Also, the voice acting is so bad that I have to turn it off, skipping dialogue and the whole screen just sorta freeze, not being able to process until all the lines have been read. Funny is I can still see the minor movement like blinking and ears twitching.
PROS: enjoyable story, (occasionally) decent jokes, interesting concept, fairly entertaining story
CONS: bear's voice acting is truly awful and you unfortunately have to listen to it the entire game. (he is not the only character who suffers from awkward voice acting, but is by far the most egregious). unbelievably slow walking animation, most of the puns are very cringe and not funny at all, but this is subjective.
overall i am enjoying the game, but maybe mute it.

This game presented itself as a joke-filled point'n'click adventure of a child and her teddy bear, but OH BOY there's so much more.
Great voice acting, memorable characters, truly outstanding story told from a kid's perspective - overall, an amazing experience and a must-have for anyone who enjoys a good tale with a twist!
This game has a great concept, great art, and a great story to tell. However, it's severely lacking when it comes to pace and dialogue. Way too slow with way too many "funny" quips and puns, and poor voice acting. While muting the dialogue is possible for the first 2 parts, that doesn't seem to be the case for the 3rd part. Not fully, at least.

If you are into pithy point and click film noir style games? Boy howdy... Is this the game for you. Brimming over with fun little niche references to other games, movies, and a very tongue in cheek sense of humor, Bear With Me in probably my favorite game in the genre. The 4th wall in paper thin. The script is snappy and fun. 10/10 would recommend.

I personally longed for a bit more action and a less foreseeable plot to be honest. With that being said, it's not a bad game...just not my case.

I must say I do not recomend this game anymore. I thought the problem in episode 2 would be fixed in 3, but it was not. So the experience with the game is really bad without the dialogue sounds and it's not worth buying it, though it is a really nice game.

This is a really good game. If you have played Fran Bow or any similar, that's for you.
BUT I need to say that episode 2 is not as good as it should be, as the voices for the dialogues are not on. It's annoying, when you put episodes 1 and 2 side by side and compare them.
Beautifull story... but get ready to cry like a baby at the end.

По жанру это несложный квест, но пусть простота заданий вас не обманывает. Это затягивающая история с яркими персонажами, каждый из которых отлично и глубоко проработан. Сначала кажется, что все это - медвежонок-детектив, робот-рабочий из фабрики, собаки-копы, акулы-глава мафии и прочее - притча или сон главной героини, которая ищет своего брата. В каком-то смысле так оно и есть, только правда оказывается невероятной. Да, вы выясните, кто главный злодей этого Бумажного города, и да, вы найдете Красного призрака, но... Впрочем, умолкаю.
Приготовьтесь к финалу, он заставит вас рыдать.
Отдельно хочу отметить комиксные вставки между главами, невероятно сильно и стильно сделаны. Если вы любите квесты, психологизм, нуар и чуточку сюрреализма - бегите и играйте в Bear With Me не глядя.

It was OKAY. I wasn't that captivated by the storyline tbqh.. It felt very dragged out. Here are some issues I had with it:
1. The chat kept getting cut off. Basically, if you choose to listen to the characters talking instead of just clicking quickly through it, you'll hear the chat get cut off completely. It started to get really annoying.
2. It was a wild goose-chase but not in a good way. I get that you're supposed to use your imagination and your creativity to "solve" some puzzles but some of them felt very.. nonsensical.
3. It started off as a nior-based game.. I thought I was going to solve crimes and just go along with the comedic roleplay of a little girl and her stuffed animals playing NCIS. Then it got deep out of nowhere, as if they were like "Oh, let's make it like creepy/sad/meaningful instead of fun/whimsical/hilarious." Episode 3 did not go with the flow of Episode 1 & 2.
I guess my advice is, not everything NEEDS to have some creepy gorey wannabe evil looking content in it.. Should of just left it NCIS-like.. which I think it has a lot more potential of continuation (create different non-related episodes where Ted and Amber go out to solve crime.)
I'll still recommend it because it's not TERRIBLE and if you're an achievement hog, there are 65 achievements you can get with the help of a guide if needed.
Sad but an amazing game to play and enjoy.
A good, well formed story about a child accepting a great hardship and learning to move past it. True, some of the puzzles are easier than necessary and others offer no explanation for how to solve them beyond trial and error, but they serve their role well as a plot mechanic to help frame the story. If you enjoy this sort of game for the puzzles, you probably would be a bit disappointed. In terms of story, the only reason I don't want to see a sequel is because the "good" ending leaves the whole thing complete and it would ruin the sense of contentment I had for the main character's life.

