I didn't really have any issues with the game. I really liked the art, combat, bosses, etc. I do think that collecting all the bugs (collectables) shouldn't be necessary to get all the rewards, maybe a buffer of 1 or two would suffice without forcing the player to unnecessarily backtrack through the entire map just to find the one missing bug. I had to refer to an guide and it still took me an half an hour to an hour to find the last missing piece.

TL;DR It's pretty good, except finding the last bug/collectable. 9/10

Visual, ambientação e trilha sonora são bem legais, parecem simples, mas funcionam perfeitamente. No entanto, o combate é limitado em vários momentos, e a maior dificuldade do jogo não vem dos inimigos, mas dos poços onde você cai e morre instantaneamente. Isso é um design péssimo, pois não recompensa o jogador por lutar bem e nem destaca as mecanicas dos chefes, apenas pune o player severamente por confundir uma borda ou posicionar o personagem um pixel além no mapa.

having played the momodora series release order has been a delight, just seeing the series evolve and become more of it's own thing and when you play momodora 1 you can see it's influences and as a proof of concept and Momodora 2 is another tyhpe of proof of concept andf making the game more polished, Momodora 3 feels like a more completed polished version of 1 with stuff from 2 and nwow withe RUtM it feels like a fully realised version of momodora 2 you can see when this game first released that the term metroidvania was still in it's infancy b ut you still see that this game was part of that semi-new genre emerging with really good pixel graphics,tight difficulty and a simplistic story that compliments the experience playing this game. game has replay value so you can deff play this a fair amount!

I wouldn't recommend buying "Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight" at full price.

The game is way too short to justify it's full price.
"Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight" doesn't stand out from other games in any way besides design choices. The story is lackluster, the combat is simple, and tbe characters are static.
Nonetheless, I would recommend buying the game at a low discounted price, as it still delivers a solid, short and satisfying gaming experience.
The game didn't exactly get a grip of me, but I just can't give it a negative review.

Momodora não é um jogo perfeito, pelo contrario, as animações de alguns ataques (principalmente de boss) as vezes são inexistente ou com poucos efeitos, criando um ar de "Eu nem vi de onde vinha", a maioria dos monstros tem apenas 1 único ataque (Exceto os bosses) o que cria uma gameplay muito previsível, apesar de ter uma quantidade relativamente boa de inimigos e por ultimo sua dificuldade não é nada impressionante como dizem, eu joguei acreditando que seria dificil pq falaram que era o mais dificil da saga, mas com exceção da dificuldade "insano" a "dificil" é relativamente balanceado e o resto é ridiculamente facil.

Apesar disso tudo Momodora é diferente, ver toda a evolução que teve desde eo primeiro que era ridiculamente impossível foi algo incrível.
Momodora tem uma ambientação linda e musica simplesmente maravilhosa e os bosses são muito criativos.
Apesar de tudo, nada disso é o que faz eu gostar ou não desse jogo. O que de verdade trás esse 5 estrelas é a minha experiência altamente nostalgica com o jogo, pq jogar Momodora é como jogar metroidvanias antigos como Castlevania e até mesmo um pouco de Mega Man em seu combate. Jogar isso por 16 horas em apenas 3 dias foi uma experiência perfeita, em nenhum momento eu queria parar, em nenhum momento me senti entediado e além disso tudo eu me via apreciando essa obra de arte.

Sim, esse jogo é repleto de coisas que poderiam serem melhores, mas a minhas nota é 5 estrelas por motivos pessoais de pura nostalgia.
Dito isso Momodora Reverie Under the Moonlight é um jogo maravilhoso e que eu pretendo jogar o proximo tbm.

美术有多可爱，游玩体验就有多糟糕。游戏的像素美术相当出色，无论是场景还是角色都堪称精美。但再精致的美术也无法掩盖体验的糟糕，类银死亡回档配上一碰即死陷阱再配上不算多的存档点，再加上诸如部分陷阱由于视野几乎或者完全看不见等等逆天地图设计，简直堪称类银设计反面教科书。即使受限于时代，但不少糟糕设计也不应该出现。

* 像素场景非常精致，还有不少动态变化。像素风有这种动态难能可贵。

* 由于玩家受击位移的存在，小怪和陷阱搭配的关卡体验更加糟糕。

逆天类银回档+超绝一碰就直接暴毙的陷阱+稀少的存档点=纯粹的享受。小心翼翼推图推半天，一个不小心踩到陷阱就就直接回档。甚至从一个完全看不到下面的平台落下时下面还有陷阱，这种纯粹地图设计失误还要惩罚到玩家，我接受不了。

操控与战斗手感不错，boss设计简单，挑战主要在于跑图。虽然地图设计也比较保守，但是我永远都不会原谅初见杀，即死尖刺陷阱和被坑365里路的存档，打完boss结果掉进陷阱得重打真的感觉独一份了。通关后还是和解了，毕竟像素美术和配乐还是优秀的，没啥大短板，整体风格连敌人也很萌，可惜没有更丰富的剧情，还是感觉连个结局动画都没太草率了。
话说这其实是我初中就刷到页面想玩的游戏之一。另一个印象深刻的还是the last night……

I love this game. The gameplay is great, and the art and soundtrack are amazing too. The game has a dark vibe I absolutely love and the story is told is told in a way where you realize the state of the game's world at the same time you try to save it. The difficulty can be sometimes hard, but this game offers a great replayability too if you are hunting its successes. The story is very touching and if you are hesitant about playing this game, do it, I promise you won't regret it.

