Incredibly boring puzzle game which can be finished UNDER ONE HOUR!!!!
There's no option to run or walk fast on purpose, just to bore you to death. The gameplay itself is non existent, you crawl through some halls or up and down stairs and flip lights or carry items up and down at a super slow pace. Since there is no pre-story or any 'hook', there's absolutely ZERO motivation to keep going through the ugly tiny levels.

my review is going to be based on why i wouldn't pay full price for the game i got it on sale for 5$ and well i don't think i would pay more than that for it.

first and foremost you MUST sign into ubisoft to play the game for the first time so if you think you can play it later without internet well you can't

the graphics for the VR are i would say decent not the best but have played worse and enjoyed them more because the main turn off to the game are the VR controls they are down right HORRABLE now i am using the PSVR2 but still this is the only game that i have ever had to click in the joysticks to move i've tried to change it in the settings but was unable to change how i move having to push in on the joystick then foreword to more foreword is just lackluster IMO kills the fun that could be had

Dieses Spiel hat mich echt zum gruseln gebracht. Die ganzen Soundeffekte und das beklemmende in den 4 Wänden ist echt gruselig genug für mich gewesen. Das Spiel ist kompatibel mit VR und ich muss ehrlich sein, dass ich mich mehr als nur am Bildschirm eingeschissen hätte. Alles in allen ich liebe dieses Game und für den kleinen psycho Horror gerne zum weiter empfehlen

Great game! I played in VR. Ran great. The graphics are great! The story and atmosphere is a bit mind bending. With the effects and voices it was trippy and freaky. Kept me wanting to play and figure it all out. The walking was a bit tedious. Didn't want to move forward correctly for some reason every now and then. Had a few real good scares too!

It doesn't support VR at all. When I launched it in VR mode it didn't work with my Valve Index. None of the controls were working which was a bummer as I'm always looking for VR horror games. I did enjoy the game though. It was creepy. It was an interesting story. It was a nice and quick game that didn't get boring.

A solid psychological horror, utilising good use of audio files and live action video for exposition. It taps into the subconscious really well, and reminded me of an old-school cult horror movie. Gameplay-wise i found myself really missing a "run" option to begin with, but after an hour it wasn't an issue. Ability to rebind keys is always a plus for me in games, so greatful for this having that option. Short game, but worth playing if you ever see it on sale. Probably not worth the full price unless you are a big fan of the horror genre like myself ❤️

It's ok...it's more like a neutral review. I honestly think in VR is better than non VR. Even though it is not a native VR title, the controls work quite well (Quest 3 + Virtual Desktop -> just get a controller binding that works in steamVR), the narration is cool, the creepy and confusing setting works better in VR than on screen.

It is a small story that leaves space to interpretation (maybe even too much) even if you collect all tapes. Worth a play if you run out of VR things to play and when the game goes on sale.

Ubisoft has some BULLSH*T "Login" and account creation requirements before you an even start and play the game. I made a mistake while creating a password and was LOCKED OUT. It said my account was suspended and I couldn't start the game. They also require too much personal information for a damn game developer, including DOB and your email address. Why the hell do they need your DOB? I felt hesitant to give them this info, and wish I hadn't. I was still unable to play the game, even after divulging the required info.

I did request a refund, and I'm still waiting for it, but I will never purchase another Ubisoft game. Be warned! I would stay away from this game dev.

As far as I'm concerned, this is not playable on a Steam Deck. You have to create a Ubisoft Connect account, log on twice, add an activation key (which I was never provided?), all leading to frustration. I would actively avoid this game as its launch process currently stands, which is unfortunate, as the game itself looks fun.