I really liked this game. though at times it was difficult to craft items and thus proceed in the game. Amber and Ted were a lovely detective pair and I enjoyed their banter. It was fun to click on things and see what the characters thought about them - their opinions of common things and complains about my slow wit were refreshing.
Unfortunately I could guess the ending after episode 2 but it still had enough mystery elements to keep it satisfying to experience. I had a smile often on my face while playing this game and recommend it to someone who has enough patience to click on different things and ability to enjoy discovering small details and a bit cliche storyline.

BEAR WITH ME - Collector's Edition
Une petite fille de 10 ans, Amber, part à la recherche de son frère Flint dans la ville imaginaire de Papercity en proie à un fléau dévastateur nommé The Red Man. Elle sera accompagnée dans sa quête par son vieil acolyte, l'ours en peluche Ted E. Bear.
Une enquête sous forme de point & click à l'ambiance des films policiers hollywoodiens des années 50 où tous les rôles sont tenus par des jouets. On y retrouve tous les clichés, le vieux détective alcoolique, la serveuse rêvant de devenir actrice de cinéma, le maire corrompu... le tout dans une ambiance savamment travaillée et une histoire bien réalisée.
Une totale réussite.
A really, really incredible point and click game. The noir feel combined with self-referential moments and humor was really delightful, but the game also kept the tension throughout. Episode 1 feels more like a horror story, episode 2 like a murder mystery, and episode 3...is an incredible mix of both of them.

The humour and the noir style drew me to this game but the story is great too. Very emotional and it's actually best to just dive right in and play it without knowing to much about it. It 's a wonderful game with charming characters and a really emotional story. Solid puzzle design to. It has a few bugs and flaws though, the voice gets cut off on a few occasions and one time I lost my cursor...but those weren't deal breakers for me.

Bear With Me est un poin't & click incroyablement fort scénaristiquement parlant et l'esthétique aux petits oignons du scénario comme des personnages est également un vrai gage de qualité. L'humour noir, les énigmes agréables qui permettent le déroulement fluide de l'histoire, l'ambiance sonore et le gameplay très agréables ne sont également pas en reste et font de ce titre en noir et blanc un formidable jeu.
Les quelques défauts cités précédemment, notamment le soin relatif apporté à la traduction française qui fait rater quelques jeux de mots, viennent malheureusement édulcorer légèrement tous ces aspects positifs. Dommage car le jeu est vraiment excellent et est digne des plus grands titres du genre poin't & click... >> 16/20

Неглупый юмор, комментарии глав-героев по любому поводу, миллиард отсылок ко всему на свете, крышесносная стилистика, бронебойная ирония и мозговзрывающий сюжет, который начинается как пародия на детектив, а заканчивается...
Единственный минут - перевод. Он очень неровный. Местами выкинуты прям куски фраз. Местами ошибки и опечатки. Но особых проблем это не вызывает.
Загадки не особенно сложные и не мешают наслаждаться сюжетом.
В общем и целом, если вам нравится мрачная стилистика, сочные диалоги и качественный юмор - очень рекомендую к ознакомлению. Тем более что первый эпизод можно установить и пройти бесплатно. Но, скажу вам по секрету, во всю мощь сюжет развернется во второй половине эпизода второго)
В бесплатном первом эпизоде очень подкупил нуар, получилось очень стильно и качественно. Во втором эпизоде стилистика была продолжена с добавлением шизофрении. Третья часть просто скатилась в детские фантазии, шизофрению и воспоминания.
В целом, игра очень качественная и даже простые загадки тут к месту, ибо не затягивают прохождение и не ломают общее восприятие. Плохо то, что дают возможность выбора по разу в первых двух эпизодах, но потом может выясниться, что выбор игрока был проигнорирован, в игре просто иллюзия выбора, он влияет только на ачивку.
Игра не длинная, но свою цену оправдывает с лихвой.
This game is an interesting journey through the world in a girl's imagination through the mystery of her brother's disappearance that turns out to be more than what it seemed. The characters built are relatable and enjoyable through the gameplay interaction. This is definitely worth looking into.
I've enjoyed the climate of this game - it is full of puns. Exaggerated dramatics. The bear detective is an awesome guy. Amber is bearable (haha, hence the name). The graphics are lovely. However, it doesn't feel much like a puzzle - very easy or some of the riddles made no sense to me. The characters move very slow (even if you sped up by double click). The ending is not as tearful as people in comments made me think it will be. There are some scenes that I think were supposed to be jump-scares but were really not? BUT the story really kept me interested for the whole day so even though it is not perfect I believe it is worth playing.

