Not very fun tbh. The controls are atrocious and some achievements are annoying for what's supposed to be a free achievement game. I'd rather play with real life cats if I really love cats. If you really want some free achievements and steam cards then get it on a sale.

I hate to be that guy, but I don’t think The Cat Games is that great. In fact, I am very disappointed.

I don’t mind minigame collections, but what is on offer here is pretty weak. I found none of the 3 main offerings appealing, I was able to complete everything achievement-wise within less than 50 minutes, and then just ended up leaving the game on to get the Steam cards out of the deal. The indoor racing feels weird to control and the object randomisation feels unfair. The swim challenge just gave me anxiety because of everything that was going on, and then I figured out that you can just keep your cat up permanently if you just keep your mouse on them which means that the only thing stopping you from getting the highest score ever is your patience. And the cat breed billiards controls are weird especially if you have a second screen because it will let you hit the edge and then will force your mouse back in a way that makes the movement go all wonky, which is made even worse by the odd physics. Getting the birds seemed off as well, the visuals and the counting for it felt off and the same goes for catching the bugs. Honestly, I have nothing good to say about any of these minigames, I just found them at best to be boring after 2 minutes and at worst just unfun to play through and through. What I can say is it is all very cute; the little things you have to do for achievements stand out as cute little explorations that remind me of the activity center games of the 90s. I was very disappointed overall, though maybe it is internal??? It just seemed like everything either controlled sluggishly or uncomfortably, and so maybe it is just me, but I feel like it is more than that.

The sound design is also fairly weak. The cat noises and other sounds aren’t bad; however, I did not like the music. They are MIDI remakes of famous classical pieces, including two of my favorites, and it just doesn’t work for me; I felt like they took perfectly good music and gave it unfitting instruments. I turned off the sound pretty much immediately, to say the least.

Artistically I do like the game though. Simplicity can be bliss, and the simple art makes things very clear, creates a strong contrast, allows for the vibrant and fun color palette the game has, and gives the game a cute charm that I appreciate. The animations are limited but perfectly reasonable for a project of this caliber as well. Overall, I think that the art is where this game does the best.

You could do a lot worse than The Cat Games, but you can do a lot better. I would never buy this at full price, but if you want to support a cute game and are willing to take a bet that you will have fun with it, then be my guest. But I honestly don’t understand why this game is rated so high. It is cute, but those minigames sucked pretty bad. However, those badges and emoticons are pretty cute, so despite everything, I will be grabbing those; silver linings I guess.

Collection of horror games with clunky and uncomfortable controls:
• Story about cat that got kidnapped by people that keep dropping their pizza all over the floor, have no clue about interior design and obsessed with rubber ducks. In attempts of escaping it has to run in the longest hall in history, where it's trapped... forever;
• Cat getting waterboarded.
• And most gruesome of them all - billiards with chopped off cat's heads.
It might teach you cat breeds in the last game, unless you already know them all. It's also easy 100% achievements, but with how main gameplay is, I don't think it would be so bad if this game simply didn't exist to start with.

猫猫为主题的治愈小游戏。
一共分为室内运动，游泳挑战和猫咪血统台球三个小游戏。
台球模式用鼠标很难进行控制，用鼠标控制时，从上一球打完的状态到进入瞄准状态时，很难进行角度的调整，特别是窗口模式下，母球本身位于球桌边缘时更是难以控制。
大多数成就在标题界面的小游戏中就可以解锁。
整体而言，三个小游戏的操作手感都比较难以令人满意，也无法自定义按键，bgm的循环有问题，希望能进行修复或改善。

● Рисовка. Милая, приятная, соответствует основному замыслу игры. Набор цветов в игре также пришёлся по вкусу, глазкам не было больно (хотя оттенок красного стоило сделать чуть мягче).
● "Скрытые" мини-игры. Помимо трёх основных, есть дополнительные режимы игры, которые, как правило, проходятся довольно легко и быстро. Тем не менее, сам факт их наличия дополняет геймплей.
● Коллекционные карточки. Приятный бонус, благодаря которому можно вернуть часть от стоимости игры, либо скрафтить значок для профиля, докупив недостающие.
● Достижения. В зависимости от удачи, на 100% прохождение уйдёт не более двух-трёх часов. Есть ачивки, в получении которых могут возникнуть трудности, но для подавляющего большинства хватит нажатия на определённые кнопки.
● Котики. Без лишних слов, просто люблю усатых.
[u]Недостатки:[/u]
● Управление. Возлагать на мышку всё взаимодействие с игрой — не лучшее решение. Абсолютно во всех мини-играх, за исключением дополнительных, отвратное управление.
● Баги. Даже в такой, казалось бы, простой игре есть заметные технические недочёты. Так, например, при игре в кошачий бильярд, вращение кия — то ещё испытание, а шары живут своей жизнью, самостоятельно закатываясь в лунки.
● Короткий геймплей. Трёх основных режимов, как ни крути, мало. Игра быстро надоедает ввиду отсутствия разнообразия.

To beat a game for cats... One must become like a cat.

How dedicated are you at getting ALL the Achievements? Uncertain? Well your cat sure as hell can't (wont) do it... So YOU better step up!

So what if you can't remember which button makes you run up or down? So what if you don't know what any of the cat breeds are? And what is it to you if all you can do is shoot the damn white ball into the hole...? Majority of time. In billiards that is.

It doesn't matter. Because this game isn't for High Score enthusiasts. You don't NEED an overly High Score to get all the Achievements.

