13箇所の建造物を(遅い歩行速度で)歩いて回り文章を読むのみで、一切のゲーム性が無い。
また、13箇所の文章は詩的なよく分からないものが多く、すべて読むとなんとなくのストーリーを感じられるが、明確な説明は無く結局何もよく分からないまま終わる。
アート作品としては別によいのではないかと思うけれど。
過去にプレイした類似ゲーム欄に面白かった謎解き系ゲームが挙がっていたので、その手のゲームかと(そうでなくとも少なくともゲームかと)思って買ったのだが、ゲームではなかった。
プレイを終えた上で冒頭の動画を見ると、実によくこのソフトのプレイ体験を表している。動画を見るとよく分からないが何かありそうな雰囲気を感じるが、実際にプレイするとよく分からないが何かありそうな雰囲気を感じたまま終わる。

Very slooooow walking sim... Before you get anywhere you gonna feel drowsy, dizzy and nauseous, then consult with the doctor. Gameplay take about an hour or so. Make sure to like walking for extended period of time before reaching some point. Game is very contextual so you've to figure your way out of this world. Soundtrack - nothing special but still ok. Puzzles are not very common here, it's more about getting to specific place and finding artifacts. Your exploration is time limited so make sure to find everything before it reaches to the end but don't worry you can still continure starting from the tower. Story is about some ancient civilization predicting arrival of "the Nomad" which will invevitably destroy the whole valley where they live. Not worth playing unless you've got too much free time on your hands and feet.

TIMEframe has been in my library for several years now, and I had written it off as something I would never get around to. On a whim, I started it up and am happy that I did so. Nothing is explained, but you nonetheless learn the environment and the history of the civilization struggling with the prospect of its own mortality, its past, and its future. Between the music, the atmosphere, and the periodic (but not too short or too long) playthrough loops, TIMEframe offers a sense of serenity. What is, shall be again, even if it requires another go around

Atmospheric walking sim where you explore civilization about the get vaporised by a meteor. Game is set in 10 second timeframe that has been slowed down into 10 minutes and to discover everything you'll have to play through it couple times.
Pretty short experience where you learn about a civilization through artifacts around the map. Great atmosphere and really calming music.
I have no idea why this has such good reviews. The only interesting thing about the game, is psychologically analysing the developer of the game. He is clearly afraid of asteroids, or he is using asteroids as a manifestation of his mental crisis. About cyclism, death, end, decay, children, legacy, and future.
We explore this mental crisis in a walking simulator that is as boring as other walking simulators are. There is zero gameplay. Only drama is from frustration of the cycle mechanic, which has to be in the game, because the developer is still processing the aforementioned existential crises. Zero interesting art. Writing is, considering the quality of it, thankfully nonexistant. I would only recommend this game to someone facing similar mental/existential crisis as a way to find out, they too can make extremely boring game out of it. Maybe I should start doing this.

Тут не сразу становится понятно что делать. Название игры отражает её суть. С течением времени можно заметить как начинает падать метеорит. И этот валун достигнет своей цели, если только не выполнить кое-что до того, как он свалится. А вот что именно требуется сделать, можно посмотреть уже в самой игре. В целом, пусть и выглядит как что-то необычное, но игра проходится еле-еле и на один раз. Не сложная, а размеренная, тянущаяся до зевков игра. Думаю, можно провести время в других, более подвижных играх.
I am not someone who plays a lot of walking Sims but the art style is what caught my attention.
The world was large, I liked how there was pending doom but it wasn't game over per-say when the event occurred. I am not sure when I picked this game up since I have been working through my backlog however I can say its a short but enjoyable experience :)

J'ai joué à ce jeu en 2017, et j'ai revu ce jeu avec un proche récemment, qui lui aussi a été touché.
Pour moi, c'est une pépite qui restera dans mon cœur. Cependant, il ne plaira pas à tout le monde.
TimeFrame est un jeu très calme, très lent, avec une atmosphère particulière. C'est à la fois de la contemplation et un peu d'exploration dans un monde où vous êtes seul.e.
Le "twist" du jeu m'a fait pleuré la première fois, je ne m'y attendais pas et ça m'avait chamboulé et mise en face de plein de choses. Quand j'écoute la musique, j'ai de nouveaux des frissons.

