Best game of all time and thats not even a joke. The game is so good and even challenging which makes it even better, it has a good story and amazing levels. TOP 10 games in all of history. Its too underrated and it should be more popular.
Maybe a little too far back in this dev's catalogue, I enjoyed Super Kiwi a lot but this definitely lacks the polish, playability and experience behind their later games. It's super cheap and short but it's not really worth any of your time or money, there's hundreds of better platformers you could choose from.
add the souls like tab to this because omg i spent an hour trying to beat this game and most of it was the boss fight and the one lava laser level

toree 2 is so much better than 1. The tight platfroming you need to do here is great 1 just gets increasing frustating to collect the stars here none of them are hidden and are too far off the beaten path. music is great esspecially the 4th level song had me pause the game and just vibe first game had acceceptable music but here there are a few songs here that will have you wiggling your finger. but there is less [spoiler] spooks [/spoiler] in this game and i found there wasn't enough in the first game which had more so that part is a bit of a flop IMO.

It's a fun platformer game! The soundtrack is great, the levels look great, the game feels great. Getting the highest rank on each level is hard but not unfair, and the bonus levels were fun and creative too. It's definitely worth a dollar and a few hours of your time!

Bom jogo. É uma sequência que trouxe poucas, mas perceptíveis melhorias em relação ao antecessor, apesar de ainda ter mantido algumas das mesmas falhas.
Na parte técnica é tão bom, senão melhor do que Toree 3D. A movimentação parece ser exatamente a mesma, com a diferença de que aqui há um level design melhor elaborado, com fases um pouco maiores e que permitem uma fluidez muito grande na jogabilidade, não sendo necessário ficar parado pra esperar as plataformas fazerem seu trabalho. A câmera continua igualmente ruinzinha e poderia melhorar. Foram adicionados inimigos que servem como obstáculos no percurso e podem ser destruídos usando uma nova mecânica de velocidade e uma boss fight no final do jogo que, apesar de bem simples, é divertida.
Na parte da arte, é bem bonito e bastante carismático. Apesar de haver reaproveitamento de assets, a composição continua excelente e as fases se diferenciam bem umas das outras. Os efeitos sonoros melhoraram um pouco e a trilha sonora continua sendo um dos pontos altos de Toree (em especial a da fase com tema praiano).
É uma boa sequência que vale ser jogada tanto quanto o primeiro jogo, principalmente levando em conta a curta duração. Recomendo a quem busca um jogo simples pra jogar sem maiores preocupações.

An amazing sequel of an already decent game. I enjoyed it far more than the second one. Although i still have some gripes, most being that this game is quite rough around the edges because it still has the same issues as to the first game [such being that the settings menu is barebones and the whole game tearing apart if you haven't manually set it to 60FPS], with little upgrades whatsoever [mainly removing the wind turbines from the game, the collisions being improved and the timer reseting to the point you set your checkpoint if you die]. The 3 bonus stages are very fun and i loved exploring them but the first two are very open take much longer compared to any other level, which makes getting the S rank all more tedious and more of a slog than an actual challenge most of the main story levels can give you.
; the fact that you can't really see what's on top of you in some levels [mainly the volcano and bonus levels] because the camera locks when it touches the same axis as your character's feet is kinda donkey butt.
Other than that, I am more fond of the music compared to the first game, and the levels have better structure and design. I recomnend getting this game as it is cheap and piss short.

Its cute litte yellow bird collecting star with various level, there is total 8 stage which make this game really short. You can make all the stage S Rank if you beat the level and collecting all star under 1 min. The way you kill the enemy you must cover yourself with green laser which pretty unique. Overall its good game
If you liked Toree 1 you will like Toree 2, as its more of the same with slight tweaks.
Same fast-paced fun, same adorable little bird with sunglasses and once more just a bite-sized little game you will finish in under a hour (or you try to go for S-Rank in each level, those are super hard and will most likely give you more playtime)

It's not utterly unenjoyable, you can get a bit of entertainment out of it, but for a platformer like this the movement just feels sluggish and kinda floaty. The double jump physics aren't satisfying either. And you don't seem to have any movement tech options other than sprinting and jumping. The level design is pretty linear and rarely makes you feel like you're being particularly skillful. The combination of all those factors makes for a game that wants to be about fast and skilled movement, but fails at doing either speed or skill-based gameplay well. The skill ceiling feels rather low and with the extreme times needed for S ranks, it feels like you're bashing your head against said ceiling hoping for cracks rather than actually "grinding out skill" and improving.
The graphics and art are a mix of colourful and cute with a bit of weirdly disconcerting. No complaints on the art front.
It's not overpriced, at least, but it has enough pain points in the moment-to-moment gameplay to make it a somewhat unpleasant experience.

If you liked Toree 3D you'll enjoy this one too.
More of a game you try to speed through compared to the first one where you're dodging more enemies and obstacles. That can be fun, but this is too short of a game to complete, and the sheer difficulty of getting A ranks plus the lack of an automated camera brings this one down for me. I'm also not a big fan of the final boss.

Everything I'd expect from a sequel to Toree 3D. Better level design, improved game mechanics, more unlockables, and another amazing soundtrack. Absolutely recommend.
Just as good as the first one, maybe a little better, the addition of a boss fight was cool. The controls are surprisingly good in both games and I really think they've got something with this round bird/backpack thing

I really enjoy the retro pixel art style and the smooth particle effects. They give the game a great vibe. The only thing I feel is missing is some pixel-style music to match the visuals. It would also be amazing if the game included online multiplayer and a map editor so we could create and share maps with friends. That would make the experience even better.
Feels pretty bad to play honestly. If you liked the clunkiness from many PS1 games I guess it's okay for that. Wouldn't recommend it otherwise even though it's very short.

