Я облазила весь интернет и миллион гайдов для того что бы получить последнюю ачивку с чашками чая, а все потому что кружка с чайником в одной из локаций просто не подсвечивается как кликабельная и вписана в интерьер так что даже не понятно что это подобие чайника, и все руководства расплывчато намекают что где то там в игре точно есть все чашки.
Так что я создала свое руководство с пошаговым прохождением и сбором всех ачивок и НЕ кликабельного чайника.

🇫🇷 Une suite réussie et toujours aussi décalée

Ce deuxième épisode est une bonne suite du premier chapitre.
L’aventure est plus longue, plus absurde encore, et toujours portée par une ambiance victorienne délicieusement étrange.

Il faut bien sûr apprécier ce type d’univers loufoque et l’humour très british pour y adhérer, mais si c’est le cas, le voyage en vaut la peine.

Dommage que le studio n’ait jamais poursuivi l’aventure avec un troisième épisode.
J’ai vraiment apprécié ce petit voyage dans le temps et dans leur univers si particulier.

You do have to enjoy this kind of weird, British humor and setting — but if you do, the journey is well worth it.

Still, I truly enjoyed this little time-travel trip into their unique world.

Честно говоря, игра не очень. Первая часть хоть и была совсем коротенькой, но качественнее. При чем во всех аспектах. Сюжет здесь более бессвязный. Так и хочется спросить "ну и что?", многое можно убрать и не заметить разницы. Тема не раскрыта. Передвижение персонажей оооочень медленное, управление не всегда удобное. Головоломки не такие логичные, довольно скучные, а местами без поиска подсказок в руководствах и не пройдёшь - если в первой части каждая головоломка была примерно в приделах 1-2 страниц, как мы теперь вдруг должны сами догадаться оббежать пол города? Игра багучая как я не знаю
[spoiler] И я на всё забила, если бы финал был нормальный! Серьезно? Мы столько гонялись за этим уродом, чтобы он оказался убийцей просто по приколу. Никакой связи со всеми остальными событиями в игре у него нет совсем. Его в итоге утащил совершенно рандомный краб, как рояль из кустов! и нам даже не показали Шерлока в платье!?!?! [/spoiler]
Из любопытсва, можно взять по хорошей акции, наверно, если вы любите point & click и если вам понравилась первая часть. Но за полную цену точно нет!!! язык не повернется ее рекомендовать, я удовольствия не получила

Приключение с забавной рисовкой. Стало чуть менее жестоким, чем в первой части. Никакой рачленёнки. Но зато длиннее в два раза. Небольшие мини-игры с побегушками из первой части тут тоже пропали. Конец глупый.
Главный недостаток, это вестница Дибиллина, которую игра всё настойчивее навязывает в напарницы. И которая, как видно, должна представлять нынешних феминисток в Англии 19 века. Похожа на говно-белку из Губки Боба. Раз это феминистская пропаганда, то я никому это советовать не могу. Следующие части, если они выйдут, покупать не буду.

Bertram Fiddle 2 was a huge upgrade from the first title. This game was way longer, had more depth, better animations, music, storytelling, more references, arguably better puns etc. but it lacked in quality. It had a lot of bugs, none of them game breaking, but i don't know why they still haven't been fixed yet.

This is my personal list of bugs, all experienced in 1 single playthrough:

[b]Dialogue bugs: [/b]
- skips, cuts and repetitions, delays, weird timing, missing dialogue, mouths not moving.

[b]Missing features:[/b]
- higher refresh rates. (it seemed like the game was stuck at 60hz.)
- almost no settings. you can only change audio, music and subtitles.

[b]Other bugs:[/b]
- action circles doesn't always refresh upon entering a new state. sometimes they stay on screen even after you've already picked up the item.
- bertram fiddle's head disappears in one area.

