Get the remake, do yourself a favor.
This is not as bad as the internet would make you believe but it is a death by many small cuts.
The Levels are huge and feel kind of empty. Some quills tend to be "too well" hidden, making it super frustrating finding the few your missing in the large levels.
I am also not a fan of the "minigames" as they last too long and you gotta beat them twice. Like if I beat the highscore on the first run, why do I need to play again?
Also the main idea seems to be that you just do a level a little bit, move to the next, get a new skill and come back, but they don't give you a hint that maaaybe you need a skill here, so you waste your time...

The remake fixes these huge issues with a map and having all skills from the get go. Not sure about the minigames being tedious

A good first entry in a new series. Fun, charismatic and with many cool ideas. Nice characters and worlds, decent challenges, great soundtrack. Had some issues right after the release but several of them were addressed with patches.

The one thing I don't like, however, is that the levels become absolutely MASSIVE after you fully unlock them. The moveset helps exploring them with ease regardless of that, so if you like big open worlds, you'll love it. But I prefer my playing area a bit more concise.

I was one of the original kickstarters for this game and honestly i will say, if you liked Banjo Kazooie back in the day, you will like this game, the characters are not as charming but do the job, i think the world design could have been different; more levels and more compact as in BK, but the levels (once expanded) are more akin to BT, still liked the game and recommend it.

Игра вызвала у меня сильное чувство ностальгии. Она стилистически очень напоминает платформеры времён PS1, в которые я залипал в детстве. Большие уровни, куча коллекционных предметов, секреты и возвращение в уже открытые локации - всё это создаёт то самое ощущение приключения из 90-х. Исследовать мир действительно интересно: иногда нужно подумать, иногда - просто внимательно осмотреться.

Отдельно порадовали мультяшная графика и лёгкий юмор - игра постоянно подмигивает игроку и не воспринимает себя слишком серьёзно.

Но без минусов не обошлось. Главная проблема - камера. Она часто живёт своей жизнью, выбирает неудобные ракурсы и мешает точным прыжкам. В платформере это критично, поэтому временами управление начинает откровенно раздражать.

В итоге это хороший и душевный проект для тех, кто скучает по старой школе, но с техническими шероховатостями, которые могут подпортить впечатление.

Yooka-Laylee is a super fun game that is clear it's developed by some former Rare employees that worked on Banjo-Kazooie.

However, replaying the original Yooka-Laylee after playing Yooka-Replaylee you defnitely notice a bunch of crappy design choices the developers decided to bring over from Banjo-Kazooie. Those design choices sucked in the '90s and they suck even more today.

Yooka-Laylee is like a modern take on Banjo-Kazooie, while Yooka-Replaylee is if Banjo-Kazooie and Mario Odyssey had a baby.

I am glad both exist, and they are both fun in their own ways.

ive always defended this game ive played about 140 hours on switch. its a pretty good 3d platformer. yes the enemys do feel basic but the moment to moment gameplay feels very strong. getting the flight abilty unfortunatley does imo hamper the gameplay and is to exploitable and devalues certain abiltys. there are bad elements to the game but i feel the game is far better than people give it credit for. the ghosts are far more intersting as a mechanic than the jinjos and feel more involved. the platforming is fun and fluid, the charecters feel like banjo charecters. while it is by no means a perfect game there is a lot the original yooka laylee does right and i personally am glad the devolpers didnt abandon yooka laylee after its inital reviewers were overly critical to it, because there cleary is something special here.

I loved playing [i] Banjo-Kazooie [/i] (1998), it's one of my favourite games. This game undeniably takes inspiration from that game but falls short in pretty much every conceivable way in trying to be its spiritual successor.

It feels like you're constantly interupted by characters speaking, panning camera shots and long transitions when entering/exiting areas. Pretty much all characters (and there's quite a lot) have some sort of stupid dialogue which would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that their dialogue never seem to want to end, and it's not like they have anything good to say. They always ramble about something trivial that I couldn't give any less of a crap about. At one point I started skipping it altogether, but then I felt bad so I resorted to skimming through it instead. Can i just please play the game without being interrupted by something all the time? :)

They all have their own weird and quirky character noise when speaking, exactly like in B-K ([i]Banjo-Kazooie[/i]). Except in that game the voices actually fit the characters and were unique and funny. These voices on the other hand are annoying and not charming at all, not even our main protagonists' voices. Which would be passable if it wasn't for the fact that they never shut up. I kinda like Laylee though.

[*]A modern 3D platformer with wonky, clunky and imprecise controls.

