Как будто попал в сон, который обещал быть триллером, а получился какой то странной полудрёмой с намёками на глубокий смысл. Ты вроде как застрял в какой то машине для симуляции воспоминаний, бродишь по трём локациям, разглядываешь предметы и слушаешь невнятные записи - ощущение, будто пришёл на сеанс психоанализа, но терапевт всё время молчит. Графика, кстати, приятная, глаз не режет, но вот сам процесс: ты тыкаешься туда сюда, ищешь, что нажать, а подсказки будто специально спрятали подальше - будто игра подмигивает: «А догадайся сам!». Изюминки вроде бы и наметили - про чужие воспоминания, про то, твои они или нет, - но раскрыть не успели: игра короткая, как перекус на бегу, часа на полтора. В итоге вышел такой пилотный эпизод - интригу подкинули, атмосферу нагнали, а потом хлоп: «Продолжение следует…» - и ты сидишь с чувством, будто тебе показали обложку крутой книги, а саму книгу пока не дали.
И если этот обзор наберёт 50 лайков и 10 наград - куплю все дополнения и сыграю 100 часов. Улучшу значок до 5 уровня и схожу в церковь помолиться за разрабов, чтобы они делали только крутые проекты…

Love it. It isn't scary at all but it gives the vibes of a horror game. It's really short and the achievements can't get any easier than this. The game is easy and interesting. Had my friend @WrappedInDior play the game and she was 💩ng when she saw the wife run in the corridor.
A really good psychological horror game. It had me on edge the entire time. The moment where you see your wife running down the corridor was scary as hell.
The achievements were surprisingly fun to get and really unique and interesting. Like, what do you mean I have to stare at a clock till it turns 19,20 and then click a hole in the wall after exactly 16 seconds? Like how do you come up with an achievement like that. So random but love it and the whole vibe.

What begins as a clever walking simulator (I use this word to describe the game's [i]genre,[/i] not as a term of disparagement) and a mystery to be solved soon (quite literally) ends as a headache. Let me be clear: If a game requires me to perform a completely absurd sequence of actions—[b][i]on a timer[/i][/b]—I ain't playin'. Even this nonsense aside, the game grows incredibly repetitive incredibly fast to the point that one wonders whether the studio was working on a shoestring budget—no wonder this game is now free. I wouldn't recommend it even if someone paid [i]me[/i] money to play it. "A mindf!ck of a game"?? "Game of the year"?! Give me a break.

This is a free game that is done in first-person view. It is described on it's Store Page as being "[i]a psychological thriller[/i]" and "[i]the pilot episode of a mind-bending franchise[/i]". The words "[i]pilot episode[/i]" means that there is no story here. There are a couple of ideas thrown out, but they don't go anywhere because the game is not long enough to tell a story.
How about "[i]psychological thriller[/i]"? Umm, no. Again, there is an attempt to throw something out there, but it just falls flat. But it is "[i]mind-bending[/i]", right? Sorry, but no. The concept for this game sounds great, at least on paper, but the game itself simply fails to deliver. This is the first game by an indie dev, and I hope the second game is much better than this one was.
The graphics are pretty good, but that is about it. You "[i]wake up[/i]" to find yourself trapped inside some sort of experimental machine that was built to simulate memories. You either do not have any memories of your own, or you have many gaps in your memories and are trying to fill in those gaps. But there is no guarantee the memories coming from this machine are even yours.
There are 3 memories here, of at least 3 locations of where memories happened, experienced in a room that is like a holodeck. All you do is interact with a few items, like zooming in for close-ups and listening to some recordings. The game is very linear. You have to do things in a certain order, or you cannot progress, but there are no clues as to what you need to do.
The controls are simple. The keyboard only has walk, interact with stuff, and end simulation. The mouse only has move camera, and zoom in. The game is short, and meant to be completed in one session, so there are no manual saves. It should only take you 1 to 2 hours to earn all of the achievements, and even though the game is free the achievements do count on your Profile.
Once you get all of the achievements, there is no replayability. Also, there are no trading cards. The game itself ran perfectly fine. However, one of the achievements glitched out, causing me to have to play the game twice. The actor voicing the computer A.I. did not impress me either. He sounded less like a computer and more like somebody just lazily reading from a script.
Asemblance is a single-player psychological thriller with great voice acting, good graphics and mediocre gameplay. The game is nice but it kinda hurts my eyes sometimes.

Medias res stehen wir einem Notfall gegenüber und so werden wir von einer fürsorglichen KI gefragt, wie wir uns fühlen. Anschließend wenden wir uns wieder, angeleitet von dieser KI, VR-Szenen zu, die unsere eigenen Erinnerungen wiedergeben.
Aber warum machen wir das überhaupt? Gute Frage. Ist es eine Art Psychotherapie? Warum dann aber der Alarm? Es ist nicht so, wie es scheint. Die Erinnerungen sind pivotal (ja genau, was heißt das?), sie sind Jung (also der Freudsche C.G. Jung) oder sind wir in einer ... nein, ich verrate nicht mehr. Alles kann oder muss nicht wichtig sein, um zu entschlüsseln, was los ist und was wir hier machen.
Wer jetzt ausgestiegen ist, wird nicht erfahren, dass ich ähnlich verwirrt war, jedenfalls zunehmend im Verlauf dieses Spieles. Während ich so einiges zu verstehen glaubte und ganz stolz darauf war, erschien mir recht oft ein großes Fragezeichen vor meinem inneren dritten Auge.
Vermutlich habe ich zu wenig die auf der Shopseite erwähnten Twilight Zone und Akte X gesehen. Ich würde sogar Inception erwähnen, positiv wie negativ. Wer bei Inception begeistert die vielfältigen Windungen entschlüsselt und mitgemacht hat, könnte hier auch daran Freude haben.
Übrigens ist da Spiel nicht zu Ende, wenn es zu Ende zu sein scheint. Da geht es erst so richtig los. Und die Windungen der Erinnerung und Täuschung werden mehr und mehr. Ob das alles noch widerspruchsfrei war oder wie mir schien schon früh eher frei mit der Logik umspringend, ich weiß es nicht.