It's stuck in my mind since the ludum dare version.
It's a brief game but it is, as most walking sims, carried by vibes. Either you can appreciate them or it will feel like an empty experience. I think the world and the music are beautiful and the elemental nature of the topic and the scenery demands one to stop and admire it. I do think it could've delved deeper into the topic and the world, but then some might see it as overstaying its welcome.
If you have no more to say, better to stop talking.
I appreciate it for what it is, and let my imagination fill in the rest.

There isn't much of a game in here, it's 100% just a walking simulator, but it's an interesting one.
Short enjoyable exploration game / walking sim.
After starting the game you are immediately put in a world that only has 10 seconds left until it is inevitably destroyed.
With so little time, how can you even make a few steps? Well, these precious 10 seconds are presented in extreme slow motion, giving you enough time to discover some lore about this civilization and it's inhabitants, and about the cataclysm that is about to happen.
After that, the time starts anew, akin to games like Majoras Mask or Outer Wilds. (The world needs more timeloop games!)
The walking from one point of interest to the next is a little slow and far, but I think that is quite intentional, otherwise the game would be over in a flash, and the timeloop mechanic also wouldn't make much sense.
The artstyle is unique, all the textures and particle effects consist of very distinctly shaded triangles, almost like little mosaics.
A beautiful music score underlines the experience, which also gives hints about how much time is left until the apocalypse.
It's great that the short but good OST is also available as DLC.
If I'm being honest, the price is a little steep for just a little over ~1h of gameplay.
But I liked it nonetheless, can recommend if you're into such games and don't shy away from some extended walking.

I am picky about walking simulators as if they're going to be light on gameplay, they have to have great environments and/or story to back them up. For me, this has neither.
The gameplay consists of very slowly walking to various points on a map to bring up a screen of text, detailing a story and world that you'll know the fate of by the time you get the third one. On top of that, each run is on a timer and while you don't lose progress at the end of said timer, you do have to start over and slowly plod your way to your next objective and maybe, get one of two more before things loop again.
Melancholic music will play periodically throughout this, though it is very good quality music. The low fidelity art style I actually like and some of the mini environments you'll go into do have interesting designs, but again, all you're doing is going there and clicking on something to read text.
I have nothing against mini projects like this in general and have played and enjoyed a bunch of them. But this one's just predictable and not very interesting.
a short and pretty little experience. walking around through a world, your task is to learn as much as you can by visiting various landmarks. you're on a timer which will send you back to point A, similar to outer wilds. unlike outer wilds this game is very short and there's not a lot of mechanics. you just go. you walk around the pretty world, listen to the pretty music, and read the pretty notes. you learn about the society that live in the world youre in, and how everything's about to turn to rubble. its nice.
the movement speed is slow as is the pacing in general. this leaves moments of true boredom where youre walking from one place to another having already seen everything in between, but it also creates moments of excitement where youre hoping that you can get to your goal, and you get there and read your thing just before the screen goes white and everything resets. a good time.
not the most meaningful game to me. if you have the cash and know what you're getting into, you will think "that was pretty cool."
TIMEframe is a push W and move mouse simulator. Walk in the direction of a structure while listening to the lovely soundtrack. Upon arrival find the artifact within, read its historical or philosophical musings and then continue on your path. It's short and somewhat contemplative, if you're in such a mood. Consider it a departure from your usual games, a palate cleanser. After completing it fully I can't say I'll be revisiting it ever again, but I appreciated it while it lasted.
It has a relaxing atmosphere and nice minimalist visuals, but it’s just a slow walking simulator. The goal is to find 14 artifacts, which could be fun if the world didn’t reset every 10 minutes. I knew it was a loop, but the gameplay feels tedious and boring. If you’re not into walking sims, I can’t recommend it. Got my achievements and won’t touch it again.
Nice little game, really relaxing music. cool concept that could be expanded on, would probably get it on sale tho.
Also just because you have got all the achievements doesn't mean you completed the game, there is one new thing to do once you get all achievements.
Beautiful walking sim with a story both sad and hopeful
It's a lovely, relaxing way to spend an hour. I was constantly in awe of the simple but beautifully done graphics. The subtle/inferred story is melancholy and the music is nice.
I'm doing some end-of-the-year game cleanup and almost added this to my ignored games. I figured it's only an hour long, I'd give it a go. Honestly I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, especially given the mid reviews; so I wanted to add one more positive review to the bucket. I had a pleasant hour. :)

