An enjoyable metroidvania, bosses are pretty fun.

I like this game but the fact that you can only use keyboard with a very limited bind gives me a a handicap in playing.
I really hate it when dev don't use the full capacity of what a mouse and keyboard does. If you put games on PC its a no brainer to put MKB support no argument.
A little clunky in some respects, but a charming title on the whole with a nice aesthetic.

Overall a pretty interesting game. Has some serious flaws like unfair difficulty spikes and lacking production in certain areas, but underneath all of that is an enjoyable game if you can tolerate the difficulty.

Iritating game. Bad controls - sword hit with LB? Pistol shot with RB + LB? Enemies knockbacks that push you into hole and instakill you. Game is hard because of toxic game mechanics. Killing enemies is boring.
EDIT:
I changed sword attack from LB to X and it is playable now. Weapons have different range, combos, special effects. Items we encounter can be hidden behind walls or some hard to reach places. Bossess fights are cool later in the game. Thats why i change my opinion. Needed to play it more and tried to get into this several times.
I am sorry, but too many things about this game are just aweful.
The list of stuff i encountered when briefly testing it out:
- It does not have any sound options.
- It does not have proper fullsreen, and will leave most of your screen black to present itself on a tiny rectangle in the middle (and no, it's not a 4k-screen).
- The game crashes when i accidently press any key or button that does not have a functionality within the game.
- You can only access the options from the menu, not ingame.
- You can only access your inventory when at a savepoint. Even to just take a look.
- Items descriptions in your inventory do not tell you anything useful but a tiny bit of generic lore instead.

- Walking animations are absolutely aweful and do not fit the walking speed.
- Enemies often walk in place and are intangible while doing so.
- The combat system is aweful (you find out when fighting the first boss: You can not dodge anything neither by jumping, nor movement nor dash. But facetanking works just fine!)
... and many more to come, i will never encounter, since i put it back into the corner where it came from.
Please mind, that i usually have a huge tolerance for... questionable... games, but this one is not only borderline unplayable, but also not worth playing, sadly. Even if the game might look nice in some screenshots or split-second video-material, you will find that it is not like that in reality.

The controls are a bit clunky, and it's hard to use your sub weapon as you have to hit UP + Attack to do so. It would have been nice if they had their own button. There's no menu, and you can't swap weapons and equipment on the fly, but ONLY at save points. Cool concept, but very bad execution. I got it on sale, so it was an OK price, but man, the game is NOT forgiving.
I'd say only get on sale, or if you're a fan of punishing gameplay. I've hit a wall with the Knight Sarath boss, and doubt I'll ever finish.
엔딩보고 DLC까지 하면서 느낀점
장점: 보스 완성도가 높은 편이다. 개인적으로 잔상 패턴은 한 두명만 넣지 남용한게 아닌가 싶은데 나머지는 컨셉과 잘 어우려졌다고 생각한다. 맵 컨셉도 확실하고 직진으로 나아가도 닼소처럼 길 잃을 걱정 없어서 편했다.
단점: 맵 컨셉은 좋은데 몹 배치가 일반도 좋진 않았지만 하드에서는 그냥 '죽지 않을 만큼만 우겨놨다'고 할 정도로 잡몹이 짜증났다. 특히 사냥꾼 상놈의색히 너프좀

dlc 나오기를 기대했지만 정작 나오고 다시하려니 감을 잃어서 맞기만 했다. 처음부터 합쳐서 나왔더라면 하드까지 쭉 플레이할 수 있었을텐데,,, 아쉽다
Jusqu'à présent , j'appréciai le jeu mais là il m'a fait totalement ragequit.
Le jeu est en fait un metroidvania dans lequel on prend des level up en battant des ennemis.
Mais le principe du level up , c'est d'etre plus robuste et puissant.
Alors les boss qui tuent en deux ou trois coups alors qu'on est super bien équipé , faut arrêter cette connerie.
Je pense que je suis tout proche de la fin , je suis arrivé à la prêtresse que l'on affronte en ouvrant la porte de clinic et qui a la dernière relique.
Mais ses attaques sont beaucoup trop devastatrice surtout celle au sol qui one shot direct , ce qui m'a fait completement ragequit.
Bref je deconseille ce jeu.

neben salt and sanctuary würd ich void memory als ds game bezeichnen
es gibt eine geheime jump'n run option im game, um an nahezu allen gegnern leicht vorbeizukommen
diese zu meistern ist aber zumindest über tastatur verdammt schwer
die festgelegten controls sind furchtbar, man kann sie aber leicht selbst problemlos festlegen
das einzig wirklich kritische was man hier sehen könnte wär der schwierigkeitsgrad verbunden mit der hitbox und/oder einfach den gegebenen möglichkeiten irgendwie zu überleben, ebenso reagiert das game nicht im selben tempo wenn man mehrfach nacheinander "ausweichen" drückt, d. h. um effektiv kein dmg zu erhalten muss man sehr gut getimed die ausweichtaste drücken
der schwierigkeitsgrad erinnert hier an ds2+dlcs
viel musik gibts hier auch nicht wie in ds games üblich; stört aber nicht das feeling, und boss musik gibts immer
das design insgesamt is ne mischung aus ds1 und ds3; einige bosse erinnern an eine schwerere version eines ds3 bosses
animation hat auch gute qualität

About half an hour in and I really want to play this game but the controls are TERRIBLE. No matter which controller I try to use or which computer I try to play on, I cannot get a controller to work. So I'm forced to use the keyboard and I cannot stand it. I really wanted to play this, I bought it a while back but just hadn't had time to dig in so I can't refund it anymore but damn I hate the controls.

스팀에서 복합적을 받은 게임은 다 이유가 있다 라고 이야기들 하듯, 문제투성이인 게임이다.
기본적으로 갖추어야할 편의 시스템의 부재와, 불친절한 게임 디자인. 악의적인 적들의 배치.
존재하는지조차 의문인 스토리라인과 부족한 액션성은 이 게임이 복합적 평가를 받게되는 이유를 제공했다.
인디게임이라고, 저예산 게임이라고 하여 평가를 후하게 줄 생각은 없다.
그래픽이 타 게임보다 뒤떨어진다고 욕하기 보단, 게임이 미흡하고 밋밋하니 평가를 박하게 줄 수 밖에 없었다.
외부적으로 못난이라 한들 무슨 문제가 있겠는가, 게임의 내부만 멀쩡하다면 아무런 문제가 없는데.

지루하기 짝이 없는 필드 산책의 피로감에서 그나마 우리를 즐겁게 만들어 줄 수 있는 요소중 하나.
무려 게임 소개문에 자랑스럽게 이야기 하고 있다.
"[i]Void Memory(보이드 메모리)는 보스 전투 중심의 횡스크롤 2D 액션 플랫포머 게임입니다.[/i]"
무려 보스가 14종이나 되기 때문에 다채로운 스타일의 보스를 상대하는 재미를 느껴볼 수 있다.
물론 보스의 밸런스가 들쭉날쭉하기 때문에 몇몇 보스에서는 어렵다! 라고 느끼기보단 어거지로 상냥한 패턴이 나오길 운에 기대야 한다거나, 특정 조합을 무조건 강요하는 것들도 존재하기 때문에 마냥 보스전 만큼은 아주 잘 만든 게임이라곤 말할 수 없겠다.
그럼에도 불구하고 14종의 다채로운 보스는 매력적인 부분이다.

보이드 메모리의 가장 큰 장점중 하나인 복장 시스템이 가장 인상깊었다.
복장이 바뀜에 따라 기본적인 모션은 물론, 목소리 또한 달라질 수 있다는 점, 적정 수준 이상은 퀄리티를 보장해 주기에
수집 요소와 덕질 요소를 잡아내는것에 성공한 부분.
원하는 모습을 골라잡아 플레이 할 수 있다는 장점은 게임에 더욱 집중할 수 있게 해주었다.

스테이지를 돌아다니는 재미가 1도 존재하지 않는다.
꼽는다면 오로지 아이템을 먹는 재미 말고는 단 하나도 존재하지 못한다.
이 되다만듯한 게임은 일부러 그러는 것인지 카메라 이동같은 기능조차 존재하지 않아서, 강제로 낙사를 경험하지 않고서야 무언갈 찾아낼 수 없다.
그렇다고 해서 맵을 볼 수 있게 지도라도 마련해 주었는가? 전혀. 지도는 존재조차 하지 않는다.
미지의 공간을 탐험하기 위해, 누가봐도 죽게 생긴 구멍에 자살특공대라도 된것마냥 쏙쏙 들어가서 죽어봐야 안다.
이런 강제적인 죽음이 게임에서 한두번 나오는 정도라면 하하 웃고 넘기겠지만, 그게 유일한 방법이 되어 온갖 구멍에 들어가봐야 한다면 그 누구도 즐겁게 생각하지 않을것이다. 되려 스트레스 적인 요소에 가까울것이라고 본다.
물론, 이러한 요소가 있음에도 필드를 돌아다니는 재미는 있을 수 있었을것이다.
구덩이에 빠져 죽는게 정상적인 루트가 아니고서야 " 저런건 귀찮으니 건너뛸래 " 해도 상관없을것이다.
구덩이속에 내 시체가 있을지 보물이 있을지 확인하는건 플레이어의 몫이니까.
그럼 왜 이 게임의 필드는 이토록 재미가 없을까?
이유는 간단하게 찾아볼 수 있다. 게임이 내세우고 있는 "액션" , 그리고 " 메트로배니아 " 의 미흡함.
최고로 안맞는 " 메트로배니아 " 와 " 소울류 " 의 콜라보레이션이 그 문제가 된다.
무려 이 게임이 내세우고 있는 메트로배니아+소울류가 가장 큰 단점을 보여주는 꼴이 되었을줄이야!
그럼 왜 이것들이 문제인지 이야기해보자.
우선, 캐슬바니아 게임에는 기력 시스템이 따로 존재하지 않는다.
왜 그런것인지는 직접 해보면 알 수 있다.
탁월한 액션성을 강조하고 빠릿빠릿한 움직임을 가진 캐슬바니아는 기력이라는 움직임의 한계를 부여하지 않은것이다.
물론 캐슬바니아도 옛 게임으로 가면 굼벵이같이 움직이긴 하지만, 대부분의 캐슬바니아를 목표로한 게임들은
대표작중 하나인 월하의 야상곡에 굉장히 많은 영향을 받곤 한다.
빠릿한 움직임과 액션성을 이용하여 전투에서의 피로감을 덜어주고, 맵을 탐험하는것에 재미를 붙여줄 수 있다.
물론 그에 따라 보스전 또한 더욱 박진감이 넘친다는 장점 또한 갖추고 있다.
이 게임을 보아라! 기력에 숨이 벅차올라 한대 두대 때리고 도망가기 바쁘고, 쥐만한 적을 때리기 위해 허리를 굽히는 것 조차 할 수 없다. 앉기도 슬라이딩도 불가능한 이 게임은 보스전을 제외하곤 하루종일 뚜벅이마냥 걸어다니기 바쁘며 스테이지에서 마땅한 퍼즐 기믹조차 존재하지 않으니 필드에서 오는 재미를 잡아내지 못했다.
앉기가 있으면 앉아야만 피할 수 있는 공격을 만들어낼 수 있고, 슬라이딩을 만들면 슬라이딩을 이용하여 지나갈 수 있는 통로와 밑에 있는 적을 공격하는것도 가능해진다.
사소한 액션의 포인트가 게임을 다채롭게 할 수 있다. 이것이 곧 필드에서의 재미를 붙여줄 수 있는 포인트가 될 수 있었다.
그럼에도 불구하고 이 게임은 그러한 액션 요소를 중요하게 생각하지 않고 쉽게 넘기고야 말았다.
결국 이 액션을 무시한 결과 탄생한건 지루하기 짝이 없는 스테이지 산책이 남아버렸으며, 퍼즐요소를 넣을 만한게 없으니
당연하게 따라오는 제야의 고수 같은 적들이 필드에 드문드문 들어차고, 함정으로 플레이어를 골탕먹이는것만이 남아버리고 말았다.
누가 이런 필드를 탐험하고 싶겠는가?
그래픽이 타 게임에 비해 낮더라도, 게임성이 받쳐준다면 언제라도 칭찬을 받아낼 수 있다.
이 게임은 그래픽 문제보다 게임 자체의 문제가 심각한 편이다.
여기서 그쳤다면 얼마나 좋았을까. 이 게임은 뇌절에 도가 튼 게임이다.
하드모드에 들어서고나선 그렇게나 재미없던 필드에 짜증만 불러일으킬 요소만 왕창 때려박아놨는데, 해골 창병이 벽 역할을 할 수 있게되어 플레이어를 막도록 배치해 놓은건 물론
무수히 많은 후반부 몹, 해골 몹 들이 스테이지에 빼곡히 들어차고야 만다.
우리 개발자는 게임을 헷갈린건 아닐까?
탁월한 액션성을 보여주는 메트로바니아에 나올법한 이 무쌍적인 포인트를
기력 탓에 몇대 때리고나면 숨고르기 바쁜 이 게임에 무쌍적인 요소를 집어넣어 주셨다.
가뜩이나 재미없는 필드전투를 피하고 싶어도, 해골 창병에게 충돌포인트가 생겨버려
직접 창병 위로 넘어가는게 아닌이상 창병을 잡고 가지 않으면 넘어가는게 불가능하다.
주위엔 무수히 많은 몬스터와 원거리 견제가 빼곡하게 들어차있으니
지루하기 짝이없는 스테이지 구간을 한땀한땀 체험하며 지나가야만 한다.
보통 이런건 반대가 아닌가?
타 게임에선 2회차의 피로감을 덜어주기 위해 오히려 스테이지를 쉽게 건널 수 있는 방법을 제시하거나, 스테이지를 쉽게 넘어갈 수 있는 2회차만의 지름길을 이용할 수 있게 해준다.
이 게임은 1회차때 스피드런에 특화되어 있으며, 이미 다 해본 스테이지를 2회차에 들어서서 또 악의적이고 거지같은 함정과 몹 배치에 고통받아야 한다.
개발자는 이 게임이 왜 하드모드 이후, 클리어률이 낮은지에 대해 잘 생각해 보아야 한다.
아니면 이런걸 의도한것일까?
어느쪽이든 하드모드 라는 것이 마냥 " 플레이어를 화나게 만드는 난이도 " 라고 생각하고 대충 만들어낸것이 분명하다.
게임 개발자의 악의적이고 같잖은 디자인은 플레이어로부터 부정적인 감정만 일으키게 만들고야 만것이다.
& 보스전투 &
보스전투를 장점으로 칭찬하였지만 무지막지한 단점을 가릴 순 없었다.
다채로운 보스도 인상적이고 즐거울 수 있겠지만 1회차 까지일 뿐이다.
2회차에 들어서고 기존 보스들의 패턴이 강화되면서, 어거지 뇌절만 그득그득 들어차있기에 그때부턴 즐긴다기 보단 이악물고 깨는 게임의 수준까지 들어서고야 만다.
마냥 어렵고 운빨이 필요하고, 뭣같은 기분이 들게 만드는게 소울류 게임인건 아니다.
합리적이고, 무엇보다 플레이어가 대처할 수 있었음에도 한 대만 더의 욕심이나, 겁에 질려 마구 회피기를 난사하다 기력이 부족하여 죽는 등.
소울류가 목표로 하여 나아가야 하는 부분은, "언제라도 플레이어가 유동적으로 어려움에 대처할 수 있는 게임" 이 목표여야 한다.
그러나 이 게임은 그 부분을 능숙히 해결하지 못했다.
어거지 패턴들이 등장하고, 게임의 난이도가 들쑥날쑥하여 플레이어를 강제로 몰아세우며, 어쩔때는 내가 원하는 조합을 버려야하기도 하고, 무엇보다 운에 기대야 하는 부분들이 생겨나고야 말았다.
실제로 경험해본것으론, 보스가 행동을 마친걸 두 눈으로 직접 확인한 뒤, 이후 후딜레이가 있는것 또한 확인한 상태에서 공격을 했음에도 불구하고 보스는 아무런 예고도, 모션도 보여주지 않고 나에게 즉사 데미지 반격을 먹이곤 저 멀리있는 세이브 포인트 지점으로 걷어차버렸다.
이건 내가 욕심을 낸것도, 공격을 피할 수 있는것도 아닌 말 그대로 운에 기대는 상황에 가깝다.
언제, 어디서, 저 보스가 즉사기 모션을 사용하는지 조차 보이지 않는 " 후 딜레이 상황 " 에서 때릴지 말지 고민하는 이상한 상황이 벌어지고 만것이다.
이걸 정당한 패턴이라고 하기에는 너무 무리가 크지는 않은가?

