A simple brainteasing puzzle game inspired by Tomb Raider that originally was a mobile game. I rolled my eyes too at first, but it is fun. A spinoff of course, yet a real Tomb Raider in every sense. It plays like an animated chess game. This game is best played by mouse. Happy I picked it up.

9/10 - A wonderful puzzle game with some challenging sections. Lovely visuals and simple controls. There are lots of sound effects that take you back to the original Tomb Raider games.
There is a handy 'Hints' option in pause menu if you get stuck which you can follow until you get to the pint where you were stuck on the section and then it can be switched off at any point so that you can keep solving the puzzle yourself. I really appreciated this feature as I got stuck a few times.
Each section of the game has collectables that you have to look out for and highlight with the pointer to collect. It added a 'raider' feel to the game where you are collecting artifact pieces and gems along the way.
A very creative, chill and polished entry to the Tomb Raider franchise that keeps you engaged and scratching your head every step of the way.

Despite the fact that Lara Croft GO is a mobile port, it still manages to offer a complete Tomb Raider experience : abandoned caves filled with treasures, puzzles, observation, otherwordly beings... It's short and the gameplay is basic, but there's pretty much all you can hope for in a mobile game.
The basic concept of this turn-based puzzle game set on a grid, is that when Lara makes a move, everything else moves right after. This goes for enemies, traps, rolling boulders, crumbling floors... So you can either plan your route and anticipate ahead of time, or try to improvise as you go. Both ways can be fun and it's possible to brute-force some sections (especially earlier on), but it's much more rewarding and satisfying to watch the events unfold exactly as you expected them to. It can even make you feel... Smart !
When you can't figure out what to do, or maybe just feel a little lost, the hint system seamlessly takes you by the hand and shows you how to proceed. It's smooth and lets you understand what you're doing, until you decide to let go of that hand at any point and continue on your own.
There are collectibles in the form of vases and pieces of relics hidden in every level that represent an optional observation challenge. Spot enough of those to gather a full set, and you'll unlock different outfits for Lara.
From the way it looks to how it works, it's obvious the game is a mobile port. Which means that it's designed around short play sessions, and that it's not very long. It's also rather easy, but comes with two Dlcs !
One introduces a mirror world, for twice as many Laras to control at the same time (that's twice as many... Guns !), while the other brings in immortal enemies you have to kill a certain way to progress. Both Dlcs are fun and represent more levels to solve, but I'll confess : I relied on the hint system a handful of times for that last one, as I found the puzzles more convoluted.
You won't find revolutionary gameplay or an unforgettable experience in Lara Croft GO, but a very decent puzzle game to play in short bursts every now and then. It nails the atmosphere, and the game feels like a neat little spin-off to the series.

I honestly regret discovering Lara Croft Go so late. I bought it a while ago but let it sit in my backlog for far too long. I finally realized I needed to complete it, and I’m glad I did.
This game is perfect for puzzle lovers. The Lara Croft theme initially drew me in, and the execution is brilliant. While the puzzles follow a linear path, the difficulty spikes in the later maps really tested my brain.
The mechanics are fascinating. I often found that overthinking led me nowhere a common habit of mine in puzzle games. However, the Hint feature is a lifesaver when you hit a total dead end. It provides just enough help to keep you moving without ruining the challenge.
The achievement system feels rewarding throughout the journey. My only gripe is the final unlockable. You receive the ultimate reward at the very end of the game, which means you don't get much actual playtime to enjoy it.
Lara Croft Go is an excellent choice if you want a puzzle game with a steady, satisfying escalation in difficulty. It’s polished, engaging, and atmospheric.

Esse jogo é versão minimalista e estratégica da clássica exploradora, apostando em uma experiência totalmente focada em puzzles por turnos, que valorizam lógica e observação. Em vez de ação intensa, esse jogo te entrega fases em formato de tabuleiro isométrico, onde cada movimento precisa ser pensado com cuidado. A proposta é simples, mas bem executada.
A curva de dificuldade é super acessível e introduz novas mecânicas de forma gradual, mantendo o jogo quase sempre interessante. Eu digo quase sempre porque ao jogar muito tempo seguido ele se torna repetitivo.
Por isso, ao meu ver, uma experiência perfeita são sessões rápidas, curtas e objetivas, deixando seu jogo com um ritmo fluido, sendo assim recomendo ir com calma e sem pressa...

