Fun little side scroller! It’s incredibly easy, so don’t go expecting too much of a challenge. The spritework is very reminiscent of Rare’s SNES era, and it looks not only faithful, but beautiful! Would love to see a sequel to this game with more gameplay put into it.

Okey, I was not expecting to suddenly star playing Super Kiwi 64.
you play as beeny, and your first goal is to get glue (honey) for your friend kiwi (from super kiwi 64.) after that, you get to play as kiwi for a little while.
after the kiwi scene, you can replay the levels and try to finish them within the time limit, or just play them as they are!
the game is simple, all you do is jump on branches until you reach your hive. there are also a few things that can slow you down, like rain, spikes, and faces (which i found creepy and definitely made me go faster.)
it’s quick and easy, but the graphics are adorable and the music is awesome.
you get to be an adorable, round, bouncy honeybee. that alone makes it worth the price.
It's a fun little game that is easy to play in free time between class or when taking a small break from work. The level design as well as visuals are really great and feels very nostalgic. It's a fun game with some challenging levels but overall it is a very short game. I recommend this game to anyone who loves simple but fun games that don't require much brain power to have fun.

Each level introduces some new mechanic or challenge, but the whole game is fairly accessible for the casual player with some of beeny's friends there to catch you in most situations. This game has really crazy, cool vibes. The visuals are great and so is the soundtrack. It's very clear that this was a real passion project for this dev, and that they really enjoy making these quirky little games. I look forward to browsing their catalog further and, in the meantime, [i]highly recommend this game![/i]

brilliant. it achieves what it sets out to do very well, kind of strange vertical platforming that is a pure DKC tree level autism and the visuals and music encapsulate the atmosphere of the DKC games very well. it is only short so it is easy to recommed and i would implore anyone who likes the DKC games to try it. two of this games music tracks are indefinately burned into my brain and refuse to leave my head and 2 weeks after playing this game its soundtrack is still on a loop inside my skull, banging job on the soundtrack and visuals. considering that the scope of this game is very limited and basic i have no trouble saying this is 9/10, it does what it set out to do exceptionally well and i feel that should this have been released as a SNES game bak in da dayz it would probably be a cult classic. well done guys, im definitely going to bang out Super Kiwi 64 within the next couple of weeks and i expect it to be good. Beeny is well worth the 2-5 hours or so that it will take from your pitifull digital peasntry lives so play it now or be gae forever!

You can fully beat the game in like 30 minutes, but it was so fun that i did it 2 more times! Definitely recommend the game and i cant wait to play more games by the devs because they replicate old gaming way better than anyone else.

Beeny genuinely feels like some sort of lost clone of Donkey Kong Country finally found unearthed somewhere. Like all the ascetics and core platforming mechanics really feel right at home with those 2D plaformers on the SNES in such a good way. My only real problem with it is that Beeny's level design are all vertical and basically have little differences between levels outside of enemies and palette swaps. Not so much mad at such a thing, but imagine all the same type of levels being in one world in a given game and just doing that. It still has it's fun parts to it, but it can feel a bit wore. Thankfully, Beeny knows when to cut it short, and by the time you start to feel the concept of this game to dip, you're pretty much done with it. On top of that you get a fun teaser for the next game Siactro was making at the time, Super Kiwi 64. Beeny isn't quite on the level of scratching that itch that you may have for old school 2D platformers, but gosh does it hit the spot for a little while. Which is more than a lot of other games can say.

It lives up to its claim of emulating a 90s pre-rendered visual style.
But I'm not sure it's actually a game. I haven't seen a score nor lives nor hit points. Falling or getting hit has no consequences, as if it is stuck in cheat mode.
I really enjoyed this game, despite finishing it in 17 minutes! The graphics and the music were top-notch and reminded me so much of Donkey Kong Country.
As a huge platformer fan, I found myself wishing for something a bit more challenging after a few levels, but I don't slight Beeny for that given I bought it for like $.47. Despite not feeling challenged, I really enjoyed every level. There was a total stand-out level for me though and that was Silent Visitors. I don't want to spoil anything, but I didn't expect what occurs in that level and was pleasantly surprised and challenged!
I wish so badly there was more content in Beeny, but given the insanely low price at which I bought it, I'm happy! Definitely going to check out Super Kiwi 64 next and anything else Siactro puts out.

