[code]Я не из тех, кто фанатеет от Соника до уровня «знаю каждую зону наизусть и лор каждой игры», но классику люблю - особенно Sonic the Hedgehog 1991.
И вот с таким настроем я запускал Sonic Mania: без завышенных ожиданий, но с надеждой, что это будет тот самый Соник, только в современном виде. И знаете… игра реально попала в это ощущение. Но не без нюансов.[/code]

[*]Это прям старый Соник, но без «старых проблем» (почти): с первых минут ловишь ощущение: ты не просто играешь в платформер - ты играешь в ту самую игру из Sega Mega Drive, где: разгоняешься до безумной скорости, влетаешь в петли, собираешь кольца и боишься их потерять. Но при этом управление ощущается более точным и отзывчивым, чем в старых играх.
Нет ощущения, что игра с тобой борется - скорее наоборот, она подыгрывает тебе.
[*]Уровни: это не копии, а "улучшенные воспоминания". Когда ты видишь знакомые зоны по типу Green Hill - сначала думаешь: "О, ну это просто старый уровень опять"
А потом игра такая: "А вот тебе новая механика"; "А вот другая структура уровня" ;"А вот неожиданный босс"... И ты уже не просто пробегаешь знакомое место, а заново его изучаешь. Особенно кайф в том, что уровни стали более "живыми": стало больше интерактивных элементов, больше путей и больше хаоса (в хорошем смысле).
[*]Музыка: абсолютный вайб. Саундтрек - это отдельная тема.
Он: цепляет, запоминается и идеально ложится под геймплей. Некоторые треки реально остаются в голове а некоторые даже стали популярными вне игры(ну это и так понятно)
И главное - они не просто копируют старые мотивы, а развивают их.
[*]Чувствуется, что игру делали не "по заказу", а по любви: и это, наверное, главный плюс.
Sonic Mania не ощущается как продукт ради галочки... Она ощущается как проект людей, которые сами в детстве играли в Соника и такие: "мы сделаем так, как нам самим хотелось". И у них получилось.

[*]Много старых зон, иногда даже слишком: да, они переработаны. Да, они классные. Но всё равно иногда ловишь себя на мысли: "Хочется больше полностью новых уровней".
Особенно если ты уже хорошо знаком с классикой.
[*]Сложность местами странная: Игра может резко подкинуть непонятного босса или заспамить тебя препятствиями. Это не то чтобы нечестно, но иногда выглядит как:
"Ладно… а что сейчас?". И да, это прям наследие старых игр.
[*]Не переворачивает серию: Это не революция. Это скорее идеально сделанный ремастер классики, но если ты ждёшь чего-то уровня "вау, новый этап для Соника" - этого тут нет.

Sonic Mania - это как будто ты включил старую игру на Sega… но она вдруг стала лучше во всём.
Для меня, как человека, который любит классику, но не фанат до фанатизма: игра почти идеальна по ощущениям, но может не дожать по "новизне"

Eu sinceramente não tenho palavras pra descrever o quão bom é esse jogo. Eu sou muito fã de Sonic, muito mesmo. Sou apaixonado nesse ouriço azul que marcou minha infância e marca até nos dias de hoje. Eu diria que jogar Sonic Mania, é uma sensação de reviver a nostalgia dos jogos de Sonic antigo, literal um jogo onde junta várias fases de cada jogo do Sonic. E isso é tão... legal, sabe? Todos os sprites refeitos bonitinhos, com mecânicas novas e tudo de legal. E um fato interessante, é que Sonic Mania foi o primeiro jogo em que consegui pegar todas as Esmeraldas do Caos! E também que eu zerei esse jogo em co-op!! Eu estava de Sonic, e meu amigo Spllitt tava de Tails!! Aproveita que esse jogo tá na promoção e, você, super fã do Sonic, reviva a nostalgia jogando esse jogo, por favor. Por sinal, a OST (Official Soundtrack, ou Trilha Sonora Oficial) é MARAVILHOSA. Before giving my thoughts, this review will mention other Sonic games.