Was sofort auffällt, ist der eigene, sehr stilisierte Look. Das Spiel setzt nicht auf Realismus, sondern auf eine minimalistische, fast schon kunstvolle Präsentation. Die Umgebungen sind schön gestaltet, farblich stimmig und schaffen eine richtig schöne Atmosphäre. Besonders in Kombination mit dem ruhigen, passenden Soundtrack entsteht eine angenehme, fast meditative Stimmung, die perfekt zum Rätsel Gameplay passt.
Spielerisch startet Lara Croft GO angenehm simpel. Die ersten Level führen gut in die Mechaniken ein und wirken zunächst sehr zugänglich. Doch nach und nach ziehen die Rätsel deutlich an. Später wird es stellenweise richtig knifflig, aber nie wirklich schwer, unfair oder frustrierend. Genau diese Balance macht viel vom Reiz aus. Man fühlt sich gefordert, aber nicht überfordert.
Auch Lara selbst ist stilistisch sehr gelungen umgesetzt, wie man sie halt kennt. Trotz des reduzierten Designs erkennt man sie sofort wieder und sie wirkt elegant und passend in diese minimalistische Spielwelt integriert.
Ein kleiner Schwachpunkt ist allerdings die Steuerung am PC. Das Spiel setzt komplett auf Maussteuerung, man bewegt sich mit einem Klick nach vorne oder in die jeweilige Richtung. Das ist zwar simpel und übersichtlich, wirkt auf Dauer aber etwas eintönig. Eine optionale Tastaturbelegung hätte hier gutgetan. Außerdem ist es anfangs nicht sofort intuitiv, dass man sich ausschließlich per Klick fortbewegt. Ich war zu Beginn kurz verwirrt und brauchte einen Moment, um zu verstehen, wie genau ich vorankomme.
Lara Croft GO überzeugt mit einem wunderschönen Stil, stimmungsvoller Musik und cleveren, fairen Rätseln. Der PC Port ist solide gelungen, auch wenn die reine Maussteuerung nicht jedermanns Sache ist. Wer ruhige, durchdachte Puzzle Spiele mit Atmosphäre mag, bekommt hier ein wirklich gelungenes Erlebnis.

I didn’t expect a turn-based puzzle game to capture the spirit of Tomb Raider so beautifully, but Lara Croft GO absolutely nails it.
The visual presentation is stunning. Instead of realistic environments, the game embraces a stylized, low-poly art direction full of sharp geometry, bold colors, and dramatic lighting. Every level feels like a carefully composed piece of playable concept art. It’s minimal, clean, and incredibly atmospheric.
What really impressed me is how well the game distills everything that makes Tomb Raider unique into its most basic form. Ancient ruins, deadly traps, environmental puzzles, giant creatures, relic hunting, it’s all here, just reimagined as pure, turn-based logic challenges. No filler, no noise. Just exploration and danger reduced to their core ideas.
It’s a brilliant reinterpretation of the franchise and proof that you don’t need massive cinematic set pieces to capture the soul of an adventure.

Pretty good game, I enjoyed it.
It's a good little puzzle game, not too easy not too hard, various mechanics introduced throughout the different worlds and levels, and some collectibles to add a bit of replayability. The controls are a bit odd at first, but all in all a short and solid game.

Lara Croft GO is a surprisingly delightful turn-based puzzle game that I ended up finishing in a single sitting. The mechanics are simple to grasp but grow increasingly clever — navigating around snakes and lizards, timing moves with collapsing floors, and hunting for hidden artifacts kept me genuinely engaged throughout. The art style is clean and the soundtrack is lovely, giving the whole thing a relaxing but focused atmosphere. My only real gripe is that the PC controls feel like an afterthought — dragging the mouse to move instead of just clicking is a bit awkward, and it's clear this started life as a mobile game. That said, the puzzle design more than makes up for it, and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a thoughtful, low-stakes puzzle experience.

В целом не плохая игра, учитывая то что она доступна для игры на телефоне. Интересно что некоторые уровни лично я сам не смог пройти без подсказки. Так же некоторые уровни довольно сложные, лично я без подсказки не смог их пройти. Разочаровало то, что в игре отсутствует как таковой сюжет, а уровни становятся скучнее и скучнее. Поэтому я не прошел эту игру до конца, просто удалив её.

Rien à dire de ce jeu, il est tranquille posé, sympa visuellement, assez facile à comprendre à certain passage (même si bon y a des moments j'y arrivais pas du tout lol) et il y a même un tuto pour nous aidez si on y arrive pas sur un level, c'est tout simplement génial !

