Love this game and workshop people are also doing good things.
Very arcadey but extremely fun spaceship designer and top-down shooter game. The ship builder is a bit jank but it works well enough once you get the hang of it, and you can make some real combat beasts.
The systems aren't deep, but if you can get it on sale it's totally worth it. Oh and the soundtrack is phenomenal!

Система строительства в этой игре, к сожалению, бедна на задачи по сцеплению блоков. По сути их только две: Это сцепить блоки их коннекторами и сцепить их как можно плотнее, что бы корабль быстрее строился и восстанавливался. Нет вообще никаких требований, что и рядом с чем должно стоять и т.п. Однако игра очень старается компенсировать это разнообразием условий, под которые игрок создает структуру, и разнообразием отдельно доступных наборов разных блоков.
Под условиями я имею ввиду наполнение игрового мира. В игровом мире есть куча фракций с разными особенностями. Также мир наполнен биомами, астероидами разных форм, растущей на них, и не только, растительностью и обитающими там фракциями. В игре нет мультиплеера, но он имитируется тем, что в мире летают разные мелкие корабли, и целые флотилии, созданные и загруженные другими игроками. А с длс в мире появляются гравитационные колодцы, которые могут затягивать объекты. В итоге, в ходе строительства игрок учитывает особенности всего, с чем может столкнуться, и адаптируется под все это, выводя оптимальную структуру корабля, создавая корабли разной специализации и т.п, а иначе просто не живет.
Конечно, по мере прогресса и познавания игры, оно сводится к универсальной оптимизации всех аспектов под все случаи жизни и критическому перевесу сил в сторону игрока, но это происходит не сразу, а даже если игрок с легкостью расправляется с трудностями окружающего мира, по мере прохода между червоточинами все ещё могут попадаться крайне опасные флоты других игроков, состоящие из больших тяжело укрепленных кораблей.
Все это разнообразие условий помножено на вышеупомянутое разнообразие фракций и их блоков. Начиная игру, игрок может выбрать свою фракцию. Фракции обладают разными блоками, их параметрами и особенностями. Также блоки из разных фракций выразительно отличаются формами и, соответственно, расположением коннекторов. То есть за каждую фракцию у игрока мало того, что есть какие то уникальные механики, он ещё и строить вынужден как то по другому. С оружием правда все так себе, среди вооружения обычно есть явные фавориты, но рабочие варианты все же присутствуют.
Как результат, играя в эту игру и пробуя разные фракции, игрок постоянно строит что то разное, с разными функциями, и разными стратегиями реализации. И все это даже несмотря на минимальное количество задач по сцеплению блоков.
В игре нормальная компания. В ней по сути всего один вид деятельности - пострелушки, но как я уже сказал, в игре есть разнообразные условия, и они этот процесс разбавляют. Другие разработчики делают полный упор на систему строительства, а остальные механики пришивают белыми нитками, а тут разработчик явно продумывал всю игру. Все плотно взаимодействует, все механики утилизируются и игроком и окружением. Кстати боты в игре довольно умные: Они умеют стрелять на упреждение, убегают, догоняют тебя, облетают препятствия и т.д.
Теперь о недочетах:
Во первых есть очевидные шероховатости, фрустрирующие по мелочи. Например, после перестройки корабля в редакторе, почти всегда быстрее не ждать, когда корабль перестроится, а просто самоуничтожиться и появиться готовым. То есть ты сидишь, видишь, что ждать надо будет долго, ещё ждешь, зажимая кнопку самоуничтожения, ждешь респавн, и только потом тебя пускает на готовый корабль. Вне боя в этом нет смысла.
Также размеры некоторых форм блоков откровенно странные. Например, в самой первой фракции есть многогранные блоки, которые размером никаким образом не вписываются структуру из остальных блоков. Я с начала думал в этом и смысл, над особыми блоками посидеть побольше, что бы нормально воткнуть их в корабль. Но на практике оказалось, что нормально вписать эти блоки без зазоров внутрь структуры попросту невозможно, а если делать структуру отталкиваясь от них, куча зазоров и проблем возникнет в других местах. Также в этой фракции есть блок тонкого прямоугольника, и казалось бы, вот решение зазоров, но этот блок абсолютно бесполезен: Он не особо нужен, что бы применять его самого по себе, и при этом в любом размере на выбор он либо немного больше или немного меньше зазоров между разными блоками. В итоге игрок приходит к какой то оптимальной работе с такими нестандартными блоками, но до того момента это лютая душка, при том, что сами блоки могут того не стоить.
С флотами других игроков есть проблемы. Например флот игрока может полностью разгружаться и создаваться заново при отлете на достаточное расстояние. По мимо того, что это можно абузить, это значит, что вам нельзя улетать далеко от этого флота, иначе весь стратегический прогресс будет утерян.
И много прочих мелочей и багов. Они действительно моментами сильно фрустрируют тебя, но терпимо.
В общем и целом это очень достойный представитель конструкторов, с упором на критерии окружающих условий и разнообразия элементов. Рекомендую попробовать.

