Игра выглядит очень прикольно, у нее замечательный ненавязчивый саундтрек. Мне понравилась идея с растениями и тем, как они меняются с течением циклов. Я нечастый гость в метроидваниях, и это показалось необычным решением.
Интересное дерево прокачки и вообще способ прокачки с поеданием частей противников. Но есть ощущение, что игра сама себя закрыла в клетку, добавив механику рогалика. В какой-то момент переигрывать становится совсем не весело. Или это я в очередной раз убедился, что жанр не мой. В конечном итоге мне стало скучно. Возможно игре просто стоило быть немного короче, но после этих эмоций рекомендовать ее кому-то не очень хочется.

Ultros is a really charming, psychedelic and in some ways, meditative metroidvania.

You will be running around a space station, looking for a way out. That's all I'll say about the story as any more details would really spoil it.

The gameplay is smooth - attacks feel great and movement is fluid. Great emphasis has been put on the ability to plant (and later replant) trees and other vegetation that will help you move around in the world. It's a really novel concept that I haven't really seen done in any other game.

The visuals and the music is what make this game honestly. All the environments are absolutely stunning and a treat to discover when first going through them.

I will say though, that trying to get the "true" ending will be a completely different game from what you play in the first(ish) half of Ultros. Running around and gardening will become the main activity and will take a significant amount of time and brain power to figure out. Personally, I did not have the patience for it, but I can see people liking it as almost a meditative, cozy type of activity.

Ultros is really solid and if you're either not a completionist or don't mind some more relaxed gameplay in your metroidvanias I highly recommend it!

I think I worked out why all the negative reviews on this game. It's a game which apparently later on encourages not killing. Now, I just started this and I'm already looking forward to that. The world is not presented as a series of enemies. It's a psychedelic world with It's own life force and mysteries. The combat is chunky and enjoyable in fact, but I'm actually more taken with the personality of the whole thing.

I find that in the real world, people who see everything as antagonistic, take it personally when you suggest that actually maybe things can work together, that maybe for a change they can trust something outside themselves to not attack them.

There's a cohort of gamers that seem very much of this mindset and if you're one of them, please see this game as like the way LSD is now being used to treat PTSD. It's supposed to be It's own thing.

I really wanted to like this game, but I kept finding myself frustrated when playing it. For me personally I really didn't care for the looping element in this game. I felt it added no benefit to the overall gameplay and just annoyed me every time I lost my whole inventory to the point where I actively tried to avoid the middle where you were forced to reset. Another big annoyance I had was the wall jumping in this game was very poorly designed and left me frustrated on many occasions. Overall I'd give this a game 7.1/10.

Mon Game-Of-The-Year de 2026 !! Et j'ai fait Ultros en février donc le reste de l'année va être difficile.
Je trouve que le caractériser de Metroidvania ne lui rend pas suffisamment hommage, car c'est certes un très bon métroidvania, mais aussi un très bon jeu à boucle temporelle et avec un ensemble de mécanique très intéressante.

Je me suis fais surprendre plusieurs fois par la profondeur d'Ultros, et parce que les développeurs m'emmenaient souvent plus loin que je l'avais pensé à la phase où j'en étais dans le jeu.
Ils nous sorte un autre jouet artisanal de très bonne facture du coffre, et nous pousse à réfléchir le level design différemment, à voir les monstres différemment, etc

Je recommande, pour tous les joueurs curieux et ouvert d'esprit. Il faut tout de même adhérer à cet univers onirique qui nous est très peu expliqué ou par un jargon qu'on recollera progressivement !

Been playing metrovanias before I even know the concept/genre of said games and this is THE most memorable one. The messenger influenced me years ago and this title is a beautiful diamond dusted off. The music and vibrant colors, down to the vague dialogue from each character you meet. Excited for more titles like this one.

