Beat Cop is a detailed and genuinely fun pixel art game. The visuals are fantastic, and the soundtrack really stands out—it does a great job of pulling you into the atmosphere of being a police officer. The quests are engaging, and I like that they offer different choices, which gives me a reason to replay some of them to unlock achievements. I’m definitely planning to go back and try the other paths. Overall, it’s absolutely worth buying.

However, the character randomly stops moving mid-game and you cannot do anything about it, it will waste the game time, and would make you miss other game objectives. 전직 형사인 경찰을 주인공으로 세워 거리 속 이야기를 풀어나가는 게임. 배경이 80년대인 만큼 브금이나 느낌을 레트로하게 잘 살렸다. 주인공이 처한 메인 스토리가 되는 내용도 흥미롭고, 각 일차 안에서 벌어지는 피자와 깜디 사이의 이야기 그리고 몇몇 소시민들 이야기가 제법 재미가 있다.
모든 일을 해결할 수 없다는 초반부 언급대로 한정된 시간과 선택지 속에서 결정하게 만드는 요소들이 좋았다.

다만 마지막인 21일차가 너무 급전개로 전개되어서 그동안 열심히 쌓던 빌드업이 갑자기 후루룩하고 끝나버리는 느낌이 아쉬웠다.

Игра была куплена с мыслью, что вот на часок и дальше смысла проходить нет.
Ожидалось что-то базисное, с глупым клише и просто высмеиванием работы полиции в 80-ые Нью-Йорка (да и в целом). В отзывах встречалось упоминание о багах, которые не дают проходить дальше..

Но, о чудо, меня черт подкупил этой пиксельной графикой, что мне родней всего в играх. И, скажу сразу, не зря.
У вас много выбора действий, вы можете что хотите делать. Хочешь путану под конец рабочей смены? Зайди в этот уголок. Хочешь быть добропорядочным полицейским? Без проблем, главное не порть отношения с мафией (хах, говорю я с практически - 80 от мафии...оно забавно). Хочешь запереть вора в холодильнике? Да пожалуйста, вынь только его потом. Партейку в карты вечером отыграть? Да главное найди место.

Атмосфера приятная, музыка не надоедает во время прохождения, моментами забавные ситуации (мафия просит найти трехколесный детский велик, к примеру), юмор уместный.
Особо запары нет, проходишь и получаешь удовольствие от самой игры.

Что по поводу багов..да их нет? Всё хорошо, не было ни единого раза, когда что-либо зависло / пропало и не давало пройти. Тут уж нечего рассказать.

I really, really wanted to like this game, but I was having so little fun I could not force myself to continue. I enjoy crime dramas and cop dramas, pixel RPGs, all sorts of sims, etc. This is right up my alley, but the UI is horrific, the controls incredibly choppy, and the constant clicking is exhausting.

Game takes place over 21 days, before granting an ending. I have met people who have discovered 7 different endings, and know of at least 4.

Day 1 opens with a LONG cutscene, through which a lot of dialogue must be clicked through. First run was challenging since a lot of controls are not explained clearly in time. We walk by clicking and run by double clicking. Running out of stamina reverts us to a walk, but we can replenish stamina even while walking, and resume running with another double click. In order to cuff a fleeing perp, we need to click a cuffs icon on our toolbar while running close enough to them. Fleeing perps have lower speed but infinite stamina.

We have a daily ticket quota, but the hardest part of hitting it is that time is ticking away in real time at all times, even when we are double checking our list of unfulfilled objectives, which is always huge. Also, we will get called on the radio constantly, requiring clicking through more dialogue. It's honestly best to relentlessly hunt for traffic tickets at the start of your shift, since you can't know if dispatch will blow you up with unwanted dialogue and gobble up the later hours of your shift. Only by repeating a day multiple times can you, hopefully, meet your ticket quota AND fulfil an acceptable number of the conflicting things people ask you to do.

I could understand and appreciate it if the inability to do everything were more simply a way to incentivize and reward multiple playthroughs, but one of the major problems I had on day 3 or 4 is that I was asked to take a "double homicide," call at an apartment, but the apartment contained only a senior cop's mother who wanted somebody to go on a shopping run for her. The problem for me was that I had NO IDEA where the building was from which she wanted me to buy her donuts, so I had to fail this quest on my first run through this day. I had to do a lot of clicking up and down my street looking for buildings that looked like they might sell donuts. The old lady mentioned a building, but she will not repeat herself if I revisit her apartment, and my quest log does not say from where I need to buy her food. I could repeat the whole day, but I'm already finding it hard to self-motivate for all this clicking.

