Very good tycoon game!
i returned to game and altho i like it once you've played a couple of hours not much improves furniture or decoration wise for me. it passes a few hours when im between 'big' games and need to zone out.
I find this game very fun. I don't know what it is about the story line, but I have played it repeatedly and keep finding myself coming back to play it again. I wish there were a new version or expansions because I think I am finally hitting my limit in replays
Some levels are just absolutely broken and impossible to beat. Winter Is Coming is especially egregious. The starting menu item nobody seems to order so it's basically worthless. I task as many maidens as I can into researching new recipes but everyone wants Skewers and Rabbit Stew which seem to be the last possible things you can actually research. I get up to 5 with the majority of them having bonuses to extra research and now matter how I approach it, I always run out of reputation before I can get the meals that I need so I had to use cheat software to pass the level. It would be nice if you could somehow select a starting recipe or the effing patrons would just order what's on the menu.
There is also an extremely annoying mechanic in that your patrons will just randomly start fighting each other. You can't do anything to stop or prevent this as it's not tied to happiness and you can't do anything like hire guards or mercs to break up the fights.
It's a shame because the game is kind of quirky, amusing, and I do enjoy it. But these issues prevent the main core game from being reasonably playable. I'm sure there's other issues that I was just lucky to not experience.

Played this game for a little over 20 hours , it gets repetitive but in those 20 hours I did have fun , I like the atmosphere and the soundtrack in the game , if it’s on sale I recommend it as a cozy tavern game

There are a lot of issues that need fixing and it hasnt been updated since 2020. The developer has published games since then so its not that they can't fix the bugs. They wont.
this game is so fun the first 2 levels are easy then it gets way harder you need to research more recipes and train your staff
This game was really, and I mean, REALLY, laggy. this was one of the first games on my pc so I can assure you this was not a storage problem, but now , when I have had this game for over a year, It is still just as laggy. I'm not even sure if the problem is my computer, but I'm just trying to warn, or even just say, that this was a kind of hard experience for me to enjoy, because it was so LAGGY.
I like this game, it looks like I am also having trouble with Bay of seas. Seems no matter what I try I lose. Looks like I'm not alone. Have not played in a year now I like to play offline and since steam changed few things I cannot find the "play offline mode".
A Tavern Tycoon where you have to conform to designing in structures in fixed locations with rooms and furniture that require most of the real estate. I've played this game for 9.1 hours and still haven't made it to end game. Terapoly gonna need to pay me they want me to play this ♥♥♥♥ again. Its awful.

Unfinished, poorly tuned rubbish. Good concept, poor execution. Balance is out of the picture and the devs clearly did this for a quick cash grab before abandoning it. Devs, if you're reading this, I won't be buying another one of your crap. One of the worse games I've played and it shows that the devs weren't thinking when they made this.

During the first levels the gameplay is very boring and when its starts to build up, you reach a certain level its impossible to win. You have to have every room available from the start and the money you start with is too low. Ive tried this level so many times now with different strategies but it cant be beated. So this was a total waste of time.
The game is also complaining about hygiene even tho its clean everywhere, bug? So its decreasing your rep all over.

Functionality isn't quite fleshed out, a room once placed can not be editted, only deleted. The UI feels clunky and despite having things like training and research rooms there is barely anything to do there.
With some updates this could be improved but the game hasn't recieved any attention for a couple of years now.
Closing remark: the patrons at the bar slurp down their beer with noise and there is no music/SFX slider.
Was very fun when it worked. Now you cannot pass a certain point due to bugs, and it looks as though they've stopped all support for the game.

I give this game a rating of "meh, it's good enough."
At this point in time, where there are a lot of better simulation. strategy and management games, I'll give this a pass. IT's still fun on its own right, but dare I say that it's not as good as the others in the market. This game had a lot of potential, but has been left on its own. It is almost outdated.
Is it worth the money? No, only buy it during sale.
Would you recommend this game? Yeah sure, only if you get it cheap and only if you like spending your time alone repeating levels when you just can'gt get it, and if you're fine with minor bugs.
Either way, I enjoyed the game until, well, the first initial levels were done. I give this a thumbs up because I appreciate the work put into it, though I'm disappointed that it was left on its own.