위에 말한것의 연장선에 있는 단점이다.
메트로배니아와 소울류의 최악의 만남.
활발한 액션성과 둔중한 액션의 콜라보레이션.
단순하기 그지없는 것들만 그득그득 찼다고 하더라도 게임에 애정을 쏟았다면 지금보단 더 재미있는 게임이 나타났을 것이다.
개발자는 이 게임내 무기 이해도가 부족하다.
한손검은 기력을 적게 소모해요, 둔기는 적의 방어력을 깎아요, 어떤건 투사체를 지워요.
이런것 또한 있겠지만, 게임을 보다 재밌게 하고자 했다면, "둔기로 타격할때 효과적으로 제압 가능한 적" , " 특정 무기를 이용해야 얻어 낼 수 있는 퍼즐 요소나 숨겨진 기믹 " 등 또한 이용 할 수 있었을 것이다.
단순히 수치 놀음에 지나지 않고, 플레이어에게 눈앞에서 볼 수 있는, 확실하게 와 닿는 무언가가 필요했다.
게임내 가장 와닿는 포인트가 고작 거대한 무기를 쓰면 데미지를 많이 주고 기력이 많이 까인다 밖에 없으니
무기의 다양성에 " 굳이 필요해? " 라는 의문이 생기게 된다.
개발자는 무수히 많은 그 무기들을 플레이어가 사용해주길 바라지 않는것일까?
그저 딜레이적은 한손검 원툴 같은 "내가 쓰는것만 계속 쓸래" 같은 상황을 바라고 있던것인가?
하다 못해, 단검이나 총기류를 스스로 마우스를 이용하여 사격 가능하게 하는 버튼이라도 있었다면, 스테이지에 퍼즐 요소를 집어넣을 수 있었을텐데, 적의 약점을 노리고 쏘는 특수한 상황을 만들어 내는것도 가능했을 텐데.
어느쪽도 최선을 다하지 못하고 적당한 선만 유지하고야 말았으니, 게임이 밋밋하게 되버리고 말았다.
그리고.. 도대체 왜 이 게임에는 볼륨 조절 기능이 없는걸까?
가장 기본중의 기본인 볼륨 옵션은 ON이냐 OFF냐 이외엔 존재하지 않는다.
더럽게 소리만 요란한 마법 사운드는 음량 조절이 불가능하다.
직접 게임을 해보면서 이 사운드는 다른 사운드와 다르게 따로 노는것 같네? 싶은 요소를 확인하지 않은것인가?

게임내에서 스토리를 정확하게 알려주는걸 볼 수 없었다.
게임내 설정을 이해하고자 아이템에 적혀있는 설명란을 통해 내가 직접 가설을 세우고 스스로 납득해야 한다.
게임에서 처음 접하는건, 진부한 멘트인 " 세상을 어찌해주세요 "
이후 접하는 대사론 " 너도 실패할거야 " . " 여기까지 오다니 특이하구나 " . " 못넘겨줘, 죽어 " 같은 이야기 뿐이다.
게임에 결정적인 스토리는 단 하나도 존재하지 않았다. 내가 1 회차를 끝마치기 까지 단 한번도.
의미 불명의 대사만 남발하는 이 게임은 플레이어가 납득할 수 있도록 눈앞에 보여주기 보다 글 쪼가리와 상상에 맡기는걸 택했다.
하다못해 소설만큼 잘 풀어놨다면 모를까, 부족하기 짝이 없으며 게임내에서 눈길한번 가지 않을 정도로 흥미롭지 못하다.
이런 " 너희가 알아서 찾아내서 납득해 " 같은걸 예전에 본적이 있다 싶었는데,
다크소울 또한 내가 죽여낸 보스의 영혼을 가져다가 관음증 환자마냥 구경하고 가설을 세우고, 단서를 찾아 납득해야 했던게 있긴 했다.
그러나 이 게임과 다크소울의 큰 차이점이라면, 내가 스스로 찾아보고 싶어지는 동기를 부여 했는가와 게임 스스로의 재미적인 요소가 클것이다.
이 게임은 스토리를 찾아보게끔 어필하지 못했다.

본 게임의 개발자는 I Wanna Be The 부류의 게임으로 굉장한 인기를 얻어낸 개발자이다.
거기서 그쳤으면 좋았겠으나, 게임이 진행됨에 따라 이 I Wanna Be The 게임 특유의 냄새가 짙게 나타나기 시작한다.
위에서 이야기 했던 액션성의 부족, 메트로배니아와 소울류의 최악의 만남에 의해
게임이 단순해질 수 밖에 없었는데.
결국 게임의 후반부엔 불합리한 함정을 만들어내어 배치하거나, 플레이어가 숨을 쉴 틈도 없이 몰아세우는 보스 몹 등이 나타나기 시작하면서, 게임 자체가 I Wanna Be The의 느낌을 강하게 주고야 만다.
눈에 보이는 게임의 모습은 캐슬바니아, 게임의 시스템은 소울류, 그리고 게임의 디자인은 I Wanna Be The인 게임이다.
이러니 저러니 단점을 줄창 적어버렸지만, 만약 이 게임이 " 어떤 게임 " 이라고 한다면 단점은 죄다 사라지고 마는데,
웃기게도 이 게임이 "캐슬바니아" , "액션 게임" , " 다크소울과 블러드본의 영향을 받은 게임" 같은것이 아닌
어두운 분위기를 내는 " I Wanna Be The " 게임이라고 생각하면 정말 잘 만든 게임이 된다.
게임 소개 문구에 "Void Memory(보이드 메모리)는 보스 전투 중심의 횡스크롤 2D 액션 플랫포머 게임입니다." 라고 적지 않고
"Void Memory(보이드 메모리)는 I Wanna Be The의 연장선에 있는 게임입니다." 라고 하였다면 욕을 먹었을까?
무난하게 할만 했습니다만 게임내 미니맵의 부재와 2회차시 하드모드가 강제되는점이 아쉽습니다. (하드모드 샹들리에 맞고 한방에 죽는게 제일 이해가 안됩니다..)
i literally had 10 mins of trying to play this, sure it's not much, but what just made me only invest 10 mins into finding out how to fix it is simple.
1. VSync makes the game run like 3000% faster
2. Non Vsync makes the game slower for me (for some unknown reason)
3. Controller support? Your controller will just become the mouse.
4. no 16:9 resolution options??? what?
Honestly my biggest problem is no volume control. Who or what is a Danche? Clumsy / Careless gameplay. Game is hard--not challenging, as in posing fun to beat, but hard as in the game makes everything your character does difficult. Needs some major tweaking. And better translation.

좋은 게임입니다 처음 플레이할때 어려움에 힘들어했지만 그다음부터는 컨트롤과 무기 숙련도가 붙다 보니 게임 쉬워집니다. 플탐은 약간 짧은 편이지만 그래도 역시 재미있습니다. 그리고 게임의 적응하는 시간이 은근 짧기에 2~4시정도만 플레이해도 숙련도가 붙고 적응할 수 있습니다.

