Apsolute trash game, i wasted 4 euro, only good thing is Art design. Game-play is trash because you dont have weapons and enemy is everywhere, you cant hide only ran, and that is not fun. Latter in game you get weapon but it is to weak for enemy, so i give up and uninstall game, i will never play it again. Unfortunately cant refund, 3/10,

[H1]Ragnarök en pasillos de hormigón[/H1]

Hay un momento temprano en Apsulov en el que caminas por un pasillo de laboratorio — luces de neón intermitentes, cables colgando del techo, el zumbido grave de una maquinaria que lleva demasiado tiempo funcionando sin supervisión — y de pronto aparece una raíz. No un cable, no una tubería: una raíz del Yggdrasil, el árbol del mundo, que se ha abierto paso a través del hormigón armado como si la mitología hubiera decidido reclamar lo que es suyo. Ese momento es Apsulov entero. Todo lo bueno que tiene y todo lo que le falta está ahí: la idea brillante de mezclar ciencia ficción industrial con la cosmogonía nórdica, y la modestia de recursos con la que tiene que contártelo.

Los referentes se notan enseguida. Dead Space y Doom 3, sobre todo Doom 3 — esos pasillos oscuros donde la linterna nunca alumbra lo suficiente, esa sensación de instalación científica que ha ido a peor, los audiologs de gente que sabía que estaba jugando con fuego y siguió adelante porque, bueno, los científicos de los videojuegos no aprenden ni a la tercera extinción masiva. Angry Demon Studio, un equipo de tres personas salido de la Universidad de Skövde, no intenta disimularlo y hace bien. La familiaridad no molesta; al contrario, genera una comodidad de zapatillas viejas que te permite centrarte en lo que Apsulov sí aporta de cosecha propia: el barniz nórdico. Y ese barniz, cuando funciona, funciona de verdad. Porque no estamos hablando de ponerle nombres en nórdico antiguo a los pasillos y soltar cuatro runas decorativas. Hay un respeto genuino por el material mitológico — los nueve reinos de Yggdrasil como estructura narrativa, Loki como presencia que contamina los sistemas informáticos de la instalación, el Járngreipr como prótesis que absorbe energía divina convertida en mecánica de juego. El juego de 2019 llegó justo después de que God of War reinstalara lo nórdico en el imaginario gamer, pero lo que hace Apsulov con ello es casi lo contrario: donde Santa Monica te daba un hacha que se sentía como una extensión del brazo, aquí te dan un brazo mecánico que se siente como una muleta. Y eso, viniendo de un equipo de tres, no está nada mal.

El problema de Apsulov no es de ambición ni de gusto. Es de cupo. El juego funciona espléndidamente como paseo atmosférico — lo que ahora llamamos walking simulator, aunque el término se quede corto. Cuando te deja deambular por las instalaciones subterráneas, leer los restos de una catástrofe a medio entender, descifrar los códigos con La Vista (esa visión aumentada que es lo mejor que tiene el juego a nivel de diseño de mecánicas), Apsulov tiene una cadencia que engancha. Es un juego oscuro en el sentido literal: hay zonas completamente a negro donde La Vista es tu único recurso, y esa dependencia de una habilidad con cooldown genera una tensión natural, orgánica, que sale del sistema y no de un susto guionizado. Los mejores momentos del juego nacen de ahí, de quedarte sin Vista en un pasillo que no conoces y tener que decidir si sigues andando a ciegas o esperas a que se recargue mientras algo se mueve al fondo.

Pero luego llegan las secciones de sigilo y todo se viene abajo. No se viene abajo de forma espectacular — no es un desastre — sino de esa manera más triste en la que notas que alguien ha metido algo porque sentía que tenía que estar ahí. Como si el juego necesitara rellenar un cupo de "videojuego" para que no le acusaran de no serlo. Los enemigos tienen modelos básicos, patrones de patrulla predecibles, y el feedback cuando te pillan es tan abrupto que rompe cualquier tensión acumulada. En Niflheim, el reino helado, hay gigantes de hielo por los que tienes que colarte escondiéndote detrás de columnas, y lo que debería ser aterrador se convierte rápidamente en un puzzle de paciencia donde el miedo se sustituye por la frustración de repetir la misma secuencia. Hay un pasillo en particular, lleno de enemigos, que claramente está diseñado para el sigilo pero que acaba resolviéndose mejor corriendo como si te persiguiera tu casero. Dignidad cero, efectividad total. Cuando un juego de terror te empuja a ignorar sus amenazas en vez de temerlas, algo falla en el diseño.

Y sin embargo, no puedo quitarle el mérito a lo que Angry Demon consiguió con lo que tenía. Antes de Apsulov habían sacado Unforgiving: A Northern Hymn, otro juego de terror nórdico pero con menos oficio y más bosque. El salto entre uno y otro es notable. En Apsulov hay momentos de dirección artística que están muy por encima de lo que sugiere su presupuesto: el brillo de un hacha gigante cortando la oscuridad absoluta de una caverna, las raíces del Yggdrasil que laten y se contraen como si el árbol respirara, la animación del punto de guardado — detalles que delatan a un equipo que sabe dónde poner el foco cuando no tiene recursos para iluminarlo todo. El trabajo sonoro también cumple con creces: los lamentos lejanos, el crujido metálico de la instalación, la ausencia deliberada de música en los tramos de exploración que hace que cualquier sonido nuevo te ponga en alerta. Hay oficio ahí, y hay gusto.

