Played it till the end, it's very "RPG Maker". Some of the mechanics and level layouts are a bit confusing and the story is almost incomprehensible without some serious old English reading comprehension and even then its very nebulous, that's definitely the intention though. Anyways it's overall a pretty good time and a good waste of around 3 hours if you're into surrealism and RPGs.

This game sure does stand out for the uniqueness, especially the art style. All of those claymation and unique skill animation really make this game awesome. Story wise, i dont think its stand out (idk maybe im just too dumb to get it). And i really love the music and sfx here. I love this game

Hylics это действительно своего рода шедевр своего времени - он абсурдный, он странный, и поэтому он идеален в своей неидеальности. За гроши в 45 рублей по скидке можно отлично отдохнуть, в этом плане Hylics после прохождения ощущается будто ты съездил на море со своими лучшими друзьями и просто отдохнул от всех чужих надежд и ожиданий.
Здесь самая чилловая музыка и стильная окружающая атмосфера, что я видел, даже в Neverhood не так спокойно, как здесь. Игра лёгкая как 2 желе, головоломки наилегчайшие, боёвка самая стандратная, управление тоже, и пройти её можно при желании за 1 день в размеренном темпе.
Если у вас игровой аутизм/инфантилизм, и вы больше ничего не чувствуете от прохождения игр, это может вас успокоить и принять суть вещей, даже без единого смысла, без сложных механик, просто исследуя маленькие островки, стражаясь с абстрактными сущностями и общаясь абстрактными фразами.

I would under less oblivious circumstances, describe this segment of turing data as being quite palatable in the mouth of the minds eye. It would indeed go well with foam cups, indeed wouldn't it not be a slug in the shiny vice of the contiuum of nearly half of the fine arts of pencil sharping soon to be obsolete by a decreased need for absolute certainty. Those who choose to disagree in the need to express use cases based on absolute desolvement of projected humanistic constructs may be off put by the surreal nature of Hylic, though those who realize the absurdity of being able to have memories of forgetting things will recall a time they remember something they no longer do. Oh yes, money. We collectively choose its value yet most of us quite dont like what it is set at. Roach food prices these days. How are we going to ranch our roaches in this economy? At least Hylic respects the constructed nature of monetary value by daring to be made out of clay.

Wonderfully bizarre. Took a second to get into the game, but the high strangeness sucked me in. I love the art, the music and even the story (if you can call it that). If you are looking for something unique, this is the one.

jogo muito bom!!, mecânica de combate muito divertida, visual bonito da porra, a história bem confusa mais achei interessante e curiosa tendo os seus momentos engraçadinhos, a única coisa qu ficou faltando foi a legenda Pt-Br, mas ainda sim recomento.
tal radiancia como forma de vida, as luzes de minha visão se contraem conforme eu erradicava tal experiencia, tudo e todos, tal como a grande historia...tenha-se esse quadro em sua caixa de experiencias, adequo a ele um positivo como forma de apreciação.

Kinda shares the psychedelic aesthetics of early internet-era indie games like popcap games and such. Strange and alienating, reminds me of the very first time i played computer games and how i couldnt even read English.
I like exploding my enemies to dust and atoms with dynamite :)
I would say that this is a very solid game, but it would appear that most surfaces I come in contact with decide to collapse...

While RPG Maker games tend to get unpleasant looks, Hylics is one of those exceptions.
This game is beautifully made. The artstyle creates such a unique and distinct look which simply captivates you. The soundtrack emphasizes on the vibe of the game, which creates an odd, yet relaxing feeling. To this day, I still listen to the soundtrack of this game. The game takes only a few hours, the story is simple yet not boring and the world is crafted so well.
If you like RPG games and you've got a few bucks to spare, I highly recommend this game.
This game is incredible. The art is mezmerizing, the music is so good, it's humourous and makes you feel. I don't know what I feel, really, but i definitely feel something. I think I will think about this game for a long time. Just amazing. It's a few bucks, and doesn't take long to complete, just play it, why not?

Easily one of the best RPGM games, it has such a unique and strangely comforting atmosphere and artstyle, which is greatly supported by the soundtrack. Pretty short, pretty cheap, absolutely worth the experience.

Hylics é um daqueles jogos que simplesmente não se parecem com mais nada, e é exatamente isso que o torna tão incrível. O jogo é extremamente ligado ao surrealismo e ao abstracionismo, o estilo de arte é unico, e as frases com padrões aleatórios te ajudam a emergir nessa experiencia psicodélica. A trilha sonora eletrônica combina perfeitamente com essa atmosfera bizarra e hipnótica. A jogabilidade estilo RPG é simples, mas desafiadora em alguns momentos. Não joguei mais de uma vez e provavelmente não vou, o jogo (apesar de n ser linear) n inova tanto em gameplays futuras, e ao final da história, n tem mais conteúdo a ser explorado. Mas em compensação, torna a experiência de jogar a primeira vez única e inesquecível

Hylics is a game like nothing I have ever played, and I worry it has awoken in me something I cannot explain and will never truly find again. A feeling; indescribable like the game itself.
You play as Wayne, the sun or a demigod or just a guy, as you set out on an adventure to defeat Gibby, The Moon King. Along the way you meet friends, defeat creatures beyond description, gather tokens from the Sages of Death, Brains and Computers. You travel to other dimensions, eat vegetables, and cast spells as objects squish like clay under your touch. The land is empty but for lone, liminal structures where the inhabitants speak only in random, jumbled words.
The art style is incredible, full of Claymation, neon colours and warped perspectives. They combine to build something between an alien world and a Salvador Dalí painting where the atmosphere is thick enough to taste. The opaque dialogue lets you project your own story and find meaning in the meaninglessness of everything. All of this is overlaid on a competent RPG with satisfying combat and plenty of secrets to discover.
I cannot recommend Hylics highly enough. It’s an experience everyone deserves to enjoy.
