Gorgeous pixel-art, smooth to play (awesome Megaman X mechanics adaptation), secrets everywhere, this game is a work of love, and it shows. Pretty complete experience, including CO-OP, level creator (what made me buy the game) and a lot of gamemodes. Worth every dollar. My only complaint is the spanish translation , that sometimes makes the text wrap in weird ways that make it difficult to read. Pretty cool overall :)

Hola, antes de dar mi opinión quiero contarles un poco de historia, conocí el 20XX pirata y complete al 100% la base de datos, una semana después se estrenó 30XX y también lo conseguí pirata, aproximadamente jugué 140 horas de forma pirata hasta que pude comprar ambos, vi evolucionar este titulo en cada actualización, desde las 80 combinaciones de poderes de Nina hasta los cambios en la barra de vida y energía.

Hoy termine mi travesía completando todos los logros, gracias por este juego, tengo muchas ideas para que siga creciendo.

También he cambiado algunos gráficos al gusto, veré si puedo publicarlos en la workshops.

Em relação ao 20XX este game melhora em todos os aspectos, inclusive nos que o 20XX já era muito bom. A jogabilidade é muito mais refinada, a arte melhor trabalhada e possui mais armas e upgrades.
O game continua muito difícil, porém, senti que ele é menos punitivo ou injusto.
No geral, 30XX é muito mais polido que o seu antecessor, que já é um game excelente.
Para os fãs mais assíduos da franquia Mega Man como eu, experimentem e vejam a magia acontecer.

I've only played the single player as of the time of this review, but I liked it. I played the Megaman Zero and ZX games back in the day, so playing this was like a blast from the past. Never stop dashing.

That said, 30XX wraps games that were already pretty difficult and makes them even MORE difficult. The roguelite elements that grant buffs between runs don't feel strong enough to keep up with how hard the stages scale up as you go through them, so... expect death. This game is hard even for somebody that did grow up in the 90s and 2000s and played most of the games it's referencing. It's harder to avoid damage than you would think, especially with the randomly generated levels (which seem to just use a few select tiles, so you're going to see similar sights a lot as you keep playing).

I don't feel that 30XX is unfair, though, just imbalanced. Some stages are harder than others, but that's fine since you can unlock upgrades that let you pick certain stages and play them earlier in the run (when they're easier).

The [i]characters[/i] don't feel balanced. When you finish the tutorial, you can play as one of two characters: Nina (a gender swapped Megaman), and Ace (imagine Zero but kinda lame). By everything I've seen, the game is just straight-up easier if you play Nina. Unlike the real Zero, Ace isn't given a gun for some reason.
(And his sword doesn't slice enemies in half, but that's beside the point...)
Ace is meant to make up for the loss of range by having increased power, but it's generally difficult enough in this game to avoid damage that having to attack enemies from even mid-range feels bad. And if you get hit, healing is very scarce.

Random parts of each stage will also feel awkward because of the RNG, especially as the difficulty increases and some parts feel like they almost EXPECT you to have at least one additional jump even though that's RNG too. Add in bosses that get progressively spongier and less reasonable as time goes on, and here is a recipe for a frustrating experience.

Now for the upsides, because if you can stomach some retries, I do think 30XX is legitimately good:
+ REALLY good music
+ Co-op available
+ Custom community levels available
+ "Mega Mode" available, which seems to be the same game but with less rogue stuff. This mode lets you just build up power since dying no longer resets the game, making it much easier to win.
+ "Exile Mode" available, which is just a different format of rogue, but still interesting to check out. More randomization, more restrictions.
+ Many additional modifiers for masochists and people playing on Mega Mode, making the game even harder for additional rewards.

I think what 30XX loses with its procedural generation approach and silly difficulty, it gains in replayability. If you like the game enough to play it for more than 2 hours, there is currently a lot here to sate your Megaman itch for a while.

Worth it on sale if you don't think you can win.
Worth it at full price if you're overconfident.

You can play this like 20XX and its got some good gameplay if you do.

The plot is a larger time investment than I was prepared for. Its on the general scale of Hades, which was a surprise. It involves cryptic clues that you're going to need a walkthrough for.

I don't recommend the extra character DLC however.

This game captures the feeling of the Mega Man X and Mega Man Zero series' at their best and turn it into a rougelike/lite. 20XX was good, but this game improves on it in every way I can think of.

