This game starts off really strong, good atmosphere, fun mechanics, cool ideas, all in a really nice setting.

but as you hit midgame the wheels start to come off. its very clear they have run out of ideas, the ammount of streamer glazing is horrendeous and becomes a real chore. theres very little in terms of upgrades worth getting besides capacity for camp and quarentine.

And the ending is truly a stinker. I was expecting something, anything as the campaign winded up, a massive assault, the camp falling appart, a mass breakout, something. but nope. it just ends with one half assed cut scene. Its all the more dissappointing because in the beginning this game was so promising.

Its worth it if you can get it for about 7-10 bucks and are into job sim games, but thats it.

This is an okay game.

It have potential for expansion into a bunch of sub genre's

After some time here is what I like
1. Progression during campaign was good
2. Some sub stories for follow about the survivors.
3. Some easter egg refering to RCE.

What I think should improve
1. More bizarre outfits and underwear
2. XXX mode with unexpected content
3. Toy vs real guns, salt vs drugs the stuff the TSA battle with every day
4. Explaining deaths to people that didn't make it as part of a group (3 of the 4 friends survived)
5. More symptoms appearing.

[b]Eine beklemmende Prämisse, die sofort fesselt[/b]
Quarantine Check: The Last Check hat mich schon mit seiner Grundidee neugierig gemacht. Man arbeitet an einem Kontrollpunkt während einer gefährlichen Pandemie und entscheidet, wer passieren darf und wer nicht. Das klingt zunächst simpel, entwickelt sich aber schnell zu einem spannenden Spiel voller moralischer Entscheidungen. Schon nach kurzer Zeit merkt man, dass jede Entscheidung Konsequenzen haben kann und genau das sorgt für eine konstant angespannte Atmosphäre.

[b]Eine Story über Verantwortung und Zweifel[/b]
Die Geschichte entfaltet sich langsam über die Menschen, die man kontrolliert. Jeder hat eine eigene Geschichte, eigene Gründe und manchmal auch Geheimnisse. Einige wirken verzweifelt, andere verdächtig und wieder andere versuchen einfach nur zu überleben. Während man Dokumente prüft, Fragen stellt und Entscheidungen trifft, merkt man immer mehr, dass es nicht nur um Regeln geht, sondern auch um Moral und Menschlichkeit. Ich fand es spannend, wie das Spiel einen immer wieder vor schwierige Entscheidungen stellt.

[b]Gameplay, das auf Beobachtung und Denken setzt[/b]
Spielerisch erinnert vieles an klassische Kontroll und Entscheidungs Spiele. Man prüft Dokumente, vergleicht Angaben und achtet auf kleine Details. Genau diese Mechanik funktioniert überraschend gut, weil man ständig aufmerksam bleiben muss. Kleine Hinweise können entscheiden, ob jemand lügt oder die Wahrheit sagt. Das sorgt für ein angenehmes Gefühl von Spannung, obwohl das Spiel eigentlich recht ruhig abläuft.

[b]Atmosphäre durch einfache Mittel[/b]
Das Spiel setzt nicht auf große Effekte, sondern auf Stimmung. Die Umgebung wirkt isoliert und angespannt, während immer neue Menschen am Kontrollpunkt auftauchen. Die Musik und Geräuschkulisse unterstreichen dieses Gefühl von Unsicherheit sehr gut. Man spürt förmlich den Druck der Situation und die Verantwortung, die auf den eigenen Entscheidungen lastet.

[b]Ein Spiel, das zum Nachdenken anregt[/b]
Was mir besonders gefallen hat, ist die Art, wie das Spiel moralische Fragen stellt, ohne einfache Antworten zu geben. Man fragt sich oft, ob man gerade das Richtige getan hat oder ob eine andere Entscheidung besser gewesen wäre. Genau dieser Gedanke bleibt auch nach dem Spielen noch im Kopf.

