I thought playing this before getting into Little Goody Too Shoes, since it is its prequel, would have helped me understand the story better. It did not.

I really liked a lot puzzles being actually challenging and not just "find x to use on y" and the story is very ambitious in its use of symbolism and obfuscation, but it didn't feel like it was being excessive to the point of not being thought out at all; I would recommend this game if you enjoy complex psychological lesbian horror.

Antes de jogar esse daqui, melhor você jogar o Little Goody Two Shoes. É o primeiro jogo, mas você pode também jogar esse daqui e não vai afetar o "aproveitamento" do jogo, talvez você só perca algumas plot lines e a resolução do primeiro jogo neste daqui.

Jogo muito bom pra fãs daqueles de RPGMAKER. Sou tarado nesses e a arte e jogabilidade desse aqui é sensacional. Ele não reinventa a roda e o primeiro jogo (na minha opinião) ainda é superior, mas esse daqui dá pra curtir bastante.

Ele é linear também. O Primeiro tinha mais opções de finais, então eu jogaria esse mais como um desfecho/continuação do que um jogo próprio em si.

Gosh, I can't believe I didn't write a review of this gem back when I played it! The imagery still sticks with me now, months and months after my playthrough.

Genuinely one of the most beautiful games I have played. It scratches that shoujo itch I always have. In fact, though I am usually not the kind of person to be patient with grindy boss fights where one has to remember attack timings and changes in the map over attempts, I powered right through for this game. The pay off of moving through each storyline and being immersed in the art was simply worth it.

If you are someone who appreciates shoujo manga and anime, the macabre told through an unapologetically-frilly feminine lens, or just really *really* good pixel art, it would be a shame to miss out on this remastered game.

画风非常非常华丽的恐怖RPG游戏，音乐也很棒，游玩下来就像亲身经历了一场暗黑童话一样，谜题难度中等稍微偏上，部分谜题引导偏弱，追逐战难度中等，基本没有跳脸，剧情比较意识流，但是打完也都能懂个大概，路上一定要多存档，可以看到不同的结局，追逐战死了也能及时复活，不过因为这游戏不能随时存档只能在固定地点存档的原因，有时候追逐战死了还得重新看一遍剧情再继续追逐战，二周目会有隐藏的房间和结局，需要收集南瓜饰品，实在看不懂剧情可以去搜解说，感兴趣也可以去了解一下化妆镜前传:《Little Goody Two Shoes》，也是画风和音乐都非常好的游戏！

I am in love with this game ever since i first saw a gameplay of it, the design of the characters, the design of the backgrounds and even the design of the items are things that bring my attention to it so easily that I couldn't stop myself from buying it. I have yet to finish the game and perfect it (I want all the achievements) but I can say for sure how much i love this game.
Harpae's area is definetely my favorite (if we kinda ignore the murder mystery part, I really hate how slow that part is, sorry), I love the way she talks to the MC and the way you can FEEL that something is wrong with her.
And do i even need to talk about Lysette? she's just so Peak

The puzzles, if they can be called that feel deeply unintuitive and the controls don't feel great for the dexterity they require of you to escape some deaths.
Interacting with the same tiles several times over with no indication that anything has changed only to find your crucial key item suddenly magically now there feels... awful.
The aesthetic is fantastic, but that's the only thing it has going for it I fear.

Literally bought a Steam Deck largely because of this game. It’s beautiful, it’s eerie, it’s fantastical, it’s frightening. Psychological horror at its finest combined with pure RPG Maker goodness. Can’t recommend this enough!

prende sicuramente ispirazione da classici del genere come ib e the witch's house, ma è un'opera completamente diversa. splendidi i disegni, i soundtrack e la trama, che per apparire più chiara necessita di più di un playthrough. un pochino difficile ottenere i finali buoni andando alla cieca, ma una volta presa coscienza di ciò che rappresenta il viaggio della protagonista tutto appare più sensato.
ost preferita: the sun seeps through (sunlit harpae's mansion) - mi dà un senso di nostalgia fortissimo.
pg preferito: la zucca con il nastro rosso nella zona di egliette. sfida gli stereotipi di genere, una vera icona <3

真的太喜歡這款遊戲的美術了！
每一幕都好漂亮！真的好漂亮！用這些漂亮在支撐自己玩下去！
因為玩到最後真的覺得太沉悶無聊了
劇情過於隱晦，我智商不足沒辦法知道整個故事的全貌
有時候不小心死掉了，對話又要全部重來都不能跳過
重複多次之後就開始有煩躁感
最後我只破了兩個結局就堅持不下去了[strike]（因為即使給我結局了也還是看不懂）[/strike]
破關之後我去查了才知道有姊妹作[spoiler]（乖寶寶伊莉絲的兩隻鞋）[/spoiler]
裡面有比較詳細解釋了一切詛咒跟化妝鏡的由來，即使如此我也是懶得再回來玩了
以二分法來說我還是會推薦這款遊戲，因為它作畫實在好看，以RPG來說也是有可玩性
但如果是比較重視劇情的話應該會失望，大家可以斟酌一下

Pocket Mirror is a very thoughtful, very lovely game based on the tale of Alice in the Wonderland, and one of the two games that got me to faithfully fall in love with RPG Maker games. It is by date, one of the best game I've ever played. I'm not a game interested person myself, and I often play games just to get into the story and fall in adoration with well written characters, and Pocket Mirror, just like it's prequel Little Goody Two Shoes, never failed to making the story pacing, the direction and the gameplay interesting enough to get me hooked up enough to go for almost all the endings!! The plot is very well symbolic and hidden, but it takes a toll on you to be able to fit the logic pieces by yourself, specially if you only played it alone without the prequels context.

(spoilers ahead!!)

To my surprise, [spoiler]I would've never expected Pocket Mirror to give such a passionate and detailed representation of a character with DID due to a response of trauma. Fleta being her childish, spoiled, tantrum-ish, greedy alter; Lisette representing the violence, rage, confusion all being acumulated frustration due to domestic ab*se by her mother and Harpae being the alter that shields Goldia from the situations she was experiencing, also her depression, and how she reacts to all of her. The trials she experiences by having her soul 'shattered' and trialed by Stranger Boy/Ozzy is what we see throughout the gameplay, can also be all resumed to a delirious dream just like in alice in the wonderland, but what touched me most was Henri's relationship with her through it all. The poor boy watched his twin get more and more into her escapism, and even though having much love for his sister, choosing to make a pact with the one that cursed his family just to be able to get out of his hell of reality was what broke my heart the most. This story was closed with a very, very unfortunate message, but a very special fantastical and deep representation of one's mental condition.[/spoiler]

In my heart the true ending will always be Number 3, but we know how sadistic Astral Shift is with their characters, most likely the true ending would be Witching Hour or Shattered Reality, in which we see Henri's only appearance </3

综合来说：美术＞剧情
喜欢美术的可以入，这个画风和音乐特别合我胃口，作为一个日恐rpg有这么精美的美术真的是太舒服了，无论是立绘还是像素场景都非常精美，我很喜欢里面的光影
剧情可以说是全程谜语人，想深度了解的话多周目又得再打一遍，我还是选择云过剧情了，毕竟实在是太坐牢了重复剧情还不能跳过，也不能跳到关键节点，这就算了其实很多日恐都这样我也能接受，问题是别的几个结局也都很谜语人，可能辛辛苦苦打这么久还是看不懂呢。成就也是相当阴间有收集癖的劝退了打着特别坐牢啊（谁能想到那个房间还能重新进去。。还有帮人找手帕莫名其妙被推进河）
不过冲着这个美术风格我还是愿意给他一个好评的！
