Very jank. Impressive map builder. Only not recommended because the second one looks like a significant improvement over this silly simulator. This one should just be free at this point. Lack of multiplayer is also a negative.

It's not a great game, it's not even that good game, but I would say it's good enough - simple shooter, a bit of fun for a while.

there is a nice level of detail on the guns, whether the dev did that or they were assets either way they look cool and the drum mag rotating on the lewis is literal triple a quality... the character models on the other hand aha. technical wise this gmae is sort of a mess, it almost always crashes when loading back to the main menu which is annoying when trying to stream this to friends / having to lower the volume every time cuz it resets itself, the game just runs abhorrent on anything but the lowest settings, and theres a few holes on some levels the player can fall into and just cant get back out of but overall there is a nice level of historical awareness present in the levels, being in the tanks is pretty good and i think this is well worth 4 dollars
i would say the survival mode is absolute hell, tying achievements to beating it is really evil because it makes me really want to do that but CHARACTERS DONT MAKE FOOTSTEP SOUNDS and sometimes they will just run up behind you and one tap you to death and spawning tanks in is literally physcotic especially when sometimes the dumb ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bird doesnt drop you a rocket launcher and sometimes a german with a rocket launcher just doesnt spawn i really dont think survival is beatable at all unless you use cheat engine or something to have god mode
thankyou for a timeless classic, and if you're interested in the second game I think this is worth checking out as it makes easy red 2 look like a stunning masterpiece by comparison
Awesome indie game that provides multiple viewpoints from the Normandy invasion of 1944. Defend the beaches or countryside as the German Army or attack the front with the U.S. Airbourne missions or storm every sector of the beach from the Americans, British, Canadian perspective all with accurate accents/voicelines, uniforms, geographic structures of the terrain. There is a lot to dive into Easy Red especially for the low price. The gunplay is not bad and the AI is not the best but it still works to provide a solid experience. For what the game has to offer and the price it is asking for, it's more than worthy to check out and have some fun if you are a nerd for World War 2 battles.

This Game has a style alot of wargames miss. It has the grittiness of WW2 and the action that people who like these games crave. There is Beauty in the simplicity of this game how the interface is simple. how there isnt to much going on. just picking a battle and going in headfirst. It does need some sharpening with the Ai behavior, but even as the product it is now the funny moments I had with Easy Red will make me remember playing this game a positive experience. I can recommend this game to anyone that is a fan of War games that just want the fight, none of the extra fluff. Thank you for this Indie wargame that I stumbled across one day.

Easy Red 1 traz uma sensação nostálgica, como se viajássemos no tempo e não apenas por reviver a Segunda Guerra. Aqueles que jogaram Call of Duty 1 e 2 no PC ou passaram horas em Medal of Honor no PS2, reconhecerão a atmosfera: sons de tiros abafados, cenários mais simples, explosões diretas, sem efeitos exagerados... apenas a essência da guerra.
O jogo não possui gráficos de última geração ou sistemas ultra modernos e é exatamente aí que está seu charme. A vivência é mais realista, estratégica, e com um andamento que evoca os jogos de tiro de antigamente. Você se sente imerso na batalha, não num parque temático com vantagens e interfaces chamativas.
É inegável que existem algumas restrições técnicas, como certas dificuldades nos movimentos da inteligência artificial da câmera em terceira pessoa e principalmente na jogabilidade de blindado, mas nada que prejudique significativamente a diversão. É possível se entreter e desfrutar da proposta do jogo sem maiores problemas.
Se você aprecia narrativas históricas, jogos com uma abordagem mais tática e nostálgicas pode apostar sem receios.

Just a few hours into it.
It's ok i guess but if you want a more realistic take on the franchise, i'd recommend trying out Easy Red 2.
The dev team improved on that game in every aspect, including formatting changelogs and announcements, which often requires trained people for that to be read-worthy.
But ER 1 is also a very mild and light footprint WW II shooter and has achievements as well.