Разрабы выкатили неплохой симулятор, хорошо передали атмосферу досмотрового пункта в условиях карантина. Игровой процесс в принципе понятен и приятен. Но без минусов никуда:
1. В 2026 году очень приятно видеть НОГИ у ГГ. К сожалению мы здесь инспектор левитирующий. Вообще в принципе игре не хватает анимаций взаимодействия, но видимо ГГ настолько очаровательный, что [spoiler] кошка кайфует от одного его вида. [/spoiler]
2. Остальные сотрудники карантинной зоны ну уж совсем болванчики. Зомби ходит рядом - охрана убедительно держит ствол наперевес. Ну максимум поймут, что ковыляющая страхолюдина нездорова и прицелятся. Недоработка.
3. Некоторые квесты ну уж совсем бредовые. Пасхалки это норма, но в пределах здравого смысла.
Подытожу - душевно. Но на разочек. Можно было и лучше.

It's really great, $20 dollars is steep price tho. I dont like having to run around for tasks without any hints on what im looking for, it gets very annoying which is my least favorite part (like the graffiti thing). I also dont like the drone attacks at night that you have to do since i dont like shooter games (i'm bad at them) and i didnt notice it advertised very much for this game. Overall i really like the mechanics of running the base tho, 7.5/10. I also noticed i had to adjust a bunch of my graphic settings so the flashlight actually worked properly.

This is fun for a couple hours, but there's not a lot of content. It's not worth more than $5, and the DLC is not worth it. The "special survivors" modeled after Twitch streamers and other video game characters are annoying after the third one you encounter. I don't care that CaseOh or Crazy Dave or Meg Thomas are here. I would rather a story was here instead of my favorite streamer.

If you have played the game Papers Please from 2013, then you've already played a more interesting, fast-paced, and story-driven version of this game. If you haven't played Papers Please, go play that instead.

Ein Spiel mit einer guten Repetitivität. Man macht regelmäßig Fortschritte, sodass es dennoch nie langweilig wird. Hier und da gibt es Graphik- und Errungenschaftsbugs, diese stören das Spielerlebnis jedoch nicht allzu sehr. Mit einer Spielzeit von ca. 16 Stunden für einen Durchlauf der Kampagne plus Sandboxmodus, macht sich der Preis von um die 20 € auch gut genug bezahlt.

[i]Quarantine Zone: The Last Check[/i] è un simulatore di ispezione davvero originale, che riesce a distinguersi in un genere zombie ormai saturo, con un'idea di fondo brillante che però non viene sfruttata al massimo del suo potenziale.
Il concept è immediato e intrigante: sei il comandante di un checkpoint militare ai margini di una città devastata dagli zombi, e il tuo compito è ispezionare i sopravvissuti uno ad uno per deciderne il destino. Chi entra, chi va in quarantena, chi non ha speranza. Il paragone che viene naturale fare è con [i]Papers, Please[/i], ma in tre dimensioni e con zombie, e funziona, almeno all'inizio. Il sistema di ispezione cresce bene nel tempo: si parte da controlli visivi di base e si arriva a scanner, raggi X e persino analisi su soggetti vivi. Nelle prime ore il gioco ti tiene incollato, e ogni scelta pesa davvero.
Il problema è che quella tensione, pian piano, si sgonfia. Il loop di gameplay è costruito decentemente, ma dopo un po' ti accorgi che stai sempre facendo le stesse cose: ispezioni, quarantena, gestione base, difesa col drone, e si ricomincia. La gestione della base rimane troppo in superficie e il minigioco col drone sembra quasi un riempitivo anche noioso, un peccato.
Restano anche alcune ruvidezze tecniche, ma nulla che rovini davvero l'esperienza. È chiaramente un titolo d'esordio, e si vede.
Lo consiglio a chi ama i gestionali con un po' di tensione morale e non si spaventa di fronte a un'esperienza relativamente breve, a tratti poco spiegata, ma comunque genuina.

