Algotica is an educational adventure-puzzle game about programming, along with a story that breaks the fourth wall. If you wanted to start learning programming but it seems too difficult to understand, you don't have enough time, or you're just not sure that you need it - this game is a great place to start.

The main aim is to lead a program named Lony from the start point to the end point of a level. This must all be done using only formal rules and logic of the in-game world - Algotica. Although the game seems simple, each new level has new obstacles and sometimes even new mechanics. With each new stage, you will use more advanced programming mechanics and understand more about programming and algorithms.

Если честно, то покупал игру очень давно, но так и не сыграл тогда. Но судя по другим обзорам - игра раньше была другой и лучше в целом. Я смог поиграть только в вариацию на момент середины 2025 года. Как такового - сюжета в игре нет, только пару строчек в начале и на 2 "секретных" уровнях. Никакого ломания 4 стены, о котором обещается в описании игры на её страничке я не обнаружил. Есть баги с музыкой и иногда с правильным выполнением команд. Сама игра из себя представляет по сути обучалку базового уровня по программированию. Аналогичные "игры" я проходил в школе на уроках информатики еще в далеких 2013-2016 годах. Правда в школе такие "игры" были по сложнее. Единственное, наверное, положительное отличие, что у этой игры более приятный и свежий визуальный стиль и оформление. Не знаю какой была игра в прошлой версии, но соглашусь с многими обзощиками, что эта версия игры не заслуживает траты денежных средств и времени. Скучно, хоть и красиво.

I can see why there is a lot of criticism for this game. Plenty of problems and bugs, The UI is really annoying and in many cases things just don't make too much sense. It might be a nice game if you have nothing better to do, but for the price its not really worth it in my opinion.
Sadly due to the poor UI and the game being kinda buggy the puzzles were not really that fun. Like the fact that, while a core part of the game being about optimising code, the player can easily circumvent using a line of code by use of a function which counts as one no matter how many times it is used.

Overall it is clear that this game has not really been tested much nor has it been updated since release.

This is such a weird game for me.
Could not even find the exit button for quite some time. Got to be honest, I can't recommend it. You just stayed to get complete the Steam Achievements, otherwise I would have deleted it after 20 minutes.

The basic control structures of programming relate to sequence, selection (aka decision making) and iteration. Algotica does a somewhat reasonable job at exploring only two of these constructs (namely sequence and iteration). While the game offers a fun platform to apply them, it would have provided so much more scope if at least *some* decisions were allowed. This wouldn't necessarily require a bunch of complex logic... even just a simple IF *obstruction* THEN *turn/reverse/jump* might suffice. Such a feature would have added more dynamism in the later levels¹. It could have also helped to make the game a little bit more 'lively' (no offence to the killer snails).

That being said, Algotica provides a cute environment with some clever variations on its construct mechanics (e.g. portals, cubes, valves… and snails). Overall, it's an enjoyable -- albeit short -- indie game that is largely worth its price tag.

Very nice little game! Knowing nothing about programming, I actually learned a lot and had a good time. I didn't experience any bugs or glitches and everything saved properly. Extra levels with extra notes were great (6_0 is brutal until you cheat it). Needless to say, I don't agree with the negative reviews and wouldn't pay much attention to them. Highly recommended!

Злюсь только из-за того , что во время задания команд ,когда я хочу переместить одну команду(или удалить её), не знаю по какому принципу,но смещаются БЛ**Ь все команды (может конечно я просто делаю , что-то не так). А так в целом хорошие задания, расслабляющая музыка и ,конечно , прекрасная графика. Всем советую!!!

Un juego a lo monument valley, mas simplificado y con "lineas" de acciones que insertas en una cola de ejecucion.

no esta mal, esteticamente es hermoso, la iluminacion, sonidos y musica tambien resaltan bastante.

No obstante el juego es un poco corto y repetitivo para mi gusto.

Hubiese sido genial que tenga workshop, se lamenta mucho su ausencia.

Je joue sur Linux. Version Linux : excellente.

[h1]Le jeu[/h1]

Un casse-tête inspiré par les concepts du développement logiciel. On donne des ordres (avance, tourne à gauche/droite, saute, ...) à un robot, qui va les exécuter pour se déplacer sur le niveau, activer des boutons, ramasser des objets, ... le but étant d'arriver sur la case de fin en ramassant tous les cubes au passage.

Les décors sont plutôt jolis, même si les effets de flou et de lumière sont parfois trop utilisés, on tombe dans l'abus. L'interface ajoutée par dessus pour la partie gameplay est [strike]moche[/strike] basique. Ce n'est pas bien grave. Par contre, ce qui est plutôt gênant, c'est que c'est peu intuitif... avant de comprendre ce que signifie les boutons liés à l'unique sous fonction, il m'a fallut quelques minutes. La compréhension devrait être immédiate.

Mais, le pire... c'est qu'il y a pas mal de bugs dans cette interface. Parfois on n'arrive pas à déplacer les commandes pour les réordonner comme on veut... ou bien il reste des commandes fantômes. Le mieux reste dans ce cas de tout vider, et de recommencer.

Il y a peu de niveaux, et le jeu est globalement assez facile sauf si vous voulez vraiment faire la chasse au nombre d'instruction, pour être au minimum possible. Il faut d'ailleurs économiser des instructions pour débloquer les différents chapitres (vraiment aucun problème pour ce qui est requis, c'est FACILE).

Aucune difficulté pour les achievements, il suffit de finir le jeu.

Un concept intéressant, mais l'exécution est ratée. C'est dommage, car le jeu avait du potentiel. Bien meilleurs dans le genre, je vous conseille plutôt Algo Bot qui reste assez simple, et si vous aimez la difficulté, Exapunks ou Selfless Heroes.

La version Linux est excellente, je n'ai rencontré aucun problème qui n'ai pas été mentionné par d'autres personnes utilisant Windows sur les forums.

It was okay. I played it for an hour and finished all the stages for the 0 and first level. I tried to exit and accidentally erased my file (the "Do you really want to" button <-- even though there's another yes/no prompt I was so eager to leave I didn't think about it!). Despite that... it may have been a blessing in disguise because I realized I had no interest in playing the game again and progressing. It felt slow to me (I felt like some of the stages were repetitive). The mechanics felt buggy - sometimes it wouldn't register my selection or I'd get an empty space in my list of commands. It is a pretty game and it is challenging... so if you really like puzzles, this might be something to try. I'm too inpatient though!

If this game were ever to be updated, it would be nice if you could hover over a level and see a preview of what stage it was and your best route (I don't think this pops up unless you finish the stage). Another good update would be the ability to see your best route. After finishing a level (which consists of many stages), I often had to revisit to make my routes more efficient... however I didn't know which ones I needed to work on!

Визуально красивые, но сумасшедшие загадки программиста – вот что такое Algotica. Глубокий сюжет ограничивается начальной заставкой в стиле матрицы с каплями текста. Ну да ладно – главная задача показать интересный мир программирования. Пользователь составляет стек команд, с помощью которого нужно провести героя к финишу. Команды будут только основные – спроецированные только на передвижение героя.

Визуально игра смориться очень хорошо - шатающиеся деревья, не повторяющееся окружение выстроено совсем не в блочном стиле, характерном для такого жанра. Туман, березки, развалены крепости не подчеркивают сюжет, но смотрятся красиво. Вот только пользовательский интерфейс выбивается из стиля и ужасно управляется. Нелепые области для перетягивания элементов, странный вариант запуска чуть ли не сразу убивает все желание составлять программу.