A rather weak metroidvania tbh, it has quite a few nice things about it, so I'll start with that.
The weapons available are quite varied, similarly there are different outfits, a customization like that in 2d is usually rather limited. The animations of your character for the weapons are also pretty ok. It's a bit difficult, which kept me going quite far in it. The locations are also a bit varied, for the very little price it's ok.
However that's probably where I'd stop with the positives, the game is overall functional, but it's ridden with issues. The difficulty mostly comes from gravity deaths, either wonky and unsatisfying platforming at places, or the worst offender - being pushed back by attacks and ending up falling to death. It happened a lot, and was almost exclusive death cause for me. Also at a few places some of the falls lead to secrets, and there was rarely way of telling which drops were to secrets, and which were fatal.
The music is barely there, the boss themes were not really interesting to me, the checkpoint theme was shooting up from complete silence every few screens, no smooth transition to it.
The running and jumping animations were rather stiff, but understandable with different clothes option. Enemy animations were also rather weird at times, not "lively" I could say.
The metroidvania aspect is almost completely nonexistent, besides being a big 2d map with platforming and backtracking. There is only one mobility perk, wich also uses the same slot as combat perks. So you sacrifice your usual setup to reach the odd inaccessible place sometime.
The bosses are very strangely balanced, most of them have the simple tactic of spamming, being the most optimal. The dodge can be terrible as you cannot control it's range, and a flurry of projectiles all bounce you around like stupid, which is all the more terrible since you can't dodge midair. So one of the worst ones is a skull that floats and spawns smaller ones as buzzsaws on the floor, and projectiles at the same time. So for the most of the fight, you get juggled unabled to do anything, and you really need to jump to reach the f**ker, and dodge only when landing.
I said to myself I'd force myself to complete the "DLC" update area, but the long road with no checkpoint really made me stop, I basically only have final boss left besides that. I might eventually complete it, but at this point I know exactly what this game has to offer. If you're starved for 2d platforming fights, on a pretty big map, then you may spend those few coins, but there is still a big risk you may come back unsatisfied by the experience.
I could also mention the story, but it's got some errors in translation I feel, you control some ghoul-like white haired phantom thingy, that's different from regular humans, some powerful creatures still remain in the world that need to be killed to bring some balance, also a few feral guys like you as optional enemies. I don't think I can confirm it's bad, I just had troubles following it.
Honestly one of the best vanias that wanted to do something similar is Blasphemous, which I can't recommend enough. I'd rather play that game over several times, than start NG+ of this :/
두 명이서 제작한 게임이란걸 감안하면 괜찮은 결과물이다.
다만 필요이상으로 플레이어의 혈압을 돋구는 레벨 디자인과 맵 디자인, 딜레이가 전혀 없고 괴상한 공격 판정을 가진 적들이 너무 많다. 난이도를 떠나서 플레이어를 그저 빡치게만 하는 요소가 많다.
또 이 게임의 출시 직후 가격이 17500원이었는데, 막말로 도대체 무슨 깡으로 그런 가격 책정을 한 건지 모르겠다.
제작자의 유명세에 기대 팬심으로 사게끔 하려는 의도였을까?
제작자의 블로그를 봤는데, 인디라고 사정 안두고 못만들었다고 욕쳐날아오니 말 그대로 꼬접을 하게 되는거 같다고 글을 써놨다.
'인디'라는 타이틀은 모든 게 용납되는 무적의 방패 같은게 아니다. 게임을 즐기는 플레이어로서 게임에 결함이 있다면 그것에 대해 비판을 하는 건 당연한 일이다.
제작자가 '인디'라는 타이틀을 무슨 고기 방패로 여기는 것 같은데 그러지 말았으면 한다.
Es un juego entretenido. Tiene variedad de enemigos y esta bastante bien. Lo peor que tiene son los controles en los menus... no es facil acostumbrarte a ellos. Lo primero que hice fué cambiar los controles. Algunas armas no estan muy bien implementadas... o bien a veces golpean desde un rango mas lejano que el de la propia animación y a veces, aunque golpeen al enemigo no causan daño. Pero en general y para el precio que pagué (menos de dos euros en oferta) está muy bien.
Je viens de terminer ce jeu, et il n'y a rien à faire: il est extrêmement déçevant.
Bon points: Musiques agréables, quelques boss et mini boss sympathiques à affronter. Une épée vraiment fun à utiliser ( que l'on obtient à la toute fin), et le contenu additionnel ( disponible lui aussi uniquement à la fin du jeu)
Et ça s'arrête là.
Mauvais points: La maniabilité est affreuse, les sauts et les esquives foirent une fois sur deux (le deuxième saut ne marche pas, ou le dodge est à demi coupé). Les hibtoxs sont appocalyptiques. Le fait de ne pouvoir changer d'équipement excepté au feu de camp est excessivement irritable. Les armes secondaires sont presque inutile. Les consommables: et bien il y en a certains d'intéressant, mais vous ne pouvez en équiper qu'un ! Donc vous restez jusqu'à la fin du jeu avec les deux seuls item de soins disponibles.
Pareil pour les trinkets: vous êtes obligé de garder tout le long du jeu celui qui augmente la récupération d'endurance, autrement c'est le 7eme palier de l'enfer.
Les monstres maintenant: les ennemis tireurs sont juste atrocement abusés avec leur auto aim et leur vision d'aigle. Encore mieux, si vous vous retrouvez touché en plein saut par l'une de ces *******, votre personnage effectuera comme un abruti un mouvement aléatoire qui conclura la plupart du temps par un game over dans le vide.
Pendant tout le jeu, j'ai eu l'impression que les concepteurs ont voulu mélanger Dark souls, Bloodborne et Castelvania dans une cocotte minute... et le mélange a foiré, ayant pour résultat Void Memory. A la limite ce jeu aurait été sympathique sur Game Boy ou sur une Nintendo Ds...mais alors là sur PC.

Bought this game on a whim and enjoyed the first half of the game. The end was however unfortunately not as fluid as the beginning of the game. The main problem this game suffers from is it's poor game mechanics.
Dodging is good but often enemies track you to an insane degree ensuring you'll always be hit no matter how good you think you are.
There is almost no visual indication that you are hitting an enemy. They just freeze up instead of having a stagger animation.
There is a wide variety of weapons but unfortunately they all deal about the same amount of damage with no single weapon being a direct upgrade if you don't count their attack animation with has wider reach or faster speed than others.
This made it very hard to calculate which weapon would be effective against different enemies. Since the tooltips for blunt weapons indicate they lower enemy armor, I assumed this would mean that my weapon would deal more damage overtime against single opponents or bosses since I would keep hitting them or maybe I would deal more damage against knights who are by all definition wearing armor.
This is not the case. It is just a part of the weapon lore. The game would very much benefit a detailed menu for damage or atleast the exact effects of accessories and items since the game does not tell you that very well.
Secondly the endgame is a slog and feels very, very rushed. Most of the bosses deal insane amounts of damage on a single hit and can one hit kill you leaving little room for error. That does not even account for the amount of pits in this game that emulate the classic Castlevania death.
The best part about the game and most unique is the fact that outfits change your entire character. While this has very little effect on actual moves as they remain the same, it does change a few animations which are unique for each outfit. I found myself using the starting Danache Summoner outfit due to it's tiptoe animation for jumping.
I also found the easter egg items in this game to be a nice addition.
I will sadly not replay the game due to it's sheer difficulty in the endgame. I can safely say that if the game was easier towards the end it would be okay in my book but I only got one ending and I won't go back since I don't have the patience to sit through one hit kills for any longer than I have to.

충분히 매력적인 게임이라고 생각합니다. 지금 2회차 도전 중.
17년도말에 이게임을 처음 알고 샀지만 군입대로 인해 접고, 까맣게 잊고 있었다가 전역 후 문득 생각나서 다시 플레이했습니다.
기본적으로 소울라이크라서 비슷한 부류의 게임에 익숙하지 않은 분들은 어렵다고 느낄 수 있습니다. 실제로 어렵기도 하고요.
하지만 처음 도전할 시 맵 구조, 몬스터 배치, 함정 배치, NPC 배치, 보스전 등 공략해가는 재미가 있습니다.
특히 건패리 액션은 구현하기 힘드셨을텐데 굉장히 고생하셨네요. 장비와 복장도 여러가지라 다양한 재미도 보여줍니다.
다만 아쉬운 점도 있기 마련입니다.
일단 행동간의 딜레이가 좀 큽니다. 이게 어느정도냐면, 보스를 상대할 때 한대 더 맞는다는 식으로 생각을 하셔야 멘탈관리가 될 정도로..물론 장비마다 딜레이는 다르지만 샷건과 대병기창을 예로 들면 굉장히 후딜이 길어서 보스를 상대할 땐 두 장비를 포기하게 됩니다. 너무 아쉬운 부분이네요.
1회차 엔딩을 보면 하드모드 진입이 가능하며, 몬스터의 배치와 보스들의 패턴이 전반적으로 바뀝니다.
하지만 몬스터 배치의 경우 이해가 안 가는부분이 많습니다. 1회차에서는 맵에 따라 등장하는 몬스터들이 여러가지여서 스토리를 추측해나가는 재미도 있었지만, 하드모드에서는 그냥 플레이어를 어렵게 할려고 몬스터를 때려박은 느낌이 강하더군요.
보스의 경우도 마찬가지 입니다. 패턴이 다양해진 점도 분명 있지만, 대부분 1회차의 패턴 강화라는 느낌이 강합니다.
그람마르티스의 경우에 이점이 명확하게 드러난 것 같습니다. 분명 1회차에서 봤던 패턴들인데, 쉴새없이 패턴들이 치고 들어와 공격할 틈이 없게 됩니다.
하드모드의 아쉬움을 뒤로하면 제겐 충분히 매력적이고 재밌는 게임이었습니다. 다양한 액션과 무기, 건패링, 매력적이고 공략할 맛이 나는 보스 등등 도전과제 다 깰만한 게임은 충분히 됩니다.

I really, really liked the video on this games page. The areas seemed varied and interesting, the enemies and bosses seemed cool, and the visuals are really great. I had high hopes for this games general atmosphere.
But did the actual game live up to my expectations? I honestly can't tell you, because movement and combat is so crap in this game that I couldn't play more than 10 minutes of it.
The mass of positive reviews on this game honestly baffles me a bit. Maybe I'm just not seeing something in the games core mechanics that so many others are, but I think its more likely that a lot of those positive reviews either come from bots or 3 time world champion super ghouls-and-ghosts speedrunners.
So if you're a 3 time world champion super ghouls-and-ghosts speedrunner, seriously try this game out. It doesn't handle as well as that game, but the atmosphere seems beautiful.

Souls-like ve metroidvania türlerine bayılan biri olarak bu oyun hem hoşuma gitti hemde gitmedi gibi. İyi yanları oynanış ve platform dizaynı fena değil dark soulstan kendince güzel alıntılar yapmış kestirmeler, gizli duvarlar, dark souls benzeri boslar eklemişler. Hikayesi biraz basite kaçmış ama combat sistemi gayet iyi ve herhangi bir bug vs. olmadı. Kötü yanına gelicek olursak çoğu souls-like oyununun yaptığı en büyük hatalardan biri oyunu gereksiz zor yapmak dark souls sadece zorluğundan ibaret bir oyun değil sırf bu yüzden oyunun final boss'unu geçemeden kapatmak zorunda kaldım bu tarz oyunlarda mekanik kısıtlı olduğu için aşırı zor boss'ları yenmek imkansız hale geliyor. Ama genede diğer olumlu yanları yüzünden olumsuz vermek istemedim.

Previously, en Manqueando... "Minoria", que estaba bastante bien.
Y en el episodio de hoy de Manqueando... "Void Memory"
Que penita más grande... a ver por donde empiezo... esto es un... ¿metroid con souls?. Si, más o menos es eso. El problema es que tiene muchos problemas. Y no me refiero a bugs, pero ya tocaré el tema. Los problemas vienen en cuanto a diseño, en mi opinión. Trataré de ser escueto, aunque me es contra-natura.
-No hay mapa. Esto molesta, pero es superable, ya que el mapa no es supercomplejo, y hay viaje rápido desde el inicio.
-Sólo tiene 3 resoluciones a elegir, y no están los 1080, ni los 1440 (las 2 que suelo usar). Dudo que haya 4k. Con lo cual, tendremos una resolución que nos corta bordes negros por los 4 costados. No es algo que a mi personalmente me mate, pero sé que a muchos les j*de una barbaridad. Hay que mencionarlo.
-Elegir control es... raro. No me aceptaba el gamepad, y me tuve que ir a importar configuraciones hasta que encontré la de xbox1 (el gamepad que uso). Pero lo hice en Big picture, no en el juego.
-Por cierto, el personaje no se agacha, lo cual no seria un problema. Sin embargo, hay perros a los que tendrias que golpear agachado si usas un arma que pegue recto. Pero no te puedes agachar. Ni cambiar el arma hasta el punto de guardado, asi que el perrete te puede matar sin ningun tipo de posibilidad de represalia. Y gastar la limitada magia en matar a un bicho que no tiene ni media hostia (caen de a 1)... es un desperdicio.
-Hay un botón para salir al menú principal del juego. Por alguna razón, cuando lo pulso me sale una de esas ventanitas de error, donde si elijo "ignore" (creo que es esa), el juego vuelve a la pantalla de titulo. Pero fijo que eso no tendria que pasar. Ese seria el único bug que me he encontrado.
-Usar la subweapon es más complicado de la cuenta. Primero hay que pulsar un botón, y luego el ataque para que la use. No seria más sencillo que el botón que pulsamos primero la usase directamente? No se... serán cosas mias ¬ ¬'
-Cuando subes de nivel, tu vida se incrementa, pero nada más. Las armas hacen el mismo daño, las hostias que te comes te quitan lo mismo, solo que tienes más vida, pero como los enemigos tambien se refuerzan, pues al final las gallinas que entran por las que van saliendo. Y más importante, tu stamina no aumenta un pijo. Y como tu no puedes elegir un carallo, pues asi vas.
-Sólo se pueden equipar cosas en el punto de guardado. Si te equivocas de arma o pillas una nueva... te j*des hasta que llegues al punto de guardado, que por cierto, todos son diferentes, aunque una lucecilla te indica que lo es.
-No hay manera de saber cuando subirás de nivel ni nada.
-Hay zonas muyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy oscuras, y no se si se llegará a pillar algo para iluminarlas, pero tienes que atravesarlas forzosamente para llegar a algunos de tus objetivos, y en serio... no se vé apenas "ná".
-La dificultad está regular. Si, es dificil, pero en plan mal. Esto es... enemigos que te disparan desde fuera de pantalla, con lo cual, sueles acabar en algun agujero, por que claro, cuando te dan, hace el típico saltito hacia atrás. Y adivinad que hay donde cae el saltito. Efectivamente un agujero. Y mueres. Y no sabes quien te ha matado. Esto no es muy frecuente, pero ocurre algunas veces.
Luego hay minibosses con stamina infinita (pegan pegan y pegan y vuelven a pegar) y claro, tu esquivas, esquivas esquivas y... se acabó tu stamina. Y ahora que igual tienes ventana de golpe... no puedes, porque no tienes stamina. Y entonces... el vuelve a pegar, y pegar... etc... al final, acabas tratando de pasar de largo.
A nivel visual, me ha recordado un poco a "Usurper". La música no está mal (tampoco es memorable). El control es correcto, sin más. Para ser sinceros, una vez empecé a jugar, me estaba gustando bastante, pero al llegar a cierto punto, los problemas de la dificultad antes mencionados empiezan a notarse demasiado. Y es que claro... de repente aparece un palomo, te da una tova y te quedas con un 10% de vida y cara de imbecil. Chacho!!! que tengo nivel 45!!! ¿Seguro que deberias dar tan fuerte? Por que luego los bosses no quitan tanto ni de lejos, y las peleas contra ellos no están mal.
No me lo he terminado aun, y sinceramente... no sé si lo haré. Estoy en un punto en el que las carencias o defectos del juego, me están empezando a pesar más que los aciertos. Y me da mucha rabia, porque veo que le han puesto ganas, y me estaba gustando. Conio!! a quien le gusta empezar algo que está bien (libro, juego, peli, etc) y ver como ese algo de repente se estropea a marchas forzadas?
En fin... iré buscando otro al que darle duro, y dejaré este para ratos cortos. Le voy a cascar un 6, pero por todas las razones expuestas arriba... no puedo recomendarlo. Y me jode, porque lo que es el juego en si no es malo. Pero algunas decisiones de diseño, y lo sumamente limitado de las opciones de control y gráficas creo que pesan demasiado en general.
Y en el próximo Manqueando... "Table top racing", que lo tengo ahi pendiente hace tiempo.

