La-Mulana 2 is an uncompromising, deeply cerebral sequel developed by NIGORO and published by PLAYISM that expands upon the philosophy and design ethos of its cult-classic predecessor. Rather than softening its edges or streamlining its systems to appeal to a wider audience, the game doubles down on dense exploration, cryptic puzzle-solving, and a refusal to guide the player overtly. It is a game that expects curiosity, patience, and persistence, and it rewards those qualities with one of the most intricate and memorable exploration experiences in the modern Metroidvania genre.

The narrative follows Lumisa Kosugi, daughter of the original protagonist, as she ventures into the newly discovered ruins of Eg-Lana to investigate a sudden outbreak of monsters and uncover the deeper secrets buried within the labyrinth. Storytelling is largely environmental and fragmentary, conveyed through ancient tablets, murals, and cryptic inscriptions scattered throughout the ruins. Rather than presenting plot points in a linear fashion, the game encourages players to piece together lore and context gradually, often long after encountering the initial clues. Has the same issues as the first game - clunky and infuriating movement & knockback mechanics. Bad boss fight designs (and actually reaching them in the first place), too overwhelming and complex and unlinear map structure combined with really vague hints that apply all over the place. I really tried to get into this game but it has too many issues to justify continuing and being able to enjoy this.

前作よりも操作性良くなったというレビューが散見されていますが、それでも操作性は悪いです（魔〇村みたいな。本当に前作よりは良くなった、としか評価できないんでしょうね…）。

謎解きはそこまで難しいものではないのですが、全体的に痒いところに手が届かないという感じで、価格に対するボリュームは申し分ないのにプラスとマイナスを考えたときにマイナスのほうが大きくなるという、そんな印象。

なお私自身は他機種で前作をプレイ済で、適当に流し見してた実況動画(RTA)で本作を思い出し、もしかして遊びやすくなっているのか？という気持ちで手に取ったらそうでもなかった、という具合です。
まぁ全然やろうと思えばやれるんですけど、なんていうか、モチベーション下げてくるイライラポイントは相変わらずで、その上往年のARPGよろしく最終セーブポイントから巻き戻しをくらうので、気が落ち着いてるときに進めるかなという具合です。

うん…まぁ前作を思えば、面白いことは面白い…んだとは思います。が、これは人には全くおすすめできないですね。

The original La-Mulana was just such a fascinating game to me. When I played the MSX style version like a decade ago it felt like I'd happened upon some truly archaic ♥♥♥♥, a game that seemed to actively discourage you from making progress. I love a game where the theme kind of mirrors the feeling you get playing it, and solving puzzles in La-Mulana truly feels like you're stumbling through ancient mechanisms designed to trick interlopers. The sequel pretty much delivered exactly what I wanted and expected. It is at its core just more La-Mulana, with some nice quality of life features and a little less obtuse puzzle solving. I think they did a better job ramping up the difficulty in the early game. Where as LM1 can make you feel like you hit a brick wall within the first hour, LM2 gives you a gentler introduction to what the game will come to expect of you, and allows you a little more freedom early on to just explore without having to necessarily solve anything. Eventually that pace picks up and you get into the real meat of the puzzle solving, with classic LM puzzles that span across multiple areas. I think the late game gets a bit tedious and honestly many of the bosses are a pain (they generally weren't great in LM1 either) but La-Mulana still remains a completely unique experience.

Game is purposedly engineered to make you waste as much time as possible.
- Controlling the character for simple things like jumping is made very difficult.
- Traps that kill in one hit, making you restart at your last save and lose progress.
- Only one save place per area.
- Health restoration is only available by teleporting back to the start of the game.
- Obtuse puzzles with obscure hints that have you wandering around aimlessly for hours.
- Simplistic bosses that are only hard because they hit you for too much damage. If you thought silksong was bad this is worse.

All in all a very poor excuse for a game.

Holy moly what a pleasant experience. I was torn between finally trying La Mulana 2 and Silksong and do not regret a moment that I picked La Mulana 2. If you've played the first one you're getting a similar experience in all the best ways, with even crazier lore. One notable improvement is the little pixel animations - the first one had fine animations but the second is buttery smooth and just watching the actions make every button press a visual joy. Although I'd describe the music has having higher highs but lower lows than the first. At least there's nothing quite as... Song of Curry as Song of Curry so you won't go insane being stuck in an area for a very long time.

Without a guide La Mulana 2 took me around 60 hours to complete, although this is coming from having played the original and its remake several times. Looking forward to going back and finishing the bosses again on hard difficulty.

