So bad that it's good. I got it solely due to the fact that Mickey Rourke did the voice acting for the bad ass Chuck Norris'ish (RIP CHUCK) protagonist. A trip down the memory lane tbh. Felt like a kid again, aimlessly shooting down the bad RED commies and not giving two ♥♥♥♥♥ about the story and why my guy is there in the first place. Total GOAT ♥♥♥♥. LOL

If you wanna have some fun, laughs and hear Marcinko's poetry, go for it! But at a really reasonnable price (like during sales) because that's the only thing you'll like, besides the finish moves, properly done, to be fair.
Other than that: it's poorly optimized, ugly, the gameplay is ''riveting'', the music isn't bad but generic and repetitive, too short and the multiplayer is empty (I might give it a proper shot if I find someone to experience the pain haha) and above, its difficulty is frustrating.
Little reminder: it was released in 2009; this same year got great FPS games such as Killzone 2, Battlefield 1943, Borderlands, Left 4 Dead 2, F.E.A.R 2 and of course, Modern Warfare 2.
Again, and with all due respect: play it with friends to laugh out loud.
Otherwise: just don't do it. Unless, you want to laugh on your own... it's kinda worth it... especially at 2 euros.

This game is a great send off of cheesy 80s like action movies. The dialog is hilariously corny. I don't know if it is intentional or not, but it does not matter, it's very funny.

If you can fix the stuttering issue that will happen if you got a keyboard plugged in (unless you install a fix online) then this game will give you a bit of enjoyment for a couple hours.
It's not a great game but it will keep you somewhat entertained for the entire runtime. I recommend getting it during a sale if possible.
Funny voice acting and a pretty barebones, short shooter based on a book series that begins as a true story but then pretty becomes a self-insert military power fantasy. (Not really making a joke look up the books and you'll kind of see what I mean)

I cant approach the very first enemy in the game to execute him, i relaunched the game 4 total times. It crashes every single time. I cannot play this game. I wish steam was good people like GOG
gog gives you a 30 day refund even if you beat the game they write that. Meanwhile steam is like that skinny weasely guy from the MUMMY

MEanwhile if i send a buddy a screenshot he recieves the full 4.4mb uncompressed screenshot. And steam stores it on their servers forever..free.. Rogue Warrior é muito ruim. Acabei de zerar o game e ele é extremamente curto (menos de 2 horas). É um jogo que tenta ser uma comédia e não se leva a sério, o que por si só não é um problema, mas acabou sendo mal executado.
A melhor parte do game é o protagonista: ele é ok, tem uma boa dublagem em inglês e tem algumas falas engraçadas. Vale também citar que os créditos após zerar a campanha são até que divertidos, mas todo o resto é horrível.
A história é super simples e rasa, a gameplay é péssima, os gráficos são extremamente datados, há muitos bugs e o jogo trava toda hora. No geral, foi uma experiência miserável, principalmente por conta dos bugs.

Edit: Since originally posting my review I've had a change of heart. A thumbs-up on Steam means that I could look a fellow human being in the eyes and honestly recommend that he play [i]Rogue Warrior[/i]. I can't. Look, I enjoyed this game, and had fun for the reason(s) explained below. But no, 95% of people should not bother playing this.
This game is a 5/10 that gets my thumbs up (edit: now rescinded) only because it's funny. The main character is voiced by Mickey Rourke and constantly throws jr. high insults at enemies, calling them commie ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and telling them to suck his big hairy balls, etc. If you still have the sense of humor you did when you were 13 like I do, the game is two dollars and is over in 3 hours, and will make you laugh. Go for it.

Had to download a .dll file from a chinese guide so the game would run without constant stuttering and unplug my second monitor because the game doesn't capture your mouse and would minimize itself when clicking after your mouse wandered on another screen.