It's quite impressive game for solo dev.
It has pretty much early Battlefield games feel put into it.
A lot of maps which mimic historical events with different nations with different classes and guns to use.
I didn't get to vehicle part yet but one thing is sure - Don't expect anything big for 4€.

Fun and cheap game, has that great beginner game developer aesthetic to it which I love. The kill 500 german's achievement is possible.. but extremely tedious so try at your own risk. The game plays very well and is comparable of that to a ps1 game gameplay wise and graphical appearance. This game also has quiet a few game maps and modes to play on so you'll get your moneys worth. I highly recommend this game and give it a 7/10 Side Note: achievements are only given when you close the game.

Marco, baby. Your game doesn't work. It crashes nonstop and everything constantly jitters. Why are you selling this, Marco? No wonder it's so cheap lol. It is literally nonfunctional.
The game wont stop crashing, even after doing the Fixupdate beta it still crashes, was only able to do the tutorial all the way through, every mission crashed after 1 to 2 minutes in. I have an i3 10100f and an rx 6700 non xt (10gb) and 16 gb of ram. Maybe my computer isn't strong enough for this game, I play dragons dogma 2 and the first descendant, but this game is just way harder to run.
Well, a fun game playing sniper in WWII battles. Of course there are not high production values nor very good 3d models, but it's a nice game if you can get it for < 5 bucks.

機槍上腳架特別是MG42
找到一個側襲點或有掩護的防護, 趴下或蹲下(讓腳架出現)
機槍完全變另一種武器, 指哪打哪超遠程射擊
輕易就可以殲滅20人以上
＊開放的房屋的屋頂是可以上去的, 建議找遠一點的房屋 , 上去找好角度
特別是煙囪努力跳是可以跳上去並趴在上面(甚至煙囪的邊緣也能走)
＊輕型機槍車
在敵人缺乏坦克的時候, 開一台輕型機槍車出去(特別是德軍的)
側襲或抓到敵人行軍動線, 非常容易擊殺50-100個以上的敵軍
＊攻占據點前善用煙霧彈, 可以大幅提升我軍存活率
＊屍體也是能擋遠處的子彈的!
＊敵軍坦克在遠程異常的準, 建議坦克開熟了後可以繞圈打敵軍坦克
特別是打砲台跟車身相接處(打前方跟側面裝甲幾乎沒用)

When I first opened it, I thought It would be an Awful Game, but now I see this game has EVERYTHING!, Guns, Units, Attachments, and much more, It's perfect for those who do not have much money or a good PC, But want good WWII experience, one good thing is that you can customize entirely your loadout, You don't like the sniper scope? Remove it! You don't like the charger? Take it off! You don't like the gun itself? Throw it away!

Good, game with an easy set of instruction's. Nice and quick to start playing , You can play and learn the rules as you proceed. It's not as easy as you may think at the start and replays will be needed for longer than you think.

I haven't played easy red 2 but I pretty much wouldn't recommend the first one.
Sandbox Omaha sounds cool in theory and is interesting for a few rounds, but in practise it gets boring fast.
It's not a badly made game at all, it's just not that fun.

Przyjemna gierka ale aktualnie lepiej zainwestować w drugą część która jest jeszcze lepsza i cały czas aktualizowana.
Overall, it’s a very good game, perfect for those who know very little or large amounts about Operation Overlord as a whole. Its simplistic art style works in its favour, apart from the Sherman, with its flipped texture on one side.
The AI is definitely more A than I, with it often standing about or getting stuck on sandbags or Czech hedgehogs. However contrary to what some might make you believe; it isn't all bad. The AI does still move in the correct directions, it does sometimes "use" cover, but it begins to fall apart in some battles more than others.
Another problem is the difficulty, not that it’s impossible, but its lack. With the exception of Marville as the British, all battles have been incredibly easy. Even on the Realistic difficulty, I have never once failed to take a point or defend a point. So by the end of the game it doesn't feel like a hard fought campaign, it felt like a cake walk.
However, in the end. It’s a one man team so I cannot be too harsh and the games very cheap. So go get it.
Pretty much a rough prototype. Best off buying Easy Red 2, probably.