Some general hints to keep in mind.
1. Remember/Write down the names of rooms. Room names are often giant markers for what to do or what they hold.
2. Don't assume you aren't ready or cannot do a puzzle yet. You'll find you often can, or at least be able to sus out what exactly you're missing by messing around abit.
3. Go back to revisit and talk to npcs. Write down what they say - sometimes they won't repeat information.
4. Just because there's no text highlighted on a tablet, doesn't mean it doesn't have important

To be blunt, this game is not nice to the player at all and is hard for the wrong reasons. While the controls are better than in the previous game, there is still the same trope of minibosses with very poor tells and extreme speed while your attack range is limited and you're slow. In addition, there are many, many instant death trolls and the puzzles get downright annoying with garbage like having hints scattered all throughout the entire game with vague terminology that makes it hard to tell if it's just lore or not and the game's text saver has limited space and absolutely no organization options meaning that no matter what, trying to find the hints is an aggravating slog. Plus, some rooms names are mentioned in the hints and you can only see the name of the current room you're in and can't mark the map yourself at all. It's much better to just get a guide, especially when you have to start figuring out which mantra combinations to use...

If you don't mind being trolled and constantly getting the middle finger while searching all over for that one vague clue you need, go ahead and get this game and the DLC while you're at it (I REALLY hate that fish...). If you're looking for a challenging metroidvania that's hard for all the right reasons and is a tough but fair challenge that may push your skills, look elsewhere...

You know how, in most games, if you see a hallway littered with dead bones and bloodstains, you think "sick, there's probably a boss fight coming up or something"? In La-Mulana 2, if you see a corridor covered in bones and blood, you should be thinking "I shouldn't go in there. That's a deathtrap. I'll die."

That's the game in a nutshell - both brutally difficult and surprisingly fair about it. It will warn you about the deathtraps, and you won't notice the warnings and you'll die. It will write the solution to a puzzle on a tablet, and then you'll forget about it, and then when you check the wiki for help you'll see that the solution was literally written down for you and you'll feel like an idiot for not noticing. But on the other hand, when you *do* spot the deathtrap or draw the connection to the cryptic clues, you're going to feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genius. It's a metroidvania where half the time, the thing that unlocks a new area of the level isn't a new powerup or weapon, it's just a tablet with a clue that cracks open the puzzle you saw ten rooms back.

Towards the end of the game the puzzles get a bit too esoteric for my liking - one puzzle had so many pieces on so many tablets that I started to run out of room in the notes app to write them down - and there are a couple of unfair puzzles with hidden passages. You're almost certainly going to need to check the wiki to figure out some of the puzzles. But on the whole, it's a good time and very absorbing. As good as the first La-Mulana, or even a bit better.

Ruined other metroidvanias for me. Usually I wonder why another one makes me waste time on backtracking and 'puzzles' when the sense of exploration and accomplishment are nowhere near the La-Mulana games.

One of the combat-heavy endgame areas is kind of meh but was improved in patches after release. Everything else is 10/10. Having replayed this on hard mode some years later the boss fights are also pretty engaging on that mode after updates.

The puzzles and difficulty curve are a smoother ride compared to the first game. It's much less likely you get stuck on an obtuse wall of a puzzle or need to look up solutions online. This isn't at the cost of things feeling too easy. The final puzzles in La-Mulana 2 are some of the most memorable experiences I've had in any game.

If someone wants to save time and aren't sure they'll be into these games I often recommend playing this one first as it's less probable they'll feel like quitting halfway through.

One thing I really like about this game are the ingame note-taking tools. You can use ingame gadgets to keep track of things you haven't figured out the purpose of for the vast majority of the game instead of having to rely on external tools like screenshots. I appreciate being self-contained like this and avoiding a meta approach to puzzles.

单周目50h通关纪念，不看攻略自己推到冥界门口，之后的大谜题实在没力气去找以前漏掉的石碑……不折磨自己了。
一款从设定到机关乃至陷阱都很精妙的游戏。比起“银河城”，更像“基于平台跳跃的解谜游戏”，如果没读懂石碑上文本的提示和地图元素的暗示，不仅仅是卡关，还有奇妙陷阱等着你。这一作是有官方中文的，虽然存在些许不准确，但还是比只有日文和古英文的前作推起来舒服些。本作和前作相对独立，直接从2开始玩也没问题，设定上也有内置的“研究录”补充说明。
游玩体验方面
解密提示可能并不只在本张地图的石碑上，请好好保存文本，如果储存到达上限可以用steam自带截图功能保存。
信件，npc对话也可以通过同样的方法保存。通常来说它们是方向性上的提示，如果不知道下一个要讨伐的是谁就问问当地居民吧。触发新对话的时机并不固定，但有关联性的npc会告诉你他们死对头的弱点，地图的秘密乃至手上道具的用法，不妨卡关了就到处做客。

剧情设定方面
“现存人类所有神话都来自于同一个存在”是最基础也是最带感的设定。在熟知的神话间创造出了令人遐想的空白：这么多神话都有创世神和冥神，正义和邪恶，创生和毁灭，它们之间是什么关系？遗迹中各式的封印与机关又反映出它们制作者怎样的动机和想法？

战斗方面
boss数量很多，大多取材自神话中的灾难和妖怪。大boss一共十个，演出时髦度拉满，而且很贴心的给了快速重置来降低挫败感。小boss招式设计比较单一，绝大部分能找到固定的引招抓后摇循环，或者扔道具的安定点。装备和武器的加成相当巨大，总体上更鼓励充分探索后再来打。
相对的，是操作性比较差，角色空中起跳后控制方向比较困难，且击飞硬直大，有的时候小怪一脚过来踹进刺/毒池/即死陷阱/跑酷起点就挺黑色幽默的，踹下去那一刻才能体会地图设计的精妙之处。

对能对的上电波，或者享受和人斗智斗勇的玩家来说，当之无愧的佳作。

It pains me to not recommend this. I went in with extreme optimism. "It's like LM1, but the puzzles are actually fair" they said. This time around, I knew the workflow the game expects of you, and what info to track along the way. You play LM1 with a guide as a dry run to understand the framework to properly engage with LM2 without one.

