quite a rough game and definitely needs some work to feel smoother. looks like a vr port of a custom Gmod game mode.
Good game, but the sequel is even better, it has actual achievements and a more solid campaign, this one though is the first and still pretty decent title

One of the better VR-FPS games with an actual single player that's not half bad. The total selection of actual VR-FPS games with a call of duty style campaign is small, and this one is a solid 6/10. Why 6/10? The jank. There are some wonky bugs and immersion breaking issues in this game, but regardless of all of them, the core of the game -- the shooting and weapons feel amazing. Picked up on sale for around $6... this is 100% worth that price!

Generic ass game with pretty crap shooting and ok reloading. HL2VR does better in many aspects that will make me refund the game (like shooting, magnified scopes, gun aiming, reloading and such). During the first actual mission which was basically on rail (omg just make it a compund and not a forest) i got killed many times because while reloading my character would grab the empty mag i just dropped and not the fresh mag in the vest. Also this game looks and feels pretty damn bad, i thought it was made during the early days of PCVR and not in Q2 2023. My issue with the shooting in this game is that long guns with a stock don't "snap" to your virtual body like in H3VR and that by itself would be fine, BUT the scopes in this game have a gigantic reticle which glows, a tinted lens that looks like those old 3D glasses and (for the ACOG at least) an excessive amount of zoom that made it almost impossible to use while being shot at, something that would be greatly improved on if the virtual gun's stock would actually work as a stock. For me it was easier and more accurate to one hand an M4 than to use it properly. The shots felt very inconsistent too: i was aiming just about every weapon you can find in the first actual mission with both reflex sights and the iron sights and even tho the dot/front sight was lined up and pointed straight at the enemy's head it would miss horribly, leading to a tragicomic scene where i was standing behind a technical while taking aim, shooting in single fire at the enemies in front of me, apparently missing every single shot, crouching back behind cover to reload, rinse and repeat until i got bored, pulled out the deagle and just eyed it. The enemy AI is so braindead that i would honeslty rather play against the cockroach AI in the original Half Life, at least the cockroaches would generally try to avoid you and not stand there, just to slowly walk up to you like they were enjoying a sunny walk in the park. I hope that the game gets better in the later stages, but i'd honestly rather play Ramu's Gun Range on VR Chat ON MOUSE AND KEYBOARD and that's saying something.

tldr: I'm having a lot of fun despite the numerious areas for improvement.
The story is whack, the voice acting is cringey and bad, there's only one character model for civillians.
For gameplay your gear is too close together making it easy to grab the wrong item. Ammunition seems to be infinite which is lame.
Items you or enemies drop disappear quickly if you don't pick them up which is probably the most annoying part, beacuse sometimes you want to juggle multiple two-handed weapons - or you want to revert after finding the weapon you picked up to be bad - too bad it's gone!
The gameplay overall is fun and difficult when many enemies spawn, there are lots of weapons to try and the attachment system is great.
Holding a shield and pistol is great, because you have to count your shots lest you need to drop the shield to pull the slide.
Not a bad game, had no issues other than performance, but that could be because my GPU may be getting worn out. The campaign is pretty entertaining, the weapon selection is pretty decent, zombies are pretty decent, and the climbing mechanics are kinda cool tbh. The zombies weren't exactly what I was expecting, each map kinda has its own little "story" I guess, where you have to escape a certain area and obviously survive the zombies... Will have to look at some mods.
I understand it's for the purpose of balance, but one of the things that annoyed me is how certain guns that I know are fairly accurate IRL, are not accurate at all in this game because of their high damage. One example is the M14, I have the M1A variant personally (basically, just the M14 with a different bolt carrier and no full auto) and I can land every single one of my shots no problem. Again, I know it's for the purpose of balance, but it's irritating to see that it has the recoil of something WAY bigger and it's not all that accurate in game.
One thing I will say, I have unlocked a good number of guns, not all of them, but out of all the guns I have unlocked, the BAR is the GOAT. Good power, decent recoil control, and more times than not, it'll body an enemy with one shot.

