It's a real game, the way you remember them. Fun, instantly available, no FOMO, no time limited events, no unlocks. Just a place to have fun in an offroad physics sandbox racer. You are allowed to be a complete ass and drive a bus sideways, it gives the players in cars a challenge and an obstacle to avoid. The genius with this game is that it lets both trolls, serious players, racers, chaos makers and everyone in between jump in and have fun. Totally recommeded.

Banger, en dehors des crashs, ça tourne bien.
La physique tarmac/gravel/boue est tellement meilleure que sur le 1, on reste dans l'arcade du destruction derby avec un feeling se voulant un peu plus simu.
Au niveau du contenu, ça avance tranquillement sur le dev, y'a de quoi s'amuser un peu.
Au niveau du prix, ça peut sembler toujours très élevé pour une early, mais vaut son pesant d'or si on croit au projet quand on sait ce qu'ils ont réussi à faire sur le 1. (Pas de season pass et autre niaiseries, un achat de jeu, achat de DLC si voulu, et ça s'arrête là)
Hâte que le projet avance et que ça devienne la nouvelle référence du genre.

Bought this game as ive played Wreckfest 1 ever since release. (level 100+)
Many hours were put into the first game so presuming that wreckfest 2 was going to be just as good if not better. but not anywhere near a finished game? WHERES THE CAREER MODE? WHERES ONLINE SERVERS? WHERES NORMAL RACES? UTTER WASTE OF MONEY AND HAS BEEN LIKE THIS SINCE THE GAME RELEASE.
feels like as the years have progressed companies can now release 'BETAS' or 'early access'for people to try which this company have done yet this is not a beta or a test you are purchasing the full game which seems to me like its been made within a few hours?
if youve come to this game from playing wreckfest 1 and loving wreckfest 1, i would suggest sticking to that game as this is a waste of money and i wish i had got a refund on this but i told myself i had to keep trying it as it should feel better one day and it ahs not.
STAY AWAY UNTIL THE GAME IS FULLY FINISHED AND NOT 'EARLY ACCESS' DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

So I started by playing the challenge mode and boy can i say is that rigged AF on top of that the AI is brain dead. There is no car modification the wheel support isnt great. I loved the first game and its sad to see so many features that released with that game didn't come with this one. I would love to see upgrades for all of the existing cars before we see another car. Bring back the better tuneing options thats what made OG wreckfest great. It just doesnt feel right to recommend this game in its current form.

Lets say you catch the pack in first on a oval track and you continue to lap everyone while dodging the "wreckfest", and you still get first while having first the whole time and one guy was driving a bright pink rv with a sabrina jpeg on the side, You simply turn the game off, go kiss your nearest loved ones knowing what you accomplished but you cant explain. Lots of fun, no matter your preferred play style there is a server for you!
Online servers are ~completely community run at the moment, sometimes it can take a while to find the one you are looking for, but the search feature and option to "Favourite" a server really helps!

Fairly limited selection of cars to pick from currently, with a newly implemented upgrade system shaking up the balance - there is still a meta but far more car variety can be seen than before the latest update :)

Greatly looking forward to the future of this (currently Early Access) game!

Not ready yet, I can't say it's worth the $40 I paid for it. Played wreckfest 1. Enjoy it a lot felt like a complete game. Wreckfest 2 however still has a long way to go.

Not really any sort of progression system. The only thing to do is either quick races or race online. Player count is low so finding servers (espically in Australia) is hard. Although core merchanics are great (Driving handling). There is still a long ways to go in terms of development and gameplay.

Its still in early access so there are quite a few graphical glitches that are still being fixed but the game is good and getting a good selection of tracks now. . Turn off shadows helps with the glitches a bit. Reccomended

Where should I even start? The game is in Early Access and it’s still in a very Eeeeeeeeeeearly stage. Do I recommend it? "Well yes, but actually no" at least not at this price. Right now it feels like about 30% of the previous game for a similar cost.

The driving model is still fun. Cars react to bumps, different types of surfaces, and the handling changes depending on how damaged the car is. Car sounds are nice too. However, there’s no way to adjust the car or its handling like you could in Wreckfest 1.

On top of that:
no preset paint schemes
no career mode
no music at all
no visual tuning options (bumpers, wheels, tires, roof accessories, spoilers absolutely nothing)
no handling tuning options

The game can still be fun, but I’d still recommend buying the first game instead, because it offers a lot more content. Mods also expand it with additional tracks. At the moment, I can’t really recommend it.

