Juego beat 'em up inspirado en los acontecimientos Romanos en Britania con una jugabilidad retro, pero con estilo moderno, controles sencillos, dificultad difícil, violento, visceral, con desafíos gratificantes, atractivo y excelentes gráficos con animaciones que merece ser explorado y jugado.
Los acontecimientos históricos están ambientados durante la ocupación Romana de Britania en los años 120 d.C. Nuestros 3 héroes de la tribu norteña de los Caledonios: Caradoc, Brennus y la agil Guinevere decidirán poner freno al avance de las legiones Romanas y tribus traidoras bárbaras que se han aliado con ellos y resistir el férreo avance y dominio de Roma.
Es importante dedicar el tiempo necesario para aprender por completo las mecánicas del juego, cada miembro del trío cuenta con diferentes fortalezas y debilidades y debes buscar tu equilibrio. La jugabilidad es rápida (control Xbox one) con controles intuitivos y combinados para la destreza del héroe:
Con (x)puedes desenvainar tu espada para un ataque ligero, con(y) realiza ataques potentes con armas pesadas para decapitar y descuartizar a tus enemigos, puedes bloquear (B) con el escudo y evitar recibir daño o de bloquear y contrarrestar con un ataque profano, puedes saltar con (A)para dar ataques desde arriba, puedes correr (gatillo Rb) o girar sobre el terreno al presionarlo dos veces y así escapar de una situación difícil o puedes realizar un ataque especial (A+B)para liberarte cuando te encuentres acorralado, aunque este ataque te penaliza un poco de salud.
También existe un movimiento especial llamado furia que te ayudara a sobrevivir contra todo pronóstico,
con una barra de color azul que se llena mediante pociones que encontremos tirada en los escenarios o cantidad de combo y ejecuciones que conectemos contra los enemigos, esta furia te hará temporalmente invulnerable, tus ataques se vuelven más rápido mientras tu salud se regenera lentamente.
También existe otro movimiento especial que se usa una sola vez por nivel y nos puedes salvar de una situación extrema, consiste en invocar unos lobos de compañeros que atacaran a los enemigos y los embestirán.
Mientras avanzas heroicamente por los campos, puedes hacerte con 34 armas pesadas des bloqueables que encontraras dispersa durante los 8 niveles que componen la aventura, estas armas pesadas hacen un daño considerado con respecto al ataque básico, igualmente también puedes recoger dagas, martillos, lanzas, espadas y extremidades que los enemigos dejaran una vez ejecutados.
Cada nivel está compuesto por su jefe final corpulentos, ágiles y llenos de personalidad, el juego tiene cooperativo local y se divide en 3 modos para elegir, el modo Normal con puntos de control, vidas ilimitadas con 2 dificultades a elegir (fácil y normal), el modo Árcade para los que buscan un desafío más exigente con solo 3 vidas y 3 continúes, y un modo secreto que se desbloquea al terminar el juego, pero no quiero hacer spoiler, y uno aparte el clásico modo Arena, que actúa como un desafío de supervivencia donde intentas eliminar oleadas de enemigos en diferentes escenarios. Además de todo esto puedes descubrir zonas secretas en los niveles, coleccionar 105 documentos históricos sobre Britania y el folclore de la época, desbloquear 56 logros Steam y 196 archivos entre videos y arte del juego, estos componentes suma un gran valor de rejugabilidad para aquellos que son completistas.
A nivel gráfico es atractivo, con animaciones suaves y entornos atmosféricos bellamente detallados que se inspiran en lugares reales de las islas británicas y fortificaciones Romanas. El sonido y los efectos añade una capa adicional de inmersión ofreciendo una experiencia cinematográfica orquestal, las actuaciones de voces y narración son muy precisas y excelente en cada aventura, aunque viene totalmente en ingles y ni siquiera cuenta con subtítulos en español y si no manejas fluidamente el inglés como que te pierdes de mucho de la aventura, sobre todo de la cantidad de documentos históricos para leer.
En conclusión el juego es excelente, con una historia profunda y jugabilidad desafiante que requiere táctica como agresividad, quizás a los jugadores casuales les resulte un juego difícil, pero puedo predecir con confianza que les gustara la cantidad de desafíos que contiene, además de aprender historia de los bárbaros de Britania durante la ocupación Romana.