Ни в коем случае не покупайте этот кал, он в целом не работает.
Геймпад не коннектится, всю игру какие-то статтеры, раз в 10 секунд он сворачивается на рабочий стол и сам разворачивается. По итогу эта ♥♥♥♥♥ мне повешала комп в ноль, и был вайб, что сейчас вылетит синий экран (классический заевший звук перед пиздецом).
Все это за 10 минут игры. В целом вопрос почему это в стиме при полной НЕИГРАБЕЛЬНОСТИ

This game is short as hell its like 2 hours long and they charged full retail 60 USD for this t,urd back in the day, not the worst fps game ever or one of the worsts but still pretty bad lol. Apparently Bethesda tried making their own Call of Duty multiplayer series so they got the guy who was the literal founder of the Navy Seals Richard Marcinko to star in their game. The multiplayer is dead as hell, even at full price at 5 dollars you are being ripped off, get this on sale if you are honestly THAT curious lmao. The game crashes so you are going to have to look up how to prevent that, the way I did it was I changed the compatibility to one of the versions of Windows Vista to not crash but it still ran kinda a,ss. The game in general feels like a self insert action fantasy for Richard Marcinko. The game wasn't hard honestly I beat it on its hardest with Marcinko cursing along the way. There is a cover shooting mechanic, it's no where as good as like Gears of War which came out before this so there is no excuse for the game being this poor. Also there is stealth but you can run up to enemies and kill them and not make any noise which you're not supposed to be able to do in stealth sections in games.
The only reward you get out of this game is its infamous rap song which plays at the end

For some reason you can reduce (but not eliminate) the insane stuttering by *unplugging your keyboard*, but it's still going to run like crap and constantly minimize itself. Save yourself the money and time and just look up a video that has the main character's quotes in it.

Feels super clunky for its age, the shooting kind of sucks, its storyline is shorter than a Sunday evening, AND the game even somehow runs worse than it looks. Its still worth a play-though anyway just for the out of pocket jokes and straight up horrible one liners that the main character delivers throughout the game.

This game is stupid. It's memetically stupid. Seriously, we're talking pant's on head levels of stupid here. That said, you definitely buy this game and play it.
This game lets you step into the boots of ♥♥♥♥ Marcinko, apparently a real person with ties to Seal Team Six's founding. I think the ♥♥♥♥ in the game is best described as the Navy Seal copypasta if the Navy Seal copypasta were a person, a person who might be in on the joke or might just have no self awareness. ♥♥♥♥ kills people and swears. Whatever other qualities the man may possess are not on display in this game.
For what it's worth, there is a story and it's completely baffling. It's 1986 and the Soviets have built a foolproof missile defense system and they've managed to do this in complete secrecy by outsourcing it to the North Koreans. It's not kept secret enough though because Uncle Sam gets wind of something happening and sends in the Seals to go on a killing spree and then blow everything up.
I don't think there's a single aspect of that plot that doesn't raise questions. And while these questions may have answers I doubt you'll still care to hear them after the first time you watch Marcinko knife a commie in the balls. Well, unless you're a communist yourself, anyway.

So the major strengths of this game are ♥♥♥♥ Marcinko swearing like a sailor while running around killing communists and it's a bit difficult to explain why it's so engaging, but the instant you experience it you'll get it. There is gunplay and explosives, which are mostly acceptable, but the real star of the show is the the takedowns. Simply walk up to an enemy press the button and you're treated to an animation of ♥♥♥♥ ending that enemy in lavish spectacle. There's actually a fair number of these animations, and there was some effort put into making them context sensitive depending on what angle the player approached from and whether the enemy was alerted or not.
Unfortunately, these efforts weren't enough and the animations end up being pretty jarring as both player and npc are suddenly snapped to new positions to let the animation play.
Fortunately it's absolutely hilarious. The awkward jump cut to the gleefully sadistic takedown followed by ♥♥♥♥ just kind of standing there aura farming, often while being shot at by other enemies, and then finally a jumpcut back to regular play. It's hard to explain, it's one of those things where the editing is what makes if funny.
This is not a very long game, but that's also a strength. The final corridor before the last cutscene was frustrating enough that it had me about to get upset, this game knew exactly when to end. Furthermore, it's cheap enough now to justify an impulse buy. Pick it up, have a few laughs, put it down.
Better than Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 campaign.