To be clear, TIMEframe is exactly what it says on the box; a casual walking simulator.
The art direction is nice, the soundtrack is great, and there are a few cool moments like seeing a tree with slow falling leaves, or a giant asteroid slowly descending to destroy what is left of this mysterious civilization. But while I can appreciate the art and the concepts being explored in this title. I found this game overall to be fairly uninteresting. As for narrative and world building, this title seems to scratch the surface and wants to explore a few things, but ultimately doesn't feel like there's much substance. You will have also see basically all this title has to offer after about an hour of play, without much intensive to come back for more.
For those who like this type of experience, this title may be right up your ally. Achievement hunters and completionists might appreciate this one for being so short, but for most players, there are much better choices out there
TIMEframe is a walking simulator in its truest sense. No running, no jumping, no crouching, just walking. You're placed in a mystic valley, where you have to find a number of artifacts.
The place is beautiful and cool to explore, but it's a bit tedious to walk around such a large area without running. It's a simple and short game, alright if you like these sort of things. If you're looking for something more complex, you probably won't like this one.

Slow exploration game with a lovely soundtrack.
Short and sweet. It's a walking sim with time loop that packs in a weirdly large amount of information about the world you're on and the society the built the places you're walking around in. It's very pretty in a nice and abstract way with lots of nice detail in how it shows time is moving slowly during your time walking around the world. Kind of just a nice and relaxing time.

Zeit ist relativ, nicht nur bei Einstein sondern auch beim subjektiven Empfinden. So mutet bei uns hier eine Sekunde wie eine Minute an und davon haben wir gerade mal zehn. Dann ist's aus, denn der Meteorit zerstört, was von den Ruinen einer Zivilation noch übrig ist.
Zum Glück kann auch das Murmeltier etwas über Zeit erzählen und zwar, dass sie sich hier (ganz ohne Murmeltier) in einer Schleife wiederholt.
Also erleben wir die letzten zehn Sekunden immer wieder und zwar in etwa vom Zentrum des ganzen Areals respawnend, was recht praktisch ist, um irgendwann alle interessanten Punkte gefunden zu haben.
Einzig schade an der Geschichte ist, dass ich sie nur von der Shopseite und einigen schlauen Rezensenten abgeschrieben habe. Ich bin im Spiel nicht darauf gekommen. Es gibt zwar an fast jedem POI (Point of Interest) ein lyrisches Zitat aus einer (fiktiven) antiken Quelle, aber für mich war das nicht erhellend.

Was macht man in einer Laufsimulation? Genau. Und das macht hier durchaus relativ Spaß. Man rennt über die Sanddünen und Hügel und ist gespannt, was man zu sehen bekommt, nähert sich dem Objekt und bewundert (ich jedenfalls) dieses Relikt.
Es gibt insgesamt 14 wichtige Punkte, die man gefunden haben sollte und mindestens noch zwei interessante Stellen obenauf.
Klar ist nicht der Straßenfeger, aber es hat schon was für die kurze Spielzeit die es hat. Dabei kommt mir zugute, dass ich das Antiken-Thema des Levels ja schon mag. Auch Fans von Antoine de Saint-Exupéry könnten angetan sein.
Das Spiel hat übrigens wirklich ein dediziertes Spielende (so ähnlich, wie ja auch der Murmeltiertag irgendwann zuende geht).
Ich hätte echt gerne noch mehr interessante Orte gefunden (gab es aber wohl keine mehr).
Dass es eine Karte gibt, an der man sich orientieren kann, habe ich erst nachträglich erfahren. Offenbar also nicht wirklich nötig.