This game would be an all time favorite for me even if it was only single player, but to top everything off it's fully playable in co op.

我其实很喜欢《20XX》，但这一部，完全没有那种让我爽玩的感觉，甚至没有流畅感，不知道走到哪里就突然被打断，被跳台打断，被陷阱打断，被不知名的攻击打断，关卡毫无设计感，困难的东西都堆在一起，简单的地方又特别简单，不觉得有什么地方很精巧，很多跳台和很多怪都是用命一次次趟出来的。美术上也很难说比上一代好，某些关卡还会因为眼花缭乱而分不清跳台和陷阱，比起《20XX》尚且如此，更不要说和洛克人比了。但如果，想玩一个和洛克人体验类似的游戏，好像也只有他了。

전작에 비해 그래픽 부분이 크게 개선되었는데
여전한 번역 퀄리티.. 내가 한국어를 읽는게 맞는건가 싶은 ㅋㅋ
여기에 불친절한 설명이 합쳐지니 게임이 뭔가 답답함.

그리고 각각의 스테이지가 많이 길어졌는데, 그 때문에 전작 특유의 속도감이 많이 희석됨.
또 전작처럼 후반으로 갈수록 난이도가 떼쓰는 수준으로 오르는데,
스테이지가 길어진 것과 합쳐져서 게임이 많이 피로해짐.

정가주고 사기에는 아무래도 아쉬운 게임인듯.

I feel four hours is enough time to give a simple review. It's doing it's best to emulate Megaman while adding in the indie dev's not-so-secret secret sauce, Roguelite progression. It's something to play that lets you experience the fundamental movement of the Megaman X and Zero without reexperiencing the same stages from those games over and over. That's a positive mark, but overall, it's an average experience that doesn't do enough on its own to separate itself from its inspirations. Also, the end of run messages are needlessly dickish.

Do I recommend this game? No, unless you're someone who can spam Dash from start to finish comfortably. This game requires a level of experience only gotten from playing Megaman X. Without that, I cannot imagine the first several runs of this hooking anyone with some basic interest in action platformers.

I feel compared to 20XX, visually the game is way better. Though i can't say it feels better than 20XX. Controls are pretty similar which is nice, though it just feels like the same game different artstyle. Functionally it's nearly identical, the backgrounds are really good and the bosses feel more unique, the combat feels more like combat. Though i just think 20XX was better executed compared to 30XX.

The hub area is way more confusing than the first game and the dialogue system feels like a downgrade since it requires me to press a button multiple times instead of just playing through the dialogue automatically or just letting me skip it entirely, as compared to 20XX (which had little dialogue to be fair) where it would just show as you walked by while keeping the game active. Pacing feels slower with dialogue which isn't exactly an issue, it's just not my thing.

I haven't had any issues performance wise, there's a few bugs I did end up running into and things i just didn't like, but they arent frequent enough for me to care.

Cool game, personally I'd just recommend getting 20XX as they're near identical, minus different story aspects and more items, then kind of treat this one as a DLC of sorts.

マルチプレイ時は、初めからする分には全然問題ないですが、続きからするときは、ゲスト側が必ずと言っていいほどクラッシュするため1回で走り抜けたい人向けかなって思いました。
ソロでやる分には全然問題ないですが、マルチの問題が４～５年以上放置されてるのでマルチプレイ目的は非推奨かなぁ

It'll probably be fine for solo or local coop. But online coop is straight up broken. When you go into Mega Mode, someone can get into your hub, but as soon as you load a file, it crashes. We had played during 0.1 Early Access and we hung it up cuz it was so rough. This is over 5 years later, and we bought this for coop, apparently it's just straight up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken right now.

There's also some clunkiness with coop where only the host can buy memoria upgrades, they don't apply to player 2, player 2 has to LEAVE the session to buy their upgrades, which is how we ran into this load file bug.

I really enjoyed 20XX (this game's predecessor), as it took a great concept (Mega Man X but it's a roguelite) and delivered a polished, beautiful, solid experience. I am happy to report that 30XX does everything 20XX did, but does it even better.

The pixel art is fantastic. The character/enemy sprites are well-designed and beautifully animated, and the backgrounds are colorful and, in some cases, also beautifully animated. I will say that sometimes the game's visuals get a little busy and it becomes hard to discern platform from background element or enemy attack from player attack, but that's an issue that becomes less relevant with every playthrough. It really does look great, though, and the tunes capture that same upbeat hair rock vibe that Mega Man X's soundtrack had.