For LM2, I literally spent over 100 hours meticulously charting every single room and data point the game has to offer in Obsidian as images and searchable text to make sure I was never missing a single hint you're expected to recall. A tablet mentions some lore that seems central to a puzzle? Pull up a list of every time that lore term has been hinted at up to this point, etc. I was fully committed to solving this entire game without any external guides, and excited about the eventual payoff.

Guess what? This somehow still wasn't enough to complete the game without guides. The problem isn't that every puzzle is bad, it's that a game this complex needs to be 100% air tight for the experience to feel worth the amount of effort expected of the player. One bad puzzle, and the player has no way to finish the game authentically, and that dreadful feeling of an unearned victory now permanently taints the experience. I am frustrated that I still had to end up looking things up, not even through any fault of my own, but because of a glitch where I permanently missed an item. While researching this, I had to figure out if that item affected the current puzzle I was on, and right there my playthrough effectively ended. It's a known glitch since 2019, and the developers have simply never fixed it. [spoiler] King Frey was replaced before I met him, so I never got the Fairy Pendant. 60 hours of playtime not ever having access to any fairies. I had to discover a 2nd glitch that made fairies randomly work again, just to fix a progression issue caused by the 1st glitch. Are you kidding me? [/spoiler]

Some of the biggest/hardest puzzles like [spoiler] Brahma's Trials [/spoiler] I actually managed to pass easily since they use very logical setups, and most importantly have a clear way to input the answer. Despite solving it, I found the [spoiler] Dark Star Lord's Pedestal [/spoiler] to be obtuse, because [spoiler] they make it clear that its the same easy puzzle with a new symbol, but then it is not hinted at exactly where you input this answer. The 1st two DSL puzzles are in one room, but for some reason this 3rd one is different, and there is no visual indicator of a pedestal aside from the mantra wall text saying there is one, but they mention this Benben Stone in a hint, seemingly just to divert your attention to the top of the pyramid where you will think you can cast this mantra. The only way to solve it is to spam the normal and inverted mantras all over the pyramid and footprint room until you find the unmarked location it goes. Completely unfair. [/spoiler]

Although the glitch was what resulted in me having to look up a hint, the subsequent "puzzle" was the final straw:

[spoiler] Summoning Hraesvelgr in the Underworld. I found every hidden path, breakable wall, mantra spot, etc. and I charted out and understood the gate system perfectly. I created a pathway that fulfills every single parameter of the sigil icons/order on the doors. I had to rely on a damage boost off an enemy to clear the part after gate #5, but undeniably that was the matching sigil for gate #5 and everything else lined up. No matter what, the final gate just kills you anyway. There is a single hint relating to this killing gate #7, which just says basically that it will kill you. Great. In my notes I wrote that Hraesvelgr is the only other thing left, but there was no other possible gate configuration that met all the requirements anyway. Was that glitched inventory slot a key item that I was missing, such as a way to dispell the 7th gate killing? Hraesvelgr is in the Alfr prophecies, but I tried casting the night mantra on Heimdall for example, and nothing happens, so those seem to refer to a very late endgame that hasn't been reached or interacted with yet. Hraesvelgr's glossary refers to him as an eagle, and there's a bird statue in Icefire, but there wasn't any way to interact with that either. The prophecy almost entirely focuses on talking about the statues, then mentions Hraesvelgr is in the treetops. Tablets say when all Ratatoskr's around the map are defeated, Hraesvelger will return to his body, and since he isn't interactable yet, then there must be more fights left. Ratatoskr appears throughout the game, but I've explored the entire map, so I guess he has one more appearance past the gate puzzle?

