Useless crap.
Gioco pessimo e pessima programmazione. Innumerevoli Bug dove il personaggio non esegue il comando o si blocca eseguendo due volte lo stesso comando. Livelli fatti malissimo. Boss fight deludenti. E l'ultima fase è solo una accozzaglia di programmazione che sembra fatta in maniera svogliata nella quale non c'è alcuna strategia. Non lo consiglio affatto e capisco ora perchè non abbia avuto successo, perchè è un gioco fatto MOLTO MALE.

Impossible de paramétré la résolution en 3840x2160 et qui plus est à chaque fois que j'ouvres le menu des options la résolution change en boucle en commencent par 2560x1440 pour redescendre en 1280x720 en passant par chaque tranches d'affichage 16/9 en boucle. Chose que je n'avais jamais rencontré en près de 40 ans de gaming. J'ai essayer plusieurs options sans que ne change grand chose au problème. J'abandonne peut être que j'y reviendrai plus tard, mais pour le moment j'ai eu ma dose d'agacement.

I really had no clue what kind of game Double Cross (DC) was going to be. To my surprise, it's a slightly awkward performer, but one that winds up being pretty fun and engaging, largely due to the crime-solving component. Mechanically that element isn't mind-blowing, but it was more compelling than I'd have first expected.
[h1]Gameplay[/h1]
There's two main components to DC. The first involves platforming through different worlds, where you'll eventually leave with more information, or a specific clue in hand. Before entering, you'll find out how many pieces of upgradium are available. They're secrets hidden throughout every stage, and are well worth picking up, since they provide two types of upgrades for your character. One of them allows you to fill three slots with abilities or stat increases you think is most helpful. A few that I enjoyed were not taking any damage from spikes or pits, and increasing the radius that energy automatically comes your way. Simply enough, the other kind are permanent changes, such as increased health, and unlocking new fighting moves.
Switching to the second gameplay portion, this takes place in RIFT headquarters. With the different clues and notes in your inventory, you're able to discuss matters with NPCs, and show them items in order to get more information. Personally, I did this after every level, although you could probably wait until you've beaten all three levels first. There's not much nuance about this, as you follow a predetermined path, but I still found it to be a good hook. It felt like I was getting closer to what I needed to make the big bust.

Both the combat and platforming, core elements of the game's controls, could have been tighter and better implemented. Combat feels a bit awkward, but it helps when you utilize all of her moves, such as simple combos ending with heavy attack, striking downward, and dodge-rolling enemy blows. Over time, I did get more used to the slingshot, able to better manage my trajectory, and when to propel myself forward. It wasn't to the level of mastery needed to have any interest in trying to earn the top score in all of the arcade stages though.

RIFT is an organization overseeing the multiverse, trying to stay on top of any portals that might cause cross-contamination across worlds. Such disruptions have the potential for tremendous damage, as a disease, or the wrong technological device getting out of hand, could have devastating consequences for an unprepared world. However, there are legitimate complaints about how RIFT operates, as entire worlds facing hardship that could easily be solved by the most developed civilizations are left to suffer. What is the appropriate balance and responsibility for those with such power at their fingertips? I like how Zahra, the protagonist, ponders these issues while working on her cases, navigating the nuance between both sides. From my POV, this is how a strong female should be written, as she doesn't declare her position correct merely due to her own moral superiority or anything. She's considering all of the issues, and realizing that some of the criminal charges levied against others could be applied to RIFT too. These are tough, complex matters without easy solutions.

Considering how DC takes place in an area overseeing the multiverse, there's thankfully only a handful of human characters. Mixing in a range of “alien” races does suggest that this organization is taking in talent from a broad network. A trade-off is that with such a limitless idea, you'd have to incorporate a wide range of character designs to make it seem like you tapped into the potential available, and it falls a bit short, in part because the cast isn't all that large. Even though there's a variety of races represented, they're all clearly designed by the same artist, as there's a distinct style at place. My main complaint would be how the backgrounds in stages look, as it has a simplistic appearance.
[h1]Sound Design[/h1]
A couple of songs have a space-vibe to them, but more often than not they're bass-heavy, so I'd say the music is more focused on being impactful than screaming that it's in outer space. Since you're so often on some planet anyways, that makes sense. Speaking of, since one of them is the equivalent of an entertainment district on a planetary scale, it by far has the most fun and catchy tunes: I can practically feel the good times from here. Although the other planets songs might not have such a clear or distinct theme, I still enjoyed all the music, finding them to be well-composed and pleasant. Additionally, there weren't any unpleasant noises, such as when your health gets low, or you fall into a pit. The noise that's made as you take damage like that is fairly minor and quick, so it's not too annoying.

🌟 I enjoyed talking with the NPCs, gathering information. The title is a bit on the nose, yet it's made clear pretty quickly that the villain behind everything is from the inside.

❌ Were it not for the arcade section, I'd have given a more enthusiastic recommendation for the entire game. Such a difficult area buried late in a game with flawed controls isn't a good combination.

🔍 Since gathering upgradium is how you level up and earn new abilities and perks, it's worth exploring the first time you play a stage. That way you get a sense for how they like hiding stuff, and hopefully get most of them your first attempt.
🔍 When you're getting close to having maximum energy, make sure you top off your health. There's no point in wasting the excess.
[h1]Final Thoughts[/h1]
Between play-testing and feedback, the developers really should have known better with one stage in particular. If you play the levels in order from top to bottom, you'll encounter a sudden departure in how the game handles on the Funderdome world. The second level is a game within a game section, where you have to earn VIP status to advance. Even though it's based off the game's mechanics, it greatly increases the difficulty in at least a couple of these six challenges. Merely getting a score high enough to make progress can be a hardship, let alone earning the achievement for beating the top score in each challenge. I was entertaining the idea of 100%'ing the game, but this truly threw all my momentum off, and I didn't care to anymore. This wasn't enough to make me rage quit, yet I could see it be a stumbling block for some people. Such a decision doesn't tank my feelings toward DC, but I also can't give it as strong a glowing endorsement either. Why'd you have to give in to your evil side?

The platforming in Double Cross has potential, but the clunky controls make it feel frustrating instead of fluid. Just when I start having fun, the game constantly interrupts with unnecessary dialogue, investigations, and forced conversations. It feels like I'm spending more time clicking through text than actually playing. The pacing drags, and overall, it just gets in the way of itself.
A cute-looking and moderately challenging MMX-ish platformer. The plot isn't a heavyweight, but has enough intrigue to string me along. Would like to see a sequel or two in my lifetime.

