This game is awesome even for the lack of accessible ships, my gameplay here is just being a wandering ship waiting for events that offers derelicts (abandoned ships) waiting to be salvaged/sold to the market for decent money or added to your ship collection, space pirates to turn into derelicts or turn them in to the bounty collector, Big Bad Wolf (Large Frigate Class Ship) and many more.

But that isn't the over all gameplay here because there are many more ways to play this game. You could be good reputation with the pirates while be bounty hunted by ships for committing space crimes (You could just be hated by everyone over all). There are ways to gain money here, like the boring mining route, or the fun extortion route as a certified bounty hunter (Basically just law enforcers in the rings) where you extort more than the required to unsuspecting ships listed in the bounty list.

And one thing that made me also be very interested in this game is that all the characters here, the crews you hire have their own story, abilities hidden and unique dialogues. My second hired crew was a pilot that was actually affiliated with one of the big shot companies here, they also have the ability to hack into other ships, this aren't their only uniqueness as I am still continuing to discover more about her like she has employee discount on same company purchases, though that discount has long since expired and outdated automated merchants may or may not accept it but it is useful in certain situations.

玩了27小时攒了一台满配大船，目前感觉这船的强度是断档式的，6个货舱挂载点能放炮台能放无人机，默认配置的6个货舱只留两个也很够用了。低强度挂载点直接带一个调成10%水共振的微波和一个满功率600采矿激光，能挖又能打。
从我能从居住站解锁炮台看来应该还有隐藏船型吧，不过市场里默认就有的这个大船目前是我玩的最爽的

Pros: Fly an Eiffel Tower sized spaceship ass-first into a ringroid trying to pull a cool move and bore through it with the main engine torch. Break the said engine, overheat the reactor core and send your hard-earned minerals flying from the cargo bay. Your pilot is unhappy. They ask for a raise third time this month. Wholesome neurodivergent fun.

Cons: The most unnerving AI generated character faces circa 2023. From the murky abyss of the uncanny valley they pierce your very soul with the gaze of a thousand spaghetti-eating will smiths.

This developer is locking Steam achievements behind artificial inflation of this game's active playercount.

Although it is only two 'achievements' at stake, of which one is problematic (the Squadron 303 achievement, which requires having 303 players playing this purely singleplayer game at once), the number is ambitious enough that it is only realistically accomplished by partaking in the developer's pre-arranged events where everyone is intended to launch the game (and keep it open) at the same time. Since the active playercount has zero bearing on anything in the game, I see no real explanation for this practice aside from trying to inflate the active player numbers.

If you wish to 100% this game, this means that you, too, will need to partake in these 'events' for the purpose of driving up the game's charts on SteamDB.

Although worse things than a Steam achievement could be locked behind such a metric, it is more the principle of 'locking rewards behind players pumping the charts higher' that disappoints me in what is otherwise a decent hard sci-fi game.

I like the game but it's a Spacebar simulator. I think the mining part gets a bit dull after a while and you just hang around waiting for RNG missions to pop up. I think it still needs some more baking because right now the drones feel more like a chore than a fun mechanic. Some of the UI elements could also use some improving as it clutters things way too much on the screen (like some LIDAR and Autopilot modules).

The throttle controls are really really bad and you can not change them.

You use left click and position to move forward and back, Right click to rotate. Middle mouse to open and close your scoop(?) or enter...

Basically Right hand only actions hope you don't have less than 13 fingers on your right hand cause if you don't, mate you are gonna not be able to do a thing here.

Some absolute moron rocked up in his K37, crashed right into the observation disc of my CERF and took out the onboard computer, got blasted by my fusion torch engine when i was trying to evade, after 5 seconds of torching violently exploded into a thousand pieces, then proceeded to smash their escape pod into a nearby moonlet. 10/10 Darwins.

The controls are annoying and can only be somewhat rebound. I like the newtonian physics thing, but when the controls suck, I am not going to bother dealing with it.

Of particular annoyance, several different functions are bound to mouse 3/scroll wheel, which is the worst button to begin with, but annoying I cannot seem to use the other 3 buttons on my mouse instead. Also the tutorial loves to really quickly flash a tiny diagram of the mouse on screen with the button it wants slightly lighter grey but with no labels. When I have to watch that little animation 10+ times just to figure out which button you want me to press, I think we can safely say we are done here.