Beeny is as simple as it gets.
The game is the right amount of challenging while also providing the player with a cozy and laid-back (for the most part) atmosphere. The graphics are a proper homage to the SNES Rare titles, to the point that I wish there was a CRT filter or something like that in order to truly get the full experience!
The game is also pretty short, so it's a quick experience all things considered, with some degree of replayability (which I won't spoil).
You should play it!

The time attack times feel arbitrary though.
Another banger from Siactro, this one seems to be more inspired by Donkey Kong Country as opposed to N64 platformers but it's nonetheless a welcome change of pace and pretty cool little experiment.
As with Siactro's other games, they're tiny in size and leave you feeling hungry for a bigger adventure, but they're always well made and have lots of love put into them. Awesome to see the signature brief horror level appearance as is customary in all the other games too.
Bit of a strange choice with having no hit points even though there are shurikens flying across the screen that hurt you, and if you fall then you're caught by Beeny's friends who are never far behind so it's really not a hard game at all, especially when compared to its inspirations.
Even the time trials aren't really hard at all to complete, but it's cool you get a reward out of doing them.
I'm just gonna chalk up the easy difficulty to it being a warm wholesome game that aims to take you on a little ride rather than offering challenge.

Lovely game
Near where I grew up there was a market that had a little play area for kids. It was equipped with a rudimentary touchscreen that could run some janky, but charming and fun games. This game reminds me of those, it has all the nostalgian and the charm, only it is more polished.
Very reminiscent of the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy in terms of aesthetics. The game is super short, but it allows each level to have a unique feel to it.
It's fun, and when you complete all the levels there is a short 3D part too, and then you unlock time trials. I like how easy it is to 100%. Does not require a controller, once you unlock the second character you can use [shift] instead of pressing Y.
Very cute and short 2D platformer with a fun unique gameplay style and DKC-esque pre-rendered SNES graphics. The game's unique, quick play-style makes it fun, and at times challenging. It also has some fun additional bonus challenges and characters that are just as fun as the base game! For the price it's an amazing game, definitely worth full price.

Beeny is truly one of the greatest games ever made. With 9 levels with great replay value there's always something to do. If I had to choose 1 game to play for the rest of my life, it would be Beeny. The replay value and soundtrack are really what make this game so special in my eyes. I'd truly recommend Beeny to anyone, wether that be casual or hardcore gamers, I think anyone can enjoy Beeny to the fullest. So just buy Beeny, sit down, and enjoy the best 9 levels in video game history. Also there's a rumour about the secret 10th level in Beeny, so be on the look out.

A delightful platformer you can finish in about 15 minutes. I was especially charmed by the beautiful, pre-rendered graphics and the relaxing soundtrack, which is heavily inspired by the old DKC games. And of course, the fact that Beeny is a sweet, round bee makes the experience even more endearing.
what a neat re-playable game that is well worth something (not free). "vertical" games certainly aren't common but thankfully there's one that is great. I'll admit the level design is repetitive, but it can still get addicting. not to mention the early 90's pre-rendered graphics style is gorgeous--I would love to see a sequel to this game one day.

I love the art style of the games that this developer makes. This game was much easier to 100% complete than Toree and is pretty short as the game doesn't have that many levels but its still fun gameplay wise and story wise.
Definitely not DKC... Like actually. Super barebones and simple mechanics here, go up. On platforms. The presentation and love of the art is really what brings it all together. I particularly enjoyed the music, evoking some David Wise and Grant Kirkhope, For $1? Easy to recommend. Also love to support this dev and the extended Kiwi-verse.

