You'll probably need to play the game more than once to grab all of the achievements & collectibles, but luckily it's really not a big deal since its such a well made game.

Developed by Tuttifrutti Interactive—a proudly awarded Indian indie team with a diverse crew—this game puts you in the shoes of a mother, who goes out of her way in a fantasy-ridden rescue mission for her daughter. The narrative begins with a kidnapping during a vacation and slowly unfolds into a richer story with twists, blending hindi folklores with light emotional weight.

As a Hidden Object Adventure (HOG), it offers more than just scavenger hunts. The game mixes traditional item searches with inventive puzzles and interactive object sequences, keeping gameplay brisk and varied. While some mechanics feel familiar, the clever design choices keep the challenge engaging throughout.

Visuals aim for a semi-realistic style, and while the character depiction can dip into uncanny valley territory (which may turn away some gamers), the overall art direction is solid. Even though I am personally not familiar with the HOG standards, I believe a higher-res remaster could elevate it further for the gaming market and community. Voice acting ranges from decent to slightly awkward, but the subdued soundtrack and ambient effects help build an immersive mood in its genre style. Replay rewards encourage speed and self-reliance, like achievements for solving puzzles without assistance or doing it fast enough.

Tuttifrutti Interactive is a fresh indie dev team with only Darkarta to boot (with an elaborate description and numerous accolades to go for), so I approached with a slight scepticism and tried the demo. I am happy that my doubts were proven wrong, as they gifted me their game to play through and see for what it is. News are that they have a sequel at work, so I hope that their reputation and ambitions allow for even bolder future releases.

I forgot why I had stopped playing this one so many years ago, only to reinstall and in barely 20min remembered why...
The game has serious issues with registering clicks, it constantly sends you out of puzzle and hop screens. Interactable zones are never clear, and the design is horridly obtuse.
Oh it has all the features of a HOPA, like fast travel, collectible objects, a hackneyed cliche story of love, of course its the cloyingly sweet kind of save the innocent baby... (honestly this is not a fault of this game as the genre is rife with such saccharine stories) but it is made insufferable due to the poor mechanics.

I had this game for a long time on my wishlist. This because I like hidden object games but this game is more than just an hidden object game. Thanks to the dev I had the opportunity to play it earlier than I expected.

Do you like hidden object games with a good story than this is a must play! A very well made game.

I love that there is a decent story throughout the whole hidden object game with well made cutscenes (You can't compare it with AAA company cutscenes of course but for an indie developer very well made). I haven't finished the complete game yet (haven't found the time yet since I want to play the game for a longer session to get sunk in) so I'll update this review when I finished the complete game. I also bought the original game to support the developer and i'm certainly looking forward to more games of this developer.