Das Gameplay besteht wohl im wesentlichen darin, mit der Umgebung zu intergagieren, so dass man vorwärts kommt in der Geschichte. Es hat ein bißchen was von täglich grüßt das Murmeltier oder anderen Zeitschleifenerlebnissen, nur dass es diesmal eben um Erinnerungen geht.
An sich also einfach. Wenn man etwas falsch macht bleibt man eben stecken in der Schleife oder kann nochmal von vorne beignnen, wenn man eines der Enden erreicht hat.
Aber die Hinweise oder Überlegungen, die man anstellen muss, um sinnig weiterzukommen werden immer komplexer und zugleich vager. Entweder hat man dann entsprechende Erfolgserlebnisse oder aber den Frust, dass man sie nicht bekommt.

Technisch ok. Nur - wie bei manchen Spielen - glaubt es, meine VR-Brille aktivieren zu müssen, obwohl es kein VR-Titel ist. Ob es damit zusammenhängt, aber manchmal verschwand auch der Ton und ich musste neu starten, um ihn wiederzubekommen.
Grafik ist klasse, Sound und Stimmen (auf Englisch, ohne Untertitel) ebenso. Die Steuerung mit Controller war prima, mit Tastatur und Maus sollte es ebenso gehen.

Ich habe etwa eine Stunde gespielt. Den Rest habe ich mir von einem Guide erklären lassen.

this game, while is has a very good concept, isnt executed very well to be enjoyable or figure out whats going on. the puzzles get so specific and very picky time based later on, plus its not very foward in WHY you wanted ur memories gone in the first place, i had to look it up. ur not missing anything by not playing this game, its overall incredibly disappointing

Je comprends que le jeu est très dépendant de textes qu'on peut lire dans le jeu et que l'on peut entendre, donc en anglais, ce qui ne m'a pas permis de bien tout comprendre. J'aurai préféré largement une expérience en français, surtout qu'il n'y a pas de sous titrage...
Les graphismes sont jolis, les musiques relaxantes.
Le timing de certaines actions est vraiment trop courte, inutilement. Surtout pour faire le "white". Je n'ai pas eu la patience.

Horoskop psychologiczny jest doskonały, to prawdziwa forma sztuki i delikatne rzemiosło; Asemblance nie ma nic wspólnego z horrorem psychologicznym, ale raczej powinno się go klasyfikować jako science fiction. Nie wchodźcie w tę grę, spodziewając się strachu czy choćby dreszczyku emocji; to w najlepszym razie bardzo krótki symulator chodzenia, w najgorszym strata pół godziny, a mówiąc wprost… po prostu nudna. Jak wspomniano wcześniej, fabuła jest fatalna, lokacji jest za mało, otoczenie jest nijakie, a zakończenia nie są warte wysiłku, jakiego wymaga ich odblokowanie. Jedynym atutem tej gry jest jej dobra optymalizacja. Nawet w cenie promocyjnej 4,39 CAD, Asemblance nie jest w żadnym wypadku godne polecenia – lepiej spędzić czas gdzie indziej.
Ocena: 2,0/5,0 – Nie jest źle, ale też nie jest rewelacyjnie.
Asemblance to intrygujące, darmowe doświadczenie, które potrafi wciągnąć swoją tajemniczością i surową estetyką. Jest to psychologiczny thriller pierwszoosobowy, który przenosi nas - graczy - do tajemniczej maszyny odtwarzającej wspomnienia. Wątpliwości o to, co jest prawdą, a co symulacją tylko rosną. Może nie każdemu przypadnie do gustu, ale jeśli jesteś fanem narracyjnych łamigłówek i klimatu z pogranicza sci-fi i psychologii - warto zagrać.

Esta é a maior emoção que já tive em um jogo. Definitivamente minha experiência favorita sentindo isso. A atmosfera é perfeita, embora os "quebra-cabeças" sejam muito tentativa e erro.
Há um final secreto que não é para uma conquista que você precisará procurar um guia, mas é a melhor e mais emocional reviravolta que já experimentei na mídia. 10/10 nunca reembolsaria. O jogo levou 1 hora e 100% leva 2 horas.