La historia tarda en cuajar. Durante las primeras horas navegas entre audiologs y conversaciones con un doctor de dudosa cordura sin entender muy bien qué pintas tú en todo esto, y no es hasta el tramo final cuando las piezas encajan y la mitología revela su jugada. No voy a destripar nada, pero la integración del mito de Hel con la trama de ciencia ficción es más elegante de lo que esperaba — no es un pegote temático, hay una lógica interna que conecta la tecnología de la instalación con la cosmogonía nórdica de forma que hace que quieras volver atrás y releer los logs con ojos nuevos. El problema es que esa revelación llega demasiado tarde para un juego de cinco o seis horas. La narrativa necesitaba soltar lastre antes, repartir sus cartas con más generosidad en el primer acto en vez de guardarlas todas para el tercero.

Después de Apsulov, Angry Demon dio un volantazo radical y sacó Gori: Cuddly Carnage en 2024, un hack and slash con un gato en una tabla de skate — sí, has leído bien — que no podría estar más lejos de los pasillos a oscuras de Yggdrasil. Es el tipo de movimiento que hace un estudio pequeño que sabe que no puede quedarse en el mismo nicho, pero que también sugiere que no tenían muy claro qué hacer después de haber exprimido su idea más fuerte. Porque Apsulov es eso: una idea fuerte ejecutada con más ganas que medios, un juego que funciona mejor como lugar que como videojuego en el sentido mecánico del término. Se le ven las costuras — los pasillos que se repiten, las animaciones que chirrían, las secciones de acción que no dan la talla — pero debajo de esas costuras hay algo que muchos juegos con diez veces su presupuesto no tienen: un mundo del que quieres escapar pero en el que, paradójicamente, apetece quedarse.

A sus mandos me he sentido como cuando encuentras un bar de barrio que tiene buena tortilla pero sillas incómodas. No vas por las sillas. Vas porque lo que hay en el plato tiene algo que los sitios más caros no consiguen. Apsulov es eso: tosco en las formas, interesante de verdad en el fondo.

Представьте, что вы пришли в музей: вокруг потрясающие экспонаты, золото и неон, но нет ни одной таблички, а экскурсовод уволился. Если вы знаток скандинавских мифов, вы, возможно, получите удовольствие от прогулки. Для всех остальных игра рискует стать невыносимой пыткой.

Apsulov — это проект с огромными амбициями и странной реализацией. Разработчики как будто сами до конца не решили, что создают. Для хоррора здесь слишком мало страха. Для научной фантастики — слишком мало логики. Для мифологии — слишком мало объяснений.

Если сравнивать с «соседями» по цеху, становится грустно. У нас есть философская Soma, психологическая Amnesia, выживастик Penumbra. Что пытались донести авторы Apsulov — загадка. Нам дают врагов, которых вроде надо бояться, и тут же вручают «вундервафлю», которая их аннигилирует. Враги не меняют тактику, они просто бегут на тебя с визгом в разных оболочках — то черти, то паучки. Страшно? Нет.

Но главный диссонанс в сюжете. Весь путь нас втаптывают в грязь, отрывают конечности, модифицируют тело и заставляют «ссыкливо» собирать камешки, прячась по углам. А ради чего? Чтобы в финале вывалить спойлер: [spoiler]«Поздравляем, ты — Богиня, дочь Божественного духа». И в этот момент хочется спросить: а что во мне божественного, если каждая сутулая собака на повороте может меня прихлопнуть?[/spoiler] Почему божеством командует дерганый ученый, который, как Тина Канделаки, наваливает тебе в уши тонны терминов про Хельхейм и корни Иггдрасиля на ускоренной перемотке? Пока ты пытаешься переварить первое предложение, он уже улетел на пятую тему.

В итоге мы имеем красивые пустоты. Коридорные миры в эффектной обертке. Видно, что авторы хотели повторить успех Soma, но забыли про фундамент. Там, где в Soma игроки часами спорят о сознании и человечности, в обзорах Apsulov видишь только «Ну, красиво, прикольно». Большинство просто боится признаться, что за нагромождением умных слов они не увидели смысла, потому что его там, кажется, и нет.

Это[u] игра-декорация.[/u] Если вам достаточно просто поглазеть на скандинавский киберпанк — берите. Но если вы ищете глубину, за которой обычно приходят в этот жанр, — будьте готовы к тому, что под красивой маской оленя скрывается пустота.

Are you a fan of Norse Mythology?
Are you a fan of horror?
Are you a fan of sci-fantasy or post-apocalyptic worlds?
Are you a fan of story-based RPGS with a rich atmosphere and interesting new mechanics?
Or maybe you like starting as a helpless mortal who has to hide and run who then learns to wield the power of the gods?
Whatever the case, you should definitely play this game.

Make sure you have a Younger Futhark chart so you can translate the transliterated English words written in invisible blood on the walls, and brush up on your Swedish if you're curious what the madmen are saying. Other than that, just jump into it and have fun!

Those of you who know the lore will pick up on hints and foreshadowing, but the twist at the end is really cool either way and worth playing multiple times to get the two different endings, and being able to go back and explore areas you missed the first time.

I really love this game and I've played it several times over since it came out. I really hope that we get a sequel to it (there's a surprise at the very end of the game after the credits that makes me think there could be a really cool story to tell in the sequel!)

У этой игры явно есть связь с предыдущей "первой частью", в процессе прохождения есть намеки на то, что события происходят в одной вселенной. Эта первая часть мне не очень понравилась, и были надежды на следующую игру от разработчиков, т.к. проглядывалось рациональное зерно.

Но в итоге Apsulov меня тоже разочаровал. С одной стороны интересный сюжет, авторы совместили Sci-Fi и мифологию (тут бодро тригернулись фанаты Penumbra: Black Plague), грамотно придумали замену конечным спичкам для освещения темных уголков, хорошо проработаны персонажи и анимация.