The controls, it must be stated, are rock-solid. You start the game being able to play as a Mega Man surrogate or a Zero surrogate (focusing on projectile and melee attacks, respectively), and both are extremely intuitive and fun to play as. I would say 30XX plays as well as Mega Man X did, but it arguably plays [i]better[/i], with quality of life improvements such as having your attacks charge automatically instead of having to hold the "fire" button (which, as much as I love MMX, was always a huge pain). Instead of having to pause to switch between acquired powers, every new power can be used at any time by hitting a specific button or direction + button combination, which (and I love this) are always visible in the game's HUD while you play.

I'm going to make a confession: When I play classic Mega Man games, I basically only switch to acquired powers when I have to or when it gives me an advantage against a boss (or to access secrets, naturally). My brain can't handle juggling an ever-increasing number of powers with different offensive strengths and situational advantages, so I generally just focus on using my buster. Not only does 30XX accommodate my personal play style, it makes it a viable strategic choice that comes with its own advantages. You can take any two boss-acquired powers and combine them into a new, stronger power. Not only that, but you can skip over future powers in favor of upgrading one of the ones you already have or getting more currency to spend on power-ups later. And every time you beat a boss, you encounter a dummy you can test out all your attacks on, and even mix and match your power-ups to experiment and see how much damage they do without consuming your energy. That's really, really good design.

Having said that, the game's ambition and layers of mechanics can lead to confusion, despite the efforts taken to explain everything. My character can be in flames with different color fire and I won't know why. Power-up descriptions will use terminology I find confusing, [i]even though[/i] relevant terms are highlighted and you can check their definitions on the fly. I'm not sure what I do that triggers "corruption", but I'm always annoyed when it happens because it means I'm periodically unable to shoot for several seconds at a time. I'm sure these are things I will eventually figure out in future play sessions, but know it may take hours before you figure out all the game's more nuanced features.

The level design, although procedurally-generated, usually feels natural and intuitive to navigate. The bosses have fun patterns and get progressively more difficult with each level you beat (which also means that unless you can consistently improve your damage output, the bosses get more bullet-spongey and end up taking quite long beat). Most of the power-ups you get are satisfying and have a direct impact on your experience, and there are enough of them to make multiple playthroughs feel unique. You are encouraged to continue playing after beating the game with new game modes, playable characters, daily/weekly challenges, and even a level editor.

If you enjoy both classic Mega Man X games and roguelites, then this is a no-brainer. 30XX is loads of fun and offers a lot of bang for your buck. Highly recommended.

I've played every megaman game including the obscure ones but my favorites were of course the megamanzero games including ZX and ZX Advent, and I can tell you as someone who closely followed the development of the Azure Striker Gunvolt series and played the games seeing how closely they captured the spirit of the original megaman- That this game does everything I ever wanted and more with actual online co-op.

It takes the core roguelike formula that the megamanzero games were known for in terms of raw difficult and amplifies the risk-reward to such an insane degree of perfect balance that I cannot find anything wrong with it aside from the lackluster soundtrack. When you beat the game, you get several difficulty modifiers (entropy system) similar to Hades and added on missions with certain objectives that favor replaying levels and completing them differently until you finally manage to unlock the real final boss and bonus content. There was one boss that was terrible to fight and felt like a deliberate waste of time to deal with AND THEY CHANGED IT in a future update to make it interesting and better balanced to meet what the other bosses brought.

On a surface level it's not doing anything that crazy for the genre aside from the weapon combinations and armor set but it somehow manages to put all of it together, the craziest part is how it combines so many elements and still enables for build diversity between runs and if you're good enough at the game to take on heavy risks then you can get as strong as you need to- I have rarely found games that manage to get me in a "flow" state. This game does it.

После ковыряния в меню Windows Defender решил, что игра вирус — и снёс exe-шник. Во избежание — пришлось искать папку игры в Стиме и добавлять её в исключения Дефендера. Потом проверять и перекачивать файлы игры.

В меню настроек управления можно перемещаться при помощи геймпада. Только попытка изменить кнопку активирует не смену кнопки на геймпаде — а смену кнопки на клавиатуре. Отменить привязку нельзя: нажатие Escape привязывает этот самый экскейп к действию.

На втором уровне игра тупо вылетела.

