Dadish is a simple pixelated 2D platformer where you play as a dad radish trying to find all of his kids who wandered off. There are 50 total levels in the game, as well as 43 stars, the main collectible of the game hidden in each level except for the first 2 levels and bosses. The mechanics are pretty standard for a 2D platformer, with the character's moveset just consisting of walking around, jumping, and double jumping. However, the level design is pretty fun, with a variety of enemies, obstacles, and objects to navigate across. Despite being rather simple, all of the objects that the game has (such as keys, pushable boxes, mushrooms, and fire cannons) can all be used to create pretty interesting and distinct levels. This game isn't trying to do anything out of the ordinary, but just provides a fun and enjoyable platforming experience. There's also dialogue at the end of each level where Dadish talks with the kid that he just found. Most of the dialogue are pretty simple jokes but it adds an extra layer of charm and personality to the game. The stars were pretty much all placed in rather easy-to-find spots, most focusing on the challenge of getting there and a few taking a bit of exploring to obtain. Overall, I would really recommend this game, as it's simple and cheap fun that I could recommend to any platformer fan wanting a nice and short experience.
The other Dadish games really improve on the level design and platforming mechanics. Nice witty writing doesn’t save you from some truly awful levels and meh boss fights. It’s super cheap and short so no loss, but I think Daily Dadish or Dadish 2-3 are much better uses of your time

Jogo de plataforma muito divertido com uma dificuldade moderada, arte incrível, diálogos engraçados e trilha sonora relaxante. Já tive uma experiência no mobile e é muito interessante a versão de pc e console por conta do mundo exclusivo, é presente uma mecânica única com relação aos outros mundos por conta dos cogumelos, fazendo ele bem diferente dos outros em questão de gameplay.
O único problema que eu tenho é o controle nas setas, porém tem compatibilidade com controle ent tá ok.
Recomendo bastante, não leva muito tempo pra zerar e possue uma boa rejogabilidade, com um timer e novo personagem jogável "Possum" com o 100%.

Personally I don't play video games as much as I used to. I don't have as much time as to when I was younger and now after sitting down and playing either a single player or multiplayer game for several hours I get this empty feeling in the pit of my stomach. When the screen turns black I just feel as though I tossed away some of the precious hours I have left on this earth. I receive no tangible reward or social milestones. It makes me wonder as I grow older are video games even a hobby worth engaging with at this point? While I'm not sure who the culprit sowing this doubt in my mind is, be it society, myself, or the declining triple AAA landscape. What is abundantly clear to me is Thomas Young's Dadish has mitigated my qualms with my video game habit. This game reminded me why I became infatuated with the medium in the first place. If you have not played Dadish yet you are doing yourself a disservice and if you are now not considering playing it go get your head checked.

The jokes are stupid in the best way and it is just a really good experience overall, I think the average person would enjoy themselves if they gave this game a shot.
It goes on sale all the time too, definitely check it out, I love this game series.

É uma pena ser tão curto, mas se isso for um problema, ele tem várias sequências, e todas no precinho, então dá pra aproveitar bastante! <3
i bought the entire dadish series because i played it on my school chromebook and i wanted to get all the achievements but it turns out that this game is all just waiting for cycles and it kinda sucks when im actually paying full attention to it
Really fun game, played on the steam deck. It feels a lot like those old nitrome games from back in the day but more polished.
The visuals are nice to look at, the sound is just right and the controls are precise. All in all, a great little package.

the game is mostly fine, pretty amazing at the MSRP
some levels are pretty frustrating but fine
the mushrooms level with many hotdogs was really bad but all the other levels were fine at worst
other than the final boss. it's really bad and mostly down to luck, takes way too long
also the music is kinda repetitive, they're good tracks though so not really an issue
the graphics are really good and the dialogue is pretty much always at least a little funny as long as you're not expecting too much
overall i really enjoyed it

lovely little platformer this one, people complaining about a £2 game not having the same mechanics as the newest Mario game is hilarious. It's very well made and is great, i bought all 3 of them and cant wait to get through them all, my only complaint about this one is that you dont get put to the map after completing a level, and because of that, you may not even know there is a map you can navigate around. still...fantastic little game

Played it as a palate cleanser after finally finishing Nioh 2 and the dlcs, it was exactly what i needed and now i like videogames again.
It's a short, cute, and solid plataformer that could be a decent challenge for casual players or a fun, relaxing, but still engaging little game for plataforming veterans. The soundtrack is also very nice, the ice levels had some very cool music.

It'd be an ok game if the hit boxes made sense (were consistent with the character outline, centered on the same point, etc.). I'm glad I didn't spend more than 90 cents on it, but even that was a bit much. The mushrooms are more a matter of luck than skills and the response time on the buttons varies so much it's a joke. Cute idea... the execution leaves little details (which translates to quality and competence) to be desired.