나쁘지않은 인디게임. 다크소울보단 매트리배니아 장르게임이다. ost나 도트 모두 만족스럽다. 문제는 이 게임은 데미지를 입은 후에 무적판정이 아예 없다. 다르게 말하면 몹한테 연속공격맞는순간 그냥 손놓고 있어야한다. 게다가 공중콤보당하면 그냥 끄는게 좋다. 플레이어가 공중에서 맞는순간 대응할 수 있는 수단이 전혀 없어서 후반으로 갈 수 록 불합리한 시스템을 가지고 있다. 게다가 dlc지역이나 막보로 가면 갈 수록 뭔짓을 하던 한방컷이다. 전형적인 인디게임의 불합리한 난이도를 보여준다. ost와 도트는 좋으나 난이도가 상당히 불합리함

Все очень плохо.
В игре есть:
- система кастомизации персонажа (шмотки, оружие, consumables), и это ок;
- лор и сюжет (наверное);
- нормальная, не выкручивающая тестикулы сложность (играл около часа, правда)
- мир выглядит большим и разветвленным, можно бегать и исследовать, находки ценные (нашел оружие - сравнил со своим - надел или оставил у себя в инвентаре)
- игра вроде бы пытается затянуть, но есть нюансы, ведь
В игре нет или почти нет:
- рисовки, она очень примитивна, хоть и симпатична местами. Не возникло ощущения, что нас хотят удивить стилем, игра не пытается косить под олдовый графон, она просто плохо выглядит (кажется, что лучшие кадры из игры – на скриншотах, за час игры сменилось несколько локаций, но ни одна из них красотой не поражает);
- анимации. В состоянии покоя анимация есть у главного героя, и вроде бы у дружественных нпц. Враги стоят неподвижно, пока не завидят нас. В целом анимация, мягко говоря, ТАК СЕБЕ;
- внятного эмбиента. Шум воды, какие-то клавиши при возрождении – маловато будет;
- интерактивного мира. Бочки не разбиваются, камни не ломаются, за края платформ герой не цепляется, свечки нельзя потушить. Есть рычаги и платформы, но жизни миру это не придает;
- как следствие – нет атмосферы, погружаться в местный сюжет и лор (если они действительно проработаны здесь) желание не возникло.
Вывод: нам предлагают сделанную на коленке поделку по цене нормальной инди-игры. Рефанд.
З.Ы. Хочется надеяться, что я ошибаюсь, но это вряд ли.
ダークソールライクという扱いをされてますが別物です。ただ、似てる部分もありますがリスペクトです。
Un dark souls en 2D que se adapta de forma demasiado literal, dando lugar a momentos muy frustrantes (ataques fuera de cámara, que en el aire estés vendido...) pero tiene un rollo tan amateur que me encandila. Se nota que el que lo hizo le puso todo su alma.

DLC 출시전엔 평가도 좋고 체감 난이도도 적당했던거같은데,
오랜만에 도전과제 밀려고 재설치했더니 Normal 난이도인데도 지옥을 경험했습니다.
어째서?? DLC 추가되면서 난이도가 상향된건가??
어떻게 꾸역꾸역 밀어서 최종보스를 남겨두고 42렙이 되었는데
DLC 지역인 설원은 도저히 진행 못하겠더군요. (붉은 사제가 쓰러지질 않아)
렙업 노가다를 하려했는데.. 레벨도 안오르고... 왜죠 ?? 경험치를 안주는건가 ??
최후의 수단으로 DLC를 포기하고, 하드모드로 이동했습니다. 그랬더니 레벨이 다시 오르더군요...
하드모드 첫 보스는 죽을힘으로 잡았지만... 그 뒤로는 의욕이 그만 꺾여버렸습니다.
화면을 꽉채운 잡몹들, 여기저기서 투사체가 날아오고 하나같이 치명적인 대미지.
이동기로 스킵도 못하게 아예 밀어버리는 몹들도 포진해있고...
난이도가 이게 맞는건가요...
어려운 게임도 나름 평균 이상 가는 실력이라 자신하고
플랫포머, 소울류, 메트로베니아 등 관련 장르에는 자신있는 편이었는데
이 게임은 감히 용기가 안납니다. 100레벨까지 노가다라도 해야하는걸까요?
근데 그런다고 해결될꺼같진 않은.. 그런 막연한 좌절감이 드는 난이도네요...
Preso da una crisi di nervi scrivo questa recensione per sconsigliarvi fortemente questo gioco. Essere un Soul-Like misto ad un Metroidvania non significa per forza essere difficile come in questo modo. Ripetere 200 volte un Boss e morire sistematicamente non mi sembra una cosa normale.
Questo gioco è stato creato col solo obiettivo di essere un'esperienza frustrante e priva di alcun divertimento; in alcuni punti è letteralmente impossibile proseguire se non per una questione di pura fortuna. Inoltre, presenta diversi bug gravi e difetti di programmazione gravi, quali il salto che funziona nelle fasi di platforming, nemici che attaccano e colpiscono alla velocità della luce senza darti la possibilità di schivare o reagire, muori spesso con un colpo o due se sei fortunato, il framerate passa da 100 a 0 ogni tot di secondi, il gioco presenta freeze frequenti, le scelte di game design riguardo i boss sono pessime, dato che molti sono nient'altro che un ammasso di mosse a caso imprevedibili e che spesso ti oneshottano senza preavviso. Pessima la storia, dato che è stata scritta/tradotta male ed è praticamente incomprensibile per me, e di giochi in inglese ne ho giocati e finiti parecchi, ergo lo comprendo abbastanza; le musiche sono spesso generiche e ripetitive, e lasciano il tempo che trovano (solo una m'è piaciuta davvero, altre due erano okay). In definitiva, questo gioco non dovrebbe esistere e la mia valutazione sincera e incazzata a riguardo è 0/100.

재밌는 2d 닼소블본맛.플레이타임은 생각보다 길지 않으나 심리적 압박으로 인하여 피곤하다.
보스에서 막혀도 참고 계속 하다보면 된다.게임이 끝나면 바로 하드모드로 2회차가 시작된다.
재밌었지만 2회차는 안할생각.
분위기와 주변 반응을 통해 처음에는 다크소울을 생각하고 플레이했었습니다.
그렇기에 초반부터 꽤 어려울거라고 생각했던 게임이였지만, 생각보다 초반은 쉬웠습니다.
메인 보스 두마리를 잡고, 드디어 세번째 보스에 도전하는데... 갑작스럽게 난이도가 훅 하고 올라가더라구요.
사실 여기까지는 꽤 기대했습니다. 이제부터 계속해서 어려운 보스가 나오는건가? 하면서 기대를 많이 했거든요.
그런데 이후로는 이름있는 네임드 보스를 제외하고는 생각보다 어렵다 느껴지지 않았습니다. 1트만에 클리어한 보스도 많았구요.
오히려 최종 보스 직전까지 제일 많이 죽은 이유는 "맵의 플랫폼/절벽에서 떨어져서" 였습니다... 사악한 몹 배치더군요. 점점 심해지다가 마지막 보스가 나오는 맵에서 꽤 많이 리트라이했던것 같습니다.
그래도 사람은 적응하는 동물이라 어떻게든 최종보스방까지 왔는데.... 여태까지 봐왔던 난이도랑 상상이 다르더군요...
방심하고 있던 제 뒷통수를 돈까스 망치로 후려쳐서 맛있는 돈까스로 만들어버린 기분이였습니다.
다른 보스들하고 차원이 다른 강함에 10트를 조금 넘겼을 도중에 포기할까도 했을 정도였죠...
최종보스가 어려운건 문제가 되지 않았지만, 그 어려움이 이전부터 서서히 드러난게 아니라,
갑작스럽게 등장한게 좀 아쉬웠습니다. 당장에 최종보스 바로 이전 보스도 3트정도로 바로 꺴을정도로 어렵지 않았으니까요.
그래도... 고된 노력 끝에 겨우 클리어했을때는 정말 상쾌했습니다. 아쉬운 부분은 많았지만 잘 만든 게임이였던것 같아요.
이런 2D 플랫포머 게임은 자주 안했는데 이 게임이 그 분야에 눈을 뜨게 해준것 같습니다.
그래도 하드모드나 DLC는 너무 자비가 없어서 당분간은 접어두려 합니다... 언젠가 떄가 되면...
총평으로는, 아쉬운 점은 많았지만 완성도 높은 훌륭한 게임이였습니다. 재밌었어요!

I sadly can't recommend this game, as it falls in a lot of the usual trappings of games inspired by the Souls franchise (or soulslike genre). You never have enough stamina and the bosses are often overwhelming (although aside from the final boss, they don't usually take more than 5 or 6 attempts). All but the lightest weapons have too long of a recovery for the enemies/bosses in this game. Unless you're using swords or the light mace, you're way too exposed for it to be worth it (you can't dodge cancel recovery frames).
Traversal isn't really that interesting, save for a few sections like the castle.
The story is typical "read all the lore in the item descriptions and talk to cryptic NPCs to piece the story." You either like it or you don't. The localization isn't that great, but I think it makes it kind of charming?
If you want other soulslikes in this price range, I recommend Unworthy or Salt and Sanctuary.
Controller support for this game is completely bonkers. No controller support in menus at all, button mapping is all over the place. The game also only reports key bindings, not controller bindings, in-game.
Oh and if you ever press the Esc key (perhaps looking for some kind of menu?) yeah that immediately ends the current game and dumps you back to the title screen. No confirmation, no warning that's about to happen. Just boop, title screen.
This may even be a good game. But the controls are so completely incompetent it isn't worth my time to find out.

정말 재미있게 하고있습니다
그래픽도 정말 제 취향이라 좋네요
섭리와의 3시간동안의 미팅은 정말 짜릿한 경험이 아닐 수 없었습니다
며칠동안 붙들고있던 그레이스 가는 길도 제 샌즈에 대한 인식을 완전히 뒤집어주었습니다
개쩌는 창병들과 빨좀들도 제 혼을 빼놓기엔 충분했습니다

게임을 산 지는 한참 됐지만 도중에 너무 힘들어서 쉬고싶은 기분이 들 정도로 어려웠습니다.
그래픽과 모션 모두 정성들여 보기 좋았지만 게임에 대한 솔직한 의견을 내보고 싶네요.
솔직히 플랫포머 게임을 아예 처음 접한 사람들에게 추천드리고 싶진 않습니다.
정확히 말하자면 게임 자체에 대해 능숙한 사람이 이 게임을 플레이 한다면, 몇 타임만 달리면 보스를 깨고 다음 스테이지로 넘어가죠.
엔딩을 보고 난 뒤엔 하드모드로 넘어갈겁니다.
하지만 게임에 능숙하지 못한 사람이 이 게임을 플레이한다면 ( 저 같은 케이스) 노멀엔딩도 제대로 못보고 분노만을 초래할 가능성이 높습니다. 제가 절정으로 터진건 배회하는 실험체로 가는길이 너무 험난했던거 같네요.
게임에는 여러가지 요소가 있지만 전부 죽음을 각오해야한다는 점도 도저히 이해하기가 힘드네요. 혹은 못찾을 수도 있죠.
전투 부분에선 적의 패턴을 알기 위해서 적의 공격을 맞아야 한다는 결과는 당연히 불러 일으키죠. 우린 그것을 통해 학습하고 그것에 적응해나가는게 목표죠. 다만 한번 패턴으로 수없이 즉사를 하게되는것은 이는 결국 분노만을 초래하는 결과를 남아오게 합니다.
그 즉사를 하지 않게하려는 요소는 분명 있지만 결국 순간 반응으로 대체되는 일이 너무나도 많습니다.
고도의 인내심만을 가진 사람이 게임을 해쳐나갈 수 있다고 생각하네요.
게임을 하는 사람들은 게임에는 어떤 요소가 있을까 분명 호기심을 가집니다. 다만 과연 그 호기심이 게임에 악영향을 끼칠 정도로 만들 필요가 있었을까 하는 의심이 생깁니다. 이런 요소는 분명히 호불호가 갈릴거라고 생각합니다.
dlc를 제작하고 있다는 소식이 있었습니다. 부디 이런 평가는 신경쓰지 않으시고 만들어 주셨으면 하네요.