Lo jugué en la ASUS ROG Ally con control de Xbox, tanto en modo portátil como con monitor, y corre perfecto incluso desde 10W. Todo se siente muy fluido, las animaciones responden bien y el combate es preciso, que en este tipo de juegos es clave.

El juego me gustó bastante. Es un metroidvania con un mapa interesante de explorar, enemigos bien colocados y un ritmo bastante agradable. Las animaciones están muy bien hechas, tienen ese estilo pixel art que se siente vivo y detallado. Eso sí, no lo jueguen en modo fácil, porque se vuelve demasiado simple y pierde toda la gracia. En modo normal se siente mucho más equilibrado y entretenido.

Explorar, encontrar secretos y mejorar el personaje es parte del encanto, y aunque no es el metroidvania más largo del mundo, sí es de esos que se disfrutan de principio a fin.

Hay enemigos que parecen tiernos… hasta que te quitan media barra de vida y te recuerdan que esto sigue siendo un metroidvania.

Si te gustan los juegos de exploración con combate ágil y pixel art bonito, vale mucho la pena.

TLDR: the game is GREAT for a harder 2D platformer, with a crappy save point system.
welp, if you like sweaty platforms and near perfection runs with brutal SAVE POINTS. This IS YOUR GAME! the screenshots hooked everyone in but, I'm pissed about the souls like save system. I don't wanna kill 7 enemies over and over again to get over to a mini boss and use up 2 of 3 potions to then have a the next surprise enemy give me a cheap shot. there's my last potion and I'm gonna die just before the next checkpoint. again near perfect runs for each checkpoint. many of you love this. I don't want to memorize a game. I want to play the game, react to the enemies.

O jogo em seu contexto geral é muito bom e vale demais a pena (se comprado em promoção).

Como destaques, a pixel art do jogo é muito bonita, as músicas e sons são muito bem feitos, o combate é equilibrado, as lutas contra os chefes são bem elaboradas e a história do jogo quando feita até o final é bem bacana.

Como ponto fraco, o estilo da gameplay é um pouco antigo não permitindo adicionar marcações ao mapa para voltar posteriormente, e o fato de que ao morrer sem que tenha chego à um trecho de save, todo aquele avanço se torna perdido.

De modo geral, é um jogo que compensa dar uma chance!

Ты — жрица с косичками, которая ходит по мрачному лесу и бьёт мотыльков мечом. Всё тихо, всё медленно, всё — под луной, которая смотрит на тебя, как мама на неудачника.
Геймплей? Прыгай, уклоняйся, умирай, повторяй. Боссы — это когда ты думаешь "я уже всё понял", а потом тебя размазывают за три секунды.
Графика — пиксельный шедевр: каждый пиксель плачет кровью. Саундтрек — как будто кто-то играет на пианино в заброшенном храме.
Минус: если ты не любишь умирать — не бери.
Плюс: когда ты наконец проходишь — это как если бы ты обнял свою грусть и сказал "ладно, мы квиты".Вердикт: 9/10. Запусти ночью, без наушников — и почувствуй, как мир становится тише.

游戏的最大问题在于极其严重的死亡惩罚：死亡回档，之前探索过的地图收集过的物品全都不作数。我认为这种机制放在类魂类银游戏里太过折磨，集齐耗费时间。地图设计中规中矩，怪物和boss设计也是中规中矩，难度主要集中在跑图上，如果没有死亡回档那就是一款勉强能玩的游戏，加上这机制只能给个不推荐了。

Из плюсов:
Красивый пиксельный стиль, анимации;
Запоминающиеся враги и боссы;
Неплохой сюжет.
Минусы:
Карта недостаточно информативна (не отображаются ключевые точки);
Секреты сложно найти, а навигация порой вызывает вопросы.

Jocul este unul bun.Un metroidvania scurt, dar bun in care nu pierzi timp incercand sa iti dai seama unde ar trebuii sa mergi mai departe.

Singura problema pe care am avut-o a fost cu controalele de pe tastatura care mi-au dat ceva batai de cap incercand sa le schimb pentru a fi mai intuitive, posibil sa ai o experienta mai buna cu un controller.

Nu am sa dau spoilere din poveste, doar am sa zic ca nu sunt un mare fan cand o poveste se termina in felul in care s-a terminat la acest joc.