Все передвижение герой делает не математически, а физически (с помощью физики движка) - из этого всплывает целая куча неисправностей и недоработок – то герой убежит в кусты, то улитка двигается после остановки программы, величины прыжка задаются в попугаях и так далее. Циклов нет, приостановки выполнения программы тоже. Сами задачи несут сакральный смысл оптимизации количества команд для выполнения задачи – чем меньше команд установлено, тем лучше. Но само решение (по задумке автора) превращается в сумасшедшую логику, а не красивый алгоритм. Видимо потому что уровни нужно было прорабатывать лучше логически, а не визуально.

Эта игра не обучит вас или вашего ребенка программированию, она скорее покажет, как неправильно спроектированы многие программы, при этом они работают на результат. Тема актуальна для моего ребенка, но эту игру я не посоветую, правильного обучения тут нет.

Well, it works... Somehow. It is actually a little puzzle game where you need to crack the proper algorithm to run your robot through the field. Just as the store page promises.

The problem is - it feels too tiny. Hollow as well. Sure, there are nice visuals (until you reach levels when you can't see half of the field thanks to the developer will). There is even some story that you can, theoretically, save your princess at the end of the journey, but... there is no journey, actually. It is but a short line of levels that you can go through in about one hour or so. Maybe 2 or 3 hours, if you want to find the best solutions for every level and farm all Steam cards. But I can't really like that project or recommend it to anyone.

Considering the promised "educational" part of the game, well... I've tried that game on my preliminary school kids, and it was too easy even for their level. And I'm not bragging about how smart my kids are, no. They're just normal. It's " the "Algotica Iterations" that is too dull even for kids. So, as for mark, I'd say, 4/10, considering the hollow and unfinished nature of that project. Buy it only with a 90% discount, and only if you want some fast "complete" game behind your belt. Other than that... it's not worth the trouble.

At some point the game got overhauled, so some old reviews are inaccurate about content. But I'm here to tell you that as of March 8, 2020 [i]Algotica[/i] has serious problems and is not worth playing.

Graphics are great, audio is nice, I really want to like it, but the interface is [i][u]riddled[/u][/i] with bugs. I spent 30 minutes fighting the UI on a single level that should've taken <5m

[b][u]Achievement hunters beware[/u][/b]: As soon as you launch the game you'll get 1 achievement, which puts you on the hook for completing the whole game if you don't want it sitting in your library incomplete.

EDIT: As I fought the game for ~2.5h to get all the Achievements, I realized that it helps if you're willing to do everything in the UI at a snail's pace to give it time to catch up with you. I still think the game is a trainwreck at present, so I stand by what I wrote below. The UI remains so un-intuitive that I wrote a [u][url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2017391063]Guide[/url][/u] to explain it for anyone who does buy the game.

[i]Algotica[/i] gives you a simple graphical interface for programming your movements: you click commands ("Forward," "Turn left," "Jump" etc.) one by one to build the list of actions you want your character to take. The list displays on the left of your screen. Plan your movements, run your completed program, and get from A to B to complete the level.

You can also write a single sub-function on each level. For example, if you want to walk clockwise around a square, you would want to move "Forward" and then "Turn right" 4 times. Rather than doing this 4x and calling 8 distinct commands, you can write a subfunction that contains only 2 commands: "Forward" and then "Turn right." Then you call that subfunction 4x to build your list of actions. This saves on "memory" (the # of distinct commands you make), and saving sufficient memory across multiple levels is required to unlock the next world of levels.

The problem is that the game can't properly keep track of what you're doing in the UI. It tries to be friendly by allowing you to re-order commands in your list, rather than deleting from the bottom and starting over. It tries to be friendly by letting you drag commands off the list to delete them. But it's very unfriendly in that it cannot distinguish the two. So if you try to drag a command off the bottom of your list to delete it, the UI thinks you're trying to re-order it *in* the list, and it starts moving other commands around to make room for it. Then, when you successfully delete it, the UI leaves a "gap" where it thought you wanted to put that command in the list.

Also, deleting one command (e.g., "Jump" at one spot in your list) often causes problems -- all the "Jump" commands [i]anywhere else[/i] in your list go blank, even though they [u]are[/u] still in the list and [u]will[/u] be implemented if you run your program -- you just can't see them anymore. So now we've got 2 kinds of gaps in the list of commands: "true empty" gaps that just shouldn't be there, and "false empty" gaps that are hiding commands you can no longer work with.

The list only has space to display ~15 commands and you can't scroll through the list [u]even though you can program more than 15 commands[/u]. So just a few screwups like the ones described above fill the list with true emptys and false emptys, making the whole list useless. Since you can't [u][b]see[/b][/u] what's on the list, you can't fix it manually. You can either use the inexplicably hidden "CLEAR ALL" button to start over, or load another level and then come back to the one you were playing. And god help you if you haven't memorized exactly the list of commands you want to enter, because if you have to fiddle with it at all, you'll face exactly the same problem all over again.

"But Genghis, aren't you just a dummy? How hard could it be to just enter the correct sequence of commands the first time and avoid all these problems?"

[i]Algotica[/i] succeeds in capturing part of the "fun" of learning programming: you have to try stuff out to see what will happen before you can determine the correct solution. But the interface doesn't let you have any fun doing this.

Lastly: The lack of explicit tutorials or tooltips undercuts [i]Algotica's[/i] educational aspirations. You'll need a basic knowledge of programming logic beforehand to get anywhere.

Смотрю на Algotica - Iteration 1, которая была до обновления, и на вот это вот. Чувствую, будто меня конкретно *обманули*. Не помню, за сколько брал, но любой суммы жалко за такой огрызок. А особенно жалко время. Не знаю, на что в итоге я надеялся, проходя её. Никому не рекомендую. Лучше скачайте где-нибудь оригинальную версию.

I came back to the game after looking at it briefly quite some time ago. I don't even remember anything about it -- maybe it didn't even run before.

In any case, as it currently stands, I can't recommend this. The interface is clunky to the point of being unusable. And for a programming game like this, that's really inexcusable. Not only that, while some of the graphics look nice, they get in the way of seeing what you actually need to do/where you need to go.

This is such a niche genre that I hate to advise against something in it, but this just isn't worth it.

Despite nice looks, I won't recommend this game... At least for now. It certainly has a potential, but the execution is quite poor and raw. There are quite a few bugs in the game, which sometimes are irritating and make you restart the level, but nevertheless they aren't crucial (as in you can still progress through game, because those bugs occur only occasionally). Besides all the bugs, my laptop cooler starts spinning like crazy whenever I run the game. Putting that aside, I wouldn't say that the UI is that well-thought-out either. By that I mean, for example, that to exit the game, you need to first exit the level, then exit "the room", and only after that, after you OPEN SETTINGS, you can quit the game. Not the most rational way to do it in my opinion. Another issue is, if for some reason I am to write all the robot's actions one by one, they all don't fit in the zone where you have all your commands pinned down! And there is no option in this scenario to scroll down to see what you have in the end of your program! And there's many, many more of such mistakes.

The core idea with optimising memory and collecting free memory slots is cool, however, it isn't properly executed; it doesn't lead to anything. There is nothing in the end that may be saying "you've gained all free slots possible" or "there are still some slots to be gained" - neither in the end of the level nor in the end of the game, so after you beat the game you just sit there wondering "why was I collecting all those memory slots?"

