OK game, had fun with it. The assistant tells you what to do, and the game ran smoothly with no crashes.
As a completionist, I have to mention that two achievements

If you are aiming for 100% achievements, you will need the Rise of Industry 2130 DLC.
The 2130 DLC adds a new map, a completely different tech tree, and three achievements. One of them is fine, but the two pollution‑related ones are pretty rough. I managed to do the cleaning one myself, but [i] No Quarter Given [/i] was too much, so I just loaded a save instead.

Out of all similar tycoon games this game has prime aesthetic, it's quite jarring to see 1880s coalfogged London depicted so bright as long as you ignore the dead trees

The game nailed the Industry part - not many can claim hundred different products to make and somewhat simple hub-and-spoke logistics with the warehouse.

Now the bad part and why this is a bare 'Yes' is the transport part is legitimately awful. Rail is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless, Air is too expensive and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow, Riverine is unusable in most maps.

The worst part is you are at mercy of town store expansion - planning to make an agroindustry? Too bad the next town expansion stores accepts only oil products and you will be stuck on one town since the idiots thought that it would be swell to limit you to one region unless you pay quadruple your starting money. And if you enable AI, ♥♥♥♥ you buy out AI before we let you sell here compadre.

So is it good? At least it functions well as something you run in background while doing anything else. Buy it on sale.

After over five hours of play, I honestly don't like this game. I think it's because the game mechanics seem wonky to me. The game doesn't actually offer realistic market or entrepreneurial dynamics. You're basically just building production buildings that are contingent on other production buildings and then dealing with production and delivery bottlenecks. Advancement seemed to take a long time, and I quit the game once it lost its appeal and became boring to me.

If you like it better than I do, more power to you. But be careful to get a feel for it and decide whether to keep it before you hit the two hour mark. Or only buy it on sale so it's not a big risk if you don't like it either.

Rise of Industry may look like a light and accessible management game at first glance, but beneath that friendly exterior lies a surprisingly deep and demanding economic system. Visually, the game is quite pleasant, even if it doesn’t really innovate in terms of graphics. It does its job well and fits the industrial theme nicely.

What the game does particularly well is misleading you—in a good way. It gives the impression of being simple, but once you start understanding production chains, logistics, and market demands, the complexity ramps up quickly. This is where the game shines, but also where it can become frustrating.

Personally, I often wished I could feel more clearly that I was “winning.” On more than one occasion, I had to restart my playthrough entirely before things finally clicked and I managed to move forward properly. While this speaks to the depth of its systems, it can also feel punishing and unforgiving, especially for players new to this type of management game.

La verdad que una lastima no poder platinar el juego porque esta roto el trackeo de achievements. Tuve que fumarme una partida de casi 5 horas seguidas solo para completar un logro que solo se activa si lo haces en una sesion (Freelancer). Desde que el Dev lo vendió no hubo mas updates asi que imposible platinar.
Pero bueno si no buscas necesariamente platinarlo esta lindo para divertirse con management.

It's a logistics and production game that doesn't seem to consider either logistics or production.
Road and rail transport are impossible, mainly because the game has mechanics of traffic and road interaction but no tool to handle them properly (no traffic lights, signs, etc.) and rail is a nightmare.
Good luck organizing an industrial complex without going mad.
In a few words is a great, but unfinished game.

一眼望到头的和面游戏，城市需要什么你就拍什么。有心的可以慢慢算出个效率最大化，嫌麻烦的每个需求拍一个就能印钞。
运输也是同理，想折腾的可以玩中央仓储跨区域铁路海空运，不想折腾的直接围着城市造，工厂直销压根用不到仓库。
最后就是终极目标原型，十几合一确实很终极。看了下正在印钞的二三级产品后果断当这玩意不存在，然后游戏就到头仂（悲）。

Un juego fantastico!!!

Es complicado ya que todo representa un costo pero asi es la vida real, si no planeas correctamente se te puede hacer un caos vial por lo que es muy importante que pienses en todo, hacer crecer las ciudad es muy complicado ya que las cadenas de produccion que tienes que crecer requieren de mucho espacio pero es muy interesante como debes pensar en todo. El tema de las granjas para poder surtir de agua y el trafico que genera es sensacional por que tienes que cuidar hasta ese detalle, si por algo no lo haces bien generaras una reaccion en cadena ya que si no llega el agua no produce la comida y si no hay comida las vacas no comen y si no comen no hay leche para el yogurt ni piel para cumplir el contrato y no puedes mandar la carne a la ciudad para generar dinero por lo que debes estar pendiente de todo en todo momento.