I can't really give much praise on the story seeing as how this is a story based game but I can say I did like it a lot, you learn the main pushing point for the characters and what exactly caused them to do what they did and it all feels natural and like something real people could do, as for the puzzles I think some of them could be better there was a couple of points where I felt like the clues I was being given didn't exactly show me what to do with what I had but I ended up figuring it out, ironically the hardest puzzle for me was the first one, it's a music based puzzle using as you can guess music notes and the minor and major setup that most music sheets have and that was about the only one that took some time to just look at figure out, the other parts that did annoy me a little was the insistence on using a light switch so often to navigate but nothing was really something that would say this game isn't worth the money it costs.

Total playtime to beat it is about an hour and a half and honestly I'd say just get it while it's on sale, Ubisoft isn't the most down to earth publisher for some people but I have been with them and their games for over a decade and I can firmly say as bad as some people paint them they don't deserve players tossing their games and refunding them because they were short enough to beat under 2 hours. We are all only able to do what we can and this game was a refreshing reminding ubisoft doesn't need to be backing some AAA game to still make something good.

Mas rapidamente percebe que a gameplay é extremamente limitada. A maior parte do tempo você só anda por corredores, interage com poucos objetos e resolve puzzles que não exigem nenhum esforço real. A história tenta parecer profunda, mas acaba sendo confusa e rasa, com personagens mal desenvolvidos e uma narrativa que não engaja de verdade. O jogo também é absurdamente curto. Pra um título que se vende como experiência cinematográfica e psicológica, ele entrega pouco em ambos os lados. Em VR, esperava algo mais imersivo e perturbador, mas até nisso o jogo falha. A interação com o ambiente é básica demais, e os sustos são previsíveis. Não há sensação real de perigo ou profundidade emocional — só uma tentativa estética de parecer mais complexo do que realmente é.

启动游戏时，你被强制观看 Ubisoft 和 Spectrevision 的动画标志，接着还有一张显示两者合作的画面，全部都无法跳过。戴着头显看这些真的很烦人。

同样令人恼火的是那些录像日志——我后来才发现它们是解谜的关键。所以我就坐在 VR 里看电视，而不是在真正玩游戏。

总体来说，游戏还不错，但如果你不想看视频，你会像迷路的孩子一样到处乱晃。恐怖氛围营造得很好，确实会让你起鸡皮疙瘩。

Je commence par le jeu dans son ensemble, un visuel très beau, très propre. Une ambiance très oppressante, très angoissante. Je ne savais pas trop à quoi m'attendre pour l'aspect "horreur psychologique", donc quelques jumpscares mais quand même bien utilisés (pas abusé et pas trop prévisibles). Un peu court mais si on garde à l'esprit que le projet se voulait entre le jeu d'énigme et un film, c'est acceptable. En gros c'est un film interactif qui propose des énigmes tout d'même très simples pour "débloquer" des informations pour avoir une fin plus ou moins éclairée. Je donnerais donc un 6-7 sur 10.

Beaucoup de gens on critiqué Ubisoft Connect qui soit disant empêche le fonctionnement du jeu, perso je n'ai eu aucun souci mais bon je me passerais tout d'même de tel système car en partant si vous n'avez pas accès à internet pour une raison ou une autre vous êtes b*isé lol..

Pour les contrôles, c'est effectivement assez mal branlé mais si vous prenez une seconde pour choisir une autre configuration proposé tout roule.:)

Donc si vous avez le jeu en spécial, lancez vous, vous ne serez pas décu.:)

J'ajouterais que tout le long je n'ai pus m'empècher de trouver que l'acteur ressemblais beaucoup beaucoup au Youtubeur français Feldup haha:)

It's okay at what it does, really, but didn't incite much enthusiasm for me.

Relatively easy puzzles make the game more participative than a plain walking simulator, but is still relatively straightforward for the most part. Pick up items of no value, aside from the occasional required object to solve simple riddles and move the story forward.

A broken family confronts its inner demons as disturbing events are reconstructed through fragmented memories. Mom left her personal aspirations and career on indefinite hiatus to support her husband and son. Distraught dad consumed by his scientific research neglected his relationships and responsibilities to pursue a foolish experiment. Their child is confronted with conflicting sentiments between admiration and fear of his father.