Anyway, here's what I found good and what I found not that attractive about this game:

[*]- fix all the minor bugs (here's one of them: wanna know how to gain the most free memory? Just hit the "clear" button (red button on the robot) while it's running the program. It will stop exactly where you hit the "clear" button, but you will regain all the free memory slots. Not only that, but the nested function (F1) will not be cleared as well, so you will have potentially MORE memory slots to be used! When you write the program into the memory slots and hit "enter", the robot will start executing it exactly from the point where had been stopped. Note: don't hit "Break"!)
[*]- add the possibility to have more than one nested function (can be made so that it is unlocked when progressing through the game;
[*]- needless to say that the story is unfinished and calls for being continued;
[*]- when you open the level you've already beaten, make it so your old code shows up, so that you can analyse it for mistakes/ possibilities for optimisation.

In conclusion, it is clear for me that this game is too raw yet to be released, and should be in early access, not in "released" mode. The story isn't even in pre-born state, it just isn't there at all, and the game is still full of bugs and execution mistakes. Plus, I wouldn't say the game serves the purpose of "introducing you to the world of programming" that well either. Sorry, but that's a downvote for me for now.

P.S. Sorry dude, I do feel your way as well. When I read your post post from 24.06.19, I couldn't help but caught myself thinking "woah, can this dude read my thoughts?" The graphics in your games indeed look amazing, but unfortunatelly the interface and the code still pull the scales to the "downvote" review. Hope that "Selfloss" won't do these mistakes! You can beat it man!

This game was completely re-made in Feb 2018, so many of the prior reviews do not apply.

Decent game, but you need a lot of patience to trial & error then memorize, how the UI works - unfortunately it's one of the worst UI's I've ever seen.
Points to the developer for effort - game was made by 1 person as a hobby, while or just after he was a student.
And he re-wrote it pretty much from the ground up, because it was initially a buggy mess - I've not encountered any bugs in the re-worked version so far.

If you can get past the UI issues, there's a worthwhile game underneath...
For me, it's a thumbs up, just barely. As in, I'm glad I own it & can play it... but I wish the UI was much better. And it's hard to play for long, because of it.
For many others, it's probably a thumbs down.
Therefore, would give neutral thumbs overall if Steam had the option.

Wait for a sale, and only try it when you're feeling very patient. Maybe when you're willing to write down what does what in the UI.

В ее текущем (как выяснилось после просмотра истории новостей) состоянии игра не стоит вашего времени.

Не смотря на милый дизайн, приятную музыку и достаточно занимательные загадки, количество багов зашкаливает. Они же превращают не совсем интуитивно понятный интерфейс в мучение [spoiler](суицид улиток за край уровня; гг, который никак не хочет остановить выполнение команд; гг, который начинает выполнять команды с середины предписанного; глюки с интерфейсом - потеря команд, появление пустых мест на их месте в списке (которые потом еще и выполняться будут), самопроизвольное открытие окошка с функцией)[/spoiler]
Сюжета никакого сейчас нет, только 2-3 депрессивные записки, 4я стена цела - описание магазина как будто к другой игре.

Когда-то давно покупал эту игру. Она мне понравилась, но решил ее вернуть в магазин, т к мне казалось, что у меня недостаточно мощный для нее компьютер. Потом увидел ее на распродаже и купил. Это уже другая игра, хуже чем та, в которую я когда-то играл. В ней появились баги, из-за которых мне приходилось вручную перетаскивать 15 команд в мусорку(почему нет функции стереть код?), и может меньше самого программирования. Это не то, что я ждал от нее

O jogo é o que ele realmente diz ser: um jogo educational aventura-puzzle sobre programação. Para
quem não tem conhecimentos de programação, consegue perceber um pouco da lógica basica que move a programação
através deste jogo.

Hoje em dia já existem mais jogos com a mesma mecânica deste, e mais completos, no entanto este jogo é um bom
ponto de partida para alguem que queira começar a aprender um pouco de lógica para aprender a programar.

a pena, não me arrependo, no entanto o preço normal do jogo eu nunca pagaria por ele (atualmente 5.69€).

Я -- один из "отложивших игру до лучших времен". Помню первую версию -- было весело, интересно, удобно. Пришли "лучшие времена". Открыл...потыкался минут 10. Не смог играть -- баги, уехавшая нафиг верстка(кто-то оконный режим тестировал вообще?), лагающий интерфейс, отсутствие какого-то интерактивного взаимодействия с персонажами (где они вообще?..). Старую версию можно было рекомендовать, ЭТО -- нет.

The game isn't terrible by any means, you can see the workings of a great game, however it feels very clunky and a bit unfinished. The art is beautiful and it feels like the most work was put into that, but the rest of the game is... functional, mostly.... Firstly the game isn't translated very well, this is immediately obvious upon first starting it up, the game tries to get across a 'story' but the English is... 'broken' at best. Surely it's not that tricky to get somebody to correct a few lines of English for you?

Next is the fairly mediocre UI, although the game itself is quite simple, it doesn't do a great job of explaining what you're meant to click on and what button does what. The icons are a bit odd and the game even has to remind you to 'Click on the robot and then click on the yellow button' because it's not immediately obvious where the 'Go' button is. Since this is the most core aspect of the game I feel this is the kind of thing that needs to be instantly understandable by a player, but Algotica doesn't do this well. Other various UI elements don't look great and don't really work very well either, you can open windows and parts of the UI but it's not obvious how to close them, some UI elements feel way too large etc...

The game is also a bit... eh. It doesn't feel that much fun, the feedback isn't great and the levels can get a bit tedious and repetitive. Couple that with the tricky to use UI and it gets tiresome quickly. It was fun for about 15 minutes before I got tired of it honestly.

Эта игра очень хорошая игра в которую стоит поиграть всем, я бы сказала если это была-бы правда. Если ВЫ думаете что это игра легкая то глубоко ошибаетесь. Здесь нет не чего кроме, доставить робота в пункт А в пункт B, и просто пройти уровень.

Краткая предыстория: Как только ВЫ начинаете играть вам показывают несчастную пару на грани "развода", они пытаются помирится благодаря виртуальному миру, а ВЫ тем временем будете управлять роботом.

И у меня есть и плюсы и минусы.
минусы:
-это игра для программистов (не я серьезно, хотя потом привыкаешь и Норм становится)
- Локации однообразны
- ну и музыка на любителя (пришлось ставить свою, чтобы не уснуть)

плюсы
+ Красивые локации
+ Для любителей головоломок и небольшого программирования (назад, вверх, вправо и т.д.)
+ Оригинальный и интересный геймплей как и сама задумка одного человека
+ Пыталась найти прохождения, но его нет
+ Огромный мир (который я не увидела в силу того что мне было Лень дальше играть)

Был какой-то трейлер, показывающих изначальный мир этой игры, как и других союзных персонажей и совсем другие уровни. Пройти игру можно (Последние уровни мне было впадло до игрывать)
Даже не смотря на минусы этой игре, в неё можно играть, только сначала нужно в ней разобраться, а там будет дальше легче.
Моя оценка 7/10

评论中一些朋友说和编程没有P关系，我想澄清一下，少儿编程思维的培养第一步就应该是指令与动作的对应关系，你们可能想复杂了，编程教育并不是教给孩子如何写代码，是要考虑认知能力，分年龄分层次推进的。在这一点上，本作做的不错！
游戏本身，稍显简陋，但是很漂亮，多边形风格很像苹果的那个系列课程，尤其考虑一个人开发的情况下，必须赞！
另外，本人建议开发者，既然定位在编程教育游戏，那就在教育上下足功夫，着重与孩子的交互，并提供相应的配套资料来辅助孩子学习，如果有一个系列课程，相信会有另一片市场等待你！现在少儿编程其实并没有一个很好的作品

Перед покупкой я почитал отзывы, посмотрел геймплей на ютубе и какого было мое удивление когда я запустил игру. Юмора и ломания 4 стены и в помине там не оказалось! Только 3-4 абзаца текста намекающих на драматический сюжет и чуть больше 20 простеньких уровней. Сложность же достигается благодаря багам от которых, в лучшем случае, отделаешься удалением списка действий и воспроизведением его по памяти, в худшем же придется перезапускать уровень. Не обошли баги и достижения - при подборе функции прыжка ачивка не засчитывается, даже несколько раз пролистал все уровни чтобы убедится, что ни какого другого прыжка я не пропустил. Да и в принципе подбирая новые функции использовать их особо негде, возможно автор лучше раскроет их в будущих уровнях.