An interesting game about a person trying to dig through their memories... it has some interesting moments, but doesn't stick with you long....
This is the most emotion I have ever gotten from a game. Definitely my favourite experience feeling this. The atmosphere is perfect although the "puzzles" are so much trial and error.
There is a secret ending that isn't for an achievement that you will need to look up a guide for, but it is the best and most emotional twist I have ever experienced in media. 10/10 wouldn't refund ever. Game took 1 hour and 100% takes 2 hours.
I rate Asemblance 2.5/5. Almost mediocre. This extremely short, first-person psychological thriller/mystery game is only a semblance of a mediocre game.
Paying homage to great or impressive things does not automatically make one great and though this game is genuinely creepy in places, Asemblance ultimately feels a bit pretentious and vaguely unfinished. It feels like someone might have set out to make a longer, deeper game but then failed to do so and instead messed with the game’s ending to artificially increase playtime so they wouldn’t be embarrassed by trying to sell what is actually a 2 hour game for 8 USD.
+ No bugs. The game ran fine.
+ Pretty good graphics though Asemblance’s environments aren’t intrinsically that amazing, as they entirely consist of an industrial area, a small wooded area, an office, an apartment and a basic space scene.
+ Good sound.
+ Good voice acting.
+ Appropriately creepy and fitting music but I wouldn’t want to listen to it by itself. The tracks are all quite short.
+ It’s only 8 USD. Asemblance might still be worth it if you get it during a sale for 50% off or more.
+ Really, really creepy in places. This game is best played late at night. The increasingly tedious ending puzzles cause the creepiness to totally dissipate though.
+/- References/pays homage to cool stuff (like Solaris and 2001: A Space Odyssey and this game vaguely reminded me of The Stanley Parable (except Asemblance takes itself extremely seriously) but it doesn’t really do anything meaningful or deep with the stuff it references. It simply exists in the game as a reference. It doesn’t comment on them or critique them do anything which makes you view them from any kind of very different perspective. The attempts at homage go nowhere. If the game had been longer and had more content maybe it wouldn’t have seemed like such a collection of nearly dead-end references to other, better works of art.
+/- True, this game has multiple endings but most of them are either false-endings (which encourage you to start from the most recent checkpoint and try again) or are nonsensical. The “true” ending is difficult to achieve even with the help of Youtube walkthroughs and, if you are bothering to watch such a walkthrough, why bother going through the tedious trouble of actually completing the game yourself once the mystery has been spoiled? [spoiler]None of the endings are very interesting or satisfying anyhow, not even the super-secret, walk through the back of the door, post white-shift ending. [/spoiler] I’m happy Asemblance has multiple endings at least but there are much better ways to integrate multiple endings into a game. The way these endings are handled don’t cause them to greatly increase the replay value of the overall game.
- Asemblance tries hard to pretend to be non-linear but beyond the ability to go back and see rooms you’ve already seen, the game design itself is still quite linear. Saying this game is non-linear would be like saying any game is non-linear because of the ability to physically move from one room to another and back again (perhaps life in my house is non-linear because I can go to my kitchen and back!).
The plot of Asemblance is actually extremely linear. You do each action the game allows you to do (solving obtuse puzzles which involve zooming in on different objects) to get a pre-ordained result (a new puzzle area) and you do this repeatedly until you arrive at the late point in the game (which will come sooner than you think) when it becomes possible to get any of the different endings. Each ending is gotten by solving a few extra puzzle-steps beyond getting any other, easier-to-get ending. It’s not quite as straight-forward as choosing door number 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5, but it’s very close to that. The “doors” in Asemblance are a bit more confusing to walk through. It’s like a book with multiple (increasingly tedious) epilogues, one after another and you can, of course, stop reading anytime.
- No subtitles.
- No way to rebind keys.
- No detailed graphics options.
- Nearly no options of any kind.
- If you don’t bother to get the final 2 tedious endings (but instead watch them both on youtube like I did), this game really only lasts about 2 hours. Asemblance might have been pretty good had it been longer, with more content and had been psychologically/intellectually deeper. [spoiler]There’s a vague plot here about loss and grief but there’s nothing that even hints that there will ever be a way out of that sense of loss and grief. Maybe the game endings were supposed to represent that but they fail to do so. [/spoiler]
This really should have been a demo instead of a full game. The game only consists of a couple of small set pieces and can be completed in less than an hour. There really isn't much of a story just some cryptic dialogue and lore left among the tiny environment. I really wish steam would vet their releases a bit to avoid these type of titles being shown in my discovery section.
It's a minor recommendation at the moment for walking sim/first person puzzler fans. The visuals, music, and voice acting are all great. The puzzles are alright. This may or may not be more worth a purchase if you plan to play the follow up Asemblance game. Probably best to wait for a sale regardless, as the game isn't very long.

Chodzisz i odkrywasz wspomnienia, które nie mają żadnego znaczenia, bo nic z nich konkretnego nie wynika. Miał być psychologiczny thriller - na Steam oznaczone jako horror psychologiczny, a wyszedł symulator chodzenia ze światełkami i stoperem w ręku, który nie ma za bardzo celu. Gra jest estetyczna, ma klimat, ale po wszystkich zakończeniach dalej nie wiadomo o co chodzi.
Zalecałabym nie kupować i nie tracić na nią czasu niezależnie od promocji.

I bought this game on a sale based on its interesting premise. However, it feels like a graphics-focused tech preview for a game that should have been larger in scope, in terms of environments you can go to as well as gameplay. In the first 20 minutes or so you still have a sense of mystery, wanting to figure out what is going on, but after that things get incoherent and the only way to progress is by randomly visiting the same few environments over and over again until you stumble upon the right order of actions, zooming in on things until things change without a logical explanation. At this point I decided to leave it at that and finish it by looking up a guide. I'm glad I've done that, as it is pretty much required if you want to find out what you need to do to truly end the game.
In general, I don't have much to complain about for this game. However, I don't have much to rave about either. As I try to choose to recommend or not, I find that I wish there was a middle choice. The game had nice graphics and the environments were fun to explore. I really appreciated the details the game creators put into the office and other environments. You can zoom in on objects and a lot of the paperwork in the office show narrative of what the protagonist was working on or another example is that the book spines in his home reflect what our character would read. These small details make the world feel real and really set the tone. However, the lack of locations and very what felt like to me random triggers to progress kinda slowed the game down. At times I was just randomly spamming the e button on everything to try to get something to trigger. Those type of moments in a game really slow the story down and take the gamer out of the experience. Another criticism is that there is a sequence when you are going through many portals in a row which physically triggered me. I have never gotten motion sick from a game before, but this new experience will remind me of this game. Overall, I would say it's.... fun/alright, but I don't think many gamers will find that they can look back and describe the story in a years time. A bit forgettable. Which is a shame because I think there are some very nice bits. Now, I hate to leave a game criticisms without suggestions to make it better. One, before the game starts add a screen about basic controls. Make the gamer feel empowered to interact with the environment. Two, maybe add a tab functions with a list of important memories/clues. Three, add one more environment to the story maybe one really involving the kid to help build more emotional gravity to the story line. Cheers!

