Great game!
I know this game can't be purchased through Steam anymore but I'm genuinely shocked by the mixed reviews. This is a very standard racing game. It's not doing anything revolutionary and it does have a rather "generic" presentation. But the game built around it is very good. The driving physics and handling feel great with a controller. The visuals are still surprisingly impressive to this day, especially in HDR on a nice (potentially OLED) display. And the career mode has a lot of events and tracks to race on.
Common complaints I am seeing are the lack of progression and tuning. Tuning is definitely in the game. It's not super in depth when compared to games like Forza MotorSport or Gran Turismo. This game isn't trying to be that, though. It's a fun half-arcade, half-sim racer that is about accessibility and fun first. Tuning works great here even if it's not a strong-suit. And the lack of progression I do not understand. You are constantly unlocking new events and accumulating currency and a nicely paced rate. It feels great to unlock a sports car event and buy a nice new Ford GT to crush the competition in. Are people hoping for RPG-style stat progression here? Forza MotorSport tried something sort of like that and got so much criticism for it!
Oh, and the AI is also pretty solid. They can be a little too aggressive in the city tracks. Otherwise, I enjoy racing the CPUs. Car damage is emulated well and the rival system, while nothing crazy special, is enjoyable and kinda justified if you drive recklessly. Like if you ram into someone at top speed, it's kind of cool that they might try to screw with you to get back into a better spot.
This isn't a crazy ambitious racer. But it's a solid and fun time. A perfect pallet cleanser game, if you will. I highly recommend finding a key for it or sailing the seas a bit for it if you're even remotely interested. I feel like people expect every game these days to be this near-perfect, industry changing experience. This is just a simple and fun racer. To me, that's awesome and I love it for that reason. Solid 8/10 imo.

GRID is the coolest race, really. It's very big and diverse.
You'll find a huge career mode with 104 events, each consisting of 1 to 4 races. But it seems to me that most of them were created just for the sake of it. The most fun for me were the GT races, followed by Invitational (various races in unique cars) and Touring (classic body races). I didn't really like the rest, as they are slow or feature boring cars.
There are about 80 licensed cars in the game, but you'll never even drive most of them, and you don't need to.
Also, the teammate and team system is worth mentioning separately. I honestly don't understand why it's needed, except for the extra money your teammate gets depending on their position. There's not much point in commanding them to attack or defend. Most of the time, these commands aren't really followed, so if you hire an experienced driver, they'll somehow fight their way up a couple of positions from their starting position.
The physics and controls are very good here; Codemasters are experts in their field and know racing simulators inside out. I was particularly convinced when I flipped a F1-style car over on the curb.
Overall, the game is super chill, there's plenty to do here. Turn on your favorite music and just cruise around the tracks, thanks to the green strip on the road that always tells you when to slow down and at what angle to enter a turn. The career mode is huge, and there are also 4 additional seasons (which is basically almost an entire career) that are added as DLC.
It feels like the game was made by real racing fans, but they were stifled by bureaucracy/the publisher/deadlines and couldn't perfect every aspect. However, anything that's unfinished can simply be ignored, and you can enjoy driving around the tracks, of which there are plenty.

GRID (2019) tries to be either a reboot or a reimagining of the series, but it’s not really bad — it’s just kind of not doing it at all.
• Playing is boring. Even if you look at GRID more like a simulator, there’s barely any fun. The series was never pure arcade, but that excuse doesn’t work here: the races feel flat, slow, repetitive, and totally lacking real thrill.
• Balance and difficulty are destroyed. On medium difficulty, it’s way too easy: opponents barely take risks, don’t block you, and don’t try to pass — they just group together and drive calmly (despite the rivalry system, where you’re supposed to bump into them). The only time tracks get any real challenge is when you’re in a slow clunker barely hitting 200 km/h. Turn the difficulty up a bit — and races get completely unfair: overtaking opponents becomes almost impossible.

• The progression and economy system gives you nothing. Yeah, the devs reworked how you earn money and added points for categories during races, and you can hire a team member—but they’re basically useless, and races aren’t any tougher without them. Money stacks up pretty fast without any VIP perks, so the promised depth of the economy system just falls flat.
• The modes and content have gone downhill. Instead of having a variety of modes (like drift duels or off-road overtakes), the game now only has sprints and circuit races. Many tracks are just simple copy-paste from GRID 2 with minor angle tweaks and track extensions. The feeling of laziness and cost-cutting is everywhere.
• DLCs and content cuts are frustrating and unacceptable. Half of the 2019 game’s content is locked behind DLC: seasons are put into a separate career—want to try it? Pay up! And the default career gets boring pretty quickly.
• No Russian localization. Seriously, what's the deal? There's not that much text in the game, so it's nonsense.