Но непосредственно играть крайне скучно - это плотный симулятор ходьбы, никаких головоломок, вместо них аркадные вовремя нажми, вовремя пробеги, просто долгая беготня и очень посредственные сражения.

Перебарывал себя, чтобы дойти до конца ради сюжета. Но Вынужден поставить минус, у игры должна быть не только атмосфера или сюжет, но и геймплей. Я большую часть игры просто бежал по большей части одинаковым локациям

Che dire.....WOW !...e chi se lo aspettava!
Un Fanta/Horror basato sulla mitologia vichinga, un connubio unico dal grande fascino.
Gioco creato senza grandi mezzi e non di lunga durata ma che ha una sua forte personalità ed unicità.
Bellissima la trama, ottima la colonna sonora a tema norrena e tanta tensione ed atmosfera .
Veramente un piccolo gioiello che consiglio senza alcun dubbio soprattutto se lo trovate in sconto.
Complimenti al team di sviluppo molto talentuoso.

This game is a epic action-adventure gameplay, with cinematic storytelling, it masterfully weaves in horror elements drawn from Norse mythology. The horror for this game isn't survival-style like Resident Evil or Dead Space—it's atmospheric, body-horror infused, it's a "Psychologically Layered Horror", amplifying the Nine Realms' dread. One also gets to learn a bit about Norse mythology through the gameplay.
I have only played 3 hours so far but I'm hooked. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Jugué este título porque lo tenía en mi backlog desde 2023 y ya me estaba pesando tenerlo pendiente. El juego en sí es bastante corto y sencillo, con un desarrollo muy lineal y un camino claro a seguir en todo momento.

Sin embargo, en varios tramos se siente más como un walking simulator, lo que puede llegar a hacerlo aburrido, especialmente por la escasísima variedad de enemigos, que es uno de sus puntos más flojos. La historia es rescatable y resulta entretenida gracias a su mezcla de mitología nórdica y tecnología, pero en el apartado jugable se queda corta y pudo haberse aprovechado mucho más.

Otro aspecto que me decepcionó un poco fue la batalla final contra Loki, que resulta extremadamente sencilla, con animaciones bastante mejorables y muy poca sensación de clímax para lo que representa el personaje.

En general, es un juego que cumple para pasar el rato, sin grandes pretensiones. Recomendable solo si te llama la atención su ambientación o si buscas una experiencia corta y directa.

Cara, 3 anos depois estou de volta com a tão esperada análise desse jogo, sim, não gosto de fazer análise de qualquer jeito.

Esse jogo aqui é incrível, mesmo porque embora seja um pouco na linha do terror, só em envolver mitologia nórdica já torna o jogo mais fácil de me conquistar.

[b]# Jogabilidade e Controle:[/b] Muito boa, sem grandes dificuldades de gravar os movimentos e geral.
[b]# Gráficos:[/b] São lindos, uma ambientação muito boa, bem desenhada mesmo.
[b]# Insígnias:[/b] Hoje em dia só tem insígnias caras no Steam, nem preciso ficar estendendo o assunto, kkkkk.
[b]# Conquistas:[/b] Chatas num geral, porque você teria que jogar o jogo 4 vezes em cada dificuldade do jogo, o que torna chato, principalmente porque nos níveis Berserker e principalmente o God a gameplay fica muito difícil, tornando muito difícil mesmo. Fora que tem outra conquista de você fechar o jogo em menos de 2 horas em qualquer dificuldade que mesmo no nível Seer (que seria a equivalência do Easy) ainda assim é muito rolê, tem que jogar na pauleira e correria danada, além, é claro de você ter tudo decorado de cabeça pra tentar agilizar isso mais rápido e tentar pegar essa conquista.
[b]# Dificuldade:[/b] Joguei nos níveis Seer e Viking, equivalendo a Easy e Normal, o Normal ainda assim consegue uma dificuldade complexa, o próximo que é o Berserker equivalendo ao Hard joguei um pouco e estressa muito fácil, no início do jogo você já passa um sufoco, o último God é basicamente pra você pegar o controle ou o teclado e estralar na parede, kkkkk.
[b]# História/Enredo:[/b] A história é sensacional e te falar a verdade, embora ele seja uma categoria de terror, o terror nele não é muito daqueles que você vai se assustar muito ou toda hora, no meu geral, eu peguei uns 6 sustos, teve mais outras tentativas, mas eram tão suaves que não vingavam e eu só seguia de boa, a história é muito boa, elementos da mitologia, a Árvore de Yggdrasil, é uma história que vai te pegar e te conquistar, pode ter certeza, às vezes inclusive esse jogo me fazia esquecer que ele era de terror e sim mais um jogo de exploração, o que torna ele ainda assim muito bom.

No mais, é um jogo bem legal mesmo, vale sua jogatina, você vai curtir e se aventurar nessa super ambientação.

A cool idea, mixing futuristic sci-fi with Norse mythology, and the setting does a lot of the work. Waking up in a cold, industrial facility tied to Yggdrasil is interesting, even if the story is hard to follow at times. The horror is mostly atmospheric rather than scary, and the gameplay is pretty basic. Some parts drag, but it never feels outright bad. Overall, it’s fine. Not something I loved or hated, just an okay horror game with a unique theme.

