A hex-based tactics game that really leans into its tabletop roots. Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon plays more like a classic wargame than a modern RTS: slow, methodical, all about positioning, attrition and building up a battered veteran army over many missions.

The presentation is pretty barebones and the UI can feel clunky, but underneath there’s a surprisingly deep campaign with lots of unit variety, satisfying artillery and that grim, industrial 40K atmosphere. If you enjoy turn-based strategy where every move counts and don’t mind dated graphics or a slower pace, this is a very solid and oddly relaxing way to sink dozens of hours into the war for Armageddon.

[i]Каких только флешбеков не словишь, играя в самую недооценённую часть серии войны-молотка сорок тыщь – пошаговую стратегию, повествующую нам о втором лютейшем замесе за Армагеддон, важнейшем мире-улье для Империума, в который вторгся крупнейший орочий [b]WAAAGH![/b] под предводительством не менее легендарного ВАИВОДЫ Газгкулла Маг Урук Трака, пророка Горка и Морка! [/i]

В компании из 32 миссий (по факту – 29, остальные 3 – плавающие, в зависимости от выбора игрока) нам уготована роль обычного командира, недавно прошедшего подготовку и абсолютно не готового к такому кипишу. Впрочем, не готов был не только один он - верховный лорд Герман фон Штраб так же не был готов к атаке, а дальнейшие его действия сильно усугубили оборону всей планеты. И лишь наши последующие действия, при поддержке Стального легиона и трех орденов космодесантников смогут спасти этот мир от зеленой волны.
[b]Сюжет[/b] хоть и сделан канонично, но откровениями или лихими поворотами не балует. По сути, все повествование сюжета – это диалоговые вставки, которыми «слеплены» паузы между сценариями.

Причина, почему эта игра прошла мимо многих, даже заядлых «ваховчан» – думаю, достаточно проста. Слишком уж у неё непримечательная оказалась [b]обертка[/b]. Тут свою лепту вносит и устаревшая графика, которая в 2014 году выглядела как цивилизация 4, выпущенная в далеком 2006 году. Тут и присутствует излишне перенасыщенный «мыльный» интерфейс, совсем не дружелюбный для глаза новичка. А простейшие анимации перемещения и боя забивают последний гвоздь в крышку оберточного гроба.

Но если смириться с общей «серостью» графики (мы же с вами гвардцейцы, в конце то концов), то [b]геймплейно[/b] игре есть что предложить. Но, как и в любой игре, перед её началом необходимо выбрать уровень сложности, коих тут аж пять видов: [b]легкий, нормальный, сложный, трудный и очень трудный[/b]. Не имея адекватного описания их различий, пришлось «яндексить» этот момент и со слов разработчика – меняется лишь кол-во получаемых ресурсов для покупки или прокачки своих отрядов и кол-во получаемого опыта отрядами. Грубо говоря, [u]чем выше сложность – тем душнее[/u].
Вся же [b]суть игры[/b] – проходить вышеупомянутые сценарии, выполняя определенное задание (наступление, оборона чего-либо и так далее), которое к тому же – может круто поменяться буквально посередине сценария! Каждый ход напоминает игру в шахматы – стараемся расставить по клеткам, называемыми [u]«гексами»[/u], свои войска так, чтобы и вражин побольше забрать, и своих работяг не потерять. Ведь каждая потеря здесь достаточно критичная – [u]очки ревизии[/u], необходимые для прокачки и покупки отрядов совсем не резиновые. К тому же, ваши войска из сценария в сценарий переходят в том виде, в котором вы закончили последний сценарий, лишь автоматически пополняя численность (при наличии ресурса). Потерять всю армию в первом же замесе будет означать конечную для вас, как и прийти к последним миссиям с не прокачанными отрядами.
Добавьте к этому [u]ограничение сценария на ходы[/u] и кол-во вражеских бойзов, обычно в пятикратно превышающих численность ваших войск – думать здесь приходится очень много, как и «сейфлоадить».

Но если немного притереться, пройдя обучающие миссии и пару-тройку сценариев – к [b]ИИ[/b] привыкаешь и начинаешь ловить его на его же логике, которая оказывается такой же простейшей, как и интеллект орков (так сказать, канон соблюден). ИИ всегда старается всыпать либо отряду поддержки, либо тому, кому нанесет больше урона, чем выхватит сам. Стоит лишь чуть-чуть поманить бойзов отрядом новобранцев, что они слетаются на него, как комиссары на ересь. И тут же прячем их за мощную броню танков, которую пехота пробить не может – и отряды орков мгновенно превращаются в глубокие воронки.