Characters become increasingly deranged the more they are exposed. The narrative unfolds relatively convincingly but you can also tell pretty early on where this is going. They never show what's in the freezer, but you'll know what's in there...

There’s a reason for everything, it’s all thoughtfully put together, from the way the UI is presented down to every little narrative fragment. The game is especially adept at creating an unnerving, unsettling mood, though it also feels somewhat by the book in its approach.

Constant intentional glitches. Scribbles on the walls, doors are there one moment and lead to a dead end the next, whispers, flashing images, demonic apparitions. A few mild jump scares. Ghostly characters disappear around the corner. Small spaces, an inverted room. Turning in circles, looping sections. Light switches alternate realities.

Everything occurs within a very small world, mostly limited to the family apartment. Filmed scenes are adequate but also look like low budget productions. It all contributes to a sense of unquestionably small scale, which ultimately works perfectly with the narrative's conclusion.

Just with the lights down and a good headset the game is immersive AF. I played straight to the End and will need to play again! Definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys immersive escape rooms. It has an interesting story with some good Easter eggs.

Only buy it on sale - it's not worth $25: it's only got about 90 min of content, and it's just not $25 quality. I got it for $5 and feel alright with that.
Otherwise, pretty fun, some good puzzles but also a couple really annoying ones. Mostly the annoyance came from running around not knowing what the game wanted me to do, since it doesn't really communicate with the player.
The concept and some implied story beats are creepy, but the game itself isn't particularly scary. You'll probably get jumpscared a few times. The last [spoiler]crystal[/spoiler] section was the scariest part, I wish it was longer/more of the game had that vibe. [spoiler]Knowing Laika was in the freezer freaked me out, though. Loved that.[/spoiler]
There were a few kinda tropey things going on in the story, which is generally a neutral thing, but it got on my nerves. [spoiler]For instance, creepy poems and nursery rhymes, brilliant-but-negligent dad, mentally ill mom who resents her family, magic science crystals that use science music to science you into the computer, etc. The creepy poems you see in every horror game; the family dynamics you see in every drama; the sci-fi babble you can get from idk Rick and Morty or something.[/spoiler]
Also, you cant run the game without the ubisoft launcher, which is ridiculous to me, especially because you have to download it separately. The game files has the download file in it, but still it just seems weird.

All in all, it's a fine game, it's just not recommendation-worthy. Maybe I'm coming from a bit of a jaded place (had the game on my wishlist for years because the description sounded interesting and the promo art looks very stylish. Didn't meet expectations.)

I played this in VR on a Quest 3 with the Touch controllers, and the controls just didn’t work when using either Virtual Desktop or Steam Link. However, through MetaQuest Air Link, the controllers functioned correctly, and I was able to play the game as intended. I also had no issues with uPlay, so as of early 2025, the game is very much playable with this setup.

Transference actually has a decent story that I enjoyed, told in multiple ways through audio logs, video logs (FMV), and various in-game events. I’ve always had a soft spot for FMV games ever since I played Under a Killing Moon back in the day, so it’s great to see modern games incorporating this style.

I think the graphics are quite good, and I often found myself just looking around and enjoying the scenery, though it might not meet everyone’s standards. The audio design deserves a special mention, as it’s fantastic! You hear voices all around you, with eerie sounds kicking in at just the right moments. The soundscape definitely elevates the game significantly.

The horror elements aren’t too intense, even for someone like me who generally avoids scary games, but there were definitely a few moments that really got me, and my heart rate spiked through the roof more than once!

I do wish the puzzles were a bit more intricate and prominent because, as it stands, it mostly feels like an interactive VR walking simulator. That said, I still had fun, and I ended up completing the game in one sitting, even though I hadn’t planned on playing that long. I was initially just trying to get the game to work correctly!

Recommended! 7/10.