Обзор игры в жанре поиск предметов — это дело сложное и неблагодарное. Представители жанра, как правило, имеют номинальный сюжет и сводятся к поиску рисунка свиньи в шляпе где-то среди кучи стоковых фото на захваченном гигантскими пауками чердаке. Но Darkarta — это особый случай. Разберем ее по пунктам.
1) Игра скорее Point & Click c элементами поиска предметов. Игроку (почти) всегда ясно поставлены задачи, активные зоны отмечены и перестают быть активны после завершения на них всего необходимого. Даже бектрекинга с внезапно появляющимися на локации предметами нет. Для удобства даже карта с фаст тревелом есть, отмечающая есть ли на локации еще что-то, что можно сделать. Благодаря такому подходу темп игры практически не проседает и не скатывается в поиск непонятно чего и непонятно зачем.
2) Тем не менее, классический геймплей для жанра тоже присутствует на небольших экранах. Там уже нужно перебрать кучу хлама, чтобы игроку дали какой-нибудь гвоздь. Понимая спорность данного решения, разработчик предоставил не менее спорную альтернативу — три-в-ряд. Да, если не желания выискивать очередное нечто, можно просто подвигать цветные камешки. Спасибо, наверное.
3) Также игру призваны разнообразить различные головоломки, большую часть из которых действительно весело проходить. В меньшую часть, к сожалению, входит несколько (!) пятнашек, а так же парочка задачек, решаемых методом тыка, либо страдающих от сбивающей с толку постановки. Причем все они идут подряд, чтобы жизнь медом не казалась. Благо каждую головоломку можно пропустить.
4) В игре большой акцент на сюжете, но сам он чертовски странный. История о вызволении похищенной дочери быстро превращается в индусскую драму со всеми присутствующими ей поворотами. Написано все это дело смешно и даже увлекательно, но не складывается в цельный сюжет. Подробнее под спойлером: [spoiler]Принц попросил у короля соседнего клана руку его дочери, на что тот кинул ее умирать в ужасной тюрьме (потому что он расист, это каноничное объяснение), принц ее спас, но стал жертвой мести его кукнутой невесты (реинкарнацией которой главная героиня и является). Месть ее была страшна: сначала заставила его настоящую любовь бежать за волшебным кроликом (не спрашивайте, я без идей), чтобы, приняв ее облик, сломать защитный артефакт из слез его матери, дающий ему неуязвимость, чтобы его поймали и съели орлы. Вернувшаяся же после кролика девушка выкрала запретные заклинания бессмертия, использовала их на любимом, а сама стала получила проклятие вечного пламени. Из-за чего теперь принц стал адептом темных искусств, чтобы спасти любимую, а с отомстившей невестой случилось… А черт его знает, ее прокляла мать принца и именно поэтому в новой жизни она настрадалась. И именно поэтому душу ее дочери хотят использовать для воскрешения вечно горящей принцессы, пока этому способствует ее отец руками какой-то ведьмы (да, тот самый расист, который ее умирать оставил и который непонятно как жив на момент событий игры). А в конце оказывается, что наставник этих придурков достиг нирваны и может верхом на крылатом мамонте всех воскресить, но был слишком занят, столетиями воздвигая дворец, который по итогу в маразме бегает и ломает. Это реальный сюжет. Если хотите посмеяться — отличный вариант. [/spoiler]
5) Есть коллекционные предметы, раскрывающие отношения главной героини со своей дочерью, что отличное решение, помогающее углубить персонажа, который напрямую не присутствует в сюжете. А есть коллекционные предметы, которые просто статуи орлов, появления которых еще и дождаться нужно на экране. Они ничего не делают.
6) Присутствует несколько уровней сложности и система подсказок, чтобы любому игроку было комфортно, здорово.
7) Есть дневник, в который героиня записывает свои мысли, но по факту он выполняет эту функцию только в начале, становясь затем просто дословным пересказом произошедших событий.
8) В русской локализации хватает опечаток и комичных решений касательно перевода, но зная обычное качество перевода в жанре — приемлемо.
Итог: Darkarta (или же Темнискус в русской локализации) — удивительно комфортная и дружелюбная игра, но столь же удивительно абсурдная. Соскучились по жанру? Отличный вариант!

谢谢开发者赠送的游戏，好些年没玩过这类冒险解谜游戏了，游戏体量不大，类似密室逃脱，是一个关于转世和救赎的故事，玩到中途会有反转，不知道是不是多结局，我有一个鹰雕像（提示：所有蛇雕像会在鹰叫的时候变成鹰，千万别错过）的收藏没完成，结局不怎么圆满……
谜题设计难度不高，而且没有特别反逻辑的，同时还有相当于官方攻略的向导和可消耗资源的提示，只要不放弃思考就不会卡。游戏美术是这类游戏的强项，这个游戏也在水准线上。
缺点是没中文，不过游戏文本量不大，英文文本也还算简单，个人感觉高中词汇量就能看懂故事了~就算看不懂也不是很影响解谜就是了（图像叙事很直观）...

Let me preface this review by saying I was offered a free key from the developers to write this review. I would say it is above average for a puzzle game / hidden object game. This genre is not my favorite, but I still played this game for a few hours to make this review. Some of the pros. are that the game has a decent soundtrack and voice acting. Some of the cons. are that some puzzles are very long and infuriating. I didn't finish the game, but I will conclude my review by saying that if you enjoy this genre of game, you may also enjoy this game.

Довольно годная игра. Красивые задники. большое количество РАЗНООБРАЗНЫХ головоломок. сцен чисто поиска предметов по списку крайне мало. из минусов стоит отметить ужасные лица, особенно лицо ребенка. Зловещая долина во всей красе. в остальном игра приятная. Сцены нарисованы просто моё почтение. Яркие, красивые. Интерактивные объекты отлично вписаны в окружение. Музыка и звуки не сказать что бы вау, но по крайней мере не надоедают сильно и не раздражают. Сюжет довольно посредственный, но в таких играх он редко бывает хоть сколько нибудь интересным. Больше всего порадовало что головоломки разнообразные, и понятно по каким правилам решать, но надо подумать что бы решить.

This is not a game. It's a cheap Indian B-movie filled with nonsense and unnecessary drama.

The plot is non-existent. The characters can be used as an illustration on Wikipedia for the article about the uncanny valley effect. And why — WHY?! — make a great deal of cinematics if you suck both in writing and art? No idea.

So, what the game is all about? A mother is trying to save her really ugly child which was kidnapped by some evil guy Darkarta who wants to use an innocent soul to bring his beloved (who sacrificed herself to grant him immortality) back from the dead. Although she's not dead. What? Yes. And while he can use any innocent soul, he waits for centuries to get this particular child because the protagonist is the reincarnation of the woman who betrayed him. He really needed to close that gestalt, I reckon.