Research takes way too long even in easy mode. The guests constantly complain that you don't have something tanking your rep and making you lose.
I really liked this game . It is not for everyone clearly by all the negative reviews, but it does bring a challenge to the table and makes you think and strategize on how you build up your places. Placing over 100 hours into this game , the selection for variety is limited , yes, BUT that alone does not make it a bad game for someone like me . :)

Game would be fun if it was possible to win. Unless you have every possible room and type of food and research on the first day, which isn't possible to afford, most of your guests will leave negative reviews and get your tavern shut down, so it's just constant struggling against that for as long as possible with no hope of long term success. Also various small bugs that cause point increases to not be applied, game declares that you have 'terrible hygiene' while everything is spotless and clean, and so on, that just stops it working right. If it were fixed up, it might be nice, but at this point it doesn't seem likely.
Instead, all you can do is set up a nice tavern and watch over and over as people walk through the door, look around, say 'but this isn't the library' and walk out again, plummeting your score.
Fairly shallow gameplay. After you play for a few hours, there really isn't much to do.

Όταν επιλέγω Very Easy επίπεδο δυσκολίας δεν εννοώ Very Hard, απλά δεν αξίζει αυτό το game, μην πετάξετε τα λεφτά σας εκεί. Απλά πέφτει το reputation μόλις και από το πρώτο level και δεν έχεις καμία βοήθεια για το πως να το σταματήσεις, επίσης κάποια πράγματα που στο ρίχνουν δεν μπορείς να κάνεις κάτι για αυτά. Τραγικό παιχνίδι και μακριά !!!!!!!

Что могло ПОЙТИ НЕ ТАК? Как разработчики НЕ СМОГЛИ НАЙТИ ПУТЬ к идеальной игре? Как игра ЗАСТРЯЛА НА ПОЛПУТИ до пьедестала? Ну вы поняли, искусственный интеллект и патфайндер просто убивает игру при определённом числе посетителей и персонала таверны. Гости начинают намертво застревать друг в друге, работники вместо соседних задач бегут выполнять что-то в противополжный угол таверны, а алкоголики теряют терпение не дойдя до стойки бара, даже если она находится в двух метрах от него. Есть баги и поменьше, с которыми на этом этапе я даже готов смириться, но когда игра в одну секунду превращается в кирпич из-за достижения точки невозврата, становится до безобразия обидно. И никаких шансов на доработку — последний патч был в декабре 2020-ого. Строго не рекомендую.

I's funny how the Dev abandoned this game with a ton of bugs but expect us to buy another EA game from them. lol What a joke. There are so many issues with this game it was truly a waste of my money. DO NOT BUY!! The bugs you see when you get to level 3 doesn't get fixed or better in the subsequent levels. After level 5 it just gets plain boring. Here again I remind people to read the discussion boards before you purchase EA (or any game) because this game was barely finished before the dev totally abandoned it.

It is a fairly simple mechanism that once you have figured it out, gets kind of boring, but if you don't know, immensely frustrating as evidenced by the 1.6 percent of players that completed the objectives.
I really enjoyed this one for the 90 or so hours it took to figure it out, apart from the armadillo rat squeals it was very enjoyable.

Ok... so, I've had this game since the early access days and I've just got around to playing it. So far I think it's a fun game. It definitely has a challenge curve to it on the higher difficulty levels but not too hard to deal with but enough to make you think about your decisions. My only gripe, if I could say about the game is, they really need to update the seating tables with how they have it set up. It really doesn't make any sense to have a "table for 2" but only 1 person can be seated per table. I feel if they fix that, it will take a lot of the stress off players constantly getting annoyed by the Tavern guy repeating that we need more tables. Other than that the game is a great game to play. Currently on level 2 looking forward to get to the other levels!