Sehr cooles Game in dem man gute und spaßige Stunden verbringen kann. Achievements waren auch einfach zu bekommen was für mich als Achievementfarmer das ganze nochmal attraktiver gemacht hat. Ich liebe aber vor allem die Anspielungen auf Spiele, wie zum Beispiel Plants vs Zombies mit Crazy Dave oder denn vier Anfangs-Survivor'n aus Dead by Daylight. Hat wirklich Spaß gemacht und für so ein kleines Entwicklerstudio definitiv sehr cooles Game :D

This game is cute and worth a spin. Is it perfect? No. Is it weirdly relaxing? Yup.
PROS:
- Fun pattern-spotting with enough variety to keep you missing some from time to time
- Good ramp-up of abilities so you don't waste times on skills you've already proven and can focus on new stuff
- Game length is good, campaign dropping off just as you start feeling the edges of the experience
- Some interesting choices with the limited spaces and syringes
- The mini-game with the night-hordes is good for adding a bit of tension and doesn't happen so often that it gets annoying
- You can pet the cat

CONS:
- Some visuals aren't quite different enough to reliably tell them apart (especially some organs: bleeding vs necro, or what might be behind some UV spikes)
- Its hard to tell what you did wrong sometimes when you get less then 'excellent', which adds stress and you can't be sure if you just sent a zombie into camp or if the game is bugged
- Zombies just randomly appearing in camp, while breaking rhythm, is just odd... how are they getting there, and why is no one seeming to react to them other then you
- The guards. They stand around, machine-guns, full body armor... and every time one of those zombies wonders around camp, or a survivor-zombie goes 'rawwr' and comes after you (always you), they just kinda chill... watch... let you deal with it... and then after a while seem to remember they're supposed to do something, but usually only after you (the doctor) dealt with the problem
- The special quests don't seem to play well... first off if you send them to quarantine there's a good chance a zombie will eat them by morning and break the quest chain... if they survive there's no telling what's supposed to fire and when (eg. solomon).. some of them stay blue 'I have a quest' after their quests are done (maybe?)... Good idea for narration but doesn't work great
- Some narrative breaks are just kinda funny but also... - you're have an optional quest to collect body-parts for this guy that wants to build a body, turns out 'fingers' count, so you can just collect 5 fingers and somehow he makes those 5 fingers into a body I guess? In another one a person breaks in to save another person.. except you already killed that other person.. but they still break in and 'watch them die in front of them'.. Its a little immersion breaking

Anyway, its not a giant long experience, it does what it says on the tin, and I have no regrets about playing it.

一応オススメにはするが、現状まだ買わなくてもいいんじゃないかと思うところが多い。
他の方が書いている通り翻訳関連の部分で指示通りこなすことが難しい部分がメインだが
それ以外にもチェックの評価が低かった場合の答え合わせや住人の死亡理由が不明だったり
拠点管理系が基本おまけでほとんど機能していなかったり・・・とアップデートを期待したい部分が多い。
とくにキャンペーンをクリアした後にエンドレスが解放されはするが、正直キャンペーンクリア後までやりこみたいほど何かがあるかといわれるとサブクエスト関連くらいな印象
なにをというと難しいが、もう少しチェックする項目だったりジレンマ的な要素があるとよかったかなというところ

Concept is great, the gameplay is generally enjoyable and it’s a game I’d love to see thrive.

But there are some glaring issues that still need to be addressed. Penalisation for abiding by bulletin board tasks (e.g. not confiscating an item as per request, then being penalised and failing the task for not doing so), poor inspection marks for liquidating survivors with obvious signs of infection (necrosis, green skin, pus, etc.) and game breaking bugs that prevent progress (quite often you’ll have to restart after feeding your first caged zombie as part of the campaign).

With some TLC, these problems could be alleviated and this game could be much better. Here’s hoping that we’ll see an update eventually.

