Really enjoyed this one. The atmosphere on the space station is great, and the way the environment slowly changes keeps you constantly on edge. It’s a short experience, but the pacing works well and it manages to stay tense the whole time. The puzzles are simple but satisfying, and the retro sci-fi style fits the mood perfectly. Definitely a memorable little horror experience.

Acabo de terminar We Went Back y la verdad me dejó una buena impresión, aunque es un juego bastante corto.

El punto fuerte del juego es claramente la atmósfera. La estación lunar se siente muy bien lograda y el juego sabe generar tensión con cosas simples: luces, sonidos, pasillos vacíos y situaciones que rompen la lógica. Hay momentos donde volvés a una habitación y algo cambió, o pasan cosas que te hacen dudar de lo que viste hace unos segundos. Ese tipo de terror psicológico funciona muy bien.

Los puzzles son simples pero encajan bien con la idea del bucle temporal y no se vuelven frustrantes. Además, el juego no depende demasiado de jumpscares baratos, sino más bien de incomodarte y hacerte sentir que algo no está bien en la estación.

Lo negativo es que es bastante corto. En menos de una hora probablemente ya lo terminaste. También el lore queda medio abierto y depende bastante de la interpretación del jugador.

En general lo veo más como una experiencia de terror corta que como un juego largo, pero si te gustan los juegos de terror espacial o el terror psicológico, vale la pena jugarlo.

I just finished We Went Back and overall I had a good experience with it, even though it's a pretty short game.

The strongest part of the game is definitely the atmosphere. The lunar station feels well designed and the game creates tension with simple things: lighting, sound, empty corridors, and situations that break logic. Sometimes you return to a room and something has changed, or strange events make you question what you saw just a few seconds ago. That kind of psychological horror works really well.

The puzzles are simple but fit nicely with the time-loop concept and never become frustrating. The game also doesn’t rely too much on cheap jumpscares; instead it focuses more on making you feel uneasy and constantly suspicious of your surroundings.

The downside is that it's very short. Most players will probably finish it in under an hour. The lore is also somewhat vague and open to interpretation.

Overall, I see it more as a short horror experience rather than a full-length game, but if you enjoy space horror or psychological horror, it's definitely worth trying.

Hat schon eine dichte Atmosphäre mit gutem Sounddesign, aber an sich sinnlos. Man weiß nicht was das Spiel von einem will, die Hinweis-Items ergeben keinen Sinn, und die Lösung auch nicht. Als Grafik-Demo/-Kurs für die Devs sicher spaßig, aber als "Spieler" kann man die Stunde schon auch spaßiger verbringen.

Mano esse jogo me assustou bastante! eu joguei em live e eu me surpreendi mesmo com ele, vc roda uns bagulho repetitivo pra acahr tal coisa, mas confesso que no começo eu demorei pra entender, so depois de meia hora e duas mortes que entendi kkkk. So uma coisa que me chateou e que see clicar na tecla ENTER ele da fatal erro ai tive recomeçar do zero...Peço que resolvam isso se n for troll.

Не особо страшная хоррор бродилка, больше зацепила сама история. Что собственно произошло на космическом судне? Имеются свои догадки, не знаю насколько они соответствуют истине, но попробую описать. Главный герой - один из 4 членов экипажа (судя по количеству криокапсул) пребывает в очень длительном космическом путешествии. Все это время, нашего товарища, буллили другие члены экипажа, за его никчемность, слабость и бесполезность. А в условиях длительной изоляции в тесном помещении, вдали от своего дома, у героя начинает расшатываться психика, в конечном счете, она не выдерживает. Результат сей травмы только один - резня, которую устроил наш герой. Осознав совершенное, он заползает в криокапсулу и в его голове происходит щелчок, который стирает пережитый кошмарный опыт. Но в финале игры наш персонаж горько рыдает, ему не удалось забыть убийства, которые он совершил в состоянии эмоционального срыва. Неясно мне только одно. Что там за запороленной дверью?

In „We Went Back“ wacht man alleine auf einer scheinbar verlassenen Raumstation auf. Irgendetwas ist auf dieser Raumstation passiert, aber man weiß nicht so recht was. Schnell wird aber klar, dass man die Raumstation verlassen sollte. Der einzige Ausweg führt durch eine Eingangstür, die allerdings mit einem Sicherheitscode verschlossen ist. Es ist nun die Aufgabe diesen Sicherheitscode zu finden oder zumindest das was davon übrig ist.

[h1]Gameplay[/h1]
Das Spielprinzip von „We Went Back“ ist schnell erklärt. Man verbleibt das ganze Spiel über auf der verlassenen Raumstation, die ausschließlich aus einem langen kreisförmigen Gang mit einzelnen Räumen (z. B. Labor, Pflanzenzucht o. ä.) besteht. Das Spiel wird in der Egoperspektive gesteuert und mit Maus und Tastatur gespielt. Im Prinzip läuft man durch die einsamen Gänge und sucht Hinweise - Hinweise auf den Sicherheitscode, um aus der Raumstation zu entkommen. Dabei durchläuft man die Raumstation immer und immer wieder; wie in einem Loop; dabei ändern sich jedoch die Gänge und Räume. Es gibt weder Waffen, Kämpfe noch Fluchtszenen. Das Spiel treibt die Handlung durch die allgegenwärtige Unsicherheit und Bedrohung voran. „We Went Back“ hat mich von der Atmosphäre stark an „Alien: Isolation“ erinnert.