К слову, [b]разнообразие отрядов[/b] здесь воистину большое – [u]куча пехоты, техники, шагателей, танков – обычных и тяжелых, артиллерия, самолеты и даже… титаны[/u]! Но, многие из отрядов – бесполезны. Большая часть пехоты – обычный орочий корм, шагатели – обычные разведчики, техника практически одинаковая по статам, из обилия модификаций танков играбельных – 1/3.
Но все же, из-за обилия различных [b]ландшафтных особенностей[/b] (холмы, здания, развалины, реки, etc) не получится играть лишь одними «имбами», а приходится собирать максимально гибкий отряд, чтобы быть «и швецом, и жнецом, и вообще… лютым п*здецом!»

Конечно же, без [b]багов[/b] здесь тоже не обошлось. Если отбросить мелкие и некритичные, как например, [u]периодически ломающаяся заставка в диалогах после сценария[/u], то два из них филейную часть могут подкоптить:
• При частых «сейвлоудах» пропадает «туман войны». Формально, он присутствует, пропадает лишь его тематическое затемнение. Из-за чего невозможно понять, насколько вперед видят наши отряды. Серьёзно мешает просчитывать ходы.
• Некорректное отображение цифр нанесения/получения урона. Когда при цифрах 0 получаемого урона и 5 нанесенного мой отряд огребает 10-ку в лицо и благополучно вайпается – мое же лицо в этот момент в представлении не нуждается. По этой причине происходит большая часть «сейвлоудов».

Про [b]оптимизацию[/b] и говорить даже нечего – такая технически простая игра запустится даже на контроллере клавиатуры. Единственный минус, который часто раздражает – при ходе орков в тумане войны – игра перемещает их вручную так же, как и делала бы это при открытой карте, из-за чего ход при наличии огромного кол-ва отрядов бойзов может сильно растянуться.

[b][i]В целом, достаточно неплохая стратегия со своей изюминкой. Для новичков может показаться действительно сложной – что запутанный интерфейс с кучей характеристик отрядов может сбить с толку, как и постоянная нехватка ресурсов вкупе с изнемождающими атаками орков. Но стоит лишь пройти информативное обучение и малость разобраться – как орочья «зеленая волна» плавно начнет превращаться в зеленое кладбище. Зарубы же здесь очень потные для мозга, приходится действительно включать черепушку, чтобы не остаться у разбитого Леман Русса. К покупке бы рекомендовал, только хера лысого её теперь купишь – игру сняли с продажи в связи с истекшей лицензией. Тем не менее, в зеленом лаунчере она всегда в наличии... либо у барыг, за баснословный прайс. [/i][/b]

This game is shockingly better than half of all 40k games and probably has a fraction of the budget behind it. The controls are stupidly simple, and it comes with a buttload of campaigns. All its downsides seem to stem from it being abandoned. Minor bugs exist but can be circumvented with a quick save and load. Vehicle combat could be better, especially with the troop transport mechanic, and it only features a small portion of races and factions in the 40k universe for lore purposes.

This was a gem, and if they made an old world version I feel like I would have enjoyed it just as much.

This is a really great turn-based strategy game that has everything we could want: great artillery, powerful titans, a huge selection of tanks and some very effective shock troops that we will need to capture objectives
We of course also have all the insanity and fanaticism in our superiors we will ever need to defend the Imperium

We can right-click on all units and read a lot about them which makes choosing between the many variants a lot easier
If you feel like it you can savescum in this game to your heart's content

There are several campaigns and the ones where we get to use titans are imo the best

My one complaint is that we as usual only get to play the Imperium and Orks and I guess I'll never get to control the legendary Eldar titans. A minor grudge and I had fun playing this

I was on the fence with this game for a long time. The main thing holding me back was the price. Holy pricey for a game with low production value batman! I read many reviews here and other places, browsed the Slitherine forums for ahwile, and decided to bite and fork over 50 hard earned dollars. Of course 4 days later it goes on sale 50% off! Needless to say, "steam" is coming out of my ears right now...but I digress.

The game is fantastic. Not quite as deep as "Panzer Corps", but deep enough to make you think about what you're doing. Do I pick up another support unit for my core force or another armor division? Do I deploy in one giant wedge formation or split my force into two battlegroups? Do I upgrade my artillery units to Deathstrike missiles for maximum effect against armor or do I keep my Earthshakers for better versatility? Do I use a turn to rest and refit my elite units or do I press on? Every mission had me asking myself these questions...the first time I played them of course.