Lately I been playing FPS indie shooters. Let say because these games are more playable for me than newer games nowadays being all about hard graphics and grinding. Last game I played was okay, but I really hated how it's so buggy. So I decided once more that I play another game made by a same guy. But this time, it's the first game of the Easy Red series. It's very cheap the buy (Black Friday didn't change it's price) so it's a fair price. Played the game and it's pretty good overall. Better than that Normandy game. But when it comes to content and gameplay, Easy Red 2 outweighs the first game. However there are things I like about Easy Red 1.
First thing is that it has D-Day beaches. In fact, all five of them and included paratrooping which I find it really impressive that the dev worked so much on the map. Personally like Juno Beach being a city invasion than a cliff. Sure the buildings are poorly modeled, but least you can go inside actually.
Seconds yes driving vehicles exist in this game and I feel like it's better than the last game I played. However driving tanks is not possible for controlling a cannon and wheel, at the same time. But somehow you can hijack enemy's tank which I found it more effective than driving a friendly tank that can't shoot properly.
Finally for gameplay, the gun play, oh boy, it's very causally run and gunning ranbo-esque out of all Marco's WW2 games. So much that I think running around with a machine gun (if American side) is the best due to high ammo capacity. But unlike second game, proning is not possible which makes long range combat not possible. Only way is to use a rifle or find a wall to bipod.
Now let's talk about the weapons. Simply put they aren't the best animations in the world for so much jank, medicore modeled, and sound felt like being recorded in a bathroom. But I don't hate them because, at least, I wasn't ripoff like some very expensive game. I'll give a big praise that least the developer has balls to add a tactical reload. Thank god it's cheap and even effort.
Oh for bugs, I barely seen any game breaking issues. Although I have few complaints. Getting pushed by an ally is annoying and they're aren't helpful. Worst being game crashes every time you exit the level, but not big deal. There's survival mode. Yeah it's very weird.
Is the game worth it? Yes, absolutely. A small game for only $4 is a fun waster. If you love WW2, D-Day landings, or played Easy Red 2, go buy it. Sure it doesn't have other fronts, but come on he put hard making a D-Day map. The game has come so far on improvements. Hell, the dev is planning to remake the game to the sequel. I hope he could reuse the map from the first game as I do like it, but need some graphical changes. Great to see he's respecting the first game and so do I. Overall a good fun cheap game.