[*]The stamina meter serves zero purpose other than being an inconvenience. You just kinda stand there for what seems to be an unpredictable amount of time for it to fill back up just for you to be able to continue to use one of your powers. Feels more like a game hindrance rather than a design choice with purpose. No risk-reward in it whatsoever.

[*]The common enemies pose zero threat, while some of their villainous peers right beside them can beat you to a pulp in seconds. But once again, no risk-reward. You can get killed, respawned and still have the things you collected being saved. I like the convenience in that, but it makes it feel kinda worthless trying to stay alive. Nothing feels to be at stake.

[*]It's a 3D-platformer, but also a collectathon. Problem is most places feel barren, where no collectables are to be seen. 'Quills', the equivalent of B-K's 'Musical Notes' feel far less common in this game and are oddly placed. They are meant to be sought after yet almost always appear in plain sight when you come by them.

[*]The premise is bad. I barely know what the purpose of the adventure is. To find and collect pages or "Pagie"(s) from some random book? Which happens to be of gold? Because it was sucked up by some machine made by some villain? Most of said pages conveniently end up in conveniently placed treasure chests in random worlds, whom are opened whenever you complete a random challenge or help some person out, who for whatever reason got their hands on a page. Yeah watafak is the purpose of this? Banjo-Kazooie didn't perhaps have the most ground breaking premise either, but at least I know that it's an adventure about rescuing Banjo's sister Tooty.

[*]Music and sound effects are yucky. Everything is so bombastic and over the top. I constantly felt the need to turn down my volume. The music is really uninspiring and mostly annoying if anything.

[*]Breaking the fourth wall is a big personal nono, and it's happening constantly. They couldn't help but to do it even right before the end credits rolled: "- ALMOST?! I RISKED MY NECK FINISHING THIS GAME!", "- CALM DOWN LAYLEE. I'M SURE THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF TIME TO TOP UP OUR HERO KUDOS IN THE FUTURE." Yeah, also that, alluding to a future title. Kinda bold considering all the things I mentioned and the harsh critique by others.

I'ts a modern version of N64 collectathons with flaws. I wasn't around when the Nintendo 64 and Banjo-Kazooie came out. I've only seen videos. Yooka-Laylee was an attempt at making a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie. It got me interested so I got myself the game. While the game was fun to play and i've managed to 100% it, it was kinda mid. There was nothing in this game that blew me away. The levels looked fine but some of them were too large with too little content to engage with. It just felt like a generic collectathon. Performance wise, this game likes to stutter sometimes and graphically it looks kinda like plastic. I don't know if that was the style they were going for but some areas and characters look kinda cheap. I'm not sure if I should recommend this. I will give it a thumbs up on Steam but just be aware that this game is nothing special. I wouldn't blame anyone that thought this game was boring. The developers have released a remake of the game and to be honest, it looks bad. sure, the graphics have been updated but the game has now been infested by Super Mario odyssey stuff. sh*t like the purple coins and playing an animation every time you get a pagie (the main collectible). I was half expecting to get the remake added to my library for free but that wasn't the case and i don't really care anyway. It's basically the same game but now with mechanics they ripped from Mario Odyssey.

Yooka-Laylee is a throwback to Rare's collectathon heyday. Granted, that's what it was advertised as being and it delivered! Playing through this, there were many moments where I was thrust back to my younger self playing Banjo-Kazooie on the Nintendo 64, exploring the Isle o' Hags. Going around levels, gaining new abilities, solving puzzles or challenges at every turn, it was a blast.

Of course, the game is not without its faults. For example, I feel as though the overworld was a tad large, as if more had been intended but just was not implemented. The controls of YL were sometimes clunky, such as when swimming or flying (not to mention I kept wanting to roll or long-jump like in Super Mario 64). I feel like more standard mobility would have been nice. Additionally, certain challenges were reused, albeit changed, across the levels. The minecart is the biggest offender and the later challenges could be frustrating due to a combination of narrow margin of error and iffy controls. Hopefully, Yooka-Replayee addresses some of those issues.

Still it's a charming game and if you enjoyed these kinds of games, you're liable to get some enjoyment out of this one. Again, it's advertised as a throwback to those Rare classics and I enjoyed going on the adventure. After all, this type of game which is rather 'Rare' these days. I'll let myself out...