不推荐主要原因是给翻译很烂机翻，看不懂剧情！！希望后续能够优化解谜要素不难恐怖程度一般会有jump scare ，其他还好存档给的很充裕遗憾的是连打一个小时后我晕3d了加上看不懂剧情就放弃了如果不介意翻译喜欢体验恐怖游戏的可以入手

I bought this game during a sale, based purely on the splash art and some of the gameplay tags. And there it sat in my Steam backlog, waiting. Now, having finally finished the game, I really wish I'd played it sooner. The atmosphere, story, and the environmental design are exceptionally good, for what your brain initially expects to be a bunch of crawling in vents in the dark and being jumpscared by Unreal shop asset zombies.

Instead, you explore a facility that realistically evokes the feeling of 'infestation', with this unearthed statue, Apsulov, having revealed Nordic magic to humans as something far more Eldritch and alien in nature. The Yggdrasill Tree's roots have then spread throughout their labs as enormous, pulsing veins, some of which also allow for passage through the various Norse realms. The [i]framework[/i] of the plot, and its concepts, are extremely engaging and lure you to keep playing to find out the whole story. The limited combat is refreshing, as the sparseness of enemies in the facility means you will often be surprised when someone starts running at you out of the pure darkness.

Now, visuals. Firstly, the environmental design of this game is truly excellent. Getting around without a map is actually quite easy, and in my first run I found 24/28 of the game's collectables, along with every audio log, just by casually exploring as much as I could. The realms of Asgard that you visit through the roots are also gorgeously rendered, from the Jotunheim ice giants to the undead shades of Helheim. This, combined with crisp sound effects, create a mood of dread in every location. You will hear ambient noises and never feel quite sure if it was just ambient, or an actual enemy creeping up on you. Oftentimes, you will be in pitch blackness with only your "Sight" for visibility of the surroundings, which is quite tense.

Now with all my gushing about that stuff out of the way, I have to do a bit of nitpicking. Mostly just some design choices that confuse me, or simply don't feel 'as polished' as other aspects.

When talking about the gameplay earlier, I probably sounded like I was being vague, and that's because - aside from how little combat there is - the main mechanic ties directly into what is definitely the weakest aspect of the game, which is the narrative arc of the main character. So let's do a rough synopsis and I'll mix in the frustrating gameplay aspects there.

In this story, you are a lady. You are a very confused, partially maimed lady who awakens to a terrifying looking medical robot experimenting on you and shouting things at you. Then, after some time, you find yourself alone in a completely destroyed underground mining facility, and go exploring. Eventually, you find the CEO of the company, Henrik, who then replaces one of your arms with 'The Jarngreipr', a robotic 'Eitrium' arm that can do various things around the facility, as well as firing charged blasts at enemies.

The Jarngreipr serves all purposes in gameplay - it powers objects, it opens doors, it can fire energy pulses, and the charged shot will kill any enemy in a single hit (at the cost of most of your Eitrium charges). Using the arm, you are then able to explore more of the facility's areas, mainly seeking the remaining roots, with which to travel to the Asgardian realms whose artifacts Henrik has not yet located.

Unfortunately, Jarngreiper also introduces a very annoying gimmick - you have to manage the arm's energy. In theory, this could make sense as a balancing factor, since the charged-shot can be readied quickly and kills enemies in front of you instantly, but at a high energy cost, so you can't be allowed to spam it. In practice however, you will have no idea how much use is too much use, and the game will randomly go very long stretches without a 'recharging station' for the arm, often seeming to encourage repeated backtracks to charge the arm after a single charged shot many hallways away, so as not to waste a lot of your limited reserve of powercells. (And you better hope you're close enough for the charged shot to *hit* the enemy, otherwise it just blows a little gust of wind at them.)

If I had one particular criticism of the story, it would be that the main character doesn't have enough personality. Her tone always seems unsure what she's supposed to be feeling in the scene. She also sounds too similar to Henrik's wife Alice, who is often speaking in the same scenes, and for most of the game she just keeps asking people to explain what's happening (which they don't). The plot reveals in the back half of the game are mainly worldbuilding, and don't tell us much about the MC herself, other than [spoiler]the fact she is some kind of homonculus made from the flesh of Hel's corpse in Helheim.[/spoiler]

OK, now I'm just gonna lay into a few things I found outright terrible. Not deal breaking, just kind of eye-rolling.

- The game cannot decide on a tone in its voice acting. Half the time they sound too upbeat, too 'wacky', for the situation they're in. Like, some of the audio logs are [b]horrifying[/b] - people going insane from drinking the blood of the Yggdrasill tree, people being audibly mauled as they scream in terror. But then we meet Henrik, who sounds like he should be voicing a drug dealer in [i]Vampire The Masquerade[/i].
- The deer skull cultist guys... awful. They feel out of place, they run screaming straight at you on sight, and they look stupid. They remind me of so many bad UE jumpscare games and just look tacky. They are always placed in the most annoying, cramped hallways, and partway through, they also start respawning from charged shots. On the higher difficulties it's also instant death if they touch you. These guys are annoying right up to the very end of the game and I hate them.
- The part in the caves with all the slugs was a miserable slog, I think a smarter idea would have been to make Sight energy unlimited specifically while in Norse realms. Or maybe just a Sight upgrade that lets you to send out a small pulse that shows your immediate surroundings and how close the enemies are to you.
- If the devs make a sequel: Just make the arm's energy recharge really slowly. Remove the arm charging stations entirely. I would rather pay with my time to wait for a recharge, than feeling like I can't experiment because it's so costly. And if a charged shot is going to cost that much energy, at least make it work from further away.

Apsulov : End of gods is an exploration game. It isn’t merely a walking simulator, as there will be parts where you will have to evade, or later on even confront enemies. If you like to explore sci-fi mixed with dark fantasy environments, picking up lore (audio logs / cut scenes), you will like this game.

