This reminded me of the Squids Odyssey game on mobile which I really enjoyed. Overall I enjoyed it and its unique playing style.
This game is very interesting because it is inspired by board games like Carrom and Pichenotte.
Like many physics games, there is an element of randomness which is quite fun ; even with a good strategy, you cannot entirely predict what will happen !
I also like very much the graphic style and the sound design is pretty good.
On the minus side, the game has no options for the opponent AI and, so, no difficulty setting.
Great shuffleboard-like game with plenty of strategy, a decently long campaign, and the added challenge of getting par on each level based on the number of turns taken. And also, it's just fun to smash around cool action figures. Very unique.
Such a simple concept. Turn-based tactics with a putt-putt golf drag-and-pull mechanic has surprising depth. I thought it was a little trite and silly at first, but it has a "just one more round"-addictive quality.
My only complaint is it's too short.
Bon petit jeu original. Certains défauts nuisent au jeu : pas de zoom/dézoom sur le plateau de jeu, déplacement de la vue plateau pas pratique, des cartes de personnages qui cachent le plateau en début de partie. Mais une bonne rejouabilité. Un jeu à essayer.

Great game play and story line. ive only completed the story line; getting all the medals in each level too. looking forward to the arcade mode. i see a level i played at insomnia 65.
i liked the randomness of the rocks that spawn in (spawning in with different amount of damage to them)
My views on what can be changed;
-being able to pick up/reset after placing the wrong player down.
-the edge could be doing with a bit small (if able. been plenty of times where the players hit boxes are fully past the playable tiles but sit on the edge.)
-maybe add a pvp mode with set board layouts and spawn places
-could also add a custom editing mode where they can set the layout and spawn places ?
but i would rate this game: 4/5 i did enjoy playing it.
Great game that offers a lot of fun and is always a nice little thing to play on the side, while talking to others, listening to audio books or something like that.
One of those nice easy to learn, hard to master games. But also not overly complex to the point of being overkill. Just a nice overall balance.
Learn to choose your characters and how to aim and you are good to go.

This is a very nice game when you are looking for something different. RagTag really nails the bar shuffleboard and crokinole mechanics. The game offers a "par" to beat each level, and if you knock all the bad guys off the board within par, you get a medal for that level. It looks like there are 35 or so unique maps and battles. I'm not sure how much game time that is, but I sure hope there is some kind of arena or randomly generated repeatable battle once you have completed the base missions. Otherwise, there may not be much replayability other than replaying missions to get par on all of them.
I am still early in the game, but I have already unlocked two new units. I don't think there are any RPGish mechanics at all in this game. It's a sequential set of missions with unique maps and obstacles to battle on for each mission. The new units I have unlocked so far have given me a slower but super heavy hitting unit, and a unit that will pass through other friendly units without bumping into them, and other friendly units can move through her also. Very cool!
Before each mission, there is some text and voiceover that describes the situation, and moves the story along. Also, after certain missions there are cut scenes for more story.
RagTag does not appear to have any sort of strategic gameplay whatsoever, and definitely won't win any medals for deep gameplay. But, it sure is fun to bounce your units into the enemy units and knock them off the board in a set amount of turns. The A.I. does make some questionable shots from time to time. Oh well, that adds to the chaotic nature of this game, I guess.
The art is very nice and hand drawn. I believe the developer, Windybeard, does all his own art. That's very cool! I hope I'm not wrong here.
There is enough gameplay in here for me, and I knew what I was getting when I bought the game. It's all about positioning, using the right unit at the right time, and blasting the enemy off the board. That's it. It's sure great to have indie games in our world!

really fun action-strategy game, enjoyed every second of it so far.
Ragtag started as a fun game, but grew on me the more I played it. I first felt like it would be easy... and was flicking my units aggressively into the enemy units hoping for miracles. Then realised how bad I was. But over time, without really knowing it, I ended up getting pretty strategic and thoughtful about unit choice and my shots.
The game surprised me with its replayability factor, as the different units you unlock later in the game can then be used on earlier levels. The par requirements for levels for me weren't too easy, I ended up having to replay a bunch of the levels in order to earn the medals so I could try the arcade mode. Have really enjoyed so far, and look forward to playing through the arcade modes now.

Another fantastic little indie gem from WindyBeardGames.
A really fun mechanic that has remained fun throughout. The game manages this by when you think 'Ok I got this' it throws new things at you, it keeps up the interest by unlocking new units with different abilities as you play, while introducing new enemy units with their own powers. These new units mean new different strategies that can be played around with.
Fun, challenging but with a nice calm curve.
Side note - the cut scenes were fantastic and really added to the game. Art is top notch and the price point is nice defo worth the price.

A game the combines Sci-fi and Subbuteo (for those of us old enough to remember). You basically flick your players around the levels hitting the enemies and trying to knock one off. Once you knock one off, you can knock off a few more. You win the levels by knocking off all the enemies.
It has nice art, music (also available to buy), sound effects and story driven cutscenes.
Plenty of options to play with in regards to the unlockable characters.
An easy game to pick up and play whenever you have a spare 5 minutes.
Includes achievements for those of you who like to grind to complete it 100%.
Includes an Arcade Mode once you finish the game which is a nice touch if you want to keep playing.
I would recommend to my friends if I had any.
Excellent game. I own all games from Windybeard. But this one is my favorite. Casual deep strategy. As I like it.
A very addictive game that seems straightforward on the surface but opens up lots of strategies once you begin unlocking more pieces with skills and maps that require more planning. The artwork is all beautifully hand-drawn including the cutscenes with a nice coherent story that is narrated. The campaign is fun and knocking the enemy pieces off the board is very satisfying. Earning coins allows you to play more surgical levels in an arcade mode once the story is finished, which is a nice touch.
Since it's great fun to play I feel it has lots of replay value and I hope more DLC or a sequel is planned for the future. All in all, there is nothing to fault with this game, a solid piece of entertainment which I would highly recommend. Shifter is bae.
(FYI, playing through Wine 4.1 for MacOS which works fine)

Unique and very innovative gameplay mechanics together with good and fitting graphics and sound, this is indie gaming at its very best, well worth the asking price wich in my opinion, is too low for this level of craftmanship. Would love to see a DLC down the road.. "please sir. can I have some more?"
If you're looking for a few hours of mindless fun this game is for you. Play until you have a Warstrich and then ONLY USE THAT. Seriously... I love these creatures :')
The game can sometimes be a bit random, but I feel like that's part of the fun. If you are trying to get medals I'd suggest playing it all the way through and then using the unlocked units to re-play the earlier levels.

Watched this game being developed over the last year and have been really looking forward to it.
Windybeard's games have always been beautiful to look at and fun to play, with this game continuing the trend. Easy to pick up and get into it, with the coin challenges and arcade mode requiring a bit more skill and practise to achieve.
I was privileged to be part of the beta testing phase via a beta key, but purchased upon live release.
Overall a great little game with an awesome soundtrack!
I've waited for this games release for quite a while! Finally it arrived and I can say: It's very very good and I am really happy with the product.
As in every game by Windybeard the art just looks great! Also the gameplay is really smooth. The flinging of the miniatures (and especially kicking enemies off the gameboard) feels really satisfying. Also the different ways you can build your "gang" add a lot of depth and strategy to the game. Failed a mission? No problemo, just swap some units and try a different approach.
Really looking forward to dive deeper and collect all the coins!