Not a good spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie. After only 8 years, Playtonic remade the game, fixing most of its issues, but didn't bother to give the remake to existing owners for free. Even the Kickstarter backers that funded the game/company and never got DLC that was promised to us, didn't get the remake for free. Needless to say, I "found" the remake elsewhere. Don't trust this developer (that grew to become a successful publisher btw). Playtonic is a greedy company.

This game is a true hommage to the collectathone games of old. You can see that everything has its place and the game makes no secret about its references. But that is also a big problem: The 4th wall breaks are too much, Laylee is too edgy and the self-aware game entities are cute in World 1, but irritating in World 2.

I really wanted to love this game, there are very clever moments like an enemy that is just googly eyes, that can turn clutter objects alive, which is basically what all those games did before. But on the other hand you have controls that will not always respond in a way you'd expect. Mini-Games where a single mistake will cost you the try and you'll have to do the dialog and cutscene again until you can try again.

There are tiny tidbits here and there that make me go "Oh, that's clever", but around the next corner I'll think "Damn, that's bad game design." My playtime is split between 6+ game sessions since I could not keep playing that game for longer.

If you are asking yourself: Is the story good then? No, it is not. There is a MacGuffin that gets taken in the intro and the duo needs to go on a collectible hunt, because they wanted to sell it. There is no connection to the antagonist or even his lair, which is basically the house next door.

Being a relatively nostalgic person, I remember fondly playing Banjo Kazooie, and Banjo Tooie, so I thought I'd give this a go. It feels and controls a lot like I remember of the old 3D Platformers. I did enjoy it, and I also enjoyed it enough to pick up its "Impossible Lair" DLC. I recommend if you have nostalgic happiness connected to old similarly styled 3D Platformers with silly humour. I DO feel there was something missing... maybe I just don't like a chameleon and a bat as much as a bear and a bird? Either way, it is good.

I wanted to sit down and REALLY dive into this game for years, but I never could for some reason. But I finally gave it a real shot and man, I'm loving it so much. I'm more of a Mario 64-andy rather than a Banjo chud, so as for 2017 indie platformers, I honestly like this a lot more than A Hat in Time. Yooka has so many cool moves to learn and it genuinely makes me excited when I find a Ghost Writer, or even a pagie. I even get excited finding every quill because collecting stuff is just so fun and a lot of these challenges are pretty neat. My only issue is I feel levels are too big and a map or hint system would be nice to have. But regardless I'm excited to play the remake at some point!

This Game literally falls of a Cliff after the First Level, my God.
The First level is amazing, it really recaptures the "Banjo-Kazooie" Flair and i loved that. But then...

Already in the second Level, everything goes downhill for me. Leveldesign, astethic, Gameplay, just everything. And sadly it only gets worse after this. The levels get more and more frustrating to navigate, cheap mechanics around every corner. And the Final Boss, just WoW.

This Fight was so incredibly boring, uninspired and just awful, that even my Son (with whom i was playing this game, 8y old, begged me to stop because it was just that awful

Sorry but no, if you are looking for a good Banjo-Kazooie style game, THIS AINT IT

Really wanted to like this game but the levels are way too big and the worlds empty. Its like the worst possible copy of banjo. It was such a flop that now the game has been released recently as a redux.

Pick up the Re-release version and avoid this game as it fixes all the issues and does a major overhaul.

through a massive effort of will i made it to the swamp, where a talking signpost told me it wanted me to plant some seeds to grow mushrooms. sure. the first was simple. the second took several tries because the seed would get stuck in a corner. this required me to wait out the forty five second timer each try, which was grating by the fourth and final successful attempt. having planted the two seeds i could see, i thought i was done with a tedious, annoying minigame, but the signpost repeated its dialogue. i looked around and found the third seed, the planting of which would have involved navigating a course covered in obstacles that would instantly render an attempt void if touched (without, again, restarting the timer, requiring more waiting around).

nope! i'm good. the game to that point had its moments but was mostly tolerable at best. i'm a big advocate of dropping games when they stop being fun and by the numbers i saw less than half of the game. that's fine, because i don't have any reason to believe that there's anything more fun than what i've seen to this point. do not buy or play this. go download a banjo-kazooie rom and enjoy that instead.

(as an addendum, i hope very much that playtonic shortened their logo video after this game. you aren't pixar. calm down.)

Juegazo de aventura 3D. Gráficamente es muy vistoso, los mundos por recorrer son coloridos/creativos, los personajes son muy carismáticos, la jugabilidad muy fluida y la música acompaña. Si querés jugar un juego tipo el legendario Banjoo Kazoie esto es lo más cercano que tenés y obviamente si te gusta este género, es una compra obligada.