Unspielbar... was ist den da passiert, das war angeblich mal ein gutes Spiel, jetzt kann man nur die ersten 5 Aufgaben lösen.
Wie das geht, erklärt das Spiel nicht aber nach einigen Experimenten - wer kommt schon auf die Idee das man auf ein weißes Kreuz auf einem weißen Monitor klicken muss um das Spiel zu starten(???) - geht es richtig los mit
planlosem geklicke ... nicht etwa um die Aufgabe zu lösen ("forward" steht ja schon auf dem Block) sondern weil das Benutzerinterface ohne Erklärung und ohne erkennbaren Sinn daher kommt. Gut, die paar klickbaren Elemente hat man schnell durch und die folgenden vier (vor unglaublicher Langeweile strotzenden) Level auch ... dann landet man wieder in dem unseeligen Raumschiff(?) ... weißer Steren auf weißem Moniter (was sonst) .... und könnte das ganze noch mal machen ...
Ob man es nun gut gemacht hat, überhaupt gemacht hat oder sonst eine Reaktion darf man sich aber nicht erhoffen.
Zumindestens ein Klick auf "Beenden" funktioniert anstandslos ... und jetzt kommt die größere Herausforderung, zum ersten Mal ein Spiel zurückgeben - kann auch nicht komplexer sein als Algotica!

Pomysł nienajgorszy - wykonanie fatalne.

Poza pomysłem, dobra (chociaż prosta) jest tylko grafika poziomów. Niestety "pokój" i interfej użytkownika wglądają okropnie. Dodatkowo sam interfejs wyświetla się poprawnie tylko i wyłącznie na ekranach/oknach 16/9. W 16/10 jest poucinany i częściowo przesłania się wzajemnie a w 4/3 część jest zupełnie niewidoczna a przesłanianie się elementów jest jeszcze większe.

Niewygodne jest rówinież samo pisanie programów - a dodatkowo niespójne.

Oprawa dziękowa jest bardzo słaba. Efekty dzwiękowe są co najwyżej poprawne natomiast muzyka jest fatalna. Nie da się też jej wyłączyć - mimo zaznacznie odpowiednie opcji w czymś co udaje ustawienia.

Niestety Algoticy brakuje do innych gier "programistyczny" typu "Human resource machine", "TIS-100" czy "Shenzen "I/O" bardzo dużo. W obecnym jej stanie nie mogę jej polecić. Jednakże przy pewnej ilość pracy włożonej przez autora można by z niej uczynić grę całkiem przyjemną - może nie na poziomie tych wcześniej wymienionych, ale całkiem dobrą.

Infelizmente minha experiência com Algotica é bem descrita pelo outro usuário com nick nescau_nesquik ( https://steamcommunity.com/id/nescau_nesquik/recommended/593330/ ), é confuso e não é simplificado como diz para "criança", não é agradável, principalmente de início naquela sala (aquela trilha que toca ao fundo é medonha para uma criança, desculpe), até engrenar para como funciona é um marasmo. As imagens no demonstrativo é de fases avançadas e para completar é um terror também. Sinceramente esperava mais... compre numa mega promoção, como fiz, não farei reembolso, talvez um dia eu pegue o melhor para algum usofruto futuro da ideia desperdiçada aqui e para tantas possibilidades perdidas de público.

Что случилось с этой игрой?
Я видел её на выходе, она тогда ещё называлась "Algotica - Iteration 1" и там был хороший юмор, ломающий четвёртую стену, ну знаете, как в аннотации к игре.
Был клёвый трейлер показывающий союзных персонажей и совсем другие уровни, нежели те, что есть сейчас в игре!

Ну а теперь, это проходная головоломка с претензией на программирование.
Нет ни сюжета, ни юмора, ни смысла.
Короткая, на 3-4 часа.

Программирование крайне простое и скудное.
Оно, как эти программы для обучения на уроках информатики типа "Черепашка" и "Кенгуру".
Только ещё проще, например тут нет команды "Если".
Но я не могу отрицать, что идея такого геймплея оригинальна и интересна.

А ещё присутствуют баги.
Почему-то не дают достижение "Jump, jump, jump" за подбор команды "Jump".
При перетаскивании мышкой слов, пропадают и заменяются остальные слова в столбце и приходится всё удалять и составлять всё заново, что крайне раздражает.
Ломаются тайминги движения объектов (особенно заметно на самом последнем уровне главы 2).
И это я ещё не говорю про стрёмный дизайн интерфейса.

Оригинально, но не рекомендую.

Nice idea, but horribly executed.

The HUD is bad and clearly made for smartphones. There's no button to close menus, they close automatically after a few seconds. So while you're looking at the level, "writing" your "code", the menu suddenly closes and you have to reopen it again. The code sometimes seems to rearrange itself so you'll have to delete it - there's a button for resetting it entirely, but if you want to delete single lines, you have to drag & drop each one into a bin - because you simply lose the entire overview.

The translation isn't the best. The "Start a new game button" is called "Do you really want to" and when you click it, a message pops up "Do you really want to start a new game?"
Same issue in the German version. Everytime I start the game or go back to the menu, it reverts all my changes, i.e. the language is German again and the 2 options "Smartphone Mode" and "Mute Music" are checked. The latter one isn't an issue because the values are reverted - checked means unchecked. If you want to mute the music, deactivate the option "mute music".

Now those aren't huge issues that would keep me from playing, even though the self-closing menus are annoying. The riddles are nice, the music and sound effects are beatiful, I absolutely love the graphics. But there's one thing that made me uninstall the game after 30 minutes.

In each level you have limited memory, i.e. if you have a memory of 5, you can "write" 5 lines of code such as "Forward", "Turn left" etc. You often don't need all of them, so you can save memory in each level which will add up to your total score.

The problem is, this score isn't optional. Even though this game gives you additional memory for each puzzle you aren't allowed to use it.

World 1 has 5 levels and you need to save 5 memory in order to unlock world 2. World 2 has 10 levels and you need to save 25 memory in total to unlock world 3. When I finished world 2, I only saved 23 memory in total. Now what do I have to do? Replay old levels and beat my highscores, of course. The problem is: I don't know, which levels I have to repeat. The game doesn't give me any feedback on whether I found the optimal solution or not. Even worse: The game doesn't even tell me my score in each level. This means that I'd have to replay 15 levels, again and again, trying to find faster solutions, hoping that the best I find is the optimal one.

I spent less than 30 minutes to play through 15 levels almost perfectly and now the game wants me to spend at least an hour more with trial & error, replaying everything I played before, just so I can progress further. And that's simply not worth my time.

Just add some simple feedback to the level selection screen and this whole issue is fixed.

I clearly don't recommend the game, as in its current state the progression system is too flawed. It's a shame because the visuals and the atmosphere are simply beautiful.

Btw, there's an achievement "Find the jump command" you can't unlock because you have this command from the beginning. According to the Steam forums, the latest remaster update broke it.

Disgusting.