But once the child is kidnapped, the evil guy disappears. Instead, there's an evil woman trying to prevent your rescue mission. I guess she's mother of the evil guy but I am not sure as she looks completely different in cinematics. Also, she should be dead as a doornail as she committed suicide by falling from a cliff — again, centuries ago. Whatever. Anyways, she's a mage and can obviously zap you into oblivion but prefer to make stupid walls or destroy bridges on your way which can be surpassed within a minute because puzzles in the game are easy and not very challenging. Maybe she's just not a very competent villain but lets cut her some slack, she makes way more trouble than any regular dead woman.

There are other characters, by the way. But since I have no idea who are they and what their purpose for the story, let's just say there are an old Hindu guy who disappears with your wounded husband, some kind of shaman dressed as a circus freak and a chained maid punished by her mistress, the ought-to-be-dead evil woman, for some role she played in the story which happened thousand years ago. And I wonder, o mighty Vishnu, how many more people were bestowed with immortality for no reason? More importantly, why? The gal is useless for the story and was needed just to give you a pendant which leads you to an awful but unique cinematic.

A unique cinematic? Yes, because most of cinematics are basically the same. It's either an ugly crying Chucky-like girl saying 'Mommy, where are you?' or the protagonist falling from every cliff she finds, stupidly wavering with her hands. And all of these happens to distract you from really uninspiring puzzles with unclear goals and abysmal connection between them. Not to mention that sometimes you just get a whole new useless location with another er... character? A f★cking tree which attacks you for no reason and then let you go for no reason. I am pretty sure this is some kind of Harry Potter game because they got their own Whomping Willow and some writings on the wall are made with HARRY POTTER FONT, damn it! Tell me about immersion.

And the ending... You find the 'dead' girl, the one Darkarta wants to resurrect, in some kind of a fish tank. To learn that the girl is pretty much alive and can even speak. Then the evil b★tch shows up and almost throw the protagonist off another cliff but she is saved by Darkarta himself. And his 'dead' beloved casts a spell which destroys the witch. So, the child is saved with no help from the protagonist but the evil guy all of a sudden turns out to be a schizophrenic, changing his mind completely within seconds from 'I'm gonna kill the girl' to 'No, I can't do that'. Why the hell did you lure them back to India and kidnapped the child, damn it? Why helped the mother? He cries, 'How can I save my beloved now?' Save from what? She's not dead! But the protagonist be like: 'There's only way to stop the curse, I have to die. Yes, I am abandoning my child, also she should watch my death'. And then you get the luxury to see another cinematic of that stupid b★tch falling from the cliff. The evil guy's beloved SOMEHOW is freed by that act of stupidity, and they tell the little girl that her mother is not dead as there's a bonus chapter. Which I refuse to play because I had enough.

Honestly, I love these kind of puzzle games, I really do. But this game fails both as a game and a technical product because there's no way you can take these stupid facial animations and scary moving faces on trees made with twisted PNGs serious. Thus, if you want a quality, go play Artifex Mundi's games. And if you crave some Indian vibes, 'Seeta and Geeta' is available on YouTube.

Great adventure game with fun puzzles and very little classic HOG elements.

The story begins with a family taking a boat trip. Suddenly, a storm hits, sending the woman and her husband to an island. Their daughter is nowhere to be discovered, but an elderly man on the beach claims this was the work of Darkarta.

The goal is to move between areas, look for useful items, and use them in the appropriate places. Your mouse cursor changes to assist you. So there is a hand for picking things up, a magnifying glass for a closer look, and a cog that indicates the need to use an item.

The game is similar to adventure games. Although there are still HOG scenes, they are far more enjoyable because they rarely need you to search for objects on a list. Typically, you must search for items that match an outline and use them in the same scene. A helpful map allows you to quickly navigate and see which scenes contain your current objectives.

Items are kept in your inventory. To use an item, you simply click on it and then select the appropriate location. Everything makes sense so there are no unusual solutions. Sometimes an object can be examined more closely or joined with another; such items contain a plus sign. Close-up scenes have a helpful feature: once you have done everything you can with them, they can no longer be interacted with.

Puzzles are an important aspect of these games, and there are many of them. What is remarkable is that it avoids jigsaw, color-matching, and memory problems, which have been overused in this genre. Each puzzle is unique, employing a variety of mechanics.

Collectibles include morphing and memory objects. There is one on nearly every scene, sometimes even on close-up scene. The morphing object varies between two shapes, snake and eagle, making it easy to spot if you keep your eyes open, but the memory object may be more difficult to find. However, because there is no penalty for clicking across the scene, you can simply click until you discover it.