A beautiful game that recalls the good old days of 3D platformers from the early 2000s. The developers have filled the game with many loving references to that era. The conversations with the NPCs are full of humor and always make you smile. The game feels like a trip back to childhood, evoking memories of Banjo-Kazooie and other masterpieces of its era. Even Shovel Knight makes a cameo, poking fun at the three-dimensional world.

There's plenty to collect, puzzles to solve, and areas to explore. The game runs smoothly on the Steam Deck and still looks beautiful. Thanks to the developers for this impressive game.

Me sorprendió bastante la verdad, de niño me pase los 2 Banjoo Kazooi y me encantaron bastante, así que jugar a este juego se sintió como un "homenaje" a dichos juegos, tiene lo que te esperas de un Banjo Kazooi y el juego tiene 90% de la estructura de esos juegos.

Los niveles se ven bastante bien, lamentablemente se siente vacios debido a que no hay casi enemigos alrededor, también otra cosa fue es que no sé se siente muy corto, creo que los 2 juegos de Banjo eran más largos que este y eso que fueron de la Nintendo 64, aún así está bastante bien.

Lo recomiendo en descuento y si quieres sacarle todos los logros no te llevará mucho esfuerzo, es muy sencillo dentro lo que cabe

HEAR ME OUT YOU SHOULD STILL PLAY THIS GAME!
I had a really special experience with Yooka Laylee.
It was sitting in my library after catching tons of heat online before I got to play it.
So I waited with Replaylee on my wishlist hoping beyond hope that a gamedev team was being honest.
They gave me BASICALLY A WHOLE CHILDHOOD, so I trusted them.
I have been rewarded for that trust beyond my wildest imagining.
The correction they made for this game in Replaylee is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unimaginable.
Seriously. I played this in the runup to release, and it is almost UNPLAYABLE.
But seriously, feeling this before the remake, is probably a BIG part of what makes it glow so hard.
If nothing else, this is a horrid but worthwile hors d'oeuvres to a magnificent main course.
trash/10 but super worth it to see where they built from. mindblowing.

playing this, dropping it, then playing it after the remake just highlights the insane seams in this game. listen, i don't need bells jingled every 3 seconds to keep my attention, and i play games to enjoy them. it's by no means horrible, but it can get tedious fast because of all the backtracking and extra tacked-on steps, despite the charm you can feel in a lot of the game. i am not being very fair because i am writing this almost a decade and after the remake came out, but i would strongly recommend you go play that one instead. the remake isn't flawless either, but i do think it's a much more fun game. still leaving it as a positive because i think this game is interesting even if i would not particularly recommend you go out of your way to make a point to play it.

Ehh... it's alright I guess. I wish I could give it a 50/50. I have to preface by saying that I've never played Banjo-Kazooie, which this is based off of, so keep that in mind. I got 100% completion after about 17-18 in-game hours (Steam hours are from leaving it on overnight).

What I liked:
- Platformer + Collectathon, always a nice chill genre to play
- Decent on mouse/keyboard for the most part
- I enjoyed exploring the levels and main hub, though I wish there were more secrets in the latter

Some gripes I had while playing through it:
- The camera tends to act against you enough to where it gets annoying, yet the other camera setting is too sluggish for me even at the highest sensitivity. Need it to be more snappy too.
- Some of the worlds/levels seem to have a lot of open space, which makes you travel a lot just to find the hidden stuff that you're missing. Getting [spoiler]flight[/spoiler] near the end-game does help with this, but the handling on it sucks.
- Adding onto the previous point, the start of the game feels really slow, since you only get more movement abilities after you finish and move onto another world. Sure, I could keep leaving the early worlds sooner and unlock the next one to get the next new ability (since the early worlds are cheap to unlock), but I'm naturally going to collect everything that I can while I'm already there before moving on.
- The difficulty curve spikes unexpectedly at certain parts of the game. I'm not mad cuz git gud ofc, but it was definitely a wtf moment. There are two spots in particular, which was the Hurdle Hijinx mini-game and the World 5 boss. The former is simply coded poorly, or is at least mechanically flawed in the game sense department. The latter is annoying because the [spoiler]boat transformation[/spoiler] you use to fight the boss already has awful handling, so avoiding attacks can be a pain.