Great level design, music, visuals, movement. I enjoyed story. Combat was a little easy but the focus of the game is platforming and the level design which it excels at.
I have 100%ed the game at 10 hours so not exactly super long but a fun time.

A decent MMX styled sidescroller, nothing really sticks out but it's fairly solid even if a bit on the more casual friendly side of things
Only bit of annoyance is on the technical side where for some reason the game never really feel smooth it kinda slightly stutters even with the usual fixes for stuttering, nothing unbearable either but noticeable nonetheless, also the game refuse to keep your native resolution saved, so every single boot you'll have to change it or apply a semi permanent workaround that prevent you from going into the options.
La proposition est assez faiblarde en tout point. Si on exclue un gameplay relativement bon, tout le reste n'a aucun intérêt, du level design à la narration en passant par la musique et le charadesign, il n'y a rien d'intéressant.

The gameplay is pretty good as well as the plot.
It's a surprisingly smooth platformer with good level design and gameplay mechanics. Seemed janky at first because of some weird frame drops, but that went away pretty fast. Boss fights are a bit easy tbh. hardest one for me was Ripjaw, because I had forgotten you could dodge lol. Glass cannon tho... that makes things a lot spicier. Gonna try that next. Hopefully the rest of the achievements after beating the game aren't too hard.
BTW, The arcade level is ridiculously fun, but once you get the high scores, they stay there.

Double Cross es recomendable para pasar el rato. Tiene una historia simple, pero interesante, junto a su concepto de guardias dimensionales es agradable. Este juego es parecido jugablemente a Shantae, si te gusta el gameplay de Shantae, te va a agradar Double Cross.
Algo que me encanto es que sus niveles son bastante variados, nunca vas a sentir que es repetitivo.
Eso si 2 puntos a destacar: El juego no tiene mucha dificultad, ademas de que el control a veces es horrible porque el personaje no se agarra a donde debería o no salta la pared correctamente, pero por lo demás. Vale la pena.
I recommend. Not very often I pick up an indie title and it ends up being so addicting I beat it in one sitting. No hate on indies, my attention span is just super picky. I got it on sale and I feel I got way more than my money's worth!

- the first level in the third dimension is glorious eye candy
The pros honestly outweigh the cons, and the first level is deceptively bland. I think if you like 2d platformers and appreciate neat level design you'll get a kick out of this one. It's on sale at the time of writing so get it while it's hot!

Платформінг нескладний і мені сподобались липкі, слизькі і стрибучі поверхні Гутопії, повітряні кульки Фандердому та караван банди Ріпджоу. Основна проблема платформінгу полягає у тому що Зара Сінклер занадто «легка». Висотою та довжиною її стрибка складно керувати бо вона летить вперед без жодного спротиву і стрибок не регулюється тривалістю натискання кнопки. Ця «невагомість» стає справжньою проблемою коли ми отримуємо можливість швидко бігати та якщо платформи закороткі.
Друга важлива механіка – протонна рогатка яка чіпляється за спеціальні якорі та вистрілює Зару у повітря. Я уже бачила подібну механіку виконану набагато краще у прекрасному «Ori and the Blind Forest», де напрямком польоту можна керувати мануально та застосовувати цю механіку проти ворогів. У Double Cross мануального керування немає, напрямок польоту залежить від положення агента Сінклер відносно якоря. Протонна рогатка також страждає від «невагомості» Зари, і часом дуже незручна, але звикнути можна. Єдине місце де користуватися нею було справді зручно це рівні Фандердому з фіксованим напрямком якорів.
Бої і супротивники у грі доволі посередні і не запам’ятовуються.
Нажаль усі недопрацьовки гри об’єднуються в один великий бісючий клубок у міні-іграх Фандердома які надихнули багато негативних відгуків.
Мені сподобався сеттінг гри, він дає простір для фантазії та дозволяє сподіватися на другу частину. Персонажі дуже милі і за дизайном і за характером і я із задоволенням дізналася б про них більше. Переглянувши малюнки персонажів з етапу розробки мені трохи сумно що ми не отримали менш людиноподібну директорку деЛаборн. Не зважаючи на поверхневість інтриги та розслідування Double Cross пропонує критичний погляд на інститути влади та перепони у розповсюдженні знання і це чудово.
У підсумку це цікава гра якій не вистачає трохи полірування. Не зважаючи на недоліки я із задоволенням зіграю у другу частину якщо вона з’явиться.

No dejes que la estética del juego te engañe, en realidad es un plataformero muy bueno, tiene buenos personajes y aunque te imaginas algo del plot, es una buena sorpresa el final. Double Cross is one of my favorite games. Not because it's a title that introduces any revolutionary concept or playstyle, but because it knows what it sets out to do, and does so spectacularly.
Zahra is an incredibly enjoyable heroine to follow throughout the story, and her moveset remains simple while providing options for expansion and a high skill ceiling. The combat isn't complex, but the game never gives you the feeling that it wants it to be.
It has a short but killer soundtrack, a fun story, and a cast of characters that are as memorable as they are unique (looking at you, Pineapple!).
If you want to experience a short adventure through multiple dimensions with funny commentary, mild interactive puzzle elements, all on top of a story remixing the classic "who dun it" premise, then the platformer Double Cross is a game you should definitely pick up and experience.