I'd give this a neutral review if I could.
It's a well made game. Pretty much everything works as it should. The only complaint I can think of is that performing a double-jump would sometimes reset my upward momentum to nothing, so if I was trying to jump up to hit a "boost ring" that was supposed to launch me higher into the air but I mistimed it and hit the ring before doing the double-jump then the upward boost would get interrupted by the jump and I wouldn't get the height I needed and I'd either fall to my death or just fall to the ground and have to climb back up to the booster. That one got me quite a few times.
It's a cute, small experience. I don't regret buying it and playing it, especially given how inexpensive it was. I think it's just not really my kind of game. I played for 1 hour and 51 minutes and by then I felt it had long outworn its welcome. Put another way, I played this game for almost 3 times as long as I played the first one, and I think I "felt done" with both of them after about the same amount of time. But sometimes I'm stubborn and keep doing something I'm not fully enjoying because I want to see what happens when I collect all the stars or whatever.
I played through all the main levels at least once as Toree and got all the stars. Then when I unlocked Macbat I played through all the main levels again and collected all the hidden discs. Then I played through the three bonus levels as Toree and to the best of my knowledge I collected everything there was to collect in them as well. Then I played one level as Glitch and that was enough for me. I didn't unlock the fourth character, who I'm assuming unlocks when you get S rank on all the levels. But the idea of doing that didn't appeal to me.
I just didn't feel the need or desire to keep running the levels to shave off a few seconds to get S rank on everything. I looked up the times needed for S rank and if my score was within a few seconds my first time through then I did go through the level again trying to get the S rank. And while I did get S rank on a few levels, at least half of them I was just a couple seconds off and I had no desire to keep trying.
So at just under 2 hours I consider myself done with this game for good.
One final note: The store page doesn't make it clear (I bought them both without understanding) that this game, along with the first one, a supposed to invoke the idea of being a "haunted PS1 demo disc." After buying and playing them my opinion is that none of the "weird stuff" was scary at all. I would say the game is appropriate even for kids, as long as they're old enough to think kid-friendly "horror" (typical kid trick-or-treating Halloween stuff) is fun rather than scary.

More Toree, and that's a good thing! This outing is definitely a bit more polished, developing ideas established in the first entry. The added mechanics elevate the gameplay, the boosters and jump pads give things more depth, The megaman influence is played up this time, and the level design overall really impresses. Cheaper than chips, unreal value. Buy.
It still has some little parts where it's fluidity it's a bit meh, and a bit too streamlined for the most part for what regards the gameplay as Toree, but it's way better than the first game, and the space levels are very cool. Still I honestly didn't care about S ranking the bonus levels, that were cool to see and collect stuff, but a bit imprecise with some collectibles hitboxes, so having to collect everything aside from the stars with levels that didn't have any flow wasn't worth it. I mean the third one kinda wasn't like that, but it wasn't worth it to S rank only that between the bonus levels. As for all the other levels, I S ranked them.
P.s.: a certain secret character is very cool and worth to unlock

An improvement over the first game, loved it. Short and sweet, the last boss was tough but that's probably because I suck at platforming type games.

It's like actually good, like really good, it's kind of weird, but like this is the best cheap game on steam, you might be able to 100% the game in 2 hours but it's all fun along the way. Please buy this it needs more recognition. 8.3/10

A lot like the first Toree, it hasn't changed much gameplay wise but maintains Torees fun and simple platforming style. I'd say the music was probably better but other than that it's sort of the exact same thing and I like it but i'm not crazy about it.
It's everything you liked about Toree 3D, with better levels and an increased emphasis on speed and momentum. Still no listing of rank times or high scores anywhere though.

I think the level design is fairly good and intuitive and the game has a good retro aesthetic.
The only thing that I don't like about this game is the camera. It feels like I'm constantly looking down at a lower angle, or trying to adjust it so I can actually see.
I played this to see if it'd be good for a child around 6/7 years old. I think it's fairly accessible for children, except for the final boss fight.
For a dollar I think it's worth playing.

While the gameplay and setup are pretty much identical to its predecessor, Toree 2 both lacked the infuriating train levels found in Toree 3D AND leaned a bit more into the horror aspect of things, which I greatly appreciated. I also particularly liked the beach level and, while the boss fight at the end was far from perfect, it was still a nice surprise. I liked the couple subtle nods to Siactro's other games that I caught, such as the weird glitch-face thing from Macbat in the background of one of the later levels, and the little ending cutscene was really cute. Would definitely recommend to both Siactro fans and newcomers alike.

At first glance this game looks interesting and like it could be fun. but when you actually play it, it seems like it's unfinished.
The game is billed as "low poly" -- and it is, but the graphics look rough in a way that's not explained by a low polygon count. And it doesn't look "retro" like a 2D game with "pixel graphics.
I suspect the game is rendering their low-poly 3D world to a low-resolution frame (320 x 240 maybe?) and then scaling that up to the display. That might be okay if they were doing any filtering to smooth things out, but that does not appear to be the case. The result is that the graphics look a bit.... crunchy.
That might be okay if everything else was working right, but the 3D world at times seems to be incomplete, like an old time movie back-lot where the buildings have fronts but no backs or insides.
I played though the first level. Until you've reached the first checkpoint flag, the game makes you go back to the beginning of the level when you die, which I would probably mind less if I wasn't already frustrated with the graphics. As you hit checkpoints, that becomes the re-spawn location after the next death.
It wasn't a bad game once I got the hang of it, but there are too many other games in my library that deserve attention. I probably won't be coming back to this a lot unless they de-crunch the graphics in an update, which seems unlikely.
Great game! I desperately want it all just to be one big game with achievements though, instead of collection of small games. Feels like a waste of time 100%ing them without any achievements.