с каждым новым выжившим мы получаем новые приборы для досмотра, очень интересно их изучать и игра очень затягивает этим, погода с каждым днём меняется чтоб кпп не надоедал однотипным оттенком, в игре нужно очень тщательно осматривать выжившего ведь в каждой крошиночке возможно кроется вирус и игра заставляет задуматься пускать его на базу или нет... лайк!

Watched jacksepticeye play this and thought it looked really fun so I bought it because it was 20% off on steam, I really love it. Controls/mechanics are easy to get used to, there's enough variation that it doesn't get boring, and I can play for hours at a time. The only thing I don't like is the drone defence section but that's just because I'm not very good at it lol, the first time took me 3 tries to complete.

The basic idea is good, an i like job simulators anyway so i tried it.
By default, the gameplay is fun, and the progression is good, though lot of the things come a bit too late.
The campaign is short, which is good since at the end it starts to get boring, though for this price point this is not enough content. You have to play it trough twice, to get all the achievements, because the game operates with save slots, and auto saves, which is a terrible decision. In 2026 if your game has no manual save option, you are doing game development wrong. And the game only has 3 save slots, i mean you'll not play that much with it that you need it, but this is such a stupid restriction.

As you progress the game, and unlock more symptoms to find, the harder the game will get, because there are symptoms , like pale skin, which are almost impossible to notice (thanks to bad color design). And sometimes you will not notice symptoms, that you can't notice at that point of the game, but you'll still get penalties for it. Or infected in the camp.
The game gives you penalties for messing up, but they feel too harsh. Especially, because a lot of times it is the fault of the game itself.
Quarantine: this is the stupidest part. All suspicious survivors, that you send into quarantine, go into the same room. When you upgrade it, to be able to house more patients, it does not get bigger, just will accept more people. And if there is an infected among them, they will just kill all the rest. There should be 1 person rooms instead. Such a stupid design decision...
Talking about upgrading, the base upgrade and management system of the game is really really bad. It feels like, it has 0 impact on the game.
Zombie attacks, that you have to fend back are also a big dissapointment. You see siluettes on a black and white screen, from the air, and you drop bombs on them. No challange, no fun, just an annoying chore. Ther base upgrade for it? 2 gunners on the wall. They are one os the most expensive, most useless late game upgrades of the game.

Also, when you hold your weapon you skin is showing. All other items: gloves and hazmat suit (as you should be), but with weapon in hand? no clothing on the wrist. Why, just why?

I'd really like to like this game. I did not refund it, since i enjoyed the early game, but as it progresses, the worse it gets.
I hope it will get some free content updates in the future, because it is way overpriced for the amount of content it has.

So in tl;dr: lack of content, boring endgame, mid gameplay with lot of issues, overpriced.

Игра понравилась. Не большие квесты в тему, мне хотелось бы их чуть по больше. Игра не скатывается в однообразия, с каждый днем появляются новые приспособления, новые симптомы. Как по мне хорошо что она не затянута, с открытием всех инструментов обнаружения и всех симптомов, дальше делать днями одно и тоже мне бы быстро надоело.

《边境丧尸检察官》是一款第一人后末日模拟防疫的游戏，在危险传染病爆发的初期，建立好隔离区域，而在隔离区的边境做工作人员则要做好相关的防疫检查，不同程度的感染情况区分和隔离工作，就侍变的非常的重要。被感染人员会随着时间身体发生异变，而且被感染者身上也会有奇怪的伤口，而且被检疫的人员也知道一旦被感染初期还有点办法，严重了就只能被处理，也会想尽办逃过检疫的检查。这个时候就要使用手中的设备，发出不同的蓝光或者紫外线，不同的伤口和皮肤感染的情况在不同的光线下会有所反应，当然最好用的还是透视，可以看到那些刻意被隐藏的伤口。而且一些疑似感染者也很聪明，会佩戴一些帽子墨镜这些，可以命令他们摘除这些遮挡物

