How I played:
I played the game in focus mode, where there is no timer but you are punished more severely for errors and have higher-complexity jobs - easy trade-off for me. There were still a few events in the game where you have to operate under a timer/under pressure, but they were few and far between. I have not tried frantic mode, but I know the jobs change a bit between the modes.

What I liked:
-The tactility and variety in complexity of the modules you fix and machines you use
-Achieving a sense of mastery with modules the more you fix them (becoming less reliant on the manual)
-Upgrading the shop short term and permanently through runs and customizing/optimizing for specific run goals
-The characters and factions you meet

My main gripes:
-Small errors can be very punishing. I had a few too many runs ended by a missed step, especially when I was getting more comfortable/looking at the manual less
-Some quests only become available later in a run. If you mess up said quest and die, it can take awhile to get another chance at it (this is where I faced the most grind, including messing up and dying/restarting before the quest even became available again)

Overall:
I very much enjoyed this game! I think the ONLY thing I wished was different was a shorter timeline between re-trying opportunities I previously failed. Otherwise, I thought this game was very well made and I enjoyed my time with it!

The game is nowhere near Steam Deck Verified, or Valve has lowered their standards a staggering amount. My wife and I were unable to get through the tutorial on Steam Deck due to the controls simply not doing what they were supposed to. This is the perfect example of how broken the Steam Deck compatibility system is.

That aside, due to either poor documentation in the grimoire or vehicle issues that are unbelievably difficult to notice, it feels like the game is actively trying to frustrate you. You'll believe you did a job by the book, literally, and ring the bell to find out how you did and more often than not, you're drowned in fees for negligence because you did x y and z wrong, or missed an issue entirely. None of this is intuitive or explained well so it just ends up being frustrating.

I played this game through to the true ending on the Steam Deck and really enjoyed it. I also cannot recommend it.

First, the controller support is janky as all hell. Placing the cursor on the object you want is practically impossible at times; I often resorted to using the touch screen, something I rarely use. Some objects that could benefit from the "fine movement" option seem to not have it implemented (and that feature is never tutorialized; it's left trigger).

Second, I experienced a number of gamebreaking bugs which required closing and restarting the game to resolve, losing all progress on the day. Notably, entire modules or other screens seem to occasionally decide not to be interactable. I had this happen several times with the shop. I also failed to get booted from the ship on triggering the anti-tamper alarm on several occasions, which effectively softlocks the game.

The game is fun, the mechanics are well designed, the world and art are compelling (though the writing occasionally needs a little tweaking), and the music is great (though it needs another song or two for the work day portions). So it's disappointing to not be able to recommend it due to its general brokenness.

For whatever reason, I love this damn game.

I love the art style. I love the story. I love Droose. The puzzles are....at times Monotonous, occasionally annoying, but also challenging, and do increase in difficulty. The thing I learned is dying and re-running is a necessary part of the game, and I like the randomization and differences of new runs.

I've only made it about 8 days in on my latest run. Just learned how to start to deal with reactor problems and not die every time.

Give this a go, it's fun.

Infelizmente o loop de gameplay não é satisfatório, o jogo funciona por ciclos, a cada 3 dias um desafio maior aparece e decide se a sua partida acaba ali ou não, até o terceiro dia as coisas seguem praticamente sempre do mesmo jeito, mesmo sendo roguelite, é uma repetição que não diversifica em eventos ou interações especiais, poucos upgrades permanentes tem efeitos notórios, e esses são os mais caros, levando muito tempo para serem adquiridos.

A buggy yet captivating rogue-like with a plethora of potential, constantly pushing the idea of a very tactile interaction and repair system. In time, you may find the gameplay repetitive - and it is - but you'll also get faster and more knowledgeable. Plus, the various faction quests you can experience along the way keeps things just fresh enough to keep you engaged. Screwing up is harsh though, and as the pressure mounts, it's harder to feel like you're staying on top of it all. Still a chunky enjoyable challenge, through and through.

I recommend it — but with a warning.

The repair work follows its own logic, and once you read the manual, it clicks. The first two quota cycles are manageable and a good way to learn the ropes.

Start on Focus Mode to remove the time pressure. Once you're comfortable, switch to Frantic Mode to earn faster and push your progress.

The permanent upgrades won't help you with repairs directly, but they reduce friction across the board — things like faster movement, a shield dome, quicker ship elevator, battery tools, and discounts. Small things that make runs less of a hassle.

The art style is fun. The NPCs are quirky and comedic in that cartoonish alien way. The lore is strong enough that an animated series based on it could genuinely work.

What may put you off:

This game being a RogueLITE, expect lots of repetitiveness.

Every quota (3 days) throws a curveball. New module, new instructions to look up, and if you misread the manual or get unlucky on a first attempt — you die and your progress resets.

I don't think it's unfair by design, but it feels punishing in the moment.

Quota 3 even has a "boss" — not a fight, but a special repair day where you work on your boss' hologram ship using modules you never see.

If you can accept that curve, there's a genuinely interesting game!

i really like the art style its like that kind of game where its hard enough to where its not going to make you rage quit .... looking at my broken keyboard... but it keeps me engaged, i like the fact there's a mode where you're in a rush and one where you can just take your time, in all honesty kind of inspired to open my own rocket shop, and get yelled at by a lard of squid! anyway a lot of reading, couple of YT tutorials and i recommend tbh