强制多周目初始化角色能力回到起始点的机制很特别，每次可以消灭一个BOSS多推进一小块区域，类似ROULIKE游戏，但对银河城来说绝对是负反馈，相当于前期地图得重复跑7、8遍。

每个周目不建议去绕路获取全部探图技能，可以拿了最基本的攻击和二段跳直奔新区域，到达新区域BOSS需要的新能力一般在必经之路上，所以本质上前期体验更像一个线性游戏。

跨轮回BOSS不会复活，唯一的收集物是可以锁定保留技能的道具，但仅限角色本体吃食物升级获取的战斗技能，不包括二段跳、飞行这些探图技能。种植有提供食物升级和在特定地点制造道路两种效果，植物有多重种类，效果会延续一个轮回。

战斗手感不算好，配色大红大紫亮瞎眼睛，有一定几率出现角色不动卡死，可以选择从最近的存档点开始。不给差评是考虑到STEAMPY低价KEY（5元）的性价比。

Listen, if you're looking for great and engaging combat it ain't going to tickle that itch, Silksong combat it is not, but overall as a whole I've gotta say it's a good time. With the game's structure I would even count the combat being fairly easy and repetitive as a plus, given that with the game's structure you would be fighting a lot of very difficult encounters multiple times if this *was* Silksong's combat and boss design, and moreso by the time you might want to start just running past enemies all the time, you might also be at the point that not fighting is often beneficial. At its core, this very much feels like a game about gardening that happens to also be a metroidvania and you know what, if you let it be that and bask in the art it's a pretty damn great game.

What an amazing game this is, I came into it with 0 expectations and had my mind absolutely blown. It is not what it looks like, and I love it for it. There is a lot that can be said about this game but I honestly don't want to spoil anything so go in as blind as possible.

There is a lot of weird stuff going on and the game is incredibly moist, if that makes sense, everything is gorey and visceral and goeey and there is liquds and goos all around and it's very muscus and shroomy.

Definitely recommend everyone tries this it's an actual hidden gem. I love everything about it, even the weird jank in some places and tedious parts.

Ultros features a beautifully trippy art style, with colors that pop off the screen. It’s a slower-paced metroidvania that prioritizes exploration and puzzles, with combat largely taking a backseat. Bosses are fine they look cool but again combat isn’t great but you can take a passive route if you can work it out which I only managed on one boss.

For much of my experience, I was left piecing things together in a confusing way. There’s also a loop mechanic similar to Returnal, but with the added benefit of retaining certain attributes between runs, making it easier to regain your abilities each time.

The seed-planting mechanic is fun and intriguing at first, though it can become frustrating later on. Some of the extractor abilities also introduce a bit of jank, which can disrupt the flow. That said, I still enjoyed my time overall, especially the interactions with NPCs and the world itself. It’s a shame the game isn’t voiced, and the story can be difficult to follow, often feeling buried beneath layers of obscurity which is a shame.

Overall, it’s an interesting puzzle-focused metroidvania with a striking art style, but its frustrating and occasionally clunky mechanics mean it won’t appeal to everyone. I still found it worthwhile.

Very beautiful game, extremely psychedelic- both in art and in messaging, "The vibe you bring is the vibe you'll receive in turn," type stuff, y'know?

I had a great time with the cycle mechanics, but I can see the perceived set backs not being for everyone, no matter how brief lol. This is more of an exploratory type game, rather than a combat type game. It's like the whole map is a puzzle for you to figure out rather than just a few sections within it. The bosses are rather easy (plus you can completely skip them with some set up) and I find the player-characters attacks slightly unresponsive, but not really a problem enjoyability-wise for me. Great music! Overall good time :)

I feel a lot of people are unfair in these negative reviews.
One complaint I see quite often is a complaint about the keyboard controls, but like. Since when have Metroidvania style games EVER had good keyboard controls when they are usually made with a controller in mind??

Another complaint I see is with the time loop mechanic but I don’t mind it. Personally, I very much appreciate that the game tries something new.

I wanted to give this game a fair shake, but I really can't recommend it with how easy it is to encounter a totally save-breaking bug. When moving through a loading area, if the player doubles back and heads the other way, it can cause you to enter a state where most of the game objects are unloaded and it becomes impossible to progress. Exiting and reloading does not fix this, restarting the current cycle does not fix this, even loading PREVIOUS cycles will not resolve the issue. The only way to fix it is to restart the game from scratch -- I was lucky enough to only be about an hour into the game at this point, but this would be crushing if it was something that happened much later in your playthrough. I encountered this issue half a year ago, and made a forum post about it (I'm not the only one), hoping to see it resolved, but there's been no patch notes to suggest as such. I'm not gonna gamble my time on never backtracking too quickly, or trust that this issue was patched without any direct communication on it. I'll change my review if this gets fixed, but after the better part of a year I'm not feeling hopeful, and I figure people ought to know in the meantime so they can at least avoid triggering this issue if they do decide to play.

