This is a very fun game to play with friends. The mind games get WILD, and the post-mortem discussion of a tense match is as enjoyable as the play of it was.
Не советую. При попытке запуска случайной миссии игра вылетает. Нет русс языка и нет адекватного руссификатора. Хоть и на английском за 1-1.5ч +- всё понятно играется не интуитивно вообще. Сама по себе игра максимально унылая как игра за 900 руб.
Если хочется поиграть во что-то подобное, то лучше запустить West Hunt или With It

This game is incredibly simple, but still has a high level of enjoyment. Allows for a good conversation while playing something in the background. Perfect game to play while chatting with my kid in college.
For a game billed as competitive hide-and-seek it is surprisingly deep with enough potential options to keep a potential sniper second guessing themselves at the sheer guile the spies can offer.

Surprisingly addictive and chill.
Note that the price right now is set like this is because (at least I think) that the dev wants to gatekeep the new players for now, because 1. The game is not polished enough and 2. It's appealing to only a few types of people.
I recommend buying this game only if: 1. you know enough about it (watched tournaments, read the manual, etc.) and 2. You definitely sure and know that this will be a game for you. or 3, if You have a loyal friend to play with.
Either way, it's one of it's kind and there is still hope that this will eventually release as a full game.

I want one thing...Maximum a 12€ price tag. This game is fun but overpriced. And for 4 years it was abandoned. Even if the dev(s) is(are) doing plus features and QoL updates this should not be a 24.5€ game

my husband and i have been playing this game since 2020. its so fun to play especially on a cozy rainy day when you have nothing else to do. its such a rush when you get away with swaping a statue or purloining a guest list! and so satisfying when you catch the spy red handed <3

Really fun game, but not worth it for the high price point. $25 per person is insane for the state the game is in currently. There's also a very low likelihood of the dev ever actually "finishing" the game, let alone adding any more interesting features. Maybe check back in another five years and see if anything's changed.

Хорошая игра на вечер-два на двоих. Игра довольно однообразна и требует изнуряющего внимания со стороны обоих игроков. На момент написания данного обзора игра находится уже 7 лет в раннем доступе. Разработчики где-то раз в полгода выпускают багфиксы. Цена на игру сейчас сильно завышена с учетом того, что чтобы в нее поиграть вдвоем, нужно чтобы оба купили игру.
В результате игра оставляет следующее впечатление:
* Игра хороша на один вечер
* Как и Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes предлагает интенсивный ассиметричный геймплей
* Довольно быстро надоедает из-за однообразности заданий
* Цена завышена (12.5$ или 880 руб на одну копию, 25$ или 1760 за две если собираетесь играть вдвоем). В то же время KTaNE стоит 8$ или 550 руб за копию + бесплатный мануал.

Great game but it's not worth the money just to play MP, and it's abandonware, the devs recently did a nothingburger patch to remove the abandonware auto-tag off stream. Kinda scummy behaviour.
Good fun. It had been abandoned for years, and the dev has only recently come back with a non-change that they promise will lead to changes in future, but to be honest, the game is great as it is. If you can convince a friend to get this, it's a good way to kill a couple hours.
Game with potential, but without much support, I cannot find a good reason that justifies current price. It's a nice party game for a great saturday night fun. Many games probably have done better in sales, and allowed more players to experience, precisely because the entry point is lower.
I paid for it, and barely played as I cannot convince others to join. And I honestly do not blame that decision, therefore, cannot recommend as a good purchase

Incredible game. The easter eggs (the character and venue designs) are wonderful. The game mechanics are mature and deep. The community is both welcoming and professional(!). Active players are few and far between (spread across the globe), but there is an active discord in English. Overall, well worth the money!! It took me a lot of time watching content before I actually made up my mind to buy the game.
However, if you're thinking about joining, try to convince a friend to join with you, because players are sparse and often paired off, so looking for game is sometimes a pain if you enjoy spy side. Recently live sniping is added so if you enjoy sniping you basically cannot run out of games.
Fun game but extremely difficult to recommend at this price. You need a friend to play with as the lobbies are pretty inactive. But good luck trying to convince a friend to buy at this price.

Game is not worth 25 dollars and has been dead for years without a sale or update. The dev released a patch only to remove the abandonedware label. This game is a scam and not worth your time or money you would have better luck playing a Minecraft game mode with a similar concept.

The Spy:
Really fun game that is unlike anything else out there. There are games that kinda do something similar, but none have the depth and detail that this one does. Its incredibly fun and while development has been quite slow, its well worth the price in its current state IMO.