Всратая система замены деталей авто. Просто все в кучу скинули и сиди разбирайся что да как.
Графон тоже пока посредственный.
Зато завезли автобус, который на хрен не нужен точно так же как и система кастомизации авто

Das Spiel (wenn es mal läuft) ist super! Aber es hängt sich oft während es lädt auf, oder manchmal auch bei chrashes im Spiel. Manchmal kann man echt normal spielen, aber an den meisten Tagen ist es nur eine Frage der Zeit bis es abstürzt, leider! Keine Ahnung was da los ist? Hoffe das es bald besser wird, weil so ist der Spaß sehr abhängig wieviel zickerei man ertragen muß, bis man normal spielen kann. Hab schon einiges was es dem Spiel leichter machen sollte in den Einstellungen etc, gemacht, leider nur mit mäßigen Erfolg, weil Anfangs bin ich kaum ins Spiel reingekommen, jetzt wirft es mich (wie bereits erwähnt) dafür des öfteren rausgeflogen bzw. hat den Bildschirm gefreezt, und den Ton. Da kann man auch nicht mehr mit Alt F4 aussteigen, nur noch mit Windows Button. Bleib aber zuversichtlich das es noch ein solides Game wird, und wer den ersten Teil mochte wird diesen Teil lieben. Alles fast besser, keine Couch und Rasenmäher Rennen mehr zum Glück! Das Spiel mit Gas und Bremse funktioniert echt super zum driften, und fühlt sich gut an. Auch das die Autos anscheinend etwas mehr aushalten bevor sie sich komplett Verformen tut meiner Meinung nach dem Spielgefühl gut. Trotz dem ganzen Ärger eine klare Kaufempfehlung ( es gibt halt noch keine Kampagne und noch nicht wirklich viele Strecken) aber bis Ende des EA wird es bestimmt nicht enttäuschen. Viel Spaß damit, oder auch nicht?

GARBAGE!!! These developers idiots, all this is, is a money grab. Can't even play multiplayer without a degree in computer science. I was so hyped for this game, but I just sat there fondling myself while everything said "it's working". There is yet to be another game on the market that does so well at an immersive derby/race style theme. Graphics and damage along with how the vehicles operate with compared to without damage; this makes each race or derby unique in it own ways. It isn't a game to play a bunch everyday, however it IS a game that when you want destruction and competition mashed with tomfoolery with the main goal equaling great stress release with friends and for meeting new friends on the way. The mood of most players are very chill and welcoming! If you have young kids, they will also love Wreakfest. For myself personally, it feels reminiscent of early 2000s burnout games, just with a different theme, less arcade - more realistic, and with a modern physic engines plus other tech used to build the game. It hits the spot for it's style. We are all excited to see what future updates will continue to bring and improve an already awesome game! I'm gonna go tear some shii up on it now haha Peace

ano, je to pouze early access, ale i tak to za mě to hodně překvapilo. Zajímavé změny oproti jedničce.
hlavně možnost si auto nalakovat podle sebe, a to hodně detailně, v novém updatu je i early verze tuningu vozu, která vypadá zajímavě, i když je opravdu early..
Skvělá grafika, zvuky motorů jsou parádní, jízdní model je za mě bezchybný. demolice je stále klasika jako jednička.
některé tratě jsou zpět, ale v novém kabátku. samozřejmostí je i hodně nových tratí a arén.
na výběr je i docela dost nových aut, jako v jedničce i flatoutech jsou tu běžný derby auta, karavan, autobus,, a s každým updatem přijde i nové auto.

Ve hře ještě v podstatě není moc co dělat krom opakování závodů a vyrábění skinů, ale i tak je to zábava.
až vyjde z early accessu bude to pecka.

jediné co mi přijde možná i zbytečné je gestikulace řidiče a kamera mířená na něj.

This game is fire. The graphics look very nice(everyone will agree), driving feels so good & smooth and the car dmg is one of the best part of this game. Multiplayer is pure chaos which makes it so much fun and unique. Most importantly the optimization is GOATed (If your PC can't run this game, it's time for an upgrade.)

But wtf are the devs doing with the latest update? We had Quick Race before, even if we could only play on Scrapyard. Instead of just adding a feature to pick other tracks, they just deleted the etire mode(why???) Such a braindead move, but ok.

And triple screen and VR are still not properly supported

What a freakin' blast! I'm a diehard lover of the original Wreckfest title and after a few updates, this is really shaping up to be a worthy sequel! Even knowing it's very early access, I was worried when I couldn't really play without severe frame drops and lots of crashing (no pun intended).

