You are faced with the image of a radio on a desk/table with the options to adjust the frequency to different stations, record sound bites, play them back for yourself to listen to, and the option to upload them to the current broadcast to interrupt it with some signal or message. In doing so, you are attempting to unravel some flaky time-travel based government conspiracy.

The music is pretty good (not my cuppa, but it's catchy), the dialogue is fairly decent, and the voice acting is largely excellent (yeah, there's a few less than stellar actors, but it's mostly solid). The gameplay setup is intuitive and easy to grasp. Unfortunately, that's not enough to make the game fun....

The gameplay relies on you intuiting which sound clips are pertinent to the current situation and somehow figuring out which portion of which station's broadcast you should upload the sound bite to in order to progress the plot. The problem is that there simply aren't enough context clues to figure out many of the puzzles in most of the chapters (some are easy to figure out, but most.......yeeesh....), so you will find yourself brute forcing the puzzles by grabbing broadcast segments [i]you[/i] think are pertinent and then uploading them to the djs/newscasters/college students that you think will pick up what you're laying down and provide more information and/or progress the plot.
It results in a game that doesn't respect your time and makes you more or less randomly guess what the heck the game designers were thinking. As an example, during the first chapter you will figure out that you need to snatch a buried code hidden in a broadcast (the clues for this are actually decent, and it shouldn't require too much head-scratching to get to that point) and then switch over to some strange pirate station that is broadcasting random noises/sound-effects, such as a baby crying, a bottle breaking, etc, and download one to your machine and decipher it. Now there's a fair number of those sound effects on display, and ZERO clues as to which one it is, so you literally have to record and re-listen to EACH one in turn before blindly stumbling on the correct one. That's not a puzzle, because there's no way to intuit that it's actually the brick being dropped sound effect that contains the buried sound code (there's no part in any of the broadcasts that hints at something hard smashing, or any bloody clue whatsoever). It's just an exercise in frustration as you listen to and record each sound in order until you get the right one.
As I said, it doesn't respect the player's time and the game rapidly becomes unfun as you try sound bite after sound bite, inserted into one station broadcast segment after another in the hopes that you've guessed (remember almost no context clues, AT ALL) correctly. This doesn't apply to ALL of the game (the last chapter for example has some very logical solutions to progress the plot to its conclusion) but it sure applies to enough of it to make it rather un-fun.
Sadly (because the rest of the presentation {writing, music, etc} is damned solid) I cannot recommend a game that doesn't respect the player's time and substitutes brute-force, random guess "puzzling" for actual conundrums that can be logically solved.
I got this game on sale. It's alright. The concept of the time loop and radio stations to interact with is in general a cool idea. However I feel like they could have done so much more with the lore. There are diffrent paths to take within the game but I feel like the choices don't really matter all that much. Voice acting was either a hit or a miss. The game also crashed for me twice and I am not even sure why. It is an okay game, but you also won't miss out on it either if you don't play it in my opinion.

You get few radio channels with various topics, discussions, conversations, from which you then pluck selected paragraphs and insert them into other channels. Someone wants questions? Listen, find, "copy/paste".

This game was really cool and plays with this unique radio frequency mechanic in unexpected ways. I'm a bit sad to see it go off Steam though
The concept of sifting through radio programs for clips to send to others and capturing their responses before the time loop erases everything is super interesting. But in practice, playing Alt-Frequencies is more like looking for a needle in a haystack... that keeps repeating until you find it.
Oddly enough, I left the game feeling better about the experience than I did while actually playing it. Alt-Frequencies has more than just the concept going for it. Though digging into the particulars of a nation-wide time loop is doing some of the heavy lifting here, watching radio personalities and their guests react to it is what was really captivating.
I can't recommended trying to solve Alt-Frequencies's puzzles. I got no satisfaction out of that. But if you're the sort of person that enjoys things in retrospect as much or more than you do in the moment, then this one's well worth the couple of hours it takes to muddle through.