コントローラー的にもSwitchよりやりやすいと思うので、時間がある時にでもニ巡目をやろうと思います。
現時点2D Dadishシリーズは「1」「2」「3」「Daily」の4シリーズです。
もし2D Dadishを全て揃えたい場合は「Dadish Collection」「Daily Dadish」の2つを購入すればOKです。
私の中では「2>1>Daily>3」の評価順となります。
Daily Dadishは若干特殊な性質となりますので、私視点の評価は[url=steamcommunity.com/id/kurumifairy/recommended/2274700/]こちらのレビュー[/url]をご覧ください。
Daily Dadishは2D Dadishの集大成感こそありますが、ゲームとしては現状「2」を一番オススメします。
ただここは「1」のレビュー欄ですので、「1」を中心として書き出してみます。
あくまでアクションはある程度ガチれる人の意見ですが、「1」は特にワールド3以降結構うざいステージが多い印象です。
ワールド4のキノコステージの挙動が難しく、純粋なアクションゲームとしては見れません。
挙動に慣れないとなかなかクリアすらも難しく、遣り応えどうこうより純粋に「うざいステージ」としか言えません。
その点「2」はステージのバランスが良く、全シリーズの中では一番優秀と感じます。
「1」の全スターの取得難易度は全クリ出来る程の腕前がある前提として、まあやり込めばどうにかなるレベルと感じます。
ただ、それでもかなり鬼畜を強いられるステージもありますので、オールクリアはそれなりのアクション力が必要です。
オススメ出来るかどうかと聞かれた場合、私としては「オススメは出来ます」。
Dadishシリーズが好きであれば、是非2D Dadishの全シリーズを体験して色々比べてみてほしいです。
残念ながら「Daily」と「3」は現状オススメ出来ない評価ですが、色々シリーズの特色を比べて見るのも面白いです。
「1」はビーチBGMとMountain BGMが個人的に好きです。
「Daily」ではMountain BGMでベルの音色を取り入れた、クリスマス風アレンジを聴けますよ。
Fun little platformer reminiscent of Gameboy color Mario games, especially visually. Tight controls and not overly difficult but some precise jumps are required for level completion. Some basic puzzle solving à la the opening levels of Adventures of Lolo. The sound soundtrack is simple but pleasurable. Short and fun dialog at the end of each level.
Took me around 90 minutes for 100% completion.
I'll be playing Dadish 2 shortly!

This is what you get when you boil a platformer down to its roots-a very cute, simple game about a radish (who may or may not be a dad) trying to find his kids who ran away at the end of every level. It’s fun! And I appreciate the joke at the end of each stage
I got to experience what being a father is like while being 14. Needless to say, I ain't gonna have no kids when I'm older.

It's a very simple minimalistic precision platformer that is very cute. I enjoy the short amusing dialogue between the dad & his kid at the end of each level.
I'm not gonna play further, but I could easily see myself picking it back up one day.

The start of a great series of simple "Jog" and jump platformers with miniature tight-level designs. Can't go wrong with this one. Great humour and lovely music.
Cute little platformer that will keep you entertained on a weekend or slow day. Each level is quite short so you can also leave it and pick it up later where you dropped off. The humor is on point!
The only part I didn't like was in World 4 [spoiler] with the multiple mushrooms in a row with different orientations. It felt too chaotic and I was at the mercy of the mushrooms. This doesn't happen when, for example, all the mushrooms are vertical and next to each other [/spoiler].
Also a weird thing is the fact that sometimes the levels have checkpoints and sometimes not. When they exist, they are in odd places sometimes too like really near the end of the level.

O gráfico é simples porém bem executado, super carismático e harmonioso. As Músicas são realmente muito boas, dá vontade de ficar parado na fase só escutando. Os sons são bem satisfatórios. O Level Design é muito bem executado e sabe aproveitar bem os recursos que tem. O Jogo tem um senso de humor muito bom nos diálogos todo final de fase (eu dei muitas risadas haha). É um jogo realmente muito bem executado, ainda mais pro preço dele!
Acho que o único ponto que você tem que se atentar é a dificuldade que é levemente alta... Quem é acostumado com jogo de plataforma (principalmente os mais difíceis) tira de letra, mas se você não for tão bom no gênero provavelmente vai passar sufuco (os únicos dois mundos tem algumas fases que realmente dão trabalho).
Mas em geral é um jogo do tipo "Escopo pequeno, mas extremamente bem executado", eu super recomendo!

There's so many little details that piss me off in this game that I can't list them all.
The bosses are supremely boring and the mushrooms are jank af.
Otherwise, if you find it cute it's not bad, it was just designed to make me mad specifically.
Who decided to make the controls for this game. Who decided to make C the jump button. Who decided to make the controls as clunky as possible. I am refunding this game due to the controls, fix your controls. Either than that it is a good game overall, and the graphics are very cute

One-liners galore!
Test your patience with its barrage of endearing or groan-inducing humor (up to you), but stay for the charmingly uncomplicated platforming. The game markets itself as a laid-back experience and delivers easily on that expectation with its wacky cast, low-stakes tone, and mechanically varied levels. Still, the boss fights offer no real challenge, and learning their movement patterns to corner them into obvious traps defeats them in seconds. Random difficulty spikes during the mushroom levels seem more janky than intentional.
Regardless, it's good enough for the small asking price, and you can BLAST through (and 100%) it in a matter of hours. The sequel improves on the formula, but this is a solid start!

only problem i had with it was some of the jokes didnt land and the game is overall a slower pace for the most part

Petit jeu auquel je joue pour la seconde fois, la première fois ayant été sur téléphone portable. Je l'aime toujours autant et j'ai adoré y rejouer. Je recommande vivement pour toute personne désirant rire un bon coup, expérimenter tout de même une certaine difficulté tout en restant dans un environnement zen.

Dadish is not a bad game at all its just very average.
It has a cute style that reminds me of a certain flash game company. At the same time the gameplay also reminds me of flash games. It is a basic 2D platformer that only gives you the ability to jump. My main gripe is that neither the levels or the controls have anything creative going on to make Dadish unique. It feels exactly like every other 2D platformer.

actually a really fun game! it's got really nice graphics, fun humour and fourth-wall breaks, and a good storyline. haven't finished the game but definitely a really good platformer if you're looking for a low-commitment game to play for a bit :)