Вернул это глюкалово авторам обратно.

If you enjoy Megaman X but dont want the frustrating experience of pulling your hair out just to beat the intro(maybe im just bad) then this is the game for you. Havent ran into any of the controller issues i've seen in a few of the reviews, using a gamesir cyclone 2 fwiw. Upgrades dont seem obnoxiously overpriced to make the journey seem overly grind-y.

Adding a positive comment because it's worth getting.

Personally, to address the negative reviews, I never had an issue with performance. Level design could be better - but then again, it's a rogue-lite procedural. That's tough to balance. If it really becomes an issue, spec into mobility and armor on your runs to bypass problems you don't feel like figuring out - using that tactic I beat it after about 4 hours, doing the architect level onwards first time, blind to the level(s) layout.

The graphics are awesome, mechanics are fun, and the game has charm. Really, it's a joy to play.

It's not Megaman, but a love letter that stands on its own.

I bought this game on sale and enjoyed 20XX. I have a modern PC and supported controller and even thought this game has been out so long it was simply buggy as hell. I couldn't even get through the first stage. I want to support this game, but after my frustration I am simply asking for a refund and never want to interact with it again.

калл, старт не понятный, вселенная явно списана с мегамена, и есть так же Зеро, но нюанс - а играть после обучения как?) нет вообще никаких опознавательных знаком ни миникарты ни цели вообще ничего, потратил кубы первые на прокачку - а дальше куда? нашел только какие то испытания а оказалось что это карты сообщества 1\10, просто за легкий босс файт и наличие вообще у игры визуального оформления, гейм дизайном здесь и не пахнет, а "искать иголку в стоге сена" я не собираюсь

разработчики, если используете уже готовую вселенную - хотя бы придерживайтесь ее, в том же ммз 1,2,3,4 есть четкие выборы миссий на главном экране, а если тебе их нельзя пройти - тебе скажут что делать дальше, или куда бы ты там не пошел, там будет главная комната которую чертовски сложно не заметить где ты сможешь играть вообще, в ZeroX что выходил на нинтедо3дс нужно было всеголишь пройти на право, а дальше тебе как обычно миссии в лицо пихают и чувствуется сюжет, а здесь - убили зеро, и под лайтовую музыку злодей рассказывает планы спящей красавице,иначе не описать

The mechanics are good, the overworld is hit-or-miss for me, the music is okay but the level design is maybe worse than 20xx? and that kills it for me... but that's a problem FOR ME. 30XX is an awesome game! If you loved 20XX, then you will almost certainly enjoy 30XX as well.

Great music. Awesome graphics (much improved from 20XX). Cool powerups, nice levels, good bosses.

My only complaint was that this one felt a lot shorter than 20XX. I put something like 80 hours into 20XX (one of my most played games on Steam). But somehow I was pretty much done with this one in about 15 hours. But that's not to say it's not worth your time and money... because it very much is.

Was looking for something to scratch that Megaman-itch, and was very pleasantly surprised to find a near endless replacement for Capcom's modern failings. It's not good to define a game by its comparison to others (or to denigrate one to raise another), so I'll focus on the parts of 30XX that I've enjoyed:

- Randomized side-scrolling shooter that has a bevy of optional, in-run challenges and difficulty modifiers for more rewards; rewards that range from passive boosts (that includes mini-pets) to stats and also mix-and-match body part upgrades that can drastically modify abilities.
- Boss abilities can also be mixed-and-matched to create several different abilities (that are unique between the 2 starting characters) to either use them in their base form or upgrade them by matching for even stronger attacks or effects.
- Roguelite progression providing the typical revives, increase in stats, and access to re-rolls, additional shops, and augmentation locks.
- Co-op is easy and simple to drop-in, drop-out with the ability to play as the same character for each player.

The two main downsides I can think of (and one optional one):
1) Sometimes it's hard to see certain bullets from enemies when you have more pets and attacks on screen. (You can get upgrades that makes your charged shot shoot 4 times at once - this, on top of some of the pet attacks, can fill up the screen quickly, but usually this means you're killing things very fast).
2) You can't drop out of a run in the middle of it. You have to wait until you finish a section's boss to gain access to a quitting teleporter that will save your progress and allow you to quit sorta like STRAFE. (More game comaparisons -_-)
Optional - 3) The game is best on controller. It's playable on keyboard, but it just feels better on controller. Like playing Silksong (there I go using other games as comparisons again), you can play the game just fine on keyboard, but imo the best way to play is with a controller.