Man, after playing games like Sonic Colors, Generations 3DS and Lost World, playing this game was refreshing.

This was the first Sonic game ive ever played years ago on the Nintendo Switch and ever since i decided to play almost all mainline Sonic games, i anticipated replaying this game on PC.

This game is a love a letter to not just the Genesis games, but also the other Classic Sonic games like the 8-bit games. You can tell that a lot of love went into this game and it shows. Almost everything about this game is perfection. The levels were great, the music was excellent, the special stages were fun, the boss battles are some of the best in 2D Sonic and the pixel art is some of the best ive ever seen. Not just in a Sonic game, but ever. Its what drew me into this game all those years ago. Its a visual feast.

If there's one thing I have to say is that while the levels were great, not all of them were original. Most of them were remixes from Sonic 1, 2, 3&K and CD, especially their first acts, but their second acts had their own thing that spiced them up a little.

There's not much I have to say about this game since I just love almost everything about this game. Definitely my favorite game in the franchise and one that is worth playing whether youre a Sonic fan or not. Its just that good.

constructed with multiple paths, hidden routes, and rewards for exploration, so you are not just running from left to right but making small decisions every few seconds about whether to stay on a high path, drop down for rings, or search for secrets, and this keeps the gameplay engaging even after multiple playthroughs, because you start to notice details you missed before, such as alternate routes that shave seconds off your time or hidden items that help you reach special stages, and the game balances speed and platforming well, which is important because too much focus on speed can make levels feel shallow, while too much platforming can slow the game down, but Sonic Mania manages to give you fast sections where you can build momentum and enjoy the sense of movement while also including tighter sections that test your timing and awareness, and this balance makes each act feel distinct and memorable, and the reuse of classic zones is handled with care, because instead of 4to juego de Sonic que llego a platinar y que mejor que con Sonic Mania un tremendo juego de inicio a fin. La jugabilidad es exacta y responde perfectamente. No hay justificaciones aquí: si cometes un error, eres consciente de que es tu responsabilidad, y cuando logras hacerlo correctamente, la sensación de fluidez es increíble. Conectar movimientos, seguir el compás y pasar un nivel sin equivocaciones resulta extremadamente gratificante. Y también que su diseño de pixel art de los personajes, ambientación, fases especiales en 3D es de lo más bello que he visto y la música simplemente es de lo mejor que he escuchado con una gran variedad de canciones y mi favorita siempre será: Lights, Camera, Action! (Studiopolis Zone Act 1). Simplemente me encantó todo lo de este juego menos los niveles de agua porque csm morí demasiadas veces jajajajaja pero de que es un juegazo lo es.

[h1] ЛУЧШАЯ КЛАССИЧЕСКАЯ ИГРА ПРО СОНИКА И ОДИН ИЗ ЛУЧШИХ 2Д ПЛАТФОРМЕРОВ. [/h1]
Геймплей, визуал, способки, в этой игре идеально почти всё! Для меня это БЕЗ ШУТОК один из лучших 2д платформеров. Провёл в игре 95+ часов на свиче, и не так давно получил на руки ПК версию где зачистил игру до дыр ещё раз, и поиграл с модами (Поиграйте в MegaMix Mania). Советую абсолютно всем и каждому кому нравятся 2д платформеры, особенно на фоне ужасного Суперстарса.
И про слова всяких умников о волшебном "реюзе ассетов", могу сказать то, что это никак не мешает игре и её левел дизайну, и тому чтобы получать веселье от игры, ибо в прямо таки полных реюзов в игре не особо много, а фанаты опять наныли.

es un juego al que le tengo mucho cariño, pero la verdad no tiene mucho contenido, despues de pasarte la historia y conseguir las esmeraldas no hay mucho que hacer, el modo encore es bueno pero me hubiera gustado ver más cambios o más niveles originales, y el modo vs le faltan muchas zonas, en fin me gusta mucho los temas de todas las zonas, siempre es lindo escucharlas de nuevo, lo veo más como una mini celebracion de los juegos clasicos que como un juego completo, ver todas las zonas con nuevas visuales y gimmicks, para jugarlo de forma casual esta entretenido, pero conseguir todos los logros se me hace aburrido y tedioso.

