Найденную информацию мы можем сверить в справочнике, который не только даёт историческую справку, но может отсылать и к другим полезным статьям, способным помочь нам в расследовании. Всё это сопровождается шикарным саунд-дизайном, жутким эмбиентом и атмосферным визуалом. Игра на твёрдые 6/10, т.к. из-за своей краткости она ощущается не как полноценный продукт, но демо-версия. С нетерпением жду следующую, более объёмную, часть.
This was an amazing experience for such a short and free game. It has very creepy atmosphere thoughout and one of the darkest endings in a horror game I've ever seen. 5/5

A short horror point-and-click game that completely captured my attention. At first, I assumed it wouldn’t be particularly frightening — after all, how scary could clay possibly be? Turns out, I was very wrong.
The game delivers remarkable attention to detail, especially in its cultural elements, origins, and the unsettling conclusion that left a lasting impression. Who would have thought that a simple point-and-click game could create such a tense and oppressive horror atmosphere? The strong cultural presence makes the experience feel even more immersive, as if we truly are an archaeologist uncovering something that perhaps should have remained buried.
Despite its short duration, the game successfully held my full attention and sent chills down my spine. A brief experience, yet undeniably haunting.
spooky and short. Wish you didn't have to retype things you already have looked up before in game. no gamepad support but works fine on handhelds , tablets etc , basic mouse and keyboard input needed. I recommend (= decided to try at after looking for a game like Growing my Grandpa not as fleshed out but its still worth playing. Love the vibes, visuals and music too! Give it a go !!!!
A good, short, very atmospheric and artistic horror game, if you have 20 minutes, it's definitely worth playing. There should be more games like this. Definitely worth recommending.

Short but it's perfect for this type of game, it's a nice little puzzle that forces you to pay attention to what the game tells you by reading through the text in full. Really creepy atmosphere and it builds up really well + it's free.

Tiny horror gem dripping with atmosphere and love.
A great game that would've been fantastic if it lasted longer.
It has a really pleasing stop-motion look and combines that with its point and click controls to feel oddly nostalgic to me (perhaps my memories of some old flash games). Reading up on the history of the artifact is interesting, with the actual clues not being very hard to find but still feeling satisfying to engage with.
The way the artifact devolves and the horror ramps up is also fairly well done, I just wish it was more gradual. This ties into my only notable issue with this game, being that I wish there was more of it. I'd love to learn a lot more, solve more little puzzles and of course have the tension build up more.

Not usually a style of game id play but the ambiance was incredible. The research tabs were a fun read added a really nice depth to the clay doll and the ending was [spoiler] ambigious enough to let me imagine my own end [/spoiler]
Fun concept
Just finished playing this hidden gem.
- for the gameplay: it is very simple, and easy to understand the mechanics (even towards the end).
- Length: it is a very short game, finished it in 40min.
- Music: *CHEF'S KISS* its so good, and really helps the player immerse into the atmosphere.
- Graphics: They were interesting, especially since its stop motion, and it helps getting immersed.
- LORE: As a Christian, I was not expecting the lore behind it, and to be honest it was really good.
*Overall: Its a great, short story, game to play.
This game is a reminder of how important the indie scene is, because it's where a lot of the uniqueness and risk taking is done.
Yes I suggest this, blind, it's super short so it won't hurt ya, and nothing is really "missable", even if you're an achievement hunter, you can just go back and do everything in a few seconds in a new playthrough.
The core of this game is that you are searching keywords into the books while analyzing a statue to figure out information about it, while also using those searches to bounce off into new searches, learning about what the clay statue is in the first place. I wouldn't say I was ever scared, but I did enjoy the bite-sized unique gameplay loop and the stop motion art style.
Pretty much go in blind, it's free so there are no barriers and it's short, but I'm glad I played it. I'm kind of entranced by the statue, everythings solid here. Also this seems like a game you should wear headphones and consider being in the dark for, it's not scary but it's got some nice atmosphere and vibe.

Man i really wish it was longer, such a small unpolished gem in here, definitely recommended, it's about 30-40 min long gameplay, you may replay it once to get all achievements though. give it a try
An extremely short and simple, but very cool, game. I love the works of Lovecraft, Borges, and Clark Ashton Smith. This game does an excellent job of drawing from this style of writing and overall atmosphere. I would love for more content in a similar vein from this developer one day. This is not the usual indie horror slop that oversaturates Steam and streaming, and games like this one (short or otherwise) should be supported and encouraged.

I love this game, I've followed the creator and I'm really looking forward to more from them.
Short little game, and brings to mind the 5-word story challenges. It manages to set a tone, stick with it, and nail the landing. I'd like to see more of this world.

This is a fairly short game in which you inspect and research a mysterious artifact. Everything flows nicely, even if some of the search terms are things I wouldn't think to ask. Gets good and creepy by the end, too. Definitely worth checking out if you're into horror.

