The gameplay was just as easy I remember, no glitches, and was so much fun!
I will admit there was a moment that I couldn't figure out and it was only because I was over thinking it. My niece and I enjoyed it so much and I am happy I got to create memories with her through this. On to more!!!

The Western Ocean!

Freddi Fish and Luther are a great dynamic duo that benefit the story greatly. Animations, Artstyle, Gameplay all are very well done while having a detective style story which is myterious at first and requires a little brain work to solve that keeps it interesting and engaging.

More puzzles that were fun to solve, more items to collect, more things to interact with and more fantastic cutscenes. It's an outstanding game that improves on Freddi 1 - 3 .

Soundtrack being western themed was catchy and nice to listen to.

Seeing both characters eventually wear a cowboy hat is all you need and a very stylish conclusion.

This is by far the DARKEST and most TRAGIC story I have ever witnessed in any media, ever.

Betrayal, intrigue, ex-cons with checkered pasts, this game has a deep, rich, and complicated story that sets it aside from all other mystery games. Every character has ulterior motives, and you never know who is going to betray you next. The way the game manages to capture the essence of pure existential horror, helplessness, and dark gritty intrigue is nothing short of masterful. I have cried several times playing this sadistic game, and witnessing the characters perform such intense acts of unimaginable brutality is both poetic, disturbing, and beautiful.

The art style is some of the best I've seen and the graphics make you wonder if you're really playing a game. Most modern games cannot compare to how realistic the atmosphere looks, that's just how good it is. The gruesome environments you enter really make you feel immersed in what the Freddy Fish series has always been about:

PURE HORROR.

Don't get this game for your kids, they will die of shock. I am an almost 30-year old man and I still have nightmares about the events of this game. I literally wake up peeing the bed and screaming from all the sheer violence, brutality, cruelty, and horror that this game has.

Probably 2nd best Freddi Fish game in the series(which is good, showing that they kept improving the series little by little). The OST is especially good in this game, and while I wish the wild west town was bigger then two buildings, they still made environments overall give off western feel, in their own unique way.

Just like in 3rd game, they yet again improved the gameplay by making it slightly more difficult, now all 3 items require multiple steps to complete to get, in order to reach final area, The music that sombrero plant gives before you meet Freddi cousin is especially excellent, theres like 7-8 songs there. Althought I did felt let down by slightly less items to click on, and the mini game being extremely meh.

But this is just nitpicks, I highly recommend playing the 4th game in the series if you enjoyed the 3rd one :D

I used to play this game when I was younger and I decided to play it since it was on sale here in steam. It was a really fun experience! Obviously, though, it is made for kids, so everything was a little bit simpler due to matching the level of a kid. Otherwise, it was fun getting that nostalgia factor from the game, and the story was a decent one, too. It took me exactly 2 hours to finish this game in one sitting with breaks in between, and I think it was definitely worth it!

My suggestion is to buy this game when there is a sale just to save yourself some money because I can't imagine someone playing this game all the time. This is definitely a once in a blue-moon game to play for nostalgic reasons unless you're a 5 year old playing this game. That makes more sense as to why there would be a lot of time spent on this game lol.

Seeing all the Humongous Entertainment games on Steam makes me feel a lot of nostalgia. But what makes it truly special is finally sharing the games I loved with my son. Веселый и забавный квест, с кучей прикольных отсылок на кинематограф. Немного юмора и достаточно легких загадок. Все довольно логично и решается на ура, для меня в игре не было ни единого места, где бы я запуталась или имела желание открыть какой-нибудь гайд (да и вряд ли он бы помог, ведь каждый раз все в игре абсолютно рандомное). Квест спокойно проходится за один заход и этим она мне понравилась еще больше, ибо ну зачем такую игру растягивать.

It's an okay Freddi Fish game for me. I don't know if a young child would enjoy the audio errors along with the characters' mouths not moving when the game Or find it hilarious that a game from almost thirty years ago has bugs/faults that the devs never bothered to fix.

It's somewhat better than three but I blame my nostalgia on preferring the third game. The misdirection on who the villain was was what I wanted in the previous game. But does it do anything interesting with it, no. The selected villain for each playthrough relies on the player's memory to pay attention to what's happening in the plot. You'll have to write it down if you forgot it even though the game should have done this for you. At least the third and the fourth game have a debug menu so that you can pick your villain for each playthrough instead of playing over and again. Either way, there's still some replay value in this game.

Would I suggest to get this game if you wanted to play it? No, but it's better than the first two games and the fifth game. Sadly, as much as I would suggest that you get the third game over that would be me ignoring the faults in both games. They're okay games but could have been better if designed today. Still playable and great for their target audience if you ignore the 90's game design of that era.

Одна из лучших частей про Фредди, а также первая в которую я сыграл в своём детстве. Как по мне, самая интересная и насыщенная. Разработчики смогли передать сеттинг дикого запада под водой, что очень круто. Все события рандомятся, потому можно проходить снова и снова.

В своё время купил диск с этой игрой и остался очень доволен.

Of the Humongous entertainment games aimed at children, the Freddi Fish ones stand out. Replay-ability is increased by some randomised elements which shake-up each play-through. Characters bursting out into song all the time is endearing. Mini-games can be fun. Like all the Humongous games, these are best played with a kiddo.