Please read other reviews. I just wanted to let y'all know I thought it was worth a play. With it leaving STEAM soon, I recommend you try it if it sounds like something you may like. It may not be for everyone, but it was for me. :D

It's a shame this game is going to get taken down from the store, it isn't perfect it any regard but it has some super interesting mechanics and you can tell a lot of effort and thought was put into it. The puzzles were never hard enough to need a guide but were still not too easy as to feel unsatisfying. Definitely more than worth the $0.79 it is on sale for right now if anyone wants to pick it up before it's off the store in late January

Au début, j'ai pensé que l'idée de gameplay était plutôt intéressante ; il s'agit d'utiliser différents extraits audio à notre disposition afin de faire progresser l'histoire.
Sauf que... C'est vite très saoulant d'entendre en boucle les mêmes phrases (l'avance rapide n'est pas d'une grande aide), et l'histoire est ratée. Déjà que choisir une boucle temporelle c'est 80% de chances de se rater, là ça se crashe dès le début du chapitre 2.
P.S.: si jamais vous voulez le tester quand même, il disparaît fin janvier de la plateforme, et je recommande fortement d'afficher les boutons de contrôles à l'écran.

I really enjoyed this game. (I might be biased because I love anything to do with time loops). It was a fun little way to spend my time, and I enjoyed testing out the different response you could get in part 4 depending on which radio station you sent information to. I do wish the game was longer, as things did seem happen rather fast in the later part of the game. It would've been nice to possibly see a sequel too, or to include more of what happens after chapter 5.
The game currently on sale (I was able to get it for under a dollar) and apparently will be taken down by the developers on Jan 29. If you'd like a fun, short, time loop game, now would be a good time to grab it.

As someone who unfortunately went completely blind a few years ago, I have been on the hunt for blind-accessible games. I've had [i]Alt-Frequencies[/i] for quite some time, but between life and medical circumstances and Steam's own inaccessibility problems, I just never tried it until this week. The game is definitely accessible, but I found some significant quirks with regard to navigation.
It's hard to say too much about the story without spoiling important parts of it, but in a nutshell, you are part of a resistance movement to stop the government from implementing a potentially dangerous scientific experiment to solve your nation's most important problems. You control a radio which can both receive and transmit signals, and you use the content of the individual stations to contact the hosts of other stations as a means to disseminate information. The story is relatively short and can be completed in just a couple of hours if you aren't keen on unlocking all of the achievements. But given the slight variance in how things unfold based on which stations get the most important information, there's still reason to replay certain chapters, if not the entire story, after the initial run.
The sound design is [b]AMAZING[/b]. The voice acting for all of the different radio personalities really makes you feel like you're listening to professional DJs, and the sound effects, voices, and distortions used in the various station identification promos is pretty much spot-on with any modern radio station. I love this level of immersion. The default controls are simple enough but can also be remapped, though I curiously could never get my controller to work. However, this game is easy enough to play with the keyboard, so I can overlook this, though someone who is disabled and either not as well-versed with key locations or with another impediment to keyboard usage may need some help getting this going if the controller isn't working.
[i]Alt-Frequencies[/i] fulfills its promise of accessibility to blind users, but there are some quirks that you should be aware of. Upon first launch, I couldn't even get basic keyboard navigation to work. I have yet to understand why. I needed to use Alt-F4 to exit the game and relaunch several times to get it to work, and even then, subsequent launches could be plagued by the issue. A similar issue occurs upon finishing the story; the game returns to the main menu, where basic navigation stops working again. I had to use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to figure out that the game had in fact gone back to the main menu. And it does seem like the physical navigation is working, but the game's text-to-speech support stops announcing what you're doing. This behavior was observed with both Windows Narrator (on Windows 10 Professional) and NVDA. Also, forget the Steam overlay; all navigation simply breaks if the overlay is enabled, and even the arrow keys won't function properly. Your mileage may vary, but I couldn't even get out of the main menu without disabling the overlay. My guess is that there's a conflict between the TTS engine and the Steam overlay, but this will take the developers researching it to find the true cause.
Once you get the game going, however, everything accessibility-wise works beautifully. Controls are responsive, and everything works as it should. Even the insertion of your recorded clips into the pre-arranged radio segments is mostly seamless, which I'm sure was not an easy feat to accomplish. My only real gripe in terms of gameplay is that I wish there were a few more radio stations to flip through. The storyline conversations are genuinely interesting, and there's a great soundtrack here that could have been fleshed out with a few more songs.
All in all, [i]Alt-Frequencies[/i] delivers an engaging narrative with impressive audio and stellar voice acting. I have no complaints at all with the sound design; it's as flawless as that of any AAA title. I did find one quirk, however. In Chapter 4, Part 2, after sending a certain sound clip to Ennis, he will move the story along; however, sending him subsequent audio clips will replace the one which triggered the storyline progression, but he will continue reusing his reaction to the initial clip, no matter what audio clip has replaced the first one. If that's confusing to read, it's hard to say more without spoiling that section. But if/when it happens, you'll understand what i'm saying.
All of this said, [i]Alt-Frequencies[/i] is worth your time, blind or sighted. The issues that I have described may not happen on your machine, but be aware of them, just in case. But if great audio design is a strong point for you, as well as an interesting (if somewhat short) story, give it a try.