Die große Stärke ist das extrem immersive und fordernde Waffensystem. Das klingt nach viel Arbeit, fühlt sich in den hektischen Gefechten aber unglaublich befriedigend an. Hinzu kommt die Möglichkeit, sich physisch in Deckung zu begeben, über Hindernisse zu klettern oder Granaten mit einer natürlichen Wurfbewegung zu werfen .
Positiv hervorzuheben ist zudem der Umfang an Inhalten. Es gibt eine komplette Story-Kampagne, die man alleine oder mit bis zu drei Freunden im Koop-Modus bestreiten kann. Dazu gesellen sich ein klassischer PvP-Modus für bis zu acht Spieler und ein herausfordernder Zombie-Survival-Modus, der für Abwechslung sorgt .
Allerdings hat das Spiel auch deutliche Schwächen. Der kritischste Punkt auf dem PC ist die schwache Künstliche Intelligenz (KI). Gegner verhalten sich oft vorhersehbar, laufen in Gruppen auf den Spieler zu oder verschanzen sich auf simple Art. Das führt dazu, dass sich die Kämpfe schnell wie eine Schießbude anfühlen . Zudem ist das Waffen-Handling manchmal hakelig ("clunky"), und Waffen bleiben an der Umgebung hängen . Die Missionen selbst sind vom Design her oft repetitiv: "Gehe zu Punkt A, räume alle Gegner weg, gehe zu Punkt B" .
Die Spielerbasis auf Steam ist mit durchschnittlich unter 20 gleichzeitigen Spielern (Stand Februar 2026) jedoch sehr überschaubar, was das Finden von Online-Partien erschweren kann .
Fazit:
Zero Caliber VR ist ein Paradespiel für alle, die schon immer das Gefühl haben wollten, ein echtes Sturmgewehr zu laden und im Team taktische Einsätze zu fahren. Die Stärken liegen klar im immersiven Waffensystem, der Mod-Vielfalt und den zahlreichen Spielmodi. Wer darüber hinwegsehen kann, dass die Story eher dünn ist und die KI nicht mitdenkt, bekommt hier einen der umfangreichsten militärischen VR-Shooter. Für Solospieler, die auf eine intelligente Gegner-KI hoffen, ist das Spiel jedoch weniger geeignet.

Мне понравилось. Большое разнообразие оружия и примочек для него, много врагов, которые не дают заскучать, бесконечные патроны в подсумках, которые автоматически достаются подходящими для активного оружия. В целом, не сильно требовательная на низких настройках, но упереться в потолок на максимальной графике даже с мощной картой можно (HTC Vive Pro 2 + RTX 4070 Ti Super). Историю воспринимал не прям чтобы подробно, не так хорош в английском, чтобы успевать понимать переговоры, особенно во время перестрелок, в основном, просто выполнял поставленные задачи. Первые миссии - весьма длинные, у меня уходило больше часа-полутора на них, потом они с какого-то момента резко стали короче, и проходились где-то за полчаса. В целом, проблем с ней не было, единственное, что сейчас могу вспомнить - это то, что у меня никак не получилось переключить звук со шлема на колонки, когда демонстрировал её другим, может, где-то что-то не досмотрел в настройках игры и системы, но не суть важно. Считаю, что цену свою полностью окупает.

je to mega dobrá hra, koupil jsem jí za 10euro (cca 250Kč) a vyplatí se to. Ve hře jsou různé mise (jak těžké, tak i nějáké lehčí). A hra taky podporuje Finger Traking (S Valve Index).

Playing it on Quest 2 via Virtual Desktop and I am having a really good time with it.
I did struggle a bit with the controls during the tutorial, but once I found a gun of my liking (SMG) and got used to manual reloading, it all really clicked for me.
At this rate I'll probably finish this one and grab Zero Caliber 2 :)

