This games atmosphere is to die for. This is probably one of my favorite games ever,
but for some reason my achievements aren't syncing and I don't know why, if anyone as this problem, please let me know it's not the overlay and I also tried on another device.
Despite being a short and small game it creates a very enjoyable and cozy enviorment that keeps you rather focused on curiosity and experiencing the moment instead of trying to find the end of the game.
I really liked playing it and definitely see myself revisting it in future years just for the vibe, overall I can recommend this if you are a person that finds atmoshphere important.
Otherwise the game has an interesting world setting despite being so small, would love to see more of this world but sadly it looks like this is a stand-alone game created as a passion project and to introduce us KO_OP-mini.
Speaking of KO_OP-mini I do hope to see more KO_OP-mini games as it's very interesting to see the devs make their own ideas besides making the games for KO_OP.

I guess Canada really means it when they say "if we give you money you WILL expose EVERYONE to French" but still a fun quirky game, with some replayability because I swear there's an ARG angle here we haven't even cracked the surface of yet

Beautiful little piece of art, it creates a very nice atmosphere with the stylized graphics and cozy otherworldly music. Hunting around the store for weird and mundane little trinkets is surprisingly satisfying. It's definitely a game that sticks in my memory as a very unique kind of experience. There is an odd joy in perusing items in a tiny convenience store in the middle of the night. The game captures this vibe and blends it with hints of larger mystical world outside the store. It's like a vivid short story that left me wanting more.

I really like this game, i think it's cute and fun. it's short but has a really nice design to it. The artwork is nice, the approach to language is unique with the setting being a french speaking province of Canada. it's simple and a little too short for 5$ if i'm being a little petty, but it's still really cute, with its approach.

Contained and lovely, evocative, I could go around touching things in this store for hours. I don't know how to phrase it, but the way you interact with different things feels really good. Like a poem or a dream. The ending feels a little fast in comparison to the rest, but I guess not everybody is going to be spending hours perusing the posters like I did.

This is a fantastic game, I love the ambiance and the way that it teeters between ominous and soothing. The little bits of worldbuilding make me want more and the character design is really charming. The soundtrack is great too!

This is a very, very short game, unless you want to hunt for achievements. In this virtual gift store, you purchase some items in a single room shop. There's a bit more if you poke around, but the store page untruthfully says 1-2 hours. In fact, it can be leisurely played to completion in ten minutes.

Depanneur Nocturne is a small little game that can be beaten in an hour, it doesn't cost much either. Though i'd say for 5 euros, this was a pretty little game.
You don't really have an objective, you just get to explore and talk to the owner of the shop. She does offer you alot of space to walk around and interact with everything. It is really relaxing being in the shop and checking everything out. What is so precious is that everything you buy in this game, you'll get to demonstrate it to a partner.
It was a nice and smooth experience, a small game with alot of heart to it and i can recommend it to you all. Support KO_OP for the concepts they have provided us so far as they are willing to make the games a great experience.

Super fun sweet little game with just the right amount of kooky.
Exquisite. Beautiful. Immaculate vibes. Both funny and poignant and surreal. And with quite possibly the most subtle, breathtaking trans representation in any medium in the history of the planet. If anything were to turn me into a furry, this would be it. Cannot wait to share it with my own "bichette"!

The surreal late-night ambiance is charming enough, and the store has that dreamy, floating-through-space vibe. But that’s where the magic ends. In under 40 minutes, you're done and not because you solved anything, but because there’s barely anything to do. The single NPC has a voice that grates fast, and most of the experience feels like a half-finished concept rather than a full game. It's quirky, sure… but also kinda pointless.

What YOU Need To Know:
It's late a night, you've wondered out to buy some gifts for your "girl" I presume.
You stumble upon this little shop in a french quarter or city.
You browse the storeshelfs, chat with the owner, a bit. Has to pee, goes on a little sidequest to find the toilet, get's lost in the backrooms of the store, finds your way back after finally finding the toilet, and the owner wants too show you something secret. It's a great little game, very very very atmospheric, aesthetic quite and well made. Short, but good.