However, Bugbear has done a few updates now and it's outstanding. Just going to Crash Canyon and playing through that was pure thrill. The way that map has been adapted to this new setup is awesome and still keeps the chaotic appeal of the original track.

I also must say, I'm really happy with the sounds. Really like the way that is turning out already this early on.

The damage situation in this game is going to be next level. They've done a great job with that. If you do crazy stuff like catching huge air and then bottoming out the car in a psychotic manner, you may be punished for that accordingly when the oil pan is smashed and then your engine is living on borrowed time.

As more and more temperature related warnings begin to appear, keeping your demise well in your frantic thoughts, you begin watching the lap counter. Through gritted teeth you wonder to yourself, "Will I make it to the end? Does my friction stricken damage laden monster have the gumption to carry me to the final corner and just maybe the finish?"

It's also great when you're downwind of a wounded opponent. You were cursing yourself for letting the fiend get 10 seconds ahead of you when... yes there it is. That plume of thick smoke rolling through where a typical person's windshield would be. You move in and take the position.

You see what I'm saying folks? Get in there and try this out. Don't starve yourself of the opportunity. Can't wait to see how this one turns out. Support the hell out of Bugbear.

Not sure how this is the same studio that made wreckfest 1. Game is slow, clunky, crashing isnt fun, and the cars break for simply existing. No classes, no tuning, and worse lobby and spectating than wreckfest 1. Using the excuse of "a new game" when Wreckfest 1 already laid the entire framework for features that should easily carry over to the next iteration.

TLDR at bottom

To summarize, I think this game is good but still needs to have major features added/fixed. And I am very aware the game at the moment is early access, but I am posting a review now. I will also compare it Wreckfest 1 which is not a wise thing to do since Wreckfest 2 is in early access, but it is interesting to compare.
Here is just a few things about the game:

Pros:
- Nice variety of race tracks to play. And with more planned to release makes it even better.
- Good list of vehicles to chose from. From muscle cars to vintage classics to motorhomes and school buses.
- Customizable tuning and paint jobs.
- Multiplayer... cool
- DEVS ACTUALLY LISTEN!!

Cons:
- For my experience, the game crashes quite frequently with no warning or reason.
- Replays are in a far away and awkward position to find. I understand many people do not use this feature but I do and it bugs me that you can not replay your races straight after racing them like Wreckfest 1.
- There is no filter in the multiplayer chat to hide sensitive language such as swear words, slurs and other inappropriate subjects.
- If you have a slower/cheaper computer setup then it may take a while to load up races or AI opponents. Especially if you plan to play multiplayer often.

How it compares to Wreckfest 1 at this current moment (as i imagine the Devs will add more feature in the future):
- Lack of customization. You can not upgrade the engine, brakes, etc as well as add accessories onto your car at all. However in Wreckfest 2 you can paint your car.
- In 2, there is no money system like 1.
- 2 is planned to have a more in depth career mode.
- The replay feature is in a different spot, as I mentioned.

TLDR: Game is great, performance needs improvement and features need to be added but the Devs are working on it!

This game was a lot of fun before the latest update. Sadly, history repeats itself and we’re back in Wreckfest 1 territory: huge, almost unkillable school buses in every race—sometimes five or more—while all the other cars are 300 HP, 900 kg guided missiles that corner-bomb you at Mach 3. The community seems to be all about corner-bombing.

But now, in Wreckfest 2, we also have lots of inappropriate liveries with swastikas, genitalia, homophobic slogans and political garbage. The chat is completely unmoderated, extremely toxic, and honestly very representative of those liveries. And that’s just the in-game part.

Don’t even get me started on the crashes to desktop every three minutes, settings not saving, and the livery editor having no undo button. If you accidentally delete a decal group you spent two hours on, it’s just gone.

Basic features are missing from the server admin tools, like selecting which cars are allowed or prohibited, or setting proper rules. The upgrade menu is totally unprofessional. You have to leave the multiplayer server just to upgrade your car to max with no balancing whatsoever, just to somewhat keep up, and then reconnect again.

The cars are simply way too fast for the kind of game this is supposed to be. We should be driving slow cars saved from the scrapyard, racing other slow cars. At the very least they should all be competitive with each other, but right now it just feels random.

That’s not fun banger racing anymore. It’s pure chaos—not the fun, crashing kind of chaos, but the frustrating 200 km/h+ corner-bombing kind, where nobody has their car under control because they’re all so powerful.

