It was... okay but it just crashed way too much for my enjoyment, literally every chapter it would crash in the end, but at some point the crashes restarted the chapter so I could never save.
It was a super lazy game but the combat and cover system weren't terrible, just a really mediocre a buggy Gears of War clone with kind of an interesting mechanic that I never got to use properly.
With a challenging single-player campaign and unique multiplayer, this game is well worth the price of admission.

Probé el modo multijugador, que sí inicia, lo cual demuestra que no es un problema de incompatibilidad de hardware, sino del propio título.
Esto lo deja automáticamente injugable, y aunque pudiera funcionar, ya desde su lanzamiento fue señalado por sus controles toscos, bugs constantes, diseño repetitivo y pobre ejecución de sus ideas.

Acho impressionante como a gente compra o jogo pra ter ele certinho e legal. The game's broken at this point in time, at least for Windows 11. Probably maybe. When trying to load into a mission the game just crashes. So, yeah no. I don't recommend.

Hay buena variedad de armas, se consigue municiones facilmente y hasta puedes arrastras las municiones hasta a ti. También tenemos el lanzador que puedes formar un escudo o atraer cosas. Los jefes son variados aunque se repiten mucho y el esclavista es pesado de derrotar :(
La historia esta decente. La tierra es invadida, el prota y su compa deben rescatar la esposa y la hija del prota ante los invasiones y te dan una sorpresa con el planeta tierra.

I do like those generic, story-based, 7th generation cover-based shooters. And the story here is serviceable for a sci-fi action B-movie. It does kinda scratch that itch. But it's just too poorly executed to be recommended.
FIRST OF ALL, BEWARE: the game barely works on modern hardware because of compatibility issues or something. If you lower the textures, you can get it running (with random screen tearing still). But even so, it will occasionally crash when loading new chapters and checkpoints. And it doesn't just close: sometimes its frozen fullscreen completely overrides the computer and you can't even open task manager. I had to actually log off and log back in order to reopen Steam and the game, just to get back to where I was. And then it can happen again repeatedly when you die and load the same checkpoint. You have to have A LOT of patience with this one and it's not really worth it.
The gameplay is obviously a Gears of War ripoff and that's fine by me, but it's a little too much worse. The whole gravity gimmick is undercooked and definitely doesn't make up for it. There are just a handful of weapons, all with terrible aim and game feel (and you can barely see anything with all those particle effects). And there are even less enemy types (with very repetitive designs). Pretty much all of them are bullet sponges and the same couple of "bosses" are just thrown at you repeatedly.
I switched to easy halfway through the game, but it's so chaotic and poorly designed that you can barely get out of cover and are constantly out of ammo. Even on normal difficulty, finishing this game must be just stressful and unbearable. It doesn't feel exactly hard, but feels unfair and poorly designed - just not really fun and satisfying to push through the chaos.
So yeah, I obviously didn't expect a masterpiece from such a generic title, but this could totally still be my kind of jam. I did finish it, after all. But unfortunately, while I made it to the end, the technical issues along with the poor gameplay make it impossible to recommend without serious disclaimers.

A história do jogo até que é bacana e a amizada e companheirismo do Davis e Leo é bem legal. Gostaria de recomendar esse jogo, mas não dá.
O jogo em sí é até divertido. Tem algumas armas bem divertidas e cenários que podem ser destruído assim como os inimigos que podem ser desmembrados, o que é bem bacana e traz algo a mais para a gameplay.
Um dos motivos pra eu não conseguir recomendar é o fato dele ter muitos bugs, inclusive alguns não permitem você avançar na história e tem que resetar pro último checkpoint. Outro problema que nunca foi resolvido e nem será é problemas com hardware recente fazendo o jogo nem sequer iniciar. Outra coisa que me irritou muito foi a re-útilização de bosses com muito frequencia. Nas primeiras vezes era até divertido, mas depois da 3/4 ficou muito chato.
Eu consegui zerar ele no Linux com uns drop de fps com uma certa frequencia e tive que rodar ele atravéz do Gamescope pra evitar ele crashar ao iniciar.