영어 수준은 중학교 수준의 문장 독해력만 있으면 게임하는데 별로 지장이 없다.
어떤 선택을 내리는데 있어서 패널티가 있다면 내용에 분명하게 표시해주기 때문에 본문도 깊게 이해 할 필요는 없으며, 이런류 게임 치고는 UI가 썩 괜찮은 편이기 때문에 한번 익숙해지면 게임내내 불편한 점은 없는편.
게임은 2019년에 출시된 게임치고는 컨텐츠가 부족한 편에 속한다. 일반객실은 무조건 1인실이며, 당연히 단체손님 개념도 없고(단체 예약이 있긴 하나, 개별 손님이 몰려오는 것 뿐이다.) 내부 장식을 다양하게 마음대로 할 수 있는것도 아니다. 음식은 종류가 여러가지 준비되어있지만 선택해서 연구 할 수 없고, 재료를 재고관리 할 필요가 없어 사실상 연구가 준비되지 않을경우 안고가는 패널티 취급이다.
사실 이 게임의 다양한 시설과 유틸리티들이 "설치 함으로써 더 좋은 평판과 수입을 얻을 수 있는 것"이 아니라, "없으면 곧바로 불평하고 평판을 즉시 낮추기 시작하는 화장실 같은 존재"들이다. 따라서 각 객층별로 일부라도 이용할 수 있는 시설을 확보한 상태로 시작하게 되며, 게임 플레이가 변곡점 없이 단순하게 흘러간다는 문제가 있다. 요컨대 먼 옛날의 롤러코스터 타이쿤은 새 놀이기구가 개발될 때 마다 설치 위치를 확보하고 주변에 어떤 영향을 주는지 따져가며 놀이공원을 지속적으로 손봐야 하는데, 이 게임은 그런 요소가 전무하다는 단점이 있다.
I find it funny. Is not a massive great game or something that is going to change your life, but it is funny play it.
I think it is better to wait until a deal or something because the price is a bit expensive for the game.
Most of the bad reviews or complains saying "this game sucks" are mostly because people don't make any effort trying to understand the game and how it works, they understand why something happens, they get angry and just blame the game. But if you pay attention, you can get it.
Some parts are hard, but are approachable when you get the hang of it. Maybe the main problem is that the game doesn't tell you much directly, you need to get it. Reading the comments of the clients is a key for that, which, I guess, most people don´t do.

Love love love love it!!!! It's a FANTASTIC sim game of saving this Tavern, difference is, that it uber challenges you and just when you think you've got it you lose!! Now you gotta remember what you have tried before so that you don't repeat your mistakes.

Early acces was promising, but the delivery "as is" settles the game as mediocre/bland.
This is a game so terrible it's good. I highly recommend purchasing this and playing it for a small amount of time before leaving a similar review and never playing it again.
Too many bugs. Need to update. Customers walk around looking for seating even though its there. Pathing is incorrect. No Buenos.

If you want a fix for medieval tavern game, then sure, get this on sale, However, be prepared for some repetitiveness.
IMO, this game have some polishing left to do. The story mode levels have a steep curve, even in easy mode. The guests would not even give a grace period when you started before demanding everything, when you don't have the resources to get everything ready. Even in free play, there's some not-game-play breaking bugs that could affect the long and end game. Some mechanics aren't explained enough how they work.
If you really crave some fantasy tavern feeling just go to an IRL bar designed to be like a tavern.

Ever since Theme Hospital came out, no note-worthy games would appear to pass the torch of isometric hospital management for the following 2 decades... That changed when Two Point Hospital was released in 2018. And one year later, Tavern Tycoon was released after its early access period.
Tavern Tycoon is definitely following the formula of Theme Hospital, though obvious to the name, it's for managing a tavern in a fantasy setting and with a similar dose of humor. Be as it may, I've only played through 2 levels to decide that Tavern Tycoon already lost its freshness. The humor works in its fantasy fashion but otherwise, it's pretty boring to see the people going about their business in the tavern drinking, resting and training.
Tavern Tycoon could have been a worthy cornerstone in the aftermath of the hospital management, for gamers who want the itch scratched through a spiritual successor with a fantasy twist. However, the game design and the execution is lacking too much for me to stick around with. Don't count on future updates coming, since the community has noticed that the dev hasn't come back to this for years. It might be a winner or a dud for you, so try it out only before you decide to keep it or not. There's yet to be a worthy peer to go alongside with Two Point Hospital, in my opinion.

Don't buy this game. It's not only been abandoned by the devs but in its current build, it is almost impossible to actually finish most levels.
I have tried quite literally everything possible but it feels impossible to complete it if you play at a difficulty higher than Easy. Don't get bamboozled like me!