My brother bought this game when I was younger and he used to play it all the time. I never knew what it was called but I always loved watching him play. Now i can play it myself, and it is as captivating as I remember. The soundtrack is very nostalgic to me. Glad I found this game again
The ship building alone keeps me engaged for hours.
It got boring once I realized how long and tedious actually exploring a map was. Lots of ships acting like lemmings and once I got a fleet following me, winning just kinda happened. There's not much in the way of logistics gameplay, most of the weapons are outdone by swarms of missiles, preferably from extreme range but armor is free and thrusters are cheap. There's theoretically mods and a bunch of alternate factions but I'd rather not spend a bunch of extra time doing things I don't care about just for things I don't know if I'll care about, especially when I already paid for the game.

I'm sorry to say I didn't give this game a fair chance at my first time of review. This game is jam packed with content for the price, and if you give it time to get over ship building pieces often not fitting together it's a lot of fun, and is super addicting if you enjoy building your own ships, and actually getting to use them, or see them in action as your fleet.
If the game frustrates you at all as it did me, (not by difficulty but mechanics) I ask you take a step back, and try again in a bit so you don't almost loose this hidden gem.
This game is a true masterpiece, released ten years ago and still unmatched. It’s a shame the developer never realized its full potential and ultimately abandoned it. So many things could have been added and improved. I guess that’s life.
I would recomend this game but it feels pretty bad at times, you can easily get spawnkilled for half an hour if a boss comes close to a respawn station and the scaling makes it pretty hard to progress once you figure out you aparently unlocked the wrong things.

Der Start des Spiels ist etwas fummelig, aber sobald man es verstanden hat, ist das Spiel ein sehr schön gemachter spaßiger Zeitvertreib. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass das Spiel kein Ende hat, aber dann spielt man einfach für 100% Achievements.
Hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht.

Wanted this game for years but greed refused a sale. Wonderful concept but completely deleted in utility for me thanks to an innovation that exposed a deal breaking problem. Vampire survivors taught me what a game could feel like when I wasn't being asked to micromanage what should be automatic. Like minecraft and terraria and from the depths and besiege, I simply can't enjoy the endless chores. I want high level control, not a set of tasks that feel like digging a basement with a teaspoon. Sure I love the freedom, but I don't love the tedium of guessing what the developers want me to choose. I have too much required micromanagment irl. Maybe if they had sold it for a sane price a decade ago... Too late now. Refunded. If only SPAZ2 had not been murdered in the crib. If only FOSS gaming was a real thing.

There's different factions that can all achieve amazingly effective things in entirely different ways.
Genuinely one of the best $15 games out there.
Do you scrunch as many weapons together as possible for maximum efficiency?
Do you make layers of hull between all of your parts for vastly increased survivability?
Do you make a fleet of massive cruisers and make them a priority spawn for every factory?
Do you make your entire faction only spawn tiny fighters and play the role of their mothership?
There's so much fun you can have and no definitive best way to play, yet SO very many that achieve results.
Build what you want. Have fun.