The implementation is very bad. Achievements do not work. The developer spit on the game.
The levels are easy and pass quickly. The game is kind and beautiful, but done worse than on the Flash-games. Graphics settings absolutely do not affect anything. FPS is disgusting anyway.

If you want to learn "programming" it's better to choose another game.

The art is beautiful, but otherwise this game is very obviously unfinished: the "plot" is just a few very poorly-proofread blurbs, with no conclusion, extremely buggy and fussy UI (literally mspaint rectangles, often unresponsive, unintuitive, elements stretch off-screen, etc.), and it's trivial to trigger buggy behavior randomly (e.g. restarting when a snail is mid-move can make it continue the move after the reset when the game is supposed to be paused).
The developer clearly just got tired of working on it and released the work in progress, which is ultimately like 60% of an actually releasable game. It was dishonest of him to not list this as Early Access at the very least.

Я давно приобрёл игру.
О, какая же прекрасная атмосфера там была! Приключения, цели, поиски по миру, попытки взломать сундуки, когда ты ещё не должен был этого делать. Ни один баг меня не раздражал - практически каждый можно было использовать для прохождения, отчего становилось ещё интереснее. Незадокументированные возможности, так сказать.
Время шло. Что-то разработчик исправлял, что-то нет. Была надежда на DLC, о котором недвусмысленно были расставлены намёки в игровом мире.
Но нет. Выпущена новая версия, с новой концепцией, мир стал меньше. Никаких игровых друзей, квестов, интереса. Унылая, всё такая же забагованная и неоптимизированная игра.

Ты создавал прекрасное, разработчик. И ты его убил. Меня даже не столько смена концепции печалит, сколько отсутствие какого-либо профита от этого.

В общем, проходите мимо. Эту игру не стоит покупать.

Algotica se mostrou ser uma grande decepção para um jogo que visa ensinar o básico de lógica de programação. O jogo não possui clareza nas instruções, e no começo você realmente fica perdido sobre o que deve ser feito. Além disso o jogo não parece muito otimizado, parecia que o jogo reiniciava desde o começo, pois mesmo terminando o tutorial, não foi possível ir para as outras fases. Dava a impressão de que não contava o progresso feito e isso era muito frustrante. Joguei em inglês e dá pra perceber a falta de coerência na gramática, o que me faz pensar que foi tudo traduzido pelo google tradutor.

A interface, para mim, foi a pior de tudo isso. Não fica claro as coisas que podem ser clicadas e muito menos há uma identidade de formas, dificultando ainda mais o entendimento do jogo. Não há a necessidade de que as regras do jogo sejam feitas por meio de texto (o que é bem chato na vdd), porém a falta de uma mostra de como jogar aliado a péssima interface faz o jogo dar uma experiência muito ruim ao jogador.

Comprei o jogo pelo visual bonito e pela proposta do jogo (ensinar lógica de programação), mas o mesmo falha em muitos quesitos, deixando muito a desejar. Por ser um jogo com cunho educativo é realmente difícil aprender alguma coisa com ele, além de claro, aprender a se frustrar.

There are much better programming games out there. One's that don't leave you guessing as to the basic rules of the damn thing. It doesn't even bother to tell you how the jump command works (tip: it takes an int as an argument) and even when you know how it works it leaves you to guess by trial-and-error just what argument to use.

Without a better tutorial that explains the basic rules, this is just not worth the effort.

I would really like to recommend this game. But as you can see from all the other reviews, this game has/had a ton of bugs. The bugs actually prevented you from beating levels and subsequently the game, but I managed to persevere to that last level because I genuinely enjoyed playing it until I found out that it was actually unbeatable in its previous state. However, I had faith that there would be updates to fixit and that I would eventually be able to finish the game.

Supposedly, the "Remasterd" versions fixes a lot of things, but you'll have the play the whole game again because your old save will not work. All the progress I originally had is now gone. And frankly, considering how broken it was before, would not trust that it's actually fixed this time, and I am not going to risk playing it to find out it's still broken and unbeatable. Save your money.

I got this game at a discounted price of like 3 bucks. It still wasn't worth it. The game has some potential if you like programming games, but it is far from ready for release at this time. This should be in early access.... Very early access. So far this is literally the only game I have had to request a refund for.

There are essentially no instructions/explanations in the game. There are two 'programming modes' one disparagingly called kids mode, which it is apparently not possible to complete the game with. And another that requires you to type out commands (which I'm ok with since I type quickly) however. Even with this I had to look up a walkthrough just to get through one of the tutorial missions because the game does not tell you vital information about how it works.

Плюсы (субъективная точка зрения, помните об этом):
+ Программирование для не программистов
+ Приятная графика и звук
+ Сюжет
+ Разумный баланс между простотой и сложностью

Минусы - это баги:
- Туговатая отзывчивость на нажатия
- Нельзя ничего другого сделать во время выполнения алгоритма, надо его останавливать
- Смена мест команд вызывает баг с пропаданием одной из них и замещением другой - приходится с нуля всё переписывать, что дико бесит, поэтому приходится писать всё сразу и без ошибок

Кстати, небольшой совет - посмотрите на ачивки и изучите все команды, тогда будет проще с самого начала писать короткие алгоритмы.

Played (well... more accurately TRIED to play) for 45 minutes. Never got past the tutorial - only suggested help was to "optomize" the code.

The new story shows signs that google translate was used to get the english version. Lots of poor grammar and strange phrasings...

I tried to play a few times. First time I ran the game, it did not register when I completed a level (the robot walks over the target and falls off - fails the level).

After restarting, the next try it did register. This after spending time to discover that the numeric keypad "Enter" key does not run the program - you must use the keyboard one (just beside your shift key).

Eventually got to the last level of the tutorial(?) levels and completed it. But the rest of the game is locked because the code apparantly isn't optomized enough. Unfortunately, there are more cows on the moon than there are characters of instructions for this game.

Given the intended target is people looking for simple programming and logic solving, most of that market will not get past the first level, never mind the tutorial. (It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to even get my program to run...).

Keeping in mind that this is a programming game, you must type in all commands. But if you make a typo - don't use the delete key! It will erase the instruction and you need to start over. To add commands you need to click on a plus button to put up a text box, type in the command, then click for the next box, repeating until complete. Very awkward programming this way since you can't use just the mouse nor just the keyboard.

There is an option to use "touch" mode so that you can just click on isntructions to add them, but this even has 2 drawbacks - you can't edit commands (some take a parameter - but not if you use touch mode), and for some insane reason you have to keep clicking on the button to bring up the list of commands every second command (or even every command). It auto closes about 2 seconds after your last click on it.

All in all, the present form (and yes, this is the remastered version I'm talking about) is still way too far in early access mode to be considered a real release, despite being released (originally) a year ago...

I'll check back on it in a week to see if anything has been improved, otherwise I will refund it.

Edit: After dev feedback, it seems that this logic game is intended that you try random things to determine how the processing logic even works. No documentation of syntax, no explanation of program flow - these things are considered "lazy tutorial" concepts.

Sorry, just not my thing - Take a look at any Zachtronics games and see what real documentation looks like. No lazy tutorial in them, but full explanation of how the code is processed, and syntax of every command. How you actually solve the problems is up to you. But at least guessing how the system works is not one of the problems.

Refunded as Algotica is not what I am looking for in a logic puzzle game.

I want to start this review by saying the idea of remastering a game already released and bought feels wrong to me.
I bought the game under a pretense of what that game was. The ramaster hasn't changed too much from what the game was before, but it completely deleted the old save and changed the story completely. That this was a remaster that deletes the old game completely and not just a new game released under a new title surprises me.