Juniper Tide approaching a ship graveyard. "So many lives, lost senselessly," comments my mechanic. I took a sip out of my tea cup. Then came the onboard emergency alarm beeping, decommissioned military AI stressing, systems all red. There was a stray asteroid, our ship was on high velocity. Thrusters offline, reactor offline, power down, onboard HUD unavailable.

"Propellent exhausted. Search and rescue commenced." SOS beacon blaring.

Days later, I am back on the station, with debt in the thousands, crew unpaid. I give what I can spare to have Juniper Tide operational again. This time, keep it at low velocity.

采矿是这样的，狼群只需要被我打死就好了，而我要考虑的可就多了，微波水共振太高杀人慢太低采矿慢，动能会击飞矿石，激光被打歪操作难度暴涨，靠引擎转太快会把货舱甩出去.....（被ai主引擎喷到船体反应堆坏了直接反击，狼群很好打就没赔钱，已经成通缉犯了）

简单来说就是太空采矿
操作和系统都挺硬核
对新手不是很有好，新手强烈建议开局存钱先雇佣4种人才，最便宜的即可
可探索的区域很大很大
应该是有近乎真实的太空物体轨迹模拟
去过的大型地点，都是有时效的，每个坐标会随着时间推移改变
战斗基本没打，主要我飞船没装什么炮，也不知道怎么打爆敌方飞船

After 250 hours and another 95 in the demo (which is the full game at time of writing), I think I've come to the conclusion that I just can't offer my support to this developer.

The game feels incomplete in a lot of ways, there's really not much reason to engage in some of the gameplay, and the things that seem appealing are nearly non-existent in reality.

There seems to be some sort of mission/quest type system, but there doesn't seem to be an interface or log of it. If you're coming back to a save and don't remember what you were doing last, there's no way to really know in terms of the available missions/quests.

The different minerals all feel just like different colored rocks. Yeah, the prices differ from mineral to mineral, but chasing a specific valuable type is slower than just filling the hold with the better rocks you find and dumping them.

Ship salvaging is where the money is, and it's really fun at first, but there's not enough interesting variety in content to keep it fresh. It feels great to bring in a ship for free, but when you're searching around for them, it just isn't fun. The salvage subscription service isn't fun either, it feels like shooting fish in a barrel.

The game feels great to play, I just don't have any motivation to play it. It's fun for a few hours, gets repetitive, and I give it a break to see if anything changes in a few months.

Rinse repeat.

And that's not to mention the DLC the developer is currently working on. From what I understand, it's essentially the same game at it's core, but with settings changed to make it feel more "arcadey." While I absolutely think this is a good addition to reach a larger audience that doesn't want the more strict simulation rules, I think to develop it as a DLC priced at $10USD is ludicrous. We're talking about the addition of a game mode that essentially should have been included in the base game in the forms of game settings the players can adjust the their own spec, since it is a single player game. If a player likes the idea of Delta V and would rather have a more casual experience, that person basically has to pay double price to enjoy the game that I already am, just in a different way. It just feels wrong. In order to reach a larger audience that wasn't going to buy the game, you've punished them by making them pay twice.

As a developer, I understand that games are hard to make, and we should pay for the work the devs put in, and that it's hard to make money when the updates are free, but we can look at any number of incredibly commercially successful games with a pay-once, free content updates afterwards model like Terraria, Minecraft, to name only 2.

And I can't even make my own key-binds and the gamepad controls are atrocious. No settings. The controls are what you get. I just can't support this anymore.

The best space mining sim I've found, with the other only notable mention being Elite Dangerous. I love the detailed physics calculations, the modular nature of the ships like being able to switch out engines, sensors, autopilot and HUD, a lot of sidegrades, and there's a lot of secrets to find. Flight feels super weighty, especially with a full cargo, and very much skill-based so it's right up my alley. Going manual and dodging asteroids is great.

I wish there were a few more ships and some more variety to pirates and mining, and it would be nice if the secrets were fleshed out a bit more. There's really no story even though it seems like the game wants to tell one at times, some of the hidden scenes were devoid of any commentary from my crew, and there are crew-specific dialogue options with NPCs but they don't have any meat to them. Regardless of the criticisms, the game is incredibly good for zoning out and mining or exploring for derelict ships and more.