No, none of these considerations matter. You cast the Missing mantra from the 1st prophecy in every room Ratatoskr has been in, including a room that he shows up in for a second (I even took note of that. Imagine if I hadn't!). There is no indication that the Alfr prophecies will actually be interactable 40 hours after you've unlocked them, that the first one will be doable way before the others, that there are no more Ratatoskr's left to fight, how to input the answers and engage with these prophecies at all, that you have to defeat Hraesvelgr before the gates puzzle, that the 7th gate is tied to the Hraesvelgr fight, that the prophecy is referring to summoning him specifically when it mentions many other things, or that the Ratatoskr rooms have any lingering thing to do. All the info about him in the entire game up to this point is saying where his statue is and that he's waiting for all the Ratatoskrs to die. How is that enough context to ever figure out how/when to solve this puzzle? [/spoiler]

This is a classic LM1 type puzzle where after looking up an answer or accidentally solving it you would realize what all these "hints" refer to, but there is no framework presented to the player for interacting with the puzzle in a meaningful way. [spoiler] Couldn't they have a Mulbruk or Xelpud message, or more info on his statue scan? It's the hidden Mario pipe puzzle from LM1 all over again where the parameters of interactability for the puzzle are completely undefined, and it is in an area of the game that is characteristically more cryptic, non-linear, and different, so you have no way of telling what you reasonably have left to try or not.

Others include the "colossal dragon neck bite" puzzle being brilliant and satisfying, but marred by Nidhogg's glossary being the only instance of a "colossal dragon" in the entire game despite him having nothing to do with the puzzle. Also, Charon literally had a false hint to mislead you, but no real hints, so you go from -1 to 0 hints by figuring out the lie. I only solved it by meta understanding that the gold stealing NPC logically had to exist for this exact purpose from a game design perspective, which isn't in the spirit of the game's lore-centric puzzles at all. [/spoiler]

Apparently there is a glitch immediately after solving the puzzle I gave up on too. If I had continued playing and did my usual safety strat of warping out and saving before going into a boss fight, that would have triggered another glitch that permanently bricks your save file from completing the game. Seriously?

If you have to look up a guide for a puzzle game because it feels like there is nothing left to try, that game has failed you and is no longer good or fun from that point onward. You lose trust in the game designer's ability to make fair puzzles with clear parameters of engagement from then on, and the tendency to assume the game has failed you again gets harder to avoid since you were correct in assuming the game miscommunicated its rules to you before. I've lost faith in this series' ability to pull of their ambitious ideas in a way that will ever stick the landing, as both games made me feel like I had ultimately wasted my time attempting to engage with them to the extent the developers expected me to.

You will be drawing maps, symbols and clues and running around for HOURS because you made a mistake while drawing a copy of a mural or an ancient tablet.

The Puzzles and riddles in this one are far less obscure than the first game, as long as you take note of everything and don't make mistake while doing so.

If you liked the first game, this one is a great sequel;your knowledge of the ruins will help you better understand the lore and a few riddles along the way!

Unlike the first game game, this game is not fun at all. It's not even really about puzzles anymore. It's just a punish platform. The first game had a perfect blend of difficult platforming and brain bending puzzles. This one has brain dead puzzles that are all gated behind tablets and horrible horrible enemy placement with terrible terrible platforming. Feels like the people who made this had no clue why anybody enjoyed anything about the first. I high recommend against this. If you are thinking "I'll just try the second and skip the first" DO NOT DO THAT. Skip the second. Just pretend it doesn't exist and play the first. Be happy it happened and end it there. Another kickstarter failure.

EDIT: btw the "most helpful negative review" is 6 years out of date and talking nonsense about some bugs that no longer exist and the reviewer hasn't removed or updated their erroneous review. Figured I'd point that out straight away.

I don't know why I forget to review my favorite games. Anyway, this is one of the very best metroidvanias every created, possibly the greatest of all time (much like the first game). I've played over 150 metroidvanias, and this is god-tier stuff. Some of the hardest boss fights, some of the hardest puzzles, some really fantastic music (although I don't love all of it). Great pixel graphics. It's just a phenomenal game. Very cool lore. Just... just buy it. Just buy it already.

If you've played La Mulana 2, you know what you're getting yourself into. You'll be getting everything you want in a sequel. It's got all the things you liked about the first game - the esoteric puzzles, the rad music, the clunky controls- and expands it in all the right ways. No brainer for anyone who liked the first game, buy it.

If you've never played La Mulana, it's hard to know if this is the right game for you. It isn't for casual gamers. This sounds like an insult, but it isn't. If you want to boot something up to kill some monsters, solve some puzzles, and just have a good time, this might not be the right game for you. This is for people who enjoy the process of failure. The process of bashing your head against an obstacle so you can get that endorphin rush when it finally breaks down.

I find the hardest thing about making a good hard game is making you feel accomplished by overcoming the obstacle the game puts in front of you. I can't say that La Mulana 2 succeeds in that every time, but more often than not, I am pumping my fist with joy when I solve that puzzle.

Now, I will say that solving everything completely blind is brutal. Indeed it is incredibly old school in its method of advancement. It doesn't feel like it's intended to be played solo. It is old school in its design that it seems to expect collaboration between a few people who can find things separately to share with the group. I went as far as I could without looking anything up, but near the end there are some pretty difficult puzzles. I am not ashamed to say that I looked up hints. Perhaps the game should be at a level where hints aren't needed, but I like the option to do so, as no game will be the same, and each player will find or miss things unique to them. I like that they made it fiendishly difficult for those who enjoy it, and you can always cheat a little if you're too weak for that sort of thing.