Total garbage unable to play all it does is freeze every seconds
Not the worst game I have played but not gonna recommend it even for it's low price these days. It's an ultra short and ultra basic shooter with clunky movement, stiff animations and braindead enemies that have a reaction time of a fly and can track you through walls. But fortunately the game is slow and easy enough so I did complete it in ~2 hours instead of quitting within 10 minutes as I usually do with games like these.
You have standard millitary shooter weapons that all act more or less the same, a stealth takedown ability and night vision goggles which you will never use. You walk slowly, peek corners and shoot enemy fodder soldiers, that's all there is to it. Oh and you cannot jump, so that's fun...
The game doesn't take itself seriously and features more swearing than an average Call of Duty lobby from 2009 but there is absolutely zero thought behind it. So it never really feels funny or clever.

Probably my favorite bad game, a [i]kusoge[/i] delicacy even, thanks to Mickey Rourke voicing the main character with so many expletives it's actually really funny. The game itself is a very generic, crappy military FPS where the campaign can be finished in 2 hours, so at least it doesn't overstay its welcome. It also has a perfunctory multiplayer that nobody plays. I'd say it's best to watch a playthrough on YouTube - I'm partial to [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmdILE4EIns&list=PLrekaHLD2rhYehngs_IE0OwRTtyPq6Vpl]Chip and Ironicus' lets play of it[/url] - but I eventually bought the game myself because I found watching it hilarious. Your own mileage may vary.
It's interesting to note that the main character, Richard Marcinko, was a real-life US Navy specops guy who founded SEAL Team Six and achieved some notoriety in the military for his actions. Apparently, his temperament in the game kind of matches his real life behavior; according to accounts he actually swore [i]more[/i] than his game depiction does. I'm pretty sure he didn't go on any incredibly visible, non-stealthy rampages like in the game, though. Speaking of which, it had a troubled development lasting three years which involved a change of developer and change of genre halfway through, which helps explain why it's...not great.
A very bland and short FPS made entertaining by the swearfest voice-work of Mickey Rourke, the end credit swear rap song is a fun end game reward.
Note: unfortunately a bit glitchy with iron sights often stuck on and the game glitching back to desktop.

Lo compré porque es barato y los estudios (Rebellion y Bethesda) han hecho juegazos, así que no creía que fuera tan malo.
Y no lo es, es un juego simple, corto (2 horas sin ir muy rápido), pero lleno de acción y entretenido.
El doblaje es una maravilla, lleno de tacos y una voz horrorosa. Me reí bastante de lo malo que es. No sabía si era así de malo a propósito, pero el rap de los créditos finales (una joya) me convenció que si.
Tiene algunos fallos técnicos, pero eso no es problema del juego, sino de que es muy viejo.
No es un buen juego, pero tampoco malo. Por un par de euros que cuesta hoy en día, es una buena opción si quieres jugar un juego de acción directo, al grano, y con un protagonista con el que te ríes bastante.

O jogo não possui nem 2 horas de duração, isso jogando tranquilo no modo normal.
O jogo em si é frenético, é um clássico anda atira em tudo, a IA é incrivelmente burra, ela corre em cima de você para na sua frente e atira.
se você não tem um inglês bom não irá entender a historia pois não tem se quem uma legenda, nem mesmo em inglês.
O jogo pode apresentar alguns bugs perincipalmente em hardware mais recente, tive alguns problemas nas primeiras 2 fases, da terceira para frente rodou liso, o jogo possui 8 fases no total, você demora no máximo 20 minutos em cada.
Se optar por jogar recomendo remapear os controles, pois a Rebellion mapeou os controles com os olhos fechados.
Em si o jogo é legalzinho, você é praticamente um chuck Norris, as cenas matando na faca são a parte mais legal do jogo.
Peguei em uma promoção por 2 ou 4 Reais não lembro, então diria que a experiencia foi interessante apenas, mas pagar mais que isso jamais recomendaria.
Fantastic game. Fully in on the joke but also doesn’t overdo it. Enjoyable to play even if not too varied. Doesn’t overstay its welcome, I finished it in under 2 hours. If you buy it for a price of a can of beer it’s really worth the money. Much better than I expected.
Oyun 2009 yapımı olmasına rağmen tekrardan oynanabilecek durumda bana kalırsa. Vuruş hissiyatı çağın çok ötesinde hiç yok :) Düşmanın ölüp ölmediği konusunda kararsız kalabiliyorsun. Canın sıkılıyorsa çerez niyetine oynayabilirsin. Zaman geçirmek için alınabilir. Oyun 8 bölümden oluşuyor 10-15 dakikalık bölümler şeklinde. Normal şartlarda 1.30 - 2 saat te bitirilebilir. Le jeu avait l'air sympa, en mode FPS bourrin.