Absolutely adore this game and I've only been playing it for a few days. I love hard sci fi, and the rings of Saturn have always amazed me in real life. This game really captures the beauty and gristle of what we can accomplish in space in the next few hundred years.

Onto actual gameplay, it's still fantastic. The ships feel bulky and slow, but still good and fair to control. I will say that it's a little too easy to spill your cargo out with some suped up thrusters, in my opinion, but that may just be a me problem. The upgrade system is fantastic too, if you're doing things right, there's always an opportunity to pick out something new from the equipment to try out.

I won't spoil anything, but I think the game's systems and rare encounters facilitate a feeling that you're becoming the grizzled old belter in the corner of the bar that's seen things he NEEDS to talk about.

Great game, really fun to fly around in, if you ever wanted to feel like a belter from expanse or play a fun version of eve online this is it, I think the only real thing it needs is a help tab, I know there's more content but there's a bit of a learning curve, like the tutorial is good enough but having something to reference would be fantastic.

O 少有的现实主义太空挖矿。给飞船部件搭配需要考虑电力管理和反应堆温度，还可以自己调整反应堆预设温度和推进器功率，且不同的功率也会带来不同的部件磨损，部件重量也会影响飞船重心偏移，并不是装备越贵越好。
O 最喜欢的是“你并不是故事的主角”。遇到海盗不能盲目的上去战斗，即便技术够好也要掂量维修费用，如果被打坏了反应堆还无法维修，那需要替换部件并支付昂贵的费用。
O 故事几乎来自于所遇到的人和你所雇用的船员，不过似乎略显单调，希望以后更丰富。

The game is so buggy, it's no fun.
Every other dive, you can't travel back because
MATCH VELOCITY TO TRAJECTORY
goes over 100%, but the autopilot can't manage to start.
Or the ridiculous autopilot, which can't manage to open the excavator in time and just pushes everything it's supposed to collect in front of it.
Just bad. I wish I had just bought chocolate with the money instead.

Initially i went in with lower expectations after watching the reviews. i mean how good can it be? it`s just 2d space mining... oh boy i was in for a treat. despite my preference toward combat i have thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay so far, it`s grindy, but not overly, it`s the kind that feels rewarding, everything is physics based and simulated and there are so many secrets one can explore and discover. worth a try 10/10

Tutorial video useless, this game literally dumps you in the middle of 'nowhere', very little guidance. Very unclear, instructions to 'press x' look like little windows where the x would be to close the window.
You can't save progress, I resorted to asking Copilot how to play this game, and couldn't even figure out how to get to the station where you can save progress. I understand it's indie game, I understand there is a philosophy behind its difficulty, but I can't imagine how anyone gets past the first hour. I gave up. Do not recommend.

Quite happy for a game to have realistic physics, something like Kerbal Space Program, but this...this game hates you and wants you to be confused, lost. Honestly...how would ANY level of playtesting leave a game in this state?

This seems like a fun game for anyone who likes this genre - I'm not reviewing gameplay loop here, you don't buy this not knowing what you're getting into anyway.

What you might not know though, and most reviews won't mention it either is the sole reason for negative here: the game's [b]ABYSMAL PERFORMANCE[/b].
This is ridiculous for a game looking like this to have trouble getting 60fps on any PC manufactured in this decade. It will often have trouble keeping 30fps, the GPU hits 97-100% usage (and CPU sits around 15% so it's not bottlenecked) - and that's in the tutorial area, where literally nothing happens.

There are lots of topics in discussions about this and all the dev says there usually is "send me logs" + "lower the display scaling in settings" - scaling, not the resolution, because, believe it or not - they are not able to let you choose the screen res here in 2026... Also that scaling looks like pixelated super low res ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, because they are also unable to set the UI text res independently of the rest of the graphics... Seriously wtf.

You need a top of the line rig to play this game comfortably and the devs don't even try to optimize anything - they keep saying that's the engine's limitation... For a game that looks like a slightly better web browser game. Let that sink in.

I should refund this, but I plan on getting beefier PC later this year so I might come back to this as the slightly relaxing gameplay loop seems fine + it cost me less than a cheeseburger is priced at McDonald's today, so it's not worth the hassle, but man they really should put some effort into graphics optimization here.