If you've never played La mulana but it sounds like something you want to try out, I would definitely recommend trying out La Mulana first. It is a direct sequel, and many aspects of the first game are referenced in the second. I don't think you need any knowledge from the first game to actually beat La Mulana 2, but it certainly helps you to understand the lore behind it all.

Steamの謎解きゲームを好んで遊んでいるのですが、このタイトルはアクションも難しく、設計もいじわるで、謎解きもプレイヤーを突き放すような高難易度。これまで遊んだゲームでも最高難易度のグループに入るジャンキー向けのゲームです。

しかし待ち構える謎は極上で、考えればしっかりと芯の通る答えがあり、理不尽さはほとんど……いや、あんまり……少ししか無いと思いました。どれも解けたらうれしいのですが、本作のいくつかある大謎は遺跡の謎（ストーリー）と密接に紐づいたものばかりで、とある謎が解けたときの感動はクリア後3年経つ今でも忘れらないほどのもの。

もちろんシリーズ通してとても面白い……のですが人においそれと勧めるのはかなり厳しい難易度ではあります。しかし、今作では操作性がとてつもなく改善されています。
『1』を遊んでいるからこその感動が何シーンかあるのですが、『2』はそれがなくても20回、30回では足りないほどの感動と興奮が待ち受けています。なので、個人的には『1』で挫折してしまうよりは『2』から遊んでもいいんじゃないかなと思います。

まるで冒険映画をカット無しで、本当に遺跡を探検し頭を悩ませるという体験はかけがえのないものがあり、本作はそれの最高峰と言うほかない素晴らしい作品です。
歯ごたえのある謎解きゲーム。という枠組みにはとどまらない神ゲーなので心からおすすめします。

Had fun. I don't think there would ever be a world where this was better than the first game, but it does a decent job at iterating on what the first game does and at not totally embarrassing itself. If LM1R is a perfect score, this is... a B, maybe a B-? Which is still pretty decent.
If you walked away from LM1R (play it first btw) and thought "That was pretty good. I might want to experience something like that again." this will probably be worth your time.

　文句なしに褒められる良作です。『ガリウスの迷宮ライクのレトロ風ゲーム』という束縛からどうしても逃れきれないが故に不便な面もあった前作と違い、La-Mulana2は縛られるものもなく自由です。前作の不便だったところ・時代に合わなくなってしまった部分は改良され、前作の魅力であった要素はそのままに。結果としてレトロゲームの難しさ・理不尽さを知らない自分のような現生人類でもストレスが殆どないまま遊べる本当に楽しいゲームへと進化した！そう思います。

[h3]前作から現代ナイズされた操作性[/h3]
　これがほんとに素晴らしい！ 1はジャンプの挙動や水中での挙動に難があり、特定のアクションが求められる場面ではアクション成功の達成感よりも成功に至るまでに積み重なったストレスが上回る......そんな思いをした方もいるかもしれません。しかし、今作ではあらゆる操作性＿＿特にジャンプの挙動＿＿が大きく改善され、アクション面で不快感を覚える場面は少なくなったのではないかと思われます。[strike]まぁ改善された操作性の分だけボス戦は難しくなっている気がしますが[/strike]
　ジャンプの挙動も含め、チュートリアル地点である「旅立ちの村」及び「ラ・ムラーナ遺跡」でアクションについてのチュートリアルが世界観に溶け込む形でしれっと実装されており、このゲームを始めて遊ぶユーザーでも無自覚のうちに攻撃、ジャンプの基本動作を習得することができます。ゆくゆくは応用動作が待ち構えていますが、これも前作ほど難しくない印象。大丈夫、きっとできます。

[h3]「自分で探索・発見する謎解き」の楽しさはそのままに[/h3]
　[b]嬉しいですね。[/b] 前作の方のレビューで書かせていただきましたが、自分はLa-Mulanaシリーズの謎解きの真骨頂は「自分で情報を集めた、自分で思考した、自分で実行してみた＿＿その結果がゲーム内演出という分かりやすい形で現れる」ことにあるのではないかと考えています。今作でもその体験は健在です。今作でもスクショを撮り、メモを取り、それでも足りなければ手書きのノートを用意して自分で情報を纏めてみるのはいかがでしょう。本当に調査をしている気分になれて楽しいですよ！
　ちなみに、「謎解きに詰まったら攻略を見ていい」と思う私的な意見も変わっていません。個人的な意見ですが、成功体験による爽快感をそこに至るまでのストレスが上回るくらいなら、そうなる前に救済措置に頼っていいと思っています。このシリーズは製作者の楢村さん自身が「 [b]製作者からの挑戦？真剣勝負？なんだそれわ。みんな一体誰と戦っているんだ。[/b] 」と、口調こそ面倒くさい雰囲気ですが暗に「このゲームに根詰めすぎてノーヒント攻略にこだわらなくていいんだよ(要約)」と仰ってくださっています。謎解きで苦しい方は製作者の意志にありがたく乗っかっておきましょう。

