Nidhogg 2 es un juegazo, pero con matices...

He visto a gente quejarse del apartado artístico, cosa que para mí es incomprensible, yo llegué aquí precisamente por su apartado artístico. La música es buena, el apartado gráfico espectacular y el estilo es chulísimo. La principal razón por la que adquirir el juego.

Jugablemente deja un poco que desear, es cierto que el que sea simple está bien, pero es demasiado simple. Muchas acciones se llevan a cabo con los mismos botones y al menos para mí, los controles por defecto son bastante malos, pero no hay mucha personalización. Para mi es lo peor del juego.

En cuanto al contenido, es suficiente para el tipo de juego que és, pero al no tener una gran cantidad de contenido, no creáis que os va a dar para muchas y fascinantes horas de juego, tiene lo que tiene y está bien, cuatro armas y alrededor de una decena de mapas. Está bien para pasarte "la campaña" (el modo arcade) una vez y luego para jugar con o contra algún amigo.

El precio completo del juego no merece para nada la pena, las cosas como son. De oferta está a casi 6 euros (no sé como será en sus países) que es un precio interesante si puedes permitirte gastar en ocio con libertad y sin preocupación, pero para alguien con muchos gastos, estudiantes o chavales no merece tampoco la pena (más que nada porque no os va a dar tanto juego).

Eso, un buen juego, pero es breve y tampoco es que lo compense una historia preciosa como lo puede hacer en el planet of lana o algún título similar (que ya de por sí, son más baratos).

Simple addicting gameplay, easy to pick up and hard to master. The updated visuals aren't needed, but i enjoy the direction they went with. Some folks don't like the new weapons, but you can remove them if you and a friend are looking for a purist battle.

Both Nidhogg 1 & 2 are great games with different styles and offer duels that will both make you laugh and yell. There was a show I helped set up that involved people facing off against each other using apples, a DDR pad, Rock Band guitars and more - the controls are simple enough that any controller should work. :)

Got this game as part of a bigger bundle and I'm honestly surprised how good and fun it is. Takes about 1 hour to beat singleplayer and then it's great to pull out for local pvp with 2 controllers when your friends come over.

While nowhere near as deep, varied, or competitive as "big" fighting games like Street Fighter etc., Nidhogg 2 manages to fix most prior problems and supersedes the first game. It's still a funny game to play with your friends.

Pros:
[list][*] The controls are more sensible.
[*] The new weapons add variety, counterplay, and asymmetrical combat.
[list][*] The broadsword offers large coverage for disarming and killing foes, but it is slow to swing, has reduced horizontal range (since it doesn't thrust), cannot kill by mere touch like other bladed weapons, and lacks a mid stance.
[*] The dagger has short range but offers rapid attacks and a superior weapon throw. For example, it can pass over a mid stance on level ground, unlike the thrown rapier.
[*] The bow offers maximum range and can be fired both in the air and in advance (before your opponent spawns). Unfortunately it takes a moment to draw the bow every time, it offers little anti-air protection (you can throw it for a knockdown but it won't kill), and your arrows can be deflected. I'm pretty bad with it.[/list]
[*] There are more stages with better layouts that actually fit the gameplay.
[*] Game options/cheats are slightly more robust, notably letting you reorder/disable weapons and techniques (like dive-kicks).[/list]

[list][*] The stage elements are still surprisingly static and uncreative. I was expecting dangerous fireballs or lava spouds in the volcano stage but instead you just get... treadmill lava?? Or like, the cloud stage no longer has vanishing platforms. It doesn't even have vertical moving cloud platforms or anything. I think back to the 2nd level of Super Mario Bros. and have to wonder why game designers are still so weak at their craft after all these decades. It feels a bit lacking.
[*] I'm no music critic, but I feel like the music is worse and much less memorable overall. Bafflingly, the original soundtrack is omitted.
[*] Compared to Nidhogg 1, the price of the game + soundtrack has increased from $10 to $28. I'd pick it up on sale or in a bundle.[/list]

In high school, I would watch a friend play the OG version of this game instead of paying attention to the teacher. I was bored to death in that class and dreamed of being able to play. Well, several years later here I am with the new and improved Nidhogg 2! It's everything I dreamed of an more. Unless you're a die hard stick figure fan, yes the graphics in this version are way better. The soundtrack is also banger and the improved movement abilities add much more flow and skill to the game. With how enjoyable this is solo, I can't wait to play with my roommates.