This game was an absolute pain to get to run, it took me 2 hours to figure out how to get this run on modern systems. I made a 2025 guide on the discussion page to get this functional, so if you decide to buy this, there is a way to actually play it.
Lets start with the positives: The 3rd person cover shooting is good, while selection weapons isn't plentiful every gun does pack a good punch, headshots blow off heads and you can stun enemies at close range if you pop off quick shots at them to reposition, I really like this decision from the devs as it makes the combat a little bit tactical. Moving to cover to cover and sprinting forward to get to the next part of cover with that action camera when you run is really cinematic. Despite this game being a mid budget title the gravity mechanics work perfectly as intended so it wont be frustrating to use it. The low gravity can lift enemies from behind cover, and high gravity that is useful to pull things down and temporarily stun enemies. And some of the boss fights are actually really well done, it puts you in a big area with lots of different forms of cover with lots of ammo and gravity resupply and plenty of objects you can throw at the boss as you dodge his attacks. The initial idea of this game is pretty solid now lets go into the bad. I understand Saber Interactive at this period in time was a gameplay focused studio, and the publisher bandai namco wanted them to make a story based game like gears of war, so it was a recipe for disaster. But dear lord this story is god awful, the whole "aliens invading earth avengers style" is never explained or given context it just randomly happens, you don't know who the characters you play as are, things in the story happen so fast that nothing has any emotional weight to them, the dialogue in some of these cutscenes are such nothing burger of lines, you wonder if the writers have ever seen a movie in their lives. And that ending will piss you off as just as you think things cant get any more stupid the "twist" will make you say "then what was I doing the entire game?". The gravity stuff is cool as i said but its not used as much as it should, yes fighting on walls and ceilings are cool, but most of this game is just generic 3rd person cover shooting with no much else to spice things up. While there are some cool bosses, a lot are reused multiple times, I counted and you fight this one fat alien boss 8 times. You keep think things will get more exciting, but once you have played for couple hours you have seen everything this game has to offer till the end. Also if you are wearing headphones the audio mixing is horrible, as music and sound fx will be louder than the voices even if you change volume sliders, the audio sometimes meshes together. This is the epitome of junk food gaming, its dumb, loud, shoot bad guy and run forward. I wouldn't say its a bad game, there are some cool moments in here, but this is basically generic 3rd person cover shooter with a gravity mechanic and that's it. Unlike a game like Binary Domain that came out at the same time where its a 3rd person cover shooter but it has squad mechanics, a reputation system, multiple endings, various locations, player choices, entertaining characters, a lengthy story and cool action set pieces. While that game does have its flaws it took risks and tried new things. Inversion feels very safe and by the numbers. It goes on sale for $1.50 and for that price its worth playing if you want to turn your brain off and if you enjoy these type of games

It's an OK third-person-shooter that boils down to a generic copy of Gears of Way with some elements of Prey (original) and the Half-Life 2 gravity gun, but never fully lives up to the potential that combination could create. That said, if you're in the mood for a campy Gears clone from the 360-era, it might fit the bill.

Jogo muito bom porém INJOGÁVEL, se você não tiver processador com gráfico integrado será impossível jogar o jogo sem muitas modificações.
1: Se o jogo fechar após iniciar, então o problema é o jogo e não seu pc;
2: Se tentar jogar o jogo acima da resolução de 1440p, ele irá ficar tão instável que vai crashar;
3: Acima de 60fps também se torna instável o bastante para crashar.
Caso ainda assim queira jogar, vá até a comunidade pois lá tem pessoas que deram dicas de como tornar ´´Jogável``.

O jogo é muito bom, mecânica de combate bem parecida com Gears of War, afinal era bem popular e genérica na época. História é rasa mas ok para um jogo focado em ação, o diferencial está na destruição de cenário e física realista que consegue ser melhor das de jogos atuais, mecânica única do jogo a Gravidade é ótima até hoje, jogar seus inimigo pro ar ou transformar o teto em chão e vice versa, muito bom.

First - Immediately Consult PCGamingWiki before even considering picking this thing up. There are several crash bugs, and the UI breaks on Ultrawide monitors.
Second - This game is designed like it's meant to be played unironically. This... is not advisable. There's a very clever twist at the end of a very absurd story. Play this like a MST3K experience.
Third - If you can look past all of this, InVersion is, if nothing else, genuinely fun with it, if very ironically!
Nowadays you can pick this up for literally less than the price of most candy bars. At that price, if you a connoisseur of gaming garbage pile weirdness, then yeah, absolutely, pick this one up. It is a special brand of weird jank that you will absolutely enjoy!