[h3]前作から大幅に強化された演出[/h3]
　どの演出をとってもネタバレになってしまうので言及できないのが歯がゆい。ゲーム内のアクションやアイテムの解説文、読み物といった細部にまであっ！とプレイヤーを驚かせてくる演出を挟んでいるため、気付いたときにはニヤリとしてしまいます。大がかりな仕掛けを解いた暁には壮大な演出が入り、謎を解いた達成感もひとしおです。

[h3]でも、このゲームって1の続編だよね？[/h3]
　[b]できれば前作から遊んでほしい！！！[/b]
　ですが、前作は前述したとおりレトロ風ゲームのリメイクという点でどうしてもレオトロゲーム特有の不便さや理不尽な要素があり、人を選ぶのが現実。無理に前作から履修して結局2をやらずに挫折してしまうよりかは、いっそ遊びやすい今作から始めてしまうのが良いかと思います。
　安心してください。前作からストーリーは地続きですが、ストーリーを作中内で解説してくれる要素がありますし、なにより「前作のストーリーを知っていないと解けない謎解き」はありません。 [strike]コレネタバレだけど許されるよね？[/strike]
　ただ、前作を遊んでいたり実況で履修したプレイヤーにとっては感慨深い演出や小ネタが散りばめられているので、1を知っているユーザーはその点でお得かも。

[h3]爱恨交织的体验，推荐给热爱探索、热衷谜题的硬核玩家[/h3]

lamulana一代有个bossrush模式，不知为何到二代就没有了。
好处是二代相比一代操作手感已经优化了不少，前期的新手指引也更详细了，还加入了官中。另外也有很不错的人物立绘，在一款像素游戏里看到诚意满满的立绘画很让人惊喜。
不过《La-mulana》系列的老配方并没有消失——各方面难度都比较高，初见杀和即死陷阱甚至比一代更多，恶意照旧，哪怕手感优化了一些，但还是比较难受。仍需要有耐心和足够的适应力才能玩下去。谜题设计比一代更胜，特别是加入了“言灵”系统，让解谜难度进一步提高，重要提示散布各地，需要靠玩家自己搜集记录信息，十分考验信息综合分析力，同时大量战斗也很考验操作。

如果你想完整体验系列作品，我推荐先玩一代。因为一代的内容在二代里有很多继承，包括剧情背景、操作还有少量地图，先玩一再来二能更容易理解一些细节。时间线也是一代在前，一代男主是二代女主角的父亲。经历过她爸爸的冒险后，再来用他女儿的视角看到很多曾经熟悉的场景、听到熟悉的音乐旋律，经常让人会心一笑，回忆满满。

这是通关后又一款让我怅然若失的作品，感慨很难再遇到这样令人惊喜惊讶惊奇的探索解谜体验了。哪怕存在大量恶意设计，也是一部很优秀的游戏，因为核心探索感非常让人满足，以“考古”为主题，存在大量恶意陷阱似乎也算正常。

[h3]另附游玩TIP:[/h3]
1.一定要做好记录，石碑信息、NPC对话都十分重要，就算当时看不懂也一定要记下来，无厘头的文字极有可能就是后面破局的关键。颜色标注的文字很重要。本人直到通关，steam就截了200多张图。卡关或不知道接下来干什么的时候，很有可能是探漏了某个地方的信息，特别是NPC对话，可以分地图区域排查来找。
2.不是只有梯子才可以爬，脚手架、石柱有时候也可以。斜楼梯按“↑或↓”可以爬。
3.地上骷髅多的地方往往是陷阱，慎重！

It's a great game but not for everyone. It's difficult I never beat the game after 64 hours, a few play-throughs. Sometimes you won't know where to go or what to do. I still don't. You will need to look stuff up which people won't like but for some reason I don't mind with this game, maybe because it feels so vast that getting stuck just comes with this territory. Something about it's charm and depth outweighs it's flaws.

注意地上的骷髅，可以读一下，骷髅多的地方往往是即死陷阱
看着像背景板的斜楼梯是可以上的
拿到人面像记得在有紫色气体的房间里举一下，然后在有六芒星的门的门口举一下
如果有一个地方的地刺看着不像能掉下去的样子，这个位置顶上一定有陷阱