The gameplay is fun which is why its such a travesty that this game is a BUGGY POS. The objectives bug out, you kill every enemy, but it still says to find them, because one is glitched under the map somewhere. You waste 5 minutes looking around only to have to restart from the checkpoint. I even went back to HQ and restarted the mission from the menu, and I spawned in with my left hand still holding the gun from midway through the level...
There is an unlock system for upgrades, but you can just do the training mission and come out with weapons you shouldnt be able to unlock yet. If a teammate runs into you, they will collide with your gun and stretch your arms out for miles as they run away from you.
The game stops you and constantly asks you to turn on motion sickness settings, like 4 times during the tutorial. It freezes you in place and you cant move, youre supposed to read or click no a menu that is 500m behind you stuck in the map and unreachable. Enemies are scripting to simply appear out of thin air, unless you are crawling like a snail, you will outrun their spawn, so 10 guys will just spawn all around you and behind you and instantly kill you.
Its just horrible lazy game design and careless programming, and it's really shocking because they had time to make and remaster a sequel but they can't fix the Fking first game beyond what any idiot making their own unity VR game could make. The only reason to play this is just a mark against VR in general. There are just BARELY any good games to play. A game this badly made should have failed by all accounts in an actual market.
Oh yeah, come to find out, they never even finished the campaign to this game, just quit working on it to make Quest games and the sequel. So this should not even be sold as a complete game and not EA or something, this is false advertising to sell a half finished game as a complete product! Fool me once now your studio is ignored.
Oh yeah, and the store cinematics are totally fake, the game looks ok as a VR game, but it looks nothing like the advertisement videos, and I have everything on max on a Quest 3. It looks like a unity VR game some kid made.
Despite all this I was going to keep playing it and finish the campaign, but there is a game breaking freeze bug in the 4th mission, as reported by others in the forum as well, so I can't even play more than 3 hrs of this game if I wanted to, it literally doesnt work.

Maybe this game is fun on co-op, but solo it is way too janky and difficult. Swarms of enemies and you will be picking up your knife to reload the gun because the equipment is located so close together. Also, if you try and throw a grenade, you might as well just drop it at your feet because that is how they respond 90% of the time.
I will say the gun play IS pretty good but the friendly bots are absolutely useless and work better as meat shields for the enemy than actual allies.

Zero Caliber is like an old Call Of Duty campaign if it was in Virtual Reality. The AI isn't the best, the climbing can feel clunky at times, but the customisation is pretty solid. The story is alright, nothing special. My friend stopped bothering to play with me after the first couple of missions, so i played the rest solo and actually had a lot of fun. However, some missions felt a little broken at times, as it can be annoying to look for that one enemy who cant find his way around the map so he's just sitting in a corner behind 2 walls. Overall, its enjoyable, but beware the AI isn't that great. I bought it on sale so it was 14 bucks or so, which is a good price for me. Buy it if its on sale. Otherwise, nearly 40 dollars seems a bit too much.

It's old so at least it has some excuse but how are you gonna have a multiplayer game without even a report button? VR cheaters heaven lol. No reporting means they can just do whatever they want and they do. Dude jump shoots you in the head as soon as you spawn and says "I heard you" lmao. Ok yeah you heard my character spawn bro lol. As I said, it is old so some leeway is allowed but this is the only game I've ever seen with no option to report sus players. Kinda sucks the campaign took more than 2 hours or I'd get a refund. The AI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ too considering it wallhacks and aimbots. Hard bots, ok great. But the damn things are literally staring at you through the walls and they don't even wait to have line of sight before they start head shotting you through the bushes and ♥♥♥♥. This is the same reason arcade MK back in the day was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because it didn't really matter how good you were since the game was literally cheating every match. ♥♥♥♥ the devs for just making literal aim bots instead of taking any time at all to balance them. They come in hoards and all know exactly what you're doing the whole time which is pretty evident after about 5 mins.

