I don't like the futuristic theme, music. I don't care for FMX mode.
But there is no denying that Trials Fusion has some of the best Extreme tracks in the series.
Also, the bike feel is a bit different then in Evolution and Rising, which makes this entry even more unique.
I feel like it's also the hardest (not counting Ninja tracks in Rising).
Definitely a must have for every fan of the series.

Honestly, I can’t really recommend Trials Fusion anymore. It’s a solid Trials game at its core, but ever since Rising came out, there’s just no reason to stick with it. The physics feel clunky, it’s way buggier, and the constant crashes, that happen like every 30 minutes, make grinding hard tracks a nightmare. If you're looking for a classic, go with Trials Evolution instead. It still holds up perfectly today

Trials is one of those games that doesn't look like much, isn't built very well, and really overuses gimmicky stuff, but under all that lies the single greatest pure-gameplay 2d platformer you can get. It doesn't show its charms well at first, but as the levels get harder, you have to learn and invest in playing well, using your momentum shifts and springs in nuanced intentional ways, and it becomes all about skillful traversal. It rewards that skill with even more tricky play, and [i]lots[/i] more content, in particular due to the genuinely fantastic player community of content builders.

Sure, it looks like a goofy motorcycle trick game, but it blooms fantastically with experience. Just take the concept of 2d platforming, make jumping and motion-control deep and rich skill-based actions, and then build the whole thing around that. Trials games offer many avenues to enjoy them, from sightseeing levels and cute gimmicks, to speed clearing (where even easy tracks often have lines that benefit from more advanced skills to get near the best times), to focusing on handling challenging obstacles, to pointlessly extreme levels of challenge that take actual [i]years[/i] of practice with the game. I personally don't play too far into that space, as it gets kind of silly. I'm content with how heinously challenging things closer around the "merely" Extreme tier tracks get :) Even so, I consider it positive that the gameplay is good enough to support that, both on core action and player investment. Plus you have level creation, which is a whole other area to experience the games, although players to enjoy your levels are far fewer nowadays (and Evolution makes distributing levels far more challenging).

I'd suggest Evolution and Rising as starting places for exploring the Trials series.

[b]Rising[/b] has the best total package and in-game level quality, [i]if it runs for you (MAKE SURE!)[/i] and doesn't get shutdown from its boneheaded online requirement. Rising also uses anti-cheat, further limiting its platform flexibility, and you must disable/block Steam Input, or all in-game button prompts become LS.

[b]Evolution[/b] has the best pure gameplay, and solid enough levels, but you only get user content from archives players pass around, and you can only find replays from video sites, as servers are long closed, severely limiting your ability to learn from others in-game. Evolution also jankily rolls two different Trials games together (Evolution and HD), drops their DLC expansions entirely (significant losses in both levels and custom level building), and does it poorly, as you are stuck playing through the weakest levels in each game sequentially, dragging out the somewhat poorer early game experience.

[b]Fusion[/b] has the worst in-game content [i]by far[/i], but the largest and most active community level archive and the [i]technically[/i] deepest gameplay. While Fusion's gameplay/feel isn't as good, the extreme depth it can be pushed to is notable, but goes to lengths that I'd personally call excess. Evolution and Rising both offer [i]extreme[/i] depth rich with play beyond most games, just Fusion goes even further down those rabbit holes, allowing tests of even more extreme-for-the-sake-of-extreme precision and nuance.

For any Trials game, get the complete edition. For Evolution, there's no option, as PC only got the weird HD+Evolution combo and none of the Xbox's DLC (a major loss, those jerks). For Fusion, you need all the DLC for objects used by custom levels. For Rising, you need the DLC to smooth out the poorly designed progression (try to do Trials University levels when they become available and follow the RedLynx contract series that walks you through the game from level to level, and you'll have far fewer unpleasant blockages as you go through content gates).

It's also important to note that Ubisoft has tainted all three games not just with their core corporate disability towards quality and good fun, but their clunky "Ubisoft Connect" DRM client, which will relentlessly pester you to re-enter your password for starting Evolution or Fusion (true even if you get the games directly through Ubisoft). It's a real shame Ubisoft still refuses to relent and just let Steam games be Steam games, even if it would breathe fresh life into so many of their products.