어설프게 소울류 따라한 게임. 그럭저럭 할만하지만 소울류를 2D로 구현했을때의 단점이 고대로임. 낭떠러지인지 숨겨진 맵이 있는지 직접 시점을 돌려서 확인할수 있는 소울류와 달리 이건 무조건 죽어봐야함. 지금 함정 가득한 성까지 왔는데 재밌다기보단 짜증만 남.
기왕 2D로 만들었으면 앉기라도 좀 만들어주지. 좀 밑에 있다고 공격 안들어갈대 빡침.
가끔씩 공격판정 애매함.
그리고 빨간 좀비 그거 왜 만들었냐?
공격당해도 경직도 없이 그냥 빠른속도로 달려와서 몸통박치기기만 연타판정으로 공격하는 적이 재밌냐?
혹시 아돌 패러디랍시고 해놓은거냐?
다크 소울 + 블러드본을 2D 횡스크롤로 난이도 많이 하양해서 옮겨놓은 게임. 그 이상 이하도 아님.
这游戏的战斗系统、武器和敌人BOSS设计都还可以，但无法掩盖制作粗糙的事实。首先是UI极其粗糙，简直是20世纪的游戏，手柄支持也不好。然后是地图、关卡设计，给人感觉就是制作组水平不够，做不出又难又好玩的感觉，只一味追求难度却又没有提供可靠的解决方案，最终玩家的体验就是恶心，而不是反思。如果制作者有更高水平的策划，这款游戏可以有上佳的表现，挺可惜的。

For non-linear action/adventure games, it's really important to establish the "What am I doing? Where am I going? Do I care?" element fairly early. Here, it just didn't happen. It felt very unpolished and obtuse from the get-go, like an ersatz version of a better game in the genre- so why wasn't I playing one of those instead?
Ugly graphics and gui, difficulty all over the place, last two boss fights crystal clear trolling. 3/10

It is a souls-like metroidvania with a long learning curve. Once you get the hand of it, it is a unique adventure to go through. Combat is clunky and requires some management. Every weapon has two-combo moveset. It is not recommended to fininsh due to the fact that the attack and dodge takes away so much stamina that makes you feel like you never exercise before––tired as hell. Plus all the bosses has a barrage of unforgiving movesets. That`s for later part. For story, you are a phantom summoned for the sake of collecting the broken "Relic" to...destroy the fractured world? Or save it? I am not quite sure what`s the meaning of my so-called "holy yet cruel crusade of relic-hunting". Almost all the lores come from dialogues, from a subjective point of view. Often time the clues I can find in game are enigmatic or straight up unrelated to the whole. As a result, levels becomes a multi-stage runthrough without in depth connection. Your progression transforms to following orders without question, a shame really for me who digs this game`s design and story.
Remember the bosses I mentioned above? Here comes the part which I love/hate. I love how the bosses are designed, as well as their movesets. They are distinctive. However, I hate how unforgiving they are. On paper, their movesets are dope; in reality, they are ridiculous to a degree of losing fairness. Our protogansit`s only way of evasion is to dash forward. The problem is the AOE bosses have are often long and lasting. It is hard to tell whether the skill is over, or did I successfully escape. Mistakes are made, and half of the health vansih. Most unbalanced one is Grammartys.Being the earlly challenging main boss I don`t even know how many time I got kick in the ass by this damnable montrosity. Let`s keep it this way: imagine in Dark Souls 3, put Pontiff Sulyvahn to where Abyss Watchers is, and ampflies his speed and range. That's HIM.
NG+ is hell. The difficulties rank up because there are more late-game enemies in begining, and they all hit like trucks. To this point our protagnist is a true paper doll––two-shot by everything. This is a cheap way to cover new difficulty. Bosses are even more unforgiving than before. Faster. Stronger. And larger AOE. I don`t even know why I bother finish it again considering there`s no true rewards other than achievements.(which I am obessive with, so screw myself then.)
To ravel it all, I only recommend this game for first time playthrough. Other than that just don`t. DON'T.
第一印象挺好 画风也不错 但打了汉化补丁乱码emmm 跳的感觉很低 把握不好高度 全屏平砍的时候屏幕中间会有一道白线 希望能优化下 需要中文（划重点）
If you're into Souls games/Castlevania, this might be your cup of tea.
Great game. About 6 hours in while writing this. Has a lot of the Souls elements present, and some clear insipirations (cough cough blood borne). Some of the bosses are difficult, while I also found some of the mini-boss fights very hard.
Attacks are basic, there's only two hit combos, but the Character you play can dodge almost any attack (with timing).
Weapons are varied, but you have the usual categories of Long Swords/Speers/GreatSwords/Maces/Pistols. There are NO SHIELDS. I'm not really a fan, but some people who are shield players might be disappointed.
Story is a bit wierd. Something about being summoned as a Phantom ring a bell? Then at times you are also called an Investigator.
Doesnt help that the item descriptions and NPC conversations seem a bit off. I think the developer's were from Russia and Japan.
There are many parts of the game where you can't see ****. Its just pitch black. I have yet to find any items such as a lantern to help alleviate this.
Some NPC's can just throw you off the map. Just something to watch out for.
There are no merchants or blacksmiths. Kinda wondered where they all went...
No ranged weapons besides some pistols...a bit disappointed
I got the game on sale for 5$ Canadian, so for the price its a great deal. If I really wanted , I would have paid the 11$.
So if you're a sidescrolling fan , definetly pick this up. Its not the perfect game, but I got enough enjoyment out of it.

I would like to preface this addendum of my own by saying I really want to like this game. I honestly do. But there is still so much wrong with it that I can't recommend it in good faith. I replayed the whole game expecting it to be more balanced and approachable only to be sorely disappointed. Only one enemy was "balanced," the Red Zombie, which was impossible to handle pre-patch. Everything else that could have used some rework (enemy spells/mages, mini-bosses) did not get one. Some weapons feel worse off and only cemented the Mace and Iron Flail as being the best weapons while everything else is useless (either due to stamina consumption or attack speed). Items don't feel much different either and the healing items didn't feel like they were buffed much. Now, lets talk about the "New areas." They, sadly, suffer from the same issues as the base game. The mini-bosses there as well as the one boss I made it to are frustratingly unfair. They have more attack chains than your Stamina can handle and are able to warp around the area so you can't really outrun them to get some breathing room. The damage output of the one boss was so bad that she had two attacks that were OHKOs on my character. Whats worse is that one of them shares an animation with a much less severe attack. She also has a "predictive dodge" mechanic that will move her out of range and nullify your first attack chance which severely limits which weapons you can use and is compounded by the stamina issues. Because of all this, the rest of my review still stands as well as my rating.

Outfits – The one unique thing about this game. You can find outfits that can customize and change your characters appearance, and even gender. Unfortunately, that’s it.
[b]The Bad:[/b]
There is so much wrong with this game that I don’t even know where to start:

[*]Gameplay - [i]Void Memory[/i] fails to live up to the games it took inspiration from. Platformers are usually fair and make sense. If there is a floor below the one you are on and you see a hole above the floor below, logically, you should be able to jump into said hole for a possible shortcut, no? That is where you are wrong. [i]Void Memory[/i] places bottomless pits even in spots where you should drop down to the floor below. So good luck figuring out which hole is safe and which is death. Even worse is there is no way to have the camera move to check out any possible jumps you make. They are all leaps of faith. Another issue is that the developers decided to be cheap and make it so enemies get free kills on you. Anything that can shoot you, can knock you back and they tend to place them near bottomless pits, so have fun with that. They also took the idea that more enemies makes it more difficult which results in nothing more than artificial difficulty that is frustrating.
[*]Lighting – The game seems to focus on your character and your character alone. In some areas, if it is out of the “Radius of Light” that focuses on your character, you will be staring at a black screen. It doesn’t help that this can cause trouble with platforming areas and even some bosses.
[*]Combat - It starts off okay and then gets tedious as enemies will respawn as you move between screens. This is compounded by the fact that the developers either A) left an area barren with no enemies or B) loaded an area up with as many enemies as possible. The end result can usually be a cheap death or two as you try to deal with the melee enemies while the ranged ones rain death upon you. The other issue is the difficulty spikes of combat. It goes from no challenge at all to pure frustration that can lead to rage quits. This includes some enemies that can do obscene amounts of damage, shoot a never ending stream of magical homing projectiles (that launch you and/or stunlock you), or, with one hidden one, that can either yahoo kick your character off the cliff or launch them back into the next screen thus resetting the fight.
[*]Controls - They respond. Most of the time. It was frustrating that many of my deaths resulted in the dodge failing because it failed to register.
[*]Menu – There is none. At least not in the typical sense. [i]Void Memory[/i] decided to be innovative in the worst possible way by removing a player’s ability to access the menu at any given time unless it was at their “Bonfire” mechanic thing. It is only there that you can change out gear including weapons and sub weapons. What this means is that you may end up dying a cheap death because you literally can’t hit an enemy with your current set up such as the dogs (at least I think they are as you hear barking before they charge you).
[*]Leveling up – Your level and HP go up. That’s about it. Your weapons seem to do a fixed amount of damage no matter how high your level goes. Worse yet, you never gain any form of defense meaning you can take a large amount of damage from some enemies and bosses unless your manage to dodge.
[*]Story – I honestly have no idea what was going on with the few tidbits I got. Items have sparse information and NPCs are few and far between. It also doesn’t help that you need to return to the “bonfire” to read the new item description. I feel as if this hurts the lore potential as some items may relate to the location found in.
[b]Conclusion:[/b]
All in all, [i]Void Memory[/i] is a poorly made game that favors cheap and artificial difficulty over an actual challenge. Its own innovative design only hurt it more rather than allowing it to stand out. Avoid it at all costs unless you are a true masochist. [b]3/10[/b]

I tried to be tenacious and keep playing in hopes that maybe it might get better only to find even more wrong with it. I would like to add that the Developer took inspiration from the Smash Bros. Series too.
[*]Hitboxes – Sometimes the hitbox of your weapon will just not register. Now, I could understand if it was a smaller weapon, but when you are swinging a weapon twice the size of you and it goes through an enemy, one that you just killed 20 times before for it to not connect means there is something wrong. This happened to me over water which, in this game as most enemies tend to knock you back, you can’t swim in and is an instant death.
[*]Stamina – The [i]Soulsborne[/i] game series allows their players to raise up their stamina meter in order to swing heavy weaponry more than once. Not in this game. Your Stamina meter is set to a fixed maximum amount which means you need to micromanage if you like swinging around building sized weapons. This can be frustrating if you decided to try out a new weapon only to find out that you can get about two swings off before you have little to no stamina left which leaves you with fewer dodging opportunities. This is only made worse in that you can not switch weapons until you get the next “bonfire” or return to a previous one.
[*]Physics – I had mentioned earlier that there was a secret enemy that could yahoo kick you off a cliff or kick you back into the next screen to reset the fight. Little did I know I was actually playing Super Smash Bros. in disguise with my damage percentage set to 100%. While most enemies tend to launch you back enough to drop you over a bottomless pit to your death, there are a few that can send you flying across the screen like the aforementioned one. Even worse is that some bosses can launch you to the moon, or as close to the celling of the screen as possible. One of of the unscheduled skybound flights I experienced was with a downward slam attack, which should have put me down for a nap rather than launching in to the air. This is only made worse because if you are stuck in the air, you are a free target for any possible follow up attack as you can’t perform air dodges.