This game looks nice, sounds nice, but plays horribly. It's a maze, and not in the way that it's solvable, but it's overly confusing and wastes your time. Attempting to get help on the internet leads you to spoil whatever story there actually is. I saw that El Huervo made the art for the game, so that's why I wanted to play it in the first place. I gave it a decent shot, but after this many hours wasted, it's really not worth it. The controls on keyboard are also pretty bad.

Such a waste of talent.
Visual and sound talent that was employed on this game is in stark contrast to "talent" that was working on game mechanics and gameplay.
Beautiful game that has one of the worst gameplay in ANY metroidvania.
Game introduced deliberate way to kill enemies to get most out of the loot and then mid game promotes not killing anything because you are punished by killing enemies.
In mid game even if you decide to kill enemies they don't drop anything significant.
Entire mid and late game there's nothing to do but to play useless planting crop game.
What a stupid premise.
Just a basic combat into mid and late game could make this game above average due to impresive visual identity.
But here after few hours there's nothing to do.
No combat challenges, no platforming challenges.
Game tries to be "puzzle" metroidvania but there's nothing to discover here. Just boring plants growing to open new paths to get you where exactly?
To more boring plant growing loop.

If you play metroidvania for platforming, combat or exploration avoid this one.

抛开让人眼瞎的画面美术和堪称魔怔的完美击杀要求只看地图和流程设计，整个游戏完全就像是在玩一个每隔5分钟都在给你灌输新设定但又不直接告诉你的剧本杀游戏一样，工作人员给你安排好了一切的道路和玩法，不断地催促你“快进行下一步，没事的，我们都设计好了”，对，诚然，游戏设计得十分恰当，不故意犟跟着指引和第一直觉走下去就能推进进程，不太容易卡关，但这样的节奏让你完全没有机会和时间去品味当下你正在体验的东西和制作组的巧思的时候，思路又完全跟不上游戏内容的转变，那又何来感悟和正反馈呢

El juego se ve increible, pero el sistema de perder tus mejoras y el sistema de plantar semillas son un cáncer extremadamente confuso, son sistemas tan malos que terminan haciendole daño al resto del juego a tal punto que te arruina la experiencia. Triste porque realmente se ve espectacular y las pocas veces que tenía varias habilidades el combate no era malo hasta que me las quitaban.

Ziemlich abgedrehte Grafik, toller Sound und einwandfreie Steuerung.

Da schwebt also dieses komische Gebilde im Raum herum, Sarkophag genannt, und wir wachen da drinnen auf. Was machen wir hier, wie kommen wir hier weg? Das müssen wir dann im Laufe des Spiels herausfinden. Die Grafik ist mal wirklich was anderes, es wirkt ein wenig, als hätte man sich beim Pilzesammeln vergriffen und muss jetzt mit den Auswirkungen klarkommen. Der Sound klingt aber richtig gut, unser Kurzschwert schnalzt schön durch die Gegend und auch die Musik untermalt das Ganze recht nett. Die Steuerung reagiert prompt (Controller) und funktioniert gut. Die psychedelische Grafik ist manchmal etwas verwirrend, wenn man sich die Frage stellt, ob das Gebilde da vorn jetzt ein Gegner ist oder zum Hintergrund gehört. Die Texte sind alle in Deutsch, eine Sprachausgabe gibt es nicht, vermisst man aber auch nicht. Ein Metroidvania-Plattformer mit dem man richtig Spaß haben kann.

Bastante compleja, al igual que en varios souls, al no tener un hilo narrativo claro, puedes perderte el sobre de que trata la historia, es importante poner atención a los detalles de las memorias que vas encontrando, sumado a la forma de su escritura que puede ser muy rimbombante/extravagante.

La forma de combate no es complicada, es simple pero esta bien, lo interesante del juego en realidad está en el uso y resolución de las mecánicas de jardinero, aprender a utilizar las plantas, semillas, frutos y demás, es lo entretenido, pronto querrás ver que tanto crece tu plantio, o si es mejor quitarlo para colocar otra semilla que funcione mejor.