Such a great game. Never has mining been this frustrating but it makes sense scientifically and so I can't complain. I just wish there were more ships and more stuff to do in the game. I'd love a ship with 1 solid weapon mount, and 3 of the normal ones. The core of this game is incredibly solid. Practically a perfect hard-sci-fi ship simulation as far as two dimensions go. Feels like I'm robbing the developers at this price. Sorry guys! Make a second one and I'll buy it again! :D

This game has a fairly simple loop that somehow stays extremely satisfying for the duration. Early on your ship has very limited ability and you mostly try to drift into rocks so you can monch them into smaller rocks that go into your hold. Your geologist will attempt to predict how much those tasty little rocks will make and you compare this total to the fuel cost of coming all the way out here and back. If the number is positive then it's a successful run and you can maybe buy new mining tools.

Every possible playstyle is supported within this general loop. You can be a giant ship that relies on automated turrets and drones to gather resources or a small/agile ship that blasts apart asteroid fields and then directly grab everything of value.

As other reviews indicate, upgrades aren't always better. A bigger ship can collect a massive payday before having to go back to base but that takes time and upkeep costs are higher. Meanwhile the little ship can make multiple trips and it's a much more dynamic experience dodging asteroids and trying to avoid overloading the reactor.

Which, by the way, will happen eventually. Fly a little too fast into a little rock and your control rods might jam causing a critical overload. This kills the spaceship. Most of the physics is roughly near-tech and semi realistic. In this scenario you may be able to save yourself by triggering all maneuvering thrusters to vent heat or you can tweak the reactor output by moving sliders in the mechanical menu.

You're also not alone out there in space; there are fellow miners, racers, pirates, and a few strange things incomprehensible to your puny human mind. The crew offers some interactions but they're fairly limited, this is one area I'd like to see expanded.

Overall this is a unique game that doesn't try to merge genres or re-invent the wheel. All the mechanics are things you've likely seen before, even going back to old browser-based gravity games, but they're carefully refined to perfection. One thing I haven't mentioned is the audio which is excellent throughout. Space is quiet but spaceships made all kinds of noise, especially when you have a full hold of minerals. Music is simple but feels appropriate, alarms blare when systems are overloading, drone launchers hum... It all sucks you in until 48 hours have gone by apparently.

Simply incredible, especially at this price point.

Experience being a space miner piloting a small fragile spacecraft, hauling ore from Saturns outer rings back to base orbiting one of Saturns moons.

It's *very* simple at the core: Find asteroid, break it down, grab the most valuable chunks. Bring home when cargo full. That's it, that's the game.

What's impressive is how detailed the simulation of this dead simple loop is.

Realistic zero-G physics. A power plant that can overheat and overload. LIDAR scanning, with adjustable frequencies and resolution. Autopilots with varying levels of efficiency. Hell, even the HUD is part of the simulation and shuts down when your reactor overloads.

Ore in your hold remains part of the simulation, rocks change how your craft handles and can fall out if you're not careful.

Upgrading your ship is very satisfying, with every new part changing the way your ship handles. They increse your efficiency in very clever ways: technically you can do everything from day one, upgrades allow you to do it more efficiently thanks to greater mobility and most of all - awareness. Good intel is absolutely key to bringing a good haul home quickly.

And I haven't even gotten to the story part (it takes a while to get going). 10/10, absolute gem. Hope it gets developed further.

I just tried to find something where i can stear a spaceship from top down look like Starcontrol 2 and having some kind of finding new stuff... getting better ships... got this Game for 2,85 Euro on Steam in a Sale. On first glance it looks like a simple Game with nothing much to it. But after 6 hours it feels like you exploring a dangerous area WITHOUT alot of real enemys other then miscalculating your movement and crushing into something while chasing down a piece of valuable ore.

I like Astronomy and the fact, that there I THINK are real images used for the rings is nice. Also you have the feeling of a simulation and not of an Arcade Game. The effects "Weapons" and Tools look nice.

If you like space sims and want to mine some ore, exploring the Rings of Saturn, maybe finding a space station with an AI or other interesting places where "stuff" happens... i would give the Game a chance.

Rings of Saturn is truly a fantastic open-world game with a lot of addictive potential. In fact, the game puts you in such a mood that you actually feel as if you were among the stars in the rings around Saturn.

For all the gold diggers and micromanagers among you, the game strongly reminds me of the addictive games like Ports of Call or even Reunion. Highly recommended!