An interesting game worth getting on sale. The voice acting was really good and the story was interesting enough. I can't really justify it for full price however as the story leaves a lot to be desired still and could have been expanded upon. The game is pretty short as well, so there isn't enought time to even develop the story or get to know the characters.
Interesting gameplay for sure, even if a little bit clumsy at times. I managed to softlock the game in the very first minute of the tutorial which itself wasn't made well in my opinion. It literally told me to "press the button you have assigned to do this action" instead of telling me what button that action is assigned to by default. That is a weird way to go about introducing the mechanics of any game - I haven't changed the settings prior either. On top of that, there was no way to view what button was mapped to the action the game wanted me to perform, so I had to restart the game once again.
The above mentioned things are however just petty details that I had no problem of getting over in order to finish the game.
TL;DR buy on sale if you like time loop stories, if not then spend your money elsewhere

可惜流程较短，电台也只有那么几个，而且这种排列组合的玩法需要足够的量——推进剧情的组合，不同分支线路的组合——本作体量实在太小，不同剧情屈指可数。不过不是固定结局，挺好的。但如果不变现在的玩法，单纯增加更多内容，添加更多电台，写出更多剧情分支，真的就能让这个游戏变得更好吗？还是说，正是小体谅让这样实验性质的玩法有更好的体验？
故事上，受限于流程和电台这个微观层面的展现，本作只能说匆忙讲了一个阴谋故事，让玩家小小体验了一把草船借箭和时间循环的乐趣。
配音非常好，听电台就好这口，嘻嘻。
Alt-Frequencies presents an interesting thought exercise about time loops, though the narration and story focus more on themes of anti-establishment then anything else.
This divide in narrative between these opposing stories doesn't overlap smoothly, resulting in an underdeveloped time loop story, a government you barely get to know and an underground rebel movement with surface-level ideals that are never expanded upon.
This ultimately culminates into an overall lukewarm story that is over before it even begins.
As far as the game goes, it feels like a mobile game with minimalist menus and large buttons. That is to say, it's very simplistic but also surprisingly limited.
If it is on sale and you think the story sounds interesting, you could do much worse. But you could do a lot better, too.
The storyline and time looping concept is intriguing but unfortunately a bit too short, but would recommend if you have some time.

Truly a unique game! The gameplay mechanic is such an interesting design. From the premise I thought it would be too passive but I had a great time manipulating the plot and unlocking new information. I became extremely engrossed in the story! It's short and satisfying. Highly recommend.
Jeu agréable, concept original, narration simple mais bien menée sur la durée (courte, 2h) du jeu. Les doublages sont très agréables et favorisent l'immersion. Je regrette quand même l'histoire assez simpliste (certes, sur 2h c'est difficile de la développer, mais elle est cousue de fil blanc dès que le thème est exposé).
L'ergonomie des contrôles est bien pensée et les allers-retours entre les stations (comme des A/R entre zones d'un point&click) n'est jamais pénible.
A noter quand même que le tout début est incompréhensible : faute de prise en main claire des contrôles "en situation", j'ai été obligé de regarder une soluce pour comprendre ce qui était attendu, après avoir tâtonné péniblement. Le reste de l'histoire se déroule sans accroc majeur.
Un jeu plaisant, à tester à petit prix (la note de 6 reflète la faible durée et le peu d'originalité de l'histoire).
Un jeu court à prendre en solde mais VOUS DEVEZ LE FAIRE.
Un bon petit gameplay, une narration au top et une fiction immersive vous pouvez faire des "mauvais choix" et tomber sur des réponses assez cool.