Juegazo de este tipo thriller, terror psicológico una buena historia, no abusa de los sustos y los pocos que te pone están bien. Lo malo esta en los controles por lo menos para mi, la sensibilidad es muy baja y los botones son como raros y en cuanto al audio lastimosamente no hay voces en español por lo que o lees o ves lo que pasa en tu entorno. Pero del resto bastante disfrutable el juego.

Геймплей - Симулятор ходьбы и решения простеньких паззлов с элементами хоррора. По сути, все что необходимо делать - ходить по квартире и изучать ее, решая элементарные задачки, чтобы продвигаться по сюжету. Хоррор элемент в игре присутствует, по большей части, лишь в звуковом сопровождении и лишь изредка пугает полу-скримерами. Игра изобилует различного рода предметами, с которыми можно взаимодействовать, дабы больше погрузиться в мир игры и историю. Также главной фишкой игры является вид от 3х разных перспектив (разных членов семьи), между которыми можно переключаться во время игры посредством выключателей.

Аудио - Великолепный саунд дизайн и озвучка персонажей.

Графика - Потрясающая картинка, отлично передающая атмосферу и тон повествования. Исследовать квартиру и погружаться в происходящее крайне приятно.

Сюжет - Рассказывает о семье гениального ученого и созданного им изобретения. Подается с разных точек зрения всех членов семьи через геймплей и видео\аудиозаписи. Следить за ним и узнавать историю безумно интересно.

Из минусов:
1) Продолжительность. Игра весьма коротка, еще пару-тройку часов геймплея были бы ни чуть не лишними.
2) Очень простые паззлы.
3) Мало хоррор составляющей. Учитывая сюжет игры хотелось бы в некоторых местах добавить его побольше.

Итог - Отличная игра на пару часов, быстро погружающая в сюжет с головой и столь же стремительно оканчивающаяся.

Первый раз об этой игре я узнал из презентации на каком-то ивенте или конференции в 2018 году.
Игра представлялась как инновационный PS4 эксклюзивный VR-хорор-опыт, от студии, основанной Элайджа Вудом (тот самый Фродо из "Властелина колец").
И после выхода игры я купил диск с игрой, запустил её и...выключил спустя 15 минут после прохождения первой загадки.
Игра настолько меня не зацепила, что было даже удивительно: ничего по сюжету не объясняют, графика показалась посредственной, головоломки не интересные.

И вот спустя 6 лет я решил наконец-то пройти её и перенести в папочку "пройденное".
В этот раз проходил её на компьютере и не в VR (хотя такая возможность в steam'овской версии игры есть).
Иии...это наверное было моей самой главной ошибкой.
Проходя игру в обычном режиме, я, возможно, отнял у неё единственное ценное, что у неё было - атмосфера тех самых VR-развлечений на вечерок в компании друзей.
По результатам 2-х часового прохождения (на самом деле её можно пробежать и минут за 50), я могу смело сказать, что у игры истёк срок годности.
В неё надо было играть на выходе и в VR, так как в настоящий момент с большим опытом игры в хорошие ужастики и VR проекты это произведение выглядит на уровне абсолютно посредственной визуальной новеллы, которая изредка пытается в головоломки и ужасы.
Сюжет невразумителен, оставляет больше вопросов чем ответов (что вообще произошло, как взрослый мужчина и женщина допустили такое, почему всем был безразличен ребенок, чем все закончилось, какая мораль и т.д.). На мой взгляд сюжет прикрутили в последний момент, только ради для галочки, так как больше хотели сосредоточиться на атмосфере и геймплее.
Геймплей...ну скорее он отсутствует, чем присутствует хоть в каком-нибудь значимом количестве. По сути - мы идем по прямому коридору всю игру, заблудиться невозможно, проиграть тоже. Можно немного застрять на "решении загадок", но тут надо не забывать, что мы можем переключаться между реальностями при помощи выключателей света на стенах (и не только). Все что от нас требуют - поднять предмет и применить его в другом месте.
Элементы ужастика в игре присутствуют, но после первого скримера, тебя уже трудно напугать, хотя игра и пытается. (Хотя может проблема в том, что мне за 30 и меня пугает только ипотека на 30 лет =/).
Графика звезд с неба не хватает, но в настоящий момент она смотрится достойно - это не дешевые VR-подделки в steam'е собранные школьниками за выходные, а хорошо сделанная игра со своим стилем.
Дизайн локации, эффектов, анимаций - по всему видно, что игра сделана с душой, а не для того чтобы заработать денег.
Отдельно стоит упомянуть работу звукорежиссера - музыка, эффекты, озвучивание главных героев - это все на достойном уровне. Видно, что деньги потратили не зря.