Hablando del uso de barcos y ferrocarriles para enviar muchos recursos juntos y mas rapido es genial, el pensar como es que tienes que ir moviendote en el mapa para conseguir recursos que no tienes tu y forman parte de la cadena de suministro o darle salida a lo que produces mucho

I played though a solid tutorial that gave me a good feel for what the game is. If you like management sims games about supplies and demand this is for you. The game looks gorgeous and works great. Not really my type of game but I am not going to knock it down for that.

It's a good (enough) game. I played it because I used to play "Industriegigant 2" excessively which was a brilliant game simulating economy. Rise of Industry could replace "Industriegigant 2" but it lacks a few things and that's why I stopped just after a few hours of playing.
- Warehouses outbound to shop is done by trucks and not automatic when in range. This leads to unfulfilled demand even if you have enough stock. I appreciate the approach to be as realistic as possible but since you are unable to manipulate city infrastructure and/or last mile carrier it leads to frustration.
- Tech tree: It's a nice feature but it is extremely easy to get it all.
- Transportation: Truck, Trains, Zeppelin. You upgrade all of them and than it's done. Nothing new to expect to tackle increasing demand and infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Infrastructure: You can't upgrade a warehouse to have trains/zeppelins if the city grew around it. In "Industriegigant 2" I used to built around the city a huge supply infrastructure with train stations and warehouses. Not possible here.
- Shops: Location is set by the game, not by you. This was the key to built an integrated supply chain from production to fullfilment to consumer.

Есть несколько режимов.
Карьера, где вы будете строить компанию с нуля и дойдите до разработки прототипа.
В песочнице вам не нужно переживать ни о чем, просто строить где хотите и как хотите.
Еще есть сценарии для завершения определенной задачи, либо можете создать свой собственный сценарий.

Перед началом компании вы настроите общие параметры карьеры.
Можно сгенерировать имена городов, на выбор есть испанские, немецкие, английские или американские.
Выставить количество ИИ соперников, сгенерировать им имена. Выбрать размер карты и даже какое будет движение на дорогах правостороннее или левостороннее. Ну и если потребуется включить ассистента помощника.

Далее настроите участок. Выберете количество рек, озер, изогнутость и сглаженность берегов, перепады в высотах и другие параметры.
А после настроите сложность игры, как например снизить расходы на транспорт или увеличить/уменьшить стартовую сумму денег или установить бесконечные ресурсы на месторождениях и другое. В общем настроите игру под себя.

Как только карта сгенерируется, осмотрите все участки с городами, какие ресурсы где находятся, какой спрос на товары в городах, а точнее по началу это скорее будут деревни нежели крупные города. Их расположение тоже имеет значение, как например некоторые находятся ближе к дороге, связывающих регион с государством.
Как только определились с тем на чем будет зарабатывать ваша компания, выберете в границах одного из населенных пунктов свою штаб-квартиру. Теперь право на строительство в данной области принадлежит только вам.

Также вам дадут 3 бесплатных технологии. Дерево технологий обширное и разделено на категории и уровни, чем выше категория товара, тем больше денег и времени вам потребуется на исследование.
А далее в зависимости от спроса на товары в городе построите свои первые предприятия сельскохозяйственной или легкой промышленности, но можете конечно сразу и с тяжелой начать.
Если вы выбрали заниматься сельским хозяйством. То поначалу будете просто выращивать, например, зерно или яблоки в фруктовом саду или какао бобы и продавать на фермерском рынке, главное снабжать поля водой, этой будет первая цепочка, вода, зерно, фермерский рынок.
Кстати, каждое предприятие имеет свои производственные мощности, так же как и потребление в городе имеет лимит. Перенасыщение рынка снизит цену товара.