The game has ZERO replay value; once you know how the scenarios will unfold almost all these questions will be answered for you. For this reason alone it's very hard for me to recommend the game at full price. If you're a big fan of 40k and wargames I can say this is a winner, but it's way, way, WAY overpriced. Wait for a sale, or get more value for your dollar and pick up another wargame.

I will close by saying that after 100+ hours of play I can say that most (but certainly not all) of the negative reviews I have read are from people who thought this was 40k tabletop on PC and are disappointed to find out that it's not, or are from people who are not wargamers and somehow ended up buying this. It's a solid wargame with no replay value and a way too hefty pricetag. If $50 is chump-change to you, then I recommend this to any wargamer.

One thing i forgot to mention...the "manual" is garbage. How can you not explain, or for that matter even mention "Zones of Control". This is an absolutely critical mechanic to understand if you want to succceed and enjoy a game like this on all but the easiest difficulty. If you're not well versed in wargames and are thinking of picking this up I strongly suggest you look up ZOC on forums or whatever. You will get alot more out of the game, trust me.

DLC можно не брать ибо не так много миссий они добавляют, думаю хватит боев в сценарии и основной компании чтоб погрузится в эту игру.
Стоимость игры на прощальной распродаже как по мне завышена в раза 2, ей красная цена 70р, но так как она пропадет из стима 19 числа можно взять и за 130р.

При всей моей любви к доброй планете Армагеддон и всем самым крутым цифровым варгеймам из начала 90-ых... Но нельзя же ограничиваться при создании игры банальной заменой спрайтов юнитов на поле боя и в сюжетных перебивках между миссиями... Почему тогда было не создать просто кастомный сценарий для какого-нибудь Battle for Wesnoth, если здесь нет ни одной механики или авторской концепции, какую нельзя было бы реализовать на любом уже существующем движке, который заранее обладает куда большим коммьюнити и фанбазой?

Во событие было бы: официально санкционированный мод от Games Workshop чисто для фанатов тактического мочилова и для души!

본편을 해보고 dlc를 사려고 했는데
그 시절에는 어땟는지 기억도 안나지만
10년도 더 된 게임이라 그런지 대전략류 게임중 구작 스타일인 게임
파나티칼에서 할인 중인데 dlc팩은 이미 완판되서 구할 수가 없음
그렇다고 지금 할인하는 저 dlc들을 돈주고 살만한가?
아니 애초에 이 게임이 살만한 게임이냐 하면

Warhammer Armageddon didn't meet my expectations.

I was expecting Warhammer Armageddon to be Age of Empires Warhammer 40k Edition.

In reality Warhammer Armageddon is a Turn Based Tactics game.

The DLCS are not worth it.

[H1] 40kユニバースの正統派ストラテジー [/H1]

雑に説明するならば、Warhammer 40kのスキンをのっけた『Panzer General』。
要するに、ユニット生産要素のあるターン制ストラテジーである。

40kが何のことやら分からん、という人は今さら少ないと思うが、遥かな未来でローマ帝国をこじらせたような管理社会に発展した人類と、宇宙オークがショバをかけて戦う話である･･･という理解で当面は十分であろう。

本作ではヘクスマップを採用しており、40kユニバースの似たようなゲームである『Sanctus Reach』あたりと比較しても、古き良きストラテジー感が強い。

キャンペーンは制限ターン数でマップ内の拠点を制圧するか、敵を排除すればクリアとなり、次のマップに進むことができる仕組み。
ユニットの成長要素と引き継ぎ要素があり、生き残ったユニットは、そのまま次のマップで使用することができる。

ユニットは歩兵に戦車、砲兵に航空ユニットとよくある構成だが、SFテーマだけあって巨大ロボ（タイタン）が出てくるのが特徴だろうか。
ゲーム内時間の経過と共に各カテゴリのユニットの種類が追加されていき、アップグレードも可能となる。

主人公は惑星アルマゲドンの防衛軍指揮官という立場のため、前半は「アストラ・ミリタルム」のユニットで部隊を編成し、エリート部隊である「スペースマリーン」が救援に来てからは、これらのユニットを使うこととなる。