Short and sweet game. It has atmosphere streaming from it's balls. Well worth your time and money. Can't wait for Asemblance 2.
Let me start by saying I usually love games most people would call "pretentious" and "arty". I don't really need games to make sense or have a cohesive narrative or anything if they have something to say. I believe I am probably the target audience of a game like this... But this was a waste of money.
Not only is the story uninteresting, poorly delivered and just bland, the logical leaps required to unlock all the bits and pieces of it are just stupid. The game is described (by the developer on the Steam page) as "inspired by The Twilight
Zone, The X-Files, and the Black Mirror television series." and I cannot help but think that they have absolutely no understanding of what makes those sorts of shows interesting.
That all aside, the developer also hasn't disabled the default VR plugins for Unreal Engine 4, meaning that it constantly tries to run through VR despite not actually supporting it, and if you close SteamVR it closes the game. The only way to get it to work is to disconnect your VR headset and let SteamVR run with an error while you play the game.
Honestly, your money could go to far, far better games than this one.

Arkadaş nasıl olmuşsa ben bir ara yürüme simülasyonu oyunu aşermişim ve o arada da piyasada ne kadar yürüme simülasyonu varsa hepsini almışım galiba. Aga insan bir bakar yaw. Şu an resmen kendime küfür edesim var. Tek tesellim de oyunu 3-5 liraya almış olmam ve oyunun 30 dakika sürmesi. Yoksa bu saçmalığa 1 dakika fazla dayanılamaz.
Bir de buradan Unreal Engine oyun motorunun sahibi Epic Games'e sesleniyorum. Bu motoru kullanan herkes mümkünse yürüme simülasyonu yapmasın arkadaş. Bütün yürüme simülasyonları neredeyse bu oyun motoru ile yapılıyor. Karanlık atmosferlerden ve gereksiz parlak ve de kaygan gibi duran soluk grafiklerden gına geldi artık. Son sözüm UZAK DURUN.

Asemblance ist ein interessantes Spieleexperiment rund um ein Forschungsprojekt. Unser Protagonist befindet sich in einer Maschine, in der wir seine Erinnerungen erneut durchleben können. Doch wer wir sind oder was uns hier hergebracht hat - das müssen wir uns schon selbst erschließen. Einfacher gesagt als getan, denn in seiner Erzählung bleibt das Adventure zumindest auf den ersten Blick kryptisch und sehr vage.
Dementsprechend genau sollten wir uns in den kompakten Erinnerungsabschnitten umsehen, um unsere Vergangenheit und momentane Situation zu rekonstruieren. Jede nähere Erläuterung würde wohl in einen Spoiler ausarten; deshalb nur so viel: Asemblance erwartet vom Spieler eine sehr hohe Interpretationsbereitschaft, um aus den teils frustrierend nebulösen Storyhäppchen irgendwie schlau zu werden.
Wer die nicht aufbringen möchte, erlebt zwar immer noch eine gut inszenierte Odyssee durch das Erinnerungsvermögen des Hauptcharakters - doch wirklich befriedigend fühlt sich das vermutlich nicht an. Wer sich dagegen darauf einlässt und vielleicht auch gerne in Foren durch die Herleitungen anderer Spieler stöbert, könnte der Story von Asemblance durchaus etwas abgewinnen.

Wirklich ausgereizt hat das Spiel sein narratives Potenzial zwar nicht, doch im Rahmen seiner begrenzten Möglichkeiten ist das Ergebnis dieses Vorstoßes in Erzählweisen abseits ausgetretener Pfade dennoch respektabel.
Es empfiehlt sich, möglichst viele der aufeinander aufbauenden Enden zu erreichen, wenn man das Spiel so erleuchtet wie möglich verlassen möchte. Das Spieldesign ist darauf auch ausgelegt.
[b]Wie war das nochmal?[/b]
In puncto Spielmechaniken traut sich Entwickler NiLo Studios ebenfalls etwas. Die Rätsel sind an sich recht simpel. Sie finden in kleinen aber detailliert gestalteten und mit sehr stimmiger Musik unterlegten Erinnerungssequenzen statt. Für das Erreichen der Lösung sollten wir gut zuhören und manchmal auch einfach ein wenig rumprobieren.
Das Spiel setzt uns dabei immer wieder bereits bekannte Areale vor, ohne dass sich das repetitiv anfühlt. In diesen Sequenzen ändern sich bei jedem Besuch Details. Das liegt an unserem Protagonisten, der sich immer etwas anders an die Geschehnisse erinnert. Selbst das digitalisierte Gedächtnis in der Maschine unterliegt immer noch der verschwommenen Natur von Erinnerungen.