You gain cash and reputation with gangs by doing things they ask of you, which is easy if you don't mind more clicking, but hard because it's a distraction from clicking to write tickets on cars. I can apparently give cash to a certain NPC to buy better favor with the gang factions, but I acquire cash mainly by doubling my ticket quotas (lots of clicking) or clicking differently to accept bribes instead of issuing a lawful ticket.

Unfortunately, I must click against recommending this game to others. Its concept is brilliant, but the physical process of playing the game really persecutes the player and is not fun.

Artisticamente bonito, feito nesses bits, e com referências discretas a outras coisas "pop".

Em alta nessa época: Corrupção, Gangues, Racismo e piadas, seja engraçada, ou apenas comentários pesados (O povo dessa época adorava tudo que matava por dentro de forma longínqua, ou por fora, porque era "maneiro" e "descolado". Mudou algo atualmente ?).

Achou parecido com Papers Please ? Pois é... porém, aqui as tarefas são mais aleatórias e tu tens que correr pra todo lado, cumprindo tarefas, decorando coisas, vendo as tarefas no bloco, prendendo o pessoal, multando (existem macetes muito rápidos pra entender os 3 tipos, observe o veículo e o parquímetro sem checá-los de fato, e entenderá).

--Bugs--

- No dia 7 Me ocorreu um bug do boneco ficar preso no lugar em vários momentos. Muitos NPC ficaram parados também, e por esse mesmo motivo, alguns veículos. E o jogo congelou tudo nesse final do dia que tive que fechar. Nos outros dias sem "crash", porém, Dia 13, 17, 18 a mesma coisa (Vou evitar piadas políticas com esses dias não funcionarem haha!!!). Isso somente contado na primeira jogada. Na dúvida, chame o guincho sempre que multar um veículo, pra os NPC sumirem e não voltarem mais.

- Nem sempre algumas atividades irão funcionar conforme dito, ou então serão extremamente punitivas.
Exemplos:
- "Persiga algum bandido", logo, diálogos ocorrendo e ele fugindo...;
- "Persiga alguém com uma maleta": A pessoa andando sem a maleta;
- "Proteja o quarteirão inteiro de assaltos": O cara rouba lá no extremo Leste e foge ali mesmo;
- "Evite que estacionem o quarteirão inteiro": Tu protegeu todo ele, mas no último minuto alguém estacionou ao encerrar o dia = Não cumpriu seu dever = Multa e menos pontos com a polícia.

- Existes alguns momentos do jogo, em que o jogo lhe mata sem lhe explicar o motivo, até o Agente 47 aparece do nada e lhe mata, tendo que reiniciar todo o dia novamente, sem saber o motivo.

--Observações--

- Como é um jogo que envolve rapidez nas tarefas, faltou atalhos nos comandos, invés de usar apenas cliques. Além do fato de atrapalhar nos diálogos ao clicar enquanto faz outras coisas.

- Poderiam ter mais locais de salvamento assim como em "Papers Please", onde você pode retornar aos dias sem apagar os posteriores.

- Não notei diferença entre ser adorado pela população ou não. Talvez essas mortes aleatórias "especiais" ou o dinheiro que eles nos dão às vezes por algum feito.

- Guinchar veículos parece perca de tempo. Na ideia seria trazerem mais carros e aumentar a quantidade de multas, porém, o quarteirão é grande pra isso, sendo útil apenas pra talvez resolver o bug de congelar a todos. Se o jogo fosse em uma tela somente, seria ótimo.

- Escrever mais de uma multa em um veículo parece redundante. Penso que fui advertido sem ter errado multas, estranho... mas não posso afirmar já que nunca nos mostram o que foi e quando foi.

- Existem dias específicos pra não se aceitar propina, e esses, a única desvantagem é a reputação com a polícia, de resto, rende mais que a multa que eles descontam (20$, 30$ ou 50$).

- É um indie diferente, agradável pra se jogar uma vez somente, curto, e que pode ser frustrante e cansativo ter que reiniciar ou voltar os dias.

- Sempre tenha dinheiro e vá ao padre pra reduzir seus problemas com a gangue e a máfia.

После прочтения последних обзоров я чуть не отказался от идеи купить эту игру, но всё-таки решил дать ей шанс.