Suggestions (even though the game is complete/probably won't change):
- Perhaps more enemy variety. There are a few different types of enemies, but the basic one that chases you is the same in every world, but re-skinned. This isn't that big of an issue though.
- I wish you could use 2 or 3 tonics (ability enhancements) at a time, since I feel 1 is too limiting.
- More customization options. Why do I get [spoiler]pants[/spoiler] as the only customization option? It's also only obtained after beating the game AND takes up your only tonic slot. I get that that's the joke, but it's kinda lame.
- A map of sorts, to show where each challenge is since trying to find the 1 or 2 you're missing at the end is annoying. Though I get that a good chunk of them are secret, at least showing me where the important NPCs are would be nice.
- A better version of the hunter tonic. I spent way too long searching for 3 missing quills in world 4 because they weren't anywhere in the main area and the only thing the tonic does is whistle when I'm near them. Ideally, it should give me a general direction of where they are with an arrow or something so I don't waste my time checking every wrong area.

Yooka-Laylee is like finding a long-lost N64 cartridge under your couch, popping it in, and realizing it actually runs at 60 FPS. It’s a love letter to the classic 3D collectathons — think Banjo-Kazooie with a modern coat of paint, a snarkier bat, and a suspiciously smooth chameleon.

The worlds are bright, colorful, and full of goofy characters that grunt, squawk, and mumble their way into your heart. Collecting Pagies scratches that old-school platforming itch perfectly, and expanding levels makes revisiting areas genuinely exciting. Plus, the soundtrack? Absolute gold. David Wise and Grant Kirkhope didn’t just make music — they made nostalgia audible.

There are a few rough edges here and there: the camera can occasionally act like it drank too much Tonic, and some objectives feel a bit like filler. But honestly, that’s part of the charm. It’s a game that knows exactly what it wants to be — and if you grew up loving late ‘90s platformers, it delivers.

An homage to Banjo Kazooie that is very much stuck in that time. The game does a poor job of explaining that some things you will not be able to get to until later when you get more skills. Some puzzles are straight forward, some are so obtuse you would never hope to figure it out without a guide. The characters had charm at time, but jokes about how the game is antiquated fall flat when it really is. Hopefully the 2D sequel is better

I only reccomend the game because it did have some redeeming qualities, but there are quite a few annoyances with the game.

The camera wants to lock into position at random points of the map regardless of where you were looking or what you're doing which can cause problems in certain parts of the game, also the camera is blocked by the world assets and background which can make looking around difficult.

The levels can be a bit too big with vast spaces of emptiness and some of the challenges require traveling a long distance or collecting a lot of things to complete which can be annoying to deal with between play sessions, the Icymetric Castle in the second world can be a good example of this.

Difficulty can be an issue many of the timed challenges even when done nearly perfect leave maybe one or two seconds of leeway or you barely have enough time to complete a puzzle that requires you to change from before turning back

While not overly prevalent in my playthrough there can be issues with getting stuck in terrrain at random points that could hinder progress.

Enemies that agro you will continue to do so in the dialogue cutscenes so if you spend too much time reading you could find yourself in trouble

Over all the game is pretty fun though and not overly punishing from failure, usually you can just try a challenge again right away and dying usually just brings you back to the level entrance or the door of the room you came through.

A good 3d platformer, it´s not as bad as many people claim it is.

While it is not particularly innovative, and while it misses the strong execution of Banjo-Kazooie´s Worlds, it still delivers a solid experience in many ways.

I appreciate learning new abilities as you progress, although such progression sadly feels unbalanced, as not having enough quills can impede the exploration of a level.
I also appreciate searching and finding the "unique" collectibles in each level, such as the health and energy power-ups, the molly-cool, the Rextro token as well as the ghost writers and the pirate treasure.

Some characters such as the protagonists, Capital B, Dr.Quack, Throwzer and Rampo are funny and memorable, others tend to be absolutely unremarkable.

The length of the game and the Pagie requirement to fight Capital B are fine.
The controls are snappy and the camera is ok. Unlike in the PS5 version of the game, where extreme input lag renders the game almost unplayable.

It does feel "a bit empty" at moments and to be honest there are few places I really look forward to return to in a second playthrough...
So I guess the satisfaction mostly comes from the collection of Pagies and all other collectibles, as well as the sense of progression from learning new abilities and finally from controlling the characters themselves and using said abilities.
The puzzles and platforming range from decent to good.

Many elements, such as the humor or Laylee´s attitude are taken from or pay homage to Banjo-Kazooie, in a good way.
What it misses is the charm and the tight level design of B-K.
Yet it still manages to deliver a solid experience.