Interessant fand ich dazu die Ausführung des Sozialpsychologen Harald Welzer. Der beschreibt im Text "Was ist autobiographische Wahrheit?" (Reclam 2016) das Gedächtnis als System, "das Realität nicht einfach abbildet, sondern auf unterschiedlichsten Wegen und nach unterschiedlichsten Funktionen interpretiert“. Sich zu erinnern bedeute nach und nach Muster zu aktivieren.
Dieser Prozess der Muster-Vervollständigung unterlege so vielen internen und externen Einflüssen, "dass von einer authentischen Erinnerung an die Situation [...] nur im seltenen Grenzfall auszugehen ist".
Ob der Spieler es letzlich zu leisten vermag, die Biografie des Protagonisten aufzuschlüsseln oder nicht - der vielleicht sogar interessantere Takeaway könnte die Umsetzung der grundsätzlichen Erinnerungsthematik sein. Die von Welzer beschriebenen Prinzipien werden hier meiner Ansicht nach passend in ein Spiel übertragen.
In der Essenz ist Asemblance für mich ein Kommentar zum Wesen von Erinnerungen, die oft nicht so verlässlich und genau sind, wie sie im ersten Moment wirken. Und der Gefahr, sich auf der Suche nach Wahrheiten darin zu verlieren.

A slick, atmospheric, puzzler that doesn't hold your hand.

[b]Asemblance[/b], sorti en 2016, est un FPS Horreur Psycho/Réflexion (vite fait) où l'on incarne une personne, à priori de sexe masculin, bloqué dans une machine qui lui fait revivre des moments, disons... désagréables de ce qu'on pense être son passé.
Vous aussi vous l'avez nôté ? Beaucoup de supputation, n'est-ce pas ? Et bien oui, les détails et explications sont plutôt rares dans le jeu, si ce n'est inexistant. Dans un sens, ce n'est pas plus mal, ça fait réfléchir, et ça permet de débattre, ce qui peut être intéressant. Mais j'ai toujours l'idée en tête que parfois, c'est plus un manque d'inspiration/budget qui impose cette façon de faire, mais passons.
Le jeu, dont la marche est très lente, est simple à prendre en main, on peut avancer et intéragir avec certains objets. Cependant, il faudra réfléchir un peu plus pour pouvoir avancer dans le jeu, et pour ça... Comprendre l'anglais. Si vous ne le comprenez pas du tout, attendez une traduction, sinon, vous n'allez rien comprendre et/ou apprécier.
Bref, il y a des énigmes dans le jeu, qui se font assez bien, et nous permettent d'avancer dans l'histoire.
Il y a des fins secrètes, dont une particulièrement ch*ante à trouver, qui permettent de débloquer des dialogues, et d'en apprendre plus sur l'histoire, tout en restant le plus obscurs possible.
Graphiquement, le jeu est très beau, tournant sur Unreal Engine. Les décors sont très réalistes, et renforçent l'immersion.
L'ambiance du jeu est particulièrement réussie. La bande-son est de très bonne qualité, et les effets sonores et visuels s'emboitent parfaitement pour faire une jeu "d'horreur" psychologique réussi. Je met "horreur" entre guillemets car vous n'allez pas sursauter ou crier à la mort tellement vous avez peur, mais franchement, certains passages font froids dans le dos.
Par contre, très peu d'options graphiques (heureusement, c'est bien optimisé), impossible de réassigner les touches (*clap clap*) et si vous touchez au menu vidéo pendant le jeu, ça va boguer sévère. Bref, y'a quelques ratés techniques quand même.

Schöne Grafik, nette Musik, interessantes Setting - ich hatte mir mehr erhofft. In die White Shift zu kommen ist ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit, da dieses Event extrem zeitsensibel ist. Habe es nun 8-mal probiert und ehrlich gesagt keine Lust mehr.

This is a weird game. I followed a walkthrough and it took me two tries to get all the achievments. It's not linear, a bit inspired by eternal sunshine of the spotless mind I think. There's a secret ending apparently but I couldn't get it to play. No clear way of knowing you've finished the game?
This was a game I happily leaned heavily on written and video walkthroughs to, uh, gethrough. Trippy and weird but memorable, and according to Steam I didn't even put two hours in to it (it's a short game).
Nice little puzzles but I personally didn't like the fact, that sometimes you just have to run around (from room to room) just to get the story forward. The story was pretty cool though. I liked the scenery as well. It was very well designed with a lot of details.

I enjoyed the game, the story seemed rather interesting, reading some of the notes, looking around, it was a positive experience.
I actually liked the length of the game, i always prefer a short but sweet title to a dragged out one and this is exactly that, but the best part of the game is either figuring out how to get all the different endings, or watching how other people figured it out. It looks so far fetched, at least i was amazed at how these people could figure out such details.
Of course it is not without faults, more story could be part of the main plot; for the price tag, I would not say that the game is worth it, but luckily it's on sale often.
I wrote only one review on Steam so far.
But this game deserves one.
Yes, it's that good. Don't overthink it, just give it a go.

Die Grafik und Musik ist wunderschön, an einigen stellen kommt man echt an seine Grenzen aber mit logischem Denken und viel Gedult ist es trotzdem machbar, auch wenn das Spiel an einigen Stellen manchmal etwas verwirrend sein kann ist auf jeden fall sein Geld wert.

Главный принцип игры - исследование небольших отрезков памятных моментов. Поиск в этих моментах зацепок, которые привели бы к решению того, что произошло. Чтобы исследовать, необходимо внимательно слушать искусственный интеллект, слушать записи и исследовать окружение.
Мне, как русскоязычному игроку, оказалось сложно решать головоломки, из-за чего пришлось обратиться к готовым решениям, так как не всегда просто разобрать, о чем идет разговор, а никаких субтитров нет.
В игре присутствует три концовки, каждая из которых проходится при разном совмещении решения головоломок. Когда находите одну концовку, то игру можно продолжить с этого момента в поиске следующей. Окончательно пройденной игра считается, когда собраны все достижения.
Визуально и аудиально игра сделана очень качественно. Здесь претензий нет никаких. Наверняка, получилась бы хорошая VR-версия.