I 've purchased the game in a low price 2.39 euro. Game plays smooth 4K high settings with all at maximum. I enjoyed the first two stages but I realized that game consumes high cpu power especially in two specific cores. My cpu is intel 14600k stock and cpu power during game is above 130w. Temps rise above 75 celcius. I want to play the game because I am a fan of old school brawlers but I cannot understand why my cpu has to draw so much power. I understand that unity engine consumes a lot of power in the cpu but its the first time I experience this especially in a 2d game. Game is very fun up to 2 level.

Неплохой битемапчик на вечерок-другой. К однозначным плюсам можно отнести не избитый для жанра сеттинг — сражаемся за викингов против других викингов и римлян. Игра не стесняется жесткости, от врагов постоянно отлетают окровавленные конечности и головы, которые потом можно швырнуть в новых противников, да и сами тушки врагов можно смачно насадить на торчащие местами колья (что не очевидно и стало приятной неожиданностью, когда случайно произошло в первый раз). Порадовала концовка и некоторые красиво поставленные сцены.
Немного неоднозначной тут получилась боевка. С одной стороны довольно динамчиная, есть нормальный арсенал приемов (блок, бег, парирование, деш, броски и т.п.), в тоже время ощущается немного топорной из-за некоторых моментов. Твои действия здесь не прерываются в другие твои действия и если ты, например, уже прожал кнопочки для комбухи, а враг в этот момент начал делать непрерываемую атаку, все, терпи, отменить свое действие блоком или дешем уже не получится. Деш в связи с этим вообще не рабочий получается, единственный наверное битемап в котором я им крайне редко пользовался. Еще после многих атак есть ощутимая задержка, отчего не получится делать длинные цепочки комбо, хотя постоянно это так и просится. Ну еще ряд небольших подобных моментов мешают боевке раскрыться на полную, на мой взгляд.
Врагов и боссов не сказать что большое разнообразие, но хватает на непродолжительное прохождение. А, еще для любителей истории тут целая куча справочного материала, есть даже видео снятые с натуры с мест где происходят события, только игра без перевода.

More of a neutral rating for this game. Its fun, the graphics and art style are great. The bits of history we get of the area is good as well. The difficulty of the game is good, too. However, I found that avoiding some enemy attacks was obnoxiously hard. Double tapping the block button in the middle of combat either results in an accidental parry or the dodge just does not work resulting in getting your health melted down real quick. Also, the adds in the boss fights are not needed.
A mi personalmente no me ha gustado y lo he terminado casi por obligación. No esta en castellano y los graficos tipo flash no me han convencido. Poco o nada adictivo ... siempre bajo mi punto de vista.
Game seems to be dead. It attempts to load on Build 33, but will never launch. I enjoyed the game for the amount of time I did get to play it...
Enjoyable beat'em up, with loads of gore (dismemberment, decapitations), decent combat (the controls can feel stiff at times, and you get locked in some animations, but the combos feel satisfying and there are different temporary weapons with distinct attack patterns), stylish graphics, and a pretty simple story about fending off the Romans. The enemies could use some variety as they are samey across the 8 levels (the stage bosses are unique though), and the environments are varied enough. The cutscenes look hand-drawn, and the voice acting is OK. There are some secrets to be found (like extra levels and history unlocks), so exploration is rewarded. Also, after beating the game, a new mode is unlocked, allowing you to use the overpowered werewolf transformation throughout the playthrough.
Overall, a fun game; it has some difficulty spikes towards the end, so playing in co-op is highly advised.

We enjoyed it. However, it's worth noting we beat the entire game in under 5 hours. It could easily be beaten in 3 or 4 if we didn't struggle on that final boss. It was the best spiritual successor to golden axe we have played. Visuals and combat are great, fun couch co-op for sure. We didn't see any replay value. Still, mostly satisfied with this game.
Very good old-school beat 'em up with fun gameplay and great aesthetics and atmosphere. Unfortunately, both are held back a bit: the former by the comparative lack of tactical sophistication in the characters' moves, the latter by the repetitiveness of the stage designs. At the same time, both are mitigated by the game allowing players to save and just continue at a later date, so the experience doesn't get boring.
Story-wise, it's a classic - arguably basic - plot, but it's livened up by the main characters and the twist at the end (which is poorly foreshadowed, unfortunately, unless you read the characters' bios).
Overall, a definite rec!

The game is very well made, although quite short, but raw amount of blood, gore and ol' good ultraviolence makes it must-play for everyone who loves old-school beat'em'ups. The gameplay is well-balanced, and most of the moves and strikes are usefull and easy to execute. Oh yes, there are also executions there. Art style and music are nice as well. Totally worth it's money.
'Arcade-like' hack 'n slach actiongame with some area's that test your resolve. I like it a lot!