Nearly 10 years later this game is still timeless and absolutely worth a play if you haven't already if you see it on sale and you're a classic sonic fan absolutely grab it I guarantee you won't regret it.

This game is just not as good as everyone says. It's boring and derivative, doing nothing to innovate on the Classic Sonic formula. While an anniversary title doesn't need the most innovation ever, this game doesn't even do anything to fix the core issues of the Classic Sonic games, mainly the fact that touching any moving object has, like, a 50/50 chance to kill you.
Even judging the game on its own merits, the only thing Mania really has going for it is the soundtrack, and while it's really good, it doesn't make my top 5. The art and animation is good, but they stuck to the Genesis pixel style too much, resulting in the ugly segmented waterfall staying that way. The game's CRT filter is pretty good, though, even if you are better off using a 3rd party one like in ShaderGlass.
Mania's story is the worst of any Sonic game. For some reason, reviews of Mania say that the story isn't a big part of the game and move on, while reviews of any other Sonic game heavily critique the story before getting to that whole song and dance. At least Generations has voice acting and a justification to the reuse of levels (in addition to the fact that it covers levels from the whole series, remakes them in a new gameplay, graphical, and musical style, and did the whole "revisiting levels thing" before Mania, and at least Forces has ambition and actual plot points. I don't come to Sonic games for the story, but having the story of an already derivative game be you teleporting to random locations feels super cheap.
Mania's level design sucks. Not only is a lot of it reused, but the things that are reused aren't even all too good. We have Green Hill and Chemical Plant again, even though they were already used in Generations, and every other returning level is mediocre at best. When Mania does make original level design, though, all of it except Green Hill Act 2, Press Garden, and Stardust Speedway Act 2 consist of fast running sections that deadstop you after a few seconds, forcing you into really slow and annoying platforming sections. There's no rhythm, no balance, it all feels really janky and annoying. Green Hill Act 2 is genuinely a lot of fun, and Press Garden is more nuanced, being 50 speed, 50 platforming, as opposed to 100 speed, 100 platforming. Stardust Speedway Act 2 is all speed, and I was loving it! Too bad it lasts for a minute until you get to the Metal Sonic boss. Of course, you can't forget about the horrible auto scroller level, Mirage Saloon Act 1. This level is interesting in the fact that it sucks, but people jump at the chance to hate on Iron Fortress, the classic level with an autoscrolling portion in Forces, instead of this one, just showing the double standard between the majority of Sonic fan's opinions on these two equally matched games.
Overall, Sonic Mania is a frustrating title that does nothing to advance Sonic or simply polish up the rough edges of the Classic games. It's not as bad as I'm making it out to be, you can have some fun, but the overwhelming positivity (minus the now removed Denuvo) just makes me wonder what people see in this game. I give Sonic Mania a 6.8/10.
(Also the special stages are too hard and the bosses suck, I forgot to add that and I don't really feel like naturally fitting it into my essay.)

One of the best Sonic games. The music is great, which is very important in Sonic games, and I really liked that the old zones that everyone knows, such as Green Hill, were done very well here, and there were even NEW zones in it. I really liked the look of the game and the animation. ⚡

The game is great... but only saves after you beat both acts. So if you're on the 2nd and you die, you have to run through it all again. I get it's an old school type game but as a full time worker in my 40's, I just don't have that type of time anymore.

I absolutely adore this game. It's a MUST play for every platformer fan, and WELL BEYOND WORTH IT for $20 (+$5 with DLC, which I strongly recommend). The heck are you waiting for? It goes for sale basically every other week, so you can get this amazing game for basically just $5! (With lots of hours worth of replayability.)

The steven universification of sonic is what made it lose it's edge and to be quite honest, I don't think I even care anymore. This game was made for fat gay kids with titties that sag and droop, binge watching YMS and Vaush and gooning to bog jumping with a STRAIT face and their eyes rolling back. It is a symbol of everything that is wrong.