This last update was incredibly disappointing and eye-opening. I’ve been a fan since the old FlatOut days (the good ones), but we’re drifting away from the vision of folk banger racing. Instead, it feels like corporate greed again: price increases and the game selling out to the mainstream while losing its most loyal fans.

My prediction is that the game will go downhill if the developers don’t get their act together and rediscover what the game is supposed to be. Otherwise, it’ll turn into a complete wreckfest — and not in a good way.

Playing early access since 4th update, I think i came in a good time or i'm just bias but either way the game is great fun and already plenty to get stuck into. Obviously with it being early access you'll get mixed reviews but I appreciate the title so far and as I'm enjoying it already it can only get better with more content, If you like destruction derby or even racing games in general this is one to pick up, Simulation vets might feel a little out of depth at first but I think most will still appreciate the change and settings. The game modes are decent, online is competitive. The crap it repaint?redamage your vehicle customisation mode has huge potential already, I can see this being a place where many hours are lost spraying decals and making your ride feel unique to you

So far it's a solid 7/10 based on just the content so far, That might well be the ceiling aside from more tracks and games modes but I'll wager if anything the finished article will easily push towards a 8/10 depending on the depth that's on show. Lastly to remember this is a in development game review, one that I will come back and edit on more playthough and finished article

Das Spiel ist bis jetzt einfach nur Scheisse und nicht zu Vergleichen mit dem vorherigem Teil!
Die Steuerung ist hässlich und fühlt sich an wie bei irgend so einem Kinderspiel wie Burnout ...
Die Kamera sitzt vollkommen dreckig hinter der Karre und lässt sich nicht manuell einstellen.
Es gibt keinen Schaden mehr..

Also ich hätte zu gern mein Geld wieder, denn so wie ich das einschätze, wird aus dem Stück Software nichts mehr.
Es ist immer wieder traurig, was aus guten Spielen gemacht wird..
Baut einfach ein Flatout wie es damals war.
Fahrphysik top, schadenssimulation geil,.. alles war stimmig!

Also ihr Software Linguisten.. haut mal in die Tasten, für das Geld welches ihr euch einheimst.

Fun game that can be extremely frustrating at the same time as it's very unforgiving when you make one little error.

Regardless it's the best damage physics in a racer so far and that excitement makes you want to keep coming back for more.

After a couple of poorly executed updates, things seem more stable now, but loading still is a little slow on Linux.

Looking forward to the beginnings of career mode as it's a little overpriced for the amount of context available right now.

There was a great handling model here and a lot of fun, but the devs decided to throw it all away in favour of an upgrade system. Why? Who knows. I mean it's normal to do countrly banger racing in an old Volvo and upgrade it with a ceramic flywheel that costs more than the car right?
Anyway, potential buyers stay away, since whatever you buy at whatever stage of this early access, can change from a fun game into a generic arcade racer.
Also, if the devs are reading this, contact the guy who made Super Woden: Rally Edge and ask him, why his game is fun to drive and yours is not.

In Wreckfest 2, AI are far smarter and cleaner in their aggression, making for some of the best banger racing you can ask for, though maybe still a bit easy. This solves my biggest gripe with 1, with the AI doing everything to sabotage you, with no regard to their own condition. In it's current state, it's a bit barebones to justify $35 for, but it has the foundation to be a perfect successor to the first game. With that, I'd say its worth a purchase, as I imagine full release with a good bit more in cost, and I trust Bugbear to continue the good work they've done for the past 10 years.

raised price again (was 19.99 then 29.99 now 34.99)(39.99 maybe 44.99 soon?) for "current amount of content" at least this time it's more than one car and one track lmao. optimization is a rollercoaster. a very boring one with rare peaks of excitement of speed and high fps and then back to stuttering along the track as you slowly approach another update after a hot fix patch that tanks your fps.

this review will change over time. no tldr

how is anyone exited for not random waypoint racing that is just a really long and barren a to b race? it's not fun, and boring to explore. totally out of left field for a folk racing and demo derby game. Even with random waypoints, it's just not fun when most of the 24 cars are doing whatever and fastest to collect waypoints wins... not much they can do with a mode or track/map like that. destructible buildings are cool though. Bring them back to the oval maps, thanks. ya better off bug fixing and playtesting new cars, upgrades, and tracks instead of game modes that aren't the core gameplay loop or get back to releasing junk that is just recycled from wf1.