However, it's a good surprise. The old Algotica was ♥♥♥♥. If i cared enough, i would have written a negative review about the lovely visuals and problematic everything else.

I'm not sure if the new story is a direct upgrade. Instead of you piloting your robot because of this silly robot rebellion inside th computer, we're a human transfering our conscience into a virtual world looking for an (ex?) girlfriend. The new story isn't as cutesy and charming as the old one, but it packs a bit more punch.

In terms of gameplay there's a lot of improvement. This game is all about writing code to direct your little robot from the start of a level to the end. Before the remaster, I had no idea why you had an option to make you write out all the code in writing boxes before instead of just pressing the buttons to make the code for you. Using the button commands is a lot faster and easier (although it does make the coding feel less authentic). The 2x speed is a really nice addition for this sort of puzzle leveL, but the best part is that rediculous buggy overworld is gone. While selecting levels from a menu is more boring, i'm not confused about what levels i should do to unlock what commands and the game isn't crashing.

There are still a bunch of issues i have with the game. I noticed forward(x) increments when you hit enter to run the code, which means your code is changing as you run it (very silly). If you add commands too quickly the command list will bug out and occationally delete code. The way to start running the code is unclear. On the first level it took me 2 minutes before realizing i had to hit a physical keyboard button to start the level. I would love it if some text popped up in the tutorial saying "Press enter to run the program." Having to click on the robot for the options menu feels akward and unintuitive. The level design feels a bit too linear. I understand that optimizing your code is a big part of the game, but i feel very limited in my options and the decision making process isn't very interesting. Needs a bigger variety of interactions, or have the existing interactions have more applications than what is explicitely asked by the level. Just something to up the complexity and make the puzzles a bit more interesting.

Overall, it's an improved puzzle game with a fun coding theme and nice visuals. Really pleased.

This is a clever little game that has been executed well (in the remastered version, at least), especially for a one man project it's quite impressive, and the fact that the developer didn't abandon it, but rather put in the work to redo it properly is commendable (and helped tilt the buying decision in his favor). The music is mellow, the art (as shown in the trailer) is high quality low polygon and pleasing to the eye.

Complaints about game breaking bugs in older reviews seem to have been resolved. I've made it to stage 2 in about three hours (although there's a branch level in stage 1 that I can't figure out how to access yet) without running accross any obvious ones. I will update this review after I finish a few more stages, as I'd like to see how this pans out.

A key factor to be aware of is that the bot's programmed actions are executed only upon reaching an action point (dot), and that in some cases (haven't yet figured out the logic for this completely), the bot will take a default action upon reaching a point, even without a specific instruction; you can get your bot into an infinite loop that way (which is interesting). Watch how the bot behaves, carefully, and you'll find the key to solving some of the levels (and earning the spare memory blocks required to advance).

[b]Note:[/b] entering commands is kind of clunky; you have to retype the full command each time you use it (or copy and paste the text), and that gets kind of tedious (suspect I may actually have to figure out how to program macros into my SteelSeries). At the very least, the developer could enable abbreviations (f, b, tr, tl), although I think the suggestion in another review for an interface that lets you drag and drop pre-typed commands makes sense. This is a minor gripe (at this point); as an amateur mobile-app developer myself in the middle of developing a similar "build a program" interface, I understand that finding the right UI paradigm for this is a pain.

FYI, if you like this game, I'll bet that you'll like "Knights", it is also a "puzzle" game, and has a similar feel to it in many ways.

I enjoy programming/instructions games like "SpaceChem" and "Human Resouce Management". However I cannot love this game for what it is.

I felt that in the games I mentioned, the question that they gave you is more interesting, changing stuff to this and that. As for this game, it just asked you to move to the end goal.

The controls for this game is not very good either.

I got my first refund for this one.

It looked very nice, and it's an impressive piece of work from a single developer. I reeeally wanted too like this, but couldn't bring myself to continue, because it was too easy, and therefore boring. Maybe it gets more difficult later on, but you can't even really rush through the easier levels, because you're limited by the robot's slow movements, the narrative and the repetitive typing. You're basically just typing a recipe for the robot to follow, instead of playing with algorithms.

This game could learn a lot from the flash game Lightbot. Have the commands as icons to click (maybe have the gameplay settings option to write the whole thing as code, but in a proper sort of editor instead of having to switch between keyboard and mouse constantly), and add a fast forward button so we're not forced to wait for the bot to slooowly turn around, and slooowly take each individual step. Heck, the entire tutorial should be skippable.

現在プレイできるのは、私が以下でレビューしている初期版とは異なります。
昔はAlgotica Iteration 1という名前でした。
おそらく[url=https://steamcommunity.com/games/593330/announcements/detail/1666765335129244762]2018年2月9日のリマスター版[/url]の変更だと思うのですが、ステージ数もかなり減っているしよりつまらなくなっています…どうしてこうなった。
昔はバグを利用してクリアするとか、作者の意図しないところで楽しんだりはできていましたが、今のバージョンは単に不親切で短いパズルゲームです。ストーリーも無くなってしまっているし。
(初期版プレイ時間30時間程度、現在バージョンは2.5時間程度でクリア)

エンディング到達しました。

バグがありそのバグを回避するために多大な労力を必要とします。
一度失敗するとロードを挟んでリスタートする必要があり、非常に時間を無駄にしている思いになりました。

序盤のチュートリアルは親切なのですが、そこを過ぎると私自身の英語能力が低いのを差し引いても説明が投げっぱなしな感じになり、試行錯誤時のロード時間の長さも相まってストレスが溜まりました。

上記2点の合わせ技で、バグなのか仕様なのか分からない箇所が複数あり、それを判断できる程度のプログラミングリテラシが必要だと感じました。

その他、論理パズルかと思いきや後半はジャンプの距離やタイミングを計る必要のあるステージが多く、最終的なゲームの感想は「ジャンプタイミングゲー」です。
これはゲーム紹介から受けるゲーム内容と大きく異なるのではないでしょうか。

きっちり仕上げてくれれば素晴らしいゲームになったのだと思いますが、今の状態では未完成なゲームであると言わざるを得ません。
グラフィックデザイン、BGMは素晴らしいのに、非常に残念です。

以下、2017-09-11(ver1.1.5)時点で自分が気づいたバグと対処法(あれば)について記載します:

1. jump(x) コマンドで、xの部分の数値が正常に認識されなくなることがある。
どんな数値を入力しても固定距離しかジャンプできなくなります。
returnコマンドなどで一旦フリーメモリエリアに戻れば直ります。
あるいはjumpの代わりに引数付きのjump(8)も同じ距離が飛べるように思われます。

2.視界に入ると倒される敵で、視界に入っていないはずなのにダメージを受ける。
何回かやり直すと上手くいったりします。

3.特定のステージでBGMが突然止まったりする。
対処法不明です。

4.上下移動する床に乗ったはずなのに突き抜けて下に落ちてしまう。
対処法不明です。メインストーリーには関わらない枝道のようですが、対処法が分からないのでそれより先に進めません。

5.(一部を除き？)実績取得不能。
対処方法不明。

また、これはバグかどうかわかりませんが、jump(x)のxの数値は、小数値が受け入れられます。
従って、かなり細やかな距離の制御ができる、ということになります。
意図しているのかバグなのかわかりませんが、ステージのギミックを利用せずにジャンプだけでクリアできることも…

모뉴먼트 밸리를 연상시키는 그래픽이 마음에 들어서 구입했는데 플레이방식은 전혀 다른 게임이었습니다.