[b]Game design:[/b]
- gavin's peru lines become tedious near the end.
- inventory feels clunky. sometimes it doesn't register you trying to merge items; and it pulls back when talking to NPC's.
- you can't replay individual chapters after finishing the game. i then made a new save and spawned at the end inside the soap factory. so you start in the same location but at the last chapter. that has to be a bug.
- sometimes gavin doesn't follow you around and even near the end at the boat he prevents you from sailing back. luckily it's not game breaking but you need to try a few times to make bertram enter the boat.
- tea achievement is still broken to this day as far as i'm aware. I got 4/5 as well as many others. it makes me not want to 100% this game.

Unfortunately didn't like this one unlike the first game. I found the puzzles quite difficult and the game has a lot of bugs. Sometimes the interface would freeze and the only way to fix it was to go to the main menu and reload. However, the game doesn't save all progress made, it seems to only save at certain points. Such as I completed all the phone calls except one when the game froze and I couldn't move the connections. I reloaded and then I had to remake all but one call.
There's also some dialogue skipping bugs where the characters don't finish their lines.

Aus deutscher Sicht hat mich der britische Humor nur ganz selten zum lachen gebracht, da er in diesem Spiel meist aus plumpen Wortspielen besteht. Ab und an hat mich der mehr oder weniger düstere Humor zum lachen gebracht, welcher hin und wieder stattfand und an den schwarzen Humor der Deponia-Reihe erinnert.

ABER, die Synchronisation ist ein großer Pluspunkt! Viele Rollen wurden scheinbar von einer Person gesprochen. Die Leistung erreicht aber immer ein sehr hohes Niveau! In Summe fällt es nicht Negativ auf und trägt zum Charme einen erheblichen Teil bei.

Der technische Teil ist auch 8 Jahre nach Release durchwachsen. Mal Entwickler-Kommentare, welche in bestimmten Situationen bei Interaktionen auftauchen, Dialoge mit langen Pausen, teilst fehlende Vertonung, teilst undurchsichtiges Inventar-System (Ich sage nur Dornenbusch).
Allerdings bin ich nicht auf Game-Breaking-Bugs gestoßen, wie es scheinbar immer noch Leute tun.

Aus dem Grund gebe ich dem Spiel eine 6/10 und kann es einigermaßen gut Empfehlen.

Anmerkung: Anders als in Teil 1 fühlt sich die Maus-Steuerung schwammig an, als würde die Maus auf erheblich weniger FPS laufen. Sie zieht verzögert hinterher!

L'épisode 1 était juste génial, j'ai vraiment adoré l'univers et l'humour de ce jeu.

Malheureusement l'épisode 2 est entaché de nombreux bugs qui vous sortent du jeu (sous titres russes dans une scène, jeu qui se bloque sans que vous puissiez plus rien faire, animations et dialogues avec parfois des bugs) et même au niveau du scénario l'épisode 2 m'a déçu même pour un jeu se voulant absurde on voit que ça été totalement bâclé.

C'est dommage le jeu semble laissé à l'abandon et n'aura probablement jamais de suite.

Mais je suis obligé de mettre un pouce bleu car cette série avait un immense potentiel que l'on peut voir dans l'épisode 1 bien qu'il soit très court (à peine 2 h pour l'épisode 1).

If you don't care about potential bugs and an unfinished game, then it's actually pretty fun.
It's longer than the first one, and while the animation and humor is good, there are multiple things that are unfinished. Some unvoiced dialogue, some incomplete animations, a few weird bugs, some missing dialogue. Some of the puzzles are kind of strange,,,, so I think they didn't really play test them very well.

The ending is also abrupt and feels like it comes out of nowhere. It makes me think they cut some things out that would have explained it better.

I actually enjoyed it, but was disappointed that they never fixed all the problems, even years after release.

Bertram Fiddle Part 2 is a lot bigger than Part 1 (9hrs compared to 1.5), with the same art style and humour. Puzzles are fun, only the hand print puzzle didn't make sense. Your assistant Gavin will give hints as you go along. A lot of the negative reviews are for a previous version which has been fixed. Sometimes the lip sync doesn't match up, but that's a minor problem. I'd recommend getting both games.