Das ärgerlichste war bei meinem Spiel, dass es bei etwa der Hälfte aller POI's (oder der Errungenschaften, die damit verbunden sind) abgestürzt ist. Nicht nur, dass ich die Texte so nicht lesen konnte (habe ich in einem Guide nachgeholt), ich musste jedesmal wieder (vorzeitig) vom Startplatz anfangen. Dafür, dass das Spiel ja nicht so ewig komplex ist, hätte das nicht sein sollen.
Die Grafik und Atmosphäre erinnerte mich an Journey. Leichte Brauntöne dominieren, alles ist in einem Sanddunst versunken, das meiste ist Low-Poly. Also auf einfache Weise große Wirkung erzielt.
Die Musik ist sehr schön. Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, von einem etwas bekannteren Künstler. Gefiel mir jedenfalls.
Die Steuerung per Controller (alternativ Tastatur/Maus) ist denkbar einfach.

Ich habe für einen Durchgang 75 Minuten gebraucht. 60, wenn die Abstürze nicht gewesen wären vermutlich.
Die Errungenschaften sind alle einfach, mit dem POI verbunden. Wenn das Spiel dabei abstürzt, bekommt man diese Errungenschaft bei einem Neustart des Spiels nachträglich.

It's slow and hardly rewarding, but the fleeing transience of life itself comes across through a beautiful little score and atmospheric worldbuilding. Not the strongest recommendation, but I don't regret finishing it. (6/10)

I wanted to like this one but I had a lot of issues with crashing and lost progress and wasting my own time by walking way out of my way and back to get to something I wasn't supposed to get to yet. However! I still recommend it because the story is somewhat interesting, I enjoyed the unique visual style and there was an element of the environment I was surprised by and haven't seen before.
I had big expectations before i played this game because i usually really enjoy story driven walking simulators. Sadly, i've never been this disappointed in a game in my life. It has absolutely nothing to give, no story, no explanation, you just walk around (quite literally a walking sim) from one artifact to another. Definitely not worth the price.

The game has an interesting premesis: you walk through a world that is moments away from being destroyed. You can see the sun or whatever other floating space thing slowly explode. Everytime the loop starts you get 10 minutes to explore the world and look for artifacts of the planet's previous population. The artifacts and the locations you can find those in are beautifully designed and it is a very surreal feeling to walk through this world that is extremely slowed down. Water doesn't flow, leaves don't fall, etc.
The only problem is that after 10 minutes, you are brought back to the beginning of the game and have to "start over". You still have the explored artifacts but you have to walk the full distance to the next location again. This effecively feels more like a cheap accumulation of playtime because the game could be finished in less than half an hour without this mechanic.
Still, I feel if you can get this game on sale it is worth spending time on it.