가장 큰 문제로 패드지원이 이도저도 아닙니다 그렇다고 키보드 조작감이 좋은것도 아닙니다
소울라이크에서 개인적으로 중요하다 보는것 중 하나가 조작감인데 진짜 왜 이렇게 구성을 했는지 의문이네요
대체 공격버튼이랑 선택버튼은 왜 묶었고, 상호작용 버튼과 선택 버튼은 왜 안묶었는지 도저히 이해가 안가네요
이거 때문에 진행할때랑 등불 앉았을때 조작 버튼이 달라져서 짜증납니다
여러 대책을 강구해봤지만 그러는 것도 짜증나고 결국 뭔짓을 해도 등불앉을때 짜증나는건 똑같았습니다
사격 버튼도 대체 왜 2버튼 구성으로 했는지.. 그리고 윗방향키에 사격 준비 자세가 기본적으로 할당 되어 있는데 이건 존재하는 의미를 모르겠네요
다른게임은 대부분 후반에 강화되면서 못가던 곳도 가게 해주는 기믹으로 넣는 2단점프도 솔직히 왜 초반부터 넣었는지 짐작이 갑니다 주인공 다리에 문제가 있는건지 아니면 레벨디자인을 아무 생각없이 한건지 누가봐도 그냥 점프로 갈수 있을 법하게 위치한 곳을 2단으로 뛰어야 갈수 있네요 지형 도트도 어떤 곳은 그냥 일자 평면인데 어떤 곳은 입체감을 주려 한건지 바닥이 사선으로 기울어져있어서(EX 두번째 스샷의 바닥) 점프했을때 바닥에 닿은건지 안닿은 건지 구분이 안갑니다
다른 소울라이크와는 달리 다크소울이 아닌 블러드본에서 여러 아이디어를 따온건 참신했습니다만 그 아이디어를 제대로 살리지는 못한것 같네요
호평일색이라 기대하고 플레이 했는데 상당히 실망스러웠습니다

제가 어려운게임을 좋아하는대 이 게임은 훌륭한 난이도와 게임성을 가지고있습니다.
리뷰를 쓰는걸 까먹어서 몇달후에 쓰는것이지만 이 게임은 자신의 피지컬을 시험하기에 딱 좋습니다.
포기하지말고 몇백번 죽더라도 한번이라도 승리한다면 여러분은 승리자입니다.
Когда обнаружил эту игру в библиотеке, не смог понять, почему я её взял. На видео и скриншотах она выглядит не очень. Она и в живую выглядит не так себе, но как оказалось, что за откровенно неказистой оболочкой скрывается довольно компетентная игра. Она не делает ничего такого особенного, но то, что делает, делает хорошо.
Механически это соулс-лайк метроидвания. Ну не совсем. Это словно демоверсия жанров, представляющая их в несколько урезанном виде. От соулсов тут присутствует завязанная на менеджменте стамины боёвка с перекатами/эвейдами, но ролевой системы нет. Ты просто набиваешь уровень отчего у тебя повышается здоровье и выносливость. И, возможно, урон, но это не точно. Системы возвращения за своими останками так же нет. Ты просто теряешь половину накопленного опыта и всё. Тут ещё система тринкетов, которые повышают статы (иногда параллельно понижая другие статы) либо добавляя герою какие-нибудь возможности вроде лайфстила или чуть более высоких прыжков. Но слотов всего два штуки и собрать из них какой-то билд, как Холлов Найте, например, всё равно не получится. От метроидваний тут одна единственная важная развилка, для которой нужны те самые высокие прыжки. И парочка необязательных мест, в которых ничего важного и нужного нет. Уровни просто идут один за другим, словно в обычном сайдскроллере. Сами уровни довольно прямолинейные, за исключением некоторых. Довольно мало каких-то важных ответвлений или шорткатов. Не то, чтобы это плохо, но метроидвании обычно не так делаются.
Но, в целом, если учесть, что основное блюдо здесь боёвка и платформинг, это всё не особо беспокоит. Повторюсь, сделано не экстраординарно, но компетентно. Игра довольно долго разгоняется и первые несколько уровней вообще не понимаешь зачем в это играть, потому что тебя даже пальцем тронуть не могут. Но со временем сложность вырастит достаточно сильно.
2D Jank Soul.
The graphisms look weird and the background is pretty ugly. Animations are weird, hitbox take some time to get used too and I still don't really understand how the iframe work on the dash. The english translation was clearly not made by a native english speaker (just like this review!)
The subweapon system feels pretty limited, there's quite a lot of them and you're limited to one item (it can be a weapon with limited usage, a passive buff or a limited buff/heal) or a spell (quite a lot of different spells too).
But this being said, the game is still pretty fun. It's a fairly decent 2D action game, with some freedoms as where to go next. Bosses are the main draw of this game, and they're all fun and challenging. There's quite a lot of them too.
If you really like this game the NG+ completly change the ennemy placement and give bosses's new move. You also get a secret final boss once you reach the max level.
Overall, the game is fun Korean Jank

THE POSITIVE:
I like how smooth the combat feels, although the controls a little weird but you get used to it. the art style is gorgeous, and you can change the player model to many different cool appearances, it has a wide variety of weapons to use which encourages different playstyles. it even offers a side weapon. somewhat like Bloodborne.
THE NEGATIVE:
I was enjoying it very much until I finished the first half of the game, I reached an area so frustratingly difficult, I never played it again.
Difficult as in: the run to the boss drains all your resources only for you to reach an overpowered 1 hit KO boss to finish the job and kill you instantly.
And you can't change the resolution past 1600x1200.
Not recommended for impatient and casual players like myself.
If you like the difficulty then by all means go ahead and play it.
Since i don't have internet for my laptop where I live, steam has not recorded my actual playtime. I have played around 6 hours.
It's ridiculous that you cannot open any menu until you are at a "bonfire". Not being able to change equipment when you want hurts experimentation. That's not getting into the problem with changing system settings. I have to manually close out the game and run it again because there isnt a way to open settings ingame or even go back to the title. This is especially bad when you're playing wih a controller and the tutorial gives you the keyboard controls. And then when I checked the gamepad controls on the menu, Two of the button where switched around so I ended getting paranoid about actually customizing them. To add insult to injury you have to figure which buttons are relevant to the "bonfire menu because it gives you the keyboard prompts.
Your character controls rather stiffly. Attacks lack proper weight. When you're hit it, there's not really an animation. Your character just flings backwards(or forwards into the air. Every attack does this. It makes platforming even more of a chore and is one of the reasons why enemies aren't fun to fight. Unless I'm missing something there's no way to upgrade your healing which is a bit a problem in higher levels.
The artstyle is pretty good regarding your character, npcs, enemies, and bosses, though some of the animations aren't that great. Locations are not as good. A lot of it is pretty blocky looking and amateurish at times.
Platforming is terrible. In dark areas you have to rely on leap of faith jumps to see where can go. There's uneven terrain you don't know you can walk on. Backgrounds sometim looking like it can be platforms. A later level is a gauntlet of cheap, poorly thought traps that are often unavoidable with how they're positioned. Enemy placement is awful and exacerbates the bad platforming. Enemy spam, enemits on tiny platforms, enemies that make traps unavoidable, enemies that hit you from offscreen before you even realize they're there, etc. Bosses are hit and miss. When they're good they're really good, but when they're bad oh God.
I want to like this game but there are so many glaring problems present. It's just so unpolished.
Игра сама по себе эдакая помесь игр Castelvania и Dark Souls, в которой последняя перевешивает.
Здесь уже знакомая система: на атаку и уворот у нас тратиться выносливость. И если ее нет, то нужно быть готовым к неприятному исходу битвы, как правило, летальному.
Душ как таковых в игре нет, но есть опыт/воспоминания, которые вы получаете за убийство врагов или находите по пути. Они не используются для торговли, ибо оной здесь вовсе нет, а лишь повышают ваше здоровье, при достижении уровня. Сами уровни не сбрасываются при смерти и сохраняются за вами, до самого конца. Так что умирать, так скажем "не так больно" хотя и неприятно, временами.
Касательно этого пункта - предсмертный вопль персонажа доставляет, хотя это конечно не Крик Вингельма, а так как мы в soulslike игре, данный крик будем слышать довольно часто (если вы такой же криворук, как я - счетчик смертей у меня уже перевалил за сотню).
Общий антураж безысходного мира, который заполонила разнокалиберная нечисть, в целом передан неплохо. Присутствует неплохая игра со светом и тенями, хотя как мне показалось, местами, создатели игры заигрались с этим делом: было одно темное подземелье, в котором как раз из-за чрезмерной темноты я несколько раз получал в чан от монстров и улетал в бездонную яму(это тот пункт, от которых игры еще не скоро откажутся, полагаю).
В качестве выбора основного оружия, есть масса вариантов, на любой вкус.
Хотели почувствовать себя жнецом и орудовать косой? Пожалуйста! Хотели пронзать врагов копьем или разрубать гигантским мечом, аля Berserk? На здоровье! Мечи, топоры, пики... создатели даже отдали дань классике и добавили в игру кнут, которым крайне "весело" хлестать врагов... К сожалению, из всего оружия, что я встретил в игре, это наносит меньше всего урона, а по некоторым врагам (собакам) и вовсе не попадает.
Из вспомогательного оружия есть огнестрел и магия, что тоже добавляет вариативности для тактики.
По началу игра создала у меня ошибочное впечатление, что враги в игре просто тупые болванчики и играть будет легче легкого... Зомби/пустые в начале игры, лишь ослабляют вашу бдительность. Но по мере продвижения в локациях я понял, что сильно ошибался, ибо схлопотал неиллюзорных люлей даже от ворон. От ворон, КАРЛ!!!
А уж боссы, это вообще отдельная история, наполненная воплями... Но об этом вам предстоит узнать самим)
Так же как и в серии DS, часть сюжета будет нами узнаваться из подобранных вещей и от немногочисленных НПС, которые тоже временами без дела не сидят и шляются по миру...
В общем, фанатам DS и Кастелвании должно зайти)))
I cannot fathom the 94% positive rating this game has. As someone who loves every Soulsborne game and has beaten each one multiple times, this is nothing like them. Salt and Sanctuary as well. The difficulty of Dark Souls and games like it comes from good design, the difficulty of this game comes from BAD design.
But I will start with what this game does right. The pixel graphics are gorgeous, and the game knows it. As you progress you continue to unlock new outfits which completely change your look and even sometimes animations, and that's something I genuinely appreciate. The music is acceptable. Some of the animations are very fluid and satisfying. Unfortunately that's where the positives stop because this game does just about everything else wrong.
Horribly translated dialogue means you have at best a vague idea of what's going on. I'm still not sure if Danche was a person, place, or organization because it's referred to as they and it at various points, and spoken of as if it takes individual actions.
Combat is clunky and unenjoyable. It lacks all of the fluidity a modern Metroidvania should have. You can swing your weapon twice before you're out of stamina, and for all the several levels I gained, my stamina, health, and damage never seemed to increase. For a game with even partial controller support it really wastes its button economy, and the gameplay suffers for it. Subweapons/spells are tied to the same buttons as movement and attacking, and its very easy to fire off a spell in the wrong direction because you're trying to evade enemies at the same time as actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doing anything. Meanwhile I have at least three buttons that do nothing which could easily have been used for items/subweapons.
Movement can be described at best as slow and difficult. Control in a game with only 2 dimensions is the most important thing, but if I'm fighting the controls as much as the enemies I'm not having as good a time as I could be.
Then you have the Metroidvania aspects, where the game fails once more. Staples of the genre are shortcuts, powerups, and secrets. The one shortcut I've found thus far took me from a random pit in the ground... back to the save point I was just at. You find a great variety of weapons and subweapons, but they're all either "as good" as anything else, or outright useless. Nothing you get feels like an upgrade or an unlock.
Which brings me to the next point. The progression in this game is almost purely cosmetic. I've seen no notable difference in performance between the seven weapons I've obtained thus far. Just some different movesets that, because of the clunky combat, offer zero situational advantages based on the one you choose.
Conceptually great; weapon and item variety would be very welcome in a Metroidvania normally, but the execution of this, as with much else in the game, is poor. It is clear that very little care went into the design of this game, in its levels, encounters, and even fundamental gameplay. Half of each level is just instant death pits that you can't see because of the lighting, and the number of leaps of faith in any given level is actually impressive. Because the game takes the babby's first game development approach to its design, it tries to substitute killing you for entertaining you, mistakenly thinking that that's why you're here or the reason that games like Dark Souls are successful. This game isn't punishing you, it's just insulting you with its consistently poor design choices.
This became especially apparent to me after fighting an enemy that could kick you right off the map with zero counter play. If you get hit by the kick it's just over. Instead of making this long distance knockback the setup for a different ability it made it a cheap move that either knocks you back into the previous area resetting the enemy's health, or off a nearby cliff. It's not a boss either, just a horrendously designed optional fight that gives you a non-upgrade as a "reward" and loops you back to the save point you were just at. Add to that its multitude of ranged attacks which far outclass your own, a magic arrow spell chain that takes out 80% of your health and stunlocks you if you get hit by even one of them. Can be avoided, but good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck because your I-frames don't last long enough to dodge through all of them. Again, just poorly designed and rewards circumstance more than skill, and is simply unsatisfying even when you eventually win.
This game lays the foundation for a great title, but fails to make good on any of its promises. The lack of polish across the board makes this a thoroughly unenjoyable game, and I wish I could see what everyone else apparently sees in this negative experience, because I do want to like it (and it's too late for me to get a refund).
这个游戏的设定有些不太友好，比如换装备必须在篝火换；方向键有按键冲突（摁住上再攻击会明显感受到）；不能看物品属性；各种音效听着有点奇怪（尤其是到狗那一听还以为是从不知道哪条巷子里出来的）；武器多不多不知道但是前几把的攻击动作都有点单一。
跳跃，施法等各种动作有点僵硬，没我想象中的那种魂like的感觉。（此外默认键盘按键用shift跳还能跳两下这个设定总让我想到i wanna。）
剧情的话我不好说，英语不太懂而且也没玩完。
如果是想追求那种如丝般顺滑的平台游戏的玩家，建议还是先保持观望，不要购买。
希望作者能追加更新把这些东西改改，应该是能成为一个好游戏的。
8.13修改：
今晚花了接近3个小时把最终boss给打了，感觉很多boss战都有种新鲜感，是有那种有挑战性而不是为难而难，比如右路尽头的教皇的招数就非常有意思（除了最终boss和倒数第二个boss，这两个boss打得特别无聊，就是仗着血厚而已。）。
路上的关卡设计感觉其实也不是很好，基本上一路冲刺可以无视绝大多数障碍，除非有平台需要上去，否则基本用不到跳跃（打boss也这样,全靠冲刺躲）。
剧情让我觉得莫名其妙，好像缺了什么一样。
总的来说其实37块买这个游戏其实还可以，可以打发时间，绝不会无聊。
打折买的，很不错，喜欢这类souls like游戏。
开始玩的时候，的确被较为平穷的像素画风和僵硬的人物动作劝退了，直到后来我遇到了大主教和pope这两个boss(走错流程了)，对于我这个莽夫来说，简直是疯狂受苦。还有那些神奇的游戏机制和隐蔽的地形，对萌新和收集癖十分不友好。
游戏上线不久，没有官中和多少国内玩家，但我依然很爱它，相信后来会慢慢变好，毕竟人家都考虑做dlc了。总而言之，我认为很有潜力；另外我永远爱Lu'lein.
It's ok. The gameplay is pretty solid, fun progression and a good amount of weapons and items to see. Ultimately there are three low points in this game that really soiled the experience for me, and if you don't like wasting your time to run back to bosses over and over they might make you quit. Additonally a few of the enemy types are really poorly thought out and frustrating to deal with, and they appear often enough to be a notable annoyance. Overall though I had more fun with it than I didn't. Just don't expect a masterpiece.
Also the audio mixing is terrible at times and there's no volume sliders as far as I can tell. Don't use the holy water item if you value your hearing.