The main principle of the game is the studing of small segments of memory. Searching in these moments for the clues that would lead to a solution of what happened. To explore, you need to listen carefully to AI, listen to records and look through the environment.
I, as a Russian-speaking player, found it difficult to solve puzzles, because of what I had to turn to walkthrough, because it's not always easy to understand what the conversation is about, and there are no subtitles.
There are three endings in the game, each of which is played by a different combination of solving puzzles. When you find one ending, the game can be continued from this point on in the search for the next one. The final of the game is considered when all the achievements are collected.
Visually and audibly the game is done very qualitatively. There are no complaints here. For sure, it would be a good VR-version.

This game was pretty deep and actually opened my mind to new things to think about. It was a pretty solid experience to say the least. Good story, good atmosphere. Just all around a pretty good game. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something captivating for a few hours.
Asemblance is an interesting little walking simulator with a great proof concept, albeit at a very short length and being nothing more than a proof of concept. Could have been a lot more, but is good nonetheless. Not worth the asking price, but definitely worth a look at a discount.

The concept is set like this. You're in a chamber that asks you a simple question, you answer and go forward. Do you find peace, or do you find concern, or interest to know more. What happen? How did it all happen?

Pretty good voice acting by the A.I and other supporting roles.

It's a walking sim that makes you think. The game doesn't hold your hand too much, but enough to lead you to the right direction, but you gotta put some thought into it. Recommended!

Asemblance is a strange and perplexing game, and that is why I like it. The initial playthrough may be short, but as you delve into the mysteries and extra endings, it gets more complex. Also, it looks great. No subtitles, though.
Schönes Spiel mit interessanter Story, die einem weder Denken noch Spekulieren abnimmt. Spielt man es ohne Guide, hat man mehrere Stunden Spielspaß (auch ohne das letzte Achievement). Daher ist der Preis absolut angemessen.
Don't buy, crashes continuously, the developer is aware of the issues and presumably considering the last the spoke of it was 19 months ago they must almost have a fix ready.

Interesting gameplay, exciting story with a fascinating scientific background and nice twists and a short but intense gaming experience but I was disappointed of the endings. Access a handful of minute memories and observe key elements to unlock further flashbacks. Pay attention to intended screen tearing that indicates something has been acquired, usually infinitesimal alterations in one of the other scenes.
It's an intriguing proof of concept that is both exceedingly short and obsessively repetitive. Its micro loops end abruptly back to the main menu, with a new basic screen hue as ultimate reward, and some confused and insubstantial narrative blurbs.
The final ending will require a walkthrough, a stopwatch, completely arbitrary logic and a disappointingly useless resolution composed of meaningless chatter over a black screen.
Many of my negative reviews are somewhat nuanced but this is a clear [b]no[/b]. If you are still somewhat curious you can watch complete playthroughs of all endings in under half an hour without wasting a dime.

Ein Spiel das einen fesseln kann und manchmal zum verzeifeln bringt wenn man nicht ahnt wie es weitergehen kann.

Hatte mir irgendwie mehr davon versprochen. Ich stehe hier noch ratloser davor als bei [b]The Beginners Guide[/b].
Die Grafik ist ja nett und die Mechanik macht neugierig auf die Auflösung des Ganzen. Aber die Auflösung ist enttäuschend.
Wenn man an bestimmten Stellen bestimmte Gegenstände fixiert schaltet man weitere Erinnerungsteile frei. So weit so gut. Ich weiß aber nach dem durchspielen nicht so recht was das jetzt nun sollte. Ich hatte mir da mehr von versprochen. Die "Enden" sind jedenfalls ein Scherz und nicht der Rede wert. Alleine das "geheime" alternative "weiße"Ende (es gibt zwei davon) bietet eine Auflösung.
Kann ich jedenfalls nicht jedem empfehlen.

Tipp 1: Für das weiße Ende müssen vorher die anderen Enden freigeschaltet sein sonst funktioniert das miit dem Bild nicht!
Tipp 2: Das Timing für die Schublade ist nicht soo wichtig wie in manchen Guides steht. Einfach zügig bei umschalten auf 9:19 die Schublade öffnen
Tipp 3: Fixiert das Loch genau 16 Sekunden nach Umschalten auf 9:20. [b]Die Musik macht an der Stelle eine kurze Pause[/b], dann sofort auf das Loch zomen.

Nonsensical. The final ending is both unsatisfying and REQUIRES a walkthough. Like you need a dedicated team to figure out how to finish this game. I liked the way the story and mechanics played out. But without a solid conclusion it's not worth it.