Ce jeu semble avoir été destiné à une galerie d'art contemporain.
La DA est ultra chiadée et franchement innovante, la musique aussi, l'atmosphère s'en ressent.
Mais le gameplay est vraiment anecdotique par contraste. Et c'est vraiment dommage car les principaux concepts sont assez intrigants. En fait, je ne suis à vrai dire pas encore fixé sur mon jugement à propos de ce jeu, mais il est tellement dur de m'y remettre que je poste cette éval quand même.
Le concept qui préside au design semble assez évident : vous prenez une map à la métroid et la faites évoluer selon des principes organiques grâce à des boucles temporelles. Je comprends l'idée d'avoir été inspiré par le format metroid, mais quelque chose ne prend pas : l'excitation pour l'exploration ne prend pas, car elle est contrariée par le sentiment de précarité qui accompagne toutes les actions. Je m'explique : vous savez que vous devez donner une forme particulière à la station à l'aide des graines mais tout relève d'abord du "test", c'est cryptique dans la narration mais aussi dans la lecture de l'environnement. On comprend petit à petit mais il faut des heures de promenade sans goût dans la station pour rectifier certains choix.

L'histoire est une sorte de soupe pseudo-métaphysique qui ne mérite même pas de commentaire. Arrêtez svp de faire des choses pareilles.

Et bien sûr le principal défaut d'avoir voulu singer metroid : il fallait penser au gameplay. Le gameplay de plateforme est ultra raide et ne fait pas envie, et les combats sont juste ennuyeux et frustrants : le fait de devoir varier les types d'attaque semble même être implémenté comme pour corriger la platitude absolue des combats.

Non vraiment, en commençant à écrire je me disais que je voulais continuer à comprendre le système de mycellium et du réseau vivant, qui est à mon sens le seul intérêt de ce jeu, mais en écrivant je me suis souvenu l'ennui mortel qui consiste à jouer à ce jeu et... bon... Non finalement.

Very interesting game. If you look for sometging new and you like planting plants and you're tired of non stop fighting - It's game definietly for you. You need more to use your head than swinging sword :)

Wholly unique within the very saturated metroidvania genre and highly worth playing for any fans of that genre.

制作组拼尽全力做的美术而对玩家来说如此高饱和色彩和复杂的背景对眼睛这把高端局。
这游戏成就达成都那么少其实也不冤，劝退点可以说从头到尾。
开局最大的劝退点就是轮回设定，这一点几乎把前期的正反馈都吃了，很打击还不理解核心玩法玩家的游戏体验。虽然说引导都在对话里，但也是谜语里面找提示，有几个人能认真看并理解这些角色对话了？这游戏在简中平台我都没找到一个比较完整的攻略视频。
后期知道种地这个核心玩法后才是真苦痛的开始，因为轮回设定打开的地图如果没有植物去顶开，下一个轮回又会堵上，有的地方为了连网线至少要轮回两次，我最不能理解的是存档点间传送都要和连网线绑定，强行拉长游戏时间消磨玩家耐心。游戏很慢热，即使收集了所有能力，甚至达成真结局条件也不过是种地这个核心的教学关，想全收集就有的玩了。
这游戏即使用手柄手感也是食屎级的，而微操的地方还不少。怪的ai也很迷，说的就是骨猎手真的蠢得我难受，要不是为了开垦荒地谁要喂这个疯狗蠢比。
这游戏想把银河城和种地结合，却很微妙的把两个游戏类型受众的毒点结合了，就跟小肌鱼一样奥特罗斯会选择它的玩家（shouhaizhe）
游戏的可玩性上限还是挺高的，适合喜欢种地探索解密且耐心的玩家。