Excellent game. I don't play horror games very much, but this may inspire me to change that. I feel like it achieved exactly what it was trying to in terms of atmosphere and the feeling of dread and anxiety I was feeling when the game got spooky. Very much worth at least the quick 30 minute playthrough, but I will likely be playing more to discover any secrets I can.

I don’t know why I liked this game it checks all of my boxes for dislikes but as short as it was I actually enjoyed it. You stare at an idol interact with it with a few tools you have a magnifying glass, a match Ect. And you have a book to look up images phrases words lore that has to do with the idol and the more you discover the more it changes short, sweet and spooky!

Absolutely fantastic game shapped like a short story you would read in a horror novel. As someone who is both an archaeologist and a big fan of horror, I cannot express enough how delighted I am with this game.
The atmosphere is incredibly well set, the artifact is very well done and so are the bits of information about the archaeological site. I love how it makes you engage with the text and make you search for the info you need!
For those who are fans of The Magnus Archives, this could very much feel like its own Statement!!!!

篇幅短小的解谜游戏，阴森的音乐和昏暗的背景把恐怖氛围烘托得很到位。提供不断查阅字典获取文物信息，整个过程好像在逐渐解禁某种不可名状之物、释放远古邪神。
咱就是说，为啥大半夜还非要点个油灯研究文物啊，这不存心招鬼呢吗，送文物来的你小子也是没安好心。

心理恐怖的优秀之作。大晚上一边回复朋友一边开启游戏，结果抬头就看见那个恐怖的小雕像的脸，吓了一大跳。游戏的互动很有意思，就是刚开始解谜的时候因为摸不到头脑而摸索了好一会儿……但上手之后就很简洁明了（不过端着蜡烛找人那段依旧懵了一会儿www）。游戏的声音和画面效果都足够恰当，营造出了非常帮的恐怖感，十一点四十多开始玩有惊喜哦（笑）。随着对这件小雕像的认识越来越丰富，那种恐怖感也越拉越高，直到拔下钉子转过来陶器、接着一切归于黑暗……充分地体现了克苏鲁神话中对某些事物的了解越多就越容易感到恐惧甚至发疯的设计（灵视提高了是这样的）。恰当的留白也让恐怖氛围留在了一个足够高的阶段，总之非常推荐大家来试试咸淡。

i have no examined this clay demon from 47 different angles, learned ancient hungarian runes, and im pretty sure the statue whispered my name at 3am.
no jumpscares. just pure, existential dread. the kind of horror that makes u check over ur shoulder while typing "urdung" into a search bar. the statue is stop-motion animated, so it moves with that weird jerky energy that makes ur brain go "thats not right". by minute 12, i had my headphones off and was holding the monitor at arm's length like a coward
hungarian folklore. did i know anything about hungarian folklore before this game? no. do i now know that urdung is a half-goat demon and mumush is basically the eastern european boogeyman? yes. i am insufferable at parties now. "actually, that is similar to a hungarian myth about-" and then everyone leaves. :(
there are 6 achievements if i am correct. one is for finding a fly. A FLY. i spent 45 minutes looking for that fly. when i found it, i cheered. then i remembered i was alone in my living room at 2am celebrating a digital insect.

Nice, short, and sweet game (I guess the last depends on how cute you find strange clay creations possible made for demon containment lol). It's quite simple, but the themes it explores are interesting if you're into history, folclore, archeology, and the process of exploring/research in general. ALSO, there's stop motion, so that's a big plus!
Hopefully we get to see another game developed by Balazs Ronyai in the future =) good job!

Terrific, drenched in atmosphere.
Not once did I feel like this game was overdoing it or was out of it's depth. The stop motion held it's ground to create a truly excellent experience, making you feel like you've been wrapped in a blanket of darkness. I would play many more of these, despite this game being quite a short one (this was a game jam submission), I would pay for a fully fleshed out creation with multiple archealogical episodes, possibly an anthology type game.
I also greatly appreciate the lack of information this game provides, you aren't having your hand held or being told how to do anything through a variety of hints. With there being zero voice-acting or even true dialogue with there only being an inner monologue at thte end of the game, I think it made you feel even more alone and desperate witht the ensuing climax.
I've already recommended this to others, please make more, I am invested heavily.

Fantastic premise for a horror game, and I love to see developer commentary so the DLC was a great addition. More investigation games should use a book / database to search through, it lets you know you're on the right track without just giving you the answers, plus it made me feel like I was actually doing research and unraveling a mystery.
If you ever make another game like this I would happily pay for it, especially if there was a note taking / evidence collection system like a journal you could drag and drop items in to make connections.
The atmosphere got so unsettling, it sent a shiver down my spine, I hated it! Good job! xD

Sinceramente, me ha sorprendido, me ha dado mucho miedo mientras jugaba el final, pensaba que no iba ser de terror, mas que un terror que no da miedo y mas de investigar una especie de artefacto o algo por el estilo, es muy corto claro, pero vale la pena jugarlo, 93/100.