This is a metroidvania game focused on combat and with some light to moderate plataforming, its clearly inspired by both SoTN and the Souls games, its enjoyable and the bosses are REALLY good but the common enemy is not that fun to kill, even so everything else fits well enough

The game uses an stamina system to dodge and to attack, but almost all weapons control the same, some are a bit faster, some have greater lenght, but they all make either 2 swings with moderate damage or 1 with heavy damage per combo, the simplicity works really well against bosses but makes normal enemies a chore to kill since your agression is heavily limited by your stamina most encounters will follow a pattern like "attack some, dodge, retreat to recharge stamina, repeat until killed, move to the next encounter"

The game does feature exploration and secrets, but the exploration is obviously not the point. the bosses on the other hand are really fun to fight and let the mechanics shine to their full potential

2D지만 어렵고 뭔가 흥미로운세계관 그리고 무기찾기. 그래서 시계탑 밑에있는 문 여는열쇠는 어디있는것이오!
일단 재밌게 했습니다. 별로였던 점이나 아쉬운 점만 적겠습니다.
영체이동의 능력이 너무 압도적임 : 연속으로 사용 시 계속 무적이라 공격 회피난이도가 너무 낮음
최종보스 클리어 시 : 강제로 다음회차라서 지나친 부분을 다시 못감
사운드 이펙트 : 사라스의 다리 부근의 몹이 내는 소리가 좀 소름끼침
해상도 : 플레이어가 볼 수 있는 화면의 크기가 좀 더 크면 좋았을 듯
보스전 BGM : 이건 어쩔 수 없는 부분이지만 BGM들이 좀더 색깔이 짙었다면 몰입이 더 잘되었을 듯 다만 추락한 왕의 BGM은 훌륭 (섭리, 그람마르티스도 꽤 괜찮았음)
UI : 경험치바가 있으면 어떨까 싶음
You itching for a little bit of that Soulsy kinda Castlevania like action? I reckon Void Memory might just do the trick. I found this baby while desperately searching Steam for something to play that wasn't absolutely terrible and I'm damned glad I did.
Keep in mind it's not a perfect game, there are times when it's a little too dark for comfort which can lead to MANY unfortunate but hilarious fall deaths and the enemies have two tiers, the trash mobs and the relentlessly irritating.
Some of the translations are absolutely hilarious but this doesn't take away from the experience so much as enhance it with a few good chuckles. Despite the translations you can fully tell there's a nifty bit of lore going on in there with an awesome atmosphere and sweet, sweet tunes when there's music to be heard.
The different weapons, accessories and sub items/weapons allow for a variety of playstyles and strategies to be formulated to fit every situation that might come your way. For some of the later bosses I'd completely rework my characters loadout to make my life easier.
Speaking of bosses, that's where the game really stood out for me. The boss designs are absolutely fantastic and some of them fully test your mettle as a gamer. They felt great. Perhaps infuriating, almost exhausting at times but hot damn they felt great.
At the price of 11 bucks or so, I'd buy it again. Absolutely delightful experience and I'd hope to see Gustav churn out some more of the good stuff in the future.

전투에있어서 기력이 매우 중요한대 이로인해 전투가 공격-회피-기력회복의 느낌으로 흘러가며
처음에는 기력의 소모때문에 전투가 답답하게 느껴지지만 좀만 익숙해지면 정말 재미있습니다.
특히 보스전이 그러한대 난이도의 편차가 있지만 대체적으로 도전욕을 불러일으키며
정말 어려울때는 이전맵을 돌아다니며 숨겨진 아이템이나 랩업을 하고 다른 무기나 장신구의
조합을 시도해보며 보스를 클리어하는 재미가있습니다.
잘만든 국산인디게임 치고는 인기가 없는것 같아서 안타까운 게임입니다.

《虚无记忆》是一款向魂系列致敬的独立游戏。它真的很小众。
不要被一开始如程序生成般简陋的场景劝退，后面会有如亚楠般晦暗压抑古龙顶般苍凉萧索的景色在等待你。从主角完全没有提示的遗物收集之旅，到台词寥寥，相遇又分离，相识又失去的NPC们，到藏在物品说明里的剧情和背景，地形杀，再到分分钟教你做人的各位BOSS老师，无不在告诉你这就是一款2D黑魂。
喔喔，这个操纵华丽剑技的圣都教皇怎么打起来感觉是黑魂3的教宗沙力万？或者，这个mid boss完全就是吸魂鬼嘛！
更不要提制作者将近1000小时的黑魂3游戏时间。
从主武器，副武器，消耗品到饰品，不要指望一套装备走天下，无数次扑街后你一定会停下来，默默打开物品栏，换一套搭配再去莽。
虽然给出的标签是横向卷轴动作游戏，但是有着如二段跳，皮鞭，飞斧，陷阱机关，大量隐藏通路隐藏宝物等银河战士恶魔城经典元素。
作为一个200兆的独立游戏，缺点也很多，UI简陋，没有人物属性面板，没有地图或怪物图鉴，不支持多种分辨率和全屏，[strike]如果这些都有就不是《虚无记忆》而是《盐和避难所》了。[/strike]以及定价过高。制作者对魂的爱和在Game Maker上投入的4000+小时开发时长，不推荐一下总觉得是件很残忍的事情。
If you are a fan of the old side scrolling castlevania games, especially SotN, this is a must have. From mechanics to the music, void memory delivers an amazaing game experaince. The game lets you explore how you like with oodles of secrets lurking throughout. Combat can be challanging at times but, everything is fair. Be perapred to sink an easy 20 hours into your first play through. The only negative I have with the game is its lack of support for a full screen mode, which is not ground breaking for me at least. For under 5$ on sale, you would be getting quite the steal. Even the orginal price tag of 16.99 is worth it in my opinion.
중간중간에 프레임 드랍현상이 있습니다. 이게 게임진행에 굉장히 방해가 됩니다.
이 현상만 고칠수있다면,게임성과 bgm이 꿀인 갓겜이라고 할 수 있을것 같습니다.
구스탑님 게임 ㄹㅇ 잘만드신다. 근데 제 컴 모니터가 UHD라 그런건진 모르겠는데 전체화면,낙사구간?죽는곳이 있는 바닥?이 존재하는 곳에서 렉이 엄청걸리네요.
Good and challenging game. Boss fights are also pretty varied. The dodging involves stuff other than using phantom maneuver at the right time, which is pretty cool given how limited your character's mobility is.
It's hard to see if enhance defense is still active or not. The light blue aura is hard to see since your character has a lot of white. I don't have this issue with enhance attack and enhance stamina so it's definitely the color.
At first I died a few times from pressing Phantom Maneuver and not having directional key held down. Took a while to figure out why my Phantom just sat there and took lethal hits lol.

당신은 영체라는 존재로 어둠이 가득한 세상에 만들어져 자신을 만들어낸 사람으로부터 성배를 찾아달라는 부탁을 받고, 모험을 떠나 성배를 찾습니다.
스토리 라인은 여러분이 아이템을 보면서 추측하는 식으로써 많은 부분이 다크소울에서 영향을 받았다는 걸 알 수 있다고 생각이 드네요.
일단 이 게임의 장점부터 찾아봅시다.
1. 독특한 게임 시스템.
저는 이 부분부터 칭찬의 찬사를 보내드리고 싶습니다. 록맨이나 다른 게임에서는 대쉬 라는 시스템은 예상을 하고, 피해야 하는 시스템이지만은 이 게임에서의 대쉬란 빠른 이동, 또한 다크소울의 구르기처럼 회피의 수단입니다.
2. 타격감
또한 타격감 자체도 나쁘지 않아요. 워낙 보스들의 체력이 많기 때문에 각각의 무기로 때릴 때 마다 그 타격감 자체가 나쁘지가 않았다고 생각이 드네요. 사실상 진정한 판타지적인 싸움이 이러한 싸움이 아닐까 라는 생각이 들 정도였습니다.
3. 보스
이 게임의 제일 큰 장점이 아닐까 싶습니다. 다크소울, 블러드본 이러한 게임에서도 보스 전에 대한 긴장감을 잘 살리지 못 했다고 생각했는 데(물론 고회차에서는 얘기가 달라집니다) 이 게임은 짧고, 굵기 때문에 짧은 시간에 우리가 상대하는 적이 얼마나 자비롭지 않다는 걸 잘 보여주었다고 생각이 드네요.
4. 아름다운 배경
전체적 게임의 배경 자체는 정말 아름다웠습니다. 게임을 할 때 마다 이게 정말 도트로 찍어낸 배경인지에 대해새 생각을 해본적이 있고요. 특히 가장 인상에 남았던 배경이 보스인 저주받은 나무라고 생각이 들었네요. 그렇게 아름다운 배경이 보스로 나왔을 때 정말 이 게임 잘 했구나 라는 생각이 들었을 정도였습니다.
그러면 이제 단점을 찾아볼까요.
1. 독창성이 없습니다
게임을 하면서 스토리도 어디에서 본 듯한 영감을 받은 듯한 스토리, 어디에서 본 듯한 게임의 시스템 등등 좀 어디에서 많이 섞어서 만들어낸 게임이 보이드 메모리 라는 생각이 많이 들었습니다.
2. 레벨 시스템
사실상 제일 아쉬웠던 점은 이 레벨 시스템이었습니다. 레벨 시스템이 경험치를 올리고, 그저 레벨이 올라가는 시스템이라니...사실상 이 레벨 시스템을 잘 이용했었다면은 무기의 다용성을 더 잘 살렸을 거라고 생각했는 데 그 점이 매우 아쉬웠습니다.
3. 소비 아이템의 이용의 다양성.
보이드 메모리 안에는 여러가지 아이템이 있습니다. 근 데 그 아이템을 다 이용할 수 있게 설정을 해둘 수도 있었는 데 사실상 소비 아이템 이용창은 한 곳 밖에 없어서 한 가지 아이템 밖에 사용을 할 수 밖에 없습니다. 즉, 게임 진행에 그다지 필요 없는 아이템은 그렇게 이용을 하지 않게 된다는 거죠. 사실상 아이템의 효과들을 보면은 매우 쓸 모가 있어 보이는 아이템은 많아보이지만은 최대 난이도가 2회차인 이 게임에서 그렇게 다양한 아이템을 쓸 기회가 거의 없다는 거는 매우 아쉬운 점이기도 했습니다.
이 게임은 제가 나오기 전부터 개발과정이나 이런거를 방송으로 보아왔기 때문에 사실 나오기 몇 일 전부터 매우 기대했습니다. 그 기대에 만족해주었고요.정말 4일 간의 시간동안 진실된 모험을 했다고 생각했을 정도였습니다. 그렇기 때문에 너무 아쉬운 점이 많아서 너무나도 마음이 답답했다고 생각했기도 했네요. 이 계기로 더 좋은 작품이 만들어지기를 저는 간절하게 빕니다.
1회차 클리어후 리뷰입니다.
게임 난이도는 조금 어려운 편이구요. 이건 소울라이크라는 장르 특성상 어쩔 수 없는 거지만요.
레벨 시스템이 있기 때문에 레벨업을 통해서 부족한 피지컬을 보충하실 수 있습니다.
스테이지 난이도는 어려운 편이며 전체적으로 어렵다기 보다는 특정 몇몇 구역이 어렵습니다.
보스 난이도는 보스마다 다르며 난이도가 스테이지 진행과 별계라는 점이 단점이겠군요. (보스난이도가 약간 들쭉날쭉합니다.)
다양한 무기와 여러 능력의 보조템의 조합으로 다양한 방식으로 전투를 할 수 있지만
아이템 조합이 가능한 수 많은 게임들을 하다보면 몇몇 좋은 조합만 쓰게 되는 현상은 어쩔 수가 없군요.
전투 타격감은 훌륭하며 피격감은 조금 과한면이 있습니다. 피격시 튕겨나간다던지 하는 점이 플레이시 방해가 될 수도 있는거죠.
모든 보스가 그런건 아니지만 대부분의 보스는 아주 흥미진진한 전투를 보여줍니다.
적의 패턴을 파악하고 그 패턴에 맞게 회피하고 공격하면서 적을 공략하는 재미가 아주 훌륭합니다.
앞서서 적은 것처럼 일반적인 적을 죽이거나 보스를 죽이거나 하면 레벨이 오릅니다.
다만 이 게임은 일명 잡몹을 피해 갈 수 있기 때문에 오직 보스와 전투를 하기 위해서 무시하고 달리다가 레벨이 모자라서
스스로 보스난이도를 올리는 경우가 많습니다. 그렇기 때문에 성실하게 잡몹을 처리하면서 플레이를 하시는걸 추천드립니다.
피지컬이 좋은편이 아님에도 레벨을 올리고 패턴을 익히고 보스를 공략하는 것에 문제가 없었습니다.
상당히 재미있는 게임입니다. 구매 하시려는 분께서 강력한 적을 클리어하는 것에 재미를 느끼신다면 적극 추천드립니다.
처음 볼땐 뭐이리 게임이 비싸지~ 했는데
볼륨에 비해 매우매우 싼편입니다
하드코어한 난이도가 취향이신분들에게 추천드려요!
1회차 난이도는 뉴비인 저도 재미있게 할 정도로 좋았습니다.
초반에 힐템도 5개 주고 필드의 몹들도 천천히 하나씩 잡아가면 어렵지 않았고 어려운 부분이 있으면 그냥 생까고 지나가도 되니까 막히는 부분은 거의 없었습니다. 보스전도 연습하고 아니다 싶으면 좀 귀찮을 수 있지만 레벨업을 시켜서 하면 크게 어렵지 않게 클리어 가능했습니다.
2회차의 경우 필드 난이도가 상당히 올라가서 당황했지만 1회차 때 아이템을 잘 얻어놓아서 천천히 진행하니 크게 어렵지 않았습니다. 보스전의 경우 새로워진 패턴과 달라진 타이밍으로 새로 공략할 수 있어서 좋았고 특히 같은 보스지만 다른 보스처럼 느껴지는 애들도 있어서 좋았습니다.
아이템의 경우 각부류의 템들이 서로 시너지 효과를 줘서 연구하는 재미가 있었습니다. 전혀 쓸 일 없을 거 같은 템이 생각지도 못한 곳에서 빛을 발할 때도 있고 쓰레기 같은 템이 연구해보니 사기템이 되는 경우도 있습니다. 또한, 자신이 어떤 무기를 쓰느냐에 따라 템셋팅을 다르게 하고 그에 맞춰 보스를 공략하니 같은 보스여도 어떤 세팅을 하느냐에 따라서 다르게 즐길 수 있었습니다.
다만 아쉬운 점은 밸런스 상 어쩔 수 없는 거겠지만 성능이 애매해서 잘 안 쓰고 마이너해진 템들이 있다는 거네요.
정말 멋진 게임이야
특히 그... 개와 궁수의 하모니가...
쉽고 캐쥬얼하여 남녀노소 누구나 즐길 수 있습니다.