- Меток на карте нет, для метроидвании это огромный жирный минус, может потом откроются, но когда это потом ещё будет.
- то что игра "цветастая" это по скринам понятно, но надеялся что играть не помешает, но увы, весьма некомфортно
- из-за кучи "визуального мусора" на экране выпадающий с мобов лут плохо видно
- постоянные блокирующие UI сообщения в стиле "о, вы выбили из моба новые кишки, вот вам их блокирующее обязательное жизнеописание, которое надо скролить" или "чтобы ударить нажми удар" и "чтобы уклониться нажми уклониться" посреди первого боя !!!
- загрузки, загрузки, загрузки... я хз, может это вина стимдека, хотя в других играх такого не встречал, но между каждой комнатушкой несколько секунд загрузки. А комнатушки маленькие, пробегаются за несколько секунд, вот и выходит что 10 секунд бежишь, 2 секунды грузишься, 5 секунд бежишь, смотришь несклько блокирующих диалогов, затем ещё 5 секунд бежишь и снова 2-3 секунды грузишься. I really wanted to like it, really. The colors and the drawings are wonderful, this aspect I really loved it, but the rest, well, I didn't understand anything: I don't know where to go or what to do and the texts are too much cryptics, it's just nonsense for me. Paradoxally after 6-7 hours in I feel I'm in a constant tutorial. There are some npc that explain you something, they pop somewhere while you're roaming here and there, but I didn't understand much from them. You also encounter them sporadically, while you turn around in circles passing 2-3 times in the same areas. I found all this frustrating.

Primera impresión: precioso, raro y ligeramente intimidante.

La propuesta se apoya en avanzar desbloqueando rutas, pelear, descubrir misterios y dejarte envolver por una ambientación atmosférica con arte dibujado a mano. Si vienes buscando plataformas precisas y progreso gratificante, aquí hay material. Si vienes buscando “claridad” y “normalidad”, te equivocaste de nave espacial.

También se siente como uno de esos juegos donde la comunidad es pequeña pero ruidosa: no lo está jugando medio planeta (20 jugadores actuales), pero sí tiene suficientes recomendaciones (650) como para decir “ok, aquí hay algo”, aunque no sea para todos los paladares.

Ultros es el típico juego que divide: a unos les parece una joya psicodélica con exploración deliciosa, y a otros un rompecabezas visual que se pasa de “artístico” a “confuso”. Yo caigo del lado exigente: cuando acierta, se siente inspirado; cuando se enreda, te dan ganas de pedirle al universo un minimapa con terapia.

¿Vale la pena? Si te gustan los metroidvania, la ciencia ficción rara y los mundos dibujados a mano con personalidad, sí. Si necesitas estructura clarita y una experiencia “sobria”, vas a salir discutiendo con la pared.

La comunidad actual es chiquita (20 jugadores), pero 650 recomendaciones no aparecen por accidente. Es un juego con carácter: no intenta gustarle a todos, y eso es exactamente lo que lo vuelve controversial… y bastante recomendable para el público correcto.

I was immediately captivated by the visuals. The art style is bold, surreal, and almost hallucinogenic intentionally disorienting in a way that initially feels striking, though at times it borders on being overwhelming. The art direction is easily the game’s strongest asset and does an excellent job of selling its strange, organic world. Unfortunately, that visual ambition isn’t matched by the game’s structure or gameplay flow. There are so many interesting ideas here, but instead of building on one another, they often collide and fracture the experience. Systems feel layered on top of each other rather than thoughtfully integrated, which results in pacing issues and frequent friction where there should be momentum.

The core concept of connecting a living network is genuinely compelling, and I wanted to fully invest in it. However, the gardening mechanics central to that idea lack the necessary quality of life features to remain engaging over the long term. Without better feedback, smoother progression, and clearer incentives, the mechanic starts to feel more like busywork than meaningful interaction. As a result, the sense of discovery and wonder gradually gives way to frustration. Repetition sets in, backtracking becomes more tedious than rewarding, and the game struggles to maintain the intrigue it initially establishes.

In the end, this feels like a case of strong vision undermined by uneven execution. With tighter design, better system cohesion, and improved quality of life support, this could have been a truly special and unique Metroidvania experience. Instead, it’s a game full of promise that ultimately leaves a sour taste, not because of what it is but because of what it so clearly could have been.

Insane game. A bit tedious at times, you only get fast travel really late into the game and the map can be confusing. BUT it's an extremely rewarding experience. The visuals are beautiful, the gameplay is good (eventhough the combat is not difficult at all, it scratches a nice itch at times), the music envolves you and the lore feels neverending, like a constant mystery you're set to uncover bit by bit. You can finish it in 10h or go the long way (good ending), either way it's cool, worth your time and money.

Edit:
10 hours after this review, I finished the "good" ending. Rarely have I had a more gratifying and beautiful experience in gaming. The art direction really is wonderful and they show it from the first second to the last. I sat watching the credits in silence, guided by the beautiful music score. Obviously, Moebius was presented as a big inspiration for the composition. Either way, insane experience altogether. Play this game. You won't regret it.