Such a fun game. Cute illustration style and SO many puns! I also enjoyed the in-game music. A little laggy at times and a little buggy (can't get Tea Connoisseur no matter how much tea I make Bertram drink from each pot), but I would definitely play it again and can't wait for the third episode.

- Nice colourful graphics
- Good puzzle design
- Great voice acting
- Fun dialog with lots of puns
- Interesting story
- Hot spot reveal tool

Cons

- Lots of little visual and audio glitches such as missing animations (especially lip syncing) missing voice acting etc.
- Frequent issues giving controls to the secondary character having to re-issue commands multiple times
- On one occasion the UI completely broke and the game was essentially froze and I had to restart
- The hotspot tool is appreciated but its very subtle, still easy to miss spots.

Overall its a decent game but let down by some bugs. Still recommended.

A much better game than the Episode 1. Now with proper puzzles, an enjoyable story that actually feels like something, and more puns and references.

It is still not a quite perfect game, dialogues, interactions and animations constantly bug out and while it's not on the level of being in an unplayable status(at least it was fine for me to progress till the end), it can certainly be distracting enough to drop to a certain crowd.

Consider the first one as a long introduction for the core characters, because that's what it is and nothing more. If you aren't particularly interested, just skip the first one altogether and only play this one, and that'll be enough.

Pretty visuals, interesting characters, varying locations per chapters and plenty of word jokes, I enjoyed this game for what it is. I recommend.

Итак, вторая часть культовой саги Антона Павловича Чехова. Сразу скажу — вторая часть заметно прибавила в качестве и закончила историю первой части. Постараюсь сравнить обе игры.

[b]Сюжет и продолжительность[/b]. Сюжет стал более интересным, как минимум потому, что значительно увеличилось время прохождения и количество персонажей. Естественно, на этом фоне и диалоги стали куда более интересными. Местами пробивало на [i]«похохотать»[/i], что, несомненно, плюс. Ну а продолжительность [b]Adventures of Bertram Fiddle 2: A Bleaker Predicklement[/b] увеличилась до 3-5 часов.

[b]Загадки.[/b] Стали сложнее. Это объясняется и обилием элементов, доступных для взаимодействия, и интересным подходом к решению загадок. Однако встречаются моменты, характерные для жанра головоломок, вводящие в ступор: решение некоторых загадок очевидно почти сразу, но реализовать то или иное действие не получается, потому что разработчики хотят, чтобы вы или выполнили определённую последовательность действий, или сначала поговорили с персонажем (и только потом использовали предмет), или преобразовали уже имеющийся в инвентаре предмет (и только потом его использовали). Такие раздражающие эпизоды встречаются достаточно редко, но застопорить прохождение способны. Собственно, поэтому мне пришлось несколько раз [i]«яндексить»[/i] прохождение, хотя с первой частью такого не было.

[b]Картинка.[/b] Графика такая же мультяшная, но появились более детальные задники и изменились анимации. В первой части они были кривыми, здесь же — стали более проработанными, хотя проблемы всё же есть: пропадающая анимация рта при разговоре, странная анимация перемещения по лестнице и т. д.

[b]Ну и так по мелочи.[/b] [u]Достижения[/u] — простенькие, парочку пропустил, но во втором прохождении забрал уже все. [u]Музыка[/u] — фоновая, не мешалась, не запомнилась. [u]Озвучка[/u] — хорошая, соответствует характеру персонажей. [u]Перевод[/u] — нормальный, хотя в первой части был похуже. Да в общем-то и всё…

Хорошая графика, логичные головоломки, приятные анимации. И хороший перевод.

Вторая часть во всём разочаровала. Обычно можно проследить, как улучшается продукт разработчика. Каждая последующая часть лучше, но не в этом случае.

Всё выглядит так, будто первую часть специально отполировали и сделали насыщенной и интересной, чтобы потом впарить этот недоделанный продукт.