The game is easy to play and finished within 1 hour if you are going for all achievements.
During the game you will explore an interesting location while talking with the sales lady and trying to find that gift!
I didnt expect much, but I really enjoyed what I played.
It is rather short however. so, keep that in mind when you might buy it for full price.
I however love shorter games as it feels way easier to finish!

I love this little game very much. It charmed me from the moment I opened the settings menu, where I was delighted to learn that the game’s three graphics settings are “Potato, Fries, and Poutine.” This cute, clever framing of visual quality speaks to the quirky fun that the rest of the game will bring, and I think it’s great that the devs signpost the sort of game you’re getting yourself into right off the bat.
The premise of the game is relatively simple: you want to buy something nice for your significant other, so you head out shopping. A local convenience store is the only place open, so you head in and start to peruse the odds and ends for sale within. When you’re happy with your purchases, you check out, return home, and see their reactions to the gifts you’ve brought back.
Probably the most unique feature of this game is that it’s fully bilingual. For one, every menu option is written both in French and in English. More impressive than that, most of the game’s text is delivered through conversations between the protagonist and the owner of the dépanneur you’re visiting, a woman named Eugénie, and this too can be delivered in either French or English, at the player’s discretion.
When you first enter her store, she says “Bonsoir!” You’re given two options to reply: a “bonsoir” of your own, or the English equivalent, “good evening!” Eugénie will reply to your greeting in whichever language you choose, and keep chatting with you in that language – unless, that is, you ask her if she speaks the other language. So if you walked in and said “bonsoir!” and then you decide you’d actually prefer to speak in English, you can ask “Sorry, do you speak English?” and Eugénie will switch to English, no questions asked. Then, if you want to switch back to French later on, you can do that too. It’s an incredibly cool feature, one I’ve personally never experienced in any other game, and it’s a smart way to tell the player something about the world they’re exploring, i.e. the dominant languages in the space you’re exploring. It adds a very rich layer to an already excellent game.
In truth, I'm not sure I have anything to criticize here – in every regard, Dépanneur Nocturne is a tremendous experience. The graphics are lovely, with a very strong aesthetic that colors this game’s re-imagination of Québec in a gorgeous blue palette. Indeed, it’s clear the developers put a fair amount of thought into the world they’ve set their game in, and all of its little oddities that set it apart from our own reality. They never dump excess information on the player, burdening the experience with novels of lore, but it’s clear that there’s a story behind every object in Eugénie’s store, and we’re left to imagine all the other stories that make up this world that we’ll never get to hear.
The sound design is nice. The game opens with the pitter-patter of rain on pavement, and ambient noises like these fill out your time in the rest of the game, too. Speaking characters vocalize strange little nonsense noises, in the same way Animal Crossing villagers do, which is cute. The dialogue between you and Eugénie is also great, featuring all sorts of odd and cryptic remarks that, again, speak to how much wider this game’s world is, and how many things it’s got going on outside of the little store we get to explore. That store, of course, is a delight to spend time in – the strange things Eugénie has for sale are a fun menagerie of bits and bobs, and she has an interesting story to share about even the most mundane of the bunch.
The game’s got a remarkable amount of replay value, too. I first played this game about a year ago at the time of writing, and when I realized today that I had never written a review for a game I love so much, I decided I wanted to fix that. To refresh myself before writing this, I booted it up again, and spent a nice half hour or so revisiting the strange and charming world the game immerses you in. In doing so, I didn’t even get to large portions of content that I’d played before – there are multiple hidden areas to explore, and there are all sorts of little secrets within the main portion of the store even if you don’t go exploring too much. There are still other achievements for me to unlock, and other things for me to do, and you really wouldn’t expect that from a game as seemingly small as this one.
If you’re looking at this game, and you think you’d like it, I’d really encourage you to pick it up. It’s a game that’s stuck with me far longer than I’d ever expected to, and one I know I’ll remember for years to come.
It's rare to come across a bite-sized indie game that captivates its players so well. Depanneur Nocturne is a prime example though.
Depanneur Nocturne means 'night convenience store', if I'm not mistaken. You go out into the streets at night and make your way to your local depanneur to get a present for your beloved bichette (doe) (yes, you're a stag) who awaits your return back home. This depanneur in particular has an array of wares for your perusal and purchase, as well as a friendly proprietor who is ready to answer your questions (and let you use the bathroom in-store, if you're in need). Gold coins linger everywhere in the game which you can spend at the gacha machine in-game ([spoiler]or if you're lucky/enjoy uncovering secrets, a soda machine which changes up the entire game's colour palette depending on which sodas you choose[/spoiler]) There are bottles of mushroom milk, radishes home to little ghosts, and an underground collection of curated magical items one of which you can choose to get for your bichette, instead of a regular old DVD. It is up to you to choose, as you know your beloved best, after all. Did I also mention you can make cups of coffee AND pet a magical cat?
I ADORE Depanneur Nocturne's vibe. It's gothic and colourful but also not creepy or eerie in any way. I love how there's so many little things in the game including the gacha capsules, the teleport-y cat, the [spoiler]soda machine downstairs[/spoiler], the proprietor being a witch/keen in the arts of divination (I felt a burst of immense joy when I learnt that in the game world, there are a whole species of beings like her who dedicate themselves to learning about the spiritual arts), the [spoiler]radish and the consequent exorcism you can perform if you so wish (it was such a weird but nice touch!)[/spoiler], the protagonist being a stag (I LOVE DEER!), the several deities and their corresponding magical items you can purchase, the individual dialogue/text you get from your bichette depending on what you bring home to her, the [spoiler]crowbar (?!)[/spoiler] and so much more!
I haven't come across such a delightful tidbit of a game in a while. Depanneur Nocturne is the kind of game you can open up and let run in the background to enjoy its vibes while doing something else. The devs even touched up the game just so people who want to do that, can. The music is pretty chill too. I give it a whopping 10/10.