Sense of speed is bad; camera is WAY too stiff. No camera shake. No camera tilt. No camera impulse (pulling back, pushing forward). It's like those super autistic racing simulators in which the camera has absolutely no personality. I have no idea why racers are doing this, this trend needs to STOP. At least give me the option if I want a bonkers camera style of tons of shake, impulse and tilt. Just GIVE me the option. Don't release your racer with this bland AF camera style without any options to spice it up.
Car roster is solid. You shouldn't be disappointed

Physics are a great balance of "Simcade" I love Simcades. If you want an unforgiving, brutal experience, turn the assists off and turn to Hard. If you want something a bit easier, turn up the assists. It's still not a "tap brake to win" experience. You have to have throttle rhythm and braking skills. Apex is important. Cars have a solid since of weight and without assists, it's a completely unforgiving experience where your brakes will lock, you'll understeer like a MFer and if you crush your gas out of a corner, you're spinning TF out

This is the absolute weakest aspect of this game; Medium is unbelievably easy. Hard is literally impossible. On Medium, I don't even have to try to get 1st place. On Hard, I'm SWEATING to stay out of LAST. WTF. It's unbelievable how bad the difficulty balance is. The best way to counter this is to lower the Assists. But even then, once you start getting the muscle memory, you'll start stomping again
Honestly, it's a great game. It's just the difficulty. Which can be a game breaker. The sense of speed is also a problem that directly affects how satisfying the game is.
I see a lot of negative reviews moaning about how the car slides out too easily., especially on the red and white edge marker / rumble thing whatever its called. Really didn't bother me, if anything it adds to the challenge, as far as performance I have a modest old 8gb card and it runs at 60 most if not all the time including in rain. I have had dips but so rare I cant remember the last one. Good game and its cheap now

Grid series has lost its personality. The overall game feels bland and uninspiring.
The positive things are car choice, driving physics (overall ok, depends on taste) and tracks.
Somewhere in the middle is the AI. Sometimes it is ok and gives you a challenge and sometimes it does not have any spacial awarenes and just slams in to you while you are driving side by side.
And the negatives - voice acting and presentation. During the races you don't feel the excitement from around you. The 2 commentators do not give any race related information, the voice lines are so limited that "shifting through the gears, getting up to speed" could be heard at least twice during one 3 lap race. The worst offender is the "race engineer" or whoever talks to you during the race. The voice delivery is dry and uninspiring and the game could be better without a bored person telling obvious things.

Car list and track list are rather modest. But even though it's spin-friendly simcade, cars have weight and don't feel like on ice and floaty like in Forza games (be it Motorsport or Horizon). When you do spin out, it feels surprisingly natural. Also, AI is rather fast, especially compared to G: Legends.
If you're looking for a smaller scale, race focused thing with a gamepad because you're lazy to plug that wheel in, it'll do. 7.75/10.

这游戏没剧情没中文，但都是关卡制节奏非常迅速，加上优秀的画面以及比较友善的经济系统，辅以史低20元的定价简直是香爆了！手感方面轮胎的嘶吼声太容易触发了感觉是很滑的，这也是grid系列一贯的操作手感了，相比前作还更加抓地了一些。
车辆阵容还算丰富，比赛类型也非常齐全，但可惜的是砍掉了之前2代的漂移和山道赛。

Foi legal, mas é mais um jogo de corrida a ser fechado, creio que foi um dos ultimos grids que apesar de todos os defeitos ainda é um jogo jogavel, mesmo não funcionando direito, apesar de ser uma reciclagem dos anteriores sem muito de novo, (minha opinião pode ter sido afetada por conta de ter jogado os primeiros grids no ps3 que eram muito bons). Enfim, é mais um jogo que é facilmente esquecivel por não ter muito de novo. Além do jogo ser extremamente repetitivo, poucos tipos de evento tentando ser um jogo arcade e imitando o conteúdo de um simulador porém sendo totalmente arcade. Eu considero GRID 2019 um downgrade em questão de conteúdo ao grid 2, mas com um upgrade grafico, o jogo não possui quase nada de conteúdo, apenas repetição entediante do mesmo conteúdo o que o torna não dificil mas extremamente exaustivo de terminar.