В итоге - это достаточно пустая игра, в которой есть форма (графика, звук), но нет содержания.
Скорее всего это должно было быть первой пробой своих сил студии Элайджи - SpectreVision - в игровой индустрии, чтобы понять, стоит ли вообще этим заниматься.
Но не срослось, больше крупных игр они не выпустили (только одна игра для телефонов - JoinDispatch).
В целом, если у Вас есть VR и полтора часа свободного времени и Вам НЕЧЕМ заняться - пройдите её - это не ужасная игра, но вы вряд ли пройдете её еще раз.
Но такие игры нужны, потому что из них может появиться что-то более качественное интересное.
Недавно вышла Silent Hill: Short Messages, и вот она - точная копия этой игры, только красивее (в остальном - она такая же пустышка, с такими же недостатками).
Может быть, у следующего разработчика получится правильно реализовать такой формат игры.

Anyone wanting to play this game be warned: it installs the outdated Uplay. You'll need to manually install Ubisoft Connect, log in, and only then can you play via Steam. It's unacceptable that they're still shipping this with outdated software. This alone justifies a negative review. Story wise, it's like Soma. The setting is nice. Expect some jumpscares!

Un jeu Ubisoft, qui en plus de fermer régulièrement tous les serveurs de leurs jeux online, empêchent aussi l'activation des DLCs/Bonus OFFLINE pour les jeux solos...
& comme si cela ne suffisait pas, ils en profitent pour ''mettre à jour'' leurs anciens jeux en supprimant la moitié des fichiers précédemment installés, exit les fichiers du multi, exit les manuels & DLCs,, exit les fichiers sons des voix autres qu'anglaises, etc...
(exemple AC3..., sans parlé du pire The Crew, le futur des jeux live-service actuels entièrement supprimé & inaccessible...)
Ce n'est même plus du manque de support à ce niveau, c'est du sabotage & du foutage de gueule délibéré ! Un manque de respect absolu pour leur clients !
En plus de nous matraquer continuellement de pub pour leur service d'abonnement dans leur launcher moisi.
Jusqu'à preuve du contraire aucun autre éditeurs n'est jamais venu chez vous pour déchirer vos livres, cassé vos disques & vous laisser les couvertures...
Ubisoft l'a fait & il est français en plus ! Qu'elle fierté !!?
& je ne parle même pas de leur pseudo support qui clôture les tickets automatiquement au bout de 2 jours sans les résoudre... !

Pour le jeu Transference en lui-même, d'après la page Steam le jeu n'aurait pas besoin du launcher d'Ubisoft un gros point fort ?... sauf que c'est COMPLETEMENT FAUX ! Ubisoft Connect obligatoire !! & qui ne démarre même pas correctement !
Donc peut importe sa qualité, quand on rajoute un gros étron sur n'importe quoi ce qui reste c'est le goût de la M.E.R.D.E...

Sinon, c'est un jeu VR avant-tout, le mode non-VR existe mais il est mal foutu & ça n'a aucun intérêt hors VR pour un walking-simulator linéaire à petite tendance horrifique de ce style..
Surtout que dans tous les cas le jeu démarre en mode non-VR & il faudra l'activer à ce moment là!!WTF !
De plus, jeu à faire assis impérativement vu que c'est bien un des seul jeu VR où les limites d'aire de jeu Steam VR ne fonctionnent pas du tout. (peut-être parce qu'il se lance en mode cinéma au démarrage ??)
Sans compté qu'il se recentre automatiquement par moment... donc totalement impossible de savoir où on se situe dans l'espace qu'après s'être pris quelque chose....