Normally I would usually run these games by my niece and write a review, but this time i'm writing the review prior to doing that. After playing all of the games on the Freddi Fish series on Steam, I think I can safely say this is the worst title. I don't know what the developers were doing when they made this game, but it really feels like they didn't put a whole lot of love into making this title.

This game specifically feels very much in line with the first two Freddi Fish games - in the sort of bland and uninspired aspects. You have a new roster of characters different from the previous games that are voice acted well enough, but none are really all that entertaining or memorable. Several of them give off clues that they might be involved with the mystery at hand; giving off a vibe that there is something seriously wrong with this community as opposed to everyone being more or less upstanding.

The game gives a nod to the third game in that there is a lot of void and empty space where the game just feels like it should of had something here; likely for a different path of objectives if you played the game again. At the end you do the 'find the culprit' bit like you did in the third game too, but that is sort of meh and because of how the clues are jumbled it is hard for a kid to miss I bet.

And then there are the animations - easiest the worst thing on offer here. Getting to the end it seems like the animations freeze when you get to the accusatory bit. There are also a lot of sections where fishes will just sort of just sit in the frame not using their fins or simulating anything about them being in the water.

I will note though that one thing that seals the deal in me abhorring it though is a section with a trash shark that goes about eating everything. I mostly mention it because Freddi Fish seems to have some really bad perceptions regarding dogs and I would not be too keen on my niece thinking that feeding random things to a dog is okay.

Overall I didn't enjoy playing this title. Maybe my niece might - if I get around to showing her the game. I'm not hopeful for it though.

Freddi Fish 4: The Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch is an ancient family friendly 1999/DOS era point and click adventure game running on Steam thanks to the ScummVM engine. Gameplay involves Maniac Mansion/Monkey Island style point and click adventuring combined with a few minigames and "activities" intended to keep young children occupied.

This game is over 20 years old, it's ancient. 4:3, fixed resolution (looks like VGA). Weirdly, the devs have patched it from time to time, but this is really like putting lipstick on the skeleton of a pig that died long ago. I know that's not all that nice to say, but these guys are charging a whopping $7 USD for this, when you can play free games for kids, with much higher quality, in browsers or mobile, so how could anyone consider paying for this?

This is just some attempt to cash in on some old abandoned kids game. It's really not cool.

Freddi Fish 4: The Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch is the fourth named Freddi Fish game in the series. This time Freddi and the green one is going to Briny Gulch to help Freddi's cousin, Calico, on her hogfish ranch. Unfortunately, when they get there, her hogfish were rustled by some rustlers. So naturally it's up to two small children to change the rustlers, cause the sheriff is wallowing in self pitty under a 10 gallon hat cause he has no star to tell him he's a sheriff. So drunk me had an ok time untill the very end where the final puzzle someone in my chat had to point out the very obvious answer. Also apparently, drunk me wanted toffee peanuts.... anyway the leader of the rustlers is just has stupid like yea your business is going over, your making belt buckles for fish....... fish don't need those they're fish! Honestly I can't tell if drunk me like this game, or the peanuts he was eating...

사촌의 돼지물고기를 납치(?)한 범인을 찾아야하는 프레디의 이야기.
서부식 스테이지와 적절하고 섬세한 오브젝트의 움직임이 매력입니다.
맵이 꽤 넓은 편이라 초반에 약간 헤매는 것과 막히는 부분이 아주 쪼금 있습니다
(해파리 부분.. 타이밍 맞춰서 클릭하면 되더라구요. 아이템은 필요없었습니다)
판마다 준비해야하는 것과 범인이 바뀌기 때문에 판 마다 약간 새로운 기분으로 게임을 즐길 수 있습니다.
게임 시네마틱 내에 약간의 범인 힌트가 주어지기 때문에 시네마틱은 좀 답답하더라도 쪼금 봐야합니다.

보라자동차 풋풋에 이은 추억의 게임이예요. 추천드립니다.

Freddi Fish è un gioco carino, un punta e clicca molto semplice adatto ai più piccoli ma godibile anche dagli adulti. E' invecchiato male ma gli sketch sono sempre divertenti. Ricordo che molti anni fa regalavano il cd-rom di questo gioco comprando una confezione di cereali o di pastine al supermercato. Non appena l'ho visto su Steam mi sono tornati in mente vecchi ricordi e ho pensato che sarebbe stato divertente rigiocarlo nonostante io non sia più una bambina. Consigliato a chi vuole rivivere i feels!

This one isn't as good as the others in the series, but it's by no means bad. Except for Cousin Calico, none of the side characters are particularly interesting, and the map in so big that a lot of the game's ~70 minute playtime is just backtracking to different parts of the map. Still, the hogfish are cute, and the game is still reasonably fun.

This was a grate game growing up, it has not held up well to the graphics of today's games. I know it would be a good game for someone looking to introduce their small human into video games!

This was the first game in the series that I got to play as a kid. It was one that we had gotten as a disk, and was a game we played in our old Dell desktop that ran, if I remember correctly, Windows XP. I never actually got to finish the game though. I got about as far as getting to the Cow Hustler's hideout before I couldn't figure out how to get past it. However, even with that roadblock, this was a game that I absolutely stayed up late at night for (and sometimes even woke up in the middle of the night to play).

It was such a joy to find this game on here and get the chance to play it as an adult, and to actually be able to see the ending since I never finished it. 10/10 would recommend playing