La mulana 1 remake fue para mí todo un descubrimiento, pues no lo conocía. Le eché muchísimas horas y lo pasé unas cuantas veces.
Cuando salió el 2 me sentí decepcionado al ver que no iba a hacerlo en español, pero esperé paciente hasta que la comunidad ofreció un parche hace relativamente poco. De modo que no podía dejar de pasar la ocasión y pillármelo.
A día de hoy todavía no lo he pasado. Uno se pierde entre sus laberínticos mapas buscando el siguiente objeto que le permita abrir la puerta cerrada y avanzar otro tanto.
No obstante puedo decir que hay algunas cosas que me chirrían un poco, y es que, si bien en el 1 encontrabamos trampas mortales, aquí hay un exceso de ellas. Techos que caen sin aviso, pilares que salen del suelo, caídas indiscriminadas a pinchos...en definitiva, caos absoluto pues a menos que estés con mil ojos resulta imposible ver cuando va a pasar eso, y eso es lo que hace que sea un poco injusto, porque me pregunto qué necesidad había de poner trampas a diestro y siniestro.
Otra cosa que no me agrada es que hasta que consigues el salto doble, te puedes aburrir de recorrer pasillos y pasillos buscando la escalera de subida para que cuando por fín estás al lado de donde quieres ir hay un agujero que te hace caer de nuevo a causa del enemigo X que te golpea en un descuido.
El juego en sí es bastante bueno y si te gustó el 1 este te va a gustar si eres capaz de soportar sus injusticias.
Dicho esto me gustaría añadir que el apartado gráfico es igual al 1, un pixel art que recuerda a los juegos de antaño. En cambio la música es bastante peor que en el 1, en el cual entrabas a un área únicamente para escucharla, destacando la de algunos jefes. En cambio aquí solo acompaña sin más.

i don't understand what people see in this game. everything in it is designed to ♥♥♥♥ with you. healing takes forever, enemies are ♥♥♥♥, bosses have one move and none of the ones i fought were fun to fight, just a huge enemy with a massive heal-bar. and i know the game is a homage to 80's games, that doesn't excuse the ♥♥♥♥ i had to endure for the last 4 hours. even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ soundtrack is annoying and repetitive.
i believe this game was made with lots of love, but all i feel is hate thrown at me from every aspect of it.

TL;DR if you want a good metroidvania go play pseudoregalia. ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

Both a better and a worse La-Mulana.
The gameplay (jumping, fighting, etc...) is a considerable improvement. The jumps are a lot more fluid, it's a lot easier to platform around, but the difficulty does ramp up to match it. The last area of the game is based on a secret, ultra-hard part of the first game, and it is not easy to go through.

The puzzles are mostly great, with a few headscratchers and a couple that are just absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. One thing that really disappointed me is that you can lock yourself out of the hardest puzzle, which has hints everywhere on the entire map.

The game is hard, both gameplay and puzzle-wise. Expect a LOT of frustration and head-banging. The game purposefully disrespects you and your time: you WILL get killed by one-shot traps a lot. There are a lot more than La-Mulana 1, and you won't be happy about it. I did 5 push-ups or other similar exercices everytime I died as a fun challenge, and let's just say my muscles were sore every session.
The last area ramps up the difficulty significantly. You need to be ready for a lot of frustration, a lot of deaths, and a lot of them being unfair. Just let it flow through you, become Zen :)

Still, similar to LM1, it's a completely unique experience. There are no games like this, and it is completely worth playing. Ideal to play with a friend who's beaten it already to give you a few hints when you get stuck. Extremely difficult to completely solve without ANY external assistance, but doable!

Игра просто огонь для любителей боли. Пусички отсеиваются сразу. Касаемо сравнения с первой частью - по мне так игра стала не то чтобы прям сильно проще, но значительно удобнее и приятней, персоонаж стал более мобилен (не сильно, но в первой части это был просто летящий топор), интерфейс такой же, но будто-бы менее всратый, диалоговые окна прям значительно лучше и с портретами персоонажей, загадки все такие же больные, но пройти ла-мулану 2 без гайдов значительно проще чем первую (собсна, без гайдов и проходил), она более поддается логике, правда некоторые из загадок это полный ад (загадка Брахмы это впринципе самая сложная хрень что я видел в играх), некоторые необходимые для прохождения потайные стены (для ла-муланы это норма) тяжело найти даже когда пытаешься прощупать все что есть на карте, а ищешь их на автомате уже с начала игры просто потому что знаешь что они будут даже если их нет, причем находятся они в таких местах, где кроме как по случайности их не найти. Короче - чувство отчаяния из первой части на месте, но гораздо менее выражено. Боссы стали сложнее, но не назвал бы прям супер сложными, проходятся максимум с третьего трая, главное запомнить паттерн, привыкнуть к персоонажу и не забывать за доп оружие, так же как и в первой части на фоне загадок боссы не страшны. Я хз как так происходит, но игра при недостаточных подсказках вынуждает тебя делать такие вещи, о которых ты казалось бы никогда бы не додумался, но ты их на автомате делаешь - и это действительно работает, типа составления некоторых мантр, нелогичных прыжков, использования разных предметов, подбор программ итд, просто поражаешься сам себе как ты до этого додумался. Возможно, сказывается опыт первой части. Проблемы у игры все те же что и у первой части, и все так же главная из них - малая память компьютера на записи в программе заметок, с остальным терпимо. Как метроидвания - что первая часть, что вторая это просто образец того как надо делать правильно (естественно, не считая ломку мозга с многими загадками и малую маневренность персоонажа), ибо чувство прогрессии в ла-мулане даже больше чем в метроидах и во многих РПГ. Проходил на английском два раза (стимовскую и не очень), но игре однозначно нужен русификатор, ибо многие без базового знания английского будут ещё больше страдать, тем более что в игре очень годный лор и сюжет. Русификатор существует, но на деке не ставится, сугубо под Винду, учтите, правда оценить его качество я так толком и не смог. Однозначно рекомендую тем, кто думает что игры ему даются легко