I played the game on normal difficulty (i.e. viking). That means most of the times you will “die” in two hits from the enemies. Technically you get a second chance, by being transported to an afterworld chamber. You can return to your previous place, if you manage to open up the portal back, by searching for the two keys for it. Too bad even there you can be chased by an enemy. Let it catch you, and it is truly game over – you will have to restart from the latest manual save. Only by the end of the game did I figure out that you can drop the key to regain your running speed.

You can run, but I usually just walked around slowly, mostly because it was a bit erratic for me firing up the running with pushing down the stick on the controller. Also, I chose the toggle style crouching. A lot of times I failed to observe that I was still crouching, and walked even slower because of that.

The game can be played with mouse and keyboard, and with a controller. I played with the controller. Targeting for shooting was a bit cumbersome for me with the controller, but there won’t be many such occasions.

The graphics of the game was good – that is when you wasn’t in near or complete darkness. But when visible, the environments were of an acceptable detail, and so were the various props. Booth the sci-fi and the dark fantasy parts were well done. The game used an immersive interaction system, similar to what was pioneered in Doom 3 with the interactive screens.

The voice acting was acceptable, though there wasn’t much of that. Right at the start I turned on the subtitles, as it was quite hard for me to parse the cybernetic voice in the starting room. I kept it on later too, just in case, but the rest of the dialog turned out to be much easier to comprehend for me. There wasn’t much background music in the game, the exploration happens mostly in just ambient environment noises. But the developers made a good effort to make those ambient noises count. There will be a few segments with background music, those are mostly emotional ones.

The game had a lot of suspenseful encounters for me. Not because of the dark setting, or the horrors of the enemies – but because the possible cost of failure. Fail, and you will have to play the punishment minigame, and if you fail that too, you will have to replay the whole segment since your last save. A lot of the exploration will happen in dark places, where you can observe only a small area around you with your “seer” eye. But most of the times you can hear hostile entities before seeing them. As such, the environment noises play a great role during your explorations. Your “night vision” depletes its energy, so you are forced to switch it off occasionally to allow it for recharge. In fact firing it up gives you a ping farther away than its regular range, and using it in that pulse mode is a valid tactic, if a bit annoying.

Early on there is no combat, when faced with a hostile entity, you have to evade, usually by running around. Eventually you will unlock your attack – which is a slow one, requiring around 2 seconds of charge up. Also it depletes a large part of your limited energy storage capacity, so it has to be used judiciously. Sometimes there is a recharger nearby, making it possible to dispatch multiple enemies, but that won’t be always the case.

There is no inventory management in the game, the inventory is mostly for showing the collected keys and quest items. Battery recharges are handled there too, though they are largely optional, the game can be completed with barely using the recharge modules. And the next objective is stated there too. There is no map and / or quest destination marker, but it wasn’t a problem for me to figure out how to progress.

You can save at static savepoints, scattered around the map. I’m a paranoid saver. If I see a save point I save, even if I just did that a couple of minutes before. Even so I didn’t unlock the paranoid saver achievement through a single playthrough. For the sake of that achievement I reloaded a chapter, and had to save 15 times at a single spot to finally unlock it.

There are some collectibles in the game. Exploring as much as I liked, I only found a bit above half of them. I also missed out on two batteries. My first playthrough was 7 hours, that with repeating the final boss fight to unlock both achievements, and to see both endings, short as they are. One is just a few sentences, the other one maybe a minute.

The game was made by a small Swedish studio, a proper entity for a game based on the Norse mythology. They really put effort to make a compelling game. Both the settings, and the gameplay was done in good craftsmanship. But even poring your enthusiasm and creativity into it, that won’t make a game a financial success. With barely over 1000 reviews, the game didn’t reach as much audience as its quality would have warranted. Their next game was a cat combat game with silly humor. In a much shorter time it produced similar amounts of reviews.

The game was stable, it didn’t crash for me.

Interesting concept, but in the end it is a very simple walking simulator. The dark green and black color scheme and intriguing mytho-futuristic visuals combined with the quick pseudo-linear traversal of the environment made this game somewhat hypnotic and kept me playing through to the finish.

Excellent indie horror.
I love the futuristic Viking horror theme. I've not seen anything else, particularly in games, which hits that kind of vibe.
The sound design is awesome and had me on edge. There's a few quite nerve-wracking sequences, and the atmosphere is great throughout.
The monster designs are cool -- even though the flayed people were relatively straightforward to deal with, their sounds and the lore behind them made them consistently creepy.
While there's some challenge to it, the game never felt overly unfair even on the highest difficulty.

There's a few points where I think player direction could be a little clearer. You have objectives, but if you were to take a long break from the game and come back remembering where you need to go can be difficult. I kinda found myself wishing for that Dead Space style line on the ground to keep me on track the first time I played it.

I love the concept for the game and the story was intriguing. I never would have thought to combine Viking mythology and future tech.

The game in itself is bit basic almost a walking simulator with some combat and puzzle elements but that doesn't hinder the game at all. The exploration was bit minimal but there is still replay value and this feels like a game someone would like to speedrun.

Has to be one of my favourite Norse Mythology Games on Steam. Not only does it use and draw from Norse Mythology, but it twists it in a way that makes it different from the traditional stories and myths found in the Poetic and Prose Edda. It does this all while keeping it grounded and believable. Definitely an underrated horror game, made exceptionally well, very engaging and is a welcome challenge.