The game seems to be getting updates once again, but it's too early to say for sure, so I'm going to leave my review as negative for the moment. I still think the price is a bit too steep, at least when it comes to my local regional price.
Fun game but still unfinished after almost 10 years of Early Access. Some parts of the UI are just at the prototype stage, and the game doesn't scale well on 1920x1080 or higher. The gameplay on the other hand is very well thought and this game would be promising if it were not for the absurdly high price.
I would say it's worth 5-10 euros maybe, especially since you need to be 2 players (so twice the price) to play. And this is if the game had been updated in the last years, which it hasn't.

This game is amazing and so much fun but its so expensive for how little content the game actually has that barely anyone plays or even wants to try! Feels like a waste of money because I have no one to play with because of the price.

I have followed the game since the very start, way back before this project was on Steam. Don't get me wrong, my negative review isn't me indicating the game isn't worth playing- but at the current price, and with no updates since 2018? It's hard to recommend this game to anyone at all at this point.
Save your money, and wait until someone else picks up this fantastic idea of a game and re-shapes it into a true success story.

If he is, it's four years of work wasted, cause he's got NOTHING to show for it. Consider it abandonware until action is taken. Don't listen to the dev's cries of "soon" cause soon never comes...
Update: Steam added a tag for games that haven't received updates in a while. So the game got it's first update in 4 years. A small one, just enough to get rid of the notification on the store page. Anyone calling this out is getting flamed by the dev. Classy.

Over 10 years ago, sometime in the summer of 2013, a friend from middle school send me a link and asked me to try out this new and never heard of alpha game that he bought for me as a backer. The link took me to a website that looked to me like something straight out of the 90's. This website was for the game SpyParty. So I make an account, download the game and we began playing it. We must've clocked in about 4-6 hours of playtime together. Not a lot of hours, but they were very very fun and memorable hours.
Fast forward 12 years later. With the distractions and stresses of life filling my mind for the last decade, I had long forgotten this game even existed. It's now 3 in the morning and i'm in bed, on my phone, watching random youtube videos. I stumble upon a videogamedunkey video on the exact same game, spy party. "Wait a minute" i think to myself as i click it and watch. "This is that one game from all those years ago!"
After some research on the game, a google search of it's developer Chris, an account recovery process and a steam account link, I was granted access to this game again for the first time in 12 years. Except instead of it's pre-alpha build hosted in it's ancient website from back in 2013, I now have it on steam, in an early access state and all completely for free due to my old account's status as a backer.
Unfortunately, unlike 12 years ago, I don't have anyone to play it with anymore. On-top of that, after doing a good bit of research, this game seems to be very much dead. The discord is pretty much a ghost town, the game hasn't seen an update since 2020, and the developer, chris, has been mia for years. But hey compared to it's 2013 pre-pre-alpha state, the game does seem more ironed out. kind of. a few extra QOL features.. and thats pretty much all the changes i could notice that happened in the last 12 years.
What a tragic state this game has become, especially considering the potential it truly had. With the right funding, development time and community growth, it could've truly been a cult classic that transcends the weight of time. Now, it is nothing but a relic forever lost to time. A forgotten art. Just a distant memory of what once was just a taste of my childhood.
RIP king. I hope one day you will come back to us stronger, as a game to be remembered, not a forgotten memory. You deserved better.

Don't be suspicious! Don't be Suspicious! Awesome little 1v1 game. As a spy try to outsmart your adversary. Act like and NPC. Move like an NPC. Be the NPC. Accomplish the mission without getting shot by the sniper.

25 € pour un jeu en accès anticipé depuis plusieurs années qui tiendrais sur un CD ROM... J'ai demandé un refound, le rapport qualité/prix est catastrophique.
Faites comme moi, trouvé un pote, acheté le jeu, faites vous une session d'1h30, et faites vous rembourser. Moove 100% gagnant.
Great concept, but it needed expanding. And instead of more content or polish, the only attention the dev gives this game.. is to increase its price. What used to be a promising early access title is now no more than ever-increasingly overpriced abandonware
One of the most unusual and enjoyable 1v1 experiences I've ever played. The tension as playing either the Spy or the Sniper can get very high. Huge recommendation if you like 1v1 games and have a bud. If you pick it up with a friend, the game has this frankly excellent way of spoon feeding you added complexities as you complete more and more matches against eachother. It helps overcome the learning curve of what a right and proper game of Spy Party consists of.
Sure the game has some rough edges and has largely been abandoned. But if you are solely concerned about concept and gameplay, there is substance here.
For multiplayer only and with such a small pool of active players, the price is a little steep. It also rarely goes on sale. This sat on my wishlist for years, but a friend gifted it to me so we got to experience it and... I am so glad I played it in the end. Novel game. Great game.