这是一部发售于2023年的现代战争题材VR射击作品，我先通的2代，感觉意犹未尽才找到了1代游玩。因为两代玩得很近，对比上更有话语权，我发现1代并没有比2代明显落后，甚至在一些场景搭建上还更有多样性。
一代的枪械与配件种类也非常丰富，甚至和二代都没多少区别，枪械建模细致，枪感也属于VR射击游戏里的上乘水平。战斗方面，本作体验非常优秀，玩家用中轴重锁姿势可以打出很高的精准度，AK枪族可以用推弹匣姿势快速上弹，手枪上子弹可以用手柄按空仓挂机锁快速上膛而无需拉套筒，对操作熟悉的玩家可以打出非常连贯的战术动作，并迅速解决掉大批敌人。
本作的场景中依旧有许多CQB，我尝试用匕首+Glock17手枪的组合打格斗，发现完全可以按照想象中的来，匕首捅刺的声音很悦耳，还可以扔飞刀扎死敌人，同时给手枪快速上弹后冲过去拔出匕首继续战斗，没玩过本作又喜欢《极速追杀》的朋友一定要试试。
个人感受本作的核心缺点有两个，第一是战役内容太少，第二是掉地上的武器消失太快。虽然我操作是非常熟练的，但战役4小时就打完了实在太短，这部打完还是让我意犹未尽，且剧情没讲完，大反派还没抓到剧情就结束了。枪掉地上经常2秒就消失了，我双持P90冲锋，上子弹时候只能把另一把枪丢在地上，结果上好一把枪的子弹另一把枪已经被刷没了，这个情况也让玩家很难捡到敌人掉落的枪械，该情况在室内还好，在野外场景非常明显。

ALE Bawiłem się przy niej dobrze i wciąż ją polecam jeśli jest na przecenie. Jeżeli nie jest to tak średnio bo 100zł to za dużo jak na taką grę widać że to nie jest gra dużej firmy ale raczej budżetowa.

this game still holds up even from 2019. Dont listen to any of the negative reviews here as most of them here expect to run this game with their rtx 2060ti or gtx 1080ti. most of the people here have such a bad rig for vr its not even vr ready for pcvr and theyre here complaining
To summarize: It's low quality Unity VR slop.
I would go in detail if there was much to speak about the game, but it's just some COD-style FPS with somewhat of a plot. Movement can get frustrating, enemies are quite dumb, attention to detail is non-existant. As far as I know there's no way to skip the tutorial and it takes quite a while.
It has some flaws but you are feeling like in action movie.
tldr; Only worth it on a discount.
A decent introductory VR shooter, but it leans way more into arcade action than I’d like. The gun handling feels mediocre, though the customization options are surprisingly solid. Multiplayer is fine, but the single-player campaign ended up feeling pretty dull, and I never managed to try the coop.
Now that Zero Caliber 2 exists, there’s honestly not much reason to pick this one up unless you find it heavily discounted.

I'm a newcomer to FPS games with VR and i've personally been enjoying this game, the controls are nice and intuitive, the presentation of the game is pretty decent too, nice array of weapons/attachments, movement physics aren't too bad, but maybe climbing is a bit glitchy, which is a nice segway into a chief critique i have.
Every stage until the last was fine, by the time you climb and look about, the guys in that elevator shaft pepper you, its really obnoxious. Even using the lift up is a nightmare because the weight of and joggling around of the headset wasn't factored in, that part was a bit obvious.
There needs to be a bit of focus on comfort as well as action, otherwise, this is a nice game, Pity it didn't have a survival mode like on CoD or something, but other than that, it's enjoyable and affordable, isn't laced with microtransactions and above all else, it works. That's why it gets the ole' Thumbs Up! 👍
I've already bought the 2nd one because i hope to see more games like this and it's encouraging that VR is getting some love.