Discription:
Alt-Frequencies is An audio mystery set in a time loop. Record, rewind time and broadcast snippets of radio shows to expose radio hosts, conspiracy theorists and politicians.
Id recomend it for everyone who is into stories like this. Has no bugs outside of a spelling mistake I noticed in Chapter The Raid where the term "threat" was misspelled other than that it`s clean.

personally i really enjoyed this game, despite it being short or maybe with an unsatisfying ending. i really liked the political commentary and the game play with the radio stations is really interesting. i understand the dissatisfaction of the ending, but i do think it is realistic and still worth the time. thank you instagram for putting me on this lol

Desvela los secretos que se esconden en las ondas de radio y pon en jaque el plan del gobierno desde las sombras. La jugabilidad es relativamente sencilla, en cada capítulo podremos cambiar entre los distintos canales, escuchando en bucle las distintas conversaciones hasta dar con el mensaje que podría ser de utilidad en otro canal, contestando a alguna pregunta controvertida o creando cierta controversia. Se puede jugar tanto con teclado como con ratón.

Alt-Freequencies me ha resultado un juego original y refrescante, con unas mecánicas realmente sencillas y perfectas para acompañar un café tranquilamente. Puede ser complicado a veces dar con el mensaje clave, por lo que deberemos seguir ciertas instrucciones y prestar mucha atención a un determinado programa que nos proporciona algunas pautas. Es un juego narrativo, por lo que la trama cobra especial relevancia. Los audios están en inglés, pero se encuentra perfectamente traducido al español en texto, por lo que es apto para todo el mundo. Completarlo puede llevarnos 2-3 horas. Muy original, lo recomiendo si te gustan las experiencias de juego diferentes!

Either way, if you somewhat liked one of the two lost phone games by the same French Devs - accidental queens - you'll probably enjoy this little 'puzzle' as well.

La réalisation de jeu est impeccable avec une petite atmosphére Orwell et que je trouve plutôt toujours de propos même aujourd'hui.
Les personnes qui font des jeux chez ARTE ET AVEC eux ont fait de l'excellent boulot
Avant de lancer ce jeu que j'ai acheté dans un bundle, j'ai regardé un peu les avis des autres joueurs pour me faire une idée. Et je commence donc cette évaluation en disant que je ne suis pas d'accord avec la plupart des avis négatifs.
Je trouve au contraire que la narration est bonne, et que les TOUS les messages qu'on entend sur chacune des stations a un sens, une place dans la trame, ou mieux encore, ils laissent souvent entendre des indices et des doubles-sens sur ce qu'il se passe de manière globale, même quand ils ne sont pas "utiles" pour faire avancer l'histoire. Et du coup l'ensemble crée comme une sorte d'"art total" (déformation professionnelle, désolée). Mais bon, je suis une personne qui adore tout analyser, et je sais que ce n'est pas le cas de tout le monde (loin de là).
C'est aussi un jeu qui se veut court, et je trouve honnêtement les fins appropriées quant au timing du jeu et aux messages qu'il tend à faire passer.
Bon, après avoir défendu le coeur du jeu, j'ajoute que c'est une expérience que j'ai vraiment aimée ! C'était très immersif, notamment grâce au point que j'ai préféré du jeu : le DOUBLAGE. Il est IM-PE-CCABLE ! J'ai vraiment adoré les performances des acteurs, et notamment celle de Bruno Magne dans le rôle d'Ennis B. Il m'a fait pleuré de rire plusieurs fois ! Et ça a l'air bête dit comme ça, mais je conseille ce jeu ne serait-ce que pour écouter Ennis B. raconter des conneries !