Its beautiful, the story is interesting and its going into the abandoned pile. Unfortunately the combat sucks and the "revive" mini-game gets tedious after the fifth time of losing to a creature that pops up out of no where or your weapon pulse does nothing. Worse still you're a viking wanna be that apparently never heard of picking up a stick at least to defend yourself? Its just gets lame after a while, either make it a whole stealth game or make it a combat game, this sitting on the fence trying to be everything sucks. My last note is this to all devs... making a game dark isn't making it hard. If the best thing you can do is to make it dark then rework the idea.

游戏流程不长，7个多小时就结束了（还包括我墨迹的时间，如果快的话6个小时应该都没问题）
实际上在游玩之前，我就先看了评论区，大多数人的游戏时间都和我通关的时间差不多，当时心里就有数了。
我算是性格比较胆小的，买的逃生玩了一小段，就没敢再玩下去了，至今还在我库里吃灰。但这个游戏，我却坚持玩下来了。如果有胆子和我差不多的玩家，可以以此作为参考。
在第一章结束后，玩家可以得到游戏内的重要道具，我们也就有了可以反抗的手段，心理会轻松不少，我想这也是我能坚持下来的原因。
剧情就不多说了，以免剧透。我对北欧神话不算太了解，但游戏的剧情哪怕不了解北欧神话，应该也能看懂。不过机翻是个问题，英语好的玩家最好还是改成英语。
游戏有多周目的设定，想要全搜集的话，貌似得开二周目。
最后就是结局，我选的是消灭boss，听主角和npc的聊天，似乎有出第二部的可能，希望制作组能再接再厉！

Моментами становится страшно, но моментами антураж игры завораживает.
А уж если вы любите скандинавскую мифологию + стилистику Гигера (отдаленно, но схожесть есть) + моменты кибор-механических элементов, то стоит пройти игру.
Вроде намешали многое, но это не мешает игре быть интересной.
Игра пройдется вами достаточно быстро, если втянетесь. И через время даже зная сюжет захочется вновь поиграть

the monsters were creepy, even just standing. the story was good and different, although the wolf character seemed very important to the story and at a certain point stops being mentioned at all, I felt really bad for him.

I also liked the visuals mostly, especially helheim and the giants.

The story was pretty cool and the setting was neat with the high technology mixed with Norse mythology but there was just far too much long stretches of walking with no real exploration save for meaningless collectables. It was pretty short but felt longer due to these padding sections. Still, there was good writing so it will be interesting to see if these devs hit their stride

Это одна из первых игр, которую я приобрела на свой аккаунт, когда узнала, что такое стим. Описание и трейлер показались мне очень интересными. И несколько лет я лелеяла мысль о том, сколько увлекательного контента меня ждет в этой игре. Но! Каково же было моё разочарование :(

- Игра ооочень короткая. Я ожидала часов так 50-70, а едва вышло 10;

- Диалоги идут с такой скоростью, в которой невозможно прочитать и осмыслить прочитанное одновременно. Рус. озвучки не предоставлялось, и этот момент вызывал раздражение каждый раз. Поэтому, о сюжетной линии сказать нечего - для меня это скомканая история, без начала и конца, без глубины, какая то суета на ровном месте;

- Локации очень красивые, но в них совершенно нечего делать. Записок мало, предметов для прокачки персонажа мало и они однотипные, предназначение камней я так и не поняла. Как красивый симулятор ходьбы - окей. Но по сути - просто беготня туда сюда, ещё и без карты и без меток;

- Существ, людей, боссов можно пересчитать по пальцам одной руки. Что является полным несоответствием в моей голове - в таких красивых и обширных пространствах никого нет, а если и есть - от них можно тупо сбежать и все враги - это одни и те же модельки;

- Как хоррор - мне понравилось. Отсутствие постоянного освещения, множество пугающих звуков и сама музыка в игре были неплохими, я даже орнула пару раз. Но на этом всё. Я изначально рассчитывала на объёмную историю и развитие самого героя + немножечко хорррора. Но все стороны проекта оказались слабыми, к сожалению. Кроме графического наполнения.
Всё же было пару моментов, которые меня тронули. Первый - это встречи с еще живыми людьми, которые больше всего пострадали от происходящего. А именно - прибитый к стене хрипящий человек без кожи. Второй - это сцена с Локи, когда он нанес удар по всем, кто помогал гг и убил её саму жесточайшим образом. Не припомню игр, где после воскрешения можно увидеть собственный изуродованный труп со стороны.

Короче, ожидания разошлись с реальностью. Но игру я все же рекомендую, если покупать и запускать её без таких грандиозных ожиданий, какие были у меня :)

This game is worth a closer look. However, be aware of the dated graphics (Reshade effects are recommended: Adaptive Sharpen, Clarity 2, Colorfulness, Contrast Limited Sharpening, Image Sharpening, Levels, Local Contrasts, Unsharp...), and some very tedious sections. But certain aspects of the game remain interesting: Norse mythology, atmosphere, and a story that builds gradually. Not a hit, but it's enjoyable.

Лично мне очень зашло! В игре прекрасно проработаны сюжет, лор, интересные механики, атмосфера, визуал, гемдизайн и оптимизация. Из минусов разве только отсутствие разнообразия поведения монстров и показ лиш 4х миров из 9.

Отличная игра для любителей атмосферных сюрвайвл хорроров с хорошо проработанным миром! Я прям кайфовал от того как тут всё чётко логически взаимосвязано! Хотя записок (аудиозаписей) тут маловато даже для такой не большой игры, но всё что должно быть пояснено - пояснено. Видно что авторы прям текут по скандинавской мифологии - практически все внутриигровые тексты (те что в текстурах) написанны рунным алфавитом, что сильно способствует погружению!