So A lot of reviews warned me about getting this game but I didn't listen. Part of it is the fact that I'm not incredibly hard to please. I've never really played a cover humping shooter I didn't enjoy. Spec Ops: the Line, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Rainbow 6 Vegas, the Gears Series, Kane and Lynch, Army of Two, and Even Resident Evil 6. I liked em all. It didn't take a well crafted story, the tightest mechanics or even solid gameplay to please me. Generally if a game has some sort of atmosphere and fun-factor I'm along for the ride.
I got inversion for a little over $1. I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, but It wasn't even remotely fun. The gravity changing mechanics don't really feel innovative at all as much as they feel like scripted events.
Now maybe this isn't really a comprehensive review as I never beat the game, and maybe never will. So maybe I'm wrong about some things, maybe some things start making sense near the end, etc.
But finding all of that out isn't really worth trudging through this game any further.

Tenia mucha ilusión de jugar este juego otra vez después de 10 años, y ayer lo compré y NO PARA DE CRASHEAR, abro el juego, me meto en las opciones, crasheó. Empiezo el juego, disparo, avanzo 5 minutos y crasheó. Lo malos me agarran, me meten en una cueva, crashea. Peleo contra el primer jefe, gano, crasheó.
Probablemente no esta optimizado para Windows 10
Terminé pidiendo el reembolso ($1.19usd)
tarde 2 meses en acabar este juego y la verdad valio la pena los 16 pesos que costaba.

这就很尴尬了，我都忘记我当初为啥要买这款游戏，好像是在B站上面看到这款游戏的评论说剧情很神，所以我就买来想游玩一下。但是怎么说呢，游戏全是bug白屏加闪退，法力高超又无边。白屏问题在初玩游戏的一年后成功解决，首先就是游戏分辨率不能高，得调成1680x1050或者1900x1200。虽然画面比例看起来怪怪的，但是也总比顶着白色屏幕打游戏要好得多吧。另外关于闪退的问题就没招了，问题也只会出现在游戏加载的时候，加载失败直接退出游戏。不知道算不算是办法，进入游戏.exe的属性，找到兼容性，然后勾选“禁用全屏优化”和“以管理员身份运行此程序”，虽然游戏闪退的问题依旧会出现，但是比起之前的每次加载就闪退的情况来说，好了一下，起码加载游戏时闪退程度大概是三分之一的概率。也不知道是不是打了汉化的问题才会闪退，就尼玛离谱。想在网上找解决办法，但是关于这款游戏的讨论也很少，索性就不管了，闪退我就再重进。问题说的有点太多了，接下来说说游戏吧。
一进游戏的实际操作阶段，就是满满的战争机器味，TPS类战术游戏，操作方式不能说不像，基本上一模一样。不过画面风格倒是不像战争机器1终极版那样暗黑以及阴沉，重力反转的画面更加偏向柔和及多样的色彩搭配，多数场景也都很明亮，画面看起来很舒服。另外的游戏性其实也说了，操作方式沿袭了战争机器的设计，但是本作也加入了新的机制，就是重力链道具，可以通过操控重力的方式完成战斗、解密和获取道具，属于游戏的核心机制。同时游戏在战斗方面的设计也继承了战争机器的部分血腥感，虽然没有电锯枪处决这种爆浆画面，但是也有很好的断肢和流血效果，低重力下你还能看到漂浮的一团血液。武器方面有两种类型一种是兽人的武器他们的武器风格较为粗糙，另一种是高科技武器，外观更加赏心悦目，同时自带燃烧效果，武器种类不算太多，毕竟流程很短。同时游戏还有很好的场景粒子破坏效果，典型的就是用机枪狂扫，射烂一栋大楼的画面，感觉相当爽。还有就是进入无重力区域战斗时，整个场景的破坏碎片都会随机漂浮在空中，真的像是在外太空的感觉。还有就是游戏里会有反重力通道，一旦踩上去，就会将人从原本水平的地面，转到垂直90度的墙上进行战斗，这种从垂直地面看向水平地面的看去的感觉就很神奇，设计的很棒，不是一般游戏能体会到的。不过这里也吐槽一下，本作的boss战设计比较敷衍，基本上都是提高难度的精英怪，而且还重复利用，一个精英怪平均出现两场boss战。尤其是那个死胖子，出现了起码三次，就离谱。而且最终boss也很菜，毫无挑战性可言。只能说制作组经费短缺，没办法。但是后面的小男孩建模居然也偷懒，导致我直接误判以为光头死了，谁让制作组把被救男孩皮特和后面集中营的小男孩脸模用的是同一个啊，而且都戴帽子，我以为是同一个，还以为光头遭遇不测皮特又被抓回来了呢，不过后面对比才明白，一个短袖一个长袖，不是同一个。服了。
再说说说剧情方面，其实一开始城市被入侵之后，整个世界都沦陷在战争中，但是主角还在寻找心心念的女儿。我就知道这是一个找女儿的游戏，但是我没有料到主角竟然直接杀穿敌方老家，还世界一个和平（虽然这个世界对于他们来说也无所谓）而且最后也没有找到女儿。某种程度上来说其实是找到了，不过已经死了。而且还是在结尾通过里奥口中得知的，也是在最后我才明白里奥所说的陪在戴维斯身边的理由就是要让侵略者血债血偿。不过很可惜，戴维斯直到最后也不知道自己的女儿早就死了，但戴维斯也没法知道，他也消失了。就算知道这个世界不是地球又怎样呢，对于戴维斯来说已经无所谓了。
其实抛开游戏的战斗内容，单说剧情的话其实不算是神作，它的确给出了一个有趣的设定，这里不是地球，而是类似穹顶的封闭培养皿。设定很有趣却有很多东西压根没有解释，鲁塔多人为何要侵略人类，那些不同的穹顶是谁设计的，无人机从何而来。所有的问题都得不到解释，就算是想通过游戏内对话了解也是没用的，因为鲁塔多人压根连一句完整的话都说不了，就更别提获取有用的信息。而且游戏的过场动画是真的割裂，射击五分钟，播片两分钟，非常零散，没办法让玩家很好的沉浸下来。就算不在过场动画里面提供信息，那也可以采取在游戏场景放置文字信息让玩家收集，可是都没有。我只能说游戏本身素质虽然不高但是设定有趣，如果将剧情设计再打磨强化可能就不会像这样冷门了。
最后，恭喜通关游戏，总算是打完了，花费7.2h，游戏不能说好，也不能说差，整体略显平庸，但有我印象深刻的场景，不是看到世界的真像，而是不知道女儿已经死了，却依旧坐在沙发上发呆出神的戴维斯，很痛心的画面。