this game was great, it was refreshing and interesting, although trying to get some of these achivements did require a google. this was a great experience, though despite how cool this was, i played thisa year ago, and dont actually remember much of it until i spot it in my steam list again

Short game with a very interesting idea. The story moves along a bit too quickly and the ending is unsatisfying. Even with that the, I guess we should call them puzzles, up to the ending are fun and well implemented as well as all the extra hidden interactions. The voice acting and writing is also pretty good! I also appreciate very much the accessibility options given, like the screen reader and the in game buttons. All in all, I think you should give this a try if you are looking for something fresh, or something short and fun. The game is under 2 hours, but it's just 8€ and it regularly goes on sale (90% off at the time of writing this review) as well.

The game play mechanic is very interesting but simple, recording, sending and fast forwarding through a radio station to help move along the plot and decipher the truth.
I enjoyed it, even the changes the different paths provided were worth going back through for.

A fairly short game, but has an interesting premise. I wish there was a bit more you could do to change the outcome of different events, but all plot points are pretty set in stone. To me, the ending felt a bit abrupt regardless of your final choice. All in all, decent game that is worth the price, especially when it's on sale.
This games was short, but pretty cool. The whole thing is a very minimal interface with audio streams you can listen to like radio stations to solve the overall mystery of this time loop you seem to be stuck in.
I could see this game not being for everyone since its all audio, The only visuals are the game interface,a picture of a radio, the station name and subtitles of the audio stream.
the only player interaction is recording clips from one station to send to another to "call in" .
Its an interesting concept i haven't seen done before.
I will probably go back to check out a couple branching paths I didn't try to see if it changes the end outcome at all.
Más que un juego es una historia o un viaje, todo gira en torno a la misma mecánica, escuchar la radio, grabar un fragmento y pasarlo a otra radio. Con eso solo se desarrolla toda la historia, que dura lo justo y necesario. De todos modos, la mecánica daba para más, se me hizo muy corto, le hubiese agregado días extra para seguir escuchando a los personajes, porque por lo poco que aparecen se me hicieron muy interesantes.
While this isn't my kind of game, again I will bypass the usual rigorous requirements I have for games in terms of visual quality, polish and so on, which are otherwise absolutely mandatory for any game to be considered the best of the best.
Why?
Because this is another of those very important games that's designed to be accessible by the visually impaired.
The world is trapped in a time loop. It's Groundhog Day... again. This is a mystery game where you listen to various radio stations as a "Remembrant", much like Bill Murray's "Phil" in the feature film, Groundhog Day. You don't get reset when everyone else in the time loop does. You use keyboard or screen controls to navigate the radio stations. You don't need to be able to see to play and finish this game.
Piece together the mystery to uncover a great conspiracy.
I firmly believe gaming must be for everyone, and these games for the visually impaired give something to those for whom most video gaming shuts out.
For that reason, I recommend this.

I wish there was a middle of the road review option but have chosen Yes because there isn't.
It's an interesting concept and I liked the storyline. It's not fleshed out very much and don't let my playtime fool you, I have a nasty habit of leaving the game paused and wandering off. I think this was under 2 hours of gameplay at a push.
I don't think of myself as a stupid person but I do believe you will inevitably end up using a walkthrough for this game as a lot of the choices didn't seem that logical to me. It was okay and I appreciate what was trying to be done here, but to rely on a walkthrough irked me somewhat.

An interesting story that made your actions have an impact. You have to truly listen to what they're saying to figure out where to go and what to say, or listen to, or respond, or who to say it too. You also have the choice of going back and doing things differently, and the devs were kind enough to add a fast-forward button for you to skip unnecessary (Or just straight-up boring) dialogue.
On sale this game is 2$. It is not a masterpiece by any means, but it is way more fun than I originally expected.