А далее, например, можете построить животноводческие фермы, куда потребуется доставлять уже зерно и воду. Куриные яйца, мясо, молоко также можно поставлять на фермерский рынок, если есть спрос.
Далее проводя дальнейшие исследования у вас появится возможность производить более продвинутые товары, как например, овечья шерсть пойдет на изготовление волокна, а оно в свою очередь пойдет на производство тканей, из которой далее сможете производить одежду. Получается полная цепочка производства от сырья до конечного продукта.

И так с каждой сферой будь то сельское хозяйство или легкая/тяжелая промышленность.
Категория прототип - это как венец творения вашей индустрии. Построить завод и наладить производство автомобиля, компьютера или готовой еды в упаковках. Но до этого вам нужно, чтобы ваша империя работала как часы, производя все необходимые детали, а так же компания должна иметь стабильную высокую прибыль, так как если уйдете в минус, на первый раз государство выдаст вам кредит для спасения, но если и это не помогло, ты вы банкрот. Кредит, кстати, вы можете взять в любое время.

Для серьезного производства нужны ресурсы, а они не собраны все в одной области, например железная руда и газ, вам потребуется захватывать новые территории, покупая права на деятельность в других регионах на аукционах. Другие компании тоже не будут стоять на месте и развиваться, расширяя своё влияние на рынок. Но если даже кто-то из конкурентов купил права раньше вас, потому что у вас не хватило денег перебить его ставку, вы всегда можете купить права позже предложив деньги напрямую конкуренту, но конечно уже по цене выше изначальной. Но если вы купите права, то получите в собственность всё что настроила конкурирующая компания.

А для связи например двух зон вашего влияния или больше, помимо обычных автомобильных дорог, которые находятся в общем пользовании можно построить железную дорогу между главными складами, а так же можно организовать и перевозки по воде или по воздуху на дирижаблях, но предварительно их нужно открыть в дереве технологий, как и другие улучшения транспортной системы. Всё это нужно чтобы снизить затраты на доставку грузов и удовлетворить спрос на товары, увеличивая прибыль.

При удовлетворении спроса населенные пункты развиваются и когда доходят до следующего уровня развития, появиться возможность установить новый магазин с товарами более высокого уровня. Это открывает для вас возможности реализовать новую продукцию по более высокой цене, чем если бы продавали её государству. Чем сложнее конечный продукт тем выше его цена, но и спрос не так уж велик. Поэтому вы всегда сможете регулировать скорость производства, снижая или повышая зарплату работникам. Таким образом добьетесь чтобы у вас не накапливались излишки на складах и можно было бы всё реализовать.

А еще в процессе игры будут появляться контракты от городов с запросом на определенный товар в определенном количестве с ограничением по времени. Контракт может получить любая компания, которая предложит лучшие условия. Хотя например вы можете оказаться единственным производителем, так что контракт достанется вам на лучших для вас условиях.

Помимо этого будут и случайные события влияющие на игровой процесс, как например государство повысит проценты по налогам или год выдался засушливым и вас начнутся перебои с водой а следовательно снизится производительность ферм. Или например случилось землетрясение, из-за этого временно снизится производительность всех предприятий, а то и вовсе остановится, как например угольные шахты.
Могут произойти и несчастные случаи с работниками на производстве и вам придется заплатить штраф. В игре довольно много других вариантов событий и не только негативных. Как например государство занялось ремонтом дорог, так что это повысит скорость ваших грузовиков.

Кстати не забывайте об экологии. Тяжелая промышленность дает высокий уровень загрязнения, поэтому нужны очистные сооружения. Если например загрязнение дойдет до ваших ферм, они перестанут работать.

Также чем больше у вас различных предприятий тем больше грузовиков окажется на дорогах, что в дальнейшем приведет к образованию пробок, но вы сможете построить некое подобие развязок чтобы этого избежать, а также для сокращения пути строить мосты и туннели.

Если захотите посмотреть как идут дела вашей компании, можете посмотреть на графики по различным показателям. А также в справочнике товаров представлены все схемы производства. И еще один момент, у государства вы можете покупать сырьевые товары, например если у вас нет возможности достать то, что вам необходимо.