ユニットはバリエーションが豊富で、射程や威力の異なる武装を細かく選択できるのはいいのだが、使えるユニットは限られている。
基本的には高コストなものほど強く、あとは囮として使う最低コストの歩兵がいくつかあれば良い程度。
低コストな「アストラ・ミリタルム」の装甲車などは、ゲーム後半においてカテゴリごと死んでしまう印象がある。

航空機なども制圧力が弱いわりに、なぜか地形のギャップを越えられない特性があり、キラーユニットである対空砲もろとも空気に近い。

それでもシステムの素性の良さもあってストラテジーとしては楽しく遊べるし、40kのフレーバーも十分に感じられて良かった。

1：按住ctrl+Alt+shift+c进入蜥蜴社祖传控制台界面，作弊码统一为“要修改的数值+数字形式”详情请自己摸索
2：所有单位和武器数据均可在Warhammer 40000 Armageddon\data中的unittypes和weapons两个文件中找到和修改，可适当使用。
3：接下来讲本作的伤害机制，比较复杂但总体与桌游相似，最重要的数值有三个：攻击次数，命中概率和造伤成功率。
部队数量乘武器模组得攻击次数，在中前期对抗轻装甲和步兵单位时速射单位会更加有效。
部队基础射击准确率加经验加成减去低士气减成和目标单位闪避率得命中概率，所以可以增加士气的指挥单位和提供大量闪避加成的地形非常重要。绝大多数武器命中率一致，命中率更多由部队本身数值影响。
攻击命中后，武器攻击强度减去扣除了百分比减伤的目标护甲强度再加上百分之50即为造伤成功率，若此数值小于0则不可能打出伤害，若大于100则有会进行二次造伤，高出的部分为打出第二点伤害的概率。本作中没有武器伤害数值判定机制，所以在都命中和造伤成功的情况下一发死亡直击导弹的杀伤效果最多也就相当于一发重爆弹的两倍。需要注意的是每一次命中和造伤都是单独计算，所以伤害量与预测间发生浮动非常正常，可以利用这点反复SL（重投）。
假设命令我方一只满士气10兵力6级的部队攻击城区5级兽人，基础命中80，经验6级加30命中，距离两格减20命中，兽人5级经验加成闪避率加10，地形加成闪避率30。得出武器总命中率为（80+30-20）-（10+30）得百分之50。
第一武器模组开火，武器攻击次数3，总攻击次数为3x10得30，武器攻击强度100，无视百分之20护甲，兽人单位护甲强度为40，地形增益10。得出造伤成功率为100-（40+10）x（100%-20%）+50得110，即第一武器模组伤害期望值为30x50%x110%得16.5
第二武器模组开火，攻击次数4，总攻击次数为了4x10得40，攻击强度40，无视百分之0护甲，造伤成功率为40-（40+10）x（100%）+50得40，即第二武器模组伤害期望值为30x50%x40%得6，所有有效射击的武器模组伤害相加即为总伤害值。

It's a simple wargame, but so far the main campaign has been fun for the first couple missions, and there's a lot of content.

One issue is that the game has almost no tooltips and the manual is both "outdated" and pretty thin in mechanics in general (seems like some mechanics were changed during development and no one bothered to fix the manual).

10多年前的游戏可玩性依然不错
引擎应该是装甲元帅的，但2、3格的火力多如牛毛，还是有很大体验不同
套皮游戏做的好也是很好玩。
钢铁兵团强势的让人不敢相信，各种炮火令人发指，玩过战争黎明对帝国军的弱势形成印象后，这一版会很不习惯，这还是宇宙异端随意欺凌呼叫星际战士支持的帝国军吗？

a very fun very deep TBS with a shockingly wide variety of troops to field

very veyr basic art wise.

its almost liek a traditional roguelike in that the units r less animated sprites or 3D models and more glyphs with simple effects and sounds added to show things happening to/with them.

a lot of fun for TBS and 40k fans though

Pretty simple turnbased game similar to Panzer corps but with a Warhammer 40K skin. It's fun enough, I wouldn't say it's super immersive and there's unfortunately no satisfying explosions when enemies die but there's a TON of units to use, and the game encourages you to use a mix of units. Scenarios aren't bad but they're nothing to write home either, very forgettable. There are dialogue choices and I have no idea if it effects anything I think you can choose certain scenarios to do over others.
The sound effects are pretty cool, there's also range for each weapons and a single unit can have multiple weapons and there is some depth to combat where certain terrain has cover, certain units have assault trait to ignore cover at close range, some weapons ignore armor % some are better against unarmored targets etc. it's all very intuitive.