Встречаются отзывы о «критических» багах, из-за которых игра буквально застревает, однако за 5 часов геймплея я так и не столкнулся ни с одним из них. Когда персонаж бежит, он устаёт, и ему нужно немного передохнуть, чтобы продолжить бег. Неужели многие действительно не понимают механику шкалы выносливости?

К явным плюсам могу отнести:
- классную пиксельную графику
- порой реально смешные диалоги
- безумно атмосферную историю

К минусам же отнесу:
- монотоннейший геймплей (буквально симулятор выписывания штрафов)
- концовки которые мало чем отличаются друг от друга

В целом, мне понравилась концепция: игра держит в напряжении, постоянно есть чем заняться, каждый день появляются новые задания.

Рекомендую её тому, кому как и мне нравится сеттинг игры - под 80-е годы и при этом готов к серой атмосфере и острым комментариям в ходе прохождения. В общем, оценка - примерно 6/10. Однако стоит иметь в виду, что игра может вам не подойти, поскольку её стиль и тематика явно приглянутся далеко не всем.

Ухх. Як же я згорів від цієї гри. Захоплюючий сюжет з не менш захоплюючими діалогами і квестами. От прям дуже добре. Повернувся до фільмів дитинства про американських копів. Пригоріло ж з реалізації квестів. Я за своєю суттю перфекціоніст, коли справа стосується квестів. Спочатку попереджають, що не встигати — це нормально. Ок, змирився. Але ось третина всіх цих квестів у мене буквально була зламана. А якщо ти взяв завдання і не виконав, лови штраф. У грі немає ручних сейвів. Ти починаєш день з початку. Ось приклад. Мафія попросила до приїзду начальника зачищати парковку від машин, дівчат вільної поведінки і торгашів борошном. При цьому банда попросила перервати зустріч, коли та почнеться. Виконав обидва досконально. Лови погіршення відносин з двома бандами. Чудово! Рестарт дня. Або інший момент. Треба відбуксирувати кабріолет чорта. Номер є. Приїжджає о 11-й. Я на місці і протягом декількох рестартів тачки так і не знайшов. Мінус відносини з бандою. Деякі дні перезапускав десятки разів. Може, мені просто так не щастило, але зловив пристойну купу багів аж до чорного екрану. З одного боку, гру рекомендую, з іншого, бачите перші ознаки таких квестів — видаляйте нафіг.

Весьма затягивающая игра про будни копа на одной улице в Нью-Йорке в 80-ых годах. Казалось бы, одна улица и не так много экшна, должно быстро надоесть. Но это не так. Пострелять действительно дадут всего пару раз, а большую часть полицейских будней будет занимать выписывание штрафов за парковку. Но вместе с этим будут и интересные задания и всякие забавные и нелепые ситуации. Причем задания выдают как в полицейском участке утром, так их можно получить и у мафии и у местных банд на улице. Причем чтобы собрать достаточно денег и не быть застреленным/уволенным придется балансировать между всеми тремя. В игре для них есть система репутации от -100 до +100. И если положительная репутация никаких плюшек не предполагает, то вот негативная ведет к преждевременному концу игры.
Касательно заданий, их также могут выдавать сторонние персонажи и вы опять же вольны выполнять их или нет, но за многие дают ачивки. Еще можно брать или не брать взятки, что порой тоже чревато последствиями.
А еще в игре приятный ретровейв саундтрек и много отсылок к фильмам 80-ых. Поэтому любителям подобной атмосферы должно понравиться. Тем же, кто предпочитает современный временной период, игра действительно может показаться скучной и затянутой.

雰囲気は極上の「80年代ポリス・ドラマ」。プレイ感は世知辛い「駐禁おじさんシミュレーター」

まず、このゲームが描く80年代ニューヨークの空気感は完璧だ。
差別用語が飛び交う殺伐とした会話、路地裏の浮浪者、猥雑なポルノショップ、そして常に不機嫌な上司。当時の「ヤバい」ニューヨークの治安の悪さと、独特の退廃的な美学が、荒いドット絵を通して見事に再現されている。BGMや小ネタも80年代映画ファンならニヤリとするものばかりだ。

しかし、その素晴らしい世界観を「ゲームシステム」が邪魔をしてしまっているのが惜しい。
プレイヤーは冤罪を晴らすという重大な目的があるにもかかわらず、毎日「駐禁切符を5枚切れ」「タイヤのすり減った車を見つけろ」といった地味なタスクに追われ続けることになる。ドラマチックな展開を期待しているのに、実際は車のタイヤを覗き込んで切符を切るだけの淡々とした作業。この「やらされている感」が没入感を大きく削いでおり、刑事ドラマの主人公になりたいプレイヤーの心を、公務員の現実に引き戻してしまう。