Pas de téléportation, on avance lentement au stick gauche & on ramasse des notes & des audio/vidéo logs avec quelques petits ''puzzles''...
À part les cinématiques en FMV (avec l'audio en français désynchronisé !!) qui dénotent pour le style VR, il est graphiquement propre & assez bien produit (pour de la VR & sous HTC Vive Pro 2), bon après on ne visite qu'un petit appartement & sa cour avec des interactions plus que limitées !

Par contre la narration est complètement à la ramasse & insupportable, avec un père & son fils qui répètent les même choses en boucle sans une seule petite seconde de répit tout ça pour donner un ton mystérieux & inquiétant...
Mes insultes pour leur dire de fermer leur gueules n'ayant aucun effet j'ai préféré quitté le jeu temporairement avant qu'il ne fasse tout noir...
La suite n'est d'ailleurs pas mieux, juste pénible & ennuyeux tout du long pour un pseudo thriller sans queue ni tête & terriblement médiocre en fin de compte...

The story is spectacular and has so much potential. A very well-thought premise that was thoughtfully played in front of our eyes. It combines Layers of Fear with Observer but unfortunatly its a VERY short game. While most games of this level usually take 4-6 hours to complete, this game can be completed in about maybe 2 hours? That was the only dissapointing thing for me, simply because I wanted more. Good game, but catch on sale...not worth the money for the length of the game

La narrativa tiene sus chispazos de genialidad, haciendo que por momentos realmente te sientas dentro de un thriller psicológico.

Decent experience in VR. Nice visuals, lighting and excellent sound design. The atmosphere and tension in the game is great. Story was good but I wanted more.

Game is a bit short in length for the full price imo. I got in on a discount so for me it was worth it.

VR Locomotion controls with thumbsticks on my Pico 4 controllers was not good. Push thumbstick up AND press thumbstick down simulteously to move forward? Wtf. Luckily you can edit the control scheme in steamVR and fix that issue, there's some profiles there that's ready to use.

Also although I understand this game is meant to be a walking sim and for you to explore your surroundings, the movement speed cap is set way too low.

I would recommend this if you can get it on a deep discount.

Definitly get this on sale because this is really short game, 1.5-2 hours but i enjoyed this, interesting story that is nicely excecuted, ending is bit meh tho there can be happy endings.

Horror elements were good, some jumpscares but the rest is mostly atmosphere or "i did not expect you here" stuff.

so ye, i enjoyed it but ye, it took me 1.6 hours but i liked it, suprising that this came from Ubisoft.

С учетом того какую дрянь выпускает некогда легендарная Ubisoft игра получилась неплохой. Бродилки мне нравятся, Transference не успевает надоесть, так как проходится довольно быстро, к сожалению напряжения, атмосферы и тем более сюжета уровня observered здесь нет, но на один раз сойдет (если брать по скидке). Сюжет мог быть неплох, будь он нормально проработан, а так будто была идея, но по итогу забили болт. Проходил к сожалению в "плоском измерении", как раз после продажи своего pico 4, в VR думаю было бы интереснее.

That definitely was a pretty impressive game.
Its a "Horror walking simulator" that lives off the story and visuals.

Про VR версию:

Управление 3 из 5
Минусы:
1. Нужно зажимать джойстик чтобы передвигаться
2. Если приседаешь в реальности, то игра центрует камеру будто ты стоишь, поэтому приседать нужно на кнопку(если быстро, то игра не успевает реагировать, а приседать практически не нужно)
3. Боковая кнопка захвата это центровка камеры (зачем???)

Хоррорность 4 из 5, но без VR думаю оценка была бы в разы ниже
Атмосфера есть, но в большей степени не страха, но в некоторых местах напряжение есть.
Скримеры хорошие, но в первой половине игры их почти нет.