[i] Beat 'em up [/i] тут не несёт каких-то значимых геймплейных находок, но сбит довольно крепко, что позволяет пройти кампанию за один присест. Частые сюжетные кат-сцены, в свою очередь, позволяют отдохнуть от напряжённых боёв, не сбивая темп игры.

[b] Отталкивает [/b] от игры в первую очередь техническое состояние. 2х мерный beat 'em up разогревает видеокарту наравне с [b] Киберпанком(!), [/b] особенно во время кат-сцен, а настройки графики в игре не предусмотрены вовсе.
Но ещё больше удручает [b] управление. [/b] Мало того, что движения персонажей сами по себе довольно деревянные и медлительные, так ещё и присутствует постоянный [i] input lag. [/i] Вначале грешил на свой беспроводной [strike] джойстик [/strike] геймпад от [i] x box one, [/i] но перейдя на проводную клавиатуру разницы не обнаружил.
Кого-то может расстроить короткая продолжительность игры, пройти кампанию можно за [b] пару часов. [/b] Да, есть ещё аркадный режим, арены с таблицами лидеров и 3 персонажа с минорными отличиями, но особой [i] реиграбельности [/i] в рельсовую игру это не добавляет.
Отсутствие [b] русской [/b] локализации мешает проникнуться сюжетом и историческими фактами из доп. материалов. Английский тут не сложный, на уровне средней школы, но внимание на себя отвлекает, сбивая темп игры.
[b] В целом, [/b] учитывая невысокую стоимость и длительность, игра оставила положительные впечатления и рекомендовать её любителям жанра и сеттинга вполне можно.
Jeu très sympa tant dans sa réalisation que dans son style graphique très agréable à l'oeil.
La difficulté n'est pas trop élevé et le mode survie est idéal pour bien se défouler en découpant des têtes et des bras ^^ Par contre, cette manie de mettre des ennemis lors des combats de Boss m'agace au plus au point car ils ne sont pas assez nombreux pour vous aider à monter votre jauge de frénésie, ils sont juste là pour vous casser les pieds et ceux à TOUT les affrontements de Boss ce qui ruine complètement l'affrontement avec des ennemis qui devraient être plus travailler et poser des problèmes autre que de se prendre un coup de leur part car l'on étant empêtré avec un pauvre barbare ou légionnaire.
Cela reste un problème mineur et le jeu reste bon. Je ne comprends pas les critiques quant à la jouabilité réduite car on est sur un style beat them all... Et que ce soit Street of Rage ou autre, en général on avance de gauche à droite en distribuant des coups et en affrontant des Boss, tout ça avec un panel de coup qui n'est pas non plus riche en tout genre.
Je le recommande car pour 12 euros, c'est un jeu qui vous défoulera bien et qui niveau réalisation mérite son prix.

Wulverblade is an interesting beat-em-up where you play some English/Scottish? berserkers who are fighting back against Rome
It has some interesting historical tidbits where it talks about inspiration the devs had looking at some ancient rock circles, and some other areas where you can learn a bit about weapons like the Roman Gladius, and others, but that's not terribly interesting.
Seems there's about 7 levels and so far I've completed 2 in 40 minutes. The game doesn't seem to be very long
There's some tactical aspects like blocking at the right time can disorient the enemy/boss allowing for a counter attack but the window is very small and otherwise the combat is very button mashy and trying to get the tons of enemies it throws at you dead fast so you don't take too much damage means there's ultimately too much going on to not just button mash.
You have multiple lives and it's all scored at the end on how well you did and what items you picked up and how quickly you went through the level. I guess it's okay, for free, but for $15 normally I think it's a bit steep, personally.
Pretty enjoyable, but who had the idea to make the attack and pick button the same?