First of all this game doesn't work on my windows 10 computer so i had to play this game on my steam deck.
I played this back in the days on the xbox 360. It was bad then and it still very much still is. If the shooting wasn't so terribly it would probably fall into the "So bad it's good" category but the gameplay really is that terrible. Every single level follows the same format. Optional stealth for half the level which then turns into loud combat regardless of how well you stealthed the first part.
The absolute best part about this game is ♥♥♥♥ Marcinko spouting immature garbage one liners for the entire game and honestly this entire part more than warrants a playthrough regardless of lack of quality of the game just because the one liners truly is something to behold.
Bad, but if your pc runs it well or you have a steam deck. Give it a go on sale regardless.

Richard "Demo ♥♥♥♥" Marcinko is one of those guys who has a lot of talk, but can actually sprint it, not just walk it. Whether or not he is a psychopath or a good person is entirely up to one's own political beliefs, genuinely. Marcinko himself is a contentious and yet, the still highly regarded father of SEAL Team SIX. Everything started with him. The beards, the jock-like culture, German H&K guns, the cult of media personalities surrounding SEALs, the drinking, the hard training, everything.
It is hilarious that SEALS are known for immediately publicizing their once clandenstine careers, but it all comes back to their origins. When Marcinko was an UDT sailor in Vietnam and eventually in Team TWO, he became the face of the tip-of-the-spear operations for the American coalition and allies during the war. "Demo ♥♥♥♥" and "Sharkman of the Mekong Delta" were all names that, while they sound like he could have given them to himself, were actually chosen for him by invisible hand of sensational war journalism.
In his early career, Marcinko was known as "The Geek", a radio signalman who only went into special forces (or SPECWAR, as the US Navy designates it and thus, Marcinko as well) some years later. "The Geek" was the type of sailor who polished even the bottom of his boots and despite toeing the line at first, he quickly became a man who would go on to lead one of the most controversial military formations of the modern era. He also later would defraud the US Military and go to prison for 21 months, effectively ending his military career.
Regardless, Marcinko is actually responsible for the zeitgeist of modern military media in so many ways. Steven Seagal spent his entire life pretending he was someone like Marcinko (Ironigally, Marcinko served with a guy the Teams with a very similar name) and you may not believe this at first, but what if I told you, Marcinko is the reason we have Metal Gear Solid?
Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear series draws heavily from films and books. The most obvious being Escape From New York and The Rock. Well, did you know that the SEALs in the latter mentioned filmed, among them was a former Seal who served with Marcinko? So already, we now know why SEALS are so prominent in media consciousness, even before the famous Bin Laden raid.
Richard's autobiography "Rogue Warrior", which this game has absolutely ♥♥♥♥ all to do with, was actually read by the English localization specialist for Metal Gear Solid to get a grasp on appropriate jargon. But it gets weirder. By coincidence, one of the SEALs had the codename Snake. However, Kojima likely got this code name from Escape From New York instead, which is more obvious for those who have played MGS2.
But wait, MGS2? Dead Cell? Oil Rig Simulations? SPECWAR operators testing base securities? Yep, Marcinko did all of that, he started all of that. And it isn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ either, it can be hard to get a copy of the original book because it has repeatedly been under CIA scrutiny time and time again.
"Snake Eater" was a term, coined by then American president JFK, in reference to Army Green Berets, who Solid Snake and Big Boss were. But it was actually Marcinko, in his eternal rivalry with Green Berets (He deliberately built Team SIX in a way to be more mobile and more flexible than US Army Spec Ops) appropriated the term for his own men.