Первая часть 10 шерлоков из 10.

А эта часть, выглядит как средний квест из 90х. Даже доигрывать не хочется.

A mediocre sequel riddled with bugs. If you though the first game was good but not great you can definitely skip this one. The only real positive I can mention is that the playtime is much longer than the original.

Bugs include but are not limited to:
Characters speaking in other characters' voices, animations not playing, characters clipping over foregrounds layers and behind background layers, exit screens not working, characters walking in place, character talking over each other, stretched and pixelated images, placeholder art/animation not replaced with final version, bugged Steam Achievement.

There's no excuse for this game still existing in this state 6 years post-release.

I first played Bertram Fiddle 1 about 5 years ago, and I remembered it being fun, so I picked up part 2 for cheap during the Steam summer sale in the 'complete your collection' bundle. Before playing it I replayed part 1, which I didn't remember much about. It was fine. Nothing great, but a reasonably entertaining quick playthrough taking only about an hour and a half. Part 2 did complete the story but, unfortunately, was much worse and not much fun at all really. It's about 3 or 4 times longer than the first part, and that did it no favors. The bad voice acting and unfunny humor gets to be much more annoying as it drags on in the much longer game.

And the puzzles in part 2 are much worse. They're mostly nonsensical and/or require excessive backtracking through the unnecessarily large environments. The six chapters all have more separate locations than they need, many of which have nothing in them and just force you to walk through them over and over doing the puzzles. And the regular walking speed is insanely slow. Thankfully you can double click to run, but that basically means all movement requires double clicking not to be aggravating, which gets annoying quickly. And double clicking exits doesn't result in immediate screen exit; you still have to run across lots of empty environments in all the backtracking.

Adding to those wastes of time greatly is the completely pointless chapter 5. It's a sidetrack that has almost nothing to do with the main story, contains many of the game's worst puzzles in a game full of bad puzzles, and it brings in an HP Lovecraft theme that isn't incorporated in an interesting or original way and has nothing to do with anything else going on in the game.

I didn't personally experience any major game-breaking bugs, but as anyone glancing at the Steam reviews can see, this is a major, widespread problem for many players that was never fixed by the now defunct developers.

Bigger, better, and lasts longer (that's what she said) than the first game. Filled with more puns (which is one of the best uses of a hint system that I've seen) and references to famous Victorian stories than the first episode. Hopefully more adventuring is in Bertram Fiddle's future. 8.5/10

It's certainly more amusing (constant smile with a couple of belly laughs,) and the gameplay is more elaborate, the puzzles less straightforward, better. Visual and sound as catchy as before.

Negative reviews mention bugs, but I didn't catch any. Take your chances if you're into Point n' Clicks.

Hier ist man als Bertram Fiddle ohne Gavin unterwegs und versucht Sherlock Holmes und Dr. John H. Watson zu schlagen. Wobei? Nun es geht darum den Serienkiller Geoff der Mörder zu schnappen. Der Verlierer muss in Frauenkleider auf der Straße herumlaufe. Wen das kein anreiz ist zu gewinnen dann weiß ich auch nicht. Gavin stößt hier erst ein Paar Akte Später zu uns. Das ganze wird in insgesamt 6 Akten erarbeitet. Und man bringt die schrägen Figuren nicht nur durch ganz London mit den verschiedensten Aufgaben, sondern auch auf das Land. Warum? Nun Sherlock Holmes ist Sauer das wir in Teil 1 gewonnen haben und lässt uns in das Gefängnis werfen. Äußerst unfair der Gute. Auch der Diener darf wieder regelmäßig alle schweren Dinge bewegen. Schön ist das die Rätzel zum Teil schwerer sind als in Teil 1.

I really liked the first episode Bertram Fiddle. Buy that one, but give this one a miss. It's buggy and the puzzles have you running around picking up objects to combine into overly complicated tools. Even with the puns and dialogue, which is a plus, it bogs down so much, it loses the fun aspect.