Весьма неплохой симулятор ходьбы по низкополигональному миру длительностью не более часа. Музыка приятная, темп ходьбы не черепаший, проблем с нахождением необходимых 14 артефактов нет. Для меня единственный недостаток - это отсутствие локализации, чтоб хоть как-то понять историю игрового мира, язык в записях не самый простой. По скидке рекомендую.
Pure walking simulator that has:
1) very slow movement
2) absolutely nothing to do other than walk
3) warps you back to the start just when you found something interesting.
4) overly wide FOV (but it's adjustable).
The art style is really satisfying if extremely repetitive.
If you need even a tiny amount of game in your walking simulator then avoid this one.
I really chilled out and vibed with this, however it definitely feels lacking. Maybe a day/night mode and more "collectible" bits of lore in the actual artifacts themselves would have given that extra bit to feel fully fleshed out while still remaining mysterious /enigmatic.
But if you just want a little something to hang out in your library until you need to relax, kill a bit of time, or an easy 100% achievement- this isn't a bad buy.
I knew I was getting into a walking simulator, but there is nothing of interest to walk to.
You're holding W for a few minutes over bland terrain to click on one thing, then repeating.
There is just absolutely nothing interesting at all going on here. There are no perilous paths up a winding mountain, no high bridges you can survey the land from, there's no abandoned buildings you can explore for no reason, barely even a pretty flower to admire. It takes a minute or two to read everything the game has to offer, while the other 99% is holding W with a largely empty world to look at. The world itself simply doesn't have a story to tell.
Being in a loop, forcing you to reset, is solely a hindrance and serves no interesting purpose. You can't utilize anything you learn from a previous loop to find something new or get somewhere faster. If you're unlucky, you'll also be 10 seconds away from the next POI when the loop resets, meaning you effectively lost all "progress" to that place and you're just holding W through a mundane field again.
While the one song is quite enjoyable, it's the only one you get to enjoy. The writing isn't even horribly interesting as well.
If you really want to know what the game has to offer while respecting your time, play the song and Google the text, and maybe rewatch the trailer. That's everything.
[i]TIMEframe[/i] is a really quite basic ‘walking simulator’, with its gimmick being that it takes place in the final ten seconds of a doomed world, just before being hit by a comet – but with time slowed down significantly and those ten seconds stretched to ten minutes; the game then loops back to the start, resetting the player to a central location. The ultimate goal of the game is to visit each of 14 landmarks spread throughout the world, each rewarding the player with a paragraph of lore to provide some context. There are some attractive, fairly grand, vistas on offer, but these can’t offset the shallowness of the gameplay, with no jumping, running or interactivity (other than registering each landmark upon locating it), while the time-loop feels something of an unnecessary frustration, potentially resetting your location just as you’re about to reach a landmark.
A fairly straight-forward experience. You walk around a mostly barren desert in order to find artifacts residing in or near landmarks. There is the looming "threat" of a meteor that will crash into the central tower after a certain amount of time has passed, however, the meteor is guaranteed to make impact several times throughout a single playthrough and there is no punishment for it doing so. The game is about an hour long and is fairly enjoyable if you enjoy these types of games. The one thing I would critique is that there is no ambient sound (no wind, no footsteps, no creaking of the landmarks or any sound whatsoever).

Cuando el fin del mundo es inevitable, y es un ciclo eterno definitivo, decides apegarte a tu instinto de supervivencia y escapar, o aceptar el irrefutable destino y convivir con lo eternamente previsto, tienes un momento para despedirte de todo lo que esta civilización a logrado, y explorar como viven este destino, esto es: TIMEframe.
Al principio me pareció algo lento, no me gustan los juegos cuya interacción se resume a los 4 botones de movimiento y 2 mas (no puedes correr ni saltar), pero al final me terminó gustando su aspecto visual y los amalgamas filosóficos que este juego trae, sobre como se enfrentan a "El Nómade", la verdad, valió la pena, no creo que tenga mas jugabilidad que volver a explorar el mundo por lo bello que es, pero para ser un trabajo de 5 personas, muy bueno.

Though I give this a light thumbs up, GRAB IT ON SALE. Though six dollars is cheap it's still a bit much for this walking sim.
The setting is really beautiful and fun to look at, and 'explore' if moving slowly between giant sand dunes to the next interesting location can be considered exploring. It's unique style lends itself to wanting to check out each interesting place. But you can do this in under an hour, which I think six dollars does not justify.
And the main grab of this game, the story, is told through sparse relics and old documents. It's interesting but there isn't much there. A bit of Outer Wilds but without the everything. Honestly, that statement can be said for much of the game: the whole mechanic is that you are in a bubble that slows down time, but that mechanic is mostly for plot reasons. When you die and 'restart the cycle' it's not a cool way to set up puzzles but basically a formality of the experience here.
To sum it up: it was a fun 50 minutes and the worldbuilding was certainly neat to piece through. I got this for free and honestly I can't say I advise getting it for anything more than that.
I got the game on sale. Worth it. The art style is amazing and pleasant the more you pay attention to details. The Vignette on the screen shows more details if you aim your screen the right way at the sun. The music tells its own story that matches your own discovery of the game's story. Compelling walking simulator with a high concept lore to it. Really enjoyed it and look forward to replaying it later just for the visuals. A camera mode would be great for this game. A freeroam, flying camera would be truly remarkable for this already amazing game. So glad I finally picked it up with the soundtrack.