在经过简单的背景介绍后，以及对边境安全建议的重要性说明后，朴实无华的检疫工作就开始了。如果发现了轻微感染者或者确症的感染者，可以把他们按照症状的情况安排进不同的区域，简单区域就隔离，重度就直接清理掉。检疫人员手上有一个感染者病状不同部位的对照图，接下来就是游检测方式，目测和口头询问。将待检疫人员放进检疫缓冲区，命令其等待检查，此时可以近距离的上前观察，一般就是皮肤状态、眼睛充血情况、裸漏部位如腿、胳膊这些地方是否有咬痕、瘀伤等等，因为被感染者会随天数呈现出不同的状态，所以对照表也清楚的将不同阶段的照片，通过对照的就放行，没通过的先让进小黑屋，接受进一步的观察。
[h1]检查中总有各种情况[/h1]
小黑屋有一个全景窗，可以在小黑屋外观察待确认的疑似感染着，如果2天无任何更进一步的发病情况，那么可以确认是误判，放人离开，如果病情严重，可以开启消杀环节。需要注意的是小黑屋如果关的人过多，且真的有感染者在其中，可能会伤害到其他疑似病患，控制数量也很重要。边境区域也并非安全，隔一段时间就会爆发尸潮水，冲撞检疫闸口，这个时候就可以操作无人机对这些无视要求的感染者进行物理上的清理。而且检查站也会有设施或者是一些自然因素的问题，这些都需要处理。

总的来说，其实这类边境检查的模拟游戏也不少，但这种和末日题材相结合的还真不错，尤其是检查的过程中各种突发情况，疑似感染者突然暴起准备暴力冲关。大部分游玩乐趣还是集中在对话、检查和清理尸潮上。可以说是一个非常不错的模拟类游戏了。

Despite the fact this is Unreal Engine, I seriously love this game. You play as a military checkpoint officer, inspecting people and their belongings for signs of a zombie infection. You either send them to the survivor living area, the quarantine zone to monitor them, the lab for dissection, or to "liquidation". At the end of every four days, your CO comes to evacuate a certain number of survivors from you. The entire goal of the game is to meet his quota to the best of your ability. If you want to actually succeed in doing this you MUST be meticulous when inspecting survivors. Check everything and use all of your gadgets on everyone. So many people don't do this and then complain that they keep failing the quota lmao. There's also a base management system which is a welcome addition, but it isn't terribly complex. Additionally, you can find a ton of references to pop culture hidden around including survivors being actual IRL streamers. Easter eggs like that are such stupid fun and I love it. One last thing, the achievements. They are fairly easy to get with probably the most difficult ones requiring you to complete all five quotas in a single run and to achieve the bad ending.

I got this game at a discount, but even for full price, $19.99, this is a steal. Definitely pick this one up!

As with a lot of people, it would be nice if there was a "Neutral" option.
I'll start by saying that I'm on an all AMD machine, I did not revert my drivers and I had nothing beyond very minor issues (The audio glitching like twice and a couple of objects shimmering).

Now, the bad:
-I had issues with any sense of immersion getting shredded whenever one of the streamer NPCs came through.

-I think they could have had a slightly more official sounding automated message for when the perimeter is under attack, it just doesn't seem quite right and throws me off.

-There's a half-baked mini-game for defending the perimeter, where you man a huge drone with heavy weapons. I wouldn't mind it so much if it were a mounted gun that you had to run to, and if it didn't have missiles attached. I also wouldn't mind if they didn't include giant zombies out of nowhere, which I presume they had to add because the mini-game predictably gets boring very, very quickly. The gameplay of having to juggle funding to fix your facilities just doesn't feel quite right when you're flying an unmanned gunship around to solve problems. I understand that they probably didn't want to go through the trouble of actually animating hordes of zombies for a game that isn't at all about combat (the minigame just has bright-white outlines for the zombies), but I feel like they should have either just not done it or found a different solution.