This is an extremely cute and very short game about buying a gift for the person you love. There's a surprising amount of depth to the petit store you wander into late at night, and the vibes are outstanding. Bonus points for the English/French language option being integrated into the dialogue, I thought that was a really clever way to incorporate game mechanics into the setting of Montreal.
A cozy game that's [i]actually[/i] cozy for real.
The visuals are so unique, it's like walking through a hazy dream. It's complemented by simple but effective audio and good background music. You can get through all of the game's achievements in less than an hour if you really want to, but if you want to take your time to soak in the environment, explore for secrets, or fiddle with different interactions and items, you can do that too. It's a game that invites you to chill out and take things slow, and it's really good at it.
Also, you can pet a cat, and there's a Halloween mode, so that's two big bonuses for me.
My only complaint is that in some areas, the came seems to force you to look in certain directions for no reason and it disoriented me a few times, but other than that, there's nothing so bad as to dampen the overall experience.

Very interesting game where you walk around a store, picking different items to purchase, which form a really strange combination.
The aesthetic is mysterious but soothing at the same time, weirdly relaxing. The whole vibe feels ominous, and when invited to an area by the shopkeeper I looked at a wall of photos and was sure I was going to die.
Nothing of the sort happens. The shopkeeper is very polite and friendly, unless you act unruly (which is very understandable). The game has an occult theme, and the shopkeep uses her skill for you to find what you were meant to buy.
The music and sound atmosphere complement very well the setting.
You can also pet a cat, which is an instant approval from me.
Very recommended to relax and spend a good and mysterious time.

A very interesting game, the developers have not yet released volcano high at the moment, but I have already imbued with them, worthy of the game of the year. I hope the developers will not throw sanctions into my country and I will be happy to buy volcano high. I hope in the future from the developers to see the continuation of this game or a game in the same setting, but much longer, since I passed the game with all the achvkami in 4 hours without prompting

It is a really weird game I fell in love with. What made me fall in love with it is that it satisfies a very specific itch I have for experimental games that are actually... casual and comfortable and funny. There is no like wild twist or super complicated metaphor, it just gamefies a really comfortable experience, and creates a duality with a super day-to-day normal experience with some surrealistic flavors. It expands the borders of what we usually play, not to revolutionize the game/art world or for a powerful critique, just because it is fun in a completely different way. I am so in love with it, and I hope to find more games like this. It is one of my favorite things I found on Steam for sure.