無腦砍砍砍，爽感十足，看似很好玩，不過遊戲全部內容基本就只有展示影片的那樣。
實際上遊戲性及操作感極差，8關只有最後一關有點變化，玩3關就膩了。

Abaixo seguem críticas/observações:
- Platina foi obtida em 23 horas, provavelmente seja possível em bem menos tempo, skipando as animações/textos/extras e farmando as cumulativas em locais eficientes. As conquistas cumulativas devem ser feitas na campanha (Standard, Arcade ou Beast) porque as quantidades obtidas na Arena são resetadas. Melhor local pra obter empalamentos é na fase 3 depois do primeiro checkpoint (opção voltar checkpoint não reseta as cumulativas), e melhor maneira de obter execuções rápidas é na campanha Beast;
- A quantidade de extras desbloqueáveis é muito grande, boa parte são informações/ilustrações/videos sobre fatos históricos, locais reais e armas brancas do período;
- Resposta dos comandos é lenta, por exemplo, é comum receber dano no intervalo entre o apertar do botão e ativação do rage (invencibilidade). Essa diferença é pequena, mas bem perceptível, a sensação com o pulo é a mesma;
- No movimento de execução, o protagonista monta no pré-defunto caído executando ataques manualmente até matar, mas geralmente é atacado durante o processo, então não é muito inteligente tentar fazer a execução com inimigos por perto. A ideia da execução encaixa perfeitamente na proposta, mas infelizmente foi mal executada pelos devs, portanto algo mais simples do tipo apertar apenas X no inimigo caído e atordoado = execução direta em câmera lenta teria sido muito melhor;
- O jogo é recheado de barris/caixas, a maioria estão vazios e todos os items são aleatórios. Outra observação, na prática não é necessário coletar nenhum dinheiro dos barris/caixas pois a quantidade de pontos obtido é insignificante e a pontuação máxima (rank 3) é obtida com combos;
- BUG. Ao abrir qualquer coisa pelo navegador da Steam (Tab + Shift), a corrida (acionada por frente+frente ou R2) ficará permanentemente ativada, e jogar dessa forma é quase impossível. A única forma de corrigir o problema é fechando o jogo, e não utilizar o navegador;
PROBLEMAS CRÍTICOS:
1) Agarrar o oponente apenas com o movimento faz parte do gênero beat 'em up, portanto é uma mecânica considerada retro e padrão, mas aqui isso atrapalha consideravelmente devido ao comportamento da IA, portanto o agarrão deveria ser removido ou o comando modificado pois prejudica seriamente o gameplay;
2) A quantidade de objetos pelo cenário que podem ser apanhados com o botão ataque é absurda chegando ao cumulo de prejudicar seriamente o desempenho, portanto diante da ideia aqui presente utilizar um botão especifico apenas para pegar teria sido uma opção infinitamente melhor.
Veredito
Wulverblade é no máximo mediano, há qualidades visíveis e algumas coisas no gameplay são legais, mas a experiência torna-se frustante devido principalmente aos problemas descritos como críticos na minha análise, portanto eu não o recomendo.
A campanha é bem curtinha, mas eu paguei 2 pila então tá valendo.
Jogo gostosinho de jogar, zerei numa madrugada.
Como todo beat'em up, dá aquelas roubadas inexplicáveis que te fazem morrer de graça e ter que começar a fase de novo. Mas mesmo assim deu pra chegar até o fim sem passar raiva.
Recomendo, ainda mais se for por 2 pila.
Achei muito legal esse jogo de lutinha no estilo clássico em 2D com profundidade e vários inimigos surgindo das laterais, bem como bosses únicos no final de cada fase.. e embora ele possua a jogabilidade padrão de joguinhos de pancadaria, ainda assim ele difere bastante por conta do tema, qe é mto interessante e se passa na época em qe os bárbaros lutavam contra o império romano e contra outras tribos aliadas aos romanos em busca de “paz”. Além disso o jogo tem gráficos bem bonitos e conta cm bastante violência gráfica, incluindo desmembramentos e mto derramamento de sangue. Pra ficar ainda melhor, o jogo permite coop local em toda a campanha e tem um preço super acessível (principalmente em promoção), valendo a pena dar uma chance embora seja importante ter em mente qe ele é beeem repetitivo e cansativo cm o tempo, cm inimigos qe não param de surgir o tempo todo e parecem infinitos em alguns momentos.

Wulver Blade est un beat'em all sympathique. J'ai été conquis par le contexte, le lore, les graphismes et les musiques. On est bien dedans.
Maintenant au niveau du gameplay, ça fait un peu "light" au niveau de la palette de coups par rapport à un Streets of Rage 4 par exemple. Il est dommage aussi de ne pas avoir proposé des animaux montables comme sur Golden Axe, surtout que Wulver Blade fait penser à Golden Axe à cause de son contexte antiquité/Bas moyen age.
Cela dit, les beat'em all courent pas les rues ces temps ci, donc si vous recherchez un jeu de ce genre, et que vous avez limé Streets of Rage, Wulver Blade fera l'affaire.