The main thing that attracted me to this game was the fact it had zero Steam reviews. I love giving smaller unknown projects a chance and Double Cross did not disappoint. The overall short length if the game compliments the level design and pacing well. You platform your way through 3 levels of 3 main areas. Each area has a unique mechanic that gets built upon nicely through the 3 levels. Combat is simplistic while still allowing for a degree of finesse. As you unlock upgrades you gain new moves that allow you to combo enemies in some pretty fun ways. There are some extra challenges for folks that love 100% completion. Enough to give you more to do without being overwhelming. Unfortunately some sections felt a bit tedious to get through. However as mentioned earlier the game is pretty short so you wont get stuck for long. Despite the simplistic art style the game features colorful character designs and diverse (enough) environments. Overall a quick fun game for people that enjoy platformers. 6/10 Does enough to stand out but doesn't do anything exceptional.
Un juego de plataformas con una estructura de niveles muy entretenido. El juego contiene un tutorial al principio, 3 mundos con 3 fases y otra fase dedicada a un jefe y la fase final. Todas las fases salvo la fase final incluyen desafíos adicionales como conseguir coleccionables (que te permiten desbloquear nuevas habilidades, equipables o de combate) y un reloj, incitando a que las completes de forma rápida (esto último sólo sirve para obtener logros).
Los niveles son accesibles a través de un hub. En este hub, puedes hablar con los personajes del juego, lo cual es fantástico, pues te puedes encontrar con algunas conversaciones que aportan a la historia y con otras que simplemente aportan comentarios divertidos. Se siente vivo en este sentido. Además, en ocasiones, será necesario para avanzar, pues en la historia del juego tendrás que resolver casos hablando con tus compañeros.
El gameplay es muy divertido, cuentas con el típico salto, salto de pared, y habilidades similares de juegos plataformeros. También tiene un sistema de combate, pero no es excesivamente profundo. La posibilidad de hacer combos podría haber sido más extensa, cada ataque es independiente en mayor o menor medida. La habilidad estrella del juego es el rayo/gancho que tiene la protagonista, que te permite colgarte de ciertos enganches e impulsarte y agarrar y lanzar objetos. También hay un esquive, pero no es muy bueno, pues una vez inicias un esquive no podrás hacer otro movimiento hasta que este acabe. Cuando buscas completar ciertos logros o jugar de manera rápida es bastante molesto. Pero, en general, el gameplay es bastante bueno. En cuanto a dificultad, no creo que sea un juego difícil. Tiene sus momentos complicados, pero en general es accesible (algunos logros sí que son difíciles).
La historia está bastante bien. Tiene algunos giros interesantes y cuenta con momentos divertidos. Las escenas no tienen voces ni animaciones, solo son cuadros de texto con imágenes de los personajes. Sin detallar mucho, para resolver el caso importante de la historia, necesitas obtener pruebas. Pero para conseguir esas pruebas es necesario resolver otros casos diferentes. Cuando resuelves todos esos casos, ya tendrás pruebas suficientes para resolver el caso importante. No quiero spoilear tampoco, a mí me ha gustado mucho la historia y creo que es mejor si juegas sin saber mucho de esta.
Finalmente, el juego diría que puede durar unas 4/5 horas si vas a pasártelo y ya. Si quieres todos los logros, los coleccionables, saber más del lore, etc, puede durar más del doble. Para completar al 100% el juego, con todos los logros, me tomó unas 14 horas.
Personalmente, si te gustan los juegos de plataformas, recomiendo este juego, especialmente si te gustan los que se estructuran por niveles. Yo le daría un 8, en general es bastante bueno. Por sacarle algo malo, a parte de lo ya mencionado, la música, sin ser mala, no es especialmente memorable, y algunas animaciones podrían verse un poco mejor. Para lo que me ha costado (unos 3 euros y pico) ha sido una experiencia muy buena. Recomendado

Controls and remapping / settings in general are messy and a pain, but if you can get past that its fun for the few hours it takes.

Definite recommend. While it doesn't do anything particularly groundbreaking or outstanding, the game feels quite nice to play once you get used to the controls a bit. The art is good, the animations especially are very smooth. The music is solid. The story is quaint, mostly consisting of interacting with cast of very unique-looking and stylised characters; it rarely overstays its welcome, serving largely as a break between levels, while being interesting enough not to make you want to skip it entirely.
The combat isn't anything too deep, mainly having you fight a rotation of 10 or so simple enemies, with the enjoyment of the fighting coming less from its mechanics and more the satisfaction of wrecking enemies. Its especially fun to pick up enemies' thrown weapons and chucking them back at people.
The platforming is not very difficult nor punishing, but its also not so easy as to be boring. Moving around feels nice once you get used to the feel of it, and as you get good at the movement you can zoom through levels very satisfyingly, tearing apart enemies as you fly across the screens. The proton slinger especially is a ton of fun, just tossing yourself all over the place, with sets of mechanics that differ just enough to keep every level fun and interesting.
Fue mejor de lo que esperaba, aunque sigue habiendo bastante espacio para mejora, especialmente en cuanto a la presentación, aunque hablando de eso lo mejor de este apartado es el diseño de los personajes; quién sea se encargo de eso hizo un gran trabajo con todos los diseños, lastima que todo lo demás no está a la altura. El lore y world-building son muy interesantes y el dialogo es decente, todos los demás aspectos de lo que no hablé son pasables, incluyendo la trama como tal.
Ojala algún día los desarrolladores se animen a hacer una secuela, porque tienen bastante potencial en sus manos.

Double Cross는 마우스를 이용하여 그래플러 액션을 하는 플랫포밍 게임입니다. 필드에는 그래플러로 잡을 수 있는 물체들이 있는데, 이를 붙잡거나 반동을 이용해 반대편으로 넘어갈 수 있습니다.
저 같은 경우엔 트레일러에 나온 부드러운 움직임때문에 해당 게임을 구매했는데, 여러모로 잘못만들었다는 생각이 크게 듭니다.