All you need is an inquisitive personality and willingness to click on everything or anything that moves... Perhaps even run headfirst into something?

This was a cute little collection of minigames. They are all very simple but cat themed!
The games operate on a high score system, so you’re encouraged to play each game a couple of times to beat your high score. The aesthetic with all the cats is very cute and simplistic.
Although I quite enjoyed my short time with it, that might be its highest downfall, for 2€ you basically only get around an hour or two of entertainment until the experience grows stale again, but if you’re able to grab it during a sale, it’s a definite recommendation from me!

The Cat Games is a wholesome game with 3 different arcade minigames and a little more.

First of all the cats, the graphics, the music and especially the sound effects are really cute. It is clear the person who made this game loves cats and it's not just based on the stereotypical aspect of cat ownership that people might expect from those type of games.

To make it brief, there are little Easter eggs/side achievements to get scattered across the game, there is an endless runner minigame, a minigame where you have help the cat balance itself so it doesn't fall in the bath by swiping at incoming items with the correct mouse button and a pool minigame where you have to identify cat breeds and push them inside the holes.

All 3 games are really different from one another, I personally like all but the pool minigame, but that's perhaps because I'm not very good at digital pool games. The gameplay is fluid, fun and you can always try to get a new highscore in all 3 modes if you desire to. The game is extremely short if you're going only for achievements, but otherwise you can expect it to last a solid hour before getting bored.

Overall, a fun and wholesome game at a cheap $2 price point.

The Cat Games is a collection of three games, the first is called Indoor Racing which I found to be the most fun. In it, you're in an endless living room avoiding furniture such as tables, chairs, and even water coolers while trying to increase your score that's also boosted by the longer you've survived.
The second and by far the most annoying due to the barrage of constant things being thrown at you is called Swim Challenge, the game itself doesn't involve swimming but it is a challenge.
The third game is called Cat Breed Billiards, which thankfully doesn't involve breeding cats but rather finding out what's the correct breed the question asks for. Due to the awkward controls, this game loses most of enjoyment, but it does slightly make up for it with the inclusion of ghost, raccoon, and owl balls that grant additional points.

There are technically three more hidden games, all of which are far shorter than the primary three games shown in the menu. One of which appears randomly in which you need to catch a bug as it runs across the screen, another is the whenever you achieve a new highscore, a balloon will appear and you can pop it, the third appears when you click on the window in the game menu, where you're able to "catch" birds. With the amount of variety this game has to offer, you're bound to like at least something.

I am 32 years old.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.

With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.

After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.

Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.

Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

A collection of three minigames with a cat theme, "The Cat Games" feels like the sort of game you'd have found on a flash game site and played for 5 minutes before moving on.

The three minigames are an endless runner, "left/right/both click on objects according to colour", and a billiards-trivia mashup with an awkward control scheme. Of the three, only the runner felt at all enjoyable, but not enough to justify playing it for more than a few minutes.

If the cat motif was taken away, nobody would play this game. If a game having cats is a selling point for you, there are better cat games out there.

This is a cute easy 100% achivement game with trading cards to collect about cats. You can get to 100% in less than an hour.

It contains cute mini games and some hidden archivements. Even after getting it to 100% still worth playing at work, travel or when you are bored and have nothing left to play.

But remember, its a collection of 3 minigames and one or two other very short things to do, so i would buy it in sale.

I rate it 3/5 because i love cats.

Tuff to decide wether to recommend or not.
Gonna say its a artstyle wise nice game, like how everything cat related ties good together. However besides 3 Mini Games that get repative pretty fast there is only one thing to do. Hunt for Achievements. They are not incredible hard to get, took me an hour to do so. Some require a little bit of luck and patient thats all.
Porblem I have in comparison to other games that try to the same, this game is quite pricy. Not gonna say 2€ is much, but an hour fun makes it quite a price enjoyment.
Propably dont have the balls to give the thumps down, so gonna say this. The game does what it tells it wants to do. Nothing more nothing less. Its fun for some moments, i hate the controls of the billiard mini game, some elements made me love and i got an easy game to 100%. Seems good enough for thumps up.

The Cat Games is, as it's name suggests, games within the game related to cats! There is indoor racing, swimming challenge aka bathtime and cat breed billiards! You can also do a few secondary mini games like birdwatching.

The soundtrack is relaxing and nice, the cat purring in the menu is wonderful and the achievements aren't too hard to complete. The graphics are lovely and the cats are, as always, very cute and adorable! Sadly the game can be completed quite quickly and I feel like there could have been more to the game if the devs really wanted there to be.

Now, I want to mention something about the controls. I was not happy with the fact that it's fully a mouse controlled game. Everything you do, you do with your mouse. It felt a little clunky in my hands and I would have preferred the choice of using my keyboard versus the mouse, or even both if possible.

For 2€ you get three cute games, few mini games and a bit of fun achievement hunting, so I think it's worth that atleast. Definitely recommended for cat lovers all around!

So i have mixed feelings about this one, if I could I would just give it a neutral... See positives and negatives and decide for yourself if it seems worth it

+ music is pretty relaxing
+ the cat purring sounds in main menu/screen! amazing, could have it in background just for that
+ cute, simple graphics
+ easy achievements
+ trading cards

- whole thing is just 3 minigames, which remind me of free browser games
- you move around using a mouse, controls are pretty weird sometimes, annoying. with one minigame i couldnt move cursor around, it would just jump and be hard to aim
- not much playability over 1,5 h needed to get all cards/achievements
