This game is really something special, It's such a wholesome little experience with a ton of love poured into it. The music, the artstyle and the whole presentation of it just puts a huge smile on my face. gameplay wise it's rather simple and the puzzles are fairly easy to understand and solve. it's also pretty short, I beat it in 2.8 hours with no guide.

There is unfortunately a really really big problem I faced after having played for 4 hours, the game randomly crashed and once I tried to open it again it would get to the main menu and then freeze and close, I tried for an hour to fix it but none of advice left by people worked, The studio that made this game sadly shut down in 2022 so I also couldn't contact them for any help. I now straight up cannot play this game, It's completely bricked which is such a shame :(

If the game still worked I would rate it an 8/10, honestly buy it at your own risk

Quirky, whimsical and heartwarming.

If you're a fan of Katamari Damacy's surreal tone, or to a T by the same director, give this game a try! I felt a childlike sense of joy the entire playthrough. A short experience that can be beaten in one or two sittings, but I'll be wanting to come back to it to show friends or just jam to the music :D

[h3] Feels like playing a childrens storybook [/h3]
It's a relaxing puzzle game where you have to put together certain combinations of guys to complete tasks. The puzzles themselves are super easy, but this is for ages 3 and up so makes sense (though personally I'd recommend 6 and up since I'd imagine the controls would be a bit frustrating for really little ones).
Completed the story in 5 hours but it can definitely be done a bit quicker.
I also saw that others were having issues with the game crashing and I will say with all my settings set to high I only ever crashed 2 times and that was from closing the game through the menu. Otherwise I had zero issues.

Worth it if it's on sale and you have a decent machine to run it on.

A kind local co-op experience to play with a kid, you can finish the story in 3-4 evenings time, or just fool around sandbox style. It's about metempsychosis & friendship towards everything around us - like that philosophical game "Everything" but for kids, where instead of lengthy background lectures the holistic "new age" idea is being conveyed through short funny character interactions & you can also change scaling level of the world, which makes different types of objects available for control. The design is just adorable, and it's not a skill game like Katamari. A masterpiece, bravo!

This is such a strange little game. I do like it a lot and if you enjoy Katamari charms and vibes, I think this will be right up your alley. WATTAM is a very surreal, puzzle platform type experiences with bunch of fun and silly things to do. But once the tale is done it ultimately feels more like a game fit for a toddler, someone without much sense of how games work. On top of that, it seems several achievements are bugged and struggle to be obtained. I truly wish Steam had a middling review/depends option, but if I have to choose between get and don’t get, don’t get. :(

Silly, colorful and surreal. Wattam lives up to the expectations that come along with the Keita Takahashi name. This one has a little more existentialism in the story than either of the two previous Takahashi games but is still very lighthearted. The game is very casual and can be completed quickly if you don't end up goofing off for extended periods of time. I played through this with my child who was 4 at the time and the game was easy enough that I only had to complete portions myself a few times, the real difficulty in getting a child to finish the game is that the current objective can be easy to overlook and forget about completely while running around turning other characters into fruits or piles of poo or "kaboom"ing everyone as Mr. Mayor.

The game is a must play for fans of Katamari Damacy and recommended for people who enjoy cute, casual games. It's also appropriate for children as long as you're comfortable with them playing as a pile of poo.

The only bad thing about the game is that it freezes a bit when it's first opened and I have to manually kill the games process to close the game, even after quitting in game. I noted this to be the case on both windows and linux, the game works perfectly otherwise and it's not an issue that takes away from the game experience.

I loved my entire playthrough of Wattam. It’s cute and silly. But there’s a beautiful story, too. And, without spoilers, the story is worth seeing to the end. There’s also a neat little nod to Katamari! I’m so glad games like Wattam exist. I came to Wattam after playing To a T, which I think remains my favorite game from Keita Takahashi, with Wattam now being second.