로봇인 로니를 조종해서 퍼즐을 풀어나가면 되는데,조종하는 방식이 일정 커맨드를 입력해서 나아가게 만드는 방식입니다.
예를 들어 Ctrl+1 키를 눌러 입력칸을 생성한다음 forward를 입력하면 앞으로 나아가고, backward를 입력하면 뒤로 가는 등의 식입니다.
게임 설명에도 써져있듯이 프로그래밍 특화적인 게임이며,실제하는 프로그래밍처럼 복잡하지않고 커맨드만 입력하면 되기때문에 플레이는 비교적 간단한 편입니다.
단,각 맵에서 커맨드를 입력하는 횟수가 한정적이라 어떤 상황에서 어떤 커맨드를 입력해야하는지를 좀 고민해봐야합니다.

프로그래밍이나 수학에 자신있다면 손쉽게 퍼즐을 풀어나갈 수 있을것 같고,자신없더라도 간단한 플레이 방식으로 머리를 쓰며 풀어가는 퍼즐게임이라 퍼즐은 좋아하신다면 추천합니다.

Однако, хочу посоветовать разработчику переосмыслить хоткеи. Например, давать юзеру самому их настраивать. Лично мне очень неудобно нажимать Ctrl + 1, чтобы добавить ещё 1 строку кода. 1.游戏的内容比我想象的多了不少，居然是多分支，完成第一关后来到的XX空间(不记得名字了Orz)居然是一个类似传火祭祀场的枢纽，四通八达，有很多东西等待自己发掘探索，让我非常惊艳。

2.目前玩到Logic的关卡，然后智商捉急卡关了~怀疑是有两条True和False的指令得去其他空间搜集~不知道有没有大神以后可以出个教程啥的，我当个吃瓜群众233~

P.S.
1.必须要吐槽的是游戏的优化问题，画面设置的fastest，CPU占用率100%。

2.游戏里小人的移动只有4个方向，操作起来迷之尴尬，视角固定，强烈建议以后添加视角转换！

3.游戏里偶尔有一些小bug，比如装有Attack指令的那个箱子，我第一次开的时候二位数密码从00到99全试过了居然没开？关掉游戏重新试了一次，箱子才开了（这个bug很严重，没有attack指令直接要卡关的）

4.汉化完成度不高，生硬，机翻痕迹有点严重，新更新的内容还是俄语，而且有些笔记的中文字体小的和蚂蚁一样，我调成英文才显示正常大小字体

总的来说，这个游戏融合了编程，策略，还加入了一点点2.5D的动作元素（虽然操作手感有些僵硬啊），多分支使得玩家游玩的自由度很高，只给玩家一个终极目标，指令和资料的收集全靠玩家自己的探索和选择(怎么越写越感觉有点像黑魂Orz)由于我的智商有限，感觉还是很伤脑筋的~游戏整体很有新意，但有不少地方需要完善，让可玩性更高(期待更好的优化和汉化，期待有大神的攻略233)

The basic concept of this game is not unique: At the very least I have played one other game with the same basic mechanics... at first.

Where this game stands out is that it actually has depth: It keeps going and becoming more challenging, while constantly adding more mechanics.

You may not learn enough about programming to immediately get a job as a programmer after playing this, but if you legitimately beat this game, you can only have experienced thought of the sort of ways a programmer must think. While most programmers these days almost never have to deal with the layered memory constraints this game presents, we often deal with constraints that cause our minds to work in similar ways to how they must here.

I applaud this game and would suggest it to anyone interested in a difficult puzzle, though I do worry about how non-programmers may find some of the problems this game presents: Some are truly tricky. And yet, the things I obtain later on may be the solutions to them; I really can't know yet.

This game is worth your money.

Честно скажу ознакомительную версию игры спиратил, просто посмотреть "как оно". Оказалось что после запуска игры я залип на пару часов, даже не заметил как время пролетело. После конечно я узнал, что игра разрабатывалась одним человеком плюс ко всему соотечественником. Игру купил, не пожалел. Правда в официальной версии игры встретил баги, которых у меня не было в пиратке. Баги мелкие, но все равно доставляют некоторые неудобства (через раз работают горячие клавиши в функциях и в мануале уже прочитанные инструкции все равно висят с восклицательным знаком). То что персонаж залипает в прыжке в блоках и деревьях (если промазал), для меня тоже некритично. Вставка блоков кода, чем то напомнила игру Human Resource Machine, но там в основном картинка статичная, а тут вроде как персонаж может бегать по игровому миру, собирая "бессмысленные очки", открывать сундучки и встречать забавных NPC. Очень доставила визуальная составляющая, оригинально (имхо), но если играть ночью глаза, устают от ярких красок, но не так конечно как в No man's sky. На, различных форумах встречал хейтеров, которые ругали игру за баги и в качестве игр симулирующих программирование советовали, что то вроде Colobot, TIS-100, LightBot и пр., на что я отвечу, что нельзя сравнивать подобные игры, они совершенно разные по механике, повествованию, визуальным составляющим. Несущественным, но особо раздражающим минусом считаю баги на разных уровнях, причем встречаются такие недоработки периодично. Так, после патча 1.0.5 появились "мелкие глюки" которые не позволяют завершить некоторые уровени, от этого прохождение игры приходится забросить до выхода нового патча - это очень печально.
Игру однозначно советую, особенно тем кто любит головоломки направленные в сторону программирования, с хорошей подачей истории и классной картинкой. Но на сегодняшний день полностью ее пройти нельзя (бааагииии).Разработчику желаю дальнейших успехов, думаю эта игра многим будет по душе.

И так.. Скриншоты зацепили, как и популяризация программирования. Но как все недружелюбно и забаговано! В начале игры ты особо не страдаешь от того, что хоть сам персонаж бежит как угорелый, поворачивается по пол часа, что при малейшем нажатии на ctrl появляется нудящая подсказка о хоткеях (особенно, когда ты как раз хоткеями и пользуешься, глупое всплывающее окно!), когда есть хоткей на каждую команду, но нет хоткея на Break, или он где-то существует, но его опять же интуитивно не найдешь, когда ты хочешь создать блок кода в середине программы или дублировать что-то в середине, но тебе придется создать команду в конце, а потом ее перенести. ВРОДЕ КАК МОЖНО БЫЛО НЕ ЗАМЕЧАТЬ. Ибо нелья не согласиться, что минималистичный стиль воплощен красиво и приятно глазу. И даже весело было исследуя Free Memory находить везде эти Unity-like баги, когда ты можешь протиснуться меж деревьев и упасть куда-нибудь, где ты вроде как и не умер, но уже и ничего нет, или какой-нибудь блок, который может был для фона, но почему-то имеет физику. Но когда при запуске пустой программы не работал ни один хоткей, стало уже неприятно. Когда при попытке открыть сундук ты понимаешь, что чтобы его открыть тебе нужны какие-то конкретные числа из множества подходящих под уравнение и на уравнения вроде (x == 5 | x == 3) и (y == 8 | y == 2) ответ должен быть обязательно x = 3 и y = 2 или подобное! А что потом? "О, пачти! надеюсь я не зря поленился сделать багрепорт и кто-то уже рассказал об этих проблемах, они ведь в самом начале". Нееет. Почему-то детали, которые, казалось мне, были видны невооруженным взглядом не были исправленны. Сундуки такие же неоткрывающиеся, написание кода такое же неудобное. Кстати, вот баг репорт - после загрузки моего сохранения, игра видит, что я открыл кучу горячих клавиш, но ни одна из них, кроме стандартных, не работает. Надеюсь, эти мелкие недочеты, которые портят впечталения, будут устранены, а пока что я не могу советовать эту игру.