career? not yet. livery? some, but how about make your own so we dont have to. and yes, some player's custom skins online are full of genitals, politics, racism, and people who love love love their sponsors they spent 5 hours creating a nascar simulated skin with sponsors and graphics alike.) can block users skins now though.

vehicle customization? how about we throw some parts on the ground and call it a day.. whos idea was that? what was wrong with the old style of bar menu, in the garage, and going into each upgrade and picking what you want instead of seeing engines, flywheels, brakes, suspension, rolls bars, engine upgrades, everything else in a big pile next to menu with the same giant grouping of random parts that you have to slowly select and cycle through (on controller.) oh did i mention the view is a top down, birds eye view looking at the roof of your car with a pile of parts spread out next to it. what were they thinking or generating with ai when that decision was ok'd..

i guess wreckfest is turning into forza or motorstorm. wreckreation perhaps? open world!? no thanks. stick to the script, or apparently whatever terrible decisions "the community wants" like open world races and cars that people will buy the game for and sit in their virtual garage digitally rusting away for eternity.

some corner cutters and people who HAVE to win with assisted grip or magic traction that has full grip, full acceleration yet they do not slide or even produce visible tire smoke just perfect driving every race.. pathetic

not to mention the discord like servers with overmoderation or undermoderation and it's like a cod lobby from 2009. people that obsess over racing clean. sad really. recording you and everyone else.. a common example, another racer or a mod hits your car because of noob braking problems, you hit another car (moderator's), try to recover, they spin out, and then you get banned because you are driving aggressive. oh, i should stop my race so you can recover and then i get rammed by a dozen other cars, ruining MY race, that your idiot noob friend caused. mofo i have 2k hours, i know when it's an intentional spin vs hard racing or noob braking. i know that noob in a starter skin spun me, yes your buddy with 12 hours on the game vs my 2k+ hours.. well you just talked back and now you are perm ban. ive seen some get a 500million year ban. yes someone took the 21394561475816051750 seconds and calculated it to be aprox 500 million years until that user is unbanned.. these people are unhinged. and not in the haha edgy way. thankfully there is no voice chat like on xbox as im sure the screeching and whining would be more than even the loudest combustion engines could silence.

()EDIT() they fixed the crashing, surprisingly over the weekend and released another patch. that's great progress compared to the past.
they pushed back an update, that was then released, in early march that broke the vast majority of users games. game crashing to desktop every race, crashing during races. but muh early access. not an excuse when they have backing of big pub and over a decade of experience (minus the yearly 3-4 month paid vacation always timed right after a big update and the hotfixes are done by the only person not on mandate vacation.)

ill play this for along time, like the first one, but im sure i wont have anywhere near thousands like the first game at the rate this is going. ten years later after it's released.. i most likely wont be buying any dlc since they can't decide about keeping or changing slightly offensive or even country based skins altered month's or years after purchase. who care about me or this review. have fun, whatever, don't get too mad online, they feed off of it :^)

Wreckfest is easily one of the most fun racing games to play!

The graphics and physics are great, and you just have so many moments where you laugh out loud at someone getting absolutely annihilated.

Sure it's early access, but I can't, in good conscience recommend this game right now. I have 0.7hrs in the game but in that time I've had the game crash on loading a race twice, and crash my whole PC while loading once.

I'll ammend this if/when the content isn't so barebones and the stability is improved.

Also, the price went UP during early access? That's just not on

I know this is Early Access, but oh my god. Bare bones content, like no salt no pepper level of seasoning going on here. The game is praised for having revised physics, but honestly, I can't feel a difference and both are self-harm when playing on a wheel. You can "upgrade" the cars, but all cars start with similar stats, and end with similar stats as well. Not to mention no in game currency, so you automatically have every car and every upgrade, making this feature pointless. Armor is gone. Engine swaps are gone. 85% of the cars people cared about: gone. This game was a HUGE step back, almost feeling flatout lazy (see what I did there). Community is still bozo-toxic but that will most likely never change. I played the first game for over 2000 hours on Xbox, and I thought transitioning to PC, getting a brand new game, would be a lot more enjoyable experience. I'm not asking for a dupe of the first game, but this is honestly one of the mot pathetic sequels I have ever played in any genre. Before you add more stupid stuff people DON'T want, add back what people are asking for, and FIX THE GAME SO I DON'T CRASH EVERY 30 MINUTES. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

I love it, all the Negative reviews seem to focus on lack of content, I remember playing the first game in early access and it had 1 track but the final product ended up being awesome and this early release is way better than that, the physics , graphics and game-play are all improved, some people have no patience and want the game to be loaded with content from the outset for £20 quid, Let Bugbear do their thing, they know how to make the best Demolition derby style games, frickin loved Flatout 1 and 2, Oh and the wreckfest community was one of the best, If you don't like early access hold your horses and pay more for the 1.0 release in a year or two whilst I rack up killer lap times and skills.