Я честно сказать прониклась Медведем и девочкой, конечно её поведение мне слегка было непонятно в некоторых моментах [spoiler] (Когда она психанула и свалила хотя медведь чёто и ясно сказал что тебе не стоит искать своего братца..)[/spoiler] каждый персонаж действительно живой и "с характером" не в том смысле что они тут все [strike] "дадут тебе дрозда" [/strike] а в том что
[u] они не серая масса и сделаны на коленке [/u], каждый действительно тут нужен и важен и я теперь даже не представляю если бы они отсутствовали, зная что они были тут.
Квестовая часть тоже исполнена хорошо для данного жанра, и нет какой то нелогичности в спрятанных предметах. Опять же как мне кажется [b] Point & Click это хорошее дополнение для такой игры, главное всё таки это сюжет.[/b]
Озвучка тоже стоит своего внимания, она тут потрясная для каждого персонажа [spoiler] (Особенно у Акулы, меня аж в приятную дрожь бросает от его голоса, прокуренные баритон или даже бас делает Акула тем кто он есть, большой и влиятельный... человек???) [/spoiler] Скажу так: Озвучка подобрана просто отлично и наличие русских субтитров говорит нам о том что вкупе это всё выглядит потрясно ибо озвучка делает своё дело [i] (В первую очередь она делает характер персонажей, задаёт такой некий стереотип внутри тебя, что у больших людей голос низкий и грубый, что делает их ещё "больше и страшнее" а у низких - Высокий и писклявый. А уже во вторую очередь атмосферу, влиятельность в какой то мере самих персонажей.) [/i] [spoiler] (Взять ту же Акулу, его голос и интонация сразу говорит о том что "Я влиятельный чувак и вообще раздавлю тебя при первой же возможности своим весом, щенок.!!") [/spoiler]
Концовка игры вообще меня поразила и честно я даже подумываю перепройти её ещё раз дабы освежить память (Ибо в последний раз я проходила её летом 18.) а память у меня как у рыбки и я много чего уже не помню хдд

Интересная игра с интересной историей. Головоломки не особо сложные, что не отвлекает от сюжета. Сюжетная линия полна разных неожиданностей. Крч, о потраченом времени можно не жалеть

Рука не поднимется поставить коллекционному изданию "Не рекомендую", но всё же: лучший эпизод - первый. Постепенно квест теряет какой-то неуловимый шарм, вроде бы и неплохо - а "не то". Впрочем, может это только мне так показалось :)
Прекрасная игра. Столько эмоций я не испытывал уже давно.

Bear with me ist ein klassisches Point-and-klick-Adventure mit lässiger Atmosphäre a la "Casablanca" und einem coolen Soundtrack. Die Rätsel haben einen angenehmen Schwierigkeitsgrad. Hervorheben möchte ich, dass die Story zu einem wirklich befriedigenden, logischen und emotional mitreißenden Abschluss gebracht wird. Ich kann des Spiel sehr empfehlen.
Sau nices Adventure mit Atmo ner oken Story und viele Eastereggs.