Otherworldly yet particularly home-y, a quick trip to this corner store to pick up odds and ends feels like a departure to a universe a bit more peculiar then my own. The world building featured in the history of the space and the objects within the shop help make this a unique experience for a sweet game. I wish I could explore an entire world set within this realm!
Le jeu se passe dans une boutique qui se nomme un dépanneur, boutiques qui existent au Québec et qui sont ouvertes jusqu'à tard dans la nuit.
Le but est de trouver un cadeau à votre petit amie, pour se faire vous pouvez intéragir avec tout un tas d'objets, demander à la vendeuse qui se trouve derrière le comptoir l'histoire du dit objet, ou tout simplement en apprendre un peu plus sur elle, ou sa boutique.
En conclusion un petit jeu ma foi sympathique, chill, qui m'a passé ma fin d'après-midi.

It's a small, moody and charismatic "walking sim". Pour some tea and play it, it's pretty chill.
Essentially a strange, almost surreal walking simulator with plenty of objects to find/interact with, and odd little nooks and crannies to explore in a small, fantastical depanneur in some un-named Quebec town/city. The dialogue is either in English or Quebecois, depending on which dialogue toggle you select during the game. The graphics are low-poly, but pleasant enough, and the music is simple but chill and highly appropriate.
It's ultimately a highly entertaining slice of the fantastique.....but beware that unless you consult a walkthrough, you'll probably have to play through it a bunch of times to get all the achievements, and that will end up feeling VERY repetitive.
Recommended.

Dépanneur Nocturne é um jogo indie de exploração curta que possui uma pequena pegada casual onde a bichette do personagem está esperando em casa e está desejando a trazer algo especial para ela e é onde o pequeno Dépanneur está numa rua lateral ainda estar aberto e é a última chance de escolher um presente ou vários presentes para pode dar. Então como dito compramos e exploramos no próprio ritmo, descobrimos novos segredos quanto mais tempo a gente fica no local explorando o dep descobrimos lugares secretos da loja, um mini museu, interações com os objetos, podemos comer, beber, podemos escolher quantos presentes que o coração desejar e o orçamento não é uma preocupação nesse jogo rs. É legalzinho pra passar o tempo, as cores do jogo que modifica quando se bebe uma bebida achei a paleta bem bonita e por está em dia chuvoso que amo demais. Apesar de não ser meu gosto de jogo achei bom pra distrair.

Le but de la soirée : trouver le cadeau idéal dans la seule épicerie du coin encore ouverte tardivement. Il y a un nombre limité d'objets qu'on peut rapporter, et chacun offre quelques lignes de dialogue. L'ambiance fait un peu fllm noir (il pleut, c'est la nuit, une petite musique d'ambiance...) mais dans des tons bleus/roses délavés, c'est cozy.
Il y a pas mal d'objets et petits secrets à découvrir, on peut refaire le jeu plusieurs fois pour tous les trouver. Même en trouvant tout, le jeu reste court. C'est adapté au gameplay, plus long et ça aurait probablement été lourd.
J'ai rarement joué à des jeux écrits en québécois, ça change :).
Le seul point négatif est technique, il est impossible de reconfigurer les touches... :(. Et le motion smoothing est insupportable, mais heureusement désactivable dans les options.

Si la plupart des achievements sont évidents rien qu'en regardant le nom où en essayant la plupart des interactions évidentes qu'offre le jeu, il y en a un ou deux qui sont un peu plus obscurs. Au pire, prenez un guide pour ceux là.

Le jeu tourne au poil, je n'ai rencontré aucun problème. Il n'est pas possible de reconfigurer les touches, heureusement le jeu accepte les agencements de clavier personnalisés. Si vous en avez déjà un pour le genre (première personne limité au qwerty), ça ira, sinon il pourra être intéressant d'en configurer un qui vous convienne pour ce genre de situation.

