While a short game, I got all but one achievement in around 1hr of game play, it is a good platformer
If you want something short with basic gameplay then play this. Lovely art and atmosphere with easy achievments. Maybe the game should tell you what to do but it´s fine, you´ll quickly figure it out yourself if you use your braincells for a moment or two.

I'm thinking that i got this game back in 2017-2018. Back then it was a fun little game to occupy my time, I guess. Now it's a little bit more meaningful as i find more details that make me think for a minute of nepalese symbolism and meaning that it carries. Good if you're an overthinker, fun if you want to spend about an hour or so of your time in peace.
Very short and fun game. I don't remember when I got this game. My first play through I did not understand a single thing and put this game on my back catalog for years. My second or third playthrough I finally understood this is a platform puzzle type and finished my playthrough. Although confusing this game is very visually appealing despite being a 2d platformer.

I really liked this game! The color palette is soft and the music is calming, so it's a very relaxing experience. The platforming itself isn't difficult or challenging, but it is an engaging way to explore what the game has to offer. The game is also pretty short: it doesn't take more than an hour to beat.
If you want a peaceful game with an intriguing little story, I recommend playing this.
Atmospheric, pretty.
Very cool art style, that kinda reminds me of Fez, although with more oppressive tones and sounds. Not that it's anywhere nearly as interesting as Fez - it's still just a big map where you collect stuff. In fact I wouldn't recommend it at any price other than free, not because it's short but because there's nothing interesting gameplay-wise. But for its atmosphere alone it's still pleasant to go through. The only issue I've had is that the buttons didn't correspond to the inputs on my DS4.

하나의 맵을 통해 조각을 찾아 관문에 끼워넣고, 맵 한가운데 있는 문을 여는 것이 목적.
숨겨진 도전과제도 있고, 맵 곳곳에 위치한 토템을 모두 건드리는 도전과제도 있다.
맵을 수시로 확인할 수가 없어서 문양을 꽂아 넣어야 하는 관문에서만 게임의
맵을 확인할 수 있는데 이게 거슬림.
다만 맵이 그리 넓은 것도 아니어서 클리어 하는데에는 지장없다.
A very interesting jaunt into a heavily tibetian influenced platforming world. The controls are sharp, the sound design is leaning on ambient without going too passive, and the visual design is intriguing. Not overly difficult, with a story you piece together, but I think a very well done experience and I very much enjoyed it (especially for the price of free)
If you're looking for something quick and quiet and a little melancholy, this is a great pick.
Mandagon was one of the first games I ever played. It was a perfect introduction, honestly-- calm, beautiful, low pressure. I blundered my way through the platforming, learning things little by little. And the moment in a particular section where I suddenly figured out that I was able to _fly?_ Impossibly magical, and still one of my warmest gaming memories to date.
A lot of my experience came from the very particular background I came to the game with, I understand, of having very little games literacy but lots of curiosity. I recommend it despite my probable bias. It will always be incredibly special to me. Many thanks to everyone who made this game happen-- in a small but very real way it opened up the larger world of gaming to me. Gramercy!

A short pixel-art game where you peacefully explore and reflect on spiritual themes.
A chill way to spend an hour or so. It's basically a short exploration platformer. No enemies or combat, just work your way around the map collecting keys to open the final door. I liked the fairly simple retro-styled graphics, and the controls are good. The profile features aren't limited for the achievements, so here's a free perfect game for experiencing a bit of relaxing platformer.

Absolute cinema
I played this game quite a ways back and looking at it now the graphic still hold up, it's a fairly pretty game. MANDAGON kind of lets you interpret the meaning for yourself but it's a pretty relaxing little journey with decent music, you can beat in under an hour.
Fairly short, fairly fun for the low low price of FREE

I apparently played this game once on YouTube when i was younger but dont remember playing it ever. Now that ive gone back i still dont remember it but i do enjoy it! I don't understand the story but its fun to play and i really enjoyed it! 8/10

I read the reviews about how philosophic this game is , yet i didn't get that part in the game , i mean there isn't much that you would under stand . However , i liked the relaxing style of gameplay in which you can sit back and enjoy a relaxing game .

MANDAGON is an indie platformer about being stoned. Ascended in 30ish minutes using a game controller. Difficulty is easy.
This game is weird. Weird in a neutral way.
It's one of those games that tells you absolutely nothing and leaves you to figure stuff out while a very meditative vibe looms about. There's barely gameplay involved; you jump around and hit X at things. What story can be patched together through talking to totems, and they speak in vague poetry. You learn about how to read a map without words. The graphics and game proceed Gris by quite a few years, but have a Gris feel about them.
Starting up the game leaves you with a white screen. Clicking anywhere start-starts the game.
MANDAGON isn't a bad game. Nor is it going to shatter your psyche into a million pieces and leave you to collect the bits. It's just a free, short game to sacrifice your mind to for a few minutes.

No combat, next to no platforming, barely a metroidvaina, and yet... among the best in the genre I have experienced.
Truly a "breathtaking" game.
This game was really pretty! The sound track and art worked together well to create a unique atmosphere. While there wasn't an explicit story line (at least one that was prominent), everything fit together thematically. I enjoyed exploring the world and gathering all of the tablets/interacting with everything I could. The game has a short play through and the achievements are all easily accessible. The platforming isn't difficult. Definitely not a game to speed through; enjoy the visuals and the experience!
This is basically a 2D style walking simulator where you wonder around some ruins and get badly written short poems told to you by statues. There is some minor platforming and collecting of puzzle pieces, which just leads to a big blue guy telling you another empty and meaningless poem.
It tries so hard to be artsy, but has no soul or any actual feeling behind it.
For the team that made it, it functions fine, so you can say they gained experience with programming and they were able to finish a project by making this, so decent lessons for them to learn. But for an actual game for other people to play and enjoy, it is completely uninteresting and a waste of time.

Nothing is explained, you’re just dropped into this game (if you can even call it that) with zero guidance, expected to magically know what to do. The gameplay boils down to walking, jumping, and collecting random objects with no clear purpose or payoff. There’s no challenge, no story development, just a tedious slog with no direction. Save yourself the time and frustration.