I am so glad i bought this on a chrono sale and not full price, for $2,50 i atleast had a nice atmosphere to explore in.
Finding the puzzles a bit confusing i looked up a lets play to guide me along, and i am so happy i did because the game really does not pay out.
So here is the experience you can expect from the game.
You start it up and are sitting in front of a load time for the opening menu, this seems a bit odd but actually eliminates the loading for the rest of the game. Its an entirely seemingless experience with mixed quality graphics. It looks nice on the unreal engine lightning but the textures rendered super low quality. But back to the experience, it started for me trying to adjust the game to my laptop monitor as i was doing it trough in home streaming. The resolution was missing, 720P it is then and even on that it had muddy textures while being on the highest graphic settings. Those two settings i mentioned along with mouse invert is the only thing you will find in the menu, which btw broke the game every single time i used it!!! 3 minutes later i finally had the game configured to my liking and started playing.
The experience was good at this point, an interesting atmosphere and you slowly unlock new rooms with enviromental puzzles. As you progress you eventually see a very creepy wife combined with the appropriate flashes. You continue the path of insanity and start confronting her in the dark. The game stops you here throwing you back, you find a way to overthrow the AI blocking you from accessing that room and progress.
This is it, the moment i was waiting for as a fan of horror games. I finally get to confront the disturbing wife, i walk straight up to her and she starts teleporting along the path. I chase her along the creepy corridor ready for the real horror experience to begin. The game stops you there and throws you in front of a non creepy clock. This is at the peak of the game, it played its tricks. It had its scariest part done and you can get the first ending if you choose it within 6 seconds. I advice you take it, the game will end and you can quit it without having any idea of the backstory going back to your multiplayer mayhem. If you do decide to continue you will be conforted with multiple endings, increasingly obscure puzzles that you at some point just won't figure out without googling them to eventually reach the ultimate real ending.
The real ending where you escape this world and wake up, in an entirely black cutscene wich has audio only with people trying to break in the door of the machine you where stuck in. You had only explored 4 rooms, you had done the same thing over and over again just to wake up into nothing with people trying to break in. After that the credits roll.
The backstory i won't go into since it can be interesting and if you still want to buy the game after reading all this you might get some enjoyment out of it since you are obviously story minded. But this game was definately not for me, and its definately not for people who enjoy a horror game. It had a creepy moment, and it completely blew it.
This is an extremely quick game. There's not many puzzles to be had, but what's here is very creative. Normally, I'd downvote based on the amount of content, but the content here is different than anything I've played before. I totally dig it, and I totally recommend it. However, be aware that the game is super short and is probably not worth the $10. I literally finished it in under an hour.
Beat this game 3 times in a row. Its very short but the story is well done. Mutiple endings are always cool to figure out how to get and was a nice way to do it. A little short for full price though, wait for it to be on sale then def give it a try.
What Primer was for films, this is for video games. That may be a good or a bad thing.
Because I was not very sure whether I have reached the end, I watched the Youtube Video and found out the white shift ending, and I am sure I can not reach the white shift ending after watching the explanation.
Honestly speaking, I think my largest comment would be confused, not understanding the whole story, even after watching the white shift ending.
The environment set up and the atmosphere is great, and I want to get attached to the character. However, I can barely know that the main character is a workaholic, and there are no other plots or scenes set up to tell us the characteristic of the character. The same goes to his wife and son, I feel no pity of the death of his son because I feel nothing of the character.
Regarding Psychological Horror, I think what your design goal is trying to create the feeling of the Black Mirror. However, what I have got is not awe or surprise or horrifying. I think the main difference is, in the end, I don't feel helpless or inescapable. I feel confused about the story.
I think there are a lot of potential of this game, and there are several scenes I like a lot. The scene when I go crosses the door one after another accelerating and the scene when I see my wife sitting in the wild field. The environment set up and the sounds make my emotion oscillate, and I know I am feeling something. I am going to be excited to see your studio's next work.
Great game! I don't understand the negative reviews at all. The game is really interresting with deep meaning. I (think) I had almost played one cycle of many. I'm curious what happen next time. If you like the stanley parable, then you should try this :)
I was really hyped for this game before the release.. But to be honest, I don't even know if I finished the game or not... I'm excited to see mere from Nilo Studios though.

The game starts off very interesting, and if by the time you read this it is cheaper than $5 then give it a go. However, if you are someone who likes to FINISH a game completely, get far away from this one. I don't think I am giving anything away here, *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* but the game has multiple endings. The final one is nigh impossible by mortal man. Even with guides, videos, and far better gamers than I at my disposal I was unable to see a final ending on my machine. ♥♥♥♥ game designers who think it's ok to make a game fun and interesting right up until the end when they decide to make finishing it near impossible.