Layer upon layer upon layer. Great story.
Nachdem ich bereits die kostenlose Demo (komplette Episode 1) gespielt hatte, setzte ich mich gestern an die letzten beiden Episoden und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Was für ein tolles Spiel. Die Interaktionen zwischen den einzelnen Figuren sind teilweise so lustig und spitzfindig gestaltet, dass man sogar einige der Bösewichte ganz cool findet. Die beiden Hauptfiguren sind so toll zueinander, dass sie einem richtig ans Herz wachsen und eine sehr interessante Story aufrech erhalten können.
Es gibt leichte bis schwere Rätsel, sehr viele Dinge zum anklichen (ernsthaft... tut es, klickt alles an!) und was mir persönlich am Besten gefallen hat. Die ganzen easter-eggs in dem Game. Schafft ihr alle zu finden und zu erkennen?
Man könnte es sicherlich auch noch mal spielen, da man an bestimmten Punkten Entscheidungen treffen kann, die den Spielverlauf etwas ändern. Wer gern die wirklich zahlreichen Steamerrungenschaften haben möchte, sollte dieses vielleicht auch tun :D

Un petit jeu franchement cool avec son univers bien particulier. L'histoire est sympa, des répliques assez étonnantes mais surtout drôles et innatendues. Des personnages... "Hauts en couleurs".
Un gioco semplice ma profondo, inoltre presenta diversi enigmi interessanti da risolvere che non si rivelano di certo impossibili, pure per me che non sono un amante di questo genere di giochi, di sicuro ci vuole un grande spirito di osservazione ed un po di perseveranza, mentre se volete ottenere tutti gli achievement uno sguardo alla guida di steam penso sia indispensabile.
In definitiva un gioco con una sua precisa personalità, cosa non da poco al giorno d'oggi, con un bellissimo rapporto tra i due protagonisti.
Un gioco che vale il prezzo e fa apprezzare l'esperienza vissuta.
Bear with me is a cute game, with alot of charm, and charisma. This is a game, with great puzzles and investigative motives. The comic book and art style are basic but effective. Could have had better animations/visuals.