なんだか疲れちゃった日や、雨で元気が出なかったりするとき。

このゲームでやることは、手をつなぐこと、挨拶をすること、ドッカーンとして笑い合うことです。
こんにちは！と挨拶すると爆弾でうんちが吹っ飛んで、わ～い！ってなる世界観のゲームです。
あまり頭を使わずに遊ぶゲームなので、そういうものを求めている人にはこれがピッタリでしょう。
色んなところでちっちゃいキャラクターたちが好き勝手に遊んでいて、キャッキャと楽しそうに笑っている声に癒やされます。キャラクターの名前やプロフィールも面白くて、眺めているだけで時間が溶けていきます。
お願い事を聞いて回っていれば数時間でクリアできてしまうので、気軽に遊べて良いですね。

操作やカメラワークが少し扱いづらいと言われていますが、キャラクターたちは手をつなぎたいのにどっかに行っちゃうし、誰かの背中に飛び乗った子は勢い余って天井を突き抜けて飛んでっちゃうので、もうそういうものだと割り切って楽しんでしまうとよいでしょう。吹っ飛んでも大丈夫。気がついたらふわふわ戻ってきているので。

誰しもみんながそうだったように、手を繋いで回るだけで楽しかった時のことを思い出させてくれます。
そういえば世界って素敵だったなと思い直せるような素敵なゲームだと思います。
これからも私は「おかえりなさい」が恋しくて、何度も遊んでしまうことでしょう。

J’adore ce jeu ! L’univers, la direction artistique, le gameplay, l’histoire… tout est vraiment unique et différent de ce qu’on voit ailleurs.

Je déteste les contrôles, c’est vraiment le gros point faible, eux aussi sont différents des autres jeux et je me tape encore la tête contre les murs parcque le perso avec lequel je voulais jouer a été deselectionné... ensuite je passe 2 minutes a le reselectionner, puis je le reperds en 2 secondes, aaaaahhhhhh je deviens dingue!!!

Grace a ces controles qui rendent fou j'ai commencé a pratiquer la meditation, je fais du zazen chaque matin, je me mets en position et je vide mon esprit, ça m'a rendu plus fort pour supporter la vie et ces piiiiiitains de controles mal branlés.

たくさんの人に一回触ってもらいたい、動かせる絵本のような素敵な作品です。
とても好きなゲームになりました。トロコン頑張ります。
全てを忘れてもう一回やって特大の疑問符を大量再生産したいです。たのしかったねー！

条件は不明ですが、有識者の方曰くよくクリアデータが破損するらしく、(クリアしていなくても破損するかもしれません)
やり込み途中に自分も遭遇して、ゲームを起動してから町長が手を振るロード画面でクラッシュして、ゲーム本編がプレイ出来なくなる(データ選択に入れすらしない)バグに遭遇しました。んー、問題だらけだ。
アップデートなどで修正されておらず、調べても明確な解決方法はないようでしたが、情報をかき集めて

・PCのユーザー/AppData/LocalLow/Wattamの「AUTOSAVE」のファイル名「AUTOSAVE_BACKUP」に書き換え
・「steam_autocloud.vdf」を「steam_autosave.vdf」に書き換え(ゲームを起動すると各々再作成される模様)
・同ディレクトリから破損していそうな該当クリアセーブデータファイル(SAVE○／データ名はゲーム内の1番目のデータがSAVE0、2番目のデータがSAVE1…となっていました)を削除
・steamのWattamの「設定」から「クラウドにセーブデータを保存」をOFFにする
→Wattamのアプリケーションから「管理者として実行」
上記をやってみたところ起動できました。おかえりなさい、プレイヤーさん！
その後何回かプレイしていますが、問題なく動いているようです。

自分はPCに詳しくないので余計な工程もあると思いますが、自分の場合これでとりあえずプレイが出来るようになりました。
Wattamは直前のセーブデータを起動と一緒に自動で読み込んでのプレイになるので、挙動的には最後に行った手動セーブデータが壊れていて読み込めなかった可能性が高いです。
「データの削除」を伴うため(破損データの復旧は2025/7/22現在出来ないようです)自己責任にはなってしまいますが、同じ症状になった方の助けに少しでもなれれば幸いです。

こまめに予備セーブをしつつ、素敵なWattamライフをお過ごしください。自分も今後はそうします。

The campaign is short but it's fun the whole way through. Really, in my opinion, the best part is the post-game, where you just get to travel across all of the season-shape and floating platform friends(characters) as all the unselected friends do their own things, completing the last achievements and looking through the completed friends list, or just doing whatever you want. The game's world truly feels like it captures the weird and wonderful imagination and unfiltered creativity of childhood. Down to the sort of logic of how things work, like how each friend is welcomed back; like how school supplies are brought back when you meet a textbook scribe, how the nose is friends with the flowers because of how they smell, even down to the friends lists descriptions all making a connected story about the ways every friend(as representative of the object they are) is special in their own way and why they're so important to us individually, each telling these stories of why they're created and all, like a creator designing and implementing the objects as people inhabit their world. It's cute, innocent and charming without feeling saccharine, which I can really appreciate. Music is great too, especially the mechanics with the lead instruments depending on the selected friend(s) and the song itself being what platform or season they're on, even combining as friends stack onto each other. If you enjoy collection-based creativity/sandboxy games, as well as unique, experimental and "weird" games, like I do, you'll likely love this game too.