И в заключение.
В игре довольно простенькая графика, но как мне кажется сам игровой процесс компенсирует этот недостаток. Выстраивание цепочек производства и развитие компании с поля до завода по производству автомобилей очень увлекательно, так как столько всего нужно произвести до этого момента.
В игре представлено более 150 наименований продукции.
И кстати вы также можете скупать акции ваших конкурентов, дивиденды это вам не принесёт, но если вы купите 100% акций, то всё перейдет в вашу собственность, и вы будете грести деньги лопатой.

The industry part is fine, but the roads and rails in the game are terrible.

Bridges and tunnels are so limited - can't build next to a station, can't have a bridge/tunnel over another, can't build diagonal ones. Railroad switches are nightmare - can't build them off a diagonal railroad, and the graphic rendering doesn't match their behavior at all. Train routing is often questionable as well.

I never expected the transport part to be as good as Transport Fever series, but it's still so much below my expectation.

7 years ago I bought this game, thinking it would be something like "industry tycoon 4". No, not like the current IT4 which really, really sucks, but like an Industry Tycoon 3 improved.

This was not the case as I quickly discovered. Instead, I got something like "permit&paperwork simulator 2018". Before being allowed to raise my buildings I needed a permit. A permit for logistics, a permit for industry, a permit for selling my finished products etc...

After all of 40 minutes I quit, uninstalled the game and intended to play it again when the actual game released (it was in early access back then). However I soon forgot about it. Thanks to a video from the (alleged) creator of the game, I re-installed it and gave it another try.

Well, thanks to 7 years of development [b]IT HAS GOTTEN EVEN WORSE!!![/b]

It now plays like a mobile game (at least the tutorial mission does). You can only place buildings where the tutorial allows you to. Worse actually, not only that, but you have to rotate the buildings in precisely the way that the tutorial allows you to, otherwise it is impossible to place them.

Without this utter and unnecessary nonsense, I believe this game would not sit at a mere 3k reviews but at least at 30k reviews. Sadly, if looking at the update history, it is more than unlikely that this will ever be fixed.

It's one of the best business simulators I've ever played. I've played over a dozen, but this is really only the 2nd in the subgenre that I'd say is one of my favorite games in general. Business simulators often structure their gameplay in a grassroots format, and I definitely prefer the big picture format RoI has.

The only other game of this type that I liked this much is Train Tycoon Deluxe. Which is so old now that the only way to play it without a dinosaur PC is the open source recreation OpenTTD. I'm very grateful to Dapper Penguin Studios for not only bringing back the gameplay style for this subgenre, but creating a game that's on an even greater scale than TTD, and probably greater than any other business simulator has ever done!

A really great Transport-Tycoon-Style game. The controls are nice and clean, the graphics are nice, it runs more than well enough on my decade old rig, and the gameplay has fun depth without feeling too cluttered.

Tip, don't worry about trying to do it all, try to specialize into a specific handful of industries on your first play through, and set the dispatch and/or upkeep costs to 50% in the difficulty so you don't feel too worried about perfecting your efficiency as you learn everything.

I'm excited to try out the sequel, whose negative reviews mostly seem to be about early release bugs that will all be ironed out soon enough I'd guess given this game runs *very* well.

All together, not just a fun game for people who have already played Transport Tycoon, but also a great game to get into the genre for people who haven't!

I completed the game once and it was ok, but there are many frustrations with the game. I'm kind of neutral about it. I like growing settlements in trading games, but I like them to be a simplified realistic simulation, not arbitrary custom rules for the sake of game mechanics.

There is a growth mechanic in this game, but it's weird and unsatisfying. You need to supply the city with certain materials (I think for free, or PAY THEM instead) when it reaches a "growth threshold". It will spawn a shop of one of the types that creates certain demand. Without the shop, people simply... don't need that type of goods, even if it's clothes.

There is not enough information, both in the game and in general. You can import resources "from the state" with a "markup" but I didn't find what the exact price is. You can see it popping up when they buy it, but I don't know whether it is listed anywhere at all. There are charts with, say logistics expenses (trucks, trains, etc.) but they don't seem to be separated into categories, so I don't know how much trucks cost per month. And some events give you a direct discount specifically for trucks (you pay for the event, so you need to actually calculate the cost). In general, tables and plots in the statistics aren't easy to use.