이 게임에는 3가지 행성이 있고, 각자 4개의 미션을 갖고 있습니다. 각 행성 별로 나오는 몬스터가 다른 데, 대략 3-4마리의 몬스터를 갖고 있습니다. 한 행성에 3-4명입니다. 즉, 4개의 임무에서 싸웠던 애들과 계속 싸워야 합니다. 뭣보다 플랫포밍 게임임에도 불구하고 전투가 잦습니다. 무시할 수 있는 전투도 아니고 강제로 웨이브를 격파해야하는 식입니다. 고작 3-4마리의 몬스터를 가지고 2웨이브의 전투를 이기기를 해야 합니다. 그렇다고 독특한 요소의 오브젝트가 있는 것도 아니고, 그냥 지형만 살짝 바뀝니다. 진짜 살짝. 거기다 한 임무에 전투를 5번 이상은 족히 줍니다. 놀랍게도 2웨이브 전투하기 뒤에는 3웨이브 전투하기, 3웨이브 전투하기 뒤에는 4웨이브 전투하기식으로 무성의하게 임무를 반복합니다. 그럼 이게 한 임무에서만 나오냐? 아닙니다. 네 가지 임무에서 다 나옵니다. 첫 번째 임무에서 봤던 몹 3-4마리를 그대로 쭉....
전투만 반복적인게 아닙니다. 수집요소를 숨긴 방법도 반복적입니다. 척 봐도 의미없는 오브젝트가 있다면 그걸 타고 위로 올라가면 된다던가, 진행방향과 다른 방향으로 구멍이 뚫려 있다던가.. 그러다보니 안그래도 수집요소 모으는 보상도 약한데 지겹기까지 합니다.
행성은 임무별로 배경이 다르지 않습니다. 배경이 완전히 복붙입니다. 오브젝트만 좀 추가되었을 뿐인데, 대부분 활용방식이 비슷해서 재미가 없습니다.
특히 마지막 전투땐 보스러시로 분량 늘리려고 하는 모습마저 보입니다. 바로 전 단계에서 3마리의 보스를 다 쓰러트렸음에도 불구하고 다시 또 쓰러트려야 됩니다.
2. 기타 그외 불만점들
여하간 게임이 반복적이다 보니 전체적으로 긴장감 없습니다.
임무는 최종전 포함해서 13개로 5-7분내면 클리어할 수 있습니다. 2만원짜리 게임이라 치기엔 너무 짧습니다.
스토리는 지루합니다. 추리물을 표방하고 있지만 진상을 알아낼만한 떡밥같은 건 없고, 그냥 여행할 때마다 새로운 사실을 알게 되는 게 다입니다.
총평
너무 반복적이라 지치고 재미없습니다. 이게 사실 왜 긍정적인지 이해가 안되네요. 원랜 더 길게 쓰고 싶었는데... 뭔가 그럴 힘도 없네요. 만일 구매하실 거면 잘 생각하시길 바랍니다. 게임이 너무 반복적이에요.

So I’m going to lead off with this game should have gotten more attention than it did. It’s good. It’s got it’s flaws, but it’s a good complete experience that I enjoyed from start to end, with the exception of world 3. Combat can basically be described as ‘spam attack and dodge’ which can lead to multiple scenes of simply waiting for the waves of enemies to end so you can get back to the fun platforming. But the story was well crafted and kept me intrigued, and the side plots among the characters were something I’d love to see even more of if there’s a future installment one day.
Very very good plot and platforming mechanics, Keyboard support is poor at best, beat-em up sections are mediocre. Pick it up if you're looking for an action game that's just plain fun, because the core gameplay was obviously designed with fun as it's principle, as it should.

First things first, I really liked this game. Played it for free during the trial weekend, but will be purchasing it shortly. Feels like there was some inspiration from Guacamelee and Megaman/Metroid games. Gameplay was very smooth, and despite what others have said, the grappling mechanic was great. I was able to do things like grappling myself into the air, catching a projectile that was shot at me, shooting it back, then re-grappling so I didn't fall into the poison water (or goo?); you can even grapple some enemies. The angle at which you grapple will determine how you go flying; if you want to go higher, grapple from a lower angle, if you want to go sideways more, try to grapple from the side. If you've played Guacamelee the combat is kinda like that, you have combos you can do depending on if you're in the air or on the ground, there's a light and heavy attack, and you have a dodge.
A little too flashy, but in general, this game is fresh. Graphics, dialogues, references - everything feels fresh and that is nice. Basically, fresh version of CrossCode.

Honestly I don't exactly get why but I'm not into this.
The story is so uninteresting. You're an officer on a spaceship solving crimes by finding evidence in different dimensions?
Okay that sounds cool when I say it like that, but the thing is this is a platformer that FEELS like it could have been a metroidvania but I can assure you, you'll spend more time wanting the characters to shut up.
The gameplay gimmick for this one is a grapple that allows you to grab onto things. But everytime you use it, you have to slow down the game and then aim to the thing and go. So the game feels actively like it's stopping you in your tracks to use a gimmick that has no depth to it.
What I AM into though, is that art style, it's like a WayForward game with it's appealing 2d cartoony style and you should just play Shantae instead! Honestly!
It's a shame, the main character is a whole cutie pie.
I have never seen so much polish put on something so broken. Character designs are great. Art is clean and has a definite appeal. Writing is suitably amusing at a kid-friendly level.
Too bad the level design and controls are absolutely horrible. This game wants to be Super Meat Boy. It wants to challenge you with difficult wall-jumping-grapple-slinging segments. Thing is, a well-designed platforming challenge has a certain "flow" to it that you eventually latch onto and follow through. Not here. There is no flow. The grappling is clumsy at best. The game is demanding feats that the controls can't deliver. And what else does the game have to offer? The most bare-bones combat, relegated primarily to locked arenas.
My thumbs have not been this sore since Megaman X 6. This isn't "frustrating but fun." This is "controller-smashing, broken nonsense." And that is a damn shame, because the setting and characters are really, really great. I paid $4 for this game. If you want to buy it, do not pay full price. If you find it at 75% off or more, that's a fair price.

I did enjoy the story at first, I didn't expect a "detective" game thrown in with the 2D platformer system. I just wished both were more developed, they feel way too basic. It would have probably benefited from a more metroid-vania structure than a linear one. Also the ending is teasing a sequel, which felt the ending as inconclusive.
The characters are nice, but they're pretty barebones except the main protagonist and the antagonist. I barely remember their names after playing.
Music is nothing to special, nothing special either.
As for the art... Oh boy. It honestly feels like those 2D flash game artstyle. It took me a while to get used to; it makes the whole game feels really cheap and badly animated. They really should have decided to stick for another artstyle; it's my main grape about the game.
I really love Runbow, their previous game; I bought 4 different versions of it. I was definitely interested in their new project but the artstyle scared me from buying it, and then playing it.