El sistema de “Némesis” añade tensión: si choques mucho con alguien, ese rival puede volverse especialmente agresivo contigo.
Carreras rápidas y accesibles: Las carreras no son excesivamente largas, lo que viene bien para jugar sin comprometer demasiado tiempo. Ideal para partidas rápidas o cuando no quieres algo ultra exigente.

Sistema de daño / físicas no sobresalientes: Los choques, daños y colisiones no siempre transmiten bien una sensación realista de impacto — a muchos choques les falta “peso visual / físico”.
Modo carrera y multiplayer con limitaciones: La progresión y los modos extra (personalización, gestión de equipo, profundidad en carrera) son algo simplificados; el multiplayer tampoco tiene un componente comunitario muy robusto.
🎯 Mi veredicto final
GRID es un juego de conducción ideal si buscas diversión rápida, acción, variedad y un punto de realismo sin volverte loco con setups o física compleja. Perfecto para alguien que — como tú — disfruta de coches, velocidad y adrenalina, sin complicaciones extremas. Aun así, si lo que quieres es un “simulador hardcore”, probablemente te quede algo corto; y si esperas mil horas de contenido y profundidad como en juegos más grandes, también.
Para mí, es un título “de medio camino”: divertido, accesible, con sabor a carreras reales, pero sin pretensiones de simulador completo. Lo recomiendo para sesiones casuales o cuando quieres conducción directa sin complicaciones.

Would love to enjoy this game but whatever they tried with this game did not fit the spirit of the Grid series and most of the content feels like such a letdown. Especially graphic-wise, I cannot understand how can this game look worse then Grid Autosports did back in 2014.
il est plus agreable et plus beau que grid legend moins de contenu mais un meilleur feeling et des graphismes plus detailles . surtout les vues internes. si en plus vous ajoutez un peu de reshades du genre sharpen et colors et un flow motion nvidia , la c est royal . grid legend est a mon gout to much dans les rouges et jaunes dur a corriger. heuresement que je l avais achete car il n est plus dispo. tres triste pour un tel jeux.

this game is pretty good. i dont understand why everyone thinks its the worst but to be fair ive only played grid 2 demo way back in 2014. that aside this game does have some solid racing and i think it can be pretty fun. i kinda wish it was more chaotic on the track and the rival system is sorta pointless but that may be cause i have played many racers and know how to win. the intro also was awesome 7/10 would reccomend

游戏优化非常优秀，在pc端本作画面表现很好，雨天效果容易令人联想起ps4的驾驶俱乐部，在pc上面的雨水天气表现力算是rac的第一梯队。而且内饰细节有了巨大进步，不像前作汽车运动一样是车内一团马赛克。车损表现虽然没有前作那么夸张，但也算是不错。本作新加的复仇机制也很有特点，经常鱼雷的玩家一个弯惹毛两三个车手都是家常便饭，但是该这个机制的判定还是有一些问题，有时候是对手主动碰撞玩家车辆也会触发这个机制，有待改善。
对比前面几部作品，这一部除了画面表现优异以外其他方面并不算出彩，甚至有一些退步，总的来说包含下面几点：
奇怪的手感：和之前的超级房车赛的手感有着很大区别，谈不上硬核，也谈不上娱乐，部分车辆在高速过弯时会像肥皂一样飘来飘去，甚至有些车辆不开tc的话在上坡时经常spin，这种情况回溯也是家常便饭
鬼畜的ai难度：例如在一场time attack中玩家在第二圈还是维持第一，但是跑完比赛之后你会惊奇地发现你有可能会在第5名开外，而且第一名的ai还快了你将近5秒
过于缓慢的游戏加载速度：车辆模型加载很慢，比赛的时候甚至出现过涂装是一团马赛克的情况，有时在车库界面由于车辆涂装未更新会出现卡死情况，需要强退游戏重启
通关之后的感受就是这个游戏既满足不了硬核玩家的要求，刚入坑赛车游戏的玩家估计也会在枯燥无聊的重复刷图中被劝退。游戏本身忽略了很多细节。没能继承之前的作品的一些优秀的特点，而且让人游玩的关键——简体中文，这款游戏也没有。这些缺点足以导致玩家没有热情能坚持到最后，最终的归宿可能就是被扔到库存里面吃灰