・NPC船が無遠慮に自艦周辺に近寄る
最悪はこちらをお構い無し艦載装備で採掘を開始し、副次的に自艦に被害を齎す。マイクロ波で原子炉やられた時は穴だらけにして返礼したが、事前に通信で他所行くように促せば大概去ってくれる

・艦載装備のレーザーやマイクロ波で岩石を掘削しても鉱石はその場付近に留まってくれない
ドローンを使わずアーム主体でやっているが、軽快に飛んで行くベリリウム（Be）には憎しみしかわかない

・乗組員の提案が自艦のスペックを考慮していない
「遺棄船が有るから回収にいこう！」と提案され、その場に向かうと帯電宙域。自艦も遺棄艦もショートしまくりで操作不可。どうにか抜け出しても修理の方が嵩んで旨味が感じられない

・遺棄船確保が面倒
出力の高いバーニアを積んでいるとアームで遺棄船を保持する際に逆噴射で遺棄船を放り捨ててしまう糞馬鹿な挙動。チューニングでバーニアの出力を各部位に細分化すれば正面だけ出力を弱めて保持続けられるのに、部位ごとではON/OFF設定しかない

ストアページだかに書かれていたと思うが、全体的に言って物理計算優先で、金積んで改良していけばゲームとして楽になって行く様な要素が乏しい。プレイしていてストレスの方が最近多く感じてしまう

I just don't know. I find it frustrating, hard to move forward. What little I did, even on peaceful mode I started getting harassed at good sites. It feels damn near impossible to get a new ship, and every ship you find derelict just blows up leaving you chasing a life pod. Chasing rocks is frustrating, even with a good autopilot. And ♥♥♥♥ breaks so fast and you spend so much cash fixing things you can't get ahead. I hope Wemod comes out with a trainer so I can play this and actually enjoy it.

an absolutely fantastic game. you start out bouncing off of rocks and spinning, playing hungry hungry hippos in space with gobbets of metal. the core loop gives you more and more ways to do that, and more and more ways to avoid doing that.

the tools, technologies, and upgrades that you install or configure along the way are meaningfully distinct: different HUDs, different flight mechanics, different techniques to accomplish the same goals. weapons and armor stats? yeah, those too.

but the real beauty here is that by the "end" of your gameplay, you're still bouncing off of rocks and spinning, playing hungry hungry hippos with gobbets of metal, but doing it in a completely different way than you started. maybe a few completely different ways.

congratulations, your ship accelerates like a toad on a log, but your lateral and maneuvering thrusters skitter you around like a hummingbird, and you pierce asteroids with a railgun and suck out the precious juice through a straw.

or, you can't turn worth a damn. but you get where you're going as fast as you can book the flight, and once you're there, you can sit there and literally scream at rocks until they climb into your mouth on their own.

a dizzying array of options, an extremely-involved developer, a space system where you can feel the bones of the ship rattle with every maneuver, and a setting that makes you feel comfy and content in one of the creepiest, emptiest places you've ever been.

TL:DR
This is not your typical dopamine game. There are no carrots, not holding hands, just you and the gameplay mechanics. And thise are above all, fun and self explanatory. You may have to read carefully. Every upgrade is sellable for the exact same price, wherefore you can experiment with different things. More costly does not mean better. There are several ways to play this game and you can tweak your ship to your liking. If you are into physics driven and realistic space games and want to feel like a Beltalodwa from The Expanse, this is the way to go.

Gameplay:
This is basically a Saturn physics sandbox. You are a miner and you mine minderals. But it isn't boring, because the game is challenging and since everything in space moves at a certain velocity, you must priotize what to get and what to let float, sort of. At first the game is challenging and it looks rather complicated, but it isn't. This is one of those: Easy to pick up and hard to master games.

Is this game for you?
If you have Elite Dangerous and have been a miner or trucker there, then this is for you. However in Rings of Saturn, not only do you have a demo that is idendical to the real game (yes, you could just play the demo forever), so you can try out, no, this is one of those games, that don't really tell you the depth of it. There are some sidequests and ingame lore but no real story. But you feel pretty much immersed and have the feeling that you are doing hard work in space.
If you feel like meditating, then this is for you.

Steamdeck
It runs out of the box and has an adjustable ui. However, if you make it readable, basically the whole screen consists of the ui. Once you start to get the hang of it, you kind of don't need to be able to actually read the hud, so then you can scale it smaller, for better overview. If the fonts were bigger, that would be better.