Потрясающая игра! Прекрасный визуальный стиль, самобытная атмосфера викторианской эпохи и выразительные интересные персонажи. Вплетенные отсылки бесподобны, а каламбуры - нечто.
Так что эта игра идеально подойдет для любителей британского юмора.
По сравнению с первой частью, эта стала масштабнее, стало больше локаций и персонажей. Сам сюжет стал ещё интереснее и увлекательнее.
Если говорить о недостатках: местами встречаются баги, например, кликабельный предмет перестает быть кликабельным, пропадает звук или изображение персонажа двоится. Но для маленькой игры в таком жанре, я считаю, это не страшно и ничуть не рушит впечатление от прохождения.
Из более серьёзных минусов хочу отметить чудовищные русские субтитры, сделанные не только с ошибками перевода и без сохранения шуток, но и в принципе с грамматическими ошибками и опечатками. Делавшему субтитры - позор за такую халтуру.
Саму игру же однозначно рекомендую!

Solving this was not as easy as the first one, but still - it was simple enough.
The "make your own meat friend" mini-game was weird and funny at the same time and I made 4 cute little friends xD

Note: If you want to complete all the achievements in your first run, you need to skip nothing and always give the wrong items first! Or else you are gonna need a second run to collect them - like myself!

This is over double the size of the last episode, and while it is a slicker, more complex affair, it's also less enjoyable and commits a few point and click sins that Episode 1 avoided. It's still enjoyable, and the dialogue/plot is still witty and humourous, but it is definitely not as good as the first, shorter installment.

So, while the first episode's puzzles were simple and intuitive and didn't require a ton of backtracking, this one has several puzzles that are (regrettably) more convoluted, with some unintuitive leaps that the player is required to do to suss out the solution, and a whole BUNCH of backtracking and combining multiple steps across several screens to get a solution. While I'm sure this is a bonus for hard-core point and click fans, it's a real drag on both enjoyment and forward game/plot momentum for me.

The plot is just as enjoyable, although certain elements are introduced right out of left field, and it generally drags on a bit too long.

The lip-syncing and even on screen actions are kinda naff (many was the time that a character would say something and their lips wouldn't move at all, or I would instigate an action and there would be a sound-effect for said action and the character would just stand there not doing anything) as well.

All in all, while it is still enjoyable, and I still recommend it, it is a lesser game than its shorter, simpler predecessor.

I mildly recommend this game, but only mildly. I remember loving the first game very much and really anticipating the second installment. Then it came, I bought it and the bugs were so overwhelming that I couldn't finish it. I remember reading the creators saying that we should recommend it so that more people bought it so they would have the money to fix the bugs. Which is quite terrible, really. Tricking people?

Anyway, some 3 years later I decided to try it again. There are certainly still bugs, but I had no issues with actually finishing the game and it was fairly entertaining. But I would say that maybe only buy this if you are very rich and/or it's on sale. Don't spend your few, hard-earned coins on this as a special treat. You know?

This game is a great point and click and passes the time nicely. Yeah there are some bugs but I've completed this game about 4 times now and never had a bug that stopped me from progressing forward. The game was meant to be over 3 instalments originally but they decided to put part 2 and 3 together into this game so it is considerably longer than the first game. However i don't think its worth the full price cost, best to wait until its on sale.

Popping in with a review in 2021 saying yeah, they never fixed all the terrible bugs. Some game-breaking, some just irritating, other reviews have described them but I'm just posting in case you check the game out in the future and think "well surely they eventually fixed the bugs, right?"

As for the game itself, eh, its more of the same from the first game, which is to say its got a charming artstyle and a sense of humor that is really a matter of your personal taste. The puzzles are that irritating nonsensical kind you can expect from older adventure games, so its a matter of how high your tolerance is for that stuff. Mine is pretty high which is why I was able to beat it. I had to consult a walkthrough twice, once to find the precise sequence of choices that would prevent the game from bugging out completely, and once for a puzzle that involved exhausting all dialogue with a certain character, which didn't occur to me since that never happens any other time in the game.