No está mal si te gustan los rompecabezas que te obligan a pensar y al "prueba-error".
Empieza siendo fácil y va aumentando la dificultad a medida que avanzas en la historia.
Me han sobrado los dos últimos capítulos, que ya no formaban parte de la trama principal, por lo que los he completado mayoritariamente usando pistas para terminar deprisa.

괜찮은 퍼즐 게임
폰버전 기반인건지 마우스를 터치처럼 쓰는 조작은 좀 불편하다.
21:9 와이드 화면 지원안하는데 지원하는척하면서 전체화면시 위아래를 짤라먹는 바람에 초중반부 수집품을 상당부분 놓쳐버렸다.
첨부터 다시하자니 퍼즐겜이라 뭐 새로운것도 없어 귀찮아서 관뒀더니 좀 찜찜하다.
보너스 챕터는 좀 뇌절같은 느낌이라 지루하다.
그래도 전체적으로 아이디어와 구성이 좋은 편이니 한번쯤 해볼만한 게임이다.

I slept on this for a good while thinking it would be more stiff than it turned out to be.
It's turn based but there are no dice rolls and everything in the levels follows strict rules and starts in the same state upon every retry. If you screw up mid way through a level, you can get back to where you were very quickly to try something else.
Difficulty is also very well balanced. They have kept trial and error to a minimum and each level usually has several breakpoints, greatly relieving the compounding way some puzzle games play. Here you'll try a few things, figure out that of the 5-6 openers you could try only 2 will allow you to make progress, and carry those 2 partial solutions through to the next bit of the level.
By contrast, games like Railbound have very poor difficulty. Railbound is mechanically similar with an emphasis on timing and pathing, but where it messes up is in the mid-late game where it introduces huge numbers of variables for the player to juggle with, without giving the them any certainty that this or that section [b] must be [/b] correct.
It's refreshing to play such a well crafted game. Clearly being a Square Enix published game comes with some benefits such as having a professional level designer making tight, rewarding levels. Or maybe this particular dev struck lucky with one of their guys.
Whatever the reason for the polish, it really makes this game a goldie.
It's a neat puzzler. I didn't enjoy this one as much as Hitman Go, but it's not bad. I found that each area was different enough, which provided variety in gameplay. Beat this and the DLC.
Ein kleinen Rätselspaß àla Tomb Raider erwartet und wurde doch sehr positiv überrascht.
Lara wird bewegt wie eine animierte Schachfigur auf einem vorgebenden Feld geschmückt mit Rätseln, ihre Gegner (Schlange, Spinne, Warane) verhalten sich genau so statisch wie Sie.
Um Lara zum Ziel zu bringen muss man den Lösungsweg erstmal finden (was mit späteren Level schwieriger wird). Ich bin froh, dass es ein Unterstützungsmodus gibt, der dir den Weg vorschlägt/zeigt (erspart einiges an Grübbelzeit). Dieser sollte allerdings als Hilfestellung dienen, sonst wäre es ja so was wie Cheating. Ich selber habe den Modus viel zu spät entdeckt und somit beim zweiten Lauf benutzt um schnell noch die fehlende Vasen zu zerstören. Diese Vasen verstecken Sammelobjekte.
Was man an diesem Spiel kritisieren kann ist die Steuerung. Lara Croft Go wurde zuerst auf dem Mobile Markt (Android, iOS,...) veröffentlicht, deswegen steuert sich Lara per Drag and Drop nur mit der Maus. Tastatur gibt es nicht. Das spielen mit Controller macht es um einiges entspannter.
Im Sale ist dieses Spiel allein schon wegen Laras ikonischen Handstand zu empfehlen.

Pouce bleu direct car je me suis déjà plus amusé en 15 minutes sur Lara Croft GO qu'en 5 heures sur Hitman GO. L'interface claire, les animations et les objets à trouver donnent envie de continuer, et surtout de refaire les niveaux où on a manqué quelque chose (ce qui n'etait pas le cas dans Hitman).

very fun game. when it works. plays perfectly on steam deck with the deck controls, but when docked to a monitor with a PS5 controller, its a pretty buggy mess. the prompts to move pillars and throw spears just dont work 100% of the time. its really odd. havent tried on PC or with mouse and keyboard, but would highly recommend on deck in handheld mode, if you want a fun, casual puzle game with some really cool mechanics.