It was much quicker than siactro's toree 3D to 100%, it was fun though but it needs to have more levels in a sequel because the formula is great, especially without ads but it would benefit from a 50 to 100+ level count as this was done in less than 30 minutes, and in comparison I spent about 20+ hours I assume 100%ing the other 1 dollar game toree 3D, what can I say I love ranking systems, they only had time trials here.

Игра с звезд с неба не хватает, но ощущается очень приятно и весело. Музыка мне запомнилась, вот, сижу и пишу, а соундтрек в голове проигрывается. Уровни тоже хорошо отложились в памяти. Сама игра короткая, возможно управиться за 30-50 минут, но она и не надоедает слишком быстро. Вердикт - Сыграйте часок, чтоб расслабиться ;)

A fantastic entry in the Kiwi extended universe, Beeny is everything to love & nothing to hate. This is a character we all will hope to see again & again into the future. I finished the whole game in 15 minutes, if any of you guys finish it faster please let me know.
pretty good to be honest, not as much content as i was expecting but still a really good indie game. one thing i did not like though was how tedious spikeys revenge was. ALSO THE KIWI 64 LEVEL WAS FIRE but not as big as an actual kiwi 64 level though,

Admittedly kinda dull at points (it's hard to maintain entertainment with a vertical platformer), but very short, so it's not like it was a drag by any means. Was a bit surprised to see some of the same creepy elements present in Super Kiwi 64, though I suppose it only makes sense, considering that game is a sequel to this one. I like that a lot of the levels had specific gimmicks, and that they sort of combined some of them in the end to ramp up difficulty. Speaking of difficulty, I appreciate that it was challenging without being particularly punishing. You have a safety net to fall back on if you miss and overall that made the game much more enjoyable to me as someone who is bad at video games. Kiwi's level was a neat surprise, though it is clear that this was made before everything about Super Kiwi 64 was cemented. Namely, he doesn't have the glide or lunge mechanics. Still, a very neat little game with a cute art style, fun gameplay, and a sort-of jumpscare that actually really startled me.

Beeny is a throwback to the look of games like Donkey Kong Country that used sprites based off of 3D models. The look and sound of the game is an instant nostalgia trip because of this. The soundtrack is great and the levels and models look just as good. Gameplay wise, Beeny is extremely simple. You move from left to right jumping up a tree to reach some honey. There's about 10 levels and the whole game can be beaten in 15 minutes, so I'm glad the game is priced appropriately and I had a fun enough time with it to think I got my moneys worth. It's literally impossible to die in this game from what I can tell so the only challenge is whether or not you're able to complete the simple jumps. There's some variety in the later levels with new stage hazards but nothing crazy. If you want a fun little nostalgia trip, I'd say give it a shot. Another game from solo developer Siactro, Beeny follows the pattern of being very short, appealing to nostalgia, and having absolutely delightful gameplay.
Beeny will only last you fifteen minutes or so, but the nine levels all feel very polished - with very intuitive jump physics and a well-thought-out progression of gimmicks. The controls are very simple (move left, move right, jump), but the physics feel really good, and I always felt in control and satisfied.
It's impressive how well the visuals ape those of the [Donkey Kong Country] games on the SNES, with sprites baked off of pre-rendered 3D models. The soundtrack is also very nice, and adds to the good vibes.

The gameplay loop starts off seemingly easy at first, but as you tread through the perilous paths that lead to the final climactic (and shocking!) conclusion you find yourself forced to make precise, instant and often very tricky choices that ultimately end up affecting how the game is played as a whole.
Games were made to tell stories, to share experiences, to let live and let die, to make memories and to come to grips with losses. When you choose to engage in an experience as rich and as intricate as this one, you are choosing to fundamentally change as a person.

Took me 24 minutes to 100% the game with the bonus Christmas level. It's a good little game but it's very short, much like all of Siactro's games. Just understand that what you're getting for 99 cents, is very much 99 cents worth of your time. Definitely a fun little nostalgia trip for people who grew up in that awkward early 3D, just coming out of 2D era of PC, N64, and PS1.