非常独特的类银河城，游戏以解谜为主，把轮回、种植等很多要素融合到了一起，个人比较推荐喜欢类银河城的玩家来体验的

游戏的美术很独特，初看可能会感觉是不是美术在创作的时候吃了菌子XD，但个人玩下来感觉是色彩很丰富，并且风格统一，在场景很多植物的情况下也很有美感

游戏最大的特点就是种植系统了，不仅和游戏的循环系统联系到了一起，而且围绕着种植系统有很多有趣的能力和地图的机制，比如时间回溯之后之前在地上种的植物会成长，给怪物喂食在下个循环生成一个种植点等等（其他机制就不剧透了）

在类银河城的方面，对于这个游戏来说，植物就是类银河城设计的“钥匙”零件，每个植物都有自己的特点：生长方式、果实、生成电线节点的方式都不同，再配合各种修剪植物的能力，就可以解开游戏里全部的锁。另一个游戏主要的解密就是接电线，而植物可以作为电线节点，直到连接整个游戏的地图

说完了特点再说一下个人体验下来不足的地方，首先战斗手感不是很好，其次引导较少，有的循环之后流程有一些差异会让人迷路。还有看其他评论被人诟病较多的这个循环设定，前面的每次循环都需要重新收集能力，但是实际体验下来，主角的能力只有两个：攻击和二段跳，其他能力全部继承到了二段跳上，当拿到了二段跳的同时就获得了其他全部的能力。所以每次循环收集能力只需要走一段路就可以了，并且其中的一次循环会开一条近路，会让路程变得更短

整个游戏就我个人体验下来，在第五-六次循环左右，逐渐理解了游戏的种植机制，并且解锁了“连接”机制之后，体验直线上升，这种动力差不多持续到游戏全成就。可以说如果对上电波还是很好玩的（

Ultimately I think this game is Neat, it's Interesting, it Has A Lot Of Ideas, and I don't know if that always translates over to "being really fun to play" - in a lot of way, it can be rather annoying, especially with the semi-randomness in the way a lot of plants grow, and really tedious to connect everything by the end, to a point where I kinda got bored of trying to do [i]everything[/i] after I finished the true ending, but. I'm glad I played it all the same - lots of style, it's certainly a game I've never played anything else like, and I ultimately enjoyed my time with it even if there was... more than a little frustration.

Whoever enjoyed backtracking in metroid was what inspired the developer of this game. You just beat the boss? A "New Cycle Begins." That means you get to go back to very start! And no teleportation! Lose your traversal skills momentarily until you walk back to the main hub. Regain all your abilities you spent farming and gathering! Make sure to collect nodes to avoid having to do this!
Why do this? Why remove abilities upon defeating a boss? No reason. Why make it so you can't teleport back to places you want to easily explore now that you got the traversal equipment you had to regain again? No reason.
I beat 3 bosses. I got irritated having to jump all over places I've previously been just trying to figure out wtf to go.
There is little to no direction. Backtracking in Metroid was optional to gather new items and such. Here? It's mandatory.

Solid metroidvania with an excellent, unique and extremely solid visual style and soundtrack that had me utterly enthralled. I had fun exploring the Sarcophagus, fighting the weird enemies, and planting gardens. It's not too difficult, but not braindead easy either, and combat feels good. It definitely seems like a good game.

Unfortunately, I did get softlocked. The first time I picked up the Digger Extractor, a Compost Map appeared. When I picked it up (which opened the door behind it) I glitched out of bounds. When I reloaded my save (and even the game) I could collect the Digger Extractor again, but the Compost Map counted as collected already, so I couldn't collect it again and make the door open. Because I saved at the bottom of a pit you can only escape after getting the Digger, I'm stuck.

Addendum: On my second save file I successfully got the Digger Extractor with no issue and got back to playing the game. I'm glad I did too, because this game really is quite remarkable. I'd go so far as to call it one-of-a-kind. The whole gardening aspect becomes more and more central to the gameplay as you progress, to the point where it becomes very interesting and integral to the plot. I appreciate the game being neither too long or too hard (wrangling urabara plants in gegga currents aside...) and it all wraps up into a fascinating experience. A definite recommendation.