People are pieces of S*** in this game. There is a bus that can literally block the entire track and ruin the race for every other player. Physics are pretty weak, and there is no option to vote kick the trolls.

You can make some funny car designs though, but this game is the cheapest way to hate myself I have ever found.

Why. Why would you add the schoolbus. People were already griefing with the motorhome. You just gave them another weapon to ruin other's experience. Every race now we just get annihalated by 6 or more busses. Ruin's the experience for new players.

The game has a lot of promise but it seems that I have less and less fun with each update, and the latest one is just frustrating, especially the waypoint race and the newly added vehicle upgrades seem like an afterthought. The devs really need to look at what CONSISTENTLY made Wreckfest so much fun and make changes because this isn't.

Nach dem Content Update 6 stürzt es nur noch ab. Sonst gibt es kein Spiel das bei mir abstürzt. Schwierigkeitsgrad ist bei leicht schon schwer. keine Ahnung warum sich hier nichts verbessert. Ich habe den ersten Teil geliebt, aber das hier ist eine Frechheit und sein Geld nicht wert. Update für Update und es hat sich verschlimmbessert. Macht so kein Spaß.

Wer Wreckfest 1 mag, macht hiermit nichts Falsch. Für mich ein Must have weil es alles vom Vorgänger nimmt und es auf ein Nächstes Level bringt.

Das Beste Feature für mich ist aber dass man jetzt Autos selber komplett designen kann ohne Grenzen.

jusqua la derniere maj de l'early access je ne recomandé pas, mais desormais il n'y a plus de bug
le contenu minimum est arrivé, le jeux est beau
il manque un peu de contenu, possibilité d'upgrade, une carriere ca serait cool et pas juste des defis assez nul.
en ligne ca fonctionne bien, mais il n'y a pour le moment qu'un seul mode de jeux, il manque un vote pour kicker les joueurs, rien de plus penible que de tomber sur un serveur où 2 trolls prennent un bus juste pour rouler en marche arrière, ou bloquer la route.

même si c'est une jeux de démolition, il faut quand même faire la course et se pousser pendant cette course.

aujourd'hui je change l'évaluation en positif car il y a le minimum pour savoir qu'on vas se régaler !

Neat but in a year since EA there's nothing.
This game desperately needs a campaign. It's cool that it embraces the chaos of enduro/destruction derbies but There's no benefit to playing any round you don't finish first. So when random chaos f's you you're just F'd.

New updates for Wreckfest arrive and my Geforce 2070 RTX, 8GB won't do it no more for Wreckfest...
Before the latest wreckfest update, the game played just fine in medium detail.
Right now the game wants to use more then 8GB of video memory according to the setup.
It has become unplayable now!

The game is good, though if you're planning to play multiplayer, be warned, the community can be pretty unhinged. Much more like a Counter Strike or Team Fortress community vs Arc Raiders or Hunt Showdown.

this game is early release atm, and it has potential. it's an arcade style game not a sim, but they got the physics right. the car feels and drives like it should. the online games are fun. the paint shop is very clunky to use, but other players can see your car as you made it, which is very cool. looking forward to more maps and options with the cars. the game runs well on my system, no issues.

But check this out, I've been on Steam for 10+ years with 75 or so games in my library. This is only the 3rd game I've ever thumbs up recommend or reviewed.

fun racing game that lets you wreck your opponents cars and your own car
the game is quite demanding on the hardware side but it gets better with every new patch

im playing it on linux mint with an amd 5600x and intel arc b580 gpu works fine on mid and some high settings and it works fine

be aware there is trashtalking on some servers reminds me of some older games but it seems alot of people get offended by it

i can recomend it for derby fans

Bought it as I love Wreckfest 1....thought after waiting a yr there would be enough content to justify picking up #2. Sadly there isn't at all, the visuals are an upgrade, but with SO MANY missing features coming from Wreckfest 1 to Wreckfest 2 feels like a massive step back.

Im sure in the future there will be more content added, and 3-4 years from now this game may be worth picking it up. But it really isnt right now in its current state, just play Wreckfest 1.