Dodatkowo jest jeszcze sporo opcji, które można dołączyć do gry np. takie rzeczy jak kierownice, shiftery i inne kontrolery. Gra daje Nam wiele możliwości rozgrywekj, zmiany jednostek i innych . Z czystym sumieniem polecam tą grę . W mojej opinii 10/10

Really well made racing game
GRID 2019 is not a bad game, it runs pretty well, the driving feels great, the visuals are stunning... but it feels like a shell of its former self. It's been streamlined and stripped of everything that made it stand out in my eyes, until there was nothing left but selecting a race and completing it to unlock the next race.
Racedriver GRID (2008) had so much personality. The big 3D menus, the narrator, your garage that gradually expands with your own crew, the music that played on the last lap and changed in your garage as you progressed through the game, the sponsor mechanic which added extra challenges for a bit more money AND showed up on your car as a decal, the ability to choose a nickname that the announcers could read out, the different announcers for each region, drifting competitions, rival teams, buying a car second hand, your radio calling out the names of people who crashed or other relevant info...
All of that is gone now. There's the same 2 commentators on every track, and they say the same few lines over and over. There's one song that plays when you win a race. No more sponsors, no more garage, just a menu with a list of races. It feels soulless in comparison. just racing the same handful of tracks with different cars. Like there's only the bare minimum to make the game playable.
What also sucks is that games in this series are constantly de-listed from stores due to "license expiry". The only way to buy older games is through second hand (on consoles) or shady key resellers. I doubt this game will be the exception.

i find the game to be a fun experience. I wouldn't label it as a sim racer, but enough to keep entertained. Been playing on controller and haven't tried it on a wheel/ pedals.

This game was the perfect “in between” regarding the balance between pure arcade racing and simulation. It was always very straightforward, no promises being made to the player as a pure arcade game nor something in the simulator area. In fact they state it’s a game for everyone because you can start with this game as one of your first racing games and you can increase your challenge as you move on and feel more comfortable with the controls.
However, all good things come to an end. And while I had great fun with the game, GRID (2019) is another one to be part of the past and the history of racing games as it is no longer possible to purchase this game on PC (at least on Steam). It really nailed the fun aspect. You jump in, select a race from a different class and you start the race. This is a very simple idea but it’s one that I miss the most in all games as a service that we have today. Right from the start the game shows you what races there are to play. And from that point you can start cleaning them up as there are a bit more that 100 races, some with 3 or 4 rounds.
Some ideas, like the nemesis system where if you push too hard a racer, they will remember and hit you harder in the next corner (if they get the chance) proves how simulation is not really part of the game. You have a fair bit of different classes to keep things interesting and with variety and at the 20-21 hour mark I had pretty much cleaned the races available. As this game is no longer possible to purchase, the chance of the remaining DLC becomes once again, part of history.
Performance wise it ran great. With a steady 60 fps at 1080p I had a great time playing without a single crash. There was, however, an issue where the game went back to the desktop and to the game window over and over. The only solution I found was to turn off my monitor and then back on. I believe this is an issue with this game since no other game or app creates this behaviour with my monitor. Aside from that I played without issues with visuals that still hold up to this day. Races at dawn, night and rain feel great and while I love racing games with heavy rain I noticed in some tracks that when you enter a tunnel, it keeps raining from the skies as if there was no physical tunnel. Ta gra jest jak kurczak z bananem ni to słone ni to słodkie , ni to dobre ni to złe. Po dwóch godzinach rozgrywki mam mocno mieszane uczucia , całość sama w sobie nie jest absolutnie zła (mnie to zwyczajnie nie podchodzi). Tak jakby chcieć zmieszać need for speeda z gran turismo. Kariera już od samego początku jest nijaka , ogólne polskie tłumaczenie łącznie z dubbingiem tak samo , hamulce są nieprzyjemne i niestabilne , ai jest słabe , a mechanika npc jaką jest "nemesis" zwyczajnie ssie. Najlepsza rzecz w tej grze to okładka na steamie prezentująca moje ulubione bugatti veyron , bo cała reszta jest mocno przeciętna.