I'm having a blast, would love to see as much diversity in ships that there is diversity in interactions.

Currently there's like 4 main branches of ships, with 3 other ships that don't have variants, I'd love to see variants for the OCP and the kitsune specidfically. One more cothon variant with a different hardpoint layout would be AWESOME (gimme a high stress slot !), and a variant of the OCP with a different gimmick for the cargo. (rectangular cargo to put K37-sized ships inside, rotating cargo for centrifugal force for easier refining, expedition variant with better thrust ?)

Can I get therapy for the lidar pings I now hear when I sleep and the drone noises I hear 24/7 ?

While it may be a bit repetitive depending on how you play it, the game is chill and relaxing most of the time, the simulations are quite good and the updates, while a bit slow for nowadays standard, usually try to add lore to the universe, which is a plus.

Found myself needing to play something fresh... Looked around, found Rings of Saturn and almost instantly skipped it. Oh boy how happy am I to have grabbed this hidden gem.

There are games that grant you this feeling of joy without a good explainable reason to do so, this is one of those games. It just works.

If you like space theme games and to find out how things work without having your hand held, you might like this too. 100% recommend.

I lost the number of times I nearly punched my 4k monitor out. For being around a gas giant holy hell the amount of npcs. Some good, but mostly bad. The amount of informant dump that comes with no context, makes getting into this hard. The manipulator arm is buggy at best, during right stupid at worst. Derelicts are no fun at all. You can do everything right and still boom. Cause it a 50/50 chance no matter what. I had a derelict reported no damage, looked at it, no damage. Refueled and a good recovery. Next ship the seem thing. Line per line. NOPE BOOM. Everything red and a lost of 500 thousand in repairs. Like ♥♥♥♥ off. Tried to stop a derelict going 70m/s slowly NOPE. Tried getting in front. BOOM. AI slop with no tags like ♥♥♥♥ off. Would love a refund, but to long ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ waste of money.

I'm cruising, chillin', listening to some beats just mining asteroids in the rings, all is well.

Fast-forward 5 minutes: I'm spinning out of control, half my thrusters are out of comission, impact absorbers crushed to pieces, cargo bay 3/4 full with so-and-so valuables, rapidly losing fuel due to the necessity to vent the overheating nuclear reactor, and reciting all the bible-phrases I know by heart.
I spin to safety, narrowly dodging the worst damage (what, you thought I would be able to dodge in this condition?) and already considering what to do differently on my next dive.

Next attempt: I speed up to 115 m/s without a care in the world, cruising, chillin', listening to some beats, once again oblivious to how it will end up. 10/10

I was having a blast mining away in this game even BEFORE the incident.

I sent my geologist on an EVA to investigate a derelict ship, honestly only because I had a backup geologist back on station. I should have sent my mechanic. Anyway I set her to work investigating the condition of the ship, and upon reports that the reactor appeared to be in good shape, I had her power it up to check basic systems. It looked good for a few seconds, and then a something - a malfunctioning thruster or a sudden atmosphere leak - shoots out the side for a few seconds, sending the derelict ship into an uncontrolled spin at a fast vector away from us. I pursued the ship, dodging asteroids the whole time, to keep it in sight in case the transponder failed. While I was doing that I guess my geologist found her way to a lifepod, and GOOD THING, because moments later the ship made contact an asteroid and the reactor containment breached. I don't know how my ship survived inside the edge of the blast radius, much less the lifepod, but I then chased that lifepod through saturn's rings for FIFTEEN MINUTES. The lifepod only just barely fits inside the cargo bay and only IF you can catch it on one of its narrower ends which are just small enough to fit through the opening. I tried 3 times to get ahead of it to slow it down - But the problem is if you get close and then try a last-second maneuver, the exhaust of your thrusters can send it back into a fast spin away from you, off through the asteroid field again. This chase took me past two spaceships actively having a space battle - the first I witnessed after 17 hours of gameplay, mind you, and the whole time I was most worried that I wouldn't have enough propellant left to make the return journey back to station.... I finally caught the lifepod, rescued my geologist who was still alive (no doubt shaken), and made it back to station where I was able to sell the lifepod for $50,000.

Can't wait to go out again!

Edit: Changed it to 10/10 because the game just keeps getting better as I play, AND the dev team is really responsive and clearly on top of things.