Difficulty options allow everyone to play the game based on their skill and available time. You can choose easy, which highlights hotspots with sparkles and allows you to use tips faster, or hard, which removes the sparkles and requires you to sweep the screen for hotspots. There is also a custom setting that allows you to specify which features to enable. If you get stuck somewhere, there is a really handy guide with clear images that will show you exactly where to go or what to do.

Achievements are enjoyable and will reward people who take the effort to play without hints and observe scenes. However, you might have to beat the game at least twice because some achievements don’t work together. For example, you need to watch all cutscenes and never skip, but this makes the speedrunning achievement impossible to obtain.

I enjoy these types of games and this one is as good as any others I've played. Most of the puzzles are not too hard but there is always the guide and hint button if you really need it. I do recommend it but not at full price as most of these are too expensive or maybe I'm cheap. Who knows?

Если бы Александр Невский (в девичестве Курицын) делал игры, то это была бы она.
Пафосные речи на фоне пафосной музыки. Главная героиня с девизом «Слабоумие и отвага». Сюжет – детский лепет, хоть и задумка интересная. Лица, анимации – эффект зловещей долины. Перевод местами кривой, но это норма для таких игр. Головоломки простые, как 5 копеек.
Лицам с эпилепсией с осторожностью играть – здесь изобилие вспышек.
Единственный плюс – красочно, ярко.
Если уж сильно хочется, то брать по суперскидки, а так – да ну на][ep, есть куда более интересные и не такие кринжовые игры.

A bit much whining by the child every time but otherwise an excellent HOG. With a variety of puzzles including HOG's (the HOG's with text beneath them are my favorites). Beautiful artwork and nice music. As with most HOGS the puzzles are fairly easy and I finished the game including the bonus chapter (it has that too) in 13 hours or so. It has those objects that fade in and out that you might want to find as a side quest.

I love a good HOG (Hidden Object Game) or HOPA! Real good story with Indian storytelling and settings in India! The puzzles are good and fun and the art work and animations are done real good. Almost on Par with Artifex Mundi's HOG's. I say give this one a try if you love HOGs as much as I do.

Hallo liebe Community,
das Game ist ein ganz, ganz wilder Trip. Hab mich gefühlt wie auf Pilzen... Ich hab das Spiel durch ein Bonuscode stark reduziert bekommen und dachte mir, komm warum nich. Ja also hab ich das Game in gut 4 Stunden mit nem Kollegen durchgespielt. Fazit:

Pretty good HOG. Decent story although I skipped through some of the sappy cut scenes. Easy to medium puzzles. A few items hard to find and I used hints which I rarely do. A few annoying errors, like when your inventory is empty, the "no items in inventory" stays when you're searching for HO and it covers some of the words you are looking for. I'd give it a 3.5. Don't play full price. On sale it's worth it. Pretty long and a bonus chapter.

Darkarta will get a thumbs up from me.
Seems like its the first game from this dev and i think for his first project this HOG game is quite good and deserves a postive review, tho not everything was perfect.

The story takes place in a kind of mythological realm and is about a mother searching for her little daughter who was kidnapped and our job is to find and rescue her.

Overall i liked the story and also the ending was quite good.
Music and voice acting was ok for me, tho i didnt like the one from the child, which was a bit annoying.
There is a dairy where you can read about all the stuff which happend during your journey which i liked and there is also a description for all chars you have met.
After finishing the game a bonus chapter unlocks which is short, but also enjoyable.
Also pretty cool compared to some other HOG games i have played is that you can use fast travel instead of endless backtracking.

I really liked the variety of the puzzles. There are less classic hidden object scenes than i have encoutered in other HOG titles, but still enough in my opinion. Instead there are a lot of different puzzles to solve.
It could be maybe a little bit more difficult, but i was satisfied overall.

On the other hand there are also some issues which were quite annoying, for example it was hard to read the decription of a puzzle. cuz it was 'blocked' in most cases by the info that 'you dont have any items in your inventory'
Also during puzzles some objects you wanted to click on were just at the edge of the scene and cuz of this i left puzzles by accident few times.

The game crashed for me 2 times. Once at the end of a cutscene and the other time while clicking on my collectibles. Luckily i didnt lose any progress cuz of this and just had to reopen the game and was able to continue from where i was before the crash.

I wouldnt recommend to play in german language if its ok for you to play in english, cuz the german translation is not the best. Its still possible to understand everything and most important - while playing the hidden object puzzles all names of the objects are correct.
It was only kind of annoying while reading letters, diaries etc.

I didnt get all the achievements yet (need 3 more) but seems like they working fine.
Its also nice that if you wanna go for 100% in a 2nd playthrough its possible to skip the movies/cutscenes and also the dialogues.

In my opinion its not a perfect, but still quite good HOG game which i enjoyed to play and i think those who like these kind of games will enjoy it as well!