何とも独特なゲーム。タイムループに捕らわれている状況に誰も気付いていない世界が舞台。タイムループから脱する為に試行錯誤するのだけど、できることが「ラジオ放送を聞く」「ラジオ放送の一部を録音する」「録音した音を別のラジオ局に流す」の3つだけ。分かり易い選択肢が出てくるノベルゲームと違い、[b]実際にラジオ放送に耳を傾け[/b]て、そこからループ脱出の為の取っ掛かりを見出だす必要がある。

ラジオがキーになっているだけに全編フルボイス。どのキャストも聞き取り易い声だし、字幕もかなり親切。特に[url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3238238462]「音で聞こえるが会話ではないもの」まで丁寧に字幕化されている[/url]。
ただ、ラジオ放送なので当然ながらリアルタイムに次から次へと声が流れていく。途中で止めたりはできない(厳密に言えばメニューを出すことで一時停止はできるが、字幕がメニューに隠れるので読み取りの補助にはならない)。なので或る程度の英語力は要求される。
一方で3分くらいで状況がループするので、部分的に聞き逃したり理解が追いつかなかったりしてもやり直しし放題。ループすることによるペナルティは何も無いので、落ち着いて気楽に取り組める。

ストーリーは全5章構成。章によってクリアに必要な手数は結構マチマチ。ゲーム全体としては集中して取り組めば2時間くらいで終わる分量。
媒体が媒体だけに劇的な展開やら演出やらは無く、ストーリー的にもパッとしないところはあり、エンディングに至っては打ち切り漫画みたいな急さがある。
それでも、一つ一つのラジオ局にちゃんと耳を傾けて理解する必要があるプレイ体験は何とも独特でとても良かった。
続編なり似たコンセプトの次回作なりが出るとしたら是非やりたいと思えるくらいには良かった。

ちなみに、ラジオが主体というゲームの特性からか、アクセシビリティの配慮が高いのも特徴的だった。音のみや音無しでもプレイ可能になっている。
ただこの配慮が仇となってSteam Deckで遊べるようにするには一手間掛かった。デフォルトでオンになっている "Screen reader" をオフにしないとSteam Deckではまともに遊べないのだけど、初期状態だとメニュー操作すら困難なので大分困った(カーソルでメニューをホバーできてもクリックして決定ができない。Enterでなら決定できるので、Enterを「Steamボタン+→」で入力すると良い)。
Alt-Frequencies is a narrative-driven exploration game that takes you on a journey where you use airwaves and the benefit of time loops to expose conspiracies and politicians. While the premise of the game was extremely intriguing, the experience falls short in a few key areas.
First off, it does have an alluring narrative with its cryptic story, centred around deciphering multiple radio frequencies and attempting to uncover hidden messages to assist in exposing corrupt politicians within a conspiracy. Unravelling the many secrets and piecing together the narrative was engaging, and attempting to earn the hidden achievements added to that. I did also enjoy the voice acting and felt it further enhanced the experience, bringing the various radio personalities and snippets of conversation to life.
However, the lack of player choice consequences and a singular ending severely limited replayability and the frequent looping of the stations, while attempting to piece together the messages, became extremely repetitive and annoying.
The biggest letdown is the narrative. While the initial concept is intriguing, the story feels underdeveloped. You’re thrown into a conspiracy without any real connection to the characters or scenario, even after piecing together the entire fragmented story. This lack of emotional engagement made the ending feel underwhelming.
Overall, I would love to have provided this game with a neutral review although Steam lacks that option. The concept and core mechanics hold promise, but the lack of consequences from player's decision-making and an underdeveloped narrative, prevent the game from reaching its full potential. At the end of the day, it would be worth a try during a Steam sale for those who enjoy atmospheric exploration and piecing together cryptic stories, but players expecting a strong story might want to leave this one out.

I really liked the story but it would be better if there was more. The ending is basically the same even if you make different choices. I think it's a bit overpriced but personally I still really enjoyed it. Also it is more of a tech demo rather than a game. 7/10 for me probably.
Yes, Alt-Frequencies is unfortunately shallow and fails to push its unique premise very far. But if you can show me another time looping political thriller expressed entirely through flipping through radio stations, I'd also play that one.