Artsy boredom simulator - 2/10
I'm a big fan of good walking sims with a nice story or good puzzles. This one has none of that, you just walk around the map looking for artifacts while a bit of music plays. The music is the only good thing this game has to offer other than that it's pure trash. It takes about 7 minutes to walk from one artifact/building to the next, and after some time you have to start from the beginning temple again.
If at least the environment would be a bit interesting, but not even that.
Would not even recommend this one for free.
100%-Achievement-Difficulty: Very easy, takes around 1 hour to complete, you will be bored to death though.

Visual worldbuilding is delivered well to set the stage for this title. What happens on that stage is far to limited and spaced too far apart to carry the weight of the setup.

The premise of the game seems so small and simple, but really, it's a lovely game, and it has an interesting perspective.
It's alright.
I have my grievances with this game, even though I enjoy this genre of walking simulator. I did enjoy it overall, I had more positive than negative impressions. I liked how you beat the game with zero prompts, it just clicks together within a few minutes. Perhaps walking sim connoisseurs will not find this impressive nowadays, but I'm just going through all my little indie titles, so I'm taking it as it is. Some unwelcome crashing did happen with me, but it wasn't a big deal. No progress was lost.
If you have this from a bundle and broadly like walking sims, you might get some enjoyment out of this one. If it's sitting in your library, it's 90 odd minutes to clear one indie game from your backlog.
If you're reading the reviews to see if you should buy this, I'd recommend you wait for a sale if you can wait.

Ein einsames Reich voller prächtiger Bauten. Eine nahende Katastrophe. Und wir. TIMEframe setzt uns in einer Welt ab, die dem Untergang geweiht ist, doch der Spieler ist in einer Zeitschleife gefangen. So können wir die letzten Sekunden des kargen, aber sehr hübsch in Szene gesetzten Landes immer wieder und wieder erleben.
Sekunden? Ja, denn wir befinden uns nicht nur ähnlich wie in Outer Wilds in der angesprochenen Schleife - die Zeit vergeht auch stark verlangsamt. Das ermöglicht uns, auf Erkundungstour zu gehen und ein Ziel zu verfolgen, dessen wir uns selbst nicht so ganz sicher sind. Untermalt wird die Wanderung von einem fabelhaften Soundtrack, der das Setting des Spiels in bemerkenswerter Weise in Klang übersetzt und damit maßgeblich die Stimmung prägt.
Im Wesentlichen geht es darum, jedes Bauwerk in der Spielwelt aufzusuchen und dabei die Schriften des verschollenen Volkes zu finden. Stimmungsvolle, in teils anspruchsvollem Englisch geschriebene Texte dienen jeweils als kleines Puzzlestück auf unserem Weg der Erleuchtung. Nicht unbedingt zusammenhängend eröffnen sie uns ein Fenster in die Realität und Gedanken eines Volks, das an höheren Mächten zu scheitern droht. Daraus lassen sich wunderbar philosophische Brücken zu unserer Welt bauen, sodass ich TIMEframe meiner Interpretation nach auch eine clevere Message kreditiere.

[b]Was das Spiel nicht ist[/b]
Im Stile eines Dear Esther verzichtet TIMEframe auf tiefere Spielmechaniken. Die größte Herausforderung ist es wohl, in einer Zeitschleife möglichst viele der Orte anzusteuern und dabei die Schriften zu lokalisieren. Ich empfehle generell, nicht unbedingt alles sofort zu lesen, sondern mehrere Schriften in einer Schleife zu sammeln, um sie dann im nächsten Durchgang in Ruhe lesen zu können.
Die Bauwerke sind nämlich ganz schön weit voneinander entfernt und am Ende eines Durchgangs werden wir immer an den Anfangspunkt zurückgesetzt. Auch wenn wir eine Karte haben, die uns die ungefähren Standorte der verbliebenen Schriften zeigt, brauchen wir so definitiv ein paar Schleifen, um alles einzusammeln. Konkret heißt das: Die allermeiste Zeit des etwa anderthalbstündigen Erlebnis verbringen wir damit, die "W"-Taste auf der Tastatur zu drücken, bis wir an einem Point of Interest angekommen sind. Gut also, dass der Soundtrack währenddessen das Ohr erfreut und der ungewöhnliche Grafikstil die monumentalen Bauten und das imposante Gelb des schleichenden Sonnenuntergangs (oder -aufgangs?) so gut abbildet. Eine gute Prämisse für einen illustren Spaziergang.