好想法烂制作虽然打通了两遍仍然觉得操作手感像坨屎解密有意思但你在路上死啊死啊的就放弃了你那360的画质就别搞细节贴图了根本看不见好嘛好像更新了后来又增加难度了好多boss机制更恶心了应该是激起了作者报复社会的心里了防止你过关

そのくらいの覚悟で向き合ってようやくって感じです

一見意味のない針があったら、十中八九その上の床は壊れたり開いたりします
ときには芸術的な軌道で針に至ります
全編を通して、針がつきまといます
そして割合ダメージなので、いつまでも変わらないストレスが味わえます

One of my favorite games ever, has a ruin exploration vibe thats very hard to match. The puzzles are very hard, If you don't want to use a walkthrough then you pretty much need to take notes of every hint the game gives you. The exploration is 10/10. It's very niche, but if you're into what it is then you'll be sad that there's nothing else like it

The game disrispected my time, so after a few ours I quicly grew negative feeling against tis game and the people beind it.
The "hints" for some progression linked puzzles are not as clear as they think, it is not even that clear what is a hint or just some random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lore that is not even interesting enough to deserve reading.
This game asks for so much love and attention, while rewarding you with disrespect and even more confusion.
Got my way out of enough toxic relationships to recognize one.
Not for me. Could have been, with a little more efforts from the devs, but hey, they already got my money so why bother doing more than a mediocre niche game only played by those who enjoy running in circle for 6h until they realise "face away from your desires" meant facing a random wall for 5 sec ? they are so many "come back when you have the right object" that it is impossible to realise when you just have to do random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to get an item and just skip it thinking it's like the 10 last puzzle and have to do it later.

TLDR : don't support lazy decs that sell "hard" games. "Hard" is supposed to mean more than confusion, jank gamepay, and poorly designed puzzle (more riddle that needs guesses than really puzzle, no logic is involved in solving those) with no feeling of progression.

La Mulana 2 is not better than La mulana 1. The first half of La Mulana 2 is better than the first game, but the second half is so much worst. The easiest example is [spoiler] that the final dungeon of this game is the optional troll dungeon of the first game [/spoiler]. That part alone is responsible for nearly 20% of people who killed all the guardians and reach the final challenge to then quit the game. It's absurd that such a huge percent of people who made it 35 hours+ into game will all quit all because of one area.

I love the idea of these games, but the devs don't know how to reel back the worst design decisions.

Don't play this game, it feels like a waste of time. If you explore the map you will get very confused about the puzzles, some of the solutions to the puzzles are found in totally different parts of the map and mostly amount to using the right item in a room. There were a few clever puzzles that were fun but most of the time its just stuff that makes you use a guide. Even with a guide to the puzzles its still confusing.

超级上头的银河恶魔城游戏，虽然2代比1代操作难度和通关流程都优化了很多（而且2代还加了中文，lamulana的特产[spoiler]初见杀陷阱[/spoiler]也变得更容易分辨了），但是还是推荐优先入坑1代，因为2代的世界观和大部分基本设计（道具，主要NPC）都是沿袭1代的，玩了1代再玩2代体验会好很多。(而且1代有配套游戏说明书，会大大优化入门体验，2代很多设定都是跟着1代的就没有，初玩很有可能一头雾水)
好想玩lamulana3，但是好像nigoro不打算出续作了呜呜呜。

不适合我的游戏，感受不到其他玩家所说的震撼，也许是我没通关或者没玩上一代的原因，剧情和世界观非常模糊，游戏内几乎没有引导，无地图显示，不知道要去哪里，到处迷路，路上再塞一些解密搞得人一头雾水，作者还喜欢设置一些莫名其妙的陷阱。另外，游戏难度极其夸张，不仅是战斗难度（只有攻击boss头部才能造成伤害），还有解密难度，在我玩过众多的银河恶魔城类游戏中，它毫无疑问是最难的之一，阴间跳跳乐加上极少的反馈让游戏难上加难。没有攻略我可能连第一关都进不去，卡在游戏正式开始的入口，不看攻略仅靠自己通关的玩家那是相当硬核了。

极差的操作手感，极模糊的引导，极迷惑的解谜，极垃圾的BOSS战设计。
玩了前几个小时就知道，这游戏得跟着攻略玩了，要不然不可能玩得下去，然而就算跟着攻略走，还是有几个地方给我恶心的够呛，说实话，那些低级无脑的陷阱机关，连坑向iw都不这么弄了，这游戏里还能遍地都是，除了影响玩家的游戏体验，不知道还有什么意义。
我不否认游戏的一些方面是做的不错的，例如画面和音乐表现，但是整体给人的游玩体验确实是相当无聊且折磨的，我思考了很久，不能给这游戏一个推荐。