Я очень хотел полюбить эту игру за приятную атмосферу и художественный стиль, интересную концепцию и милого героя, но баг с блоками кода, из-за которого приходится удалять все блоки, совершенно контр-интуитивная механика перестановки блоков кода, которая позволяет экономить память, но которая работает совершенно неведомым образом и другие баги и шероховатости отвернули меня от этой игры.
Поначалу я хотел дать шанс разработчику, подождать несколько дней исправления ошибок, а то и вовсе доверится ему и не просить возврата денег.

Но, чем больше я играл и натыкался на откровенные недоработки и упущения, все больше я терял терпение, все больше я понимал, что эта игра в текущем ее состоянии годится разве что в Early Access.

Я очень хотел полюбить эту игру, но не смог.
Надеюсь, у вас получится.

[strike] АЛКОготика [/strike] Алготика - игра начала свой путь в качестве дипломного проекта студента, а выросла до инди-игры с отличным дизайном и необычным геймплеем.
Суть игры в том, что игрок управляет персонажем с помощью комманд, а уровни построены таким образом, что нужно пораскинуть мозгами чтобы их пройти. При том, Алготика - это не просто набор головоломок, а связанные сюжетом уровни. Не Portal 2 конечно, но всё-равно достойно.
Дизайн просто выше всяких похвал, у автора явно талант. Ведь согласитесь, именно красочность игры и привлекает к себе внимание в первую очередь.
Если вам нравятся игры где нужно думать или вы начинающий программист, то Алготика ваш выбор.

Если честно - очень понравилась и идея, и реализация. Надеюсь, игрушка найдет своего покупателя. Главная претензия в том, что уровни не идут от простого к сложному. Одни очень простые, над другими сидишь по полчаса. Не профессиональным программистам и не программистам (таким как я), порой, сложно разобраться. Тем не менее, разбираюсь потихоньку, даже начал "пилить" гайдик по прохождению игры. Кстати, еще не очень понятно предназначение режима сканирования... Возможно, стоит переработать его. Кроме того, было бы здорово, чтобы большее число миссий можно было пройти несколькими способами. Даешь вариативность! )
Успехов автору в доработке этой версии игры, создании Алготики 2. А также большой РПГ с корованами, весь контент из которой стащили компьютерные жители для собственных локаций в Алготике.

In this game I like pleasant ambient music, colourful graphics and healthy humour.

And the main advantage of Algotica is that it teaches you a programming. Don't pass, such games are very rare!

[b]Algotica[/b] - лучшая игра про программный код и программирование.
Вы играете за маленького робота по имени Лони, точнее, пишите для него строчки кода - команды. В дальнейшем Лони научится многому от вас, а пока вы - начинающий программер (простите за масло масленое).

В общем и целом - игра на высоте: тут вам и отдельные пейзажи, с любовью нарисованные автором, и замечательный утончённый юмор, и даже подобие интерактива с игроком.

Пишу данный обзор, чтобы автор увидел, что нам нравится его игра. Мы, обычные игроки, давно изголодались по такому годному инди.

Желаю быстрейшего роста в строках steam и конечно же ждём вторую часть со скинами и шапками (как и обещал).

Совершенно нелогичная механика перемещения комманд в списке! Пока что игра вызывает больше раздражения, чем удовольствия от процесса. Кстати, не нашел кнопки/меню выхода, пришлось Alt+F4.

Очень надеюсь, что что-то изменится со временем... Рефунд делать не буду только с целью поддержать отечественный геймдев.

This game is a brilliant of Indie industry - made by one person the game looks too awesome but feels so individual. Developer will speak with you through his project. Because of that it feels like Algotica is alive and you are a part of it, not just a gamer.
Visuals are just great, low-poly graphics made with perfect taste. I hated 3D graphic before I saw this game - now I know that low-poly is my style lol
Mechanics are interesting, during the game I wanted so hard to control the character using just WSDA or Arrows but developer made an adventure from the simple thing - controlling the character. This idea is great, it really feels like I'm the part of a program. I really need to understand this world to go through it.
So, big thanks to the developer who perfectly crushed the wall between himself and gamer!

Кому-то нравятся игры, потому что они вызывают бурю эмоций. Кому-то, потому что предоставляют возможность смоделировать, то чего не было в жизни. Кому-то, потому что в играх автор может не сдерживать полет сознания.
А мне эта игра запомнилась человеком, создавшим ее. Уверяю вас, не каждый день можно встретить красивое русское инди сделанное в соло.

Достаточно давно следил за разработкой данного проекта и участвовал в бета-тестировании. С первых минут игра привлекает low poly стилистикой, которая выглядит просто бомбезно, уютным музыкальным сопровождением и непринужденным и милым юмором. Нельзя так же не отметить элемент пазала и обучение базовым основам программирования. Однозначно рекомендую к покупке и прохождению. Лично жду второй эпизод.

Идея с программными блоками не нова, и на ранних стадиях разработки эта игра мне напоминала флешку Light-bot. Однако, конечный продукт разросся до того, что он гораздо интереснее и полнее.
- Очень приятная графика и дизайн.
- Фишечки и пасхалки.
- Юмор.
Видно, что человек любит своё детище и подходит к нему с душой, такое не часто встретишь в современных играх, особенно крупных проектах.
Отдельно заслуживает упоминания система горячих клавиш и подсказок, в которых игра с таким геймплеем очень нуждается (и которых так не хватает во многих играх), реализованы они просто прекрасно. Быстрое редактирование, копирование, вставка, всё довольно интуитивно, особенно если вы до этого пользовались текстовыми редакторами и IDE.
Пазлы тоже интересные, уже в начале нас подстрекают оптимизировать код, продумывать его, а уровни и предел памяти Лони построены так, что тебе просто придётся выдумывать лаконичные решения, а не просто накидывать список команд.
Хорошая игра, достойная реализация идеи.

! Шикарная игра, которая позволяет начать изучать азы программирования =)
Из плюсов:
+Шикарная графическая составляющая.
+Плавная красивая анимация.
+Подача и формат ввода кода и просмотра того, как все работает.

Тем, кто любит головоломки, хочет поиграть и заодно поднять чуток свой уровень в программировании (даже если был -1) - настоятельно рекомендовано.

Если хотите красиво научится програмиировать то вам стоит купить эту игру!
Почему красиво? Вы видели эту графику? Да она мать его 10 из 10, веселый сюжет в игре который не заставит скучать.
Потом допишу обзор а так в целом игра очень стоящая к покупке.

Уже достаточно давно следил за созданием данной игры - Александр Хорошавин, являющийся разработчиком Algotoc'и также владеет группой в ВК, в которой он постил информацию о процессе создания: наблюдать за процессом создания игры "в одиночку" крайне интересно и захватывающе - а спустя ННое количество времени увидеть эту самую игру в стиме - совсем круто. Сразу же купил, скоро начну проходить. (Небольшую часть игры уже прошел во время проведения бета-теста). Был очень удивлен качеством, удобством, а главное - душой, которую автор вложил в эту игру. Надеюсь, Александру и в дальнейшем будет сопутствовать удача во всех его начинаниях (а главное - в геймдеве :D).
Хотелось бы выразить Саше благодарность не только за игру - увидеть на живом примере выпуск игры практически в одиночку - крайне мотивирующая штука, за это отдельное спасибо :)
Ну а игра 5/5, тут не о чем и говорить!

Живу в одной квартире с разработчиком данной игры, весь год уже смотрю на эту Алкоготику, терпеть больше не могу.
Господи, наконец-то он её выпустил.