The ending felt really comically rushed together, and the broken animations didn't help it. I can't recommend this game, sorry.

Fajna historia, świetne udźwiękowienie, dialogi i gry słowne.

Gra jest bardzo zbugowana, ale całe szczęście udało mi się ją przejść.

Na początku pewna akcja nie została przez grę zarejestrowana jako wykonana i musiałem zacząć grę od nowa. Często nie uruchamiają się animacje ruchu ust, a niektóre grafiki wyświetlają się w złej kolejności przez co na przykład danie znajduje się za talerzem zamiast na nim. Niektóre grafiki w ogóle się nie wyświetlają przez co jakaś postać na przykład nie ma głowy albo nie widać podpowiedzi do zagadki. Innym razem nie słychać wypowiadanej kwestii dialogowej i widać tylko napisy. Niektóre osiągnięcia są zepsute.

Remember that scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, where Billie has to put her arm into that bug infested hole? That hole is this game.

Sure it's got a great story, great characters, lots of fun. But I have had to restart the game several times due to game ending bugs (machines not lighting up, the robot not doing what it should etc.) not to mention the bugs throughout the whole game (characters animations missing, voices missing, scene elements shifting/merging together. The game auto-saves so there's no way around it.

Also, I could only justify buying this on a super sale, because these 'episodes' are short...

The game was ok as a point and click adventure, but the enjoyment was really ruined by how buggy the gameplay was. You couldn't just click around to figure out what to do, because some wrong clicks my prevent the game from registering that you'd done a necessary thing, or not spawn a necessary item no matter what you did afterward. There were also several occasions when I was actually doing what I was supposed to to solve a puzzle, but because I didn't click the EXACT CORRECT SPOT (collision wasn't quite right) it didn't take, so I thought I was doing it wrong. When I looked up how to solve the puzzle in frustration, it turned out that, no, I had figured it out. I just needed to click a millimeter to the left.
There were also a few spots where people's mouths moved, but there was no audio, or there was audio but people's mouths didn't move. Animations didn't quite synch up, and achievements didn't work, so you ended up with items you didn't need that *seemed* like they should be important, but weren't.

I feel like this game was really rushed out the door, which hurt the quality significantly.

Aside from that, I have one major, less objective gripe: the character of Gavin feels .... really uncomfortable to me. He's a super-strong, cheerfully subservient Peruvian cyclops (why a cyclops? who knows) who's main purpose in the game is to be really strong so you can move and lift certain things via him, and recite 'Peruivian sayings' - nonsense fake proverbs that are supposed to give clues, in what sounds like a very fake stereotypical South American accent. All of the characters have a bit of a mean-spirited humor to them, though most of them are done in a 'poking fun at the trope' sort of way. But Gavin is presented without any sense of that 'we're parodying this theme from an actual Victorian story' framing, and it actually made me consider not finishing either the first or second game, despite having already paid for both up front. Why is he Peruvian? Because reasons. Why is he happily subservient and submissive to his employer? Reasons. There's no in-game reason for this in the first or second game, he just *is*. It feels a bit casually racist, and the game just seems blissfully unaware of it.
I think it would've made me less uncomfortable if there had been any other non-stereotyped non-white-British characters in the game to balance him out, or if at least he'd been framed in such a way that it was obviously meant to be tongue-in-cheek... but neither was true. Gavin being Peruvian for no apparent reason just feels like the sort of casual 'well of course they're going to be *servant* they're from Peru!' mentality of an actual Victorian, without that needed riff of irony that many of the other snarked-on characters get.
Since the character is so prominent in the game it really started to wear on me.

Given all this, plus my general 'meh, B+' feeling about the rest of the game, even if I ignore the numerous bugs... I can't really recommend it to anyone. I like the sort of game it was trying to be, but I just didn't really care for this game's version of that genre.