总体来说优点多于缺点的一款还算不错的2D清版动作游戏。以公元120年罗马军队入侵英格兰地区为背景，玩家扮演有狼族血统的凯尔特土著对抗叛变的部落和强大的罗马军团。
优点：
画面和光影效果比较漂亮。
音乐很凯尔特。
对话和杂兵配音质量都很高。
操作手感中上，打击感很好。
剧情在同类独立游戏里算是比较紧凑的。
游戏里有很多历史知识小纸条还有实景视频。
缺点：
游戏模式虽然比较多，但变化不够大。
人物没有成长，战斗方式有点单调，boss设计也比较平庸。
最终boss的弩箭攻击提示光圈有问题，不光射击路线上会
人物占画面比例过大，有时候不容易判断位置。
捡地上物品的按键和普通攻击是一个键，非常容易误操作。

I like Celtic motives and setting. But the game is incredibly boring and monotonous. I would not recommend it

I really wanted to like this game, but the enemies completely ignore your guard and often attack through your attacks. They can hit you from several planes down and will trap you in loops of recoil and assault draining your health quickly.

Beat'em as a game type needed this. And as artful as the cartoon style is, it is counter to north europe dreariness, so I'll wait on my "Rune" remake, and don't you dare say Skyrim to me, this is Celts, totally different. All that said, its fantastic and worth your time, and fun as hell with a friend.

I’m sorry to say this, and it breaks my heart considering all the massive historical work and drawing skills that have gone into this game. But honestly, oh boy, if you would ask me, considering the fun value, I wouldn’t recommend this game, especially not to a good friend. I know, this might sound harsh, but let’s start at the beginning.
If you follow my reviews, I mostly play those games in local coop with my wife, and I have to admit, our experience actually started out really promising. A coop brawler where you can choose among 3 characters, with level replay option, what can go wrong, right? And the first level was actually ok. But the longer we played, the more we wondered about the meaning of this game. There was no sense of progression, or even a hint of leveling up, you didn’t get better. The later the levels, just more repetitive mobs were thrown at you, wave after wave, and always the same ones. At some point (around level 5) we even switched to Easy difficulty, just because it was getting kind of harassing. Yeah, that’s how fun it felt like. And at this point you just have to strongly question the game design, seriously, what’s it worth to make a game where nothing matters or varies, where you never improve, but where the difficulty just slowly scales up to a point that annoys you. Sure, having grown up in the 80s myself I get it, obviously it’s supposed to be teeth-grinding old-school (a time when processing power was low and games were rare), but meanwhile we’ve experienced loads of modern titles with an alternate approach that emphasize other entertaining aspects and actually encourage replays (also considering coop, as a reality check, who’s got a spouse at home that longs for that kind of self-torture after a hard day of work?). And this even contradicts all the historical intent the game spreads, like, how can I cherish all the per se interesting facts (hidden in barrels or enemy drops) when I’m in an intense fight desperately clinging to life. I found myself just clicking all those texts away in the heat of battle instead of reading them, and that’s a shame if you think about it.
As a fair disclosure, we haven’t finished the game yet, and though the environments and the story itself until now haven’t offered much variation (it’s mostly about fighting the Roman invaders), maybe the game will surprise us in the last chapters after all, who knows, but at this moment, sadly I’m kind of annoyed and bored by it. Hitboxes are off (if you’re slightly standing above an enemy, you miss), important controls (like dodging) are extremely clunky and unnecessarily complicated (e.g. double-tapping), achievements are hell, and like I said, I’m struggling to find a reason why I should finish it. To be truly honest (and forgive me if this is just my déjà vu of recently playing Paw Paw Paw speaking), I meanwhile sometimes wish that the Unity engine wouldn’t provide such relatively simple means to make certain game types, because in the end, it somehow hurts everyone, the devs, the players and the market somehow (and that’s from someone who loves indie games from the heart).
Se trata de un beat em up (peleas callejeras). Es el tipico juego de antaño donde te hartabas de dar mamporrazos a todo aquel enemigo que saliese en pantalla. Para poneros en situacion; es como si jugases al Golden Axe, Street of Rage, Cadillac Dinosaurs, Double Dragon, Final Fight... y todos aquellos de la vieja escuela que tantas horas nos hicieron de joven disfrutar partida tras partida.
La campaña esta dividida en 8 misiones (mapas) de una duracion aproximada de unos 15-20min cada mapa/mision. Aqui no hay toques de rol, muy de moda en este estilo de juego para dar algo de frescura. Wulverblade no es asi, sino como los antiguos de verdad.
Su rejugabilidad dependerá de lo que le guste a cada uno repetir escenarios una y otra vez con los 3 tipos de personajes que hay. Una vez finalizada la campaña, puedes jugarla de nuevo con otros personajes o simplemente jugarlo con los hombres lobos (Ya sabrás el por qué). Ademas, hay un modo arena donde sobrevivir oleadas es tu mision.
No es un juegazo, ni aporta nada nuevo al genero. Simplemente es entretenido y si lo encuentras a buen precio y te gusta este genero de beat em up, COMPRALO!