Overall I'd give it a 6.5/10 pick it up if you're starving for 40K content or a massive fan but it can definitely be overlooked. It's still a decent enough turn based strategy game

全体的に面白いゲームなのですが、ユニット間のバランスが全く取れておらず、特にスティールレギオンの戦車に関してはレマン・ラス系列に限定すると実際に有用なものが片手で数える程しかありません。
また、雪だるま式に数を増やしてゆくユニット(私の場合は中盤くらいには最大所持数に達する)を間引く為とあるマップで敢えてプレイヤーを非常に困難な状況に追い込み(シナリオとしてはつじつまが合ってはいる)、多くのユニットを喪失した様なタイミングで突如天からスペースマリーンの増援が！という酷く雑な解決手段を採られた上にスティールレギオン一本でいきたかったのにアーマーもクソダサく単なる大隊長のプレイヤーが何故か分遣されたスペースマリーンを指揮下に加えるという良く分からない展開に「ああなる程プレイヤーのユニットがあんなに低性能だったのはそういう理由か」としらけさせられた。
はっきり言うとお勧めできないけどSlitherineの掲示板にあるコミュニティMODをインストールすれば(未だ利用可能かは不明)ユニットバランスは見違える程マシになります。もうアレなしじゃダメです

Panzercorps in space. If you like the panzer general genre, you can't really go wrong with this game, although it does have a far more elaborate story line behind it. You can take or leave the story line though, in the end you get what you might expect from this type of game. I've played it off-line a fair bit, so my actual hours aren't really showing up. Would have been interesting to have some of the other races to fight against and not just the Orks.

finally got this running on my mac with Whisky. I only finished about half the game before my machine was not longer compatible (old Mac) but I'm enjoying it a lot. If you're a 40k fan and like older hex and turn based tactical games this one has a lot to love. They also made an another game which allows you to play from the Ork POV. but games are cheap but have hours of entertainment.

Давным-давно я играл в классику под названием Final Liberation. Это была чудесная стратежка про освобождение Армагеддона от орков, где уровень битвы возрастал от уютных и мирных перестрелок пехоты до сражения титанов.
Нынешний Армагеддон - это больше Panzer General, с хексами и одним уровнем бытия, но более продуманный и занятный: один выстрел не может убить больше одного юнита. Т.е. крутой истребитель танков может разобрать на запчасти одна пачка гретчинов. Плюс к этому представлен широкий выбор техники и вооружения, разные комбинации оружия и дистанций атаки, а ИГ выглядит как нормальная ИГ, а не источник трупных батончиков, как пишут многие аффтары: артиллерия, танки, и немного пехоты, для тех, кто всё-таки добежал.

It's just not very good. There's a lot of bugs and glitches and it's just a hex-based RNG combat game. The combat is very barebones with little counterplay, and it's usually about who does the most damage. Only buy this if you like 40k, and even then wait for a sale. If you're a 40k fan seeing the battle for Armageddon represented like this is at least pretty neat.

Hice muy larga mi anterior reseña, voy a ser breve. Es un juego hecho con cariño y aunque sus graficos se vean kk y la interfaz sea peor (peor peor el menu jaja). Es igual mente un juegazo y una grata sorpresa.

El juego: balance, gameplay y eso fue hecho por los mismos que hicieron Panzer Corps así que calidad asegurada. Ahí ni se preocupen

El contenido base es baaaaaastante honestamente y se nota que tanto las misiones, IA (de las mejores a nivel máximo que recuerdo en mi vida) y las como 100 tipos de unidades que tiene cada facción fueron hechas con cabeza y mimo, solo les falto presupuesto en esos días para mejores gráficos.

Pero que en las charlas previas que dan contexto a la historia las tradujeran al español. Muchas empresas no traducen al español y si lo hacen es google translate o alguien que aprendió en duolingo. Aquí incluso respetaron como hablan los Orkoz con Z y K por todos lados. Mis respetos

Si les gustan los de estrategias o warhammer (y mas si saben de la historia de armagedon, Gazkull y Yarrick) les va a gustar este juego. Aunque no es para cualquiera honestamente y PARA MI lo mejor es jugarlo al maximo aunque fuera del reto no hay una recompensa

Really good turn based strategy game. Wish there was also economy and base building. The only real negative is the lack of campagne progression, it's one mission after another without the ability to go back to play one specifically. I also scratch my head at the sight of light armed infantery destroying my tanks.

Also be aware of the lack basic QOL like achievements and cloud support.