Surprisingly great side-scrolling shooter with high replayability from the challenge seeds, boss rush, custom stage creation (both creating for uploads and playing other people's work - which sometimes gets uploaded for the main campaign levels!), and other challenge modes. It's a solid game that even puts some of the incarnations of its inspiration to shame. Alright, no more comparison bashing - it's a great game.

Interesting roguelike with tight mechanics and terrible visual readability. Stages are filled to the brim with traps and enemies that blend into the background and often it's hard to tell where you even are, what just hit you and why you died.
Thankfully there's a lot of accessibility options so you can clear up the image and enjoy the tight game underneath.

Oh and Experiment 9 and their stage can go screw themselves. That reverse gravity mechanic sucks.

♥♥♥♥ this game. I tried. 16 hours, i tried. Had some ups, some downs, and then the game did the same damn thing isaac did, and sends a sharp serrated dagger right up between your legs.

Its reaching lower and lower for the most god awful platform over 90% of the stage being pits with enough knockback to make it utterly miserable. Doesnt matter the damn order i try the stages in. Pits pits, and more pits. The past few games were so miserable, i threw assist mode on. And still was so miserable on the lowest settings with the seeds its choosing.

20xx is almost a better game, for how awful this game has been the past few days. Except ive seen the game.

Pass it, and don't give the devs a damn cent.

This game deserves my recommendation. I reached the credits once and don't feel motivated to play any further, but that's more my preference in games talking than anything. Roguelikes aren't my cup of tea and this certainly isn't how I prefer my mega man, but this game is a lot of fun. It controls really well and it's an awesome feeling to become insanely capable as you come across certain augs. There's fun to be had in the power trip of having insane range and movement options.

My biggest criticism is the visual noise and lack of good feedback. It's easy to get lost in the insanity of what's going on, and I had immense trouble keeping track of my own health and energy and the boss health. The feedback on taking and dealing damage is also really weak, both on the graphical side and the audio side. I also had some trouble telling foreground from background, which is very unusual for me.

A smaller thing is just how little you need to learn to handle obstacles. A large part of mega man is learning the tells to dodge attacks and when to sneak in your damage, but when you have loads of health and giant weapons like the D Glaive from X8, it's really easy to just not care about the level design surrounding enemies or boss patterns. When I got to the last couple levels, I didn't need to even try to dodge. I just stood in front of the boss and mashed attack with my spear. And the level design itself was just completely ignored with my high speed, double jumps, and air dashes. But then I also realize the power trip is a major appeal of the rougelike genre.

Might go back to the game in classic mode to see if it has what I'm looking for. The game is good! If you like the responsiveness of the x, zero, zx series gameplay, you'll find something to love here.

30XX wears its inspirations proudly while still being its own thing, This is [b]the[/b] answer to your needs for a "Mega Man X/Zero"-style 2D action platformer, and it's a rougelite! There is optional co-op and also a full "classic" mode to play if you fancy it.

Gameplay is top-notch, music and sound design is great, visuals are fantastic, and the increasing difficulty is challenging but fair. The themed randomly generated levels, bosses, powers, pickups, augments etc keeps things interesting and no run is ever the same. You know the type; [i]"Just ONE more try...!"[/i].

The predecessor 20XX was great fun, but 30XX is [b]awesome[/b].

I discovered 20XX quite a few years back when it was given away for free on a rival digital storefront that we will not speak of. I grew up playing a lot of Mega Man, though my only experience with the Mega Man X series was the first game, and I wasn't particularly ever good enough at it to make it past Chill Penguin more than once or twice, meanwhile I was regularly tearing through the entirety of Mega Man 1, 2, and 3 with my eyes closed. So when I found out that 20XX was a "randomly-generated" Mega Man X-like, I couldn't resist. To my surprise, I found it much more palatable than the actual Mega Man X which continues to elude me even to this day. I spent a lot of time playing 20XX during those quarantine days, quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The only thing I wished was that it had a slightly more appealing art style, though looking back, not only did the monkey's paw curl, but I actually think there is a huge nostalgic appeal to the "DeviantArt/Newgrounds" art style of 20XX that's missing from the unfortunately sloppy 16bit-throwback art style of its sequel.

So when I heard they were already working on a sequel, I couldn't resist.