Raw resources get depleted and in general are pretty limited across city territories. The territories you have to buy before your competitors to be able to build there, which is a headache. Starting cities often have just a few higher tier shops, which heavily influences what kind of products you want to invest into early on (which means that you may be almost forced into the food industry when you want to specialize in heavy industry).

Also, this game is much more focused on production compared to trading. Less trade routes, more deciding on what tech and product to research and produce next. Which is fine, but important to understand.

If you like to make your own company with taking risks and following up with those. This is your game. Factorio -.2 you don't have the problems you would normally have to deal with. Honestly it's a very chill industrial builder. I've played 11 runs and honestly, even when I fail; It gave, the experience for you to do better. Have a beer and try it out. I thought it was worth the squeeze.

So, definitely gotta manage your resource, but not with building the game suggests. A few glitches and pretty much the new owners seem to have no interest in maintaining this game. So, this game can be considered complete, but others will call it abandonware.

Kinda fun, until you optimise your map.

From an achievement hunting aspect, most of it is attainable, but some achievements are glitched and when it means across all play throughs. It means just the one game without reloading.

I have spent 6 hours trying, over multiple restarts and online tutorials, just trying to understand the basic economics in this game. Not worth it.

The tutorials online are out of date, the tutorial in the game isn't helpful beyond "build farm and sell wheat", and balancing a budget feels nearly impossible.

Just try to do a basic water siphon -> farm -> chicken farm -> warehouse -> store. This is one of the simplest supply and distribution chains in the game. Despite being located next to the town, a high demand for chicken and eggs, it's somehow impossible to make a profit.

The tutorial is so poorly made, I cannot figure out how to do basic things. Very layered and obscure interface. For example tutorial says "sell goods" That's it. No instructions where to go in menu or what to click to do so. Useless. I have wasted hours just in the tutorial. Bad design.

Este juego es el heredero espiritual de otros como transport gian o capitalism y, aunque está en algunos aspectos mejor que los mencionados, este juego está lleno de bugs, desde bugs insignificantes como que te muestre desordenada una lista de elementos y al recargarla aparezca bien ordenada, hasta bugs más jodidos como que se estropee un coche por la puta cara y sin venir a cuento y que debido a ello pierdas un contrato. Lo peor que tiene este juego es el tráfico que supone un gran problema porque esta mal programado y no hay tecnologías para mejorarlo de ninguna forma y entonces tienes que pensar la disposición de la fabricas como un autentico ingeniero de caminos, lo cual podría estar bien, pero da igual el ingenio que hagas que se jode a largo plazo porque el trafico es irreal. He diseñado hasta 10 modelos diferentes de polígonos industriales y todos fallan al largo plazo y quitan las ganas de jugar. Otra cosa es que la guía del juego no se puede terminar adecuadamente si pones la dificultad mínima, lo cual considero un fallo dicho de otra forma es como si la campaña no la pudiese terminar en la mínima dificultad. Aunque si se puede terminar si pasas olímpicamente de dicha guía.
Por todas estas cosas no recomiendo el juego, no está mal pero tampoco está bien, no llegas a disfrutarlo supone más un problema que una diversión.

Игру изначально получил бессплатно два года назад в епик геймс, но купил снова. Одна из лучших экономических стратегий своего типа, помимо приятной графики, интерфейса и затягивающей механики торговый цепочек, в игре уникальная (для меня лично) механика аукционов. Ветка технологий также очень разнообразная. Но помимо очевидных плюс есть так-же минусы: Отсутствие возможности редактировать точное направление автомобилей доставки, очень раздражающие сообщения от игры, которые (вроде бы) нельзя выключить. Отсутствие надобности для механики тоннелей, механика интересная, но из-за того что на карте не так много больших гор (если конечно специально не включать неровность поверхности) они нужды редко, и то, механики обычно открываются под середину партии, но тогда уже денег достаточно для простой терраформации карты.