Has a pretty nice combat system with a bunch of moves, but doesn't really require you to master it; bit of a waste. Overall it is a fun game though.
This game was great! The art, characters, and world are fun and I liked the core mystery of the story. The gameplay was fluid, though I had some trouble being reliably good at the core mechanic, which led to some trouble with time-sensitive sections later in the game.
I left it on overnight one time so my "hours played" is a bit skewed, in practice it probably took me about 10 hours. I went for all upgrades, but not all achievements. Fights against standard goons felt easy to me, but I still found a bit of a challenge with the bosses, and I prefer that part to be too easy rather than too hard. Bosses had some creative patterns and fun animations. I'd love to see a sequel someday!
While the game is kind of interesting, and has the occasional unfair part that might require a good deal of trial-and-error to get lucky, there's a massive difficulty spike in the 2nd "Funderdome" level that just made me dump it.
Maybe if you play stuff like Meatboy, but if that's not your thing, don't bother with this one.
I can't recommend a game that brings nothing new to the table.
I really want to like this game but to me it's just mediocre.
There's 3 worlds with 4 levels each, 3 standard levels then a boss level. It doesn't break up or spice up gameplay enough through each world.
Every level is just platforming lined with little arena wave fights, Which would be fine if the platforming and fighting wasn't so basic.
The arena/wave fights are always the same. Each world has about 3 enemies that it throws at you over and over.
The fighting is... fine. Nothing really special, just punch a bit then dodge every once in a while.
The platforming options are super basic; jumping, wall-jumping, dodging and slinging.
The slinging mechanic just isn't enough to pull the platforming through. (No pun intended.)
Also speaking of platforming, the game isn't exactly bug free. I've gotten stuck on corners, walls and completely clipped through moving platforms which become annoying very quickly.
Story is incredibly generic, Dialog is painfully generic, characters will be like "My family was killed that's why I'm evil." with a "sad" music track playing like the player is supposed to care. Nobody can care about a character that was introduced 10 minutes ago and has the same plight as everyone else. And sometimes you cant read the dialog, because it plays during gameplay, so unless you can play at the bottom of the screen and read the top, then your gonna have to just stop in middle of the level... or the boss fight. Yep, try and read dialog while fighting a boss. Voice acting would solve that problem, just sayin'.
I feel like the only thing holding everything together is the art and even then the level backgrounds are super flat. Yeah "haha" the 2D game is flat. That's not what I mean. There's multiple levels where I had a hard time figuring out what was a background element and foreground element, and died because of it. Also because everything is so flat it makes the level look boring, no real depth on anything, just some basic parallaxing.
The first 2 worlds where the biggest offenders, some levels where just grey metal background or beige rock texture, no contrasting or interesting color choices that I can remember. The neon city or "Funderdome" was a nice change of pace in terms of color but even then It's still just as flat.
Overall just a lot of stuff I've seen done before, and done better at that.
Wow, that's a lot of negativity. Let me talk about what I LIKE about the game.
The portraits/designs. The character designs are great, It's at the forefront of the game for me and it's the only thing that really engages you during dialog and I wish there were more than just a couple expressions.
(More expressions paired with voice acting would have been great!)
The "Detective" work. Each world you have to put together a case of evidence eventually leading to an arrest warrant for that worlds boss. You will have to go around and talk to your colleagues and give them certain items to build up evidence. Even though it was extremely simple, I enjoyed it.
The "Universe" or "lore". I like the whole organization that monitors Interdimensional travel thing. It's cool and I think you can do some cool stuff with it.
Alright, that's all I can think of to comment on. There's still plenty more I didn't cover like the music or secrets/gems.
Even though I don't exactly recommend this game It doesn't mean I hate it. I definitely wouldn't put this much time into writing if I thought the game was garbage. I just think it's too average. there's some good and some bad, but the core gameplay just isn't enough for me.
Again, I really wanted to like the game. this is by far my longest review and most serious review. I usually don't review games in-depth because I'm not very good at it, But I figured I'd give this one a go. Hopefully It informs someone.
This is a fun game that's very well made. Great gameplay, art style, and level design. Well worth the price.
This is a cartoony 2D physics puzzle platformer with a cutesy/cartoony theme and mild visual novel elements to convey the story. Control a "dimensional agent" and jump through various physics puzzles using single jump, some wall jumping, and a "physics gun" that allows you to pick up heavy objects and also slingshot yourself through occasional anchor points as the puzzle requires.
The art style here is crisp and delivery is okay, you get 4K support and a couple of graphics options (framerate is conspicuously absent which is a problem). Controls and game-feel are okay but not great, a little loose and floaty, which is a problem. Controls can be customised so that's another check in the box to bring this up to minimum acceptable standard for PC. This is definitely better than most platformers on Steam, especially because the graphics aren't tired old overdone lazy "retro pixel" graphics. Unfortunately the platformer gameplay itself is mediocre and could have used a lot more polish and playtesting.
The game is priced at an eye watering $28.95, that's really not acceptable for any kind of 2D platformer. This might be worth recommending if the gameplay was a lot better, but you don't get to charge A+ pricing for a B- game format that should have died in the 1990s. I do hope the artists involved in the game go on to do bigger and better things.
A fun action-platformer, like Mega Man X might be if he left the buster at home, wrapped up in mystery and intrigue. It's simplistic but very well put together. Also refreshingly short--I finished in five hours but could see myself replaying for speed or poking around for secrets.
The game recommends you play with a controller, and I agree. Trying this with mouse-and-keyboard effectively would probably need key brain regions remapped.

Double Cross it's a very good game and it's a shame it has so few reviews.
There are some flaws: the movement isn't very fluid, the momentum after a jump it's a bit difficult to control, the story is pretty simple and the game is a bit too short. However, these flaws are probably due to budget limits, because the game was clearly made with a lot of love: the characters design is fantastic, the music is very good and the gameplay has a lot of variety. Each level feels different from the others, making them all memorable, and the upgrade system can, in a good way, break the game, making replaying them interesting.
The game also has a good balance with the difficulty: it's never too easy and some challenges are difficult, but there are plenty checkpoints and dying it's only a minor step back; there's a little spike in difficulty in a level, but it revolves around just needing some trial and error to get the right technique and to memorize the level.
Using keyboard and mouse isn't very difficult either: the default configuration is a bit unintuitive, but you can customize it as you please; personally, I put both attacks on the mouse and the dodge on the left shift and it never failed me.
Overall, Double Cross it's a great game that needs more recognition: the game was made with passion and it's worth the time of everyone that has a slight interest in platformers and adventure games. I'm definitely eager to see the next 13AM's project and you should too, because it's clearly something special.
even though that I'm not a fan of Platformer games but for me this game was really fun to play, it's very enjoyable game with beautiful 2D graphics . combat is cool , story is awesome and exciting , I like the characters designs , this game has beautiful Environmental graphics which is something I like about it , at the end I will recommend this game to everyone