跳起攻击，主菜单画风，某些音乐有银河战士的味；一开始有点劝退，画面太花哨（还好设置里能改），节奏较缓慢（两三个小时后还好），战斗不连贯（偏回合制习惯了还好），剧情偏谜语（耐着性子再看看）。特色是画风满独特，谜题有新意，神秘氛围足，单买15.6内入库还是可以的。侧重解谜，开放世界，所以弱化了战斗吧，战斗方面做的较差，战斗方面除开头目战基本没塞尔达银河战士恶魔城的味。还是搁置了，不仅好多地方要猜，看这游戏尿性，不看攻略估计是难全成就的，何况还有为数不少的隐藏成就，对自研党不友好。

特有规则或键位备忘：圆球太空舱处手动存档，继续即回到当前。敌人不能反复刷，每循环才能刷新。可双跳，若有相关道具；下+跳是下一层；上+x是上击，若种子放地面，可将其打向空中上方天花板（若能种植即可种植在天花板上）；跳起上+x是空腿若解锁技能，空腿在水中可达到类似游泳的效果，在空中配合双跳可跳更远更滞空。能种植的地面发光，地里有五彩斑斓的星光，种植和解谜相关，种植的效果要在下次循环时看；种植时可即刻获得食物，食物可回血或回太空舱当经验用；不同种子种植有不同效果，有的是变成平台可能可以触发某些机关或挤开障碍物，有的是种在天花板时当吊索摆荡或触发机关或挤开某些障碍物，有的是获得更多食物。投掷有两种，一种是教程里靠攻击发动的投掷，一种是技能树里解锁的lt按住的投掷；技能树的“绿手指”使用食物堆肥的效果好像需要lt按住的投掷。有可飞行的道具时，在黄色蘑菇处或黄色液体处充能以飞行。消耗什么什么能量，指的是不同颜色的经验。

Had this game recommended to me by a friend, and it honestly didn't disappoint. A lot of the bad reviews I see for this all have about 5-10 hours in, and I will admit, it did get slow during that time where with the first few time loops you feel like you are doomed to do the same thing 8-10 times. But if you stick it out, the game sort of explodes in what you need to do, and moves into a Metroidvania where you need to use plants, enemies, and spawn points to unlock the mysteries of the game, adding a huge puzzle element that I'm not sure I've seen before, especially given the multiple different ways the puzzles can be solved. I'm very glad I stuck it out in the later game.

This is a metroidvania where, as part of normal game progression, they make you play through the areas you have already beaten, after not only taking away all your earned "exp" based upgrades, but your movement and key abilities as well. This happens. Multiple times. Aside from just being obvious and shameless padding of a very short game, this is contradictory in its entirety to the notion of metroidvanias. you do not. strip. upgrades. in a metroidvania. It disrupts the entire flow. And unfortunately, the game is also easy and slow. So it's not particularly FUN to play through the same section at new-game snail-speed. This game killed its own premise, and I cannot recommend it to anyone except people who actually enjoy a game that is intentionally, obviously, and poorly designed to waste your time to disguise its lack of content.

Having played further, I have confirmed my suspicions. Taking away your upgrades is meaningless. You get (some) of them back within about ten minutes.
However. The rest? You have to grind for. It isn't a long grind, but I'm not even halfway and I've already spent around 45 minutes just retrieving upgrades....after only 3 loops or so. Maybe 4. I lost track.

Because they're all identical.

Combat is also quite bad. There are a variety of "moves" you can unlock, but the only reason is for better "variety" which is then rewarded with better drops, which you consume for more of the 4 exp resources. Combat is clunky, with a lack of input buffering for combos, enemies who simply attack through your hits, and enemies that are designed to be fought using specific moves...but then you are punished for using the move more than once...with fewer resources.

So the game takes away (some) of your upgrades, forcing to you grind enemy drops to get them back (or pick plants from trees, which even halfway, isn't a viable replacement, so...), many of these upgrades are pretty unwhelming and some even kinda bad, but you have to use them to get better resources, for more upgrades...

which are then taken away.

And if you were capable of fending off the ADHD demons with smelling salts for this entire thing, the end result is a game that makes you grind for the SAME upgrades, over and over, using the mediocre combat system, in the same areas, over and over, repeating the same areas, over and over, for very little progress,
This is the core gameplay loop.