Геймплей довольно интересный, по сути это эксперимент по перемешке сюрвайвл хоррора, пространственной головоломки и шутера. Хотя тут и можно убивать монстров, но большую часть игры она сильно ограничена, так что игра не превращается тупо в шутан. Я ловлю кайф с того какая перчатка многозадачная - ею и монстров убиваеш, и электроприборы врубаеш, и аккумаляторы заряжаеш, и двери взламываеш, и даже магические барьеры снимаеш, и при всём этом она превращается в имбу только под конец! И система сканирвания чипов в руках для открывания дверей с соответсвующим номером - прикольная, заставляет запоминать где с каким номером закрытые двери - классно когда проходиш место в которое не войти, а потом сам находиш ключ к этому месту.

А вот с монстрами беда - практически все это самые простейшие монстры сюрвайвл хорроров: патрулируют территорию, а как увидят игрока, бегут на сближение чтобы задомажить в рукопашку. Практически все ощущаются как тупо рескины одного и того же монстра. Хотя мой набитый глаз заметил мелкие различия в поведении...но для большинства игроков они будут ощущаться абсолютно одинаково. Отдельно хочу отметить убогость вплетения ётунов в игру - это самое тупое вплетение гигантских монстров в игру из всех что я когда либо видел! Потенциал ётунов как врагов просто смыт в унитаз!

Игру можно сильно похволить за сюжетнолорную проработку - тут не просто всё логично продумано, тут даже экспериментируют с сюжетным взаимодействием! К примеру, сохранение здесь объяснено лором и даже используется сюжетно чтобы спасти жизнь одному персу, а механика возрождения вообще оказывается центром всех событий! И тут ещё много подобного довольно смелого эксперементирования с лорносюжетными элементами.

Ещё тут хорошо проработаны уровни сложности - это не просто выкручивание урона, но и увеличение количества монстров и их чувствительности! Короче по настоящему чувствуется что геймплей сюрвайвл хоррора усложняется. А на уровне Бог даже сохранение это целое испытание. Также тут есть режим новая игра+ где сразу при получении перчатки она вкачена до финального имбауровня, так что при желании можно перепройти игру как шутан.

В плане геймдизайна и оптимизации просто отлично проработана! Её тащит на ультрах даже старенький ноут! А хабы прогрузок очень ловко вплетены в антураж игры так что игрок их может даже и не замечать!

А теперь представьте, что помимо вышеперечисленного, вам ещё нужно прятаться от странных чебуреков с рогами и не только, которые при случае не упустят возможности дать вам лишнего пинка. А те, немногие, чебуреки, что взаимодействуют с вами диалогами, почему-то так и норовят оскорбить и смешать с дерьмом.

Кто мы такие и что с нами стало? А хрен его знает. Но те, кто удостаивает нас разговорами явно не самого высокого мнения о нас, что, в прочем, не мешает этим ребятам показывать пальчиком и говорить «принеси и положь».

В общем сюжет тут есть, местами он пытается объяснить какие-то вещи, которые происходят в этом мире, но в большинстве своём выглядит кринжовенько.

Однако это не мешает игре быть интересной!

Понятный геймплей - найди, принеси, догадайся, спрячься, убегай, дерись (если не пусси). Местами занятные механики, но в основном всё построено вокруг стелса. Есть сохраняшки, есть возможность скипнуть смерть и не начинать сначала весь уровень.

Хорошая атмосфера, которая создаётся грамотным саунд дизайном.

Достойный, для индюшатины, графоний.

I am so sorry I can't bring myself to leave a good review.
Don't read it as "it's a bad game" but really just "I wouldn't tell you to take time to play it"
The art is good
The concept is good

But it all falls short.
(please take it from someone who is used to horror games, it can be very good for others!)

I couldn't get involved in the story so the end was a no no (and yet it is nordic mythology); and it was also a no no cause it couldn't be more obvious.
The monsters were (some of them) good enough visual wise, but their gameplay fell short

There are several moments the game tries to imbue fear in the player (monsters in the vents, the "avoid the dark at all cost in this area" moment, and so on) but then there is nothing. No monsters, or, there are some but you can run around without being bothered. So you're not scared of death, you're not scared of injury, there are 3.5 jumpscares that are not so good (and rather funny actually)

I played it as an adventure game quite early in the game because of all of that.

Mechanic wise the weapon is pretty bad. You have 2 types of shooting, 1st is normal and 2nd is charged.
1st is fast but doesn't do anything, 2nd is charged but you don't really know how far you can shoot with it (it's pretty contradictory at times) so it can get you killed and frustrated quite often.

There are other things but overall, just
Not a good experience
Not a bad game but definitely not a good one

This is the developer's second horror game centered around Norse mythology, this time with a Sci-Fi twist that works really well. Compared to the first game, they especially improved in the story department with a more coherent plot, a nice twist and even a choice at the end.

Graphics: While all creatures look great, human models and their animations still look a little rough. Same goes for the environments - some, like the main facility look truly stunning at times, while others like Jotunheim look too sterile / inorganic.

Performance: Great overall, despite some issues with Unreal engine shader compilation stutters when transitioning levels / loading savegames.

Sound: Creates a great atmosphere throughout with good audio cues for enemies in the player's vicinity. Voice acting isn't great, but decent enough for an indie title.

Gameplay: Deviates somewhat from the first game - While puzzles have been completely removed, basic combat is introduced to fend off against the (depending on the difficulty) numerous enemies. You're definitely not blasting your way through the game, hiding / running away / creatively pulling pursuers around obstacles is very much still a thing, but having some way to fight back feels great and is well implemented. That being said, it still feels a bit clunky, which really shows in the boss fight, making it somewhat more tedious than it was meant to be. Other than that, overall there's really nice pacing and balancing of all gameplay elements, with maybe a bit too much walking / backtracking towards the end of the game.