Cu toate acestea il recomand si pot spune ca merita jiucat. E o experienta distractiva, cu fete anime cu piept mare si pisici mici. Combatul din joc a fost foarte bun, cu o balanta buna intre atacurile de la distanta si cele din apropiere.

Very simple and short Metroidvania.

Graphics were fine but the music was outstanding!
Just a few upgrades, few enemy types, few different areas. But turning into something else in the middle
of the game was a nice addition I did not see coming.

Get this game on sale only. Because of the length it really restricts the amount of fun you get out of this one. Still recommended!

Honestly a gem of a metroidvania. It's just good simple fun but if you like pulling your hair out over the difficulty then this probably isn't it. It's fairly short but I managed to 100% the game in 13 hours which was just enough time to still enjoy the game without it turning into a grind.

Este es mi primer metroidvania y me dejó con una muy buena experiencia, las mecánicas son sencillas y desarrollé versatilidad muy rápido.

Al pixel art y animaciones le doy un 6.5, en algunas zonas flojea y en otras es muy bonito y me hizo gracia que todo el presupuesto se lo dieron a la bruja y no a otros jefes que son más importantes jaja.

El juego tiene buena música, el backtracking es tolerable y no abusa de las paredes ocultas.

Finished the game with a majority (95%+) complete in around 4 hours. Overall a very pleasant game with good bosses, level design, and story. The metroidvania aspect isn't really present as there isn't reason to go back to places you've already explored unless you have an item to make you fit in small spaces. You only need to backtrack for a necessary item once, honestly not an issue at all just wanted to touch on the "metroidvania" aspect of this game. I have a few qualms like spikes being insta-kills, what enemies are contact damage and what aren't, and some funky contact damage for weapons(?) but nothing that broke my experience.

Overall a great short experience and I am looking at maybe getting into the other games in this series.

Edit: I forgot to mention but the pixel art is great, the animation is great, everything is very pleasant to look at. Actually playing is smooth, i wish the jumping was a bit more tolerant when reaching certain heights but still its fine.

Momodora is a fantastic game that I wasn't able to launch for ten whole years. It's not the greatest thing ever made, but for me I truly think the wait was actually worth not being able to play it until now.
The way the game doesn't hold your hand but still guides you to improve at your failures is very welcome in today's age of walking players through EVERYTHING.
If you're hitting your head too much in one spot, the game just lets you explore another area instead. There was only one instance in the game I can recall where you need to backtrack to obtain something, which is required for the true ending. Otherwise, the game just lets you play how you choose to. The soundtrack is pleasant to listen to, the visuals are nothing groundbreaking even for pixelart but still great to see. I was also never at a point where I felt frustrated and thought I couldn't overcome what was in my way. The game gives you the tools to improve right from the start of the game and many things to discover as well.
All things considered I could not recommend this game any more if you're a fan of 2D action adventure platforming games. It's a 9/10 any day out of the week if you're capable of wanting to be better at games you play.

Being the fourth installment of the series, it did not disappoint. The combat is simple, but offers you a few different approaches of play. This is further diversified by the feature that rewards you with *mostly* unique items for perfecting an encounter with a boss. The art direction and sound design have been further refined since the previous titles in this series, making for a wonderful atmosphere. The story to this game is not obvious and is mostly told environmentally; so don't be fooled into thinking it doesn't exist. If you have not played the earlier installments, I recommend you check them out before playing this one if you would like to have an easier time following the narrative. The game is not long, but it is a charming experience. However, if you're not one to leave a stone unturned, you could easily extract another ~9 hours of entertainment. For a full price of $9.99, this game holds its value well. Overall, I would certainly recommend this game to anyone who already enjoys the genre, or is interested in getting started.

Extremely bad, not as a game (I cant play it to find out), just as an application.

It doesn't support my ps4 controller (even in xbox mode).

Main menu and its keyboard controls is a final boss that greets you before the game itself. It almost become the first game ever I can't progress further than main menu.

But then if you alt+tab or try to change controller or simply sneeze somewhere in the vicinity - the game will just close itself.
No errors or possible explanation, no progress saved, all as it was supposed to be I guess.

My first and last game from this developer/publisher.

This is lovely! Cute, well written, fun, and great challenge even on normal difficulty. Got the true ending. Yea it's a little sad but also makes sense, and I appreciate that brutality instead of sugar-coating some sort of happy ending. Some movements are a bit sticky at first but once you get used to it it's amazing.

操作不难，打击感也不错，地图设计中规中矩，音乐和像素风格加分，但是即死陷阱+引导几乎没有，最主要死亡回档有点复古过头了，加上存档点不好找，经常会出现跑得太远结果不小心踩到刺直接回档到十几分钟前的情况，有种梦回FC生命掉完了直接game over从头来过强行拖游戏时长的感觉，如果能玩下去应该是个不错的游戏，但我实在是赤不下去了，有时间再回来试试吧。

I'd rate it game jam quality with some nice additions, but I didn't finish it because I have many more metroidvania games that just do everything better.