在我看来体验仅次于空洞骑士系列的游戏。
优点：
1.美术风格不错，艺术
2.战斗手感还可以，斜下劈，总体来说不难
3.有解密，有趣
缺点：
1.跑图多，为了和剧情联动传送点少
2.多周目，每轮重新养成
3.解密难，一周目真结局几乎不可能，真结局条件又太苛刻，适合遛弯体验不适合收集

总的来说，不要求结局收集成就收集，大概10小时通关，体验还是不错的。饱受诟病的清空技能树有道具可以解决，稍微跑跑图传送点也够用，就是回头再看真结局和全收集简直地狱，非常理解博主的崩溃之情

Ultros foi uma grande decepção, nunca fui muito do gênero metroidvania porém após jogar Blasphemous comecei a pegar gosto pelo gênero. Ultros traz uma temática futurista e mistério espacial com criaturas diferentes, um tema sobre plantas e florestas, cores vibrantes chamam muito a atenção. E também uma mistura de metroidvania com rouguelike onde você sempre vai morrer e voltar do começo para assim ficar mais forte.
Descrevendo tudo isso parece tudo muito bom, porém o estilo de gameplay não me agradou, tudo é muito confuso e pouco explicado, combate muito travado e parecendo ser jogos antigos que você sempre faz os mesmo combos e apertando mesmo botões. Sua história não traz muito apego ou interesse, mas o que mais me incomodou foi os bugs, tive problemas de bugs com os controles, problemas do personagem travar em algumas partes, bugs com o salve. No final depois de muita insistência desisti do jogo e de seus inúmeros problemas.

Been wanting it for a while and finally got it on winter sale 2025, its quickly becoming one of my favorite metroidvanias and it has to have some of the coolest scifi world and art/ost in any game Ive played.

Ultros is a gorgeous and fantastic game that's a bit difficult to describe. It has a lot of metroidvania elements and a fascinating double-life between combat+exploration and pacifism+horticulture.

I confess that initially I was wary of the time loops when they started, but after a bit more exploration I stumbled upon a core mechanic of this game that dramatically alters everything. I don't want to spoil anything but this mechanic alone is incredibly fun and warps the game in an extremely enjoyable way, so if you do play Ultros, don't give up too early if you're not loving it at first! It is very much worth the wait.

I'm not entirely sure who to recommend Ultros to given how peculiar it is, but it's a superb and very underrated game, which I recommend to anyone who likes metroidvanias or finds the game's concept intriguing.

Ultros is a serviceable metroidvania with a lot of great ideas that don’t quite reach the heights they could. If you like great graphics and exploration, or innovative ideas this might be the game for you. If you are expecting tight combat and challenging platforming this might not be the one. Also bonus points for having the “sprinting” mechanic to reduce the pain of exploration and retracing your steps that are sometimes a pain point of games in this genre.

The graphics are gorgeous. The world and lore are very interesting and some of the mechanics are great. That being said i found some things were pretty fun at first, but slowly became tedious. The plant mechanic is one of the ideas i was mentioning earlier i found the idea that you almost turn the whole map into a garden really great but i found the process to create patches to plant them annoying considering how often you need to do it, this and getting the seeds was a process that i thought were great in concept but felt like a chore in the execution.

SPOILER ALERT

I almost quit the game because i was forced to battle bosses multiple times and while they were not difficult i also found it quite the bother. When i was connecting the last shaman in the pantheon of the stars i realized i had to do all that process again and proceeded to uninstall the game because i really disliked that part specially that you were forced to play the same minigame multiple times.

Cara, que jogo bonito! Praticamente toda sala vale a pena um screemshot rsrs

Achei o jogo bem divertido e teria interesse em zerar novamente no futuro, pois MUITA coisa interessante de gameplay você descobre ou vendo dicas no youtube ou, se fizer como eu, só vai descobrir ao final através da gameplay. Acho que uma segunda jogatina faria eu ter uma experiência totalmente diferente em termos de gameplay.

第一次破關後
可以自己隨時輪迴物品也不會消失了
每隻BOSS都有和平解決成就但是難度都不低
其實玩起來挺複雜的

В вишлисте эту игру категорически облизал, пофиг даже на скелетную анимацию, так уж мне нравятся эти токсичные цвета... и кто бы мог подумать!

Зашёл. Походил. Вышел. И больше не тянет.
