1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GamesPit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Service Description
GamesPit is a game review aggregation platform. We collect and display game metadata, reviews, and scores from third-party sources including Steam, IGDB, GOG, and Xbox. GamesPit is not a store and does not sell games. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game platform.
3. Data Accuracy
All game data, reviews, and scores displayed on GamesPit are provided “as is” from third-party sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data. Scores are normalized across platforms for comparison purposes and may differ from scores shown on the original platforms.
4. Intellectual Property
The GamesPit user interface, brand, and original content are owned by the operator. Third-party game data, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners: Valve Corporation (Steam), Twitch Interactive / Amazon (IGDB), GOG sp. z o.o. / CD Projekt (GOG), and Microsoft Corporation (Xbox).
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the service
- Circumvent rate limits or security measures
- Impersonate other users or entities
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
6. User Accounts
Accounts are created via Steam OpenID. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by German law, the operator is not liable for: data inaccuracies from third-party sources, service interruptions, or decisions made based on data displayed on this site. This limitation does not apply to damages caused by intent or gross negligence (§§ 276, 278 BGB).
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced on the website.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by German law. The place of jurisdiction is the operator's place of residence, to the extent permitted by law.