I found this fairly fun. I'm not entirely sure how I sunk so many hours into it, but they were decently well spent.
Before I checked the steam page when posting this review, I was under the impression this game was free. (I've had this for a very long time so I didn't remember).
It's fun, but it's very simple and probably not worth the price tag.
This is an 100 / 10 battle game. This amazing game has a very unique style of battling where you spawn from a mothership and conqure the galaxy where you get a item called R which you trade in for C. C is the currency used for getting upgrades. However unlike your typical fighting vehical game this gives you an opprotunity for more specific ship building where you make each part of the ship like lego's which is my favorite part. And the C gives you more parts to build with and can also be exchanged for P which is the currency you have to buy parts like guns, and thrusters. I hope the creative people around the globe can experience this game.
(If the dev see's this I beg you with all my soul to add multiplayer)
It's just fine. At first point looks like interesting but at first conquer of galaxy (which is become pretty repetative at some point) game feels empty. Might not worth it's price but I forgot for how much I paid for it.

Such a great game that stands even today, a decade later. Rushed a 100% playthrough in only 40 hours, but the game has so much more to offer than that. Its modding community have really outdone themselves with new factions, parts, and graphical overhaul. If you've got $15 to spend, I fully recommend reassembly.
If you like to tinker with shipbuilding and fight random space battles this is your. Graphics are basic but interesting enough. I like the open ended randomness of the world. Almost Spore like start as you work your way up from small basic ship to mega ship. I find it to be great fun

It's a decent space shooter where you can work your way up to being a bullet hell boss warship. Hire your own fleet and conquer space, send your own ships into other players worlds, or just chill and be a space farmer.
An amazing, almost "cozy" spaceship building game. I really enjoy booting it up occasionally just for a quick play session.

Apparently I suffer from a severe diagnosis of "Skill Issues", but when you're relegated to designing something that basically amounts to, 'Add more guns", it removes all premise of being enjoyable or fun.

I love this game and its building systems. Its an absolute shame that the developer didnt make a second game or any other games for that matter that expanded upon this game. It would be an absolute blast if this game had co-op or multiplayer where you fight for control of the map. Even after 10 yrs I would still recommend this game. Its simple to understand but you can make some very complex 2 ships.
Although the base game is very fun if you're into this sort of game, modding is practically a necessity past a certain point.
Thankfully, modding is so trivially easy that I started making a mod entirely on a whim; now I'm too deep in the rabbit hole please help I can't get out

I have fond childhood memories of this game.
Reassembly is a two dimensional space exploration and spacecraft construction game based around constructing spacecraft models, helping your faction expand, and gathering resources. It features an adaptable AI system that monitors how you play the game and adapts your faction based on your skill, actions, and spacecraft models. The AI and block systems are completely unique to each faction you choose. This game is great for people who enjoy space exploration/combat and creating things without having to deal with technical complexities. There is very little missing from this game. Those things being that faction npcs can fashion blocks from other factions for themselves off of derelict structures, but you can only do so from your own faction. I give it a 9/10 instead of a ten out of ten just because of the amusingly sensitive AI of the farming faction. While modding is available for this game, I would generally avoid using it until you get a hang of original gameplay. Also, it has some groovy music that is extremely likeable and keeps the game feeling upbeat.
DISCLAIMER: This game is not multiplayer despite the game having little reason not to be past the fact of its age.

I'm sure there's a great game in here, but you aren't given any goals. You get a brief tutorial on the controls (not including info on how to design ships, though it's quite intuitive) and then are set out into the world you know essentially nothing about, to do whatever you like.
It's self-set goals from the very beginning, without knowing anything about what is possible or desirable. A real sandbox... with a limited amount of game, I suppose?

this game is a hidden gem that is only known to a select few i being one of said few if only it got the recognition it deserves