Overall, this one was great. The hidden object puzzles are beautiful and well put together. Lots of satisfying things to click, buttons and such. I love having collectibles marked on the map (dunno how I managed to miss one anyway). I have a particular fondness for actually keeping handy items for several uses! This is also the first time I've had the main character's actual body as a block in the path. And there were parts of the plot that were very poignant (snuggling a chalk drawing! oh gosh). Also, it might just be me, but I enjoyed it too much every time she flailed her hands.

Only minor issues. Several achievements didn't unlock in spite of me doing them right, so it's good I don't care about achievements. The "no items in inventory" line blocks other important text sometimes! One hidden object puzzle (a cobra god head) didn't do anything on completion? Maybe I blinked and missed it, but it was confusing. The girl's voice was overwrought and glurgy, even for me, and I love the overacting in these games. Her smile was also terrifying in a completely unintentional way.

It is really hard to decide to recommend or not because it has some great points I would love to have in other HOG but has a lot of bad things as well. I wish you could give mixed but sadly this is not possible.

[*]The HO: The HO scences are a mixed bag. The look is like nearly everything in this game just gorgeous but also with some problems. A lot of items are either at the edge. I often moved out of it when I tried to click an item on the edge and some even where close to the "HINT" button. The interaction was also sometimes weird while I often clicked on thngs it didnt register the one I wanted but another one.

[*]Difficulty: HO & Puzzles are really mixed. Nearly every HO was easy and not hard to find but like mentioned often on the edge or cut off. The Puzzles where either really easy or just annoying but most of the time you could just reset them if you made a mistake which was great.

[*]Voice Acting: I enjoyed most the voices except the child one which was most of the time only annoying. A lot of HOG I played involved children but they never annoyed me or hurt in my ears like this one.

[*]Skip option: I am thankful we have the option to skip MOST of the cutscence/movies but sadly not all of them. Often I had to hear the child scream an I wasnt able to skip it even on my second playtrough.

[*]Story: The story is also neither bad or good. The idea behind it is great as well as the flow of it. The mixture of movies hearing and the memories was also a great addition but the ending kind of ruinied it for me.

[*]Bonus Chapter : I am glad we got one because otherwhise the story would have ended with a bad undeserved end. It is really short and only gives us closure and a few minutes gametime to revive the main character so no "BAD END" is happening.

[*]Map: I would have loved to put the map into the GOOD section but sadly I cant. You can fast travel which is just great becaue in a lot of HOG you have to walk trough a lot of unnecessary places to get to the one you can and want to do something. I played the game 4 times. Once on normal and than on expert and on my second playtrough it didnt show me anything on it anymore. I couldnt see where I could so stuff after the first act and couldnt see any collections on the map which I was able to on the normal one. The "able to do" not visible makes a little sense but not showing collecables is just bad and I had to use an online guide to not miss them without trying to find them myself. Also even on normal it often didnt show me when I could do something on the map and I was stuck.

[*]Length: I needed about 4 hours for 1 playtrough with not skipping cutscences and sometimes getting stuck at a puzzle which is ok for a HOG. Some where longer some shorter but I dont thing longer would have been better.

[*]Bugs: The map not showing what I can do often on either mode. ( I tried all modes multiple times and randomly it wouldnt show me the ! on the map when I obviously could do something)
It crashed for me once when I tried to skip a cutscene but didnt happen in another playtrough at the same time.
[*]THE GUIDE: I was soo glad this game had an ingame guide when I was stuck sometimes on the expert mode but my hope died soon after. The guide was the worst I have ever seen. It may show what you can do on a specific scence but not in the correct order. You see 10 things you can do on the same place in total not only what you can do till you have something. It was more confusing than helpful and I just looked up an online video walktrough when I was really stuck. The pictures helped a lot but not all puzzles where shown and helped and often I was: HUH? Where the hell did they get this item I didnt find it yet.
Overall it is not the best guide to use but occasionaly.

[*]The message of the story: I know most games you just play for fun and it is all fantasy and part of the mind but the message this game gives younger children is just bad in my opinion. The MC did something bad in her past life and deserves to be punished and sacrifices herself in the end? GREAT STORY as well as allowing to hurt someone for love. I played a lot of HO and a lot of had a bad story or so on but never a message like this.

As mentioned at the start it isnt the greatest and deserves a mixed review which is not possible. I am sure I will get a lot of hate but I cant recommend it at full price. Get it on sale and dont get the "Standard Version" without the Bonus chapter it will feel incomplete otherwhise. A lot of people recommended it but for me it wasnt the greatest game compared to others but I hope for better ones in the future.

So this one actually sparked joy! I'm not the best when it comes to HOG's but this game has some need puzzles! I mean that in most major HOG's there's a pattern how the puzzles will evolve throughout the game. This game has - at least in my opinion - made the puzzle structures a bit different than the majority. The animations are decent and the story line keeps you in the game!