Overall, Easy Recommend on sale for fans of the theme and indie horror.

Отдаленно игрушка чем-то напоминает SOMA,поэтому если последняя вам зашла,то стоит попробовать и Apsulov(при условии,что Вас не тошнит от скандинавской мифологии). Хоррор-моментов на самом деле не так много,но пару кирпичей все равно отложить можно(особенно если ты не особо опытный игрок в хорроры). Итог: 7/10.

融合了北欧神话和未来科幻的第一人称恐怖冒险游戏，设定非常吸引人，未来科技和北欧神话相结合，探索的时候充满神秘感。避难所的钢铁混凝土结构搭配古老符文，氛围塑造相当到位，尤其是黑暗场景的灯光运用和音效设计，恐怖感拉满。玩法上，前期主要是潜行，中期获得机械臂后战斗节奏加快，虽然有点割裂，但战斗和解谜的结合还算不错。另外死亡后不是直接读档，还有重生机制这个挺新颖的，不过需要找两个球才能复活，中间还会有怪来追你，所以一般我都是直接读档还更快。最难顶的是机翻了，有的文本机翻得很搞笑，把order的命令含义翻译成预定，严重影响剧情体验。还有后期战斗系统让恐怖感大幅下降，有种无双割草的感觉，节奏有点崩。只能说北欧神话和科幻恐怖相结合的挺不错，氛围和创意加分，可以试一试。

Como dicen algunos comentarios es muy infravalorado y es una pena por que me parece brutal tanto la historia como la estetica vikinga,ojala saquen 2 parte por que lo merece,es cierto que es un poco walking simulator pero aun asi merece ser jugado,mis felicitaciones a los desarrolladores y espero que salga la secuela.

pretty cool topic with the sci-fi/north mythologie with a certain lovecraftian vibe.
the gameplay is decent and the story is pretty alright.
not very heavy on the scary/horror aspect i feel like + once you realise you can just easily outrun every opponment they become rather anoying than anything else.

other than that it was fun

Tja...würde am liebsten einen "ausgeglichen" Daumen geben. Absulov ist echt unique und so ist auch ein wenig die Spielerfahrung. Das Setting ist ein Hybrid aus Horror - SciFi - und Nordischer Mythologie. Am Anfang denkt man sich noch das dass nicht zusammenpasst. Später aber passt es echt gut und die Mischung geht auf. Man besucht die 9 Welten der Nordischen Mythologie. Absulov ist dabei ein indirekter Nachfolger des ersten Spiels A Northern Hymne und hat mir auch wesentlich besser gefallen als dieser. Dennoch gibt es ein paar Dinge, die stören. Da wären zum einen die sackdämlichen Gegner. Grafisch schwankt es stark zwischen "wow atmosphärisch" und "uh sieht das kacke aus". Die Charaktermodelle sind einfach komplett hässlich und doch irgendwo kreativ. Und gegen Ende ist das Spiel künstlich mit Backtracking-Stellen gestreckt. Daraus ergibt sich ein weirdes Spielgefühl was ich so bisher noch nicht oft in Horror-Games hatte. Wirklich Horror ist es nicht, eher Walking-Sim mit paar Gegnern. Am Ende entspinnt sich dann aber eine doch recht spannende Geschichte rund um Loki und die 9 Welten. Man bekommt am Ende sogar eine Entscheidungsmöglichkeit. Alles in allem ist Absulov: End of Gods dennoch zu empfehlen. Wer hier kein Soma erwartet, kann durchaus seinen Spaß haben.

Primeiro de tudo, o jogo te entrega algumas coisas de mão beijada, simplesmente porque o foco do jogo é a história e não a resolução de puzzles.
Segundo, a jogabilidade é gostosa, na minha opinião, me senti a vontade com os comandos.
Terceiro, o gráfico, eu considero interessante pra premissa do jogo, afinal, um jogo não é feito de gráficos, e sim de um compilado de fatores, e um dos fatores mais forte é a história e ambientação nesse jogo.
E por ultimo, a história, eu gosto de mitologia nórdica, não sei tudo, mas, gosto, e esse jogo aborda essa mitologia mesclado com tecnologia, onde suas ações desencadeam o ragnarok.

Eu recomendo esse jogo sim, existem ambientes que te deixam tenso e alerta, mas o jogo também te deixa mais confiante por conta de suas habilidades ofensivas!

Eu já decidi iniciar o jogo no nível Hard ( dificil ), e achei o jogo relativamente fácil durante os capitulos, o jogo fica mais dificil no final, principalmente no ultimo boss!

Na minha primeira Run, conquistei 26 conquistas de 39, onde as 13 restantes, 4 são coletáveis e 9 divididos entre zerar no nível very hard e zerar em menos de 3h e 2h.

O jogo é gostoso e não me arrependo do investimento!

Любителя скандинавской мифологии, или марвелофилов которые восхищаются молом Тора и всем таким подобным.

Задумка классная но реализация оставляет желать лучшего.

Плюсы:

Красивая визуально (но 90 % времени ты в вентиляции лазишь)

Оптимизация

На этом то и все. Остальное минусы как по мне. Можно пройти за два вечера ради истории. Но не рекомендую.

Part walking simulator, part horror game. It's a blend of styles with the story being it's most important aspect. This techno viking sci-fi game exceeds mostly in atmospheric storytelling and visual faire, more than in it's gameplay. It was a nice indie trip I gotta say.