Histoire:
Il n'y en a pas. Vous pouvez incarner 2 factions: les alliés ou l'axis (allemands) et l'objectif est de faire des missions qui sont à peu prés toutes les mêmes : capturer des objectifs clés en décimant les unités ennemies.
Si vous incarnez les Alliés, vous pourrez commencer la campagne par un débarquement sur une plage dans le cadre de la bataille de Normandie par exemple.
Ce jeu rappelle en quelque sorte un Star wars battlefront mais en version seconde guerre mondiale.
Vous incarnez une classe de soldats choisis au préalable et vous vous lancez dans la bataille en mode bourrin pour tenter de capturer les zones contrôlées par l'ennemi.
Un compteur en haut de l'écran affiche vos troupes ainsi que celles de l'ennemi. Si vous subissez trop de pertes, la partie est perdue. Exactement comme dans Star Wars Battlefront.
Heureusement, chaque mission a le mérite d'avoir un environnement différent. Les premières missions liées au débarquement entraîne des combats dans les bunkers de Normandie pour peu à peu laisser place aux paysages de la France, puis urbain dans certains cas. Mais ne vous attendez pas à un scénario scénarisé, nous sommes trés loin de tout cela.
Gameplay :
Rien de révolutionnaire. Vous apparaissez à un endroit avec vos armes et vos munitions et foncez dans les lignes ennemies avec plus ou moins de stratégie.
Vous serez accompagnés par l'IA alliée et vous pourrez même contrôler votre propre brigade.
Mauvais point du jeu : l'IA est à la ramasse et les comportements ne sont pas du tout réalistes. Il n'est pas rare que les soldats restent campés au milieu du champ de bataille attendant de se faire abattre...
Même chose pour l'IA ennemie...
Au niveau du gameplay, il y a donc de sérieuses lacunes compensées en partie par le fun de l'aspect bourrinage.
Toute sortes d'armes sont disponibles dans le jeu : fusils snipers, lance roquettes, mitrailleuses lourdes, fusils...
Ainsi que toute sorte d'équipements et engins de combats: artillerie, tanks, véhicules, mitrailleuses lourdes fixes, etc...
La victoire sur une mission s'obtient en plusieurs phases. Vous devez capturer des points clés afin de faire reculer l'ennemi jusqu'à ce que la mission soit terminée. Si vous échouez à prendre un seul point de capture, game over.
Graphismes :
Ils sont classiques. Rien d'extraordinaire. Les textures sont correctes, cependant, je note une mauvaise optimisation car de nombreux lags voir bugs de textures peuvent apparaître en cours de partie. Quelques crashs également avec retour bureau.
Au niveau de la physique des corps, c'est le seul point positif puisque réaliste au niveau de la mécanique des fluides. De même les explosions sont plutôt réalistes.
Durée de vie : 30 heures maximum pour finir toutes les missions de toutes les factions ainsi que les succés à 100% sur Steam.
Prix: Moins de 3 euros en soldes. Pour ce prix, c'est donné et c'est la seule raison qui m'a poussé à mettre une évaluation positive malgré les énormes défauts du jeu.
Les développeurs ont sorti Easy Red 2 récemment pour information. Je n'ai pas testé mais espérons qu'il soit mieux conçu que leur premier jeu.
Playing this game feels like playing pretend with your friends. It's simple yet honest and it makes me feel very happy. I'm glad I got this in a bundle.

Hát most, hogy a 2. rész megjelent, úgy emlékeztem, hogy az elsőt egyrészt sosem játszottam végig másrészt sokkal gagyibb volt, de kicsit azért szerethető. Hát így a 2 kipróbálása után ez nagyon gyengének hat, persze ha pl az ebből származó bevételt használták a 2 fejlesztésére, akkor nagyon ügyes és felfelé ívelő minőség. Sajnos az az AI eléggé gyenge és igazából monoton a játék is, ennek ellenére végig játszottam, hogy majd az 1. és 2. rész közötti openworld küldetésekre épülő részt is szeretném mielőtt a 2-höz visszatérzék. Mély nyomokat ez a rész nem hagyott bennem, bár azért látszik, hogy szeretettel készült. Haragudni nem tudok rá. Az mondjuk vicces, amikor a tank nem tud felmenni a dombon és végig használhatatlan volt az egyik pályán. Ami még viccesebb, hogy rendszeresen be tudtam szállni az ellenség tankjaiban úgy, hogy ők is benne voltak :D és így vagy a német tankokat lőttem német tankkal, vagy elvittem jó messzire az embereimtől az ő tankjukat, hogy ne árthasson. Nem tudom, hogy ez egy véletlen dolog, ami bent maradt, vagy direkt volt, de igazából nem egyszer jól is jött.

Decently fun little game. Janky, but it functions? Mostly. It's crash twice already. It has charm and some legit good features. Feels like a proper battle in some cases. The "cartoon" graphics setting works MUCH better and looks stylised. Look for other options; The sequel does look very good.

I originally played Easy Red 2 but I decided to try out the first part.
Even though it is a bit laggy, I like it because it is kind of fun!
Nice freeware to nostalgize about 'Battlefield 1942' times, but it's too clunky to pay money for it.