Inversion foi claramente a base do jogo Gears of War. O jogo tem um início muito bom, que chega a ser empolgante. O jogador percebe que tem uma estória muito bem estruturada no game e seu interesse vai aumentando a medida que o jogo avança.
A Terra foi invadida por alienígenas e o personagem principal sai em busca da filha, raptada pelos invasores. O enredo consegue manter o interesse por longas horas.
Infelizmente, a partir da metade os problemas começam:
1 - Mesmo jogando no nível médio, Inversion se torna difícil demais e só é possível continuar usando um trainer. Alguns níveis continuam sendo difíceis mesmo com o uso do trainer. O game fica totalmente desbalanceado.
2 - Passa a haver uma crônica falta de munição, o que só pode ser resolvido, mais uma vez, com o uso do trainer. A essas alturas você já está seriamente inclinado a desistir, uma vez que está se mantendo no jogo artificialmente, com ajuda de recursos externos.
3 - O jogo fica extremamente repetitivo. Todos os níveis tornam-se meras variações de confrontos com bosses anteriores.
Quando comecei a jogar, imaginava: este jogo vai ser nota dez. Lamentavelmente, os desenvolvedores perderam completamente a mão e estragaram um jogo que poderia ser brilhante e marcado época. Não foi à toa que acabou esquecido.

Once you jump through a few hoops to get the game even functional (ultrawide is possible), get beyond the awful start, and commit to immediately skipping all the cutscenes, there’s some fun here. It’s a Gears of War clone, except sometimes sideways or upside down. The final act is awful though. Terribly designed mini bosses get thrown at you with extreme frequency. Your AI bro at least isn't completely useless.

Pésimo. Tengo una Rx7600 y el juego solo me deja jugar el prologo, pasado el prologo se cierra solo. No se que tal va en otras gráficas, pero creo que con la que tengo debería ir joya, ya que el juego no es nada exigente. Debe ser mala optimizacion o alguna mrd de esas.

I've tried all the fixes I could find online and none worked for me.
Basic cover shooter / Gears of War clone. Mediocre gameplay; harder than it needed to be. Voice actors did their best with the horrible writing. Enemy story line was kind of interesting, but the player protagonist story line was one big mess. I felt joy after seeing the credits roll because I knew I wouldn't have to endure any more pain.
Almost forgot--You have to play this game with Steam in offline mode otherwise it crashes when the brightness settings pop up. Even then it will still crash if you go into the audio options.