Você é uma das pessoas que não se afeta pela nova tecnologia de "loop" no tempo da vida das pessoas, basicamente. Ou seja, agora é possível voltar em alguns momentos no tempo e refazer coisas erradas ou simplesmente fazer algo de forma diferente.
Para interagir com a "resistência" (pessoas também não afetadas) é preciso se comunicar através do rádio, gravando trechos e enviando gravações de uma estação para outra.
Um jogo com 2 finais diferentes e um secreto, além de conquistas diversas e tudo muito bem feito e elaborado! Tudo ainda tem legendas para facilitar os jogadores. Maravilhoso!

Amazing game with an even more amazing story. Not a lot to say since the game is fairly short, but def worth the price.
Another game that puts a fun spin on a mystery, the use of the radio and clip recording system is creative and fun to use. The challenges are hard at times, but the hint system is helpful to figure out what to do.
Feels more like a proof of concept or demo than a full game. There's a solid foundation here, but it's very short, you basically need to do two things per chapter and with 5 chapters (+ tutorial), it's not that much too it. Also, you definitly want to play with the on screen buttons, the other control mechanics was awful. Cool idea where you record clips from the radio and use them in other places to expose the conspiracy about a goverment sanctioned time loop. For the most part pretty good voice acting, but the plot was undercooked, it really could have been much longer.
In the end, it's not really worth the asking price IMO, even if it's a cool idea and what is there is well executed. I would love for a more fleshed out game based on this concept. More radio channels, more moral choices, more branching stories (there is some but nothing that really change much in the end).
I'll still do a thumbs up, because it's still a good game, just be prepared that it will be over very quickly. Most of the 3 hours was going back trying to find achievements.

Si no te gustas los juegos tipo point and click o tipo novela visual puede que este no sea tu tipo de juego. El juego tienes unas actuaciones de voz muy buenas por cierto.
Posee una mecanica sencilla donde estas atrapado en un bucle escuchando los mismos dialogos en la radio, debes grabar ciertos dialogos y mandarselos a otra emisora para que la historia avance.

El unico contra que le veo es que su final es un poco abrupto.
Experiencia acotada, pero sólida. Sus mecánicas son por demás simples, pero están al servicio de una trama detectivesca más que funcional, presentada mediante una dinámica de bucle temporal lo suficientemente atrayente como para que quieras acabar el juego de una sentada. Los actores y actrices de voz son de lo mejor que tiene, con actuaciones sólidas y desbordantes de carisma. Una ficción interactiva que cumple con lo que promete.
Alt-Frequencies has really promissing reviews so i thought that this would be a cool little story game with unique mechanics that I'd binge through in an afternoon. In the end it took me almost a week and multiple sessions to get through it.
The story is kinda boring, the radio talks you can listen to tireing, the controls are unintuitive (if you don't use the on screen buttons) and the endings unsatisfying. And most importantly, the things you are supposed to record and send somewhere else are so abstruse that, had i not played it with a guide to ebgin with, i would have been stuck multiple times throughout. Like, i tried the first and second chapter on my own and it was so frustrating and didn't make any sense. i cannot imagine trying for all achievements on your own.
An innovative game with the way it is played plus an interesting plot for certain. It's a short game, but certainly worth your time if you'd like to try something entirely different. Great voice acting, too!

I didn't really have any expectation when I started the game. It was part of a bundle or something like that so I didn't really look up what is was about. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised ! The game mechanic was very interesting and I loved the story. It kept me on the edge of my seat. And there was different little story parts you could get when sending the right dialogues. Also, the songs where amazing and I will listen to them for sure. I feel like there could have been a bit more, but I think I get what the story was trying to convey [spoiler] and while the ending made me a bit mad, when finding the new voice of resistance segment made me really exited. If you are willing to carefully listen, you might enjoy playing this game. However, adjust your expectations and it's a good price on sale if you want to try. I love the idea of this game, creating an experience that feels like listening to a podcast and a news station. That's what I enjoyed the most, the voice acting.
Gameplay is simple, someone at a radio station tells you to expose a conspiracy / theory / politics by recording someone's voice from one station and sending it to other station to get information. The game wasn't difficult and does not have a lengthy story.