So this is an interesting one for me, this was a very charming game that in some regards could have been better for sure but is by noooo means bad, it's a little short and relies on you searching for some well hidden power ups for that extra bit of play time and I don't mind that in games to a degree but that's a personal gripe so feel free to ignore that, you by no means need all of them to beat the game by any means dood
Okay so the bad, combat is actually great with a power meter, why is that bad? the power ups are all linked, I could use one of my two offensive abilities but then I run the risk of too low health, it's rare that happens honestly but it's always a fear of any gamer and honestly? it doesn't charge up fast enough to make it worth wasting a heal charge when your normal attacks do more than enough damage.
Music is a bit meh, not bad but just nothing too energetic either, I guess you could say it just felt like it was there but never felt like it made moments more impactful in any kind of way, honestly music is a medium I feel that isn't a super important factor as long as the games fun to play which it is but it's an improvement that would have made this game a lot more stellar if it had some decent music which typically with a 2D game is needed more than most games dood
okay that's the bad, the good is that the character design is spot on, the art has both a cool yet somewhat cute looks to it, the game flows nicely with it too and it does a great job of making the characters feel like part of the world while also making them stand out enough that they don't clash and become missable dood
The games environments are nice looking and great to traverse, especially with the sling mechanic which is even incorporated in some boss battles and make for some real fun puzzles, even the dodge mechanic adds to moving through the environment and it all just becomes so fun with what they use, it's rare I enjoy actually going through a level dood.
Combat itself is good, a little stiff at times but it has enough freedom to become fluid and do some oddly fun combo's, the story is pretty decent with a fun element of discovery as you go through it and try to guess who the bad guy is, I'd say it was obvious but I don't wanna spoil over such a silly detail dood XD
And that's it really, it's just a really fun game, it could have been a lot better, would have liked some voice acting in it for sure, even if it were cheesy Saturday morning cartoon voices, in fact that would have been better in it's own way looking at the art style and feel of the game, I say get it and hope ya'all enjoy dood ^-^7
Its a great indie to play.Has high replayability just because of all the different difficulties and the story is ok. Combat is kind of boring and the puzzles are alright. Buy it if it is on sale for $5.99-$9.99. Not worth 19.99 in any aspect.

A arte estilo cartoon é legal, a história achei interessante e a jogabilidade é muito boa. A mecânica do "proton slinger" pra se "estilingar" pelo cenário é bem divertida.
Se for para criticar algo, seria a quantidade de história. O jogo parece metade ação/plataforma, metade visual novel. Tem muita coisa pra ler e infelizmente não tem legenda em português. A mim não incomodou pois gostei da história, mas para quem procura um jogo ação constante, a quantidade de texto vai atrapalhar.
O combate é ok, achei pouca a variedade de inimigos. A última missão é muito boa, tem um pouco de tudo que você enfrentou durante o jogo.
Awesome game! I honestly didn't expect it to be as good as it was. It starts off at a manageable difficulty, but then gets extremely hard - insanely if you don't collect the upgradium. Seriously, that stuff helps you so much. FYI: Collect as much of it as you can!
There were so many times when in the face of a new challenge I'd say "Are you kidding?! I can't do that!" But after trying and trying I'd figure it out and manage it anyways. The victories were all the sweeter because I really had to work for them.
The game has an engaging story, colorful characters, and increasing depth as you progress. Things of this sort aimed at kids are renowned for being very black and white with over the top villains having no other motivation than conquering the multiverse, but here the characters and plot are more complex, starting you off thinking it`s all black and white and then bit by bit revealing shades of gray. The protagonist is especially likeable.
Loved this game and got it at a significant discount to boot. So thrilled with with my purchase I got a second for a friend! If you like challenging story rich games then this for you! :D

It's a Good Game, lots of fun to be had despite some minor jankiness here or there especially in the combat.
the platforming is solid and story while simple is still decent, it's no huge mystery in terms of plot but the twist was still something i didn't see coming so i give it a plus for that.