Overall a good game. 8/10

A love letter to the 90s collectathons! As a backer of the kickstart project, I am happy with the final version of Yooka-Laylee we got. The colorful 3D platformer feels and plays like a Nintendo 64 classic such as Banjo-Kazooie or Donkey Kong 64, with medium sized levels that grow with every power-up unlocked. The formula works and finding new pages is always a joy, challenging but not absolutely so. Unfortunately the game did not evolve the genre and at launch faced various technical issues that slowed down the experience, but hopefully these will be adjusted in the upcoming remake.

How to say this... I think I will first give a comparison, then the reason I'm making it.
Do you remember (if you're old enough) the time when we switched between 2D and 3D? The good old N64 (or maybe PS1, but I've mostly been on the Nintendo side when I was a hatchling)

Old games were hard, but not unnecessarily hard (well, there were such games, but wasn't a good thing). We complain that today, games are way too easy, and your only answer is "we gained experience".
It's false. I mean... It's true we gained experience, but we still recognise a hard game old-school fashion way.

Yooka-Laylee? Seriously, a game I loved that was in N64 was Donkey Kong 64. And this game? I just get such a vibe of the genre. The game is hard, but not hard like a Dark Souls can be where mistakes can be punishing. It's hard the old-fashion way because you don't find HP regen everywhere (or don't need to just stand up for 5 seconds to get back full HP), mastering control takes some time while basics are still easy to understand... I'm barely at the second level, and I already got a "game over". But game overs are still easy with you, you have no life limit and you simply restart the current area/room you are in without losing progress, so in case of game over, no frustration. (and to be honest, my game over was rather deserved, I went a bit wild in a difficult area ^^") So if you lived the N64/PS1 generation, you will learn what is a nostalgia, not of a specific game or a specific music, but [b]for a genre![/b]

Ok, time to give pros and cons (first game I will review like that, might do so for other games and even past reviews)

• A game using the old-school (N64/PS1) style fashion bringing back youth's feelings.
• But graphic still enjoying the modern technology (at least for 2017), here with a cartoon style.
• Humor is present and appreciated.
• Basic controls easy to learn and intuitive.
• Tutorial on the flow. Adventure starts with a few obstacles to give opportunities to learn basic controls, then abilities have to be learned and you get to experience with them after knowing how to use them.

• If you happen to alt tab and leave the game minimised for an extended period of time, it might end up getting control issues, forcing you to force-close it.
• Despite being border-less windowed, alt-tabbing forces the game to get minimised.

• Rather childish lore, but adds to the humor for those who love.
• 4th wall sometimes destroyed, you like it or not.
• In tutorials, button inputs are directly in characters' dialog.

Yooka-Lylee traz uma boa experiência para aqueles que buscam um jogo nos moldes dos jogos de plataforma 3D do clássico Nintendo 64, o jogo diverte bem e entrega o que promete apesar de ter alguns pontos negativos como apenas 5 mundos a serem explorados(apesar de serem mundos grandes), eu preferiria mapas menores e em maior quantidade.

Yooka-Laylee, una gran secuela espiritual de Banjo-Kazooie.
Muchos menosprecian este juego por "pretender ser una "copia" de Banjo-Kazooie, pero yo no lo veo asi.
Creo que el objetivo principal, mas que ser una "copia", fué revivir el estilo de juego "collectathon" clásico y adaptarlo a la era moderna, lo cual lo hace muy bien sin problemas.

Hace un gran homenaje a la época dorada del plataformeo 3D (y algunos 2D como Donkey Kong Country). Se siente la escencia de algunos juegos como Donkey Kong 64, Conker's Bad Fur Day y el mismo Banjo-Kazooie, todos estos influenciados por Super Mario 64.

El juego es muy bueno en todos sus aspectos. Es muy agradable de ver los gráficos y el diseño de los mapas y arte.
El gameplay tambien se siente fluido. La cámara a veces no se posiciona bien y suele ser un poco molesta, pero no es tanto.
La música tambien es un gran acierto. Se puede notar a leguas la escencia de Grant Kirkhope (director de la música de Banjo-Kazooie) en la música por su distinguido estilo.

En cuanto a longitud o tiempo para terminarlo, si lo considero algo largo. Los mapas son inmensos y puede ser algo bueno para explorar o apreciar, pero no tanto cuando tienes 199/200 plumas en un mundo y esa pluma que te falta tienes que buscarla por el inconmensurable mundo. Una pesadilla.

Ya lo habia jugado y completado desde que salio en 2017, pero recientemente volví a jugarlo y lo disfruté mas.