Lara Croft GO is small, light puzzler that was ported over from mobile devices. With super clean and minimalist art direction, puzzles were legible and the music/sound design was engrossing enough, but didn't quite induce the focused/meditative state I look for in puzzle games. It's short enough, and a great brain teaser, with just a few rules that evolve over the course of the games chapters, but even in its brevity the clumsiness of the controls were a hassle. Being entirely mouse driven, and having to mimic finger motions inherited from touch controls was a bit of a pain and a bit imprecise, which at first isn't too much of an issue, but in later puzzles where precise turn order matters, it can mean the difference between success and running an entire section over again. Besides that one mild frustration, the game is absolutely worth picking up. If hour to dollar ratios are something you worry about, I'd say wait for a sale. Recommended either way!

Um ótimo game de puzzle, e com a Lara. Vai se querer mais o quê?
On progresse à travers différents niveaux dont le but est de rejoindre la sortie en résolvant plein de petits puzzles. J’ai trouvé le jeu vraiment chouette. Les graphismes sont simples mais très efficaces. On retrouve aussi quelques références à la Lara Croft du tout premier opus, que ce soit dans les sons ou certaines animations. Les musiques sont également très bien et collent parfaitement à l'univers.
Les énigmes de l’histoire principale offrent une bonne dose de défi, tandis que les niveaux bonus sont parfois un peu trop complexes à mon goût, avec vraiment beaucoup d’actions à enchaîner dans les tous derniers puzzles. Heureusement, le menu « astuce » est très bien pensé et aide vraiment en cas de blocage. Le jeu introduit chaque nouvelle mécanique dans de petits niveaux simples avant d’augmenter progressivement la difficulté, ce qui rend l’expérience très agréable.

Lara Croft GO is actually a really solid puzzle game. I’ve never played a Tomb Raider game before, and from what I understand this isn’t representative of the main series anyway, so I’m judging it purely as a puzzle experience.
For under $2, I had a genuinely good time. The puzzles are fun, the set pieces are interesting, and it’s short, sweet, and easy to play casually without much mental overhead. I am not sure I'd recommend it at full price.
The biggest problem, though, is the controls. They’re atrocious on PC. The game is clearly designed for mobile and barely adapted at all — you still “swipe” to move, which leads to constant misinputs. Controller doesn’t really fix this either and still feels awkward.
Overall, it’s fine. I wouldn’t recommend it as anything special, but if you go in with the right expectations, it’s a short, enjoyable puzzle game that does its job.
And honestly? Still better than Mega Man 7.

Was a enjoyable experience playing through Lara Croft Go different but fun when I was able to get the controller working lately unable to do so.

Lara Croft Go é um jogo de puzzle 'em turnos'. Você deve pensar bem antes de cada movimento. Tudo é muito claro e intuitivo. Os puzzles são muito bem arquitetados. Em nenhum momento senti que os puzzles estavam sendo repetidos.
Os gráficos isométricos e a tématica da Lara Croft ficaram muito bonitos! As animações também são boas.
Os níveis finais são um ótimo desafio!
Um jogo redondinho, entrega com perfeição no que se propõe. Se tirar algo vai fazer falta, se adicionar vai sobrar.

Un jeu de réflexion relaxant dans son ambiance globale qui est fidèle à l'univers de Tomb Raider.
La difficulté croissante demandera néanmoins de se creuser les méninges dans les derniers niveaux.
Les succès peuvent se faire aisément en une partie.
C'est le premier jeu de la série "Go" que je testais et j'ai hâte de découvrir les autres !

For a dollar or two it's decent puzzle game. The first few chapters really challenged me at times, and it actually felt satisfying whenever I was able to solve one of them. Then at times I would get annoyed for doing a misinput, or messing up one single movement and having to restart the entire level.
This game is from mobile and you can definitely see the faults in it because of that (controls, quickness of the game) It's almost feels like I need to go fast like I'm on the GO, but every little moment I mess up, it sets me back so much.
Have to admit after the first 5 main chapters into the epilogue I sort of gave up on the amount of backtracking you had to do to avoid enemies (thank god for the hints).
Regardless, it's still a pretty unique game that challenges your brain for the most part.
Стильна покрокова головоломка у світі Tomb Raider. Вона виглядає мінімалістично, але дуже елегантно, а рівні поступово ускладнюються й змушують продумувати кожен хід. Атмосфера пригоди відчувається навіть у такому спокійному форматі, що робить гру особливою.