Sehr gutes Indie-Spiel. Eine tolle Grafik, schöne Figuren, ein super Gameplay, untermalt von einem grandiosen Soundtrack. Nur zu empfehlen, für 100 % allerdings nicht ganz einfach.
It's not completely worthless, but it's kind of boring. Its biggest problem is that it's too darn easy: puzzles are usually very easy to solve; combat is simplistic, button-mashy, and over quickly, and this includes the bosses; and the only occasionally challenging part, using the laser grappling hook, nearly always allows a lot of chances to correct mistakes you might make.
The plot aspect is no worse than any other family-friendly game like this, but the "system" of gathering and analyzing evidence could not be more shallow, and serves only to make you run around the base a million times--no real detective work by the player. The optional character arcs are honestly better just by virtue of not pretending to be actual gameplay.
On the graphics and sound side, the character designs are decent, and some of the special effects are nice, but everything else is just boring: level graphics and backgrounds are distractingly under-detailed, and the music is uninspired and forgettable. I'm grateful that the character dialogue isn't voiced, I can't imagine it not being annoying as heck. Voices are limited to the usual player character grunts and boss cackles.
The game's not really bad, despite all of the above, and I did enjoy it from time to time, but taken on the whole, it's hard to recommend. Overall, the game comes off as amateurish, which is surprising given how many people worked on it--when the credits rolled, I half-expected to find out it was a one-person project. If you have a hankering for this type of game, get it on sale, and you'll probably be satisfied. Otherwise, I'd pass on it.
it's a great game, a fun action platformer. it's has a megaman zx feel to the design mixed with a bit of rick and morty concept wise. it's a decent challenge but not too pixel perfect that you'd wanna bang your head into a brick wall over it. I do with it was a bit longer though or had a post game mission set of some sort. all in all i'd give it an 8/10. I hope they either release dlc or a sequel sometime soon.
...that's an interesting one. Initially I thought it's a metroidvania kind of a game, but it is not. Not really. You do unlock skills, you even have levels and permanent upgrades from these, but maps are mostly linear and you don't really need all these skills to beat them. They just make things easier and a few upgrades are required to get specific achievements. But ultimately, you don't need any of them. So, it's a nice platformer with fun action elements. Not even once I felt like controls are clunky or unresponsive and all mistakes I made were all mine. At one point of the game (Funderdome II) difficulty spiked through the roof, but you have infinite tries and unless you want to get all the achievements you should be fine by taking 5th place in local minigames to pass it. It doesn't even count in invincible and speedrun achievements. So, just be patient and you'll do it. In general platforming is quite easy-going, though and fights are not really intense unless you make them so with a Glass Cannon upgrade. It's ridiculously powerful, but you die in a single hit. Yes, you'll have to use it in the final fight in order to get an achievement, so have fun.
Since what you do in this game is an investigation (of an attack on interdimensional police HQ) it's worth to mention that the result of it is unexpected and while being obvious you likely won't see it coming. At least I didn't. Maybe even twice. I think the plot is good. It keeps tension and looks like an actual investigation. There are also a few little side-stories too.
The music and overall art levels are fine. Nothing is over the top, but everything is decent and looks and sounds nice. So, nothing wrong here either.
The only negative I can point out is the overall length of the game. It feels a bit too short. At least I wouldn't mind a few more worlds and side stories to solve.
Overall it's solid 7/10. Not an amazing game, but a really solid one and you likely won't regret buying it even for a full price. Well, unless you are stuck at the Funderdome II or final fight attempting to get all achievements. That's your problem. ;) Neither should take more than 1-2 hours, though.
Ah, right, make sure to play it with a controller. It is playable without one, but it feels a lot better with it.
Got the game dirt cheap from a bundle site and expectations were non-existent but i am glad i bought this one as it's worth it's asking price when bought from the store if you are into light hearted games where character learns new tricks along with challenging platforming. Challenge does not go all the way up to Super Meat Boy levels but you do notice that sometimes it would be nice to have floor underneath you as you spend quite a lot of time jumping between walls and trying to reach hard to reach places. Also good luck finding all those upgrade crystals... Some of them are in really nasty places.
Some reviews call the game 'plain'. I disagree. The base game is simple: you have a base where you (should) talk to other characters and learn about them more. Then you have a portal where you choose what level you want to do next. In the levels you collect pieces of evidence until you got enough to go after a boss. Figuring out on your own who the mysterious person X behind all the trouble is a big part of the experience and in the end... well no matter how well you think you got this the solution is a bit of surprise.
So all in all a well designed game with nice graphics most suitable for us filthy casuals who like challenge in platforming but who don't want to completely go all in on difficulty. There is difficulty here all right but the really tough parts are luckily optional.
Okay, this is a platformer game with some fighting elements.
For most part you travel through fairly easy levels and occasionally fight few types of enemies.
I'd say there are several easy and fairly bland levels, few quite fun ones and couple levels where difficulty skyrockets and can destroy all fun.
The game is quite short, plays pretty well and solid but my overall impression that it's slightly unpolished or even rushed for release.
1. I really don't like that upgrades are tied to collectible items. I'm not a big fan of exploring every nook and cranny of every level.
2. Difficulty spikes, especially the "speedrun" slime level.
It was one of very first levels I tried and I greatly disliked this sudden surprise. And especially that the level is designed in a way that a slightest mistake either forces you to repeat or makes rest of the level harder.
3. Not very fun boss fights and you actually have to do them twice.
4. Lame tutorial. "Press fireball button", "Press dodge button".
Like, I played on a controller and I had to press every single button to find out what do they do.
It's shown on the loading screen that controller is recommended but the game doesn't even bothers to show button names to press.
5. Unskippable dialogues in the final part and credits. I though it was a minor detail but doing final part 3rd time for achievements was annoying.
I'd rate it 7/10.
It was fun, I did enjoy some levels.
After getting used to controls and unlocking all the moves the fighting part became fairly fun.
Oh, and I really hate every single yellow [barrier] laser, in some places they easily spoil all the fun.
If it took bit more time to beat the game, I'd start cursing the level designer that made them.
This was a fun little game. Awesome music, solid platforming, great level gimmicks, and a charming cast. It is a little rough around the edges on the animation department, but overall I'm walking away feeling satisfied with the whole package. The game is 5 hours long, but it doesn't overstay its welcome. I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys indie platformers with fair difficulty.

イラストだと少年ぽく見えますが主人公は女の子です。微妙な翻訳ながら日本語もあるしゲーム自体は面白いので不具合さえなければおすすめ。良く出来たアクションゲームでゲームパッド推奨。Twitch版を所有していますがそれに加えてsteam版を手に入れました。セーブデータの場所は共通のようです（ユーザー名\AppData\LocalLow\13AM Games\DoubleCross\DXSave）。steamクラウドに対応しているはずなのに何故か進行状況がクラウドにセーブされていません。
他の方のレビューにあるようにsteam版は何かのきっかけでデータがおかしくなると言語が英語になってしまい、言語の選択肢から日本語が選択出来なくなります。その場合、Twitch版から起動してもやはり英語に変わっていますが、Twitch版なら言語選択から日本語が再び選択出来ます（追記：最近手に入れたitch.io版も日本語に戻せました）。Twitchで日本語化した後はsteam版も日本語に戻ります。右上のバージョン表示はsteam版・Twitch版のどちらもv1.4.0です。steam版は日本語で起動した後にメイン画面から何もいじらず（ゲームも開始せず）終了させても、再度ゲームを起動したら日本語選択不可という状態になっていたりして意味がわかりません。上に書いたセーブデータの場所のDXSaveというファイルを削除すると日本語に戻りますがゲームは最初からやり直しになります。他にウィンドウモードにしていても次の起動ではフルスクリーンだったり、ウィンドウサイズを2560ｘ1440にしていたのに次の起動では1920x1080になっていたりとoption周りの挙動がおかしいです。
解像度問題に関しては掲示板でレジストリを変更する方法が出ていますが私の環境では効果ありませんでした。言語が勝手に変更される問題は過去に英語版がフランス語になる症状が出ていたようですが、それは修正されたらしいです。日本語が勝手に英語に変わる問題は治っていませんね。
Fun little game for children. It's a bit expensive though so get it while on sale.
It's a good introduction to intermediate difficulty 2D platformers with a very cliché family friendly story.
7/10. It's a fine enough game, but there's just so much better out there, especially for a $20 asking price. I can only really recommend this game if you get it on a deep sale. I got the game for $4, and for that price it's certainly worth it.
It kind of plays like a hybrid of [u]Guacamelee![/u] and [u]Grapple Force Rena[/u], except without the depth of either of their core gameplay mechanics. Still, there's an abundance of charm, creative aesthetics, and attention to detail on display here and I can recommend this to anyone who needs something refreshing to pass the time.
A fun side-scroller with some underwhelming combat that is redeemed with its solid platforming, charm, and sense of humor. A very good soundtrack that echoes Capcom or Sega in the PS1/DC era. Got it in a bundle on the cheap and was the standout of the bunch.
Initially, I was really enjoying this game, as a relatively easy action platformer with a quirky personality and sense of humor. I enjoyed the goofiness, even if occasionally it the game sometimes insults your intelligence a bit on the "case."
The control scheme for one of the main abilities feels like it was designed for a single-stick joystick, rather than double-stick joystick. It's regularly a bit of an annoyance, but overall, relatively minor.
So, why am I thumbs downing the game? Because late game, there's a sudden, huge difficulty spike, for no reason - in the context of the game, you're literally playing an in-game game. It completely ruined the game for me, because suddenly I was having to redo the same 15 second sequence like 3000000 times and not making any progress.
Don't bother with this game if you're a story/collectible completionist. If you don't care about getting all the Upgradiums (the only way to level up, and you need all of them to get max level and whatever the secret ending is), you don't have to 'beat' the high score for the aforementioned minigames, just get on the leaderboard.
But, if you want the secret ending, you need to get 1st place on every one of these godforsaken minigames, which the developer has described as "evil." (Yes, they know it's stupidly difficult.)