As much as I like the improvements they've made to 30XX since I last played back in early access in like 2022, 20XX still wipes the floor with it I fear. It's just a better-feeling game, the levels were more interesting even if there were less, the overall flow just "flowed" better, the powerups were easier to understand and read (they just throw random terms at you and expect you to know what they mean in 30XX). Sure it's nice that 30XX has more content, I think adding Dally as a playable characters is super cute and fun, but it honestly feels a bit bloated and makes me wish they focused less on adding tons and tons of content and instead of focused more on Quality Of Life.

The hub area in particular is just confusingly large for no good reason. Like yeah dude, it should absolutely take me a full 30 seconds to go from character select to the shop and another 30 seconds to even remember where the area that I can start a run from is, and oh wait I forgot to change my outfit, so let me take another 15 seconds to remember where that is and run back to it.

There was also something really satisfying just about the clarity of options in 20XX. I remember it giving you like a really neatly-presented selection of where you'll go next, what type of boss it would be, blah blah blah. 30XX runs feel overly-long by comparison, full of too many randomly-generated enemy placements and tilesets that feel too samey, and leave you going "oh my god, can we get to the end of the level already?" by the time you're only halfway through. There's halfway bosses too which are annoying because they just make me think "okay so is this the halfway boss or is it the real boss?". It's just...messy.

But the biggest thing is that despite 30XX theoretically having a "less ugly" art style, 20XX's "ugly" art style made it easier to actually tell wtf is going on. Even with all of the accessibility options added in 30XX, background, foreground, and center elements just blend together and you can't actually tell what's what. I've missed so many jumps because my legally blind ass can straight up not tell the difference between certain environmental objects. It might look more pleasing, but when you actually put it into practice in-game, it's just a complete nightmare to parse through; you have to pay so close attention to what's what that it's literally headache inducing and rather inaccessible to the visually impaired.

I dumped probably about 50-60 hours into 20XX and had an incredible time from minute 1, but I find it hard to even break the 5 hour mark on 30XX, there's just no motivation to continue because of what an inaccessible, confusing, jumbled, bloated mess it can be.

30XX is a decent game, and I can see the appeal, but as a visually impaired person who enjoyed 20XX's simplicity much more, it just doesn't seem like it's gonna be for me in the long run.

If you're looking for more megaman or an easier version of it this is a great game to pick up. Ive beaten 20xx, Megaman 1-2, and X1 so far and this is way easier than those games. There are times where there is a bunch of stuff on the screen but even then there are 2 abilities you end up getting that you can fuse for a shield. They did a way better job with the final boss than in 20xx even though it is multiple bosses at the end again its not as much of huge unavoidable dodgefest like in the last game and it actually felt like a final boss. In my opinion this feels like a Megaman X game with great movement and powers that you can fuse but also with rougelike abilities that adds to the gameplay experience. The character you get after beating the game is pretty cool too for replayability.

Lets get the minor negatives out of the way, first. It's a little rough around the edges in some parts. Storyline is a little all over the place, though it's still interesting and engaging despite that. There's a few UI bits that could use some polishing. And there's some visibility issues with some weapons and powers here and there. And there's some jank in netplay from time to time.

But aside from that? Holy moly, this is the closest I think we'll ever get to a roguelite that still captures the magic that is Megaman X/Zero. And then it throws a little bit of Mario Maker in for good measure? And you can actually play other people's custom-made level pieces AND full-on levels?! AND the pixel art is gorgeous, AND the music is consistently brilliant, AND IT HAS CO-OP?????

This game's a diamond with a little bit of rough around it. Absolute blast of a game, highly recommend it.

This is the Megaman X [insert certain company] won't give us. It has capsules, armors, 8 bosses, weapons to collect from bosses, 2 currencies (like bolts), no pay-to-win irritation. This is for the most hardcore Mega Man fans. Not for casual fans or even people who have played every game. This is for people who play Mega Man romhacks for fun. As a rougelite, there is a chance for good runs. Mega Mode is for the hardcore crowd. Just bear in mind that completing it did not grant the game completion achievement, but the base mode does. Maybe it was a glitch, but it was weird. The final level is awful, and there are bad decisions everywhere. Some of these levels are completely unfair. Playing the Zero insert is asking for punishment as well. The game is not made for him. But this game knows its audience. It's very hardcore audience. I can't believe I beat this.