Speaking of strange support choices, Steam achievements were randomly added well after the whole series was essentially abandoned by devs and players, so the community percentages on all of them are comically skewed to the very few people who have booted up the game after mid-2025. It's important to note though that some achievements are truly annoying, and some outlandishly difficult, so achievement completionists should be wary. Fusion especially should not be played for achievements, as they revel in the worst things about the game (the devs cannot seem to help themselves using their level building tools to construct horrible minigames and other such challenges that just don't feel [i]good[/i]) and will be abusive misery to go through.

Again, don't let the jank and the clunky early experience put you off. These have some truly great gaming to offer, if you enjoy skill based 2d action, and the track-building community has contributed outstanding work that ought to be the centerpiece of the game.

Was an alright Trials game and used to play multplayer with the kids. Sadly, now Ubisoft has ruined it with their stupid Connect program that blocks your passwords, constantly fails, is unwanted on our hardware and is a total waste of time. Avoid this game, because it's not worth dealing with the terrible Ubisoft Connect requirements.

Das Spiel hat keine Lernkurve allgemein bringt es einem nichts bei. Entweder man kann es oder man kann es nicht. Wie hier Sprünge usw. richtig funktionieren wird einem nie gezeigt. Feedback hat man auch nicht.
Selbst wenn man eine Schwere Strecke schafft ist es nur Glück bzw. Zufall und hat nichts mit können zu tun.
Das gilt übrigens für die ganze Reihe inkl. Nachfolger.
Eigentlich schade denn das ganze macht schon spaß. Nur irgendwann wirds arg frustrierend und dann legt man es weg genauso wie 99,3% aller Spieler!!!

It has local multiplayer on PC. If you use rock candy Xbox 360 controllers, and they conflict, or one or more controllers are ignored, re-install drivers, use a different usb cable, and try a different usb port. Sometimes drivers conflict, and usb connections can be deceptive.

The enjoyment of this game is heavily undermined by the Ubisoft launcher. Mainly because it doesn’t remember login credentials, forcing you to enter your password every time you want to play. And keep in mind that this game is limited to 60fps. If you're used to higher frame rates, this may cause nausea. A lot of levels are extremely difficult to the point of feeling nearly impossible, making the completion of the Steam achievements practically unattainable.

Sinceramente, me costó algo comprarlo por los comentarios, y después de haberlo comprado todavía me sorprende más. En mi caso el juego me gusta muchísimo y es justo lo que buscaba. Hay tramos que es de locos, pero compensa los diferentes mapas que hay ya que los disfrutas. Es cierto por otro lado que hay 2 podríamos decir errores graves pero en cuanto a usabilidad del juego en sí; uno, que te obligue a pasar por otra plataforma, eso no tiene ningún tipo de sentido para los que queremos tener los juegos en Steam centralizados. Dos, tenemos que poner la contraseña de Ubisoft cada vez. Es muy molesto sinceramente, aunque compensa si el juego te gusta.

The game was good but getting it to work was a huge hassle, remove this unnecessary piece of software from the game please, no one is going to miss it.

Simply one of the most fun games ever made. While it's very minimal in mechanics and story, there is not a second spent playing it where I am not entertained. Respawns are instant, tracks are short, the few mechanics it does have, offer some shocking levels of depth and it has a banging soundtrack! Also this is one of the most fun games to achievement hunt in, as all the achievements are skill based challenges that add an extra level of satisfaction I have rarely found in any other game. My only complaint with the game is that the tutorials aren't that great at explaining some of the deeper mechanics, and you might need to look up a walkthrough to understand how to beat some of the later levels. I do however have some other complaints that have nothing to do with the game, but everything to do with Ubisoft. This game requires you to log into Uplay EVERY TIME YOU BOOT IT UP. It's just baffling and ridiculous that Ubisoft forces you to do that, and on top of that sometimes the servers will be slow and you'll have to wait for a minute or more if you want to upload your time to the leaderboards. You can at least skip that if you don't care about leaderboards so at least that's something. But genuinely despite Ubisoft being awful like usual I still recommend this game, the passion, love and creativity on display in this game is just incredible.

One of my favorite no wifi games of all time. put hundreds of hours on console, dope game.