Сюжет 3 из 5
Он как бы есть, и интерес к сюжету у меня был проявлен, но не очень явная концовка убила всю оценку сюжета, то есть концовка ничего нового не рассказывает, что было известно в начале игры, то остается известным и в конце. Единственное немного узнаешь о взаимоотношениях членов семьи в ходе игры.

这款游戏综合来说应该比较适合VR，无论是交互的手感还是界面都是很VR感的，但是作为电脑游戏就太过于晕，真的很晕，本人玩过面容心魔这种治好的晕3D到这里还是晕，除此之外有关于情节的还是比较饱满的，整体风格也是让人眼前一亮的那种电脑数据特效风格，就是有点短，期待工作室更多类似这种游戏佳作。吓人程度3.5分，它主打的也不是关于鬼神或者之类的灵异风格，更属于一种通过不同时空间穿插寻找线索然后解密的迷失逃脱风格，所以解密程度还是可以的。还是那句话，值得推荐，但是晕3D的考虑一下，有VR的可以无脑入。

Ngl this game should be 5 Euro's at base, this IS NOT A 24 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EURO GAME. This game doesn't deliver on being a horror game, the "horror" is just cheap jump scares, that after a bit become very predictable, I wouldn't be judging it this hard if it weren't a 24 Euro game. The story is mid. I can't comment on the VR of the game. TL;DR don't give Ubisoft the money, and if you are really curious just watch a play through it took me not even 2 hours to complete.

Mais quel kiffe ce jeu ! J'ai joué en VR sur meta quest 3 et franchement, j'ai adoré !

Je ne peux pas dire que le jeu fasse très peur, je joue à des jeux d'horreur tous les jours, mais côté atmosphère, environnement, narration, gameplay aussi, c'est juste excellent !

Le fait de switch entre les deux versions du monde c'est vraiment cool et ça donne une touche très originale au jeu, et les vidéos qui racontent l'histoire au fur et à mesure sont top. J'ai vraiment été embarquée dans l'histoire et pour l'immersion avec la VR je n'aurais pas pu espérer mieux, d'autant plus que j'ai eu le jeu en solde à 5€, du pur cadeau.

Je recommande chaudement !

Advertises as escape room mystery, it's not.
about 2.5 hrs. total game-play, blind.
Can't say I enjoyed it,

the Good,
Starts out creepy, but you get use to it fast,
The puzzle mechanics are somewhat a repetition.
but overall nice VR visual experience,

Cons, is the story,
it does start out mystifying, but soon lost.
Even with collecting the video clips,
its not immersive or satisfying.

the Ugly,
the original control layout with Quest 2 & 3, ain't good.
thankfully you can change it with community made one.

Only buy at sale, 5 bucks or less.

2023년도에 하기엔 진부한 스토리에 완성도가 빈약하고,

그래도 잘 만든 그래픽과 맵구성을 더불어

Interesting, but very short, heartbreaking and a bit spooky game. There's not much content so better get in on sale if you've decided to try it.

About VR mode, it's not that great: there's no teleportation movement and anti-motion sickness vinguette (option is present but it's not very noticeable) and subtitles are positioned in left bottom corner, just like in non-VR version, they're not very comfortable to read and they're sometimes clipping through textures.

看在育碧尝试在vr和恐怖游戏领域创新的份上非常勉强得给个好评，没有一点指引，解密强行拖时长实际上游戏内容很少，场景也很少，简体中文还有显示bug，换繁体就没有了，用vr玩的话不能坐着玩，游戏里会变成蹲下，然后移动超级慢，我用steamvr拉高，还重置我的高度很脑瘫，剧情比较短。只能说一般般，勉强能玩

Man kann das Spiel zwar auch ohne VR spielen, aber dafür ist es nicht ausgelegt, weder grafisch noch vom Erlebnis her.