A must try if you ask me!

Darkarta: A Broken Heart’s Quest Collector’s Edition (Darkarta for short) is a gorgeous hidden object puzzle adventure (HOPA) with excellent, varied puzzles. Its story is overly cheesy, even for a HOG-type, but its quality visuals and diverse puzzles deviate from the usual formula, making this one of the best HOPA’s I have played in recent times.

I found the story to be...overly cheesy. Everyone knows that you do not play a HOG/HOPA for its story, but I found this to be especially tedious. That being said, I seem to be far from the developers target audience of mothers. I may be female, but I would not consider myself strong with motherly instincts and would much prefer a more supernatural focus. This is of course personal preference, but regardless of the main theme, It is very dramatic with reincarnation, forbidden love/racism, and an overly mentioned focus on a mother’s commitment and love for her children. Half of the collectables revolve around memories of Sophia, and I found it to be far too persistent and obnoxious.

[h1]Gameplay[/h1]
Gameplay is where Darkarta shines. It is extremely varied, and the same puzzle or puzzle type is never repeated. Match symbols together, jigsaws, rotate mechanisms to align all colours in one spot and so on. It is mainly a puzzle adventure game, with only very few traditional hidden object scenes. The ones that are present, are also different, and do not only consist of finding items from a list of words, but also match the silhouette, fully interactive puzzle scenes and more. These can also be switched into a match-3 game instead. Puzzle enthusiasts will not struggle with the difficulty of the puzzles, but I enjoyed this casual flow of the game.

The map is very useful and even displays the collectables on it, such as Sophia’s memories and the morphing objects, allowing easy fast travel between the regions. The overlay is also very crisp and clear, however sometimes during puzzles, the puzzle description would be blocked by my inventory text which made it hard to read.

The background art is absolutely stunning, with majority being set under nightfall, highlighting the glistening moon and vibrant details in every scene. Despite this, some characters facial animations look rather odd, but given how beautiful the rest of the game is, I did not find this to be of significance.

Due to the game being inspired by Indus mythology, I found it rather unusual that the music does not reflect this, nor does the main character and her family being Caucasian. I would have enjoyed a more relevant choice of music to help the title stand out. The music and voice acting is all very standard for a HOG/HOPA with relaxing ambient music that turns obnoxiously dramatic when something negative happens.

One of the most visually pleasing HOGS I have ever played.

- Vibrant colors throughout all the scenes. The colors are astounding.
- A beautiful soundtrack.
- Fantastic story that wasn't overly cheesy for a HOG.
- Challenging puzzles.
- Probably the hardest Hidden Object scenes of any HOG I've played so far.

The only problem I found is I would often click out of HOG scenes unintentionally because the click box is so big.

You can tell a lot of love was put into making this beautiful HOG.

Recommend for any fan of the genre.

Enjoyable HOG that was a bit too long for my tastes. The puzzles were fun and and challenging enough to keep my interests. The story is well written and the art is nice. I found it all the more interesting because of the story, which centers on an Indian fable. Good stuff.

Not a very in deep game in comparision to the other point and click games available out there. Very superficial with pretty backgrounds but lacking any form of complexity with the puzzles. I would not recommend this. Also, when you dig into the actual reviews and rewards this game received, it quickly becomes clear that the rewards are meaningless and the reviews look sketchy. Be aware before you buy this.

I have played this game the whole way through including the bonus game. I enjoyed it immensely. It had both hidden object scenes as well as other kinds of puzzles. I like a combination of puzzles including hidden object scenes. I will play it again. I have no doubt. Highly recommended.

Dabei besticht es vor allen Dingen durch seine liebevolle Story, bei der wir unsere Tochter suchen, welche auf mysteriöse Weise entführt wurde. Dabei ist die Atmosphäre fantasievoll und fantastisch angehaucht und auch ein Stück weit mythisch beziehungsweise mythologisch.

Der Ablauf wirkt dabei sehr schlüssig und kompakt, die Wimmelbildspiele und die Hidden Object Aufgaben sind sinnig platziert. Man könnte auch von einem guten roten Faden sprechen. Für das Absolvieren erhalten wir auch Errungenschaften, wobei man, wenn man es im ersten Anlauf komplettieren möchte, einen [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=887276300]Guide[/url] benutzen sollte.

[b]Grafik & Sound[/b]

Grafisch hat man hier sehr schöne Artworks mit leuchtenden Farben, wenngleich man versucht eine düstere und mysteriöse Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Besonders gut kommt das bei den Rätselaufgaben zum Tragen. Das unterstreicht auch die ruhige musikalische Untermalung. Die englische Sprachausgabe ist tadellos, auf eine deutsche muss man verzichten und die Übersetzung weist ein paar Übersetzungsfehler auf. Das macht aber meiner Meinung nach nichts und man kann drüber hinweg sehen!