Silly little game that I enjoyed so much!! Even if it may not be everybody's cup of tea, I need people to finish the game specifically to listen to the most cutest and warmest song ever at the end credits.

If you don't have time to though, the end credit song is " A long time : the six years" and you can listen to it on youtube :).

あまりに可愛いデザインに惹かれてプレイしてみたらめちゃめちゃ楽しいゲームだった！
最初はひとりぼっちだけれど、そこから色んなキャラクター達におかえりなさいしていくゲーム。
何をしたらいいかはちゃんと伝えてくれるので、やることが分からなくなることは少ないかと。
取り返しのつかない要素などもないため自由に楽しめるのが良かった。

基本的には問題ないが若干バグがあるため、正しい行動をしていてもストーリーフラグが立たないことがある。
(その場合はゲームを再起動すると問題なくフラグが立つ)
物理演算が暴れることもあり、大人数で手をつないでいるとぐちゃぐちゃに絡まりだしたりする。
また、キャラクターたちは各々自由に動いており、プレイヤーが操作していない間は好き勝手歩いている。
そのため連れてこようと思ったらめちゃくちゃ遠い島に行っていたり、いつの間にかうんちになっていたりする。

自分は上記内容については特に気にならなかったが、人によってはイライラすると思うのでご留意を。
デザインも世界観も可愛く楽しいゲームでした！うんちうんち！

あまり深いことを考えずにできるゲームで面白かった。ところどころ説明がなく、わからなくて詰まる場面もあったが適当にキーを押していたらなんとなく進めることができた。
クリア後に実績を回収しようと[spoiler] みんなをトイレに突っ込んでいたら、トンネルがいる島にキャラクターが集まって重くなり、開けなくなった。 [/spoiler]セーブデータを消してやり直そうにもどうにもできず、諦めた。もう少し遊びたかったので残念。でも、気分転換にいいゲームだと思った。ストーリーも好きな内容だった。

If I ever lose my way in life, I hope I come back to this game. Visuals are beautiful, music is great (especially toward the end), the game is so unbelievably charming... it's not really challenging at all but that's kind of to the game's benefit. It's just a lovely breezy time. It's like they bottled the feeling of happiness during childhood, before you knew about all the highs and lows of life. Buy this game, and then play this game, and then come back to this game when you feel jaded and cynical so it can restore you.

This is from the creator of Katamari, which this game definitely has its unique childlike charm to it. It's a short puzzle sandbox game, with a cute story attached to it.

I found the puzzle mechanics to be really unique and fun to play around with. It was never frustrating at any point, and I never felt overwhelmed by the added mechanics as the game played on.

This was a really cozy relaxing game I played before bed a lot and I really loved it! Sometimes it felt like a fever dream, but in a good way.

Wattam is a great idea that doesn't live up to the hype. I love the ideas it brings, especially the idea of having a sandbox game with no logic or rules just doing whatever seems fun at the moment. It's a great idea but the game simply doesn't have enough to play around with in that sandbox. The games story while trying to gather all the characters feels like an excuse to showcase the abilities each one has which is fine but given my short playtime of about 4 hours you can guess how much content this has. I am not gonna guess too much but this problem seemly comes from the team getting screwed over by sony and dropping the project for taking too long, making them jump ship.
Another issue is that the game breaks really easily. A good example is getting soft locked from getting some characters after finishing the story, pro tip here is to focus on the bowling pin's side quest before everyone does the final spin, making sure to check each season/island until they're clearly unlocked before you continue the story. I've also experienced a crash when closing the game, although my save was thankfully okay due to being paranoid and saving before turning the game off.

I wouldn't consider this a bad game just under cooked despite it's long development, although it is clearly something not meant for my demographic which might add to my mixed feelings on it. I recommend sticking with the artists previous work if you want something more for everyone but just as nuts as this game is; that is if you can in a few cases. Like, good luck getting your hands on Noby Noby Boy and having a save with all levels unlocked, sure as heck I can't.