Very much a walking simulator, but a beautiful one with intriguing bits of story and fantastic music. If you like games that are experiences more than anything else, this is a lovely way to spend an hour or two.
Never really been a fan of pure walking sims. Not much to do inbetween each monument and they take a good 10 mintues (1 cycle) to go through 3 of them. The graphics and music is only going to entertain you for so long before you start getting extremely bored. Luckily I was close enough to 100% that it seemed foolish to stop.
Is this really a game, though? Just just walk around and click on some artifacts, then some text pops up. Then you just walk onto some podium and that's it.

TimeFrame is a pure walking simulator where you have to find 14 places of interest in a small world. It is really an experience more than anything else with minimal interaction. Finding one of those 14 artefacts elicits some information about the world and what the object represented.
You will witness the final moments of a land about to die. 10 seconds in their time is 10 minutes in ours. Every ten minutes the game resets to the beginning, but you retain what you have achieved in that time. So there is a constant time loop which some people may find boring. There are no directions or controls to tell you what to do. By chance, I discovered that the space bar brings up a small map which aids you into finding the relative objects.
Everything about this game is very minimal and sparse. The environment and minimal music were very evocative and heightened the desolation and sadness of a dying civilisation. What was once a hive of activity is now full of motes of dust and echoes of silence. We are all here just for a fleeting moment of time before complete obliteration! You could almost imagine the voices of panic as the moment of impact was nearing.....and it did come.
This piece of art won't be everyone's cup of tea. No action, just walking, exploring and finding things are what you have to do, but it tugs at the heartstrings and makes you wonder about our own future. Philosophers will have a field day!

Imagine if you lived in Termina from Majora's Mask. The moon is falling and is going to strike your home. Link can escape, going back in time, but you can't.
That's essentially the premise of TIMEframe. Taking place in a very slow ten seconds, you get to walk around a deserted city finding artifacts while waiting for a meteor to destroy everything. Finding each artifact gives you some lore about the civilization that once lived in the city and their relationship to the giant space rock.
Yeah, this is a pretty basic walking simulator, but I actually enjoyed it. Discovering the history of the civilization was fascinating for me, and there is some striking imagery in this game that has stuck with me. If you don't like walking sims, this probably won't change your mind. If you do like walking sims, give this one a chance.
I have nothing against walking sims, but this is more like a "Press W" sim. The only redeeming quality is the graphics are kinda nice. The lore is boring and the ending doesn't even attempt to be rewarding. As someone who works on little games with friends, I can appreciate how much time must have gone into even something as simple as this. It just not a worthwhile experience. Unless your high, maybe.

eh, it was ok. At full price it's not worth it at all, but it's somewhat interesting. I just wish it was 2-3 times as long.
After experiencing this I hate all video games. It sucked all joy of my life. I cannot experience happiness anymore. You can't make "game" so bad on accident, so I assume it was made like this on purpose, so congrats.