„We Went Back“ ist kein schwieriges Spiel. In „We Went Back“ geht es ausschließlich darum Hinweise zu finden. Tappt man lange im Dunkeln, nimmt das Spiel einen an die Hand.

[h1]Grafik[/h1]
Eines vorweg: Ich bin weder Grafikenthusiast noch habe ich viel Ahnung von Grafik und meine Maschine (Laptop) pfeift aus dem letzten Loch. Die Grafik ist für ein kostenloses Spiel wirklich sehr schön und gelungen. Sie fängt die bedrohliche Atmosphäre optimal ein. Hier wird viel mit Dunkelheit, Geräuschen, verrosteten Metallen und ähnliches gearbeitet, welches die Isolation und das Unbehagen optimal umrahmt.

[h1]Sound[/h1]
Der Sound in „We Went Back“ ist grandios. Ich habe mich ständig beobachtet und verfolgt gefühlt. Ich musste mich ständig vergewissern, dass mich nicht irgendein Wesen verfolgt und habe stets nach hinten geguckt. „We Went Back“ arbeitet mit verschiedenen Geräuschkulissen z. B. Brummen der Raumstation, metallisches Knacken, Schreie, undefinierbare und ferne Geräusche.

„We Went Back“ ist ein kurzer, gruseliger Walking-Simulator, der mich atmosphärisch stark an „Alien: Isolation“ erinnert hat. Das Spiel arbeitet mit Unsicherheiten, dem Gefühl des „Verfolgtwerdens“ und einzelnen Jumpscares. Grafik und Sound harmonieren optimal miteinander und unterstreichen die Atmosphäre. Die Story wird bedauerlicherweise nie wirklich aufgeklärt, was auch eine Stärke sein kann. Ich habe mir permanent in die Hose geschissen vor Angst.

Well, that was a game. I guess it succeeds as a horror experience. Ambiance is creepy and that alien jumpscare at the end gets you the first two times.

First it starts off slow, just exploring, introducing you to what you're supposed to be looking for to solve the puzzle. But that's where the game ends. I found one picture but I dont know how I get the letter for it for the password. Then I get in long hall of plants thats just the room copied and pasted cause the disembodied hand is in the same spot and I eventually find the door only to find I cant progress cause the alien materializes through the ceiling and kills me over and over. I cant find anything to interact with besides the hands, I cant go backwards and I cant run away from the alien. It's just walk and then go through a door and die over and over. It stopped being scary after dying the first two times then it just gets old. I spammed the E key hoping to find something to interact with. Nothing. The game explains nothing. So I just keep dying over and over in the exact same way. A game can be scary or difficult the one thing I ask that a horror game doesnt do is be annoying and overly complicated.

Why is there no instructions? Why does nothing indicate what im supposed to do? How am I supposed to escape this death loop? There's NOTHING. How is this game meant to be thirty to fifty minutes long when all you do is die over and over? No credits? No explainations?

Game got boring and obnoxious really fast. There's no game here. Just a walking horror simulator that jumpscares you at what I suppose is the end? The game gets points for its creepy ambiance in the beginning and the alien is a good jumpscare but after the first two times it just got annoying. Mainly due to there being no explaination on what im supposed to do in this situation. Points for horror, loses ALOT of points for lack of instructions. At least HINT at what the player is supposed to do. Otherwise all we can do is keep walking into the same room and dying in the same spot.

Not the best puzzle or horror game I ever played. Not exactly the worst. There's something here but I can't play if you keep killing me in the same spot with no tip on how to avoid it.

But hey at least it's free and didn't waste money on it, otherwise i'd be angry for spending money on a game with an abrupt ending

I give it 2/10. Would recommend if you want a little scare but not much of a game here. There's more walking than puzzle solving in this "puzzle game". You do more dying than actual gameplay..

I'd suggest a hint system, something that gives you tips if you die or SOMETHING! Better than throwing us to the wolves with no tips on what you're supposed to be doing. Cause walking to my repetitive death gets old really fast

I kinda feel like a rat in a maze in this game, or maybe a hamster on it's wheel, but it was still freaky fun.

in the game, you repeatedly run around inside an underground station on the moon. You must figure out a code, one clue is revealed on each "once around the ring" run. You take pictures, get some jump scares... I don't think you actually die, but ...

Great graphics.... my first run through I just kept wandering (in the same direction) around and looking at things which had changed in the loop. I got most achievements on the first run, but played a few more times to achievements and just to "speed-run" through.

If you don't mind free, scary space games, with jump scares, I'd give this one a try.

Game is actually good. It's short, it would take you maximum 1 hour to complete. Not that many jumpscares and you have to remember everything for the puzzle. Didn't understand the story that good, but overall it's a solid game for free! :D

Great cosmic horror-ish environment, was pretty scary. Gameplay wise, instead of puzzle, I'd say this is more of "spot the difference". Once you figure it out, the game is actually very short and simple. Not much replayability unfortunately, but I'd still say it's worth the first playthrough. Try it :3

Ein echt schöner, kurzer Horror-Walking-Sim. Die Atmospäre in der Raumstation konnte man schneiden. Die Jumpscares waren okay, aber nichts, was einen zu hart schockt. Die 100% in diesem Spiel sind locker in ca. 1 h schaffbar.

Würde ich Geld dafür bezahlen? Nö. Hatte ich trotzdem Spaß mit diesem kostenlosen Game Auf jeden Fall.