구석진 곳의 구멍가게에서 연인을 위해 선물을 사는 이야기
애인을 위해 선물을 사려 하지만 정작 무엇을 살지 모르는 주인공이, 거리를 걷다가 우연히 눈에 들어온 작은 구멍가게를 방문하게 되고 이 가게에서 이색적인 선물을 사게 되는 이야기를 다루고 있다. 대략 20분 ~ 1시간 동안 가게 안 물건을 살펴보며 가게 주인과 대화를 나누거나, 바닥에 "실수로" 물건을 떨구면서 주인의 잔소리를 듣거나, 화장실을 가겠다고 빌고 빌어댄 결과 가게의 지하로 내려갈 기회를 얻거나, 눈에 보이는 선물들이 마음에 들지 않아 뭔가 더 특별한 걸 요구하거나 등등 사실상 플레이어가 얼마나 구석구석 탐방하며 이것저것 시도하냐에 따라 플레이타임이 길어지는 형태의 게임플레이 - 즉 호기심을 가지고 들쑤실수록, 대략적으로 눈에 보이던 것보다 게임 내 살펴볼 것이 많은, 탐험이 중심이 되는 게임이다. 스팀 설명란에도 써 있듯이 플레이타임이 매우 길지는 않지만, 다양한 상호작용 및 오브젝트에는 개발자의 관심 및 개성이 충분히 담겨 있다. 선물로 사 갈 물건을 주인에게 보여주면 이에 담긴 이야기를 풀어 주는 부분, 게임 시작 시 언어를 고를 때 딱딱하게 언어 설정으로 고르는 게 아닌 주인과 대화를 하며 자연스럽게 언어를 고르는 부분, 선물을 골라서 애인에게 가져다 준 후 나오는 대화 등등 - 그저 무개성한 게임으로 출시되었을 수 있었음에도 불구하고 게임 곳곳에 몰입감을 고조시키는 부분들이 갖추어졌다.
다만, 게임의 개성은 충분히 갖추어졌음에도 불구하고, 과연 이 게임을 추천할 수 있냐라고 물어본다면 개인적으로는 애매하다고 생각한다. 왜냐하면, 구멍가게 안을 이곳저곳 뒤져본다는 게임플레이는 잘 갖추어졌으나 시각적 및 스토리적 즐거움은 이에 미치지 못했기 때문이다. 일단, 비주얼의 경우 크게 특별할 것이 없으며, 색감을 제외하고는 두드러지는 부분이 없었고, 게임 내 오보젝트들이나 구멍가게의 내부 또한 눈을 끌 정도로 독특하다는 생각이 들지 않았다. (다만, 이 경우는 플레이어에 따라 내가 쓴 것과 반대로, 비주얼이 충분히 독특하다고 느낄 수 있는 개인차가 존재할 수는 있다.) 스토리의 경우는 가게에서 선물을 고르고 애인에게 준다는 게 다인데, 물론 짧은 탐험 게임에 방대한 스토리가 필요하다는 생각은 들지 않으나, "이색적인 분위기를 풍기고 몇몇 물건 또한 이색적인 공간에서 구해왔다는 느낌이 드는 구멍가게" 에 대한 몰입을 고조시킬 만한 정보를 충분히 흘려주지 않고, 그렇다고 구멍가게에 굴러다니는 물건들에 대한 관심이 강하게 끌려서 이 물건 저 물건을 들쑤시는 행동에 대한 동기가 자연스럽게 들 정도로 가게 내부의 이야기가 막대한 관심을 불러일으키지는 않는다. 즉, 탐험 정신이 강하거나 그냥 가게 내부의 고요한 분위기를 즐기러 오지 않은 이상은 이 게임에 대한 끌림이 생각보다 크지 않아서 게임플레이에 실망감을 느낄 수 있다고 생각한다.
결론적으로, 잔잔한 탐험 위주의 게임을 즐기고 싶은 사람들에게는 추천하지만, 너무 큰 기대를 하지 말고 말 그대로 잔잔한 마음가짐을 가지고 가볍게 하는 걸 권장한다. 또한, 플레이타임이 그리 긴 게임은 아니라 정가에 사는 건 비추천하고 어느 정도 할인을 할 때 사는 걸 추천한다.
여담) 게임 설명에 "single-sitting game" 이라 적혀 있듯이, 게임을 시작한 이상 한 번에 엔딩을 보는 걸 권장한다.