【BAD】
・「駐禁切符を切る」という単調なルーチンワークがプレイ時間の大半を占め、ストーリーへの没入感を削いでしまう。
・時間制限が非常にシビアで、テキストをゆっくり読む余裕すらなく、常に時計を気にするストレスフルなプレイになりがち。
・特定のイベントが進行しなくなるバグや、フラグ管理の甘さが散見され、理不尽なゲームオーバーを迎えることがある。

단점: 어까 요소가 있고 게임 자체가 너무 바쁨. 뭐 범인 추격할 때 끝쪽에 소환되면 맵 이탈해서 임무 실패되고 두 임무 동시에 하는 도중 장소 겹쳐서 실패로 처리되는 경우도 있음. 하루 시작 전으로 돌리는 기능이 있긴 한데 다시 같은 작업 반복이 시간이 꽤 오래 걸려서 이건 비추 요소임.
총평: 가격 대비 꽤 잘 만든 게임인건 확실해서 도트게임 좋아하시는 분들께 추천합니다.

This game is the developers' homage to the classic '80s cop movies and TV shows. The synth based music and the pixel heavy art style are fine creative choices to capture that long-gone aesthetic. The game nails the spirit of those beloved entries in popular media. I also liked how the apartment callboxes list the various apartment residents names, which are actually a mix of fictional cops, criminals, and action movie heroes.

The story is a typical noir affair. The basic overall idea is Detective Kelly attempting to clear his name against suspicions he stole some diamonds from a senator after Kelly responded to a burglary at that residence. Since Kelly is suspect #1 in this little diamond theft caper, he is swiftly demoted to a walking beat in Precinct 69 as the internal investigation occurs. At the end of his first day at Precinct 69, his walking beat partner / mentor is murdered right in front of him during a drive-by shooting committed by some unknown suspects. Kelly narrowly avoids becoming a victim himself via the same violent death.

The rest of the game is Kelly balancing his patrol tasks, finding out who tried to kill him, and exonerating himself in the diamond theft accusation. The player attends the daily lineup meeting, receives assignments from the shift sergeant, and can interact with his co-workers. Once he "beats it" and hits the street, he responds to calls for service, meets ticket-writing goals (described as "quotas"), meets the various community members, and contends with a gang war between a Black gang known as "the Crew" and the Italian "Mafia."

The game offers the player choices between helping "the Crew" or the "Mafia" with various side-missions wherein Detective Kelly is compensated by these factions with money at the consequence of betraying his police department. The game also allows the player to write tickets for infractions such as illegal parking, broken headlights / taillights, and bald / damaged tires.

The game offers up a lot of powerful but well-trodden themes and questions. Does the lowly beat cop compromise his integrity and the community's trust in order to get ahead, or does he follow the letter of the law and create ire and anger within the community for doing the job he is expected to do? Will he solve the mystery of who is trying to kill him, or will he get whacked before finding all the answers? Will he be disgraced and imprisoned for stealing diamonds he never stole, or will the real thieves be brought to justice?

Where this game fails is that it does not take advantage of putting the player in Detective Kelly's boots. The movement is click-based and Kelly essentially runs from one corner of his beat to the next in a never-ending quest to stay on top of everything. At the end of the day, the player's accomplishments are rewarded with money; the player's failures are penalized with loss of money.

The offers for bribes and allegiance with the two gangs are so frequent that it decreases their potential for emotional impact. If you write 20 tickets, at least 15 of those tickets will have the citizen offering a bribe in exchange for leniency. I would've liked to have seen less of this mechanic because it gets tedious to keep clicking through the same dialog sequence just to select "refuse" or "accept."

Kelly is constantly abused by his co-workers and supervisor. Every character in Precinct 69 is extremely abrasive and berates Kelly for the smallest of infractions, perceived or actual. It's quite clear he is not liked or respected and he seems to operate within an unrelentingly hostile environment. No one seems to want to help Kelly as he seems to be in a fight for his life and his freedom. I found it difficult to relate to the other characters since they were so negative and oppressive to Detective Kelly.