Was introduced to this game sort of last second, through the release trailer for switch on youtube (only seeing a few screenshots on a gamexplain video a few months prior and thinking Zahra looked cool), Devided to give the game a buy, and I've loved it since. Proton slinger platforming is unique and challenging, the set up of R.I.F.T is very fun and could lend itself to more adventures. The mystery story itself isn't ground breaking revolutionary or complicated stuff but the characters are likeable and most are charming. Very fun aesthetic as well.Hand to combat is simple but enjoyable and the Upgradium elements are a nice way to give power ups and adding a layer of customization. Would absolutely recommend.
Not worth a buy on its own, but really elevates whatever bundle you will find it in.
Cute story. Character designs are charming, somewhere between a cartoon and Way Forward. Levels are well designed, leaves you wanting more.
That being said, fighting has little 'impact' to it, wall jump detection is off, hook mechanic is too iffy for some of the optional challenges that are in the game, as well as a bunch of other minor bugs & gripes.
This game shows a lot of promise, but it feels as though the devs took on too much too soon with this title. Fingers crossed for a Director's Cut or a sequel in a few years.

Le jeu en lui même est très bon avec une difficulté qui monte crescendo
Mais le mega probleme de ce jeu,ce sont les dialogues qui m'ont rendu fou.
Le mode detective avec les indices c'est nul et ça rajoute encore plus de blabla.
C'est simple j'ai fini les 3 stages de la premiere mission et ensuite desinstaller le jeu tellement
il y a de dialogues.
Et puis le gameplay en lui meme ils ont pas chercher bien loin en copiant celui de Guacamelee 2
pour s'aggriper et s'elancer.
Sans les dialogues j'aurai continuer le jeu. Mais là trop c'est trop.
Donc je deconseille ce jeu pour celles et ceux qui en ont rien à battre des blablas.

Controls are tight and customizable (5-button mice are supported), levels are diverse, bosses are reasonably challenging, collectables and optional objectives are presented, the story is interesting and engaging. Хоть русский здесь ещё кривоват, но тексты вроде переведены хорошо и суть приключений ясна. Тут перевод даже адаптировал названия конторки.
В целом неплохой платформер, исследование. Напоминает чем-то Утиные истории. Но тут более масштабно. Так же тут из штаб центра выбираем уровень и мчи на исследование. В каждом уровне также нужно искать скрытые кристаллы. Анимировано неплохо, хоть и подтормаживает в некоторых местах. Контроллер также обнаруживается нормально без глюков и замедлений.
Уровни очень разнообразны, мелодии дополняют происходящее. С персонажами можно общаться и попутно можно выполнять побочки для развития персонажей. У героини куча улучшений, которые также можно выбирать в пределах 3-х.
В общем, хорошее приключение и довольно тяжело оторваться. За персонажами и их историей следить интересно. Даже есть некоторый юмор. Так что рекомендую. Только русский ещё похоже в бете и поэтому на странице не отображается информация о нём.
Из недостатков не везде оптимизирована плавность картинка. Русский шрифт не совсем адаптирован под игру. Кнопки контроллера не отображаются корректно.
All in all, fun for the little while I've played, and hopefully to play more in the future.

There are some things that detract from the game, such as finicky controls (which I quickly rebound), little margin for error in places that rely purely on reaction speed, and a couple instances of eaten inputs (usually in said little-margin-for-error places). The story is essentially nonexistant unless you're really into cliches. The problem solving aspect is either entirely obvious or super easy. But the cool mechanics and cute artstyle have made this game a worthy expedition for the most part.

se nota que el juego tieen mucho amor puesto por parte de la gente que trabajó en él. Es un juego divertido lo que son los escenarios de acción, luego toma mucho de tu tiempo exponiendo la historia a travéz de cuadros de diálogo en tu base donde puedes acceder a tus mejoras, hablar con NPCs, todo ese rollo.
Si lo encuentras en rebaja puedes comprarlo, no es muy caro, te dará al menos 5 horas de juego seguro.
No es un gran reto, ni tampoco es un juego que debes jugar antes de morir, pero es una buena experiencia pasajera.
El apartado gráfico es lo que está más pulido, lo que más resalta.

本作的在人设上有些满满的Cartoon Network旗下角色的味道，浓浓的美漫卡通形象画风。游戏发生在一个多元宇宙的世界，这个世界里有着无数个地铁，于是产生了不少通过时空穿越进行违法活动的罪犯，应对时空穿越的特殊组织也应运而生，本作的女主人公Zahra Sinclair则是这个组织的其中一员。
本作中角色们的动作非常细腻，且动作帧数很足。游戏操作方面，手柄的X为轻攻击，Y为重攻击，两者组合可以打出像“无双”系列那样花样丰富的连续技。通过按下RT按键后选择方向可以如同“蜘蛛侠”吐丝一般射出白色光线拿去物品或者把自己拉过去，游戏中大部分关卡都需要女主角的该能力进行解决。当主角通过流程收集了足够的碎片还可以解锁技能。不过这些技能都是需要花费能量槽的，
女主角可以从npc处获得各种物品的收集任务，然后通过传送机器进入不太空间取得道具交给npc获取对于奖励。游戏中不同关卡回有着不同风格甚至回对主角的解谜方面产生影响。有些关卡回偏向与跳跃，有些关卡回提供胶状物质直接改变地面的弹性。没一大关都会带来不同的新鲜感。