TIMEframe is a 'comfy' walking simulator. There's very little content, but it feels like that's the point. You have no jump, no run, there's no puzzles, no enemies. Instead, what you're left with is 10 seconds stretched out to a scant few minutes of in-game time to pick over the ruins of a civilization desperate to escape its own annihilation.
If you don't like these kind of navel-gazing artsy games, you won't find anything to change your mind with TIMEframe. It's incredibly short(Even at a leisurely pace it took less than an hour to 100% it), If you do, you'll find a nice little sci-fi story wrapped up in some pleasant music and a blocky but beautiful game world.
Unfortunately the lack of content harms it as much as it helps. TIMEframe is a barebones walking simulator. The game time, even as short as it is, is padded significantly by objects being very far away, and your walk speed being very slow. This was fine for the first half of the markers you need to reach, since it gives you time to enjoy the barren but well-crafted world Random Seed Games has created. But by the end it's a slog, since you know where to go, and just have to wait. There's also, frustratingly, no way to re-read the lore without replaying the entire game.(Screenshotting fixes this but still)
My recommendation comes with a severe case of 'only get it on sale'. There's just not enough to TIMEframe for me to think the 5.99 price tag is in anyway worthwhile(7.99 with the soundtrack is sort of outrageous, considering there's not a lot of music either!)
A simple game with a simple premise of time loop. This is an [i] actual [/i] walking simulator, with little to do other than to explore the gorgeous landscape while uncovering bits of information about the world to the sound of a beautiful soundtrack.
It's almost like a stripped-down version of Outer Wilds, in a way, but still worth it.
If you are looking for a game I would not recommend this. If you could enjoy 1 or 2 hours exploring an artistic idea with a few lore texts on the side, think a very slow walk through a very slow museum with a nice music in the background - then this might be sth to pick up for 1 or 2 € - Very short, art exhibition with a sprinkle of poetry on top. Since this is sold as a game on steam i would rather not recommend it to the general public.
I went into this freshly baked and hoping for a chill experience and that's just what I received. Nice atmosphere and music with a bit of mystery to it. Hard to recommend at full price but was worth picking up on sale.

A relaxing hour long game with a great soundtrack and story telling
An immersive, hour long experience, TIMEframe is a short but sweet game exploring the ruins of a civilization that endured for millennia.
TIMEframe is a game where you explore a civilization before it's completely wiped from existence.
Story:
The story of TIMEframe is minimalistic. The basic gist is that the world is coming to an end and everything slows down and in the last moments you explore a long abandoned civilization before it's completely wiped from existence.
The games story feels more like an art exhibit instead of an actual game. There is a story hidden somewhere, but it's up to the player to fill in the pieces yourself.
Graphics:
The art style of TIMEframe is also incredibly minimalistic, but the game is very pleasing to look at. The environments are grand and impressive to look at and honestly the atmosphere the game has is exceptional. It was quite relaxing walking around and looking at the locations as it had this sort of unnerving atmosphere, but sort of weirdly peaceful.
Audio:
The games music is really nice and really helps set up a very relaxing atmosphere, even though the end of the world is coming. Apart from these tracks, there's no basically no other audio design to speak off. I'm really glad the music is good, cause otherwise this game would be painful to get through.
Gameplay:
In TIMEframe you're stuck in the last ten seconds of the world and the game is played in short 10 minute intervals as a meteor approaches and wipes you out. The game is basically a walking simulator where your only goal is to explore locations.
Every time the ten minute timer is finished, the meteor will strike the earth and reset you to the starting location (progress is saved after you visit each location don't worry) and you can freely walk to the next one and look around. I'll just come out and say it, this game will not be for everyone. It's more or less a virtual museum you're visiting to look around locations and if you don't like that sort of stuff, you will certainly won't like TIMEframe.
The only real negative is that a lot of the times when you're reset you have to walk quite the distance to another location meaning you usually have enough time to visit roughly 2 locations (if you really like to look around) per single loop. It took me roughly an hour to visit each location and give everything a good look.
Verdict:
TIMEframe is a really interesting experience, but you can barely call it a game. It's fine for the most part, but you really have to like the walking simulator genre to truly appreciate the genre to like this, but I myself had a great time with it and I definitely recommend it to anyone that's a fan of the genre.

I was trying to find something positive about this game... But I didn't manage... I found it unnerving, no skills required. one hour to finish it that felt like four.
Beautiful music combines with wonderful art. Play this alone, or share the experience with a friend. An absolute blast
Note: this game takes about an hour to fully explore.
The time loop mechanic is I think not very well implemented - there is no true visual indication of how much time you have left (until the end when the music swells and the Nomad sails into the tower) so it is pretty common to be nearing a megalith when suddenly the cycle ends and you have to start over. It can also kick you out while you're reading which is pretty annoying. Otherwise, the loop timer seems to have no effect on the game world. For such a short game, I guess it doesn't matter. At the current sale price of $1, certainly, can't complain.
If you enjoyed this game, I would highly recommend "The Outer Wilds", also on Steam, which is a much longer, higher budget take on the same concept.