-People fit the equivalent of a living room into their backpacks. I also understand that the backpack is a stand-in for all of the combined luggage that a person somehow managed to move during the apocalypse, but it throws me off when someone pulls 30 sandwiches, a computer tower and a monitor out of their bag. I get that funny gags are somewhat important in games like this (Papers Please, Contraband Police), but those gags are only funny because they're spaced out through the game ("Your papers say that you are a woman?" "Yes." "Face the camera." or the fake livestock full of cocaine) instead of in-your-face constantly. I might be the outlier, but when I'm playing a game about running a refugee center/ death camp during the end-times I'd like a minimum of attempts at direct comic relief.

-The protagonist's arms are exposed, while literally every other Government goon in the game, with the exception of the Major, is in full Hazmat gear. I'm sure it sucks to do, but they needed to animate the FPV with baggy plastic arms.

-A lot of the side quests are rather stupid, I'm looking at you Lemon confiscation quest.

-The game feels like it was made to bait streamers and their audiences into buying it. My friends had all heard of this game before because of that, and I'm the only one that bought it. I'd never once heard of it before seeing it on the steam store. For the love of God people, please don't nuke your own game in order to try new marketing techniques and stick to the good, actually enjoyable fundamentals of the genre. Remember that this genre of game is literally designed for people that like soulless monotony with a *light* or non-existent sprinkling of the quirky stuff, at least going by my own opinion and what I've seen other people that play these say. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it and just wrong.
TL:DR; they need an option to turn off the wacky ♥♥♥♥.

-You have a cat in your little shipping container office. I know that I already mentioned streamer bait, but this felt egregious. There are plague rats that have been eating zombies everywhere, you don't want your cat eating those, man.

-The protagonist's voice sounds completely different at the end of the game during their one actual conversation, compared to his "Kirov Reporting" impression voice when he's manning the checkpoint. The checkpoint voice is actually perfect, that has to stay no matter what.

-There is an additional trailer for collectables. It just doesn't belong. I firmly believe that in a game like this any collectables should be small-ish items that you put in places around your bedroom/ office. The collectables certainly shouldn't be huge golden items that you find in people's backpacks.

The Good:

-Your time in the checkpoint feels about like it should, above occasions notwithstanding. You process a line of terrified survivors and send over half of them to their deaths, either immediate or in the Quarantine zone. The entire camp is surrounded by heavily armed guards and nobody that's coming in knows what's going on, but they certainly don't want to stay outside.

-All of the symptom investigation mechanics feel surprisingly well done to me, as well as the laboratory mechanic. It's the meat of the game, and it's great. The only problems that I encountered in the entire campaign with this were my immersion getting broken every now and again, as mentioned above, and the off-colored organ symptom not specifying colors. It turns out that Yellow and Black organs are other things...

-I mentioned hating the Drone mini-game, HOWEVER if you ever played Killzone and wanted to LARP as the Hellghast aerial drones then this is the closest thing that I've come across compared to what I remember.

-The constant stream of civilians with either complete and utter disregard for the wellbeing of everyone else in the camp ("If you see anything, lie. I can't go back out there"), or sob stories that you factually know to be utter BS is there to help give you the soulless guard experience. Every time you have to deal with the evil civil servant that refuses to hear your pleas in a video game, help yourself to a flashback to this game.

-I would complain about you not seeing any form of paperwork whatsoever with people, in theory you should at least be writing something down for the future, but it seemed pretty clear to me that that was Georgie's theoretical job.

In conclusion, buy it on sale, and devs PLEASE add an option to remove the streamers and collectables. I would buy a more expensive remake if it was less quirky, had better graphics, and was 400% grittier. It's the zombie apocalypse, people, I don't want to feel like I'm playing on some new Gmod server. I want to play a game that has me working in the facility from State of Decay or something like it. Ironically you could accomplish a lot of that by having animations for picking things up in the lab instead of floating things mid-air.