[b]Fazit[/b]

Das Spiel hebt sich jetzt nicht wesentlich von anderen Spielen dieses Genres ab, aber die liebevoll gestaltete Story mitsamt Artworks stechen dann doch hervor, sodass man im Vergleich es schon bevorzugen kann. Aufgrund der Masse an Konkurrenz sollte man jedoch trotzdem einen Rabatt mitnehmen. 50% sind vertretbar. Dann kostet es noch 4,09 Euro und man hat kurzweiligen Spaß!

Very amazing hidden game with reach story and indian folklore,

I enjoyed it so much that had to play it twice in row to get the achivements for 'Expert' and '4 hours story' (done it in 2:36 hours 😉)

This has all the ingredients of a top-notch HOG: good graphics, some unusual puzzles, two types of collectable, a bonus chapter, etc. It feels like Artifex Mundi but without the same old recycled puzzles. There's also a pleasing lack of insert-the-hedgehog-shaped-object-in-the-hedgehog-shaped-slot. Most items that you pick up need to be used according to their function, rather than just being another key. The gameplay is very well designed.

Somehow, though, the story never really gripped me. It's obvious that you'll save the kid. Since she's not your own kid, you're not particularly attached to her anyway. Most of the plot of the accompanying love story is laid out at the beginning, so there's not much development as you progress. I found my interest waning, and was really playing just for the mechanics of the game.

Overall, a positive review. The game plays very well, and different people will have different views on how interesting the story is.

This is a better HO game than most. The puzzles and HO scenes have more originality that the Five-BN and Artifex Mundi puzzles and HO scenes (these two large companies recycle some puzzles over-and-over). The Darkarta puzzles tend to be harder and some are puzzles within puzzles. However, they reward players with a longer game and more achievements. The story tugs at parental emotional strings too. Overall, a very good game.

Buen juego de objetos ocultos, bastante extenso y con variedad de puzzles (aunque se repite alguna mecánica); casi lo que menos hay es escenas de objetos ocultos como tal (las clásicas). El argumento es algo enrevesado y hace que te pierdas por momentos, pero al final es algo accesorio del juego. Hay algún error de traducción, pero es entretenido y, como digo, bastante largo. Tiene algún puzzle/mecánica que no había visto hasta ahora en juegos de este tipo, lo que supone un punto a favor. Recomendable!

Was für ein nerviges Spiel! Es regt nur auf. Die Minispiele sind teilweise echt furchtbar. Lösbar, aber meist eher durch Zufall als durch Können. Man kann ja zum Glück zu einem Match-3-Spiel wechseln. Aber die sind ja langatmig. Und überspringen ist auch nicht die Lösung, wenn man die Errungenschaft erhalten möchte. Einmal hat sich das Spiel aufgehängt und ich musste die Szene im Keller noch einmal durchmachen und das gerade eben geschaffte, nervenaufreibende Minispiel noch einmal spielen. (Sorry, aber NO WAY! Habe das Match-3-Spiel gewählt) Ich liebe Wimmelbildspiele aller Art. Auch, wenn die Story als albern und unlogisch ist. Das tut dem Spielspaß keinen Abbruch. Aber hier kommt keine wahre Stimmung auf. Ich spiele immer den schwersten Modus, da ich gerne ohne Hilfe Rätsel aufdecke. Scheint mir spannender. Aber hier hängt man viel zu oft fest und weiß nicht weiter. Man klickt durch die Gegend, bis man durch Zufall die richtige Stelle trifft. Dadurch ist man so sehr beschäftigt und abgelenkt, dass man vergisst, dass es noch andere Sammelobjekte zu suchen gibt. Es verging mir auch die Lust danach zu suchen. Sorry, aber bei diesem Machwerk kommt bei mir eher Frust als Lust auf. Werde es irgendwie und irgendwann zu Ende spielen. Vielleicht. Aber auch nur der Vollständigkeit halber und weil ich gutes Geld dafür bezahlt habe.

Right; First and foremost, I'd like to apologize for not writing the review when I'd said I would.

I had purchased this game a while back after someone associated with developers asked me / group I was in if I could try the game and later - to write a review on it within a certain time, as they'd need to make a report on it before then.
I did find it odd that I was asked to provide proof of purchase after I'd bought this, but that may be irrelevant.

Normally, I do not play games like these, so I may be somewhat biased when I say that I don't find this game
overly interesting and have been somewhat reluctant in playing it. The title appears to have been originally made
for mobile platforms, though I may be wrong in this.

It's nice to have different locations and variety in types of puzzles you can play - though some don't appear to make sense
and also I find that this game could fare better as a point & click adventure or perhaps a visual novel - that said, I had barely gotten to the caves after burning(?) through an obstacle, so perhaps I'd need to explore further to offer more accurate critique.