This game is absolutely awesome. When I read the description and the name Ted E. Bear, I wasn't expecting much more than a shallow childhood story and some puns and jokes.
I certainly got the puns, but also a story that was surprisingly fascinating and had some really unexpected turns.
Bonus points for the voice of King.
realmente entretenido con un final que no me esperaba para nada, voy a rejugarlo cuantas veces sea necesario.
La estética es maravillosa e inmersiva. El guión está trabajado, la historia es buena y hace un balance equilibrado entre humor y drama, con la justa dosis de referencias de cultura pop. Es fácil encariñarse con los personajes, sobretodo con los secundarios. El ritmo a veces me falla un poco, muy lento y el final muy apresurado. La trama es oscura, cada vez más según se va ahondando en la historia.
En la versión en español hay algunos fallos, subtítulos que desaparecen o aparecen en inglés. Y (esto no sé si es solo cosa de mi ordenador, aunque se me hace raro porque tengo programas potentes que tiran sin problema) da problemas al cambiar de un escenario a otro si juego en pantalla completa.
Voy a tener que rejugarlo, porque me apetece tener todos los logros. Aunque en tema "rejugabilidad", está un poco regular, porque las pequeñas decisiones que pintan trascendentales luego no afectan completamente a la historia, más que para variar alguna que otra respuesta.
En resumen, el juego está muy bien. Merece la pena jugarlo, aunque podrían haberle sacado muchísimo más partido porque potencial tenía de sobra.
Amazing game, I just picked it at a bad time. Was playing something heavy, and wanted something light to balance it out. Oh, look, a little stuffed bear detective in a world imagined by a little girl who watches too many gangster/PI movies. This will be so cute. Yeah, for first 2 episodes, then it veers sharply toward Fran Bow territory in the final chapter.
Please note : this is not a mark against a well done game; I just was going in looking for whimsy, and got a much deeper and darker story than anticipated.
OMG, эта игра произвела на меня очень сильное впечатление, перевернула мой мир. Такое же ощущение я испытывала после Fran Bow, эти 2 игры похожи атмосферой и эмоциями. Bear with me - квест не для детей, хоть главная героиня и ребёнок. Название можно трактовать по-разному, что тоже бросается в глаза. Очень радует море отсылок на самые разные фандомы и разрушение четвертой стены. Атмосфера нуара воссоздана здесь намного лучше, чем в L.A. Noire.
Сюжет не длинный, но захватывающий и насыщеный событиями, послушать комментарии главной героини Эмбер и медведя Теда всегда интересно, они полны юмора и шуток. Мир, созданный Эмбер (разработчиками) поражает разнообразием, я сама до такого бы не додумалась.
Игра затронула душу, поэтому в финале я плакала. Великолепное визуальное и музыкальное сопровождение также способствовали прочувствовать мир игры.
Однозначно рекомендую к прохождению!
Un jeu excellent , pour pas trop cher , le premier chapitre gratuit est un peu court , et donne envie absoluement de découvrir la suite de cette histoire complètement barrée , avec des personnages à l'humour acide et au charisme indéniable.
Bref pour moi un petit bijou, avec une durée de vie assez longue.
L'ambiance et le design sont vraiment plaisants, je vous le conseille si vous aimez les point and click evidemment , et les ambiances films d'enquêtes.
This game gets professively harder, but the puzzles for the most part aren't too tough. That doesn't matter because the characters and concept are delightful, the voice acting is great and the story is innovative. There's also a twist ending that I never saw coming.
My only suggestion for the game designers is to clean up the grammar (tons of errors) in the subtitles or have an option to get rid of them altogether. I found them a little distracting.
Paper City - город контрастов.
С одной стороны, нуарный сеттинг, очень стильная картинка, годные катсцены-комиксы, заставляющие вспоминать первый Max Payne, саундтрек - всё это создаёт отличную атмосферу детективных комиксов и фильмов. Эту атмосферу не нарушает даже тот факт что главные герои - десятилетняя девочка и её плюшевый медведь, а действие игры происходит в игрушечном городе. Это лишь добавляет долю здорового абсурда, органично вписанного в мир игры.
С другой стороны, в игре много отсылок к фильмам, играм и поп-культуре. От незаметных ("это мистер Вульф... он решает проблемы") до целого второстепенного персонажа - пародии на Бэтмена. Также регулярно ломается четвёртая стена (в игре даже есть достижение с таким названием). Поначалу это забавляет, позже лично меня это начало раздражать, потому что не давало полностью погрузиться в атмосферу игры. Казалось бы, придирка, но сюжет в игре (несмотря на не самую серьёзную обёртку) затрагивает достаточно серьёзные темы, поэтому постоянные переключения между серьёзностью и легкомысленностью, на мой взгляд, не слишком уместны.
Загадки не вызывают особых сложностей. Самым сложным испытанием для меня было искать на чёрно-белой картинке (очень стильной чёрно-белой картинке, не поленюсь это отметить дважды) чёрно-белые предметы, с которыми можно взаимодействовать. Местами я скатывался до пиксель-хантинга. Сами же задачи достаточно логичные, и способы их решения не вызывают диссонанса, как, например, в Deponia.
Отдельно хочется отметить историю. Она, пожалуй, самая сильная сторона этой игры. Несмотря на некоторую предсказуемость, она способна затянуть, заинтриговать, заставить сопереживать героям. Диалоги написаны и озвучены так, что в слова, эмоции и поступки персонажей веришь (хотя, и не во все: [spoiler]чёрт побери, женщина, ты же знаешь, что у твоей дочери аллергия на бананы, зачем ты печёшь банановое печенье?[/spoiler]).
Приятно удивляет наличие в коллекционном издании (помимо стандартных артбука и саундтрека) дизайн-документов игры. Неприятно - отсутствие десятка достижений и коллекционных карточек из оригинальной версии.
Тем не менее, любителям point-and-click квестов я настоятельно рекомендую поиграть в Bear With Me. Сюжет, атмосфера, стильные декорации - это однозначно заслуживает вашего внимания.
Атмосферно, достойно, немного предсказуемо. Стоит того, чтобы играть!