DLC가 나오고 꽤나 오랜만에 다시 플레이해봤습니다.
본 리뷰는 현재 나온 패치가 마지막 패치임을 감안하고, 더이상 수정이 되지 않는 것을 전제 삼아 작성했습니다. - 따라서 제작자님이 이 리뷰를 확인하시고, 게임을 패치하시거나 하시지 않으셨으면 합니다. 이 게임은 더 이상 패치할 필요가 없는 수작입니다. - 또한 스포일러가 함유될 수 있으므로, 읽으실 때 주의해주시길 바랍니다.
추가된 맵의 구성이 상당히 불합리한 구간이 많아졌습니다. 강제적인 회피가 강요되는 구간과, 길의 몹의 패턴이 꽤나 성가셔서, 사냥을 통해 길을 뚫는다는 개념이 아닌, 무작정 영체 이동을 통해 뚫고 가라는 느낌을 많이 받았습니다. 배치라던가, 몹의 공격패턴이 난잡한게 많이 아쉬웠어요.
하드모드에서는 몹 배치가 너무 난잡해졌습니다. 2회차에서 들를 필요가 없는 지역에 해골들이 무수히 있지를 않나, 떠다니는 해골이 4마리씩 배치되어 있거나. 아, 창든 해골 충돌 판정이 생겼던데, 의도하신걸까요? 기존에 달리던 플레이가 2회차부터는 제한됩니다. 많이 힘들네요.
새로 나온 무기들에서는 어느정도 각 보스 무기에 따른 특색이 주어지지만, 게임 시스템의 한계로 인해 평타에 약간의 이펙트가 추가되었을 뿐 그렇게 큰 다른 점은 보이지 않습니다.
중간 보스의 경우, 몇몇은 팔레트 스왑인 점. 하지만 이건 시간도 오래 걸리고, 중요한 보스도 아니였으니 넘어갑시다. 물론 잡으면서 고생 꽤나 했지만 재밌잖아요. 이거 읽는 다른 플레이어들도 이해해주겠죠. 기존에 있던 애들도 패턴이 꽤나 변했더라구요. 좀 맞으면서 싸울수 있었던 구버전에 비해 현재는 맞는다는 전제를 없애야 할 정도. 많이 어려워졌습니다.
보스들이 다양한 패턴을 보여주며 잘 구성된 이펙트를 보여주며 눈이 호강되는 반면, 플레이하는 입장에서는 정말로 힘듭니다. 게임에 HP라는 개념이 거의 없다고 봐도 무방할 정도. 영체 이동이 삑사리날 경우 원콤나는 패턴이 많이 생겼습니다. 히트앤런의 방식이 강제될 정도로 자율성이 떨어져요. 무조건 피하고, 빈틈일 때 한대씩 때린다. 아이워너 시리즈를 플레이하는 기분이였습니다. 하드코어한 플레이를 강조하는 게임이긴 하지만, 플레이 스타일이 강요되는 것은 그다지 좋은 기분이 아니였습니다. 회피가 최선인 게임이였네요.
다양한 액세서리가 추가되었지만 결국 이 게임에서 가장 중요한 것은 평타와 패링입니다. 블러드본에 상당히 유사한 이 게임은 마법이나 막기를 제외한 회피에 모든 것을 치중해야 하지요. 그렇기에 곳곳에서 아쉬운 점이 많이 생깁니다. 꽤나 다양한 마술과, 보조 아이템이 보이지만 실질적으로 사용할 수 있는 아이템은 너무나도 적기 때문이죠. 보스전에서 이러한 양상이 눈에 띕니다. 다음 작에서는 이런 점이 더욱 활용될 수 있으면 좋겠네요.
BGM은 정말로 좋았습니다. 음악과 게임 시스템이 1인 제작이실텐데도 이렇게 준수한 퀄리티를 내놓으신건 참... 죽어가면서도 음악 듣고 다시 할 마음 생기는 괴상한 게임.
기존에 부족했던 스토리를 보완하신것도, DLC에서 새로 추가된 이야기들도, 서비스로 넣어주신 보스들도 전부 플레이하면서 재밌었습니다. 두번째로 플레이했음에도 시간가는 줄 모르고 몇십시간이 금방 사라지네요. 마지막 패치라니 많이 씁쓸하면서도, 산 돈이 아깝다는 생각은 들지 않는 게임입니다. 재밌었습니다, 보이드 메모리.

몇가지 아쉬운 점이 보이지만, 수작을 넘어선 그 이상.
첫번째로, 무기에 특색이 적습니다.
보스를 잡아서 얻은 그람마르티스의 대검보다 초반에 얻을 수 있던 투핸디드소드가 더 좋습니다. 보스의 무기가 특수한 기능을 쓸 수 있다거나 해서 좀더 다른 식으로 가중치를 더했다면 좋았을지도 모르겠습니다. 다크 소울 3의 전기.. 같은 개념 말이죠.
두번째로, 마술의 비중이 적습니다.
교황을 깨고 나서 얻는 매직 스피어와 초반에 얻는 매직 애로우중 어느 것이 더 유리하냐에선 전 매직 애로우를 택하겠습니다. 좀더 딜레이가 적고, 세발을 연달아 쏘기에 데미지도 매직 스피어에 비해 뒤쳐지지 않습니다. 기본적으로 마술사를 플레이할 시에 후반에 얻는 악세사리의 비중이 크기에, 초반과 중반에서 마술로만 적을 상대하는 플레이는 하기 힘들었었습니다. 그렇다고 악세사리를 풀로 맞춘다 해도 눈에 띄게 좋은 데미지를 보여주지 않았다는 게 아쉽습니다. 보스를 순수히 마술과 회피로만 잡기엔 마술의 양이 부족한 점도 한몫 했구요.
세번째로, 하드모드의 특색이 보스에게만 적용된다는 점입니다.
회차를 진행함에 따라 추가되는 아이템이나, 달라진 몹의 배치 등을 기대했습니다만. 음.. 맵의 구성은 같고, 단 몹이 좀 더 쎄졌다는 점. 또한 획득하는 아이템이 그대로라는 점이 살짝 아쉬웠더군요. 물론, 보스의 패턴 변화에 대해서는 매우 만족합니다. 가령, 첫 보스인 인간형 보스의 경우 보다 다채로운 마술을 주로 쓰더군요. 사신 보스같은 경우 완벽히 새 패턴이 나온다는 점에서 정말 만족했습니다.
첫 리뷰라서 뭐라고 써야할지 잘 모르겠습니다. 일단 제가 기억하는 장점들을 나열해보도록 하겠습니다.
각색있는 OST.
기본적인 베이스는 Soul-like, 즉 소울 시리즈와 비슷합니다. 그것을 2D로 옮긴 느낌이죠. 가장 마음에 들었던 점은 역시 OST였습니다. 일부 보스 외에 모든 보스에 OST가 있고, 페이즈에 따라 변하는 음악들은 긴장감을 깃쫄하게 높여주고도 남을 정도였죠.
맵 디자인.
전체적인 맵 분위기는 어둡습니다. 게임의 분위기에 어우러지는 그 분위기를 맵 자체의 그래픽이 잘 소화해냈고, 그 구성 또한 좋았죠. 특정 지역을 지나면서 계속해서 이어지는 맵들과, 다리를 건너 나오는 수도. 그 수도의 한가운데에 있는 시계탑과, 다리를 건너서 나오는 대성당. 플롯이 자연스럽게 나열되어 있다고 해야 할까요. 그래픽은 IWBTJG때보다 더 발전되어서 죽어가면서도 주변의 맵을 살펴보면서 눈이 즐거웠습니다.
보스.
이 게임의 알파이자 오메가. 최종보스도 최종보스이지만, 최종보스의 바로 앞인... 이렇게 말하니 좀 복잡하군요. 마지막 인간형 보스, 라고 하죠. 이름없는 조사관. 한국 공식명은 잘 모르지만 일단 이렇게 해둡시다. 개인적으로 정말 즐기면서 했던 보스 배틀이였습니다. 2D 소울식의 PVP를 하는 듯한 기분이였죠. 상대도 내 공격을 피하고, 나도 상대의 공격을 피하며, 타이밍에 맞춰 총을 쏴 패리를 하고. 정말로 즐기면서, 그러면서도 죽으면서 계속해서 도전한 보스입니다. 물론... 최종보스 앞에서는 눈물 찔끔 싸며 몇십트를 하긴 했지만요.
전체적으로 보았을 때, 정말로 즐기면서 시간가는 줄 모르고 플레이한 게임입니다. 아직 덜 파헤친 요소도 많고, 더욱 도전해보고 싶은 마음이 가득하군요. 이 리뷰를 본 당신이 이 게임을 하면서 즐길 수 있기를 바랍니다. 아, 물론 스포일러가 함유된 평가이긴 하지만. 뭐 어떡하겠습니까. 하하.
Metroidvania RPG with Darksouls combat mechanics, Bloodborne guns, good atmosphere, music, and production values. Key issues upon initial glance is the severe lack of graphics options such as screen resolutions as compared to contenders such as hollow knight and Deadcells. The 20 dollars is also a steep fee for a game such as this. I recommend this if it was on a sale, but then again, for 20 dollars, not too shabby.
Edit* First time playing, game runs perfectly at 60 fps. However, upon subsequent play session, game lags and averages around 40 fps with noticeable input delay, animation slowdown, and stutters. These are signs of poor optimization. Would not recommend until performance issues are fixed.