While some people have negative things to say about this game, I would honestly have to disagree. I understand where they are coming from, but I truly believe that most of the "cons" about the game can be mitigated with a little more playing time and tinkering from the players end. If you've read the recent reviews and are questioning whether or not to buy Rise of Industry, here's what you need to know:

[*]Raw business and logistics sim - It's all about numbers, supply lines, demand, steady growth, and surprisingly, traffic. This game does not have all the fluff you might see from other business sims. It is really strictly centered around basic business fundamentals and is rather unforgiving. If you are looking for a business sim that is "realistic", this is one of your better bets. If you are looking for a fun, cushy business sim with a hand holding tutorial or little animations for completing milestones, you're in the wrong place
[*]Lack of Tutorial - While there is an in game "assistant" you can toggle on and off, as well as an intro tutorial, there's not a clear guide that will help you understand the entire game in and out. This can be seen as a hindrance by some people, however, if you're a true business sim/idle/RTS fan, you'll understand that part of the fun is figuring out how to do it on your own. Looking at the small details that were overlooked on your first few runs to change the outcome of the next. Having epiphanies when you understand how two different concepts connect in game to unlock an even more efficient approach to production. As mentioned prior, if you're looking for a tutorial that will hold your hand through every little action, this is not the game for it. With the depth of detail this game has, that tutorial would end up being rather long and dull to cover every bit the game has to offer anyways
[*]Challenging But Limited Progression - The game definitely has a finite ending to it. After you buy out your competitors and create the final prototypes, there's not a whole lot more to do other than continue creating more supply chains and end products to sell. Eventually you'll run out of map space, grow the all the cities to their limit, and simply have nothing else to do besides sit back and watch your industry flourish and make billions. However, once you've reached this stage, I firmly believe the game has provided plenty of hours of fun game play and challenge. It is well worth the money from this perspective, and I'd do it again if I could
[*]Imperfect UI - There is a LOT of logistics and functions in this game. Is most of it accessible and somewhat easy to use? Yes. Is all of it? No. There are some areas that are a little difficult to figure out how to use properly or streamline effectively. Sometimes the path finder between two warehouses bugs out and you need to save and restart the game as the only fix too. Despite this, I haven't found it to be game breaking or terribly disruptive to the overall game play

Overall rating is a solid 8/10. There's plenty to learn and improve, great game play, but also some things left to be desired. If you like business sim/idle/RTS games, this one is for you. Give it a go, and best of luck to your industry!

Spiritual successor to the cult classic Industry Giant 2, this game fills a niche that's been lying empty FAR too long. It's got nice graphics and the gameplay mechanics are complex and comfortable.

This game deserves support!

(Note: this game is from a niche genre of Dad games and my review suggests it's a good example of it's kind, but you've still got to be a model train enthusiast to enjoy model trains, so understand that this recommendation is aimed at those of us that have the appropriate brand of train-autism.)

It's pretty mid, there's all these mechanics and management, but for what? Games like tiny glade for instance haven't got any real objectives for the sole purpose of not having them. This game feels like there should be something to actually do, because there's not really any consequences or things to work towards. Gameplay gets stale in a matter of hours, not worth it.

Tries to be an OpenTTD also-ran but does many things worse:
- Bad performance -- Random lags and stuttering and I barely have any infrastructure. Computer sounds like it's about to take off and fly around the room.
- Bugs especially when building railroads.
- Limit on number of buildings (!)
- Unbalanced money-hemorrhaging
- Lack of explanation -- I got stuck in the [b]tutorial[/b] and had to google the answer. Tutorials are supposed to explain what to do.
- Nonsensical tech tree -- Why do I have to research cows? What is there to research?

🎮 Difficulty Curve:
Easy to get into, and super satisfying if you love optimizing logistics. But once you get deep into the game… well, let’s just say motivation starts running out.

🔄 Replayability:
Great for restarts, not so much for long-term play. Once you unlock enough tech and expand, there’s not much to keep you hooked—it starts feeling repetitive.

🚛 Strength of the Game:
Logistics simulation is where this game shines. If you love setting up supply chains and watching them run smoothly (or fail spectacularly), it’s a solid pick.

🛤️ Controls & UX:
Building train tracks? Pure pain. You’ll spend more time trying to figure out why your train won’t move than actually running your industry. Sometimes the track is fine, but the train just decides it doesn’t have a path. That’s my biggest frustration.

👀 Graphics & UI:
Clean, simple, and nice to look at.

📈 Progression:
Satisfying at first, but eventually, it just becomes "expand with more resources" without anything truly new or exciting.

💰 Worth the money?