С одной стороны, перед нами глубоко продуманный мир, о котором разработчики в своих фантазиях знают явно больше, чем рядовой игрок - и это здорово. С другой стороны -- игрок уходит, так и не сумев оценить всей этой глубины.
Вполне возможно, у создателей не хватило ресурсов для воссоздания того, что они хотели рассказать, и они решили дать игрокам лишь небольшую зарисовку, чтобы те, в свою очередь, всё додумали сами. Но это такое себе оправдание даже не смотря на потенциал.
Впрочем, это положительный взгляд на вещи, и мне хотелось бы верить, что дела именно так и обстоят, и что, возможно, в будущем Asemblance обретет форму и превратится в законченное произведение (создатели утверждают, что это лишь пилотный эпизод большого проекта).
Но если подходить к вопросу критически: кажется, разрабы просто забили на историю, которую им надо было придумать. Разрываясь между двумя сюжетными линиями: личной жизнью главного героя и трансгуманизмом, игра не смогла рассказать ни одной истории целиком. При этом, в игре имеется множество деталей, но они либо довольно поверхностны (в основном что касается личной жизни), либо чересчур загадочны и не понятны (что наводит на мысли, а не пытаются ли авторы просто нагнать ложной таинственности, за которой на самом деле ничего нет?).
В том виде, в котором игра существует сейчас трудно её рекомендовать, ибо она.. не оправдывает ожиданий, и, в конце концов, игрок остаётся с чувством разочарования и ощущением зря потраченного времени. При том, что при прохождении игра увлекает и всячески делает вид, что за углом ждёт ТАКОЕ... При том, что она геймплейно отдаёт духом "Stanley Parable" и "Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist".
В какой-то момент, если вы жадный до истины, прохождение превратится в погоню за ачивками, открыв которые, кажется, будто ты эту истину познаешь. Но с каждым новым достижением, ты понимаешь, что ничего нового ты не узнаешь. И уже сама игра удивляется, если ты продолжаешь играть в неё больше часа - вопрошая, что же можно делать здесь так долго?
И вот парадокс - Asemblance спокойно может увлечь часа на три (при том, что её можно пройти за 15-20 минут), но при этом так ничего не дать. Это как искать выход из лабиринта, в котором выхода просто нет, впрочем, быть может именно на это и намекает само название игры?
p.s. игра своих денег не стоит. По-хорошему, так как это пилотный проект, следовало бы раздавать её бесплатно, параллельно запустив краудфандинг на полноценный проект. Но при сложившихся обстоятельствах, можно и купить во время распродажи, заблаговременно подготовив себя к тому, что это пока только набросок.
While fairly pretty and a little mind wibbly wobbly, the gameplay is trivial and the puzzles are mostly trivial, repetitive, or theone of about 10 which is nonsensical. No matter the discount just skip and read a good book instead.
From publisher/developer Nilo Studios comes their mid-2016 effort, Asemblance; a psychological horror/thriller adventure title that has been released for both PC and PS4. According to the store page, this release is the "pilot episode of a mind-bending franchise", so it looks like these will be episodic releases. Little is known about this indie developer, but this does seem to be their first venture into game creation. With that being said, Asemblance is a decent effort, but it lacks severely in almost every aspect imaginable.
According to the store page, you are in an experimental machine designed to simulate memories, and with no recollection as to why you entered in the first place, you are attempting to escape. At the very beginning of the game, you are thrown into a darkened room with a flashing red light while sirens blaze in the background; an AI voice greets you, and begins to walk you through a 'personal evaluation' that consists of one question. From that point onward, you will uncover three locations that you can travel to via the memory machine, in order to search for clues as to what you're even looking for. Asemblance does a terrible job in trying to tell the story that it houses, and even reading the long, jargoned notes scattered around the office location does little to convey even the most minor of plot points.
The three locations grow tiresome after a while, as you will do a lot of traveling back and forth between them to try and progress to the next "phase" of the game. These "phases" are activated by simply zooming in on an object and waiting for the environment around you to shift time. Overall, the experience only lasts about half an hour, fourty-five minutes tops, even while obtaining all 4 endings. It's worth adding here that the most convoluted ending to even get is a waste, as it doesn't have any sort of narrative whatsoever.
Psychological horror is excellent, it's a true art form and a delicate craft; Asemblance is nowhere near a psychological horror title, but rather it should be classified as sci-fi if anything. Do not delve into this game expecting to be scared, or even to have a tingle sent up your spine; it's a very brief walking simulator at best, at worst it's a waste of half an hour, and to put it bluntly... it's just plain boring. As mentioned prior, the storytelling is atrocious, the locations are too few, the environments are plain, and the endings aren't worth the effort they require to unlock. The only thing this release has going for it is the fact that it is well optimized. Even at the sale price of $4.39 CAD, Asemblance is not recommended by any means, your time is better spent elsewhere.

An alle die nach einer Stunde schreiben, sie hätten es durch und es wäre zu langweilig gewesen:
Es gibt FÜNF Enden, eigentlich sogar [b]SECHS[/b]! (Das letzte Ende gibt keinen Erfolg) Und es ist Teil des Spieles diese herauszufinden. Besonders die letzten beiden werden äußerst knifflig und die Story ist mehr als vielsagend und schwer zu begreifen. Wenn man sich auf so etwas einlassen kann hat man allerdings eine großartige Erfahrung.
It's short (0.2 hours on record but i have it on PS4 and beat it on that), but actually really good. Great atmosphere and story. However i don't know if I'd pay $10 for it, 200% worth the $4 i paid for it on sale(and got it for free on PS4), but $10? Maybe, guess it depends on how you view indie games.

From a technical standpoint, this game runs smoothly and looks very clean. But from a story standpoint, a complete letdown, which is pretty disapointing considering the lack of interactivity. This game certainly seems like it has potential to be a really cool story, but never really presents anything super engaging, and the fundamental gameplay feels really tedious. I really wanted to like this, but I think a stronger opening and a more cohesive, less repetative experience would really make this game shine...

Your task is to explore different scenes to get informations to help your character’s memory in order to progress onto the next memory.
The graphics are not stunning but still good.
The voice acting is well done.
Asemblance is really short but there are different endings to unlock. I played overall 3 hours and saw all endings.
The endings are not completely satisfying but still Asemblance manages to be a very intriguing and atmospheric sci-fi story.
It is a short unique game, you should consider to give it a try when it is on sale.

ES UN "JUEGO" ESPECIAL
Gráficamente muy bonito, pero poco interactivo y evidente. Se trata de "vivir" una historia, narrada sólo en inglés y sin subtítulos. Hay material que leer, porque la idea es que la historia se construya en tu cabeza a partir de fragmentos repartidos por el pequeño mundo del juego.
La premisa es muy interesante. Estás en una simulación de recuerdos, quizás como paciente, quizás como técnico operador, intentado recomponer tu mente, a base de revivir fragmentos de recuerdos y enlazarlos entre ellos a base de observar tu entorno. NADA MÁS. Sólo mirar cosas concretas en un orden concreto para activar unos recuerdos u otros.
De tan enigmático que es, acabas por no entender demasiado. Pero se agradece el esfuerzo de intentar narrar cosas de otra manera. La ambientación es buena, provoca angustia, desazón. Pero la deriva es demasiado grande, cuesta verse lo bastante involucrado como para intentar ver todos los finales, que apenas son 5, creo. Yo he hecho 3, en unas 3 horas de juego. Pero ya lo dejo estar. Como experiencia está bien, pero es corta y no del todo bien hilada.
Recomendable como curiosidad. En unos años estas propuestas, con una buena IA y en RV pueden llegar a partirnos la cabeza por la mitad, pero de momento es sólo una curiosidad, ideal para comprarla en alguna rebaja de Steam.