Очень забавная игра о проделках подсознания. Что приятно, задания достаточно логичны, но действительно пошевелить мозгами пришлось раза три. Чудная атмосфера, ёмкие комментарии, приятная графика и не плохой сюжет.
What a nice game to spend your time! Interesting story that keeps you in, and some good puzzles ( not very difficult but not very easy) except 3 or 4 that may cause you some trouble.Play alone, play with a friend or your children, it doesn't matter,you will enjoy this game even if point and click adventures is not your thing.You will like (or love) all the characters,cause they are all well written, and the plot of course, helps on this.Have fun!
This is a fantastic blend of noir satire and puzzle gaming with a surprisingly nuanced storyline. Your choices for all characters matter and the environment is stuffed with easter eggs, so it's got great replay value, as well.
Amo amo amo amo questo gioco. Lo adoro dall'inizio alla fine. L'ho trovato divertente,dolce,accattivante e anche psicologico. Ho adorato l'idea di filtrare tutto con lo sguardo di una bambina e che venissero citati,o che addirittura intervenissero,i grafici. Consigliatissimo!
PS: Scrivo questo ps molto tempo dopo aver finito questo gioco. Ho scoperto solo adesso che esiste un gioco precedente a questo ("Anna's quest"),che aveva già usato il format bambina-orso-viaggio. Bear with me credo sia di livello superiore,ma credo anche che sia importante segnalare che certe combinazioni non sono così originali come credevo quando l'ho giocato.

The beginning was a bit rough, was overwhelmed by the dialogue, it was too massiv.
During the events it picked up it's pace, and the story began to unfold.
Was streaming it and we did enjoy the numerous references to songs and movies.
So many details caught our eyes!
We developed some weird theories about what actually could have happened,
spent time looking up references, that was fun, too.
Will surely be nicer to my old teddybear from now on, that's for sure.
The "noir"-setting was very suitable, the dialogues / voiceovers well matching.
Riddles have not been too hard, except for one, where I had to use uhm external help ~
It is a bit too quiet and missing some background music,
but you can easily cover that with noir jazz if you wish to.
Thank you, did really enjoy it and even had a big lump in my throat at some points.
Eine wunderschönes Point&Click-Adventure, das sowohl in den humorvollen, als auch den dramatischen Passagen (ins Besondere in Episode 3) überzeugt.

+ Ausgesprochen gute Sprecher
+ Nicht zu abgefahrene Rätsellösungen - zumindest größtenteils (mit 'nem Nagel - ernsthaft?!)
+ Gefühlvolles Ende
- Geschichte und Twist zumindest grob etwas vorhersehbar (nicht wirklich schlimm, die Story funktioniert trotzdem wunderbar)
Hasta hace bien poquito, este juego se podia adquirir por separado, pero no salía nada barato. Pero el 8 de febrero de este año (2018) han sacado esta edición, tan bonica.
Trae el juego completo revisado y traducido (solo textos, pero algo es algo), nuevos diálogos, objetos, la BSO, un guion, un pseudo libro de pistas de los puzles ¿como se hizo?, un libro de arte y más y enrevesados logros para steam. Me faltan 10 por conseguir, pero ya lo he rejugado 3 veces seguidas y la historia y sus diálogos a la segunda vez es bastante rayante...^^
El juego aunque tiene tintes infantiles, es muy adulto. No le recomendaría a ningún niño jugar sin un adulto a su lado...y a ningun adulto propenso a pesadillas tampoco se lo recomendaría. La historia se va tornando "chunga" y nada divertida a mitad del segundo capitulo, desembocando en un final desgarrador y que no me gustó nada, motivo por el cual lo rejugue varias veces, cambiando mis actos por si cambiaba algo...
Y no, aunque "feo" es el que tiene. Un único final...por mucho que hagas otras cosas.
El juego es muy divertido, y la historia de 10, la única pega, es que es muy cortito

Wow. This game absolutely blew me away. It did a fantastic job with the noir feel, and I was completely intrigued by the plot. I had no idea what was going to happen at the end, and I admit to some tears. The game play is fairly simple but it can, at times, be challenging to figure out what to do next. I really enjoyed the characters and became very fond of them, especially Ted. Though this game focuses on a 10 year old, there are heavy themes. This is a game well worth paying, especially for the amount I paid for it.
Genuinely interesting story with some laughs along the way.