OKay, okay, hear me out... Fulton recovery from Peace Walker and Phantom Pain? Guess who was the FIRST human being to ever successfully conduct a test run with a fulton recovery? Yep, Richard Marcinko. In his book, which predates Peace Walker and PP by decades, he even mentions that one of the intentions of the fulton recovery system was to "evacuate tranquilized HVTs for extraction".
Absolutely wild. After his tenture in the SEALs, Demo ♥♥♥♥ started RedCell and you guessed it, tested the security capability of American and NATO allied bases, (specifically Italian), and in cooperation with German divers, did a simulated oil rig raid.
Clearly, Call of Duty took huge pages from Marcinko's book. Literally. In MW2, the oil rig raid is almost identical to the sim in the book. Even the original Modern Warfare's shipboard operation was very similar to seize, board, seizure and search operations conducted by early SEAL operatives.
In the end of COD4's campaign, you get a photograph of the cast with "Doom on you, Mr Tango" scribbled in the corner. "Doom on you" is a catch phrase coined by Marcinko during his time in Vietnam, his phonetic-transliteration of a Vietnamese phrase meaning "go ♥♥♥♥ yourself".
So, why exactly is Marcinko the bedrock of modern counter-insurgency, counter-terror units and literally is the man who brought the world of post-Cold War special military operations into the public consciousness? It might have to do with the fact that he, once again, defrauded the US Government for tens of thousands, stole equipment and did outrageously illegal things (often against fellow service members) with almost no accountability, profited immensely from all of it and uhh, yeah.
You see, SEALs have changed little from their original vision, but a lot in their execution. Now they are just as 'bloated' as Marcinko had hoped would not happen, in terms of red tape and yet, units like Red Squadron in Team SIX were murdering people with hatchets, executing civilians and committing many crimes that can be more or less stated to be blatant disregard for the rules of war. As the US Navy put it, Marcinko's behavior throughout his career was full of "conduct unfitting of an officer", Redcell might have also kidnapped civilian personnel during base-busting drills and ended up torturing them, basically.
So yeah, it doesn't help that to civilian eyes, his actual words throughout his books come off as completely racist, unsympathetic and devoid of human empathy. Specifically with how he frequently belittled those of Asian and Middle Eastern descent. After a really high-speed, cowboy experience in Vietnam for two tours, he spent a significant amount of time in Cambodia, instructing clandestine forces and helping facilitate DoD officers, politicians and other military personnel in enjoying presence of prostitutes, which Marcinko also partook in. On the daily. Ordering human beings like roomservice. He was married with kids during all of this.
Despite everything, one must recognize that Marcinko's ideology, beliefs, veneration for the Biblical Old Testament God and his wrathful ways, his adherence to archaic warriors ethos and etc, are character theatrics to help promote his businesses. But they were, at one point, merely how everyone in his time and military branch acted, holding closely these beliefs of great superiority over an inferior enemy and ignoring the fact that terrorizing an insurgency just makes that insurgency tremendously larger, more motivated and justified in their own line of thinking.
Regardless, I think everyone should read his book and understand that military personnel of this caliber are professionals first, patriots sometimes and not all of them come back broken, grieving lost souls. Sometimes these people come back and they just get right into making money. The world is not a pretty place and really, the cutthroat corporate world differs little from the detatched nature of officers and their enlisted men. Marcinko has the distinction of being an enlisted man first through his actual warfighting career, but even he knows that an officer has to do the things the enlisted cannot. It is all politics and its a mess. ANd in the end, Marcinko got burned by the fire he once learned to master.
So what exactly is this game?
Its a cluster goat-♥♥♥♥, as Marcinko would say. Marcinko in this game is 100% accurate, he actually talks and thinks this way. The plot may be fiction, but this literally is who Demo ♥♥♥♥ was. Take that as you will.