By day 7 of Detective Kelly's worst assignment yet, I was unwilling to continue. Hopefully, there are some updates and tuning to the game's mechanics which make it easier to stay focused on the main story's narrative threads instead of keeping up with the RNG busywork.

esse jogo é bizarro de bommm! Comprei na promoção por R$2,79 e nem acredito na qualidade.
adoro jogos nessa vibe pixel art/retrô. Já joguei papers please, party hard, entre outros, e fiquei impressionada com esse aqui.
vamos pra 2 pontos na análise:
1- o jogo se passa mtooos anos atrás, então sim, tem um linguajar diferente, é meio carregado de preconceito (assim como era nas décadas de 60/70/80/90) e bastante violência. não dá pra reclamar disso, o jogo retrata exatamente a situação social e politica naquela época.
2- a narrativa é muito interessante, vc se pega jogando por horas e horas, preso na história. Personagens secundários tem histórias muito interessantes também, o que fazem a gente ter vontade de completar ao máximo tudo que dá a cada turno de trabalho.

A gameplay é muito divertida e tranquila, e existem várias possibilidades pra explorar in game. a história vai se moldando conforme as escolhas e atitudes que vc tem no desenrolar do jogo, isso é muito legal!! Além de fazer vc refletir sobre questões sociais/morais.

잘 만든 인디 게임

일단 스토리가 재밌고 볼륨도 그럭저럭 한국어 번역이 매우 잘돼 있음 양키식 유머 및 시민 및 마피아, 갱들과 동료 경관들끼리 야지 주는 대화들을 맛깔나게 번역함 랜덤 이벤트도 충실하고

다만 게임 방식이 천편일률적이라 열흘차 정도만 돼도 살찍 물림 이 단조로운 플레이를 버티고 마주하는 엔딩은 진짜 어처구니 없을 정도로 성의가 없음 ㅋㅋ 파크라이5의 미친 엔딩과는 다른 방식으로 충격적임

그래도 세일가 1600원이라 개추

It's a buggy mess of a busywork simulator with a simple and yet utterly infuriating mouse-based control system. There's a couple of nice ideas in here that will leave you wondering what might have been, but the mind-numbing repetition gets old way too fast. I'll give it an extra point for all the racist language.

이 게임은 2017년 그러니까 거의 9년전 게임이야. 그래, 9년이라는 버그를 고칠만한 긴 시간이 있었음에도 그 어떤 사소한 버그 하나 고치지 않았어. 개발자라는 존재는 게임을 팔고 끝내는 것이 아니라 문제가 있다면 해결해야만 되는 의무가 있다고 생각해. 우선 이 게임은 진행 불가 버그가 있어. 용의자를 체포하면 경찰이 오지 않아. 그런데 경찰이 용의자를 대려가지 않으면 나는 아무 행동을 할 수가 없어. 말 그대로 오후 6시가 될 때까지 제자리에서 가만히 서 있어야 돼. 또한 마피아가 몇시까지 이것들을 해 줘. 같은 퀘스트를 받으면 모든 일을 다 완료해도 진행이 안 돼. 그렇게 시간이 지나면 보상도 못 받고 욕도 듣고 호감도까지 줄어서 위험해져. 억울하기도 하고. 게임 자체는 재미가 있지만 9년 동안 버그 하나 고치지 않는 게임을 스트레스 받으며 해야 될까? 무엇보다 이 게임은 매우 불친절해. 공략을 보고 하지 않는다면 아주 어려워. 내가 동쪽 끝에 있다면 서쪽 끝에 시간제한 사건이 발생해. 그러면 너는 전속력으로 사건현장으로 뛰어가겠지만 시간상 절대 도착 할 수 없도록 설계되어있어. 사건을 해결하려면 미리 근처로 이동하는 수 밖에 없는데 그걸 공략을 안 보면 알 수 없잖아? 공략 없이 마음대로 플레이 한다면 스트레스 받을 일이 아주 많을거야. 2026년에 이렇게 버그 심각하고 불친절하고 어려운 게임을 출시했다면 압도적 부정적 평가를 받았을 것 같아. 이 게임은 그냥 운 좋게 일찍 출시한 럭키 게임일 뿐이야. 순전히 운으로 성공한 작품이야.

Beat Cop é um jogo muito bom, com ótima história, decisões difíceis e um clima único. Ideal para quem gosta de jogos narrativos, escolhas morais e experiências diferentes dos jogos tradicionais. (mas vale lembrar que ICE não é polícia comum. ICE é um órgão federal ligado à imigração (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), e não um departamento policial tradicional) .