Voice acting may not be the best and there may have been worded better in places - but it's good enough for what it is
and it's a neat thing to have.

In any case, I don't want to rate this negatively as I haven't played many games like it and thus haven't got much to compare against, though I do wish there were a way to write a neutral review.

TL;DR: Meh, games like these don't particularly interest me but it doesn't appear to be overly bad. Might do better in another form. Alright story though, I guess.

However there are a very few small bugs in this game, I really recommand this one. First of all the whole game was in my motherlanguage (in my case Dutch), which makes this game very comfortable and easy to understand the story. Sometimes very small grammar errors in the language; but hey it doesn't matter if you are still able to understand what they mean... Beautiful story with emotional atmosphere. Very nice puzzles to solve. Sometimes a bit too easy even at expertmode; but better too easy instead of too hard to beat in my opinion. The music is magnificent and many extras in the collector's edition. The main focus from this game is details, details and again details.... Yes that's the real challenge of this game and it makes it beautiful. If you have a high eye from details; even then it's challenging.

No regret that I have bought and played this game !!!

My first forage into the genre of games known as HOGS.

The game is bursting with color as you move through a variety of landscapes. The areas you look for items in change from spooky houses to consecrated grounds.
The gameplay is what i assume typical of the genre. But the art and atmosphere heightened the enjoyment i would have gotten from simple non-puzzles. That in combination with wanting to see the way the story played out kept me eager to play until the end.
There's a lot of extra features after the game as well as extra objectives you can complete during the main game if you're into that sort of thing

OK the story is cheesy, but I like the beautiful world and the composite puzzles. Some of which are quite original. There's one thing though that bothers me, actually about all these kinds of games I've been playing lately. Why does the heroine/hero always have to be Caucasian? Give me some variety please!
All in all the game is entertaining, only the music doesn't work at all. I would have appreciated raga, or some
lavani or simple bollywood movie music.

It was okay, but the story line was a bit repetitive with the mother constantly falling in one accident after another, a bit unrealistic. I realize it's a fantasy but it could have been done better. It was definitely filled with a lot of puzzles, my inventory overlaid during some of the puzzles making it difficult to see all the items you needed to search for. All in all though, a long and fun game.

システムは脱出&パズルげーむに近い。
10時間前後で遊べる内容で休日1日2日を楽しむにはとても快適な内容になってる。
収集要素もあり収集物から物語をより深く知ることができる、見逃した収集物は2週目でとり逃した場所だけ部分だけをヒントで飛べるようになってる。とても素晴らしいシステムであった。(答え合わせみたいな感じ)
難易度もものすごく難しいわけではなく快適に遊べる難易度になっている。(どうしても理解できないわからなければヒントシステムもある)
物語も中々面白そう(英語苦手なので全部理解してない)

残りの実績は日本語字幕が来てからまた遊ぼうかなと思う

Darkarta is a pretty good hidden object/puzzle game with some interesting puzzles.

เป็นเกมที่เยี่ยมมากๆ ภาพสวย ถึงแม้อนิเมชั่นจะดูแปลกๆหน่อย แต่ก็ไม่ได้เป็นปัญหามาก ดนตรีเพราะทุกเพลง เนื้อเรื่องซึ้งเกือบมีน้ำตา ปริศนาไม่ยากจนเกินไป เล่นได้ในระดับยากสุดและโดยไม่พึ่งตัวช่วยได้สบายๆ เล่นแค่3ชั่วโมงก็จบแล้ว

I agree with everything in this game. Not a single problem. I even learned some stuffs about a different culture. Everything is amazing, it is more than worth the price to play it. The Developers deeply cared about the game and made everything look gorgeous, music is beautiful and you even learn about the characters!

The puzzles are more than fair, as well as the Hidden Objects. It does make your scratch your head from time to time, but help is always with you, if you so need it. There are 3 modes + custom mode.

I just like everything... Even the bonus! Nice to see some closure. Keep it up! You guys are amazing! Thank you for this cool game! :> :) =)

關卡到是挺豐富的，小部份有點瑣碎

Dakarta is a great point and click puzzle adventure game. It is challenging but not too difficult. I thought the story line was very good so far and I cannot wait to play more of this game. I recommend this game if you like the point and click genre.

Красивые персонажи, красивые задники, не шибко красивые экраны поиска предметов (хотя возможно дело в мониторе с 4к разрешением). Неплохая музыка, неплохой сюжет (пусть и слегка банален и концовка предсказуема).
Играть приятно, пара хороших вечеров если вы любите жанр гарантированы.
Самая главная проблема игры - её сложность. Она ну слишком уж лёгкая, не бросает вообще никакого вызова даже на самом выском уровне сложности.