After spending time with Zero Caliber VR, I have to say I’m thoroughly disappointed. The promotional material trailers, screenshots, and store descriptions presents a product that looks far more polished, immersive, and graphically advanced than what is actually delivered in-game.
What you see in the marketing simply does not reflect the reality of the experience.
The game itself feels unfinished, more like a technical showcase or proof of concept than a complete, well-rounded title. While the core gunplay can be enjoyable at times, the environments, visual fidelity, and overall polish fall short of what was advertised. It’s clear that development has effectively ceased, with the focus now shifted to Zero Caliber 2.
What’s especially frustrating is that Zero Caliber 2 appears to offer very little that meaningfully differentiates it from the first game. The marketing again emphasizes impressive visuals, but based on what I’ve seen, it feels more like a repackage than a true sequel. The decision to discontinue work on the first title while selling a nearly identical successor at full price feels exploitative toward the original player base.
This pattern overpromising through flashy visuals, underdelivering on actual content, and then moving on to sell a “new” version undermines trust between developers and their community. It gives the impression of a studio more focused on short-term profit than on creating something lasting or passionate.
As a VR enthusiast, I want to support developers who push the medium forward, but this situation leaves me feeling used rather than valued. The potential was there, but instead of fulfilling it, the developers seem to have abandoned the project in favor of marketing the next iteration. It’s a disappointing example of how not to treat your audience.
Бюджетный аналог Call Of Duty в VR. Отлично играется в коопе. Много обвесов, много оружия. Скины. Уровни можно исследовать чтобы находить скины на оружие, на персонажа. Можно найти отсылку к Хищнику и наверняка к чему то еще. Играется бодро. На последнем уровне сложности приходится много умирать. Добавили зомби режим и поддержку модификаций. Графика отличная (видимо в 2023 это релиз был, я же первый раз играл в 2018). В общем маст хэв + часто скидки на неё бывают.

Played on AMD Ryzen 7600X, RTX 5070, with a Meta Quest 3 via Virtual Desktop. I had been starving for a military style VR game for some time. I have Zero Caliber 2 Remastered on my wishlist, but decided to give this game a try since it was on sale. I really wanted to be immersed in the game, as if I was truly a combat soldier fighting against an oppressive group/regime. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of people out there who want the same thing. The solo campaigns with AI teammates is what drew me into Zero Caliber. There aren't a lot of military VR games that offer this; most of focused on PVP or CO-OP.
The Good: The tutorial is thorough as are the training areas. The game play is fun! It's coordinated and chaotic, as you would expect in actual battle. Some may not like this, but I appreciated not having to hunt for ammo. I enjoyed having teammates. It was an immersive experience.
The Bad: I experienced jank on occasion, usually when I was turning my head quickly. The graphics are not Alyx quality. They are more on par with the original Wanderer. My AI teammates sometimes ran right in my line of sight, sometimes getting shot by me. Other times they ran in place.
Overall, the game is worth the sale price. I am happy with my purchase. I have high hopes for the sequel being even better with more realistic graphics, smoother gameplay, and smarter AI teammates.
well i like it but there has been a know issue with the way they setup the gunstock calibration and they never fixed it, that tells me they are incompetent or they don't care ether way, makes me rethink buying ZC2. Shame

Game left some what unfinished. Can't connect with friends, desync, mostly abandoned for the quest version. Doubt their sequel will be left in a better state after they've gotten what they need out of the pcvr community. Buy at your own risk.

This game WAS really good, but then the devs hard-focused on developing the Quest version and neglected updating the PCVR version for about a year. Then when they came back, they copy/pasted the Quest version over and everything got SO much worse. Now they've abandoned this game to work on a "sequel".
Not even worth it when it's on sale.

Game is really good. I played the campaign missions in 2 player coop and it was great fun. Gun customisation is excellent and missions well thought out. I would highly recommend this game.
PCVR gaming has a major issue at the moment where people negatively review VR games for being "mid". What the ♥♥♥♥ do you want?! Yes, if this was flat screen then it might be "mid", but the VR implementation is solid and it'a blast to play. The investment in VR gaming isn't here yet, and if non-VR users see all VR games as Mixed or Mostly Positive it's a further detractor from them getting on board.
Favorite part is campaign. Recommend hardest difficulty. I like that when playing this way I'm using my legs to duck and lean around corners.