Easy Red is a WW2 themed FPS, which really should be a license to print money, but oooh boy the quality here is not high. This is Battlefield V from Wish. You get a few nice features, customisable resolution thanks to the default Unity launcher. There's a tutorial and a lot of "content", attention to detail was paid to the various weapons, but they're still very low detail.
The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with.
The game is very badly optimised, with low framerates and janky gameplay even on a high end rig. Developers must take the time and polish their games and ensure they are optimised and will play well on any potential customers system.
Overall this is a very unsatisfying experience and unpleasant to play, no matter how ambitious the game design intention might be, if the execution doesn't meet basic minimum quality standards, it's not going to be a winner.
Easy Red has the total ripoff price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. Worth noting Battlefield V has been on sale for $4 in the past, and older WW2 setting Call of Duty and Medal of Honor games have been on sale for cheaper. So where are you going to spend your money? Decisions, decisions.

Glad this game was so cheap. There are still flaws in the game. Tactical motives by the NPC are way off, especially the tanks. Should have had more testing before release.

"realistic" ww2 game that is.... laggy you can only do one mission at ounce
非常好玩，但不知道是不是我的原因，玩几局后会弹出一个页面，无论选什么都会退游戏，但进度还在，强烈推荐
虽然画风简陋但游戏完整，有很多关卡，从抢滩登陆到伞降。
对于我来说非常的好玩，很有代入感。
缺点就是登陆部队遇到敌人装甲就很难搞，盟军登陆后奥克角后都没有一辆坦克，反装甲部队也很少。
只能靠玩家拿着巴祖卡一下一下地炸，经常出现弹药打完了坦克还没死的情况。
要是有补给兵补充弹药就好了。

Easy Red wirkt wie eine Hommage an alte WW2-FPS wie Day of Defeat. Ist dabei jedoch offline mit Bots spielbar, oder sollte ich schreiben [i]nur[/i] offline spielbar mit Bots? Das kann jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.
Jedenfalls ist das Spiel nicht wirklich gut. Es fühlt sich irgendwie alt an, obwohl hierbei dann das Veröffentlichungsdatum negativ überrascht, wenn man bedenkt, dass das Spiel 2017 erschienen ist.
Ich war bei vielen Aspekten positiv überrascht, habe allerdings meine Messlatte recht niedrig gehalten, einfach weil das Spiel schon auf der Shopseite mich nicht wirklich überzeugt hatte.
Für einen Euro habe ich allerdings kurzzeitigen Spaß gehabt. Immerhin.
Kommen wir für die Schnellen unter uns einfach mal zur Pro-Contra-Liste:

+ Map Editor vorhanden

- HUD ist bei gewissen Bildschirmauflösungen recht klein
- Es gibt nur eine Audio-Option. Das ist viel zu wenig. Schüsse sind viel zu laut... Was ins Besondere nervig ist, dass diese Option nicht nach der Beendigung des Spiels speichert...
- Man kann die Steuerung nicht ändern
- Der bloße Akt des Schießens macht wenig Spaß
- Optimierung könnte besser sein. Ein Spiel DAS SO aussieht, sollte kaum etwas von meiner Grafikkarte abverlangen
- Bei mir ist das Spiel einmal abgestürzt
- Das Einnehmen von [i]Objectives[/i] könnte schneller von statten gehen. Es ist immens langsam, selbst, wenn keine Gegner innerhalb davon stehen

War ganz okay es mal ausprobiert zu haben. Einen Abend lang hatte ich meinen Spaß. Ich hoffe jedoch, dass der zweite Teil besser ist.

this is a very fun game to play, its straight to the point with good combat, the maps are decent and weapons pretty good, the map editor looks laborious but pretty cool, im actually very disappointed in myself for not having seen this series before, its a lot of fun and for this one the £2.39 i paid was well worth it

Myślę, że ta gra mimo wielu swoich wad posiada swój klimat. NPC I animacje nie należą do najlepszych. Mam wrażenie, że dla zapalonych historyków nawet taka gra się spodoba na zabicie czasu. Czy warto poświęcić kilka złoty na te grę to kwestia sporna. Sama grę oceniam na 5/10