Si te encantan los puzzles esta muy bien y los 2 últimos niveles que agregados tienen un poco mas de dificultad. Eso si si quieres disfrutar de cada acertijo o nivel tendrás que abstenerte de usar las pistas sino se hace muy fácil aunque igual el juego no es tan complicado, tiene una dificultad moderada para que puedas completarlo todo.

[b]Геймплей:[/b] Гра складається з семи частин, кожна має приблизно 10 рівнів. На кожному рівні присутні декілька пазлів-головоломок, що потрібно вирішити аби пройти рівень. З часом на рівнях додається щось нове (як-от, нові вороги або важілі/плити), а складність збільшується. Також на кожному рівні присутньо декілька ваз, що приховані на мапі. Якщо зібрати всі, можна відкрити нові костюми для Лари. Тільки не знаю в чому сенс отримувати новий костюм в кінці гри, якщо ти вже пройшов гру.
В цілому, рівні цікаві. Не занадто легкі, та не занадто складні. На деякі я можливо витратив хвилин 30 аби вирішити.
[b]Графіка:[/b] Так як гра також доступна на/зроблена для телефонів, цей low-poly стиль виглядає дуже приємно і підходить під стиль гри. Рівні деталізовані, але деталі не відволікають від інтерактивних речей на рівні.
[b]Звук:[/b] Звук та музика в грі чудові. Музика спокійна, не тисне своєю присутністю та розбавляє тишу в грі. Щодо звуків - нічого унікального, але окремий лайк за олдскульний звук артефакту, коли знаходиш вазу.

Un jeu d'une complexité démesurée, ce qui gâche la qualité de celui-ci. Hitman Go était mieux, même si je ne suis pas fan de ce mode de jeu.

Gran juego para una tarde de domingo lluviosa. Puzzles que van subiendo en dificultad de manera progresiva y coherente, sin nunca dejar de ser divertido.
Update: I saw others lamenting the lack of keyboard support, but I only played this on Steam Deck. I imagine it plays well with a controller, however execution is never an issue as the game is entirely turn-based, if you only have M&K available.
Really polished turn-based puzzle game! I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Love all the unlockable outfits. Really appreciated the shorter length (you can unlock everything on a single run through the game if you take the time to look for the collectables, and even if you don't, each level can be replayed easily to find the few you missed). The low-poly aesthetic of the game is well utilized. What occurs when you step on a button is made incredibly clear just by the use of color and positioning of objects alone. No tutorial pop-ups or dialogue to explain, but each new feature is cleverly demonstrated first so there are no upsetting surprises. I played this while watching the new Tomb Raider animated series and it was a real cozy experience. Outsmarting/outmaneuvering enemies and using them to solve puzzles really fits the spirit of Lara Croft! It even includes a handy hint feature so you are never stuck for too long, or left searching online guides, as you can disable it the moment you realize the solution it is heading towards.
If I had to be critical of anything, I understand they wanted the soundtrack to be something simple and not all that distracting, but I would've appreciated something a bit more "present" and not just ambiance (however this does make it the perfect game to just have on in the background). Additionally, the feature by which you find collectables has zero implications outside of hidden objects. It would have been cool to see that feature be something that interacts with the puzzles as well (maybe something akin to Tunic, hiding even more unlockables behind interactive background elements). The puzzle reset feature is just a tad bit slow.

This is a 'simple design' turn based game which has a gradual learning curve and increasing difficulty as you pass level after level. The search for rubies and parts of artefacts adds interest to the game as you look for that elusive gold bit to complete each artefact.
Nice looking game with some challenging puzzles. Turn based puzzle game with NO quick reaction style challenges. Some challenging puzzles that take some time to solve and I find replays relaxing.
Nice little puzzle game that you can complete in around 4 to 6 hours, however despite how complex the later chapters get there is so little substance here that unless you are a diehard puzzle game or tomb raider fan, I would recommend that you wait until it goes on sale, but other than that its a good game.
Gutes rundenbasiertes puzzlegame was zum Ende hin für manch einen sehr schwer werden kann und ggf. auch frustrierend. Abhilfe kann aber ein integriertes optionales Hilfesystem schaffen, wer Achievementjäger ist! Also gute Sache.
Flüssige Animationen, entspannter soundtrack. Es hat Spaß gemacht zu spielen.