[b]Geschichte[/b]

Noch bevor wir Wohnung Nummer 3 in einem heruntergekommenen Mietshaus betreten wissen wir, dass uns nichts Gutes erwartet, auch wenn alles für einen Kindergeburtstag vorbereitet ist.

Der scharfsinnige Verstand sagt uns, dass wir uns in einer defekten Virtual Reality befinden (was sehr witzig ist, weil ich zuerst dachte, das Spiel wäre verbugged). Oder in einem Alptraum. Oder in einem Familiendrama. Oder alles zusammen.

Nicht erst seit Layers of Fear wissen wir, was so ein Genie mit seiner Familie anrichten kann. Und angerichtet wurde es hier erschreckend gut. Gerade wegen dem Familiendrama wie ich finde, statt herabhängende Puppen und Gespenster. Ein paar Schreckmomente gibt es auch, aber passend.

Dies gilt für VR, weil da Erlebnisse gewöhnlich intensiver wirken. Spielt man es in 2D, wird man da zu anderen, schlechteren Bewertungen kommen und sich fragen, was das ganze denn soll.

[b]Gameplay[/b]

Finde heraus, was mit der Familie passiert ist. Ich denke, das trifft es recht gut als Beschreibung des Gameplays. Hauptsächlich mit Hilfe von Lichtschaltern. Genau. Na, du wirst es schon merken, ich stand am Anfang auch wie blöd da und dachte, was das soll.

Es gibt natürlich noch mehr zu tun, ein paar Rätsel sind zu lösen und Räume zu untersuchen.

Wenn man vom Sammeleifer ergriffen ist, kann man Audio- und Videologs sammeln.

[b]Technik[/b]

Ich habe mit der Valve Index im Stehen gespielt und das hat sehr gut geklappt, wenn der Einstieg geschafft ist. Beim ersten Start des Spieles startet es nämlich in 2D. Im Optionsmenü kann man auf VR umschalten und dann startet es nochmal in VR.

Die Tastenbelegung für die VR-Controller war an einem Punkt etwas ärgerlich, denn mit dem rechten Analogstick kann man sich offenbar drehen und in die Knie gehen. Meist beides zusammen, was immer einen weiteren Handgriff zum Aufstehen erforderte. Hätte man ja auf einen Knopf legen können. Das mit dem "in die Knie gehen" (ich habe es jedenfalls so interpretiert) war jedenfalls ganz praktisch, weil es vermied, dass ich es wirklich tun musste.

Bei der Bewegung gab es kein Teleportieren und gewöhnlich wird mir da nach 5 Minuten Speiübel. Entweder gewöhne ich mich aber generell daran oder hier war die Bewegung so sanft, dass ich die gleitende Bewegung immerhin rund 60 Minuten am Stück ausgehalten habe.

Der VR-"Käfig", der anzeigt, wo die Bewegungsgrenzen im RL sind, wird im Spiel nicht angezeigt. Das ging trotzdem gut, hat mich aber vorsichtshalber von Bewegungen im RL abgehalten.

Alles in allem aber eine solide VR-Technik, die den Spielspaß nicht vermurkste, wie manch andere VR-Titel. Die Grafik sehr gut, auch aus der Nähe (in 2D nicht, da wirkt es verschwommen).

Der Sound war sehr gut und unterstrich wie die Grafik die Horror-Atmosphäre. Die Gespräche waren auf Deutsch.

[b]Sonstiges[/b]

Ich habe für einen Durchgang in VR knapp 3h benötigt.

Es gibt viele Errungenschaften. Nur zwei davon sind aufwendig.

Ein Horrorspiel in VR in VR(!) und als solches bei seiner überschaubaren Spielzeit sehr gut gemacht.

Entsprechend der Daumen nach oben oder unten, abhängig davon, ob ich es einem ähnlich gesinnten Spieler weiterempfehle. Der Spieleindruck eines anderen Spielers kann aber durchaus stark davon abweichen.[/i]