This game is genuinely just kind of mid. Also the devs have gone ultra-sleeze mode and are trying to sell their upcoming "remaster" (it's the quest 2 version ported, but don't tell anyone I told you that!). Also their marketing keeps switching between "remaster" and "sequel". This feels like a reversed No Man's Sky that's just a downfall arc lol

For the 10 dollars I spend on it it is pretty good. I have only played the single player campaign and have no real interest in multiplayer.
There is a central hub where you can buy a variety of weapons and attachments and prepare load-outs for missions. The guns are like wish dot com knockoffs of real guns, so for example you have a Chris V. instead of a KRISS Vector, but it looks slightly off and they missed the vectoring part (the slide sort of rotates down to prevent the barrel from kicking upwards).
It's very COD with mowing down loads of bad guys while you advance cover to cover. Small gripe is that enemy spawns are programmed in and they tend to spawn very close to the player, sometimes they just pop in right in front of you or worse in the empty corner you just checked behind you. Don't expect any deep plot development just blasting baddies until you are knee deep in brass.
I like how you can pull the pin out of grenades with your teeth.
A big hiccup for me are the holsters, they are by far the ABSOLUTE worst I have ever experienced in VR. You can move them around but only together. If I adjust the height so I can store my sidearm on my hip I have to grab magazines Below my crotch, If I adjust it so I can comfortably grab magazines from about navel height my sidearm is in my armpit. Grenades are overlapping with the spot where you grab ammo, so if you carry grenades there is a good chance you grab a grenade and try to jam that in your gun when reloading. I simply cannot grab my sidearm reliably without looking at it first for some reason, even if I grab around until I find it and then keep my hand in the same place there is a 50/50 chance it will actually work a second time.
I feel like the problem here is that there is another weapon slot above your ammo which makes space there way too tight. I don't really get why they didn't just let you store it over the shoulder or something.
Хороший подобно call of duty или battlefield шутер для VR. Присутствует большая сюжетная компания, которую можно проходить одному или с друзьями (я проходил один). Приятное количество оружия и его кастомизации. Хорошее управления оружия. Малое количество багов. Есть PvP режимы и кастомные карты (в основном из CS, там их очень много). Есть даже зомби режим.
А теперь перейдем к недостаткам: Странный баланс оружия и гаджетов оружия. Если нацепить рукоятку или фонарик на оружие, то ты не сможешь их снять. НПС видят тебя через стены (на высокой сложности почти нереально компанию в соло пройти). Первые миссии очень интересные, а вот последние как будто были сделаны другими людьми (финальные миссии не интересны и босс тем более скучный). В игре есть скины на оружие, которые открываются с уровнем или если вы нашли его на карте, но в 90% случает вы просто найдете в кампании оружие со скином, но это вам не даст доступ к самому скину, также при открытии скина, вы должны поднять уровень, и купить это скин. Обычные нпс-бандиты к ним претензий нету, но вот к военным в камуфляже, у них очень странная текстура в районе шеи (по началу когда вы их увидите, то ничего не заметите, но после выстрела, шеи вытягиваются как у Лемингов). Про однотипность заданий в компании говорить нечего, просто стреляй-беги-взрывай. Так же если до финальных миссий, у разработчиков была логика с C4(ее всегда нужно было где то найти), то в конце у главного героя видимо весь "задний карман" напичкан C4. Еще в начале и до финальных заданий скины, оружие со скинами, какие то уникальные сборки оружия находятся очень часто, то последние миссии абсолютно пустые. Баланс при игре в соло не очень хорошо рассчитан, например миссия с дождем на пляже(она одна такая), я смог пройти только с раза 5, потому что почти ничего не видно на ней, врагов очень много и в конце этой миссии нужно пробежать назад на спавн, и слева идет бесконечное количество врагов (естественно вы этого не поймете сначала и будете стрелять в них), я в итоге с 5 попытки понял что проще пробежать на правой части карты игнорируя врагов. Так же хотелось бы больше оружия все таки разнообразного, а то АК слабые, М-ки с большим разбросом, со снайперок сложно стрелять из за прицелов, дробовики бесполезные. Еще хотелось бы чтобы враги хоть как то повреждались и не были пластелиновыми, а лучше чтобы как в Blood Trail VR себя вели при ранениях.
Но вообщем денег и времени того стоит. Тем более уже релизиться 2 хоть каких то изменений в отличии первой части.

[*]Сетевой код плохо себя чувствует. Напарника подергивает при перемещении. В PVP режиме моя очередь по другу (играли 1 на 1) просто не засчитывалась. Иногда он убивал меня за секунду, только показавшись из-за угла.