Sem contar o enredo do game, muito bem desenvolvido, peguei por 90% de desconto, mas esse eu compraria por menos desconto, vale super a pena.

Quick Description:
-Wulverblade is a bloody, visceral, beat em up where you will battle armies in historically accurate settings. As you slice the heads off of anyone in your path you will learn the history of the time period and be immersed in badass cut scenes. This is a great modern cinematic beat em up that fans of the genre are sure to enjoy!
What's Good:
-The art style is the first thing that you will notice and everything looks really great visually. There are lots of bold and sharp colors, excellent character models w/ a ton of variation in enemy design, solid backgrounds, and the blood splatter and slow-mo death transitions are top notch.
-The cut scenes in between levels are really cool and extremely unique. They are able to tell a story all while portraying dark cartoonish battle scenes that will chill you to your core. I normally skip cut scenes, but these are well worth checking out.
-The map in between levels has a lot of charm and if you click on areas outside of the missions, you will be given historical context and pictures of settings that battles took place. It's these little details that really makes this game stand out from other similar beat em ups.
-This is a really well polished game. Movement feels really good and it's easy to know when you'll connect on attacks or grabs. You transition from one attack to the next really smoothly. It's a lot of fun trying out different combos and every death is brutal and unique. Cutting off heads and watching blood splatter across the screen looks and feels great.
-You will unlock a wolves N+ mode after your first completion of the game and this is a super fun mode. You become an insanely overpowered wolf and it's just such a blast clawing your way through entire armies. This is another really simple but smart choice by the devs to add replayability and help Wulverblade stand out from the crowd.
Could Use a Few Changes:
-Although I liked the bosses, there is less variety in terms of their look, attack patterns, and overall challenge in comparison to fellow beat em Mother Russia Bleeds. I also found the bosses to be on the easier side. The final boss is an exception as that is an excellent boss battle, but most of the other bosses kind of blend together in my mind.
-The gameplay itself is fairly formulaic and doesn't add a ton to the beat em up genre. You have your standard attack, throw/slam, you can jump, block, or pick up weapons. The weapons themselves also don't hit as hard as I was hoping for. There are a lot of them and they make sense in their historical context but they also kind of blend together.
-A common complaint in beat em ups is the short run time and this is no exception. Most players will beat the game in their first playthrough in about 3 hrs. It's a really fun 3 hrs and there's plenty of reason to return upon completion, but it's worth mentioning.
Thoughts:
-This is a really great choice for those new to beat em ups and for veterans of the genre. It's very traditional in it's gameplay but extremely modern in almost every other area. It's rare that a game will get me to become invested in the history and setting that the game is based upon but Wulverblade is able to pull that off w/ excellent story telling, fun and colorful cut scenes, and non intrusive options to learn more about the historical setting. The wolves N+ Mode is just the icing on the cake!
Consensus:
-Solid Game (Tier 3 and makes up 35% of my reviews). This is just a really well designed game that does almost everything well. I would have loved for a bit more creativity in the bosses and a bit more challenge throughout, but that's about my only complaint. If you are searching for a gorgeous beat em up that has both style and substance, than Wulverblade is just the game for you.