A disgraceful insult to the first game. The art style is hideous and cluttered, the bow and dagger should never have been in this game, you cant use d-pad AND analog controls at the same time, the physics are all sorts of wrong, the devs stooped to pathetic toilet humor, and the soundtrack has seen a major downgrade.

Play Nidhogg 1, the art was understated and stylistic, the music was an absolute delight and it had much more delicate mechanics with better controls

i don't really know how to feel about Nidhogg 2. i feel like i would have a better time with it if i had played it before the first one, because a lot of the interesting nuance of the first one is gone in favor of it being more like a chaotic party game (weapon variety and faster, more responsive movement replace more methodical swordfighting and every fight feeling like a somewhat even match). i recommend it, but definitely don't skip out on the first one

Lo que cambia respecto al primero son los graficos que dejan de lado el minimalismo, para dar el salto a un pixel art muchisimo mas detallado con una iluminacion tremenda. Mientras que en lo jugable se añadieron variedades de armas.
Es buenisimo, y lo mejor es que se conserva la jugabilidad original que tan divertida es. Aun asi no recomiendo saltearse el primer Nidhogg.

＜昔買ってレビューを書いていなかった作品。通常のレビューより簡素＞

負ければただの敗者として死を迎える。
勝てば栄誉ある生贄に選ばれて死を迎える。

本作は対戦型アクションとなっていて、CPU戦が用意されているが100%楽しむには友人と遊ぶのが一番だろう。とはいえ、ゲーム自体は大味なのであくまでパーティゲームの一種としてゆるく楽しむのが健全と思われる。

個人的に気になったのはタイトルのよくわからなさだ。

Nidhogg…日本語読みだとニーズホッグ、ニーズヘッグなどと呼ばれる北欧神話の竜でよくゲームに出てくるが、「人を食べる」「生贄を捧げられる」といった逸話がなく、どちらかというと「勝者が誉れとして生贄に選ばれる」という文化はアステカのほうなので、どういう意図でこのタイトルにしたのかしっくりこないものがあった。

I don't know if there's ever been a worse sequel. I held off on buying this for quite a while and my hesitation feels validated after finally playing for a bit. It feels awful compared to how tight the original controlled and all the new weapons are kind of a mess. I found myself ditching the bow whenever I spawned with it and preferring hand-to-hand. The one place that feels like an improvement is the soundtrack, but it can't make up for everything else. I couldn't even bring myself to keep playing the arcade mode. I still recommend the original, but maybe skip this one unless you're just *really* curious like I was.

It's really not bad per se, and unlike most I quite like its art style, it's just... Why Nidhogg? Nidhogg's beauty was in its simplicity, this just feels lke a strange fanmade reskin with some new bells and whistles, yet it's licensed as THE official sequel to that silly lil game. I just don't get it. But hey, it's more Nidhogg, so I can't complain.

Just bought this game and played it with my brother for almost 3 hours. Had a single match last one whole hour we reached a point where he started questioning out friendship.

Una joyita que pasa desapercibida.
Cuando superas la barrera de pensarlo como un party-game te encontras con las mejores mecanicas de pelea en un juego 2D desde la vez que un plomero italiano decidio manducarse una flor brillante random que se encontró mientras cabeceaba ladrillos pasadisssimo de hongos.
Cuando enganchas el ritmo del juego parece que lo programaron solo para vos.
Llevandolo al limite, tiene sus bugsitos, sus pequeños glitches y ya de movida la IA no sirve para nada...
Pero si conseguis a alguien que la viva tanto como vos en un juego que te alimenta la competividad y que te da todo el lugar para que seas vos el que mejora, tenes un JUEGAZO full competitivo.
Por otro lado, tremenda música, tremendos mapas y las caracteristicas especiales de cada arma son un 10.
Esta falopeada es ARTE, corta.