Inversion es un TPS con coberturas similar a Gears of War, en el que debemos controlar a nuestro protagonista Davis, que tiene la tarea de hallar a su hija quien cree que fue raptada por unos monstruos que invadieron la raza humana. Junto con nuestro compañero, Leo, nos abriremos paso a tiros para impedir que estos monstruos dominen la tierra.
Puntos Positivos
+ Lo mas destacable del juego son las acciones de dominacion de gravedad. Podremos lanzarles piedras u objetos a los enemigos...
+ Duracion: para ser un juego lineal, pasillero "sin vuelta atras" sus 9 horas son correctas.
+ Su calidad visual es aceptable
+ Los jefes y enemigos estan muy bien
+ Variedad de armas
+/- La historia esta buena, cuenta con giros de trama, pero se queda corto en explicar ciertas cuestiones.
Puntos Negativos
- Muchas veces tu compañero caerá en combate y tiene un limite de tiempo para que lo reanimes. Cuando tu caes, es insta death, no te puede reanimar tu compañero. Imperdonable.

Gameplay is fine but gets really repetitive as you soon realize that you're fighting the same three enemies for the entire game. The last saving grace could be co-op if it was still available, as GameSpy shut down years ago. If you're really curious about this game wait for a major sale, but you're probably better off just playing something else because of all the crashing. My fix for the game isn't guaranteed for everyone, so be mindful of that if you bother with this game.

Pretty good Gears of War clone. The gameplay is quite similar and the gravity mechanics give it a new perspective to the combat.
It has some problems though:
* While the story can be somewhat entertaining, the characters and/or writing is mid
* The game is not that well balanced for singleplayer (your AI companion doesn't help that much and the later levels throw wave after wave of enemies or have big bosses that can kill you with a few hits) -> for this reason I'd recommend playing it with someone in co-op
* It can feel a little repetitive sometimes
But all in all, it's still a solid game and if you like this type of TPS you should check it out.

Although rough around the edges , this game is quite fun to play for any Gears Of War fans . Multiplayer is dead by the way , so I am giving my opinion based solely on the single player campaign .
Unreal engine 3 sigue siendo hermoso y el juego entretenidisimo con buenos escenarios y buena accion y linda historia que hoy (2023) valoro mas que en su epoca.
Es un juego de disparos en tercera persona bastante entretenido, copia un poco la formula de Gears of War (como todos los juegos de su tiempo) pero tiene algo de personalidad propia; sin ser un juego malo, es lo suficientemente bueno para pasar el rato si no tienes nada que hacer o quiere jugar algo diferente a lo que se ofrece actualmente.
Lo bueno:
- Tiene modo historia.
- Es un juego para 1 a 2 jugadores en modo historia; multijugador local y online aunque los servidores están cerrados para el online desde hace tiempo.
- La historia es interesante (a partir de la mitad del juego).
- Los escenarios son variados y las zonas anti-gravedad le dan un toque fresco a la jugabilidad.
- Los gráficos son más o menos buenos tomando en cuenta que tiene mas 10 años el juego.
- Cualquier tarjeta gráfica igual o superior a una GTX650 Ti Boost de 1 Gb de memoria, te permitirá jugar con los gráficos al máximo.
- Las armas se sienten bien, pero la "Gravitylink" es la mejor y cambia por momentos de manera grata el juego, al dar mas opciones para eliminar a los enemigos.
- La dificultad esta bien.
- Pesa poco y se descarga rápido.
Lo Meh.
- La historia es interesante desde la mitad del juego. Ya que el ritmo es lento y las revelaciones empiezan a partir de la mitad del juego.
- Los controles les falto pulir un poco más ya que en zonas anti-gravedad pueden ser confusos y en las batallas sentirse torpes por momentos.
- La variedad de enemigos es muy poca, hay como 12 diferentes enemigos entre enemigos regulares y jefes.
- La variedad de armas es muy poca, hay como 2 rifles, 2 escopetas, 2 lanza-misiles, 2 ametralladoras y 1 tipo de granadas; y nada más, salvo 1 o 2 que dejan algunos jefes después de ser derrotados.
- No es necesario aprender a utilizar todas las armas, ya que con 1 ó 2 bien puedes pasar la mayor parte del juego.
- Las granadas para lanzarlas se deben elegir como si armas principales se trataran, lo cual puede volver un poco difícil de utilizarlas o volverlas inútiles.
- En general a los personajes no son memorables; tanto principales, secundarios y enemigos les falto carisma, son muy planos y genéricos. Supongo que por el tipo de historia y querer copiar al Gears ó falta de tiempo en el desarrollo.
- La jugabilidad por momentos se vuelve algo monótona pero las zonas anti-gravedad ayudan a variar.
- Ya no hay continuación y la historia se quedo en limbo.