- Most of all, the story. Utterly simplistic and incredibly biased.Felt to me as if it was the work of a ultra nationalist 15 year old.
I have bought this game for cheap during a sale. The gameplay turned out to be just mashing the attack-button. The game feels stiff and is repetitive. The game also has a dull look, like the colors don't have any dept.
There are much better brawlers out there.
Ich verstehe nicht warum jedes Indie-Game es schafft, dass in dem Finale unfaire Kämpfe stattfinden. Ich verstehe es einfach nicht. Was soll daran spaßig sein, einem Endgegner zu begegnen, der 3,5 Mio. Schläge aushält, gleichzeitig durch Harpunen verfolgt zu werden, die einen trotz Ausweichen treffen und zusätzlich noch durch penetranten Pfeilregen getroffen zu werden.
Zudem sind spielübergreifend die Checkpoints teilweise viel zu rar verteilt und unblockbare Angriffe sind nie amüsant. Schade, denn der Art-Style und die Geschichte sind fantastisch!
Es kann gerne schwierig sein, aber warum denn immer dieser RNG-Müll der zum Frustrationsdebakel ausartet...
Sobre o Wulverblade.
É um otimo jogo, lembra em muito Viking Squad, neste game estamos do lado dos Wulver, ou no caso, do Bretões.
O jogo se passa durante a ocupação dos romanos na Bretanha por volta de 128 A.D, neste periodo aonde foi construida a famosa Muralha de Adriano, separando o norte selvagem dominado por tribos celtas do sul aonde as tribos ja haviam sido subjulgadas pelos romanos.
Gameplay:
O jogo é bem basico e conta com ataques rapidos fracos e fortes, esquiva, corrida e defesa, embora a mecanica seja meio travada com o tempo é possivel se acostumar ao estilo de jogo.
Ele é bem desenhado e não foi observado nenhum bug. O jogo em si é muito dificil, e o ideal é iniciar no modo fácil até se acostumar com os comandos.
Ele pode ser jogado em coop local ou remote play para no máximo 2 pessoas.
É altamente recomendado o uso de controle para este game, pois, toda sua mecanica foi feita para ser jogado em um controle, porém, é possivel jogar no mouse e teclado sem problemas, somente será bem mais dificl a movimentação.
Musica / Extras
A trilha sonora é um ponto muito positivo, ela é muito boa e consegue transmitir os momentos de batalha muito bem, os extras são excelentes, foi feita uma grande pesquisa sobre as tribos do norte da Inglaterra, bem como as lendas Wulves, e é isto que compões os extras, além de fotos reais, videos sobre as localizações que aparecem durante a campanha do jogo, desenhos e esboços do desenvolvimento do game, além de histórias, relatos de historiadores e copias de cartas de Centuriões, e outros lideres do exercito romano para suas famílias que estavam em Roma, o conteúdo das cartas fala sobre o dia a dia vivendo na Bretanha, além do medo do desconhecido, do clima hostil e das lendas que fazem daquele local um mistério para os romanos da epoca.
Resumindo é um jogo curto e bom de jogar, divertido e muito desafiador.
Além da história ser muito boa, como falei, os extras são um ponto muito forte, e vale muito ler cada documento encontrado no jogo.
Detalhe ele não possue legendas ou traduções ao português.

Als Pikte aus den heutigen schottischen Higlands kämpfen wir uns gen Süden vor um die römische 9. Legion zurückzuschlagen.
Mal davon abgesehen, dass ich viel lieber einen römischen Legionär der 9. Legion spielen würde der sich nach Norden vorkämpft.. ist das Spiel wirklich sehr cool und mit markigen Sprüchen auch amüsant.

Неплохой beat em up, который тащит в основном сеттингом и визуалом. Сюжет традиционно для галочки, типов ударов не то чтобы много, ближе к концу игры врагов становится так много, что начинается просто каша из анимаций и спецэффектов. Длись игра на пару часов дольше, успела бы утомить, а так пойдет.
Wulverblade is an arcade style beat em up in the same vein as Golden Ace or Streets of rage. What mades Wulverblade stand out amung these games though is that Wuverblade is a much more Mature rated game. The Game is set in the period of the battle between the Britanian Tribes and The 9th Roman Legion. One thing that i really enjoyed about this game was the Art style as well it has a very water painting/pastel look to it snf I really enjoy when devs use this kind of art style. As far as gameply goes if your looking for a fun arcade brawler that will invoke old memories while still having a unique art style this game is not one to pass up
It is a nice game, but too short. I played all the 8 level campaign in less than 4 hours. It is the shortest game I played. The full price it is not ok. If you purchase this game at maximum 4 euros, you could have fun, but paying more than 4 euros it is now worth since after a couple of levels you can see that enemies are repeating.
I love the historical part and the gameplay.

Минуса:
- Лично мне не нравится как нарисовано [не люблю эти голливудские векторные оскалы]
- Техника анимации ["перекладки" не очень подходят для яростного экшона]
- Коротка [кольчужка]
- Нет перевода [дети останутся без просвещения]
- Оборотни в юбочках [оборотней объясняют фольклором, а с юбочками непонятно]
Плюса:
- Атмосфэра [гнетущая]
- Пейзажи [хороши]
- Музыка [хороша]
- Кровожадность [можно швырять отрубаными руками и головёшками - крайне весело!]

Игра очень похожа на серию игр Golden Axe (Золотой топор) на игровой консоли Sega Mega Drive-2 / Genesis только в современной графике, очень красивыми задниками и анимацией. Рекомендую всем любителям игры Golden Axe, а так же всем любителям игр вроде Streets of rage или Final Fight. Внимание! в игре присутствует много крови, расчлененка и насилие!

로만 브리튼 시절을 배경으로 한 비뎀업 액션 게임입니다.
게임의 그래픽은 깔끔한 편이고, 스토리가 전체적으로 봐서는 단순하지만
게임을 진행해 감에 따라 게임의 배경에 대한 읽을 거리와 동영상을 제공하는 등
구성은 상당히 풍족한 편이며 각각의 이벤트의 연출 같은 경우는 꽤나 훌륭한 부분이었습니다.
아쉽다면 한국어를 지원하지 않아서 이 모든 내용을 이해하기에 언어의 장벽이 있습니다.
액션 게임적인 부분에서는 일단 각 맵의 구성이라든지 적의 구성 같은 부분, 캐릭터 모션 같은
정도는 괜찮은 부분이었지만, 조작감이나 타격감이 좋지 않았으며,
판정처리가 썩 그리 만족스럽지 않았습니다.
게임의 볼륨적인 측면에서는 위에 적혀 있듯이 8스테이지 구성인데,
단순 클리어만 목표로 잡았을 경우는 매우 적은 볼륨이고
게임에서 맵은 엄청 넓어서 뭔가 만들다가 만듯한 느낌이 없잖아 있었습니다.
이 게임 역시 스팀의 요즘 인디게임과 마찬가지로 도전과제가 주 컨텐츠인데
3개의 캐릭터 모두로 스테이지를 반복하는 부분에서는 그나마 캐릭터들 각각의
개성이 있어서 나쁘지는 않았었지만
몇 몇 도전과제가 노가다로 시간을 굉장히 많이 잡아 먹는 편인데,
본편 자체가 너무 짧아서 이 점의 불만이 배로 다가올 수 밖에 없었습니다.
전체적인 평을 하자면 스토리와 기본적인 완성도는 괜찮은 편으로 한번 해볼만 한 게임이지만,
사람에 따라서는 플레이 타임 때문에 정가에 구매하기에는 조금 아까울 수 있겠습니다.

I found this game in a huge sale and the reviews were very positive so I bought it.
It is a nice looking beat 'em up game with lots of bloodsheds.
But after clearing the first stage, I was bored to death.
It requires Zero intelligence and an unbreakable tumb to just blindly smash 1 button throughout the stage.
I don't recommend this game and I hope this review stop you from buying a game just base on the visuals.

Buttons: jump, light attack, defend, heavy attack, rage, call wolves, dash, wasd.
You can perform: uppercut, knock back, roll/dash, double jump, ground slam, grapple, grapple attack, grapple throw, special attack.
Each character fells different: the girl can dash up down, high mobility move sets. The big guy can smash enemy on the ground. The shield guy has pretty fast knock back move.
Overall, it feels good. I like the design and the setting. Combat feels good. Not as addictive as SOR4. Not much replayable value.
Отличная игра, только очень короткая, сюжетка проходится меньше чем за три часа, играть лучше всего на геймпаде, оборотни это что то!!! К покупке рекомендую тем кто любит мясо!!!

Buen beat 'em up. De mecánicas algo simples, pero más simple era el Streets of Rage 2, y era un juegazo.

While Wulverblade does a great job in referencing forgotten classics (such as Golden Axe and the original Asterix & Obelix platformer) this isn't where its main strength lies.
Wulverblade is first and foremost a labour of love and you can see that in the attention the developers paid to the atmosphere, historical detail, and the delightful documentary-style intermezzos. This is what eventually makes the game highly replayable.
By the way, I recommend playing it with a friend (either in couch co-op or Remote Play Together). The characters have different strengths and personalities and combining them doubles the fun.
The only low points of this experience are the fact that the lore and history bits (otherwise welcome within the game) often interrupt the action and that not all levels have been cleared of bugs.
